Been trying to be more Talky on here because twt sucks and I miss Blogging so I’m gonna talk thru some design WIPS

Working on the winx au- trying to establish Eraklyon vibes. Current criteria is a more cool-temperate climate, inspiration pulled from late medieval/renaissance shapes, as well as certain periods of Kimono and hanbok, scattered Mongolian - the most important thing here is the sense of everything being big and heavy and opulent.

Here is a pass on Queen Samara, trying to reference her canon colors

Going for big and squarish prints and quite showy colors. The crown is somewhat inspired by her canon one but I wanted to make it look more like swept back antlers. My problems with this is that although I’m theming Eraklyon around precious gems, the theme is less light and bright than say-Solaria. I want a vibe of deep colors and mountains and stone. The brightness of this definitely puts it in a fantastical slot, but I’m also worried it almost looks too much like Just a pseudo-ren faire esque costume.

This next pass I decided I wanted to take my colors from some architectural references-actually baroque marble floors with a busy mix of stone in white, black, green, orange, gold. I also more overtly mixed in elements from more of my Asian references. I feel like this could work on Eraklyon, but worn by someone from one of the more Asian inspired culture groups -or maybe Samara could wear it for an occasion, but it’s not what I’m looking for for her default look.

I reworked the original sketch with the architecturally inspired patterns. I think the darker colors vibe better with what I’m imagining for the setting on Eraklyon, but the patterns are a little outlandish and hint at this design not being for a standard fantasy world. I also made her hair a little bigger, like a fusion of the structured hairstyle from the 2nd and the chunky braid. I think it’s neat.

This is just my first pass on things, trying to pin down the vibe. What do you think?

a mountainous realm that is barren. eraklyon once was a realm filled of warriors, and woodsmiths, but was destroyed in the war. all of the direct royal family is dead.

Royal Family

Queen Annalise - the late Queen. Went to Red Fountain in the 60s. Died in the final attacks on Eraklyon.

King Reinhard- the late King Consort. Went to Red Fountain in the 60s. Died in the final attacks on Eraklyon.

Prince Elias- the late prince. Went to Red Fountain in the 80s. Died in the final attacks on Eraklyon.

Prince Andreas - the Crown prince. Went to Alfea in the late 90s. Died twice.

Prince Sky - Heir to the nonexistant throne. Goes to Alfea. So many daddy issues.

You’ve probably already addressed this, but why don’t Sky and Stella know each other before the switch? You would think growing up royal would mean they’ve at least seen each other right?

So— Sky is an only child in an absolute monarchy so he has always been heavily guarded and kept out of sight just for safety. Brandon was chosen because they look very similar, and Sky grew out and bleached his hair to disguise himself.

Stella saw someone who looked like the few pictures of Prince Sky that she’s seen (and the last time they would have met in person they would have been much younger) and said he was Prince Sky, so she believed him.

Winx, The Roxy Chronicles: Bitch crew yassified

Yomi was one of those sleep on it and wake up hating it designs

These are by no means their final designs, they just needed to be "finished" so I'd have a general idea that I can sculpt later. I do quite like Kyral's look though, might just keep it as is.

Yes Karunda is a real place on Eraklyon, tis from the comics. I figured since Kyral is a messy dramatic bitch, might as well have her be from the dramatic bitch of a planet aka Eraklyon. It's comic official that Eraklyon has multiple Kingdoms that all together make up the planet, with Erandor as the Main Character King. Also Eraklyon is spelt "Heraklyon" in the comics and idk how to feel about that.

Kelli is now Galatea's sister. So timeline wise, when Kelli is in her first year, Galatea is in her second (because I've made Season 4 take place during the summer between Seasons 3 and 5)

And Yomi is from a newly revived Domino, and is just a generic fire fairy from there. Lots of potential trauma from that whole ordeal, and her hatred of witches is fueled by the Ancestral Witches destroying her planet.

I like to do a moodboard of sorts for all of the realms/planets for my rewrite, and I can't decide whether I want a slavic/scandi/or germanic vibe to eraklyon.... I'm highly visual, and a huge history nerd, so I find real world/historical references as inspiration for my writing to be helpful. anyway, send me asks or something so i can have some kind of impetus to get some of my ideas written down.

Set at the end of season 3 episode 8.

“Stella! STELLA, COME BACK!”

But she didn’t listen to him, she probably couldn’t even hear him as she was dashing towards a raging dragon, which was ready to burn her father alive. And her too. Phantoblade out, Brandon was about to jump off the ship when he saw the dragon’s mouth open and breathe fire at the princess, but Musa and Aisha held him off and he had to watch as Stella used all her energies to save her father’s life, losing hers.

“NO! NO! LET ME GO! LET ME GO!” He screamed and managed to shake off the fairies’ hands, but then the brightest life he’d ever seen almost blinded him and everyone else who was standing in Eraklyon’s Palace’s court. For a couple of seconds, no one could see anything, and, when sight was restored, there was a fairy-like figure standing mid-air. Someone with long blonde hair, an orange matching set, and wings so big they could support her weight just by staying open and relying on the currents.

“Stella saved her father and she got her Enchantix power.” Bloom said, looking at her best friend.

“Her sacrifice is what brought it about. That’s exactly how it happened with me.” Aisha added, standing next to Bloom.

So that was the Enchantix form. The form a fairy assumed after she’d made the ultimate sacrifice. Stella had been willing to give her own life to save her father, a father who didn’t recognize her anymore, one who had ordered his guards to chase her and even kill her. But her father still.

Brandon watched as the princess hugged the king, merely seconds before she had to fly right into the Owl, crashing into his arms. Brandon held her as she cried, as she allowed herself to be fragile and scared, while she unconsciously returned to her human form, still crying in his arms. Riven and Timmy could fly the Owl without him. He needed to be there for his princess.

She had fallen asleep during the flight back home. Brandon had covered her with his suit jacket, gently caressing her long blonde hair.

“Brandon?”

“Rise and shine, gorgeous.” He smiled, leaning down to kiss her lips.

“Don’t I always shine?” Stella replied, with a smirk.

“Behave, princess. Or I won’t tell you how hot you looked in your new transformation.”

Stella sat up, smiling at him. “I definitely need to transform in front of a mirror. I wanna see all the details.”

“Let me say I had never seen wings like yours. They are the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen.”

“More beautiful than me?” Her eyes grew bigger and she sounded outraged.

“Stella! They ARE a part of YOU!”

Everyone on the Owl laughed, and for a moment they could forget about the pieces of their hearts they had been forced to leave on Eraklyon.

I'm talking about two versions of the Barbie pendant and Heart of Eraklyon from WINX - I post this news under the photo of my Anastasia cosplay, just because it looks good in the feed 😊

I’m going to ask you a couple of questions about the details (chain length, colors etc), but in general, I’m very pleased with the design.

Hello! I never did post it but I've been working on a script for that video for a while and something feels off, so maybe feedback is what I need

Here's the version I have right now. The scale needs to be adjusted so that planet can feel bigger, but most of the major locations are labeled. The vid will talk about them in a bit more detail but some have been explored in prior episodes, like Linphea.
