Everytime Cas puts his hand on Dean's shoulder where his handprint used to be, it's because he tries to reach for Dean's soul. Because this is where the barrier between the outside world Dean and the real one is finer since Cas marked him.

And for Dean, everytime Cas does that, it's the same feeling he gets when he feels a ray of sunshine find a way through the greyness covering the entire sky to shine only on his face.

I am sorry but having to watch two men be so obviously in love with each other for 10 seasons and still having to point out to people how obvious it is. When if it were a straight couple it would’ve just been taken for granted (all of the couples combined had less romantic scenes than destiel) is my villain origin story.

i think dean should have fought with cas' angel blade. i know we see him (and sam) use angel blades occasionally but i want a scene where it's explicitly shown to be cas'. cas has been injured and is out of the fight and without even thinking he hands off the blade to dean who kills whatever injured him, like just one fluid motion instinctively. i also think after cas died in s12 we should have seen dean take the blade off his body and then seen him use it later. i think this would have made me specifically insane and therefore we deserved to see it

#like i dont think he ever fights w/ cas' blade???#we know angel blades can remain manifested even after their deaths #in s4 there's some talk about only angels being able to use them but both sam AND dean have so.#i think dean alone should be able to use cas' blade because cas' grace touched his soul in hell so the blade responds to him too.#i think that would be hot #destiel

This probably isn’t new or groundbreaking but I’m rewatching season 8 of Supernatural and I’m sitting here thinking “what was so different about the real Dean that stopped Cas?”

Like obviously it’s supposed to be their friendship and deep connection (also they’re in love but that’s not the point right now)

My new headcanon is that Naomi forgot about Dean’s soul. Cas is connected to Dean on the deepest level and he sees Dean’s soul when they are together (it’s one reason why Cas loves Dean so much but that’s not the point either)

None of the Dean clones were completely Dean so when Cas killed them, it didn’t matter. But when faced with the real, true Dean Cas could see the part of Dean that he met first. The first part of Dean he fell in love with, and it broke through the brainwashing
