Can you draw more of Princess Zelda in her classic dress from the first ever Zelda game? It’s one of my favorite dresses from her and you draw her beautifully. Also, can do her blue maiden dress from A Link to the Past and her outfit from Four Swords Adventures where she has the red bow in her hair? They’re also my favorite designs of Zelda. Thanks!

Princess Peach!
Technically the “classic princess” dresses are maybe closer to mantuas with their hip-fabric buttt…. I can’t stand my attempts at drawing them so I followed the puffy sleeve trail and went for a 1830s inspired gown instead. I didn’t change much on the hair and crown side of things however so hopefully she’s still a little recognizable? As a kid Super Smash Bros was really the only video game I got to play (well I guess there was crash bandicoot as well but you can’t really redesign a polar bear in historic fashions…) so I’m fairly partial to Peach and Zelda, who were the two characters I played with practically exclusively. I’ve been thinking about doing some more video game characters so let me know if you’re interested in seeing any of them!

Link and Tetra because I'm obsessed with them right now but also I redesigned them because I felt like it. explanations under cut about my thoughts going into this design
Tetra: I got to that part where you find out she's descended from the royal line and got frustrated with her transformation. and after stewing about it for a while realized that it's not that she couldn't do a "princess" outfit she just doesn't work at all for the classical one they try to put her in it really just doesn't work for her so I decided to make it. the top itself is actually kinda cool and not that different from her own outfit so I let it stay but she absolutely needed the trousers instead of the skirt. she's a pirate she would absolutely keep the crown cuz TREASURE and also the belt but that one's also partially because it looks snazzy. the necklace is because it looks simpler and more suitable for tetra than the one with big beads that's the canon "zelda" design but also the king guy mentioned that she had a necklace she got from her mother that was part of the triforce and it might be the full triforce after that point but I still like that for her necklace and then sandals because it seemed the right mix of nice enough for the princess look and practical enough for tetra
Link: first of all he gets sandals too but his are close-toed partially because I love those and also because it's more practical for adventuring and I didn't want to draw toes any more. he also lost his sleeves because that just works better for the place they live and when he gets it he is less than thrilled about how hot it looks and he's 12 so you bet as soon as he left his grandma he took it off as soon as he could. the hat I forgot to draw but I wish I remembered to draw his bracelets from the beginning but forgot when I was on the lineart😭he gets freckles because I think they're cute please tell me you can see them I can't tell as I'm trying to post this but they're there. and strap for the sword because it makes sense and he's holding it the way I like to hold any strap I have going over my shoulder like that because it makes me feel cool

I actually really want a remake of Zelda 1, but not in the same style as the Link's Awakening remake. They could really go for the creepy, apocalyptic angle with all of Hyrule's people living in caves and making Ganon a cunning, intelligent, and terrifying beast. *slams table* I WANT TO SEE THIS IN BEAUTIFUL HEART THUMPING 3D

-dogs and cats, let us hold them Nintendo PLEASE
-Zelda, I wanna adventure with her and do cool shit with her and develop Links relationship with her while also keeping their relationship ambiguous for us aroace Link headcanons (me included)
-hopefully the reason she’s not in the trailers is because she’s gonna have a much bigger purpose and will be a important ally
-Another form of teleportation, shines and towers are gone so maybe tiny vah medoh (screw you Revali) will be our one way ticket to shit
-redesigning the gerudo. Yah I know it’s weird but the orientalism in a genshin and the orientalism in this game have kinda saddened me. Sure they have the skin tones down, but it would be nice to see a more fitting cultural clothing and less transphobic attitudes. It’s probably not gonna happen sadly but one can hope I guess
-more feminine clothing, if Nintendo wants to make Link androgynous I wanna run around Hyrule wearing a dress and killing Bokonlins
-Better story, botws story isn’t that bad but it would be better to have a more upright plot with Hyrules building or such
-with my last post, more of Links mental health and how he truly feels about everything happening around him
-finally classic Zelda dungeons, ones that invoke the same ideas of the past. And with the new arm as our new shiekah slate it seems like the best choice honestly

Link's Awakening HD!!! I love the art style of this game a lot and I hope the developers continue to make more HD remakes of the older games! As someone who played the oracle games before this one, this game improved a lot on playability and design so it was really nice breath of fresh air to not struggle against some of the rough aspects of those games (hardhat beetles). I wish I could've loved this game more, but as much as I enjoyed this game I still had issues with it (same with every Zelda game honestly :/).

