the comic says it has a lot of dark humor but i guess it just flies over my head? sure theres SOME obvious jokes but i dont think the dark humor is NEARLY as bad as homestucks by that i mean theres no blatant abelism in the comic or incest which is a huge thumbs up from me im tired of everything being problematic

anyways im insane for liking this comic probably but read it its so good i love the characters its actually really well written and worth your time if you have a hour free its only about 900 ish pages? maybe a little over but definitely read it i can proudly say its one of my favorite homestuck fancomics, that and hivezone, crossmound, homesick, and im sure theres way more im forgetting

On the one hand it's undeniably true that binaries are reductive, crude instruments and enshrining them as The Truth tends to cause harm in the long run.

On the other hand binaries are too useful to get rid of entirely, and probably too memetically fit to keep contained.

Perhaps the best we can hope for is a diverse marketplace of binaries where competition ensures that no single binary becomes too powerful.

So, my modest proposal is that if we want people to be less insufferable about gender, maybe we should encourage them to be more insufferable about Coke vs Pepsi, Star Trek vs Star Wars, and Vim vs Emacs. Incredibly annoying, yes, but it would be a small price to pay for a better, more equitable future.
