Having BIG™ feelings about how most of the Jedi that survived Order 66 were literal children.

Children whose brothers turned on them, and whose parental figures were ripped from them for reasons that they would never understand. Children who didn't know how to live in a galaxy who accepted them, much less one that didn't. Children who had to shed the identity they'd had longer than they could remember just to survive. Children who watched as their people were labeled terrorists and the things they held sacred were desecrated to the purpose of hurting the people they were made to protect.

Children who had to pick up the (often literal) sword of those who'd come before them to protect innocents and hold onto what scraps of their culture that were left. That, to their limited knowledge, believed themselves to be the very last of their kind. Children who bore the weight of bringing justice to the deaths of thousands of their kin, not through revenge, but through the restoration of peace. Who in the fight towards peace, had to once again become weapons instead of peacemakers.

Of them training padawans when they were technically still padawans themselves. Who had to teach what broken pieces of their culture that they could still remember, because they were still learners when they stopped learning. Who taught in the middle of surviving in a galaxy that was out to get them on all sides. Whose padawans never got the chance to go to Ilum, or see the Temple on Coruscant, or bond with other padawans, or any other experience that should've been theirs by birthright.

If I think about it for too long my brain stops working and I cry.

The fondness in Rex’s voice when he talks about Anakin in rebels kills me every fucking time. Does he know. Does he know the general he served under survived order 66 because he was never a target. Does he know his own brothers in the 501st marched on the Jedi temple at Skywalker’s command. Does he know the man he would follow into hell without hesitation helped create the hell he lived through at the end of the clone wars

All the different types of fascists and fascist enablers on display in Andor and all of them being equally reprehensible and equally functional as tools of the Empire’s atrocities… Dedra, the gaslight gatekeep girlboss who has worked her way up through the ranks of military intelligence through her cleverness and grit, despite the bias and obstacles facing her. Karn, the blue lives matter, ben shapiro-ass renegade cop from a working class background who desperately wants a seat at the table. The nameless politicians at Mon Mothma’s parties, who discuss whether or not to support useless legislative bills against empire-wide repression while sipping thousand-credit champagne. The “I’d like to hang him” prefect on Ferrix whose desire to wield power over others at every possible opportunity manifests in the cruelest and most visible forms of oppression. The prison guards and the prisoners who protect their system. The civilians like Timm who make small-scale fascist goals achievable with insider information. Again and again and again we see how every person within a fascist regime who is not actively moving against it becomes a cog in their system. And I hope you’re all paying attention because some of you need to hear it.

When Cody wakes up, it feels as if he’s been slugged in the head with a blaster.

He won’t be surprised if that’s exactly what’s happened, from where the back of his head prickles with something of a ghostly press. That sucks.

“Ah, hello,” a voice suddenly says, and it’s taken most of Cody’s hard-rock grip on himself to actually prevent that startled jump. “Glad you’re awake.”

His heart’s making a racket, though. Force on a karking wheel, what the kriff.

“Easy. Didn’t mean to scare you,” the voice continues, and there’s a soft beep on Cody’s side that sounds like a heart monitor. “You’re alright.”

His eyelids refuse to pry themselves open, heavily sealed together with the glue of his sleep-yuck. The lack of cooperation has annoyance trudging past the haze of pain when Cody tries his best to find out if he’s on the way to being killed soon, and if killing him requires as much effort as letting him go through torture first.

Would it have been kinder if they just got on with it? Cody isn’t opposed to keeping his nails in tact, if that’s the case.

Kadi Kidiss, Champion!

The SFW version of the piece by @cadhla182 for the winner of my Tumblr OC Sexy(wo)man showdown, Kadi Kidiss. Short summary; she's a Clone Trooper, CT-9869, who was among the first to desert the Empire after Order 66. She joined a Mandalorian clan, Clan Kidiss, who were among the first factions to join the rebellion against the Empire, as early as 14 BBY. She's a heavy weapons specialist, a decent pilot, and an absolute fuckboi of a butch lesbian. Like she is the clan bicycle for horny gay ladies. And proud of it.

Her armour is symbolic, though most of it's off here--rebellion, vengeance, justice, redemption--but the important bit is her hair means 'loving/in love' but in this context basically signifies 'DTF'. So.

Anyway my Tumblr followers apparently decided she was my sexiest OC, so she got a special piece done of her. Enjoy!

New Gill and Cradle works!

I finally went through some of my old writings that I hadn't cleaned up and polished the ones about my boys. I thus added four whole new works to their collection!

Missing Home - Gill and Cradle have a wee chat about their respective homeworlds. Kinda sad.

A Long Awaited Confrontation - Cradle and Gill have a row.

Moving Forward - Gill makes a big decision, and Cradle is proud.

Last Lesson - Deep underwater on Glee Anselm, Gill receives one last lesson from his master.

I've had three of these forever and just never gotten around to polishing them, and then the last one was a spur of the moment inspiration I had. I hope you enjoy!

anytime a new star wars project is announced i keep hoping for something from the old republic era. there’s just SO MUCH there that will really expand the star wars universe but disney continues to be cowards.