Summary:
What an incredible remake. The opening and ending animations, the smooth gameplay, the amazing new remodels, wow. This was so charming. I am angry about the racist bosses and that did affect my score and I am just not excited to see them again when I play DX. (I know this is an issue throughout the whole Zelda franchise and even in my favorite games like OOT it frustrates me, esp since later games made some of these problems worse. But the 2D games were a lot better about their designs so it was just upsetting to see this in Link's Awakening, especially since this is a remake from 2019 and no one on the developers team thought it was a good idea to change the racist designs). Although I haven't played the original LA, I can say from my experience with the oracle games that this is an incredible improvement. Some enemies are absolutely the worst to fight in the pixel games and everything was just smoothed over and so much more enjoyable. I really hope they do remake the oracle games like this one because they're so fun and silly that I know my ratings of the game would increase with a contemporary redesign. Also what a cool story. Link, half dead, experiencing a dream world filled with early Nintendo figures. It's so unique and silly, I really enjoyed exploring the whole world. Nintendo should remake more old games and cut their shit out with these damn racist designs.

Ok, so little Unpopular Opinion to say the least, but I actually do like The Super Mario Bros Movie with Bob Hoskins (even though most of the Movie's Plots were indeed Shitty and that some of the Character Designs look absolutely nothing like the Original Characters) but what I do like about it is how it takes up a little FairyTale Aestheic Realistic development but on how that despite most of the designs being inaccurate, I like other people's takes on Designs that are Quite Different for their own personal interpretations despite the New Mario Movie coming up which I am exicited to see. As far as I am indeed one of the Few Fans who actually liked the 90s Movie, I decided to put up a little spin around the SMG4 characters if they were in the 90s Movie Universe. Inspired by a Few Out there who have done their own personal takes on what Characters in a Different Media based on the Said Franchise would look like in a Different Style. Considering that the 90s Movie made its own versions on some of the Mario Characters different, I figure why not do the same with some of the SMG4 Characters if their own LA Movie Counterparts were to be different than the Originals.
Some Info About My Own Personal Takes:

Meggy - While not looking alike at all with the Cephalopod Humanoid Creatures that we are all familiar with, I wanted to make an attemption of Inklings and Octolings by making them more Merfolk-like with a little spit of some Alien features as if Merfolk Cephalopods look something like Water-themed Aliens that still resembles most Cephalopods in Marine Life (kinda like the Amphibian Man from "The Shape of Water" and other Sea Monsters). Granted, I wanted to make Meggy's Inkling form something like an Actual Cephalopod Mermaid with more Squid/Octo-Like features (she still has the ability to transform into a Squid whenever she can) and as for her Human form, I know it's not very Athlete-like, but just imagine that she's still the same Meggy who can kick ass like a total badass but can still go through her Mer-Squid form whenever she want too. Also, Yeah, the Inklings and Octolings in this AU (while being Merfolk instead of looking more Humanoid) have the ability to transform into Humans for disguises whenever they go on land (so techincally think of it as in AU where if Meggy never lost her Inkling form).

SMG4 and SMG3 - Eh, not much about these designs. Let's just say I sorta redesign the New Designs of them by making them look close to how Mario and Luigi are depicited in the '93 film but I used accepts of more of their Real-Life Counterparts considering those Guys are indeed their Main Avatars to their own Fictional Mario World. I also gave SMG3 a sockhead instead of a Plumber Hat.

