“Whats stopping us from meeting up outside of this?” Ethan asked quietly, making sure Mark didn't hear from the table where he sat working on the video. 

“I don't wanna go behind his back. I know he’s being stubborn right now, but I think he’ll get used to it eventually.” 

“I hope so.” Ethan replied, glancing nervously at Mark.

Four months later, you were stopping for a coffee when you saw a familiar face. You hadn't seen Ethan in person, though you had texted every day and facetimed a couple of times. 

“Ethan!” You called.

He turned around, grinning when he realized it was you. Ethan enveloped you in a tight hug, giggling into your hair. 

“Long time no see.” You said, still being held by Ethan.

“It’s been too long. Can you crash another one of Mark’s filming sessions please?” He asked, finally letting go of you.

“I wish. Maybe I’ll bug him about it today.” 

“I’ll bug him too. People really liked seeing you on the channel.” Ethan said.

“Really?”

“Yeah, did you not read the comments?” 

“No, I was kinda scared to. I didn't want to see people shitting on me in the comments.”

“They loved you! I didn't see a single hate comment, I promise. And haters aren't something to be worried about.”

“Thanks, E.” Y/n replied, giving a warm smile. 

“Hey, do you want to sit with me?” Ethan asked.

“I really wish I could, but I have to be at work soon.” Y/n wished that she could quit her job and stay with Ethan in that moment, but, alas, she had to go to work. 

Y/n hugged Ethan tightly before leaving the cafe, unable to get her mind off of him for the rest of the day. She wondered if he felt the same connection that she did, and pondered the fate of star-crossed lovers. Of course, that was a dramatic label for the two of them, as they were neither doomed nor lovers.

“Please, Mark? Everyone really liked her.” Ethan begged Mark while they were having a brainstorming session. The days of Unus Annus had begun and they were looking for new things to film. 

Mark looked at Amy for support, but found none.

“I have to take Ethan’s side on this one. We got a lot of positive feedback from the Markiplier Makes video she was in.” Amy gave Mark a sympathetic look, knowing he wouldn't like that answer.

Mark sighed in defeat.

“Fine.”

Amy kept the camera close to her body, discreetly filming the Ethan and Y/n’s reaction to seeing each other again. Ethan jumped up from his chair as soon as Y/n walked into the room, giving her a hug. This time the two didn’t wait for Mark to leave the room before they embraced. Mark did not look thrilled at their display of affection, but was reminded of Amy’s words. She assured him that he had no proof either Y/n or Ethan had romantic feelings for the other. 

The group walked toward the haunted asylum, the night breeze blowing gently and warmly against them. Windows adorned the building, and broken glass littered the pavement. Nothing about this house was comforting, and Y/n felt her heart rate increase with every step.

“You look so nervous.” Ethan laughed, speaking to Y/n. 

“It’s because I am. I hate this.” Y/n replied, unable to keep her eyes off the monument in front of them, noting that they had fallen a few paces behind Amy and Mark.

“Then why’d you agree to do it? You could've been in another video.” Ethan looked down at her.

“This was the only one Mark would let me be in.”

“What? Why?” Ethan furrowed his eyebrows.

“Probably because he didn't think I would agree to it. Or maybe he was testing how far I would go. Something like that, I guess. He knows how much I hate paranormal stuff.” Y/n answered.

“Alright! Here we are, at the Waverly Hills Sanatorium. What are your thoughts on this place?” Mark asked, the camera pointed toward the three adventurers. 

“It’s pretty spooky. Just how I like ‘em.” Ethan said confidently.

“I think I’m gonna die.” Y/n murmured, making Mark and Ethan laugh. 

The group made their way into the building, the doors creaking and shuddering as they closed behind the four. Y/n walked timidly, especially frightened when a loud bang resounded through the corridors.

“What the hell was that?” Y/n whispered loudly.

“I think it was just a door shutting. Maybe a bird.” Mark commented, then continued walking.

“That was not a fucking bird.” Y/n replied worriedly, looking over her shoulder and letting out a shaky breath.

“Hey, it’s okay. This place is old and dusty; it was probably just something falling apart.” Ethan murmured in Y/n’s ear, slipping his hand into hers. 

Y/n did not reply, simply nodding her head instead. Being able to feel Ethan there certainly helped, but didn't completely shake the feeling that someone was watching them. They were about to finish the investigation when the main camera suddenly began to malfunction. The batteries were still good, so Mark had to exit the building and help Amy find a way to fix the camera.

“You two go ahead and do your solo investigations yourself. I’ll be in in a minute.” Mark gestured for them to go back, so they did. 

