Buffy season 1 always gave me R.L. Stine vibes. So I decided to use AI to help me create some images inspired by each Buffy episode, and turn them into Goosebumps book covers. This post covers Buffy season 1 episodes 1-6.
i got commissioned by my dear mutual @nedlittle to make a mock 1950s-pulp-lesbian-novel-style cover for their incredibly good Peg Hunnicutt-centric lesbian fic "trouser role" which you should all go read right now if you haven't! have i mentioned it's really really really good! it is! go read it!
All the Blue Castle posts across my dash lately made me want to do some art. I like how this came out -- very much like the flimsy old paper jackets on books from the 1920s and 30s. Most haven't survived all the decades, but sometimes, if you go to the right sort of used book store, you'll find them intact.
The paper I used was almost 6 x 9.5, very close to book size, so part of the challenge was figuring out how to incorporate the elements in a small space.
Remix of the Drink Slay Love movie poster as a fake book cover for the fic I wrote! (Yes it got a movie. It's... okay. Good excuse to draw characters anyway!)
Faux book cover for Jill Bearup’s book Just Stab Me Now- I’ve always wanted to do some faux book covers and the release of this one was the motivation I needed. That, and a good concept sketch XD
Silverheart, the cursed of StarClan.
He tries to live his life no matter what it takes.
I want to tell my son's story so bad, but I don't think a comic will do it.
I will write what I have and from time to time I will draw events. Or I can make a mix of text with a couple of illustrations, not as a comic but as an "illustrated book"
I doubt I will make a drawing like that again, it took me a long time and the result… Let's say I'm satisfied
