Queens of Mewni headcanons
Have some headcanons of some queens of Mewni!
Festivia obviously favored Cresenta over Dirhhennia. Even hoping that her youngest daughter would be allowed to be her heir, which eventually happened.
Comet and Etheria did not get along growing up, at all.
Cresenta was the one who arranged Rhina’s marriage to John, not really caring that her daughter objected to it.
Celena taught Comet how to cook.
Rumors went around that Feativia had many extramarital affairs and that Cresenta was the result of one, and that she was an illegitimate heir.
Rumor also had it that Rhina was actually Dirhhennia’s and Chad’s daughter, and that Cresenta took and raised her as an heir after turning Dirhhennia into a wolf.
Celena was dubbed the most beautiful queen of Mewni by the people.
Jushtin gave Eclipsa her signature hat as a birthday present.
Estrella made the tapestries of the previous queens.
Comet and Lazlo divorced shortly after Felicity was born.
Celena did have some demon traits inherited from her father, most notably her fangs. But she kept those traits a secret.
Eclipsa often went to the Spiderbite kingdom to visit her aunt and uncle.
Estrella was dubbed the most loved queen of Mewni.

Have a good day. ➳ Anonymous — Hi there. Mind if I request some headcanons of Perfuma dating pyromancer!S/O?
Warnings & Other Tags ➳ Fluff for Adora and Perfuma; a little toxicity for Catra because our baby needs therapy; I’m currently rewatching this show and realizing that I remember nothing from it.
Notes ➳ Word Count is 560. ➳ Reader is gender neutral (they/them). ➳ Multiple requests were combined for this work.

adora
adora is literally feral sometimes
(all the time)
since she grew up in the horde, she has little to no social skills when you first meet her
so don’t even try making any sarcastic jokes or references to the rest of etheria because she will not understand lol
she eventually grows used to things outside of the horde and the two of you became fast friends
but then, one day, she watches you give a horde soldier a black eye
and there’s a little flutter in her stomach
she subtly brings it up to bow, who says she just had a case of butterflies, which was probably a mistake because she always takes things way too literally
so for a solid month, she’s convinced she has actual butterflies in her stomach that just won’t leave
eventually, though, they overwhelm her and she kisses you in the heat of battle
from then on, you’re a package deal
where you go, she goes
trails behind you like a lost puppy sometimes
soft adora fans rise!
Tumblr media
catra
catra is hard to understand most of the time
one second, she’s solely focused on you
and the next, she’s on a rampage
sorry to say but a relationship with her would not be easy to maintain. it would take a lot of work on both sides
she’d need to control her impulsive temper and you’d need to have a very empathetic heart
once things settle down and she becomes friends with adora again, all that stress is lifted from her shoulders
she becomes kinder, more considerate, and softness envelopes her heart
even though you’ve told her a million times that her past mistakes are not a reflection of her current self, she continues trying to make up for them
but of course, this is catra we’re talking about
she often gives you new weapons, always opposed to more traditional items
your personal favorite being a twin set of razor-sharp daggers, which made your eyes glimmer with excitement upon opening them
she was proud of herself for that one
what she offers the most, however, is loyalty
she has betrayed and has been betrayed so many times that she swears to never do so again
she hopes you’ll do the same. because if you stick by her through thick and thin, she’ll eventually open up
all she needs is time
Tumblr media
perfuma
super kind and very affectionate, even when you’re still “just friends” (side eye bc that doesn’t last long lol)
be prepared because you’ll constantly be smothered in affection by perfuma
if you have any elemental powers, like pyromancy, she’ll only love you more since that’s one more thing you both have in common
her love language is touch, no doubt, 100%
she’s constantly giving you warm hugs and squeezing your hand so tight that it goes numb
you can’t resist kissing her whenever she smiles at you with sparkling eyes and pink cheeks
always giving one another sweet compliments you greet each other
you can trust her no matter what. she’d never cause you pain and would be haunted by regret if she did
seriously, i don’t think she’d ever forgive herself
she’s just so loyal to the people she loves, especially you
you better like flowers because you’ll be getting fresh bouquets every day for the rest of your life
god i love her so much

Round 3, Match 1: Doomblade vs. Sword of Protection
Doomblade
Tumblr media
From: Kirby
Wielder: Morpho Knight
The Doomblade is designed after a butterfly, much like its wielder, Morpho Knight. It can create beams and tornados, be duplicated for dual wielding, and grow to enormous size over the course of the boss fight. Kirby can also make use of it in certain games.
