@naffeclipse's Mer Circus Baby from Song Fish, but my mind took one look at her and then proceeded to do its thing.

The rest of the design is under the cut. Warning for mouth centric body horror.

You know her face plates that move? She needs those in her mer form too.

I have an idea for the scooper too, but I felt that this post would be disturbing enough so I kept it out.

This is not 100% accurate, but honestly I just wanted to go ham. (I know she has a tongue in the fic, it can still be hiding in there somewhere, I just didn't find a place for it in any of these drawings)

AHHHH I've been playing Digimon Cyber Sleuth on and off again and I FINALLY digivolved my starting digimon ( Palmon ) all the way up to Rosemon !!! I wanted to sketch them for that reason... it took way longer than expected...!! But for that reason it feels like a big achievement!

This is specifically supposed to be my Rosemon ( His name is Squire ) but I think I could design him to have more of his own cool unique details as an actual Digimon oc !! So this is Squire... for now !!!

If we really wanted to aim for realism, you'd have to give Grian a second set of pectoral muscles - it's a second set of limbs after all! Wings require strong pectoral muscles but not the same ones that support a human's arms. Alternatively you could remove the arms altogether - wyvern bird cryptid!

As much as I love to sneak in touches of realism when applicable in my designs, ultimately you should just go with what looks appealing to you! I know I sometimes feel pressured to go for a design that would actually make sense, but then on the other hand... fuck it we ball. And any approach is absolutely valid

I want my Grian to be a little guy (so that his wings at full growth wouldn't dwarf everyone around him lol) and not visibly buff, but with strong upper body strength and core muscles (which, even if you have really strong core muscles, nobody would be able to tell at a glance (lest you're nude!) which I think fits Grian's character wondrously). And that's just my take! Love seeing all the different interpretations of avian Grian and if someone wants to make him a taller guy by giving him muscle or a second set of pectorals, I am ALL for it. This is just some food for thought! And just as a reminder that every interpretation is equally invaluable

The honrngyo is my favorite yokai and japanese cryptid by the way. They're a large aquatic salamander like yokai that resemble godzilla and it is a catalyst of designing Mrs Shao. I wanted to give the shao family the elements type deal where each shao family member represents each element like for instance Mei-Ling being fire, Hsien-Ko being ice and their mother being water.
