I don't think I'll ever be able to get over having chronic pancreatitis bc a psychiatrist prescribed mirtazapine to help me sleep and all it did was make me sluggish before rising my lipase levels to 800; triglycerides levels were out the wazoo too but I can't remember the exact number.
But I had waited 3 days before going to the ER about the pain I was having (pancreatitis) bc I've been gaslit by medical professionals my entire life; I only went to the ER bc our cat acted different towards me.
And the kicker of it all? The psychiatrist tried to argue with my mom and I that mirtazapine wasn't the cause. "In my (so-so) years of prescribing it this has never happened." When I, at 19, didnt drink alcohol and no other medication on my list (at the time) could do what it did. When we pressured him that it was the only possible thing, bc the ER doctors all agreed that was the sole thing that could have caused it, he still didnt believe us but proceeded to look it up on his computer anyway- looking more like he was going to prove us wrong.
He looks it up and well what do you know, we aren't lying, it was like a 1-in-1000 chance. He didn't even know that could happen.
I was 19. Now I'm about to be 23 in a week and I'm still suffering bc of it. I have chronic pancreatitis, if I don't take or have the CREON I'm prescribed then my food doesn't digest properly and on a bad day will cause my pancreas to flare.
I don't think it's related to this incident but that psychiatrist retired not long after this happened. Sometimes wonder if this makes me more of a victim to medical negligence than I already am; that man did not know all the possible side effects of the medicine he was prescribing. What the fuck, dude?

Mimosa
Good morning everyone! Who is currently wake 'n baking? This morning we're smoking some Mimosa strain to wake us up while drinking some Rogue Energy Rocket Pop energy drink mix. Just took some Kat's Botanicals Rogue Hippo White Vein Kratom and decided to test this new strain out and do a review.
Gear
Today I'm currently using Raw 1G Blunt Cones, and then I also have a mini cone of Obama Runtz. My grinder is a 1 Stage from GrassCity but today I get my other grinder when my Amsterdam Glass Mini Bong from GrassCity gets here!
Genetics
Symbiotic Genetics turned Purple Punch and Clementine into the sativa-dominant (70/30) Mimosa strain in 2017. The strain sits at a THC content of 21% THC for the batch I got.
Appearance
Tumblr media
Amber veins and hairs run through the dark frosty green buds . I got some smalls because it's more affordable but just as potent. Ended up getting an Oz for 50$ which is a wildly good deal where I live!
Effects
Mimosa is a perfect strain for morning use, and delivers a happy and energizing high that can help you start your day with a smile. Mimosa is also known for its therapeutic benefits. It can balance your mood, ease your stress, and stimulate your appetite. Many people with ADD and ADHD find Mimosa helpful for calming their mind and improving their focus. Mimosa can also alleviate depression and migraines with its uplifting and soothing effects.
Mimosa has a delicious taste and aroma that resembles a fruity cocktail. You can enjoy the tropical citrus and berry notes of Mimosa, with a hint of woodsy and floral undertones. Mimosa can cause dry mouth, so make sure to stay hydrated when smoking this strain!
Smoking Experience
After I sparked my 1G cone up, the woodsy, flowery taste hit me first. Then, on the exhale it has a bit of an orange and berry taste as the thick smoke rolls of my tongue. The smell is VERY strong, so if you are an incognito smoker, be sure to make you a sploof. I live in an apartment but everyone knows my wife and I smoke. Definitely wouldn't be smoking this before an inspection or the landlord coming over though! Oust is always going to be your friend, and a good air cleaner.
Every two months our landlord comes to "inspect" the house, so as it gets closer to that point I'll probably be blowing into a tp roll/dryer sheet! This stuff is definitely dank!
It takes about 5 minutes to really start ramping up, then you're going to be hit with pure euphoria, after about 15 minutes it changes into a warm comforting waves of calm and focus, it's like wrapping up in a warm soft blanket right after the drier is done. I have Diagnosed Autism, ADHD, Agoraphobia, Social Anxiety, Depression, Chronic Pancreatitis, Spinal Stenosis, and Huntington's Disease and I found an overwhelming relief from both my pain and mental health issues.
In fact this strain made me talk non-stop most of last night the first time I smoked a joint of it. I normally am very quiet, as is my wife, but this is definitely a social strain. My wife and I had deep conversations about the universe, so definitely helps foster creative and expansive thinking.
Activities to do After Toking
I played Path of Exile a lot last night when I first smoked a joint of this and then a joint of the Obama Runtz before bed. I found myself listening to Martin Garrix, later G Herbo, as well as some Biggie. a good strain to vibe to and listen to music to. It didn't cloud my awareness, or make me couch locked. It's a very active strain so I really love it. I was able to focus on just having some fun! Would be a strain I'd use if I wanted to focus on reading too. I often like to read astrophysics books. Watching documentaries would be great, especially nature ones. Definitely a good strain for if you have a pet in the house too as pets always raise the comfort level of most strains.
I'm a game developer so this would also be my go-to if I needed to focus on repetitive things such as level building, and I believe it'd help me with my creativity in game design! Probably going to end up doing that today while listening to music because I'm currently working on a Castlevania-like 2D platformer.
Growing
This strain flowers in about 9 weeks. If you plan on growing it outside, it'll be ready for harvest in mid-October, sometimes even later.
Mimosa is not too difficult to grow if you want to harvest a mid. But to get 27%, it's recommended to use a high-nutrient plant food to encourage your strain to flourish. Mimosa is greedier than the average plant, nutritionally speaking, so make sure to give your plant lots of nutrients and TLC!
Conclusion and Last Thoughts on the Mimosa Experience
It's an enjoyable, social, fun strain that helped me get stuff done. I was able to remember things better and less agitated during the night, I ended up drifting off into an 8 hour deep sleep when I usually sleep 2-3 hours max a night due to the Early Onset Dementia from Huntington's Disease. I have a real issue with focusing too and don't take any ADHD meds but this strain helped me vibe for hours before I took a weed nap! I woke up refreshed, and the strain was so good I couldn't resist a wake 'n bake. I'll do some more writeups later today on my bong and the Obama Runtz from last night! Let me know what your favorite strain is in the comment section!
Nothing in this article is medical advice, always check with your doctor before indulging in medical cannabis/legal cannabis.
Thanks for toking with me!