Melony - Considering that the Zelda franchise has Fantasy aspects, I wanted to make Melony look more like those Elf/Fairy-types of Creatures considering that she was turned as a Human by the Fierce Deity Mask. Say that she's sorta of a Fairy type inspired by the Nymphs of Greco-Roman Mythology, I also wanted to add in some Pink Flowers in her Hair while making her Wear a Forest-Fairy themed dress like most Fairies in Folklore (minus the Wings). As for the Real Inspiration for the Ears and even the Eyes, I mainly went with one of the Cult 80s Classics, "The Dark Crystal" by making Melony be inspired by the Gelfling characters in that Franchise; https://darkcrystal.fandom.com/wiki/Gelfling Axol - As far as Artists go throughout the Years, I wanted to make Axol look like some 90s Artist who can still draw Characters and Comics. Despite being born in Inkopolis in SMG4 Canon, in the 90s Movieverse, I can imagine him being born from a Sailor Family who had a passion for Art and even moves to Japan just like how did in the Original Series (so needless to say I did kept the Japan part of his life but for his Birthplace since Inklings and Octolings are Merfolk in this AU, Axol would have to be born in a Family of his near the Ocean at his own Beachouse where Inklings and Octolings still roam around the Seas). I also gave him one piercing in one of his earrings and let's just say that the badges that he wears are Buttons of Classic Anime Icons (like Goku from Dragon Ball or Sailor Moon).

Boopkins - Considering that most of the Mushroom Kingdom residents in the 90s version look nothing like their own actual counterparts from the Game, I had to make Boopkins a Human just like how the '93 Movie went. I know that Fishy Boopkins is based off of Spike (considering that he does appear in the Movie) but I actually wanted to make Boopkins look different from Spike like he's his own Actual Character. I went with the Blonde Hair and Green Eyes to resemble how he looks, I also gave him a Shirt that has a Fish on it considering that he's a Sea Creature but he's still the Guy who bonds with Sea Creatures and Anime. Bob - Like the Original, he is a Garo but I tend to take some inspirations off of the Garo Master from the Zelda Franchise. So like how that the Movie Goombas are, I wanted to make Bob's species look even more different by having them look something like the Skeksis from "The Dark Crystal" (hint by that Bird face which looks something like a Plague Mask and even the Reptellien-like tail), I also took one accept from his New Design by having him wear a Bandana around his Neck. I also gave Bob some pupils that would make it look extra Creepy.

Tari - I wanted to make her look something like a 90s Gamer by the tell of the Gloves and even that Outfit (which has the Rubber Duck on it), I also gave her Brown Hair and Blue Eyes with some little Blue diet on her Short Hair to still resemble on how she actually looked. In an addition, I also gave her a Heart necklace to resemble her own kindness. Saiko - Since she's a Bad Girl judging by her own name which translates to "Psycho Bitch", I wanted to make her look more Punk-like with a Few More Spikes to resemble her own Style and even have a Skull wearing a Bowtie on her own Top Shirt. I also gave her a Pink Eyeshadow since Pink is her Main Color but has for her Hair diets, I cut them off and made most of her Hair more Pink and even replace the Bowties for the Pigtails with a Headband that has a Bow on her head (I also gave her a piercing on her Nose). Imagine her living on the Streets like she's part of some Punk Gang who's got a Weapon of a Baseball Bat instead of a Giant Hammer.

Swag and Chris - Ok so much like how that the Mario Bros are depicited in the Film to resemble their Original Counterparts, I wanted to do the same for both Swagmaster and Chris, only instead, they work as Police Offiers working at a Police Department but are still are Security Guards like how they are in the Original Series. Swag almost looks like the same as his OG Self but for Chris, I added an Eyepatch on his own Scared Eye cause I thought it would be cool and I also gave him a little Tattoo that's meant to resemble Black Fire if you can at least spot the Other Addition that I added in. Shroomy - Easy as peasy, I made him wear a Different Scout Outfit to resemble his OG Self, though for the Hair color, he's still a Redhead like Meggy but I also gave him some Freckles as a relfection to some of his Spots from his own Mushroom head but even the Hair Bangs is mainly the real reflection behind his Actual Mushroom head.

