THE COULTERS

Presenting my headcannoned version of Eric's family!

This 'photo' was taken before Eric left Erudite making (following the movie timeline for this) Monica 18, Andrea 16 and Idril 51 by the time Tris joins dauntless.

Idril and Monica both choose to stay in there birth faction as opposed to Eric and Andrea. With Eric obviously transferring to dauntless while Andrea transferred to Amity.

Idril is an amazing mother though and supports her kids like crazy, regularly bragging about the eldest's status within dauntless, how well Monica is doing in her new job and how proud she is of Andrea for trusting herself and choosing Amity.

~

Monica however feels majorly betrayed by both of her siblings. Idril was often ill or over worked during the girls childhood and as a result Eric took charge and became a primary caretaker. Despite many arguments between the two Monica aspired to be like her older brother. He was cunning, intelligent, commanding and highly respected in their community. She saw no reason for him to leave.

so when he did? Without telling anyone? Without so much as a goodbye?

She felt wronged, one of the people she felt closest too had left her and suddenly everything had changed. she was unprepared and scared.

But she got over it, she toughened up, she didn't allow her emotions to over-ride her studies and when the time came she reminded in Erudite and whenever Eric was mentioned she'd huff something about "his wasted potential" but she was okay, everything was okay.

Then Andrea left In a similar fashion too that of her big brother and suddenly 8 years of recovery were thrown out the window. Monica no longer trusts her siblings and doubts herself as a result.

Semi-ironically Monica is a lot like Eric she has a short temper, she's commanding and she's not one to back down from a challenge.

Andrea was too young to fully grasp what had happened when Eric moved on. She was very fond of her brother and still is. unlike her sister she understands why he left and while she would have preffered a proper goodbye she holds no malice toward him. She even considered joining Eric and transferring to dauntless more then once before receiving her fraction results. While she knew she did not want to spend the rest of her life in Erudite it was still tough leaving once confirmed an Amity and after bearing witnessing to Monica's grudge against Eric for "abandoning" them she thought it best to leave with out telling in fear of her sisters rage.

Andrea is bright, sociable and active, she values relationships between fractions and does her best to respect the system set in place. She's an oddball however,while she values peace and stability she can often act brash and chaotic. Stumping those around her

Hello,

I was planning on writing a head cannon on what it would be like to be Jeanine Matthews assistant and at your choosing ceremony picking dauntless. However, I have a full plot line in my head that would be too long to be a head cannon. so would you that be something you all would be willing to read? (also I am thinking of giving the character a love interest at some point if I fully write the fic, so i would love to hear thoughts about that)

Being Eric’s Girlfriend

When Grayson saw you for the first time, he thought your height was the cutest thing compared to his;

You were just so tiny compared to him;

Once the two of you started a friendship, he kept making fun of your height (even on videos) all the time but you never take offense to it;

But you also would tease him for his own height, ‘How’s the weather up there?’ and other cliché ‘insults’ to tall people;

Then, you two started dating;

It didn’t really surprise anyone;

His family was already predicting it and the fans were praying for it to happen;

Dating Grayson can mean that you can kiss him all the time, when or where the both of you want, or at least it should, but…

Your height makes it impossible to do it, unless you make him lean down or you try to make yourself taller (maybe trying to be your tip toes or sitting down on taller chair);

Ethan sometimes would tell you to force Gray to lean down, aka, hit him hard so when he leans forward in pain, you can kiss him;

Hugging Grayson was actually the best thing, since he is taller than you, his body just covers yours and you can melt into his chest;

Gray really does look like an amazing hugger (just saying);

You two, when you go to Coachella, Grayson would carry you around on his back sometimes;

Piggy back rides are your guys’ thing;

Grayson doesn’t care and your legs would always thank him after many days on a festival;

There is no escaping aching on your muscles on festivals, and we all know that;

Also, like every other couple or pair of friends on festivals, Grayson made you the favor of letting you sit on his shoulder (which you thank him a lot since you literally wouldn’t see a thing otherwise);

Sleeping over at the twins’ house means to you: You can steal Grayson’s clothes;

Grayson’s clothes would also always be HUGE on you, but I don’t think anyone would complain about that;

Come on, a shirt that is extremely comfortable because it was oversized and it smells like your boyfriend;

Who wouldn’t like that?
