There is truely no such thing as a ‘simple’ tail pattern. I patterned up a basic 3 colour design using the maquette method (where you pattern small then enlarge to correct scale) & still ended up with 16 pieces. This means the whole tail will have 32 pieces total, not including pieces for the gore cap/belt tunnel. But regardless, man, does this pattern look goood!

Since the discourse about fursuits being too expensive is going around again, here’s a pattern for a fursuit head. That’s 28 pieces just for half a head! The final head will be 58 outer fur pieces total & all that all get preshaven & I hand sew. The mouth, lining, and internal battery pockets will be even more pieces. This is one of the reasons fursuits are expensive, they are a handmade artisan product.

First look at new Blop. No tail yet. Good luck how I'm going to manage with Blops huge ass tail AND the digi padding. Also the front zipper needs to be installed as well as the pockets I plan on putting in. Also the stuffing has to be actually put into pillows cuz I can't just have it loose like it was for this. ((Its my personal stuffing. Would never bare-stuff with stuffing I planned to use for someone else's stuff)) also let it be known that it feels weird to have a drop crotch. Introducing our very first head blank or base: sergal! Cast in flexible foam with a delightfully smooth finish. This is the face part, carve it open with a knife and trim it from the (in)sides to fit your project. It does not have a pre-designed nostril placement so that it could be decided by the artist. Measurements: length 32,5 cm / 13", width 20 cm / 8", height 21 cm / 8.3", muzzle circumference 40 cm / 16" Weight: 500g (uncut) We're currently developing this design further and will have other sergal parts available soon.