Pssst- can u please talk about your aus? Any >,> I want to listen but am unsure of what to ask, so just ramble to me <3 - 🌸 (really don’t hope you have any anons with this emoji lol and if you do 📘 )
okay so the au i have the least on but want to develop the most is the trans girl Link au where she and Zelda go live with the Gerudo, it would give me the opportunity to put my own spin on Gerudo culture and stuff like that (bc we all know they're handled pretty badly in canon and I think it would be neat to fix it, and I am heavily on the side of the Gerudo being one of the most magically gifted groups in post-age of myth Hyrule. I would love to just sit down and brainstorm stuff about them but idk I kinda need a reason too lol)
I know I wouldn't be the best person to completely rewrite Gerudo culture (I am white) but I am well aware of what there is to get mad about when it comes to canon and what not to do generally, and I love worldbuilding and developing magic systems and stuff like that. I have the most personal insight on the gender aspect of their whole thing and I want to make it gayer and less cishet male-gaze-y. Honestly, I'm not sure where to start on that, but it interests me greatly.
another set of AU's I am currently obsessed with are my totk role swap AU's. Which I have condensed into two, my Sage of Spirit Link AU, where Link gets sent to the past with a secret stone, gets their arm amputated, and studies under Mineru to develop their spiritual powers and get all dragoned.
And my Sage of Time Link AU (combined with my Sonia/Rauru swap au) where Link works on his time power under Rauru who gets fridged and makes Sonia the Queen of Light (I am drawing her redesign rn actually) and Link gets the classic fairytale princess treatment of falling into a magical coma to heal the master sword and live long enough to meet up with Zelda in the present, and yes, he does have to be kissed awake (I am writing it right now). Because I wanted an au where Sonia wasn't just a plot device for Rauru and I thought an AU where Link gets to (eventually) fight alongside Zelda like a co-op game, would be neat. That also means that Zelda gets to hang out with the ghost of Sonia a lot and get all the cool Zonai powers alongside learning the different magic from the other sages.
I'm also thinking a lot about a Cinderella Zelink AU for a writing prompt that I'm getting way too into (FYI Link is the Cinderella in this au) there's just something about a classic fairytale moment being gender-swapped that really gets me kicking my legs and drawing hearts in my diary yk?

BAR’s PS5 Screenshots 9-17-2023: since I have purchase-downloaded both Monster Boy: The Dragon’s Trap and Kamiko for my PS5 console, as well as having finally purchase-downloaded both Lunistice for my Switch Console and the Shellshock Dimension DLC for my TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge game on my Switch Console too of course, I kinda thought maybe it was time I got to share some of what PS5 games I’ve been playing recently that I’m now catching up on, just about a week or two ago, I recently beat the FF1 Prequel: Stranger of Paradise, where I got to see how Jack Garland became the infamous 1st boss-dark knight villain in Final Fantasy 1 that most Final Fantasy Fans have come to love and hate for so many generations now, and I’ve just got back into playing where I left off with Oddworld Soulstorm, I couldn’t really think of screenshooting any gameplay pics of what I was doing with Abe since Oddworld Soulstorm doesn’t really have a photo mode to capture that kind of moment anyway, I decided to do some press hold-screenshots of one of these beautifully in game-animated cutscenes that already make this new cast redesign and animation style of Oddworld Characters in Soulstorm so damn Pixar like quality that this new oddworld sequel remake of Abe’s Exodus has become today, that I’m honestly surprised at how much more fleshed the characters and story driven cutscenes for this Abe’s Exodus reimagining has become today, and seeing Abe become more emotional for some emotionally dark moments really do make this oddworld game so interesting to me these days, and I really do hope that Lorne Lanning will make a Munch’s Oddysee reimagining to take place right we’re the Soulstorm canon ending had left off, like what if Munch got involved with helping Abe find his estranged mother as Abe will help munch rescue a whole canned Gabbiar of 150 baby Gabbits in such a reimagining too I wonder? Oh and as for Kamiko, that game is surprisingly the most fun Classic Zelda inspired indie game I’ve ever started on my PS5 too, and I hope you folks like these two games I’m currently playing on PS5 of course.

Analysis of the Hyrule Warriors Designs Pt.1
I’m doing a whole thing with redesigning Hyrule Warriors atm so I’m doing this post as a way to keep all of my thoughts and design ideas in one place. Just gonna go character by character and give my thoughts.
I’m not taking games like BotW into account when doing this because the game hadn’t been released yet when HW was in development/released. I’ll also not talk about characters who’s designs had been minimally changed to fit the new style - if changed at all. Just going to talk about the main characters, antagonists, and a few DLC characters I have a few thoughts about. All images and information is from the Zelda Wiki along with  gameplay on YouTube, so not all this information may be 100% accurate since I don’t own the game myself.
In this part is Link, Zelda, Impa, Lana, and Cia.

