What would be the South Park characters Overwatch main:

Let’s start with team 1 (the main 4 +Butters):

Tank: Cartman obviously.

He’s that annoying RoadHog 1 trick but after Hog got reworked he became an annoying Doomfist 1 trick. Don’t ask him to switch even if he’s being hard countered. He won’t. Constantly complains about heals. If they win he says “gg ez tank diff” even when he’s done the worst in the lobby but if they lose he will say “support diff/no heals”. Every time he falls off the map Kyle types “?” In chat.

DPS 1: Kenny.

Kenny plays JunkRat mainly. He’s the type of JunkRat to go into the whole enemy team alone just to die but still gets like a 2k with his dead body mines. The suicidal JunkRat play. Will go out of his way to find the Mercy with his Tire even if it kills him. Will also circle around a Mei in ice block with his tire to kill her despite him also playing Mei too sometimes. Definitely made at least one of those TikTok’s of JunkRat using his sit down emote in front of the spawn doors on top of one of his traps. Spams the ‘ahhh it’s snowing’ voice line 24/7.

DPS 2: Stan

Stan is that hitscan player you despise. The type you sit there and think, if you didn’t play hitscan you would be terrible, spoiler he wouldn’t be terrible. His most comfortable character though is Soldier 76. Hella basic but he enjoys it. He actually used to be a Genji main though but he got tired of constantly being solo gravd when he was nano blading. Kind of expected Wendy to be his pocket Mercy (she did not). Will 100% flirt with a Mercy to get a pocket in the spawn room and taxi them back from spawn.

Support 1: Butters

Everyone expected him to be a Mercy 1 trick. They were wrong. When he plays Mercy he’s the stereotypical heal bot sugar plum fairy Mercy. Butters is actually a Brigitte main. He can play other supports if needed but he isn’t very good at them. He only wears the Goat Brig skin. Will throw the game just to show everyone the Katt Brig emote. Will also refuse to kill Wrecking Ball players.

Support 2: Kyle

Absolutely feral when playing Ana. The type of Ana that would sleep an invis Sombra because his ‘Sombra senses’ were tingling. If you’re playing tank against his Ana you might as well just leave the game or you’ll be constantly slept or antid. He might have thrown a bit of a fit when Kiriko was introduced. Now he just sleeps any Kiriko’s and nano’s a teammate to solo ult her for him. Will nano a Mercy. He can play any support though and as much as he loves to play Ana his highest win percentage is on Mercy. He’s Stan’s egirl pocket Mercy, he hates it (he’s lying).

Team 2 (Craig’s gang):

Tank: Clyde

D.Va 1 trick (he thinks she’s hot). Will spam ‘is this easy mode~’ after every kill. Gets salty when he gets D.Va diffed or if the enemy D.Va gets play of the Game. Owns every D.Va skin, emote, victory pose and highlight intros.

DPS 1: Craig

Hanzo main but is a menace when playing Torbjörn or Symmetra. Will chase after you with Torbs hammer. Will also put a Sym tp at the edge of the map to make his teammates fall off. His true strength though, Bastion. Yup he’s on of those players. He will kind of just play whatever character people find the most annoying at the time.

DPS 2: Jimmy

Plays only female characters. His personal favourite is Tracer though. He also loves playing Widowmaker but he’s terrible at her. Bro can’t land a single shot. Will definitely play Pharah into double hitscan and wonder why he’s dying so much.

Support 1: Tolkien

Loves playing characters like Baptise and Ana, just supports that can pump out a lot of heals but still defend themselves if needed. Throws the best timed Immortality Fields so much it makes people want to cry. Tolkien is the type of support player that would always make sure his fellow support player is okay. Like jump off the map to help a Mercy get back up type of guy.

Support 2: Tweek

Most people are shocked when Tweek says he’s a support main, they’re even more shocked when he tells them he’s a Zenyatta/Lucio main. Tweek also enjoys playing Mercy every now and then. Battle Mercy is in his blood. Will scream when he gets nanoed no matter who he’s playing. When he’s pissed off at Craig he will play Mercy and t-bag Craig’s dead soul and refuse to Rez him. Tweek is the most petty support main. You spam ‘I need healing’ too much and he will refuse to heal you for the rest of the game, competitive or not.

i had a self indulgent convo w my brother a few days ago so here’s my mp100 charas overwatch main bias:

reigen: projectile heroes, hanzo + ramattra mostly but will also play support w high dmg output (ana, zenyatta)

dimple: literally every annoying hero ever (specifically sombra)

mob: mercy one trick (doesn’t wanna hurt anyone, never pulls out his glock)

ritsu: mei.

teru: all the flashy heroes (d.va, genji, lucio)

serizawa: dedicated tank main, has the most hours on wrecking ball even though he sucks at him (just thinks he’s cute hampter) ACTUALLY really good with sigma and relates to him so he’s wawa’s fave, likes spamming winston OH YEAH! voiceline and shadow puppet feet emote

While Scorpion's forever home is lost - the one to live in until the end of time - he hasn't burn down with it, and with them. For homes are never meant to be permanent, and so do people. Harumi and Satoshi and the entirety of the original Shirai Ryu may have been lost, but they weren't created to become his everything. The ouroboros of his incessant, persistent grief, sorrow, cruelty, and anger had become a metaphorical amputation that took away Hanzo Hasashi's valuable character and humanity, and yet, Scorpion still bleeds hope, strength, and brilliant light. For his hope and resilience is incurable hemophilia; he bleeds, excessively bleeds, and bleeds the passion, vigor, and fire of vivid red.