Y/n was not having fun. She was severely spooked, but was doing okay until she saw a pair of glowing eyes glaring at her. Y/n booked it out of the room, frantically calling Ethan’s name until she found him. 

“What?! What’s wrong?” Ethan asked as he wrapped his arms around Y/n, who had already attached herself to him, hiding her face in his shoulder. 

“Fuck, E. I saw a pair of eyes in there. I swear to god I did!” Y/n panicked.

“Let me go look.” Ethan said, heading for the room Y/n came from. 

Y/n followed closely behind, holding herself close to Ethan’s arm. Ethan shined his flashlight around the room, seeing nothing. The corners were filled with cobwebs, there were dark stains all over the room and broken scraps of wood littered the floor, but he didn't see anything that could have been mistaken for eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by a breathy, almost whispered, laugh that didn't belong to him or Y/n. 

“Hell no. We’re getting out of here.” Ethan exclaimed, grabbing Y/n’s hand and running toward the exit. 

“What the hell happened?” Mark asked, still trying to fix the camera.

“Y/n saw a pair of eyes, and when we went back to investigate we heard a fucking laugh.” Ethan explained.

“And it wasn't either of you?” Mark inquired.

“Of course it wasn't.” Y/n replied.

“Well, I’m going in. I want to see what all the excitement is about.” Mark declared before marching into the asylum.

“Jesus Christ.” Y/n sighed as she sat with her back against the brick wall of the building. Ethan joined her and snaked an arm around her waist as she leaned against him silently. 

The line of trees was dark and mysterious, making Y/n feel even more unsafe. With every rustle of the branches, she felt like something was slowly inching closer to her, and she could only sit and wait for it to get her. Another loud slamming noise echoed from the building, making Y/n shriek. 

“I’ve got you. You’re safe.” Ethan held Y/n tighter and lightly stroker her hair with his free hand.

“Mark- he’s in there.” Y/n sputtered, looking up at him with wide eyes.

“Mark will be alright. He’s a big boy, and if he wasn't okay we would hear him yelling. Yeah?” Ethan comforted her, watching her eyelids flutter as she struggled to keep herself awake. 

“Yeah.” Y/n agreed, slowly losing consciousness and succumbing to sleep.

When you arrived at Ethan’s apartment you had thought you had mentioned to him that you were coming over and since you were frequently at his house you just walked in. 

You began looking around the rooms in the entry way for a sign of Ethan but when you didn’t see him in the lounge or the kitchen you decided to check the only other place he could be, his recording room. 

Wandering down the hallway, you trailed your hand against the wall you listened for vibrations through the wall.

Arriving at his recording room you pushed the door opened slowly hoping no noise was created. When he looked up you realized it did so you started apologizing “Sorry Ethan. I didn’t mean to disturb you”

While he was replying to you he kept an eye on chat since instead of recording he was streaming, “It’s okay,  I’ll finish up and be out”

When you nodded he turned his attention back and was met with the chat messages being filled with;

‘Did he just sign?’

‘Whoever is there he’s happy’

‘What did he say?’

Instead of answering questions he simply said,  “I’m so sorry guys I have to go a friend of mine just came by. I might stream tomorrow guys.  For now let’s raid (enter a streamers name)”

Clicking the host button he waited for it to transfer before logging off his computer and leaving his recording room. 

Walking out to the lounge he tapped you on the shoulder, “I didn’t know you were coming over Y/N, sorry” he signed.

You laughed softly before signing back, “it’s not your fault I forgot to tell you”

“Movie?”

“Video Games please”

He didn’t need to sign okay he just smiled before grabbing the gaming controllers so you both could play a video game together.

blurb night!

you had made the mistake of leaving one of the stuffed bears ethan had got for you at his place one night. you were rushing to get back to your apartment to beat the traffic, hence leaving mr. snuggles (yes he had a name) behind.

little to your knowledge, he had been sleeping with it every night ever since you left it. it was soft and it smelled like your shampoo mixed with a little bit of your perfume. it was like he was sleeping next to you whenever he held it, bringing him the most amount of comfort you could ever imagine.

you didn’t know that he had been sleeping with the bear until one morning you walked into his bedroom to find him still fast asleep in bed. spencer was at his feet, his head shooting up to look at you as he wagged his tail.

“hi spence,” you giggled, giving the dog a little scratch behind his ear, “daddy’s still sleeping, huh?”

you looked over at ethan’s sleeping state, noticing the brown stuffed bear tucked under his cheek. he had ended up sleeping on top of it, treating it like it was a pillow. you smiled softly, giggling to yourself as you walked over to the boy. you shook his shoulder softly, enough to stir him awake.