Starting off with the main man himself! Obviously up to this point, Link has generally had a very set design; the green tunic and hat (which is actually talked about many times both in this game and the series), so I didn’t expect them to come up with anything different. It’s recognisable, it’s a classic. Though, Hyrule Warriors does something very small but very significant:

He’s given this scarf as a way to distinguish him from other Zelda titles. I think this is especially needed, considering the fact that most Zelda games use their styles to distinguish each other. But now, in a gaming market where models with such high quality like this are the norm, there needs to be a way to make this  Link recognisable. I personally think they did an amazing job with it too.
Not only that, but the way he’s dressed in context of the situation makes sense. He’s a soldier of war so he wears pauldrons, bracers, shin guards, and chainmail, but being a hero is meant to be something shown off, to heighten moral with the troops and intimidate their enemies, so he doesn’t wear the typical chestplate that would conceal the green tunic.
Personally, there’s nothing I would do to redesign this character. The design team did an incredible job putting a spin on a design that’s so set in stone at that point in time. Even why the blue fabric is so saturated makes sense from a game design perspective, where it would be hard to see Link’s character model in the swarms of enemies.
And I know these don’t tie into canon since these are merely costumes, but I adore the way they changed Link’s character model for the other Link’s tunics (specifically Adult OOT Link, SS Link, TP Link, and Zelda 1 and 2 Link). Apologies for the sizes of the images, I’m pulling them straight off of the wiki.

The fact that they changed the entire style for a single model is some dedication, already knowing what an absolute task it is to complete this game. While I’m not entirely sure if the OOT costume is meant to be so angular as a nod to the graphic of the original game or if the render on the wiki isn’t the correct quality, I’m going to assume that it is, and congratulate them on that too. They all have different qualities to the models; OOT is very angular, SS has softer shapes and colours, TP is very realistic with desaturated colour scheme (props to whoever modelled his hair), and Classic is much simpler and has much warmer undertones.
It’s off topic, but I thought I should give it a mention.
Zelda
Next up is our favourite princess, Zelda. This is a design I have quite a few problems with. I’d like to say up front that this design is gorgeous, as well as the modelling, however this is about the factors in the character design and not the vibes.

My first and biggest problem with this design is the armour and it’s context within the game. For those unaware, this is the first ever game (not including the CD-i games) that Zelda has been a playable character, which means she is able to fight in the war. The big issues is the lack of appropriate armour and coverings. Starting with the armour, Zelda has the entirety of the neck, top of her chest, stomach, legs, and arms open for attack, which when your THE princess of Hyrule, is not a great thing. It’s a wonder why she’s even allowed to fight because of her status, but that’s a conversation about the plot holes for another time.
The lack of clothing covering her is astonishing. Not only is the design not very practical (the shorts instead of pants, the giant slit in the skirt down the middle, the entire chest, upper arms, and armpits exposed etc), it should be considered dangerous in universe to put Zelda in. The pieces of armour at her hip is quite impractical since it’s not protecting anything vital. I’d also like to know how her boots work with the entire boot looking so stiff and as if the shoe is unable to move at the ankle. Not only that but the detailing in the armour makes her top half look very cluttered.
Another gripe I have is her hairstyle. Yes, I get that most of Zeldas are platinum blonde and have their hair tied back, but I feel like the team that remixed Link’s design about 7 times in different styles should have experimented more. In my opinion, the most recognisable Zeldas are those which stray from the norm. For example, TP Zelda very clearly is a brunette, which makes her stand out from the rest. SS Zelda’s design is recognisable as Zelda, whilst not being in a fancy princess-y garb. The Toon Zeldas’ designs are used over and over again for a reason; they’re highly recognisable for their sailor-like dresses. I’m also gonna argue that her crown (circlet? tiara?) seems too jagged and sharp for a design decorated with flowing lines and curves. I will give the design some credit - the decorations hanging from the tips of the hair are somewhat unique and I do quite like them.
I’m also gonna give props to the modellers for once again remixing the styles for the different costumes. I am also confused as to why Zelda got a costume for Illia, but I love the girl so I’m not complaining.

