A beautiful piece of art (I'm unable to find the artist) depicting Shri Vasudev Krishna carrying Princess Rukmini Devi to his chariot in the kingdom of Vidharbh (her homeland). She had sent him a letter in secret, expressing her love and devotion for him, asking him to come and take her to his kingdom as his bride. Her eldest brother, Rukmi, had arranged her marriage elsewhere, against her wishes. But she wanted to marry Shri Krishna.

Ultimately, her wishes prevailed because he came to Vidharbh in his chariot and whisked her away in front of everyone, including her brothers.

GUYS OMG

so I took a nap and had a weird dream which I barely remember but as soon as I woke up a memory from years ago hit me suddenly.

This one time in like 7th grade, our class was supposed to conduct a morning assembly for janamashtami a day before the festival. And we were performing a raasleela with all the gopis right. So I was selected to be in the center as like Radha with another girl who was playing krishna. And I was so excited even though back then I hadn't realised just how much I loved kanha, but since childhood I had found myself very close to him. So my happiness was through the roof and we were supposed to meet at my friend's house to choreograph the dance but there was no one that could drop me and we barely had a weekend to prepare and on top of all that I got sick and had to back out.

It's safe to say I felt absolutely heartbroken and I remember crying at night that one gloomy Saturday, partly also because i felt left out from my friend group, and dancing had been my sole comfort back then. We had the assembly on Monday and I was so sad the morning I went to school and saw all the girls dressed up all pretty and almost cried and guess what IT STARTED RAINING!

Our assembly happened in the ground and back then there used to be only outdoor stage in our school. So they had to cancel the assembly and the dance didn't happen and I remember feeling so surprised that day because even tho it was monsoon, the weather has been sunny early in the morning and it rained out of the blue.

And suddenly I thought of it today and realised what if kanha did that to save me from that sadness because I wholeheartedly believe I would've cried that day in front of everyone.

Kanha was like, "nah my girl ain't crying, not on my watch"

MAYBE IM IN DELUSION BUT IT MAKES SENSE RIGHT???

This whole thing has me smiling like a fool.
