heres another secret santa that i did for the dark sbi server!!

wilbur helping the new addition to the family calm down after his first meal as a fledgling, hes such a good brother ^-^

as always, a bit of backround (i tried very hard to make it somewhat understandable without my help but):

tommy was a vampire hunter, if you look to the bottom right corner, thats his badge and hunter ID hidden in the shadows (fell off his old abandoned coat)

tommy was, of course, against becoming a vampire, but phil saw him and said its free son, and wilbur and techno were super happy abt their new brother

the dead man in the ground is another hunter. because its dark, its not visible, but he has a badge under him, and he first infiltrated because he was certain this place was a coven (he was right), then he found the missing agent, thomas innit, and planned to killed him (give him a honourable death after he was turned into a monster against his will). tommy doesnt know this, he thinks hes there to save him

however, tommy hasnt been near humans since being turned, and he goes feral and well. has a filling dinner.

wilbur was right outside and enters when tommy is feeding, and is like !! my little brother's first hunt !!! <3<3

when tommy comes to, hes horrified about what he's done, meanwhile wilbur is chastising him for making a mess of himself (its okay, a warm bath will fix that), the bedsheets and the rugs (its okay, they can replace them)

this is the day tommy slowly starts coming to terms with his new self; he is no longer human, and whatever piece of humanity he had left, he lost it after killing his old teammate.

Another trope I really like that I feel is underused is Light struggling with his own darkness. Like,,,, it's there, lurking beneath his Good Boy veneer before something tears a hole in it and lets out the monster. I like it when he embraces the evil, yes, but I also really like when he drowns in it. He's in denial of it, afraid of his own bloodlust and yet still too prideful and full of rage to run from it, so instead he convinces himself that this is what he deserves. He can be evil because those people he's hurting deserve it. He can be evil because he's God and he likes it. He can be evil, as a little treat.

But not before a whole heaping helping of denial and fear :D

Reverse Card (Vampire AU #1)

Hello, hello. A few days ago I remembered this old AU of mine. It's old as fuck. I've never posted any concept art or snippets of it if my memory serves right.

BASICALLY, it's a Wilbur centric story where Wilbur is a new unskilled vampire hunter sent along with Techno and Phil (who are almost veterans in the guild at this point) to a mission to hunt down some rando very young vampire who lives in a mansion behind some random village.

The catch is, that the vampire (Theseus) is actually one of the original vampires chosen by the goddes of death many MANY centuries ago and just looks like a teen. So the poor unsuspecting hunters are entirely caught off guard.

And Wilbur even more so, as this original vampire looks EXACTLY like his dead younger brother Tommy.

Theseus, despite his age, hasn't turned anyone yet. He doesn't like the attitude of the other sires who just turn people without second thought. He needs to feel a connection. Needs to feel that the one he is going to turn was MEANT to be by his side for eternity.

So what if he feels like that about these three hunters? And what if the brown haired one seems to be somehow unable to hurt him? Or rather, doesn't want to?

(I will try to find some kind of snippet from this AU. I remember writing a bit of it back in the day. So look forward to that)

He could tell the exact second Tommy’s conditioning kicked in. The thrashing struggle came to a shuddering stop and the kid froze beneath him in a way that made Wilbur feel wretchedly ill. Crimson poured out around the pair in violent glyphs, but Tommy stayed quiet and trembling and waiting, just like a good little altar lamb should. Why was Runningnose in the dark forest in ur au?

WAR CRIMES! LOTS OF THEM! A LOT OF WAR CRIMES!

Bonefall Runningnose is very different from canon. Instead of being another victim of Brokenstar desperately trying to do harm reduction and save people from his madness, Runny is his partner-in-crime. Brokenstar is the brawn and passion, Runny is the brains and calculation.

A short list of things Runny did, in increasing severity:

Forbidden magic. He spoke with the Dark Forest whenever StarClan refused to speak to him, learning lots of poisons and forbidden treatments

Frenzy herbs. One of the banned treatments he got from the Dark Forest was how to turn warriors into berserkers (to be clear this is not a 'mind control' thing, this is an 'eat this root to maul your enemies' thing).

Covered the claws of warriors in deathberry juice to cause infection. The intent behind this action was to dwindle WindClan's herb supply and kill as many combative warriors as possible.

Covered Raggedstar's murder. Brokenstar killed Raggedstar only once, his father's last life. Runningnose helped to cover this up.

Complicit in a massacre. He helped to plan the invasion into WindClan's camp at every step, ensuring that there would be no ShadowClan losses as they slaughtered scores of WindClan cats.

Killed Marigoldkit. They needed to get Yellowfang out of the way, one of the last voices of reason, so they could invade WindClan's camp. Marigoldkit was blinded by an eye infection and was taking herbs in a raspberry 'capsule' to encourage her to eat them. Runningwind filled the raspberry with poison and tricked Mintkit into saying Yellowfang killed his sister "with red berries."

Started an epidemic in ShadowClan to kill Cinderfur and Nightstar. To make way for Tigerclaw to become deputy, and then leader. Nightstar was too weak, Tigerclaw had ambition, and Brokenstar always approved of him. The sickness was on purpose. It was caused by a sick bat and blamed on a carrionplace rat.

If Runningnose has any regrets, it's that last one. It leads directly to the death of his brother, Deerfoot, and Tigerstar aimed to eventually disband ShadowClan. Runningnose realized that too late.

So, if 6 reasons weren't enough for StarClan to send him to the Dark Forest, there's also the fact that Runningnose doesn't want to be there. He thinks they're a bunch of smug hypocrites, and besides, he doesn't want to be anywhere that Brokenstar can't go. He walks into the Dark Forest without a second thought.

Tommy basically adopts two children while living that farmer cottage core life, I love Tommy-centric and this focused on him nicely (ending fluff w/ bench trio was a nice touch to the sbi hurt) 8/10

Probably my favorite fic, it's incomplete and I hate reading incomplete fics but the characterization? The duos?? Michael????

I love it and I think everyone who likes superhero AU's should read this. If you're looking for some nice crime bois I don't rec (I love crime bois I was sad too) but the bed rock bros is beautiful, also might help you out if you're morning techno rn 10/10

More bedrock bros centric w/ child Tommy which isn't a favorite of mine but I do like hybrid fics so it's on here, it has a single drop of hurt in a pool of comfort, pretty good fic 6/10

Would rec most from this author, they're the one who wrote the classic TommyInnit's clinic for supervillains, this is really just funny crack of crime duo, like I said I love crime bois and I have spades of crime recs 7/10