Medical Second Opinion On Reversing Damage To The Pancreas
Minor damage to the pancreas can often be reversed with proper treatment and a healthy lifestyle. More severe damage, such as that caused by chronic pancreatitis, may not be reversible. Treatment for pancreatic damage typically focuses on relieving pain and managing digestive problems. Some people may require insulin therapy if their pancreas is no longer able to produce enough of the hormone. In rare cases, a pancreas transplant may be necessary.

There are no specific blood tests that can definitively detect pancreatic cancer on their own. However, there are certain blood markers and tests that can be used in conjunction with other diagnostic methods to help assess the possibility of pancreatic cancer or monitor the disease's progression.
Some of the blood tests that may be considered in the evaluation of pancreatic cancer include:
CA 19-9 (Carbohydrate Antigen 19-9): CA 19-9 is a tumor marker that is often elevated in people with pancreatic cancer. However, it is not specific to pancreatic cancer and can be elevated in other medical conditions as well. CA 19-9 is most commonly used to monitor treatment response and disease progression in individuals with known pancreatic cancer.
CEA (Carcinoembryonic Antigen): CEA is another tumor marker that can be elevated in various types of cancer, including pancreatic cancer. Like CA 19-9, CEA is not specific to pancreatic cancer and is used in conjunction with other diagnostic tests.
Complete Blood Count (CBC): A CBC can provide information about the number of different blood cells, which can be affected by pancreatic cancer or its treatment.
Liver Function Tests: These tests measure the levels of certain liver enzymes and substances in the blood. Abnormal liver function test results can be a sign of pancreatic cancer or other liver-related issues.
Note that while these blood tests can raise suspicion of pancreatic cancer, they are not definitive diagnostic tools on their own. To confirm the presence of pancreatic cancer, further diagnostic procedures such as imaging tests, endoscopic examinations, and biopsies are typically required.
For the general population, the focus of a full-body checkup or general health screening typically includes monitoring for common health issues like high blood pressure, cholesterol levels, diabetes, and early detection of more prevalent cancers such as breast, colon, or prostate cancer. While these screenings are important, they are not specific for pancreatic cancer. Get full body checkups done to detect pancreatic cancer and other health diseases early.