Sword of Protection
Tumblr media
From: She-Ra and the Princesses of Power
Wielder: Adora
This sword is responsible for transforming Adora into She-Ra. It is made of both technology and magic, making it uniquely suited for allowing this transformation to occur. Its wielder is an honorary princess of Etheria. In addition to this, it grants a number of magical abilities, including energy blasts, healing, animal mutation, and hydrokinesis, and can even be transformed into other weapons.

Are there any bugs or bug-like creatures in the paracosm y’all particularly remember? Be that ones you liked to watch or ones that could be a bit annoying as y’all went about the day?
"PIXIES-" *drags alisha away from keyboard (again)*
other bugs in that same forest are really pretty but also. carnivorous and/or like. acidic. so keep your distance probably because they Will take a chunk out of you. honestly i stay out of that forest it's pretty but not worth it.
we do have a lot of earth-adjacent bugs (since earth and etheria come from the same root world. which is another thing we could go more into perhaps!) but some are more adapted to (nature) magic because of. well. evolution. there are even mosquito-like-things that drink magic/energy instead of blood which are. annoying. i will say we have cooler moths & butterflies though
asteria's bugs are more different since it's a lot less earth-like in general. everything is Bigger there to the point where some of the bugs are like. tameable. not pets per say but like. smart lil guys. there's one species used for like mail that i can't remember the name of i'll have to ask aerwyn. there's another insect that i also can't remember the name of where its wings & scales are used for Fancy Clothes (think of how we use silk which is made from worms).
OH speaking of worms back on esteria there is a bug that is Not on earth that's. kind of like a worm? ish? like yknow how caterpillars turn into butterflies. this thing is a worm that turns into a caterpillar like thing. in its teenage stage (between worm/caterpillar when it's just starting to like. grow legs) it is considered a Delicacy (i don't like it but alisha says i've just never had it prepared right. but she also can't cook for shit). same bug in its Final Form has really tough scales that are sometimes used for Shinies but not too often.
ok gtg to work bye!!

wait a second 750th post i need to do a big lore drop-
Ok so this is gonna be an EXTREMELY LONG post so I'll put it under a "keep reading" but it regards Pixel, Byte, and Terri and why I group them all together so much
So, big lore reveal time: All three of them used to be the same person, someone named Veritas.
Veritas was someone that explored the Alchas region (aka played Monsters of Etheria) all the time. Just like the other creatures in Alchas, they had the ability to shapeshift and come back after death, like they were respawning.
The forms they took on the most were an unstable butterfly/bee, named Pixbee, a ghost wielding a large, living scythe, named Scarims, a small feline moth, named Florafluff, a very humanoid kitsune-like creature, specifically the kind that has harnessed the power of the moon and ultraviolet light, Aizune Violet (however both forms of Aizune are connected), and a small, artistic mix of a bunny and a dog named Sketchop.
Terri was the first to split off, as Veritas found out how to make a clone of themselves (which was just me making an alt account) and gave them the name Lexip, as many people called Veritas by a separate name, Pixel. We'll come back to Lexip in a bit.
So, after years of existing in Alchas, they made many discoveries about how unstable reality was there. Pixbee, Scarims, and Sketchop (technically) had the ability to instantly teleport to a certain spot around them, as long as it wasn't too far. This power was able to force Veritas outside of where you were intended to go, for example the space above a cave, or finding out their laboratory was floating in a void. Eventually, they got too curious.
They ended up near a black hole in a separate reality named the Torn Dimension, which was a very popular place since there was a large, mysterious orb that helped you grow, and plenty of people who were easy kills for those who were already their max strength. The black holes that appear here are very weak, but still have a gravitational pull, and touching one would be instant death. Veritas once got too close to one while in their Pixbee form, and tried to teleport away, however the moment they teleported away was the exact moment they touched the black hole, which had never happened before. This is when Veritas split into Pixel and Byte.
