The Cotters - Aging up & fireplace dramas

Luke and Charles age up during the week, Luke into a child and Charles into a child. Being a proud father Cannon makes his kids a birthday cake each and celebrate them in the morning before he has to leave for work.

Luke kept his hair reasonably long and immediately took to the old violin nobody had played in decades.

He filled the halls with his music when he practiced morning, noon and night. Nobody minded his occasional missed note they were happy to hear him play.

Charles aged into a teenager becoming more analytical and building on his business smarts. Much like Cannon he had imagined an accumulation of wealth in his life, he felt business was the way to go.

For the hundredth time this week the Cotter's fireplace set the lounge ablaze and this time Elyse. All of the Cotters have a large fear of fire as both the fireplace and oven combust often. The only person who doesn't have this fear so far is Luke. The carpet has turned to dust so many times they keep the floor bare. The insurance barely covers their couch, yet they keep turning the fireplace on

Patrick Cotter O'Brien (1760-1806), of County Cork, Ireland, holds the distinction of being the first person confirmed, in his own lifetime, to be at least eight feet tall, at 8 foot 1 inch (c. 2.46 meters).

Depending on which source one reads, he may have been the first confirmed eight-foot tall person period, though I have read sources claiming that a skeleton was later found of another man, who supposedly lived earlier than O'Brien, and measured at eight feet in length.

Prior to him, there were the reports on Goliath's height, but the Dead Sea Scrolls demonstrated that a simple typographical error had inflated Goliath's height from something around 6 foot 9 (c. 2.06 meters), which means that Goliath was actually about the size of a basketball power forward, up to a fantastical 9 foot 9 (c. 2.97 meters)

The Cotters - Summer and Cannon's engagement

Cannon immediately set aside his feelings for Liberty and quickly put his sights on Summer. He had recently started a career in law, aiming to hopefully climb to the rank of a public prosecutor. The money he earned that didn't go towards bills, he used for a simple ring. After a month Cannon invited Summer around and told her to meet him in the backyard.

Right by the garden swing, Cannon got on one knee. Summer was taken aback, speechless. Thrilled at the proposal Summer nods furiously. The two start planning their lives together and Summer's immanent moving in. However first Cannon needs to let his parents know.

As soon as Collen woke up from her afternoon nap, Cannon tells his parents to met him in the reading room. We he breaks the news, Silas and Collen are thrilled their only child is engaged. Silas is chuffed thinking of his family hopefully soon expanding. He even suggests Cannon invites Summer over for a dinner to celebrate the engagement.

Despite Summer being around since she was a child, Silas and Collen never fully got to know her. Collen had made a foragers stew with the vegetables Silas had grown in his garden this summer. Collen sat not talking and being fairly cold towards Summer, even making a comment on Summers lack of readiness for being a wife. Silas glared at his wife before talking to Summer to hopefully make her feel somewhat welcome. Summer got Silas' approval for moving in the day of marriage. Cannon sat glad at least his father liked Summer and approved. He did feel slight dread about the upcoming day though.