The heroic version of "Mother Knows Best" from Disney's Tangled is me singing it to my dog to reassure her during scary storms ("mother's right here, mother will protect you"), to convince her to not run off down the street with reckless abandon because she saw a small animal and slipped out of her collar ("mother knows best, listen to your mother, it's a scary world out there [. . .] skip the drama, stay with mama"), and to convince her to not eat random scraps of garbage at every opportunity.
. . . that last one requires more creativity, admittedly.
"Mother knows best / take it from your mumsy / eating that will make you sick. / Stomach pain and puke / an inflammed pancreas - yes / it'll mess you up quick! / Bits of plastic, tape / tons of toxic acorns / and some odd slimy . . . bone? / None of these are food / you're weird to wanna eat them / I'm just sayin' 'cause I wuv you . . ."

Survival rates for chronic pancreatitis vary widely and depend on several factors, including the underlying cause, overall health, and how well the condition is managed. Chronic pancreatitis itself is not considered a terminal illness, but its complications can impact life expectancy and quality of life.

Calling on all non-Black ppl & abled ppl to contribute funds & share this aid request for my dear friends Liv & Webb!
We urgently need money for electricity & water, otherwise Liv may be killed on the streets by cold, life-threatening infections (especially COVID), and police/white supremacist violence.
venmo: Webwil1240
cashapp: $DaunderDogg
paypal: @ORiveraWilson
one link with all their direct paylinks: moneyyy.me/$livi5567
food wishlist on amazon
cleaning supplies wishlist on amazon

what to know about this emergency situation:
--🌹🥀🩸--
Liv & Webb NEED their own secure housing to keep Liv safe from infection, especially covid.
She’s constantly bleeding, with an open stomach wound, has frequent seizures & even heart attacks, & has been only repeatedly abused by hospitals who, for example, coerced & manipulated her into signing a DNR.
Medical abuse & neglect has worsened her condition to unimaginable extents, even though treatment can significantly help her if only they could have enough money.
Webb always watches over her, tends to her body, keeps surfaces sanitized, protects her from abuse, desperately brings her back when she stops breathing.
Her teeth have broken apart and fallen out because she’s always throwing up & doesn’t have enough food to eat.
Liv worked extremely hard to graduate college with a degree in cybersecurity, but this cruel world has forced her to give up on her career dream.
Liv and Webb have been in love together for many years and would do & have done anything and everything for each other.
Webb has been physically disabled by a car crashing into him and by more medical abuse on top of that.
(Months ago, they forced him to walk 12 miles daily to physical therapy in excruciating heat with a fractured neck & back & everything because he didn’t have a working car nor money to get there using rideshare, and if he didn’t show up every day they wouldn’t pay his settlement for the car crash… even though they clearly knew it was only making his condition worse. Deeply evil).
Even in his physical condition, Webb has worked extremely hard to make money for Liv, but employers exploit his labor & cheat him of fair payment for his work because they know he can’t do much to retaliate.
Liv and Webb care wonderfully for their multiple beloved pets with their extremely limited resources, their puppy Blue loves and protects Liv.
Liv & Webb’s families are horrifically abusive and cruel and have left them to die, gloating to them that they’ll throw a party after Liv dies, sending the most horrible abusive messages to Liv.
One abusive family member forces them to pay full rent & utilities for a home that he frequently kicks them out of.
They can’t stay when he’s there - previously, he has brought friends to rape and beat Liv, he has purposely used up all of their living supplies, set the temperature to flip between extremes & blasted loud audio just to torture them, he has poisoned their beloved pets.
It’s extremely dangerous for Liv and Webb to stay outside: even when they have a car, they’re constantly chased away and harassed and threatened by strangers because they’re Black and poor and disabled. They’ve barely been eating anything at all.
Liv and Webb have been crowdfunding online for a long time (years!!) and received immense floods of harassment.
Liv and Webb need community support, money to secure their housing every month, money for their car, money for food and basic hygienic needs.
Liv and Webb are extremely important to me. They show me every day that people with illnesses and disabilities (like me) deserve unconditional love and care and support, that it’s possible for two people to love each other so dedicatedly that they weather & survive insurmountable obstacles & constant hatred from the world around them, no matter what, for years, even as their living conditions permanently alter their bodies and souls.
We need to support Liv & Webb so that they can continue living and caring for each other in this horrible world.

