ALIENS FOUND ON MOON!

Well. Jupiter's moon. Europa.

And not so much "Aliens" as maybe bacterial life, or similar?

And not technically found but, strong evidence for it <Link>

So what actually is happening is that they keep detecting oxygen on Europa -- enough to keep a billion humans alive! -- and oxygen is a byproduct or even "Wasteproduct" of life.

Cyanobacteria

Here on earth, probably the single most common and one of the oldest forms of life is Cyanobacteria. And this Cyanobacteria produces oxygen..or excretes it..expels it as a waste product..pick whatever term you find the least or most offensive. And it's important that Cyanobacteria kept producing oxygen, because oxygen doesn't like to hang around in the atmosphere. It's pretty reactive, for example... Can you say, "Rust?"

So the fact that Europa has oxygen, and that this oxygen keeps getting replenished, is an extremely compelling piece of evidence for life on that moon.

Of course there's two problems with life on another world:

#1. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. And, yes, "Life on another world" is an extraordinary claim.

#2. Is life on Europa, assuming it's really there, indigenous or was it carried there from somewhere else, perhaps blown into space by an asteroid impact or super volcanic eruption?

Unfortunately space and the search for life -- our origins -- is NOT a priority. Science is THE OPPOSITE of a priority. We wasted $4 trillion dollars overreacting to a man-made "Crisis" in 2020, and at the same time government has surrendered space exploration to for-profit companies, because it supposedly can't afford it.

The Mars Curiosity Rover cost $2.5 billion. So if we bought one thousand of those -- 1,000 Mars Curiosity Rovers -- that would be $2.5 trillion, and our beloved government flushed $4 trillion dollars down the toilet overreacting to a man-made CoronaPanic crisis.

The Mars Curiosity Rover cost $2.5 billion, and Biden is fighting to send ANOTHER $60 billion to the Ukraine, flirting with war with Russia. We don't have the cash to send a Curiosity-level mission to Europa, or Venus or Ganymede but we can afford to spend 24x as much money for the honor of risking nuclear war with Russia.

OUR PRIORITIES ARE WHACKED!

Space is not a priority and never was.