When this event happened, half of Veritas' spirit fell into the black hole, and the other half escaped, although now they are extremely unstable. For now, we will focus on the half that fell in, aka Pixel.
When they came back from their death, they didn't see the Alchas they were used to. They were alone in a large void of nothingness, floating aimlessly while their atoms were trying to tear themselves apart. They were terrified, however they had a way of movement; they could propel themselves forward rapidly, but only forwards. They did so, as staying still would do nothing, and started floating through the vast emptiness. And floating. And floating. And floating...
Eventually, something shifted, and now they could suddenly see a building, extremely close to them. They teleported in successfully, just to see strange creatures all around them. They looked like the Explorers back at Alchas, but none of them looked right. All of their colors were messed up, most barely had a typical form at all. But none of them were from Alchas, and all of them were staring at the terrified butterfly in the middle of the crowd that had formed.
Quickly, someone that looked like what they could only assume was a professional rushed over to them, sensing the butterfly's fear. They were taken to a room further in the building, which seemed much larger than before, and asked many questions regarding their identity.
Veritas was forgotten; the only name they could remember is Pixel. Their partner was forgotten; they were alone with no memories of the people they held dear to themselves. Lexip was forgotten, the past was forgotten, Alchas was forgotten, forgetting was forgotten, they were forgotten.
After a few very long hours, the professional helped Pixel get their shapeshifting, and they took a vaguely human form, with a screen for a face and a large "cloak" covering the lack of arms they have. The butterfly was forgotten. The scythe was forgotten, but not gone. Eventually, they were escorted out of the building, with a way of contacting that professional built into their new form.
Once Pixel left the building, they encountered an unfamiliar universe, with a few people walking around with laser pointers. They were aiming at the stars, making dotted lines between all of the glowing dots in the sky. One of them approached Pixel and greeted them, but Pixel was silent, and their screen was not seen, but in place of their form was a new body, that appeared as a cartoonish plague doctor. The stranger understood, and they continued talking, before they had to go. And Pixel left as well, through the same door that they entered, but the building was gone, and in its place was another new universe.
Over time, they would explore new universes, slowly learning what they were like. They remembered how to speak. But then they met someone strange, who called themselves Lulladora Burgers, who was extremely energetic and then suddenly they were friends, and met up constantly on their travels.
Years pass, and eventually Pixel discovers that they have a lot more power than they thought. They ended up finding someone from that original crowd and buying a small pocket universe from them, and making a little building in it. Once it was somewhat liveable, they invited their friends, and thus began their current journey. However, their past may be forgotten, but just like that scythe, it is not gone, and their instability isn't the only fragment left from back then.
Now, we travel back to the original event, but shift our perspective to Byte, the half that made it out.
Split. Splitting. Atoms splitting apart. Mind splitting apart. Soul splitting apart. Agony. Pain.
That was all they could think of. Their thoughts, gone, replaced by panic. They immediately left the dimension, to a spot few come to. To the shrine atop the mountain, overlooking the village of the dragon.
They lost their form, and had to give themselves the form they've been for a while recently, Aizune. It was the middle of the night, so they could become the form they prefer, Violet. But it wasn't enough. Everything still hurts, as if reality itself wanted them gone.
They climbed atop the large tree behind the statue that overlooked them and they cried. They cried for they could not move. They cried for they could not feel anything but pain. They cried for they knew no one would know, as those dearest to them have abandoned Alchas long ago.
They would stay there for years to come. The days passed by quickly at least. No one tried to comfort them, as no one knew their pain. They could not cry out. Eventually, everything went dark, and the land was no more.
They awoke in the darkness, now given shape. The pain has lessened, but they, still, had no voice to scream. All they could do is explore the darkness. They explored alone, but learned everything about the darkness. It wasn't the same darkness, it was a new one, given the form of a vast forest.
They eventually took a new form, one to fit in the forest better, with large moth wings, two bright white eyes, and a body covered in that same void color. They wore a dress to forget their body. They lost their mouth, as they needed to eat no longer. They grew content all alone.
