i come bearing more Thoughts like a Doomed Prophet

1. luigi gets kidnapped and brainwashed by king boo. he's now this arrogant and snobby lil bastard (still loving towards bowser tho), and everyone is confused by the personality shift. as they try to adjust, bowser starts feeling lonely bc while the dominance luigi is displaying is attractive and new, he's no longer the man he fell in love with. the kids feel much the same way, as luigi is so detached from them now. in the shadows, luigi is working to gather information and mobilize the army to take over the mushroom kingdom on command of king boo.

2. luigi's always been a little off in the head. no sense of self-preservation, rather he was self-destructive. the mario bros get isekai'd into the mushroom kingdom, save peach from the kidnappings, and luigi eventually starts a relationship with bowser. one day, luigi starts going off-the-wall bonkers, causing chaos and hurt everywhere he goes. bowser, mario, and peach work together to contain him and figure out why this is happening and how to stop it (maybe something from his past is the cause or trigger?)

3. mr. L idea: bowser's been too quiet for peach's liking, so she sends luigi to the koopa kingdom to spy on him and reveal his plans to her. to do so, he dons his mr. L clothes and pretends to be evil, getting himself recruited into bowser's army. he's meant to spend a month there, reporting back to peach once a week, but as his relationship with the koopa king deepens, he reports less and less until he doesn't appear in the last week. bowser knows it's luigi (thanks to kamek telling him 2 weeks in), but luigi finds himself taken seriously, appreciated, and so genuinely liked in the koopa kingdom, he ends up turning his back on peach and joining bowser for real.

i have an alternative idea for the brainwash plot too but im liking that alternative so much i'll define it more first and then give it its own post

Random Luigi (potentially Bowuigi) concept i had

Basically Luigi Villain arc. Ik it's probably done a milliion times before but shhh

He's tired of being the butt of everyone's jokes and had quite a bit of mental changes, making him be considered close to insanity tbh.

Now he wants power so no one can push him down anymore but because he's lacking the strength to overthrow the mushroom kingdom he leaves it and returns to a certain mansion in his possession that happens to be filled with Ghosts. Since, bc plot conveniance mainly, he still has king boo's crystal he can easily control the Ghosts to follow him. Polterpup is also doing a lot to keep them in line when Luigi is busy. He calls it the Ghost kingdom.

Insane weegee decides to punish (meaning torture and execute) everyone who ever wronged and made fun of him. Considering it's pretty much everyone he starts to invade/massacre kingdom after kingdom. Settlement after Settlement. Only growing stronger and more powerful with each Victory. And since Ghosts and boos are everywhere his following also gets bigger every time, too. The only kingdoms he hasnt touched yet are Sarazar Land, despite being probably a disappointment to Daisy (he hasnt spoken to her in a long while) he still sees her as someone truly good, The mushroom kingdom, not the strength yet, and the darklands, also not the strength yet. Everything else either fell or got a war declaration.

The mushroom kingdom and darklands put on a temporary alliance, not knowing yet who or what caused all these murderous Ghosts. To them Luigi is simply missing. Until one day bowser sees Luigi by chance. He can barely recognize him. Being the kindhearted coward no more he has a confident and strong presence, a changed style of clothes ("only appropriate to a King" Luigi thought) and this twisted, menacing glint in his eyes.

Now, Luigi doesnt entirely realize what he's doing is wrong. He knows torture and murder is cruel but to him it's deserved revenge. Him breaking out of his own misery. He doesnt consider himself evil or a villain. To him he's doing what's right. Eradicating everyone who has proven to him that they can and will harm others for their own amusement.

Depending on the story Bowser can go to respect Luigi and they Team up eventually, creating a powerful Nation of Terror, or Bowser can stick to peach and help stop Luigi.

Luigi’s been acting weird lately-- and Bowser’s concerned. When Luigi vanishes one day without any warning, Bowser begrudgingly turns to Mario for help, meeting him at a (humorously petite) cafe in Mushroom Kingdom to discuss what’s been going on. Old rivalries die hard.

The cafe has really good liability insurance, don’t worry.

bear with me as i try to find my footing with this LOL, i am by no means a professional comic artist. i’m writing (or attempting to, at least) a comic based on my Evil Luigi AU-- read the original post/see the original art my looking thru the #my art tag on my blog! this is a bowuigi AU, so the relationship’s pre-established and Luigi, up until he ran away, had been ruling Koopa Kingdom alongside Bowser and navigating that fun new king life.

i have no idea what to tell yall to expect other than the fact that this will be very inconsistent in literally all senses of the word :’) but hey, im tryin my best-- i havent done any sort of comic in a long time and im having a lot of fun with this so far. if anything it’s good practice. right now i have at least a few pages planned out, but im not sure how quickly ill be able to draw them out, especially since i’ll be working full-time again soon. so see this as a bit of a teaser for things to come/an experiment to measure interest in the idea. :D