Now, there’s a lot to fix with this design, from the armour, to the clothing, to the hair, so I present to you my own personal redesign of HW Princess Zelda:

I can’t say I came up with the idea for her more Greek-goddess styled clothing myself - it actually came from her title in the Linked Universe fandom; ‘Athena’ or ‘Artemis’ (I’ve heard both but I personally prefer Athena). I decided to stick with the idea due to Athena being the Greek Goddess of War, Wisdom, and Strategy, which I think fits Zelda pretty well.
Main changes are mostly to giving her a proper chestplate in place of the armour at her hips, giving her more layers and changing the style of dress to something slightly more toga-like, and her hair and crown. I did want to keep her hair up but decided that the way I styled it was unique enough to be recognisable.
At the point of writing, I’m suffering through a heatwave and my laptop is on borrowed time before it overheats, so it’s quite messy. For a better quality image of my idea: my better illustration of Zelda.
Impa
Impa’s design is a bit of a mixed bag for me personally. Her top half is very interesting and speaks to a lot of her inspirations. But the bottom half of her design is quite bland. While there is a Sheikah crest on her chest plate, if you take it away, it’s a little harder to tell that she’s a Sheikah.

It’s quite clear that the concept design team’s biggest inspiration were previous Impas, specifically SS and OOT. The issue is that it feels like it took too much inspiration from Skyward Sword, with the scarf, belt and feathers, and hair. To illustrate my point:

It’s understandable why Impa looks so different in SS compared to other modern games in the franchise - the Sheikah tribe hasn’t been established yet. However, in HW, it’s stated that Impa is the leader of the Sheikah Tribe, and yet she looks out of place beside Sheik (which is a whole other sack of snakes to do with the plot).
Additionally, her chest is quite open for attack with her chestplate covering a single part of her chest. And also, she doesn’t have anything on beneath her arm guards, which also leaves the backs of her arms open.
Really, these are quite minor grievances I have - I actually like this take on Impa, if my reaction is a bit mixed. As I’ve said the top half of her design is my favourite, she’s obviously inspired by feudal Japanese samurai, with the opening of her shirt (which looks to be based on a yukata though I’m not entirely sure) and the armour beneath the cut-out in her pants.
I think the reason I’m a little put off by the bottom half is because of the way her pants were modelled. They look almost denim jean-like, and it’s generally resolved in the concept art where Impa looks to have quite baggy trousers on.

Her outfit looks almost like some kind of romper/jumpsuit in this artwork, which I think looks quite good. I have a bit of an issue again with the lack of chest and arm coverage, but I think the big thing is that the model’s slight differences add up. For example, the brighter blue with the tighter pants is the thing that makes her trousers look like jeans. The makeup around Impa’s eye also adds a nice touch to an otherwise bland face.
How I would change this design is larger to do with leaning into more of her different influences - namely the idea of a war general in Feudal Japan. I’d also change her hair to keep it further away from SS Impa (though I do love the style), as well as changing her armour to be slightly closer to how it’d be made in Feudal Japan - iron, scale-like plates tied together - just to tie it closer into the theme. I think that the scarf feels a little strange as you can’t see the end, so I propose to turn it into a cape pinned to Impa’s shoulders via a brooch (kinda similar to soldier in Ancient Greece to tie a bit into Zelda). Also, I like playing with the idea that she has a small collection of weaponry attached to her such as tanto, washizashi, tessen/war fans etc.

Overall, Impa’s design looks quite nice, though some few issues make it hard to enjoy what would be a great design!
Lana and Cia
Okay now here’s the designs I have the most issues with. I have a personal vendetta against these designs. I’m lumping them together because they have many of the same critiques.