Eventually, something showed up. It wasn't living, but it didn't belong. They decided to investigate, and found a building that seemed familiar, even though they have never seen it before. In there, they met some strange people, including a certain Lulladora Burgers who seemed awfully familiar, yet very much a stranger, almost as if they met her in a different life.
Now, what about Lexip? With Veritas now split, Lexip too became unstable, but they did not notice at first. All they knew is that they had the energy to perform.
With Veritas gone, they gained their own personality; a bit of a troublemaker, but all just to entertain. They acted as if they had an audience watching them at all times, laughing at their jokes and actions. But eventually, they did see an audience. A pair of eyes, staring from beyond their universe. But Lexip didn't question, it just meant someone was watching.
Months of performing later, they bumped into something mid-performance. The eyes jumped back, but when Lexip tried to see what they bumped into, nothing was there. But why did the eyes flinch back? Lexip could only think of one thing: They hit the eyes they've grown so attached to. No, they hit the barrier separating them.
Another month passes. All Lexip can think about were those eyes. They were their purpose, their existence, their everything. And they can't wait for when they bump into that barrier again, because when they do, it will be shattered. And eventually, they feel the barrier. And when they do, they shatter it, and get pulled out of Alchas.
Suddenly, they wake up on a cold, white floor. Immediately, something isn't right. They aren't who they were before, although they forgot who that was. They immediately get up, balancing on their two new legs, and look around. There they are, those eyes, now a whole person. Lexip immediately runs over to the person, needing to hold onto them to stay balanced, and start speaking excitingly, staring into their eyes.
Lexip is suddenly pulled out of the room by armed guards, but promises the person that they'll keep seeing each other. Lexip may have forgotten their name, and what they were like before, but they'd never forget those eyes; their audience.
A few weeks pass, and they find out more about where they live now. They're told it's a testing facility for things that don't make sense, like themselves. Their new name is now Terri, since they can't remember a bunch of numbers. Those eyes were one of the test subjects, that's now given the dedicated role to be with Terri, and they're both happy. This doesn't last very long though.
A month from when Terri got there, they managed to steal some flowers from one of the offices, and were gonna give them to the person, but they were nowhere to be seen. They asked the scientist (who was assigned to watch over Terri) where they went, and the scientist says they were killed along with the other people with orange clothing, and that it was standard procedure. Terri turned absolutely furious.
Terri went around the entire building, killing everyone she saw, until eventually she saw someone who felt oddly similar to her. They had large, crow-like wings, but had cat ears. But that wouldn't stop her. What would stop her, however, is that person snapping her spine immediately.
She woke up a few days later, just fine and now calmed down. She was brought into a new building, and immediately met someone new, which she thought had beautiful eyes. But she also knew that person would likely be killed, so she tried everything to keep that person safe, eventually keeping them in her room. But that couldn't stop the inevitable, and the person died, driving Terri to kill everyone once more, and then getting stopped by that strange person again.
This cycle repeated a few times, before Terri was offered a new place to stay with people that were just like her. She accepted it, thinking that those people wouldn't be killed, and so that person, who's name was something ridiculous to her, like "Pix" or something, took her to a place where she immediately got attached to, guess who, Lulladora Burgers. And, for now, that's all that has happened there.
damn this is a WAY longer post than I thought, but I hope whoever actually read this liked it, since I've been cooking this up for WEEKS

Figured I may as well start posting my SVTFOE edits on here.
Here’s my OC Selena Butterfly! She was born without cheekmarks but miraculously is still able to use magic. Despite this, her mother, Etheria Butterfly, alienated her and refused to acknowledge her as her daughter. So Selena ends up finding solace in monsters- especially one in particular; Toffee.

Okay, so this might be a stupid question, but I recently rewatched “Game of Flags” (one of my favorite episodes) and the more I think about it, the more I wonder....where do all the Butterfly relatives come from/how exactly are they related to Star and Moon? I mean, Moon calls Etheria “aunt” and Star calls one of them “Uncle Heartrude” (plus there’s apparently Star’s aunt Felicity, but I don’t remember/know if she’s a Butterfly or a Johansen), and there’s apparently enough Butterfly relatives to apparently just about equal the Johansens in the titular game.
