CDTA updates
after thinking on it, i've decided to do as many others have done and turn CDTA into an original story. however, given how much certain events in cdta intertwined with canon tmc, this change in direction is going to require significant rewrites to fill the gaps left behind. at the same time, most of the major story beats (e.g. the leg yoinking, the Nightmare Sand Pit arc, the blood magic in the church etc.) and characterization will stay the same, so i'm still planning on working on the sequel & the 2011 character designs before anything else.
to efficiently bridge the gap, i'm turning CDTA's neocities page into a hub for all the lore changes, so everyone can get caught up before i put out the first chapter of the sequel.
needless to say, all of this is going to take some time, so for now i'll provide all the relevant name changes both for people who want to send asks and so the inevitable blorbo tagging makes sense:
Main Characters
Jonah Marshall -> Isaac Hawthorne
Adam Murray -> Joshua Atkin
Ruth Weaver -> Jessie Simmons (she and the character formerly known as thatcher have switched roles)
Evelin Miller -> Madeline Wells
Sarah Heathcliff -> Leah Milton
Joel Hayes -> Elijah Hardy
Chloe -> Cassandra Jordan
Antagonists
Alt!Gabriel -> Lucifer/Luce
Six -> Cairyx
Alternates -> devils (think like the Jersey Devil)
The hivemind -> Legion
Other Characters
Lt. Thatcher Davis -> Lt. Andrew Peters (he's now the one who talks to joshua in the Nightmare Sand Pit)
Dave Lee -> Zeke Swanson
Mark Heathcliff -> Rachel Milton (leah's younger sister)
Cesar Torres -> Amir Karimi
Mervin Marshall -> James Hawthorne
Jimberly Marshall -> Kayleigh Hawthorne
Lynn Murray -> Marilyn Atkin
Jude Murray -> Joe Atkin
Locations
Mandela County, Wisconsin -> Nox County, Iowa
Bythorne County, Wisconsin -> Hemera County, Iowa
St. Gabriel's Church -> St. Michael's Church
Other Terms
Department of Temporal Phenomena -> Bureau of Solomonic Affairs
Bythorne Paranormal Society -> Red Dragon Project/Productions
Type 6s -> Cael devils/the Cael
MystifyingOracle (in-universe youtube channel) -> EliThrills
#cut down the altar au -> #cut down the altar or #cdta
delilah, sam, and the ouija board Demon have remained unchanged. any character/concept not mentioned has probably been cut to streamline the story

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RACHEL TRUE!
Born November 15th, we celebrate the 57th birthday of Rachel India True (November 15, 1966 in New York City, NY); an African-American actress. She is best known for her roles in such films as The Craft (1996), Nowhere (1997), and Half Baked (1998). True is also known for her role as Mona Thorne on the UPN sitcom Half & Half, which ran from 2002 to 2006.
True was the middle of three children. Her father is of Ashkenazi Jewish descent, whereas her mother is of African American heritage. Her younger sister, Noel, is also an actress. True attended New York University.
True made her television debut in 1991 on the Cosby Show episode "Theo's Final". In 1993, she moved to Los Angeles and made her feature film debut playing Chris Rock's character's girlfriend in the comedy CB4. On television, she appeared in episodes of Hangin' with Mr. Cooper, Beverly Hills, 90210, Getting By, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters, Dream On and well as made-for-television movies Moment of Truth: Stalking Back (1993) and A Walton Wedding (1995). In 1995, she had supporting role in the erotic horror film Embrace of the Vampire starring Alyssa Milano.
In 1996, True landed her breakthrough role as Rochelle Zimmerman in the supernatural horror film, The Craft, where she played a member of a teenage coven. True stated that she had to "fight" to audition for the part and was actively going up against her future co-stars Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Robin Tunney. Her role was originally written for a white actress, but that didn't deter her from auditioning. In 1997, she starred in the comedy-drama film, Nowhere alongside James Duval, the film received mixed reviews from critics. The following year, True starred as Dave Chappelle's romantic interest in the comedy film, Half Baked. Also from 1997 to 1998, she also had the recurring role of Janet Clemens on The Drew Carey Show. From 1999 to 2000, she appeared in the ABC drama series, Once and Again.
True appeared in a number of independent movies, include With or Without You (1999), The Big Split (1999), and Groove (2000). She starred alongside Monica and Essence Atkins in the 2000 romantic drama film Love Song. From 2002 to 2006, True starred with Essence Atkins in the UPN comedy series, Half & Half, as paternal half-sisters who barely knew each other until becoming adults. She returned to film, playing the supporting role in the 2007 comedy The Perfect Holiday. The following years, she appeared in a number of smaller and made-for-television films, include The Asylum productions Social Nightmare (2013), Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys (2014), Sharknado 2: The Second One (2014), and Sharknado: Heart of Sharkness (2015). In 2017, True worked as a tarot-card reader in Echo Park.
True released her book, True Heart Intuitive Tarot, Guidebook And Deck in 2020. She appeared in horror films Agnes and Horror Noire in 2021. The following year, she joined the cast of the second season of Amazon Prime Video comedy series, Harlem. Also that year, True was cast in Half Baked 2, the sequel to the 1998 cult comedy, reprising her role as Mary Jane Potman.