Lana. Love her or hate her, you have to agree that her design does not belong in the Zelda franchise. With the series being set so firmly in Medieval times (possibly England), most of the active human characters in the story wear practical clothing which would be some variation of tunic and appropriate leg-wear. The only difference are nobles like Zelda who wear the appropriate gowns and garb. Lana’s design in the meanwhile, is very modern, and looks almost akin to a character from a magical girl show. It would not be farfetched to show her to someone who has never seen Madoka Magica and tell them that she is Sayaka.
I get what they were going for with her design; Lana and Cia are sorceresses from beyond time and space, they should wear non-traditional clothing to signify this. The idea is great in theory, but it doesn’t work when you put them next to the other characters. They look like they’re from completely different games. I’m thinking it’s the Dynasty Warriors influence creeping into her design since both Hyrule Warriors and Dynasty Warriors are Musuo games.
Here’s a short list of a few of my biggest gripes with Lana’s design:
1. All of that skin exposed. Just because Lana is a sorceress, doesn’t mean that she wouldn’t get absolutely obliterated by an actual weapon to the gut. I’m fine with her not having armour since you could argue that she is fast and agile, but the fabric covering her is either none-existent or extremely thin.
2. Her outfit is extremely impractical. Not only is the one-sided cloak just not useful at all for keeping in heat and protecting the body from the elements, but her tiny skirt and sleeves would make it hard to walk around without flashing someone and hold normal objects respectively. You also see her walking around with a giant tome, but you never see on her design where she puts it or gets it from. 
3. Doesn’t fit with the franchise’s established setting. I’ve already talked about this.
4. Her hair is quite odd for someone supposedly from a random clan in Hyrule. Everyone in Hyrule has naturally occurring hair colours (browns, blondes, blacks, and white for the Sheikah), yet Lana has bright cyan hair. It makes her look quite out of place with the cast who all have relatively normal hair. Not only that, but her hair piece makes her stick out from a crowd.

As with Lana, Cia shares many of these gripes. Personally, hers is a little less on the annoying side as Cia is doing most of the fighting behind the scenes through magic, so she doesn’t need a lot of the practicality the other character’s outfits should have.

So I’m not constantly bitching about the designs, I will say that Cia’s design looks quite nice. The colour scheme works very well together, especially the bright pops of red. The bird-like mask and hat is also very recognisable and does a similar thing to her silhouette as Link’s. I also love how they brought the red down the leg to create more continuity between the top and bottom halves. I quite like the short white hair she has when she’s unmasked and how you can see her ties with Lana quite easily without it.
That being said, my biggest issue with Cia’s design again falls on practicality. I won’t drag Cia’s design too hard with the setting since many antagonist designs are meant to be over-the-top and somewhat fantastical, especially when they aren’t mortal. I mean just look at Ghirahim. I accept that while Lana is trying to fit in with Hyrulean society somewhat to establish herself as someone who is fighting against Cia and since Cia doesn’t to do that, her design is more out-of-the-box. Cia looks out of place next to Link, Zelda, and other pre-established characters, and I think it fits quite well since she’s meant to look out of place. I guess it’s the issue of making them look too out-of-place so they don’t look like they’re from the same franchise.
With Cia, she may be a sorceress, but she started a war ffs. She knows there’s people out to kill her and yet she’s dressed in an outfit that exposes the entirety of her torso, stomach, and limbs. One swing from a sword in the right spot, and it’s over for her. Now I’m absolutely not against characters having more ‘sexy’ designs, I love when characters wear revealing clothing, but only when within logical reason. Cia’s design might fit in a game where the entire country wasn’t after her and was just Link and/or Zelda.
And since both Lana and Cia have their own unique plot-relevant costumes, I might as well talk about them too.

Both of these depict them in their ‘Guardian of Time’ costumes, which shows what the Guardian of Time Cia looked before her split into both Cia and Lana. First, I love the different detail changes in each other’s costumes with the switching between purples and blues and the length of the dress changing, I think it’s quite cute. I do also like that the feather motif is continued from Cia’s design, which makes me wish that Lana had more of a feather or bird motif to her outfit. I think the dress looks quite nice and I love the detailing, but I personally don’t like the split off front panel. I just think it makes the legs look quite awkward. 
Quick side note because it can’t be me, but I’m sure they made Cia paler for this outfit, which doesn’t happen for any other costume. If anything, her skin tone gets darker. It feels almost off due to the fact that these are the characters in costumes, not as the unsplit Guardian of Time. It’s very quick, but I thought I’d talk about that observation.
Because I’ve rambled on long enough, I present my ideas for redesigns of Lana and Cia:

I’m personally still on the nose about the pants on Cia’s design, but I think it might fit. I’ve changed it so most of the practicality and setting issues are checked off, while also adding symbolism. I’ve always seen Lana and Cia whole thing as being admiration vs obsession, so some of Lana’s design elements take inspiration from previous Links, namely the sleeve from TP, and the boot cuffs most noticeably from OOT. This is while Cia’s design takes directly from designs of his companions as if she’s jealous of them (the sleeve being similar to Fi’s arm-sleeve-thing for example). In addition, Cia also has chains instead of her coin-fringe-like cuff, as if she’s bound to a deal or under the control of Ganondorf.