Can someone please just help me?!?!?!
I need to stop eating! Not due to weight issues, I can’t stand this bowel condition anymore.
I can’t sleep. I hurt every single day because of *toilet use*.
I feel so fucking sick.
I haven’t got an eating disorder! I don’t have anything like the sort. I just want to stop eating until my appt at the colorectal clinic on the 5th October, where I’m discussing surgery for a colostomy bag.
There’s no evidence to suggest that I’ll get the colostomy bag after that. I may have to wait for months. I can’t wait that long.
My bowel condition means when I eat, I have stomach issues. It causes pain, sickness, exhaustion, pretty much any pain/sickness you can think off.
Please just somebody help me!!!

The pancreas is a vital organ located in the abdomen that plays a crucial role in digestion and blood sugar regulation. Several disorders can affect the pancreas, including:
Pancreatitis: Inflammation of the pancreas, which can be acute (sudden and short-term) or chronic (long-term). Gallstones and alcohol abuse are common causes of pancreatitis.
Pancreatic Cancer: A malignant tumor that forms in the tissues of the pancreas. It is a serious and often fatal disease. Symptoms may include abdominal pain, weight loss, jaundice, and digestive problems.
Pancreatic Cysts: Fluid-filled sacs that develop within the pancreas. Most pancreatic cysts are benign, but some can be precursors to pancreatic cancer.
Pancreatic Insufficiency: Occurs when the pancreas doesn't produce enough digestive enzymes, leading to difficulties in digesting and absorbing nutrients from food. It is commonly associated with conditions like chronic pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, or pancreatic cancer.
Pancreatic Divisum: A congenital condition where the ducts within the pancreas don't properly fuse during development, causing inadequate drainage of digestive enzymes. It may lead to recurrent pancreatitis.
Pancreatic Endocrine Tumors: These tumors originate in the hormone-producing cells of the pancreas. They can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Examples include insulinomas, glucagonomas, and gastrinomas.
Autoimmune Pancreatitis: A rare condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the pancreas, causing inflammation and fibrosis. It can mimic pancreatic cancer or chronic pancreatitis but responds well to corticosteroid treatment.
Cystic Fibrosis-Related Diabetes (CFRD): Individuals with cystic fibrosis (a genetic disorder affecting multiple organs) may develop CFRD due to damage to the pancreas, resulting in impaired insulin production.
Acute Pancreatic Necrosis: A severe complication of acute pancreatitis where pancreatic tissue dies due to inflammation and insufficient blood supply. It can lead to life-threatening complications.
Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma: The most common type of pancreatic cancer, accounting for the majority of cases. It arises from the cells lining the pancreatic ducts.
These are some of the pancreatic disorders. It's important to note that diagnosis, treatment, and management of these conditions require medical evaluation and guidance from healthcare professionals. There are best gastroenterologists specialised in diagnosing and treating pancreatic disorders like Dr Amit Maydeo. Dr Amit Maydeo can be consulted at H N Reliance hospital Mumbai.