But then I read the official release of the Magic Book of Spells, and the only Queens who had siblings listed or even implied to exist were Solaria, who had her brother Jushtin, and Crescenta, who had her sister Dirhennia. Both of whom seem to have had relationships, but there’s no mention of whether or not they had children, and even if they did, it still felt (and still feels) a bit of a stretch to me that apparently all of the Butterflys at the reunion are super, super, super distantly related to Star and Moon.
Long story short, I have to wonder if maybe this was another retcon, albeit a somewhat minor one, and originally the plan was for more of the Queens to have siblings but then it was decided it’d be simpler to have most of them be only children and only give siblings to the ones where it’d actually be considering significant in some way; like how Jushtin and Solaria shows that the Mewnian monarchy is apparently so much of a matriarchy that girls are chose over boys to rule no matter what, or how Crescenta is known for being the only princess to ever be given the wand and throne over her older sister.

He-Man and Insect People
Tumblr media
Here are all of the intelligent insectoids in Masters of the Universe, I think. Let me know if I missed any!
The best-known insect person is Buzz Off, who belongs to a species called Andreenids or simply “bee people”.
Tumblr media
Queen Andreeno, 2002 cartoon:
Tumblr media
Filmation bee people (”The Good Shall Survive”):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This  episode also featured a  rival insectoid people called Tycons.
Tumblr media
Beefore Buzz Off’s first appearance, the Filmation cartoon had already created its own, generically named Insect People (first appearance “Eye of the Beholder”).
Tumblr media
L: Shaman, R: Garth. Garth later metamorphoses into a conventionally handsome superhero type with butterfly wings:
Tumblr media
“Orko’s Return” introduced a fourth insectoid race on Eternia, the Polti.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, in the comic whose cover I posted above, which was packed with Buzz Off and some other 1984 action figures, the Insect People of the title are none of the above, but another called the Kex.
Tumblr media
We still have one more species to count on Eternia. Webstor the spider person, sometimes called an Arachna, counts because of the 2003 cartoon episode, “Web of Evil”, where Buzz Off says that they’re related.
Tumblr media
Now let’s move beyond Eternia to wrap up
The She-Ra toy line and ‘80s cartoon had its own bee people, their main representative being Sweet Bee.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Unlike most Princess of Power characters, the cartoon established these Bee People as NOT being from Etheria, but having a colony ship in outer space. They share their name with Buzz Off’s people and it’s not impossible that their ship came from Eternia, but they all have human hands and feet, lighter skin, and their wings might be different (though it’s hard to tell).
And finally, at one point Hordak gained a humanoid mosquito henchman, named Mosquitor.
Tumblr media
He could be from anywhere in the Horde’s galactic empire.

@strangefellows made a direct attack against me so alas, take my wips. XIV has taken over my life and I’ve created a sprawling verse of the butterfly effects and accidental Ascian untempering and recruiting so that’s what most of these are lol, though none of them are published yet.
You once again get an essay length response because it’s me.
Rules: Share the first lines of ten of your most recent fanfics and tag ten people. If you have written fewer than ten, don't be shy and share anyway.
It was time. There was an underlying buzz of energy amongst the Shadows within the Palace, and Arsène and Izanagi leaned against one of the upper walls on the outside of the fortress, looking out over the forest around them as the other ultimates of their arcana ensured everything was organized.
-First paragraph of chapter 4 of Shadows Within. It’s finally infiltration time! Which means that Arsene and Izanagi are Plotting.
2. Etheria didn’t know what compelled her. She should have known better.
Hadn’t the shard of Themis - of Elidibus - in the tower told her?
“The reality you wish to save - the reality to which you must return - exists as a result of the Final Days. You cannot reshape the past to undo the tragedies of the present. Cannot unmake the sorrow and suffering fated to come.”
She’d thought he’d meant that the events were unchangeable. That the past was set in stone, and she wouldn’t be able to affect it. But wasn’t G’raha the direct contradiction to that idea?