“babe, i have breakfast and coffee in the kitchen.”

he mumbled something incoherent before pulling you down on top him on the mattress. you sighed, acknowledging the fact that you weren’t going to be leaving this bed anytime soon.

“you stole mr. snuggles?” you giggled as you laid your head on top of his chest. he nuzzled his face into your hair.

“it’s not stealing if you left it here.”

“okay, but you sleep with it?”

“yeah,” he lazily admitted, “smells like you.”

you smiled softly as he dozed off back to sleep, debating to yourself on whether or not you were going to “accidentally” leave it at his house again this weekend.

A/N - I decided to base this on an au where Ethan is in his last year of high school & M/N is in his second year of high school.

M/N stood in the hallway of his high school, trying not to be seen. He had been relentlessly bullied for the past year for being trans. M/N hated it, always being called names.

M/N's older brother, Ethan was however always by his side. Though Ethan wasn't fully aware of everything, he didn't know his brother was bullied for being trans specifically.

Then one of M/N's classmates, a guy named Derek walked up to M/N along with Derek's minions. "Look! It's the faggot!" Derek laughed as he pushed M/N into the locker.

"Leave me alone, Derek," M/N muttered as he was pushed into the locker. He hated high school, all because of the bullying. Derek didn't stop, of course, he didn't. Derek just continued pushing M/N into the lockers, taunting him.

"C'mon, fag! Fight me! Fucking coward!" Derek laughed and M/N tried to push him off but it wasn't so easy. Then he saw a figure dash towards them, it was Ethan. He had gone to get something he'd forgotten in his classroom when he saw his younger brother being bullied by Derek & his group.

"Leave him alone, you piece of shit!" Ethan yelled as he pushed Derek to the ground. Derek stood up and glared at Ethan. "Why are you defending this homo freak!" Derek said in an angered tone. Ethan spaced out and just swung at Derek, hitting him in the face.

"That homo freak is my brother! So you keep his name out of your fucking mouth!" Ethan yelled as he kept punching Derek until he got enough of it, his fist being bloody and Derek's face being bloody. Derek ran off with his friends, yelling names.

Ethan looked at M/N and laughed. "Sorry, got a little carried away," Ethan said in an embarrassed tone and M/N just laughed along. "Thanks for protecting me, Ethan," M/N thanked his brother and Ethan just ruffled his hair.

"You're my brother, I couldn't let those punks treat you like that, I'm the only one allowed to tease you," Ethan said proudly as he heard teachers. "Oh fuck, gotta run! Catch you back home, bro!" Ethan said as he ran away, M/N just chuckled and nodded.

"Yeah, see you back home, brother."

HELLO! Hi! I’m Nyx (i also go by Percy sometimes), i am a genderfluid pansexual person who is OBSESSED with writing and reading. Started off on Wattpad and slowly migrated here (i dont really go on wattpad anymore :/). I am barely ever able to write fics so if you’re looking for me to write a fanfic do NOT expect it to be out fast (i am SO sorry).

Okay so the wonderful @turningtoclown tagged me in this and I figured it looks like fun so why the hell not lets give it a go!!

Favorite time of the year:

Okay my favorite time of year would have to be fall, I love that sometimes it can be a little chilly so you are able to bundle up, but I also like when it can be a little warmer and you are able to wear like jeans and a T-shirt! It's that weird time in fall where school is just starting but the colors of the trees are changing, it's my absolute favorite!

Comfort food:

Honestly the cutie/clementine things that you can buy like pounds of, I can eat like 10 in a sitting they are so good! that or a bagel and cream cheese, but that is one food that you can never go wrong with!

Do you collect anything?:

I collect two things! Pop Figures and the Starbucks Been There Series Mugs! The Funko Pops allow me to share all of my favorite Fandoms and the Mugs let me share every place I have traveled to so both are a great way I express myself, I think I am well over 100 pop figures at this point and probably nearing like 40-ish mugs! I also have like 6 ukulele's that I love to play!

Favorite drink:

It depends on the context! If we are going full on alcohol then the Smirnoff Green apple is my favorite so far! But if its a mocktail then a Pina Colada. Otherwise my go to coffee is a Chai Latte or if I don't want the caffeine I go for a frozen hot chocolate!

Oh boy, my top song so for this year based on apple music is Should’ve Been a Cowboy by Toby Keith it has such a good memory attached to it so whenever I am sad I'll listen to it! But an all time favorite that I always go back to for some reason is Matilda my Harry Styles
