adora is literally feral sometimes

(all the time)

since she grew up in the horde, she has little to no social skills when you first meet her

so don’t even try making any sarcastic jokes or references to the rest of etheria because she will not understand lol

she eventually grows used to things outside of the horde and the two of you became fast friends

but then, one day, she watches you give a horde soldier a black eye

and there’s a little flutter in her stomach

she subtly brings it up to bow, who says she just had a case of butterflies, which was probably a mistake because she always takes things way too literally

so for a solid month, she’s convinced she has actual butterflies in her stomach that just won’t leave

eventually, though, they overwhelm her and she kisses you in the heat of battle

from then on, you’re a package deal

where you go, she goes

trails behind you like a lost puppy sometimes

soft adora fans rise!

catra

catra is hard to understand most of the time

one second, she’s solely focused on you

and the next, she’s on a rampage

sorry to say but a relationship with her would not be easy to maintain. it would take a lot of work on both sides

she’d need to control her impulsive temper and you’d need to have a very empathetic heart

once things settle down and she becomes friends with adora again, all that stress is lifted from her shoulders

she becomes kinder, more considerate, and softness envelopes her heart

even though you’ve told her a million times that her past mistakes are not a reflection of her current self, she continues trying to make up for them

but of course, this is catra we’re talking about

she often gives you new weapons, always opposed to more traditional items

your personal favorite being a twin set of razor-sharp daggers, which made your eyes glimmer with excitement upon opening them

she was proud of herself for that one

what she offers the most, however, is loyalty

she has betrayed and has been betrayed so many times that she swears to never do so again

she hopes you’ll do the same. because if you stick by her through thick and thin, she’ll eventually open up

all she needs is time

perfuma

super kind and very affectionate, even when you’re still “just friends” (side eye bc that doesn’t last long lol)

be prepared because you’ll constantly be smothered in affection by perfuma

if you have any elemental powers, like pyromancy, she’ll only love you more since that’s one more thing you both have in common

her love language is touch, no doubt, 100%

she’s constantly giving you warm hugs and squeezing your hand so tight that it goes numb

you can’t resist kissing her whenever she smiles at you with sparkling eyes and pink cheeks

always giving one another sweet compliments you greet each other

you can trust her no matter what. she’d never cause you pain and would be haunted by regret if she did

seriously, i don’t think she’d ever forgive herself

she’s just so loyal to the people she loves, especially you

you better like flowers because you’ll be getting fresh bouquets every day for the rest of your life

When Finn was born Glimmer and Scorpia had an "aunt war" to determine who would become Finn's favorite aunt. Glimmer even asked Castaspella to train her. Needless to say, they were both devastated when Finn bonded with Double Trouble of all people. After being depressed for a while, they went on a "get your groove back" adventure together.

SPOP cast's favorite video games

As a follow-up to my prior "SPOP cast's favorite drinks" post, here's what I think their favorite video games are: Adora: Doom. Big strong hero saves the world. Totally her speed.

Catra: Age of Empires 2, it's a good outlet for her strategic mind.

Glimmer: Stardew Valley when she wants something calm. Halo when she misses fighting.

Bow: Legend of Zelda (bows and gadgets galore!)

Perfuma: Gardening Simulator ('nuff said)

Mermista: Subnautica. She thinks the sea monsters are cute.

Sea Hawk: He found Catra playing Age of Empires 2 and discovered Fire Ships and Demolition ships and was sold. She beats him every time.

Scorpia: Taiko no Tatsujin (it's one of the only ones she can play with her claws)

Double Trouble: Hitman (they love the disguises)

Entrapta: Factorio (or Shenzen I/O)

Hordak: Minecraft (he finds it relaxing and also runs the server for everyone. Entrapta has a bed next to his because ofc she does)

Madame Razz: "I can't see this contraption! Mara!" Shadow Weaver: Pong. If it was good enough for her as a kid it's good enough now.