Radiator Springs/Rusteze-Dinoco Racing Center/Fireball Beach/Thunder Hollow/Thomasville/Florida International Speedway (Cars)
Takes place after Cars 3.
It isn’t combat based. Missions include keeping up with McQueen’s top speed by racing down Radiator Springs’ main street, learning how to turn right to go left at Willy’s Butte, keeping up with Cruz’s top speed on Fireball Beach, avoiding pushy competitors with the Thunder Hollow challengers, and practicing with Cruz at Thomasville, culminating in the Piston Cup race at Florida International Speedway, where the objective is to win against Jackson Storm.
Sora enters the world as a custom-made sports coupe mixing a few real-life sports car models before visits to Luigi’s Casa Della Tires and Ramone’s House of Body Art end with him modified into a next-gen race car sponsored by Dinoco (with Tex’s blessing) and with Cruz’s number.
It’s set during Cruz’s first Piston Cup racing season, so McQueen still has Doc’s colors and spends the Florida race as Sora’s crew chief.
As Sora finishes his story, Mater is certainly unhappy with Xehanort’s actions forcing Sora’s hand. “That dad-gum Xehanort”, he says angrily. Extra points if Sora doesn’t get to the part where Xehanort is dead, then Sarge gets in his face and demands him to teach Xehanort a lesson when he gets back in a militaristic manner. “Is that understood,” Sarge yells. Then Sora tries to correct him, but gets cut off and asked again, “Is that understood,” and has to respond, “Sir, yes, sir!”
Of course, during the top speed races, Luigi is the one to signal the race to begin.
In the Radiator Springs race, Sora’s top speed is tracked by Sheriff’s speed radar, and on Fireball Beach, it’s via Cruz’s personal assistant, Hamilton.
If you fail the “Turn Right to go Left” mission, Sora goes flying into the bed of cacti, and Mater fishes him out.
I know I’ll get hate for this, but Cars 2 elements are here. Heck, maybe Mater can’t be present most for the training because he’s busy with Finn and Holley. After all, does he still owe Holley a first date?
I wanted the player character in this world to be Kairi just so Storm can feel the embarrassment of losing to not one, but two “costume girls”.
The Piston Cup race is announced as a 500-lap race, but no game developer is that malicious to force the player to race 500 laps around an oval, so they’d take after the first Cars game and make it twelve laps with the sun slowly lowering throughout the race.

so. might've created some more dsaf ocs.
sorta kinda revamped my boy Morgan, and gave him a partner.
so, brief run down on the two of them before and after death:
Morgan Bane (pre-death):
he/they
transmasc nonbinary dude
around 5'4"-5'6"
Anxiety Personified™
he's just queer in general. they don't know what their exact sexuality is.
also autistic.
worked as Fredbear's night guard after Jack...y'know.
started dating Casey while they were working together.
called Casey his "Lil Honeybun."
he just needs a hug so fucking bad.
Henry kinda scared them, so they'd generally ask Casey to go talk to him for them. eventually, Henry got sick of Morgan not speaking to him directly and pretty much would just send Casey back with the message of "if he has something to say to me, tell him to come say it to my face himself." despite Morgan saying that it was fine and that he could handle it, Casey would still go with him and would just glare at Henry through the doorway.
has...slight (major) dependency issues with Casey. is generally viewed as being "clingy" towards it.
worked at Fredbear's from 1974-1977.
Casey Atkins (pre-death):
she/it
genderqueer gal
5'9"-5'10"
also autistic.
she's pretty quiet, and doesn't talk much. except with Morgan.
calls Morgan "Scaredy Cat." in a lighthearted way.
worked at Fredbear's as a technician. also after Jack...y'know.
doesn't like Henry. like. At All.
worked at Fredbear's from late 1973-1977.
"Phone Guy"/Morgan (post-death):
died due to a Springlock Failure in October of 1977.
woke up in The Factory, half programmed, and immediately panicked and asked where Casey was. they also started saying some...concerning things. such as "P-Please tell me I saved her, tell me she isn't dead, I-I can't live with myself if she's dead-" and "Casey? Casey, please, where are you?! I-Is it here?! Casey, Honeybun, where are you-?!"
almost no one was able to get close enough to touch him to get him to calm down, or to shut him down to finish reprogramming him, so they decided to leave him be until he'd calm down.
uh...long story short, he never did.
given that they were pretty sure that he could not be trusted to work alone (he was almost constantly begging to know where Casey was, seemed to be trying to escape The Factory at any opportunity to go look for her), they just decide to send him to random Fazbender locations to be a "co-manager" of sorts, and basically make him the other Phone Guys' problem.
they seem to be interested in talking to this weird shadowy rabbit that lingers in the restaurants...and they call it "Casey," too...weird, huh?
(Henry got both Morgan and Casey springlocked on the same day; Morgan in Fredbear and Casey in Springbonnie. after being springlocked, Morgan tried to crawl over to Casey in a desperate attempt to save her and get her out of the suit. Henry, however, started to drag Morgan away from it as they started to black out from pain and blood loss. they died not too long afterwards. Henry's exact reason for wanting the two of them dead isn't clear, but maybe it was another situation similar to Steven's where he didn't necessarily need a reason; he just could and he did.)
"The Hare"/Casey (post-death):
died due to a Springlock Failure in October of 1977.
appears as a shadowy version of Bonnie, with glowing eyes, tears, and teeth (basically Shadow Bonnie).
seems aggressive to just about everyone, but will especially act aggressive towards Dave (and Jack, if he's doing an Evil Route).
hangs around Morgan a lot of the time, like it's watching over them.
speaks Very cryptically.
hangs over Morgan's shoulder when he talks to others.
will suddenly, randomly glitch and scream out in agony, as though she's feeling the pain of being springlocked all over again.
(got springlocked by Henry alongside Morgan. she managed to keep herself alive through sheer willpower for about two hours before she finally died. it took the form of Bonnie as a sort constant, taunting reminder to Henry of what he'd done to it and Morgan. she haunted him for years, up until Henry got dragged to the Void, at which point she left to go find Morgan.)
(nobody knows what became of Casey's corpse, as no one at The Factory had mentioned its body being shipped there, and no one knew who Casey was when Morgan begged for them to find it.)
might draw them later. They <3