First section of Two Steps Back, one of my time travel fics in which my main WoL messes up in Elpis and creates a split timeline bc she panics and destroys Kairos. The Convocation quickly gets involved and oh look, now she has two timelines’ Final Days to avert. Azem is delighted at her involvement though, so there’s that.
3. As she slammed face-first into the ground, Etheria took several moments to comprehend what had just happened.
Cierread, a Sharlayan scholar studying the mechanics of time, had recruited her to help him investigate a dungeon that supposedly had tomes created by a former scholar who had been studying the subject as well. It had been a relatively routine run, they’d collected the tomes without undue issue, only to find them locked by magicks.
She’d ended up calling the other Scions for aid after the rest of the Sharlayan library had failed them - well, she’d mostly called on G‘raha and Y’shtola, as well as Themis and Heph, but the others had ended up there either by circumstance or curiosity - but when they had managed to force the first of the tomes open-
First section of Antics of Chronology, my second time travel fic that’s… well it’s supposed to be a much more humorous take on time travel shenanigans but it’s rapidly turning serious as per usual, so we’ll see. Basically I take the post-EW Scions and yeet them back to ARR, and they have to deal with the consequences and figure out what to do now. Etheria looks up from landing and sees Ifrit and goes “oh no”. (And just as a fun tidbit, Cierread is my versions Source shard of Nabriales and he did come back with the rest of them, so that’s going to be a fun interaction when he shows up with Moenbryda XD)
4. She awoke slowly, dry heat shifting uncomfortably around her in what should have been a cooling breeze, but wasn’t. It-
What was going on? She’d been… been…
… at her computer?
Yeah, she’d been at her computer, on vc with her FC, waiting for the new update for the 6.1 patch to finish downloading, and then they’d all hit play together and… and…
White.
Hear… feel… think…
The adventure continues.
What…?
First section of Fantasy’s Dawn. Aka Log Horizon, but it’s FFXIV and everyone wakes up in their avatar at the beginning of 1.0 (for legacy players) or ARR (for non-legacies) with each WoL having their own self-contained MSQ that adjusts to their own actions - except our main six heroes who somehow share an MSQ instance. Everyone is left scrambling trying to figure out how the metaphysics even works, and how much control they actually have over the world and story. (A lot, it turns out, to the horror and amusement of many.)
5. It wasn’t that Etheria didn’t trust Urianger’s judgement, or his expertise in aetherology, but she still maintained that they should have done fire directly after water, before moving on to earth and then wind, and then lighting. He’d gone into a lecture about aetheric flow and why activating directly opposing elements together could potentially do more harm than good, either canceling each other out or clashing and causing rebounds.
And she understood that - she did - but that was mere speculation and it now left them with their conundrum of lightning priming the area for life, but nothing actually growing.
Windburn, part of my exploration of how Eden goes in my main verse, this is the lead-in to the Ifrit-Garuda fight and my WoL’s terror at fighting not one, but both of them because she has very very bad memories of them both.
6. It had been quiet since the appearance of Mitron, none of them quite sure how to handle the situation. Hephaistos especially had been quiet - that stiff stoicism and clipped logic that spoke to a guilt he refused to admit to, something that she and Thancred had talked about following the events in Eden earlier.
They were all returned to Ahm Areng, for the moment, with Mitron still unconscious from her battle with him. It had been… different from her other fights with the Ascians. There was no precise calculation, no higher goal, no intent for the world at large.
He’d been frantic, focused solely upon Gaia, and his thought process had been disjointed and difficult to follow.
Paradise Forfeit, skipping to the halfway/end point of the Eden raids, which went slightly different from canon thanks to Lahabrea being untempered and Etheria more aware of the situation in general, so Gaia gets shielded and doesn’t lose her memories. Mitron his ass kicked a bit sooner too, and dragged out of Eden to be stabilized. It’s an exploration of Artemis letting Gaia go and finding his own stability, in the lead up to 5.3 (bc I place my Eden raids together in the span between 5.0 and 5.3 for streamlining reasons in this verse).