Frosta: Fortnite or Roblox or whatever the kids play these days.

Micah: Halo 1/2/3. He was sent to Beast Island in the mid-2000s so he's making up for lost time!

Glimmer and Catra LOVE Shark Week. Make special cocktails and snacks for it, host watch parties, cheer every seal that meets a bloody end.

Adora is also into it but needs to make sure everyone assembled knows "she could take that one" whenever a new shark comes on screen.

Frosta loudly disagrees each time that Adora could take that shark, but SHE totally could.

Mermista comes over to watch it too, but is pretty jaded about it because she knows half those guys and they're a bunch of sellouts, really let the whole Shark Week stardom go to their heads.

Entrapta takes notes the whole time and then goes through a week long phase where every robot she builds has way too many teeth.

Scorpia gives a running commentary of "Wow!" and "Gosh!" the whole time, giving Entrapta a play by play she does not need, while putting a dent in the veggie platter Netossa and Spinnerella brought that no one else is touching (because she feels bad and Perfuma has installed in her a healthy respect for greenery).

Bow can't handle Shark Week. At all. It's much too stressful. He's worried about the sharks. He's worried about the divers. He's worried about the seals. He's worried about how blood thirsty all his friends are and how much is in those cocktails.

Instead he, Perfuma, Wrong Hordak and Sea Hawk go out. Perfuma because she doesn't enjoy watching violence she can't participate in. Sea Hawk because he used to date a shark and it brings back too many awkward memories. Wrong Hordak because he just likes to be included. They go get smoothies and watch a ballet or something culturally stimulating.

Hordak, to this day, still has no idea what a shark even is and intends to keep it that way.

I’m sorry but the way some of y’all were headcannoning Perfuma as trans simply based on the fact she had a flat chest and sharper facial structure..is not the win you think it is

Like come on “this woman was obviously born a man because they have a flat chest” is a very iffy mindset to have, and really shows how you as a person expect all biologically born women to look😬you cannot celebrate the body diversity of women She ra then turn around and go “well this woman used to be a man”/simply because you expect women to be born with defined chests and soft faces

After the war Catra, Scorpia, and Entrapta start having "Super Pal Trio Weekends" in an effort to rebuild their friendship. Adora, Perfuma, and Hordak are forced to hang out together during these weekends, which is incredibly awkward for them because they couldn't have less in common. It gets so bad that the three of them, yes even HORDAK, start striking up conversations with random strangers who wander too close.

Angella, Micah, and Castaspella are all demisexual.

...so then you understand that's not the show's fault, right? That that's just a problem you made up in your head?

Excuse me a second, I need to scream about this...

Because this has come up over and over (esp on Twitter and TikTok) with people who want to claim that every bi/pan SPOP character ends up in a m/f relationship... by conveniently pretending Perfuma is not canonically bi/pan herself. And every time they are asked to elaborate why they are ignoring her canon status, they give the same answer: that they consider Perfuma a lesbian because now that she's with a woman, she's "not bi anymore"

And... yeah... you know that's not how it works, right? That being bi/pan is not just a phase you get over? That a bi/pan woman dating another woman doesn't suddenly make her a lesbian any more than it makes a bi/pan person dating someone of the opposite gender magically straight?

The person you are currently dating does not change your bi/pan status. Ever. And insisting it does, especially just so you can score some points by making up an issue about a show to be mad about, is super GD harm harmful to the real bi/pan people in your life.

(This is the exact same thing The Owl House fandom does with Lumity and why Dana had to make Luz present a whole slideshow in the cartoon reminding everyone she is still very much bi even though Amity is a lesbian. TOH fans kept insisting because Luz is dating Amity now, she's a lesbian. Nope. Her and Amity can be married for a billion years and that wouldn't change Luz's orientation.)

"But I heard that someone's roommate's cousin who worked with someone on the show once liked a fanart that showed Scorfuma with the lesbian flag so it's basically canon!"