TL;DR
While I’ll give my overall thoughts in the final post, from these five characters, my general thoughts are:
Link: They did an amazing job at distinguishing him from the previous Links. The scarf adds a lovely touch of colour to a usually muted green colour palette. One of the best spins on a LoZ character in the game.
Zelda: It’s not very practical and the flowing lines don’t match up with the sharper parts of her design. The dress is good at distinguishing her from other Zeldas due to the front slit and armour despite this.
Impa: A mixed bag of a design. The concept art displays the design quite well, though the model’s pants seem too tight and saturated, to the point they look like denim jeans. It takes a lot of inspiration from Skyward Sword to the point it’s very noticeable, but the top half of Impa’s design makes her very interesting to look at.
Lana: One of my least favourite designs. Her clothing feels very out of place for a Zelda character in this setting, almost as if she were from a modern magical girl show. Her design is very impractical seeing as she’s fighting directly in a war.
Cia: Shares a few issues with Lana. Her design is very revealing, which though can be good for some characters, goes against her as she has an entire country fighting against her in a war. Despite this, the idea that she looks out of place and fantastical works somewhat well due to being an antagonist who isn’t trying to fit in or was raised in medieval society. The issue is that it feels a bit too out of place.

The biggest games coming out in 2023
Hogwarts Legacy. This action/role-playing game is due to release on the 10th of February, created by avalanche software and published by warner bros. Set in the infamous wizarding world universe fans will be able to become a student at Hogwarts, be sorted into a house and much more.
Fire Emblem Engage. This Nintendo Switch exclusive releases on January 20th, the tactical role-playing game is led by protagonist Divine Dragon Alear who awakens with no recollection of their past.
Forspoken. Coming from the final fantasy XV creator Luminous Productions, the Japanese role-playing game promises lots of challenging and diverse exploration in this universe.
Dead Space. Returning on the 27th January fans of this series will see a visual makeover done on the game, it also modernizes this horror classic with a redesigned map, more gruesome moments and dynamic horror events.
Wild Hearts. This monster-hunting game is due to be released on February 17th, coming from Omega-force creators of the iconic game Toukiden, with its stunning visuals, ghastly beasts and blend of combat and crafting fans have much to look forward to.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Coming March 17th. The trailer sets the tone for more of a dark adventure, set 5 years after the events of Jedi: fallen order, the galaxy is set further into darkness will Cal be able to protect the legacy of the fallen order?
The Legend of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom. One of the most anticipated games coming to the Switch on May 12th 2023, Breath of the wild 2 will take us back to Hyrule as the desiccated corpse of Ganon has arisen, only now we will be able to explore islands in the sky and have even more abilities and weapons.

I was surprised after first react post twitter media is actually retweet by Mana Khemia's Japanese fan, it after Atelier spin-off Nelke appeared at 2018.
I seen Raze got 3D Model Character well, not bad so my react is fine then continue search post another- KYAAAAAaaaaaahhhhh!!!
i was screaming and scared after seen Vayne got 3D Model Character with A DE- Let's see about the second trailer on youtube after reacted post twitter, I was already A first trailer days ago then
My Reaction Result: Ok, how many times have main character female again? Well everyone goes worried and disappointed because a new game is mobile game (also on PC Steam) known the Gacha Game. It worried like previous atelier online.

There's A Full Body and This is Al-Revis Male Uniform reveal is appeared due on Coast (it's before be update photo mode on 7 March, it will update again.)
A Canon Backside is confirmed after 15+ years, i think Al-Revis Male Uniform has jacket, however it's not, I do not know why? It's really remake character design, why Al-Revis Male Uniform had same front and back detail, it curious how and where's removing uniform inside?

Link redesign ideas, hoping to do a bigger piece later on with zelda and ganon.
I really like the idea of link wearing something other than a hat but settled with the classic hat and ear armor/jewelry. I have some more iterations I'll probably post later