7. They knew. They all knew - had known from the moment they’d heard him speak at the gate.
But none of them could even begin to guess the details. How G’raha was here, how the Crystal Tower was here - it made no sense. The Crystal Tower was still standing tall and cold next to Silvertear Lake back home - closed, sealed, with G’raha most certainly still inside.
The theory they felt held the most weight, currently, was one Aella and Yiskah had formulated based on the Exarch’s words - that he was from a time removed from their own. Likely some years in the future, and he had been summoned to this world along with the tower and awoken upon arrival - thus making his earlier claim that he’d summoned the tower from a random point in time technically not an absolute lie - not that they would let him get away with that once they eventually confronted him about this.
Orchestrations, my SHB case study of Etheria’s relationship with the Exarch and Urianger and their plots. G’raha can’t get away with shit with my WoLs, sorry G’raha. Aella and Yiskah are archons who helped him with his own thesis and he with theirs, and S’ohlis has been pining since the CT raids. Etheria can sense aether, and Vale and Rosalia are a mercenary and pirate, they can recognize voices and tell when someone’s lying.
8. Etheria wasn’t entirely sure what to expect as she led the way up the stairs of the Crystal Tower, into the Ocular where the other three stopped. Themis in particular appeared wary of entering the Umbilicus - not that she could blame him. The version of him that was the piece of his soul she and the Exarch had sealed within the Tower was… Elidibus. While he had still retained some of his memories and mentality of his time as an Ascian, the majority of it had remained with the piece of his soul they’d pulled away; while the memories of his life before the summoning of Zodiark that he had reclaimed from his brief fall into the lifestream before Hades and Etheria had pulled him back as the him of here and now.
None of them were sure how the piece of Elidibus in the tower would react, or how their souls would react together.
Unto Elpis, as the name says it’s the lead-in to the jump back to Elpis in EW for Etheria in my main verse. Not much to say, other than poor Themis is in for a rough bit of adjusting to getting all the rest of his memories of the post-sundering back at once.
9. Azem had to admit, they weren’t… entirely sure how they were going to approach Lahabrea. Not that they were at all adverse, but they wouldn’t have gathered the boldness, the audacity, without Hyth’s prodding. The man was stern and focused on his work above all else, and certainly not the type to fool around. Especially with Azem, who was undoubtedly the greatest headache for him more often than not.
Styx knew that he didn’t hate them, or even truly dislike them, for all that he was often the first to criticize their methods and actions. But that didn’t change the fact that they were in opposition more often than not and that he would likely respond scathingly to a “distraction from their duties”.
Then again, perhaps it was simply a matter of constraints to work around.
The Lahabrea chapter of I Próklisi, a fic with the premise of Hyth going “Hey Azem, bet you can’t seduce the whole convocation” and Azem going “CHALLENGE ACCEPTED”. It’s a silly ridiculous premise that’s supposed to be generally lighthearted, but is… okay honestly it’s mostly a character study in Convocation dynamics, general lore, and character headcanons wrapped up in a thin veneer of smut. For example, I got less than a quarter into this chapter and was trying to plan ahead and just stopped to stare at Lahabrea and go “oh you have so much trauma from Athena don’t you” so. I can’t even say these are “plot what plot” because while there’s no real overarching plot, each chapter is definitely going to have a character based subplot.
10. Would that the rest of the Convocation was as easy to approach as Mitron and Loghrif, Azem thought ruefully to themself as they considered who to approach next.
There was always Nabriales, of course. They and Aion had casually tumbled into bed - well they usually didn’t make it into a bed; offices or debate rooms or far flung corners of the star were far more common - together several times. If they asked if he was up for it, chances were low he’d be uninterested.
That was kind of defeating the point of the challenge, though - it wasn’t supposed to be easy.
(The fact that Hyth had strongly implied that he’d managed it made them very curious about the stories there.)
The Fandaniel chapter of I Próklisi, though Azem doesn’t decide on him in the opening paragraphs. So far it’s just Azem worrying if he’s adjusting to Amaurot and the Convocation seat okay, inviting themself over for dinner, and then going to check with his lover (Asclepius, the ancient of my other WoL Yiskah) to make sure their overtures wouldn’t be overstepping bounds. I’m 2k words in and haven’t even gotten to the dinner, it’s just talking about boundaries and comfort levels so far. If that gives you any indication of what this fic is. XD
Uhhh who to tag.... @mirintala, @up-sideand-down, @boomchickfanfiction, and recent writing you feel like sharing?