First of all, the legend of this grows daily and I think it's really telling that this archival obsessed fandom only talks about this mythical like and yet has never been able to produce a single screenshot of it.

But for the sake of argument, let's say that this really happened and actually exists, that someone related to the show, however distantly, liked fanart once that implied Perfuma was a lesbian somehow. That still doesn't make it canon. People related to the show and even ND himself have liked and reblogged all sorts of stuff that isn't canon, including g/a, and have been very clear that the only canon is what happens within the show itself.

And, in the show, Perfuma is canonically bi/pan. We see her crushing on Bow, She-Ra, Huntara and Scorpia. The fact that people want to pretend the Bow thing never happened when he's the only character we see her actually date over the run of the show AND it's a major Season 1 plot point is wild to me and just shows the lengths people will go for bi/pan erasure.

And I get that some people enjoy using Perfuma to tell a story about comphet or coming out as a lesbian later in life and I am fully in favor of doing your thing with your headcanons in fanworks. But when it reaches the point it has now where fans are attacking other fans for saying Perfuma is bi/pan or attacking the show for not having any bi/pan character in same sex relationships when Perfuma is CANONICALLY bi/pan is ridiculous.

Keep in mind that your headcanon is literally just something you made up in your head. It's pretend. Fun, yes, but NOT something you can use as justification to attack people over!

Especially when it's something like this that causes real world harm by perpetuating harmful stereotypes about bi/pan people being "just a phase" or a temporary state that changes based on who you date.

Adora: Protein shakes. Gotta keep those gains!

Catra: Milk. Because she’s basically a cat.

Glimmer: Fanta (strawberry in particular). It’s sparkly and fruity just like her!

Bow: Pepsi. His taste in soda is uncomplicated but he has too much of a sweet tooth for Coke.

Perfuma: Gatorade. It’s got what plants crave.

Mermista: Water. She’s the princess of it anyway.

Sea Hawk: Sarsaparilla. He strikes me as someone who would drink sarsaparilla.

Scorpia: Ginger ale. She likes the “bite” it has.

Double Trouble: Cranberry juice. Looks sophisticated in a stemmed glass

Entrapta: Mini cans of Coke

Hordak: Mountain Dew Baja Blast. Reminds him of the nutrient pouches.

Madame Razz: Sangria Senorial (non-alcoholic). It’s like her berries!

Frosta: Blue Raspberry Icee. Icy and in her favorite color!

Shadow Weaver: Children’s tears. And Catra’s.

isn't it funny how spop fans just decided one day that catra canonically has BPD? the show doesn't explicitly say it, none of the crew confirms it either. spop fans just saw that some of catra's behaviour is similar to that of people with BPD (mainly her abandonment issues and s*icidal tendecies, i think) and decided that they're qualified to diagnose this fictional character with a very real disorder.

look, if you have BPD yourself and you relate to catra, that's totally valid. but headcanons are called headcanons for a reason. as long as the writers didn't write catra as a character with BPD, she does not have BPD. her exhibiting some similar traits does not count.

in that case, i can say that horde prime has NPD and therefore shouldn't be held accountable for his actions. but that's not how it works.

even if catra was written to have BPD, that's not an excuse for the way she treats people. you cannot use your mental state to justify abuse or any of the bazillion crimes catra has committed.

as someone who struggles with mental health (bipolar type 2) and also as a psych major, while it sucks to have the chemicals in your body control the way you feel and act, it's not an excuse to hurt others. and you can't blame people if they get mad at you or choose to walk away from you.

therapy and medication would definitely help you in this scenario but in catra's case, there's no therapist in etheria (perfuma is not a therapist, and never will be) and i also doubt that catra would be willing to go to therapy, considering how she's not even ready to admit that she's the problem.

in conclusion, catra does not have BPD. she was not written as a character who has BPD, even if she exhibits some of the symptoms. you cannot use this as an argument when people point out her toxicity. learn to differentiate a headcanon from canon.