The whole thing with the extended Butterfly family in Star's time is so confusing with what we learn from Season 3 and the Book. Because like you said, there's no mention of Etheria despite her supposedly being Moon's aunt, and then there's characters like Heartrude and Felicity who are presumably Star's uncle and aunt on Moon's side, but it's pretty clear Moon doesn't have younger siblings in "Moon the Undaunted" and even if they're her cousins, it's still confusing. Really, there's just a lot of Butterfly relatives that, based on the family tree we can piece out via the Book, probably shouldn't exist.
Yep!
I'd say that the extended Butterfly family were originally just supposed to be very minor characters in the show's story. They'd only be a name mentioned once or twice or only appear in Game of Flags. Then Season 3 changed the setting to Mewni, which required the writers to fill out the blanks hinted at in the earlier seasons
Which they did, not by fleshing out elements that were introduced earlier in the show and work from there, but by just forgetting everything they've already established and making up entirely new plot lines and twists that both come out of nowhere and don't really work without straight-up rewriting characters to one-dimensional versions of themselves.
This is why I think both Mewni as an actual setting and the show going from episodic comedy to a more serialized and dramatic story was something that was thought up rather late in production. There's such a major shift between the first and second halves of the show that it feels like the writers were trying to retcon everything from the first two seasons that contradicts the new "amazing serious story with epic plot-twists and romance drama" that they decided to start telling.
Which, if you have to ignore practically everything from your story's first half to write the second, then maybe that's a sign that you're doing something wrong

why clean from 1989 is she-ra coded (more specifically about catra)
you may think that clean is about s4 adora accepting that catra has done terrible things without remorse and that it’s really over for the two of them. but you could also say it’s about catra choosing to change her behaviour + her struggle with herself.
- hung my head as i lost the war = double trouble calling out catra's behaviour and betraying catra. she's well and truly lost.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"everything you've worked for will be destroyed."
- the sky turned black like a perfect storm = when horde prime takes over etheria
Tumblr media
- by morning = nature returns with the power of the sword
Tumblr media
- gone was any trace of you, i think i am finally clean = her desperate destructive side of herself is gone, because there's no war to fight anymore. the horde is gone and she knows better than to keep hurting people. her ruthless ambition and the resulting choices she made were out of a need to be accepted, but she's found people that care about her now. (doesn’t mean she’s redeemed of everything she did, but she’s choosing to change so that’s good.)
- when the butterflies turned to dust that covered my whole room = her childhood happiness with adora being left behind, untouched and forgotten. left to gather dust.
- i punched a hole in the roof = catra destroying the room, and ruining her relationships. she's destroying everything around her.
Tumblr media
"are they laughing at me?"
Tumblr media
- i screamed so loud but no one heard a thing = her breakdown where she’s all alone.
Tumblr media
- just because you’re clean don’t mean you don’t miss it = she misses how easy it is to lash out at people and to be destructive and angry, but she’s going to work on it.
- now that i’m clean i’m never gonna risk it = she has adora (and lots of other people) by her side to support her and she’s doing better than she ever did.

so, i might’ve started watching star vs the forces of evil today and accidentally created a starco child because i could
her name is Etheria Heliosa Butterfly-Diaz, she gets called Thea for short. her full title is Etheria the Shield-Maiden. Thea looks more like her dad than her mum, with marco’s hair colour (purple at the tips) and eye colour but star’s face shape, nose shape and stature. she’s a pretty quiet gal, definitely daddy’s girl, with her mum’s impulsiveness hidden underneath carefully maintained marco level cautiousness.
maybe i’ll upload a drawing of her later, maybe not

I have questions!!! 😜
Is Moe Lyric or Soupina?
Are Heartrude and the other purple boy from Jushtin’s side?
Is Etheria from Dirhhennia’s side?
I would like to think so...