"Once I falsely thought the stars of Harumi and Satoshi were malicious; blaming their deaths upon me, for I could not protect and save them," how his exhibited sorrow reveals; each painting a new betrayal against the absolute truth, building strokes and shades of grief. Blues, grays, and blacks blurring around him. Were they really blurred, or was it my welled-up emotions threatening to succumb me whole? But there is glistening light reflected upon his alabaster irises. For even the museum of his sadness becomes exquisitely beautiful. And it was everything. Can you do headcanons on SubScorp (Kuai Liang / Hanzo Hasashi) and the evolution of their relationship, please? ♡

Sure, just please keep in mind that rock has a better romantic sense than I ever will. I’m not a shipper in general and SubScorp has a lot to overcome in my mind to even get close as friends but I will do my best! In advance, sorry for the long text and especially opening. My hand slipped but I needed to build the romantic headcanons on something.

Oh, and I kinda threw away the canon timeline here and there and went with how I would write their relationship (and story, I guess) if I was given the chance.

At the beginning, Hanzo and Kuai were bitter enemies and their hate for each other was the exact reason why Quan Chi kept them working together. The revenants were creatures of vivid emotions, twisted and corrupted by Netherrealm fire. So the stronger they hated, the mightier were their unnatural powers. But there was also a more sinister reason: Quan Chi kept them together, day after day, because it amused him to watch how Sub-Zero and Scorpion wanted to hurt each other but always were defenseless against his magic, always blindly obedient. To have two deadliest of enemies as slaves under his power was the best perk of necromancy.

When they were revenants though, Quan Chi’s cruel joke meant nothing. Kuai Liang had no free will, no remorse, only hate and pain to go on. Hanzo could - should - run away, but didn’t. He was broken in thousands of little ways and it was easier to follow orders, to not think than take responsibility for his own choices, to face the utterly devastating feeling of failure. It wasn't a good life - it wasn’t a life at all, but it was all they had.

After so many days turned into weeks turned into months, the constant presence of each other became the punishment and the salvation at once. They hated each other and this hate never truly left them for a moment, never let them feel peace of mind. They hated each other but it was an emotion that bonded them together, grounded in reality, made sense in an otherwise senseless world.

Hanzo and Kuai Liang got used to each other that the presence of mutual disdain was as normal part of their cursed life as breathing for a living person.

But then Quan Chi lost and suddenly they both were brought to life against their will. The first weeks were the worst. They were victims of dark magic, everyone was saying but none of them was a killer responsible for thousands of brutal deaths. Not like Hanzo and Kuai Liang and because of that, the burden of guilt was their alone. A burden they didn’t want to share among themselves, so they sought out different paths to find some solace.

For Hanzo, there was nothing to come back. The home of Shirai Ryu was destroyed, devastated beyond any measure. He still heard clearly Quan Chi’s voice in his head, how he failed his clan, how shamed his wife and child. Hanzo felt dirty and unworthy and utterly lost. The once mighty Scorpion was now a wreck, a directionless nomad.

For Kuai Liang, the home was Lin Kuei but it was taken by cyber monsters without souls. Once he returned to living, those monsters hunted him restlessly. For years he ran and hid and killed and killed and killed and killed until he was ready to face Sektor and reclaim what was once his. An honor and a purpose in life, so he could find Scorpion and kill him for brother’s death. But then he learned dark secrets of the clan and even darker truths that changed everything.

Because of that, Kuai Liang invited Hanzo to Lin Kuei Temple, offered peace and a new start, a way to atone for all crimes and sins they committed arm to arm during war. Above everything else, offered the truth that finally set them both free from their cruel past.

They did not keep in touch then though. They met sporadically, when Raiden asked his Champions to assist in this or that little crisis. To hunt the demons that somehow survived the war, to find oh so rare, mystic artifact or two, or do a quick job in the Outworld. They were assassins after all and Special Forces the heroes who shouldn’t dirty their hands.

During those meetings, Hanzo and Kuai Liang tried to stay as far as possible without making a fuss about it. During missions though there was no one who could safely separate them, and thus save them from painful memories of the past.

It was terrifying to Hanzo how much he missed Sub-Zero’s cold presence at his side, even if the so well known hate for Bi-Han’s death still hid beneath the cryomancer's skin like a furious, wild beast, always present, never forgiving, kept in check only by Lin Kuei’s iron will.

It was terrifying for Kuai Liang how well he still understood Scorpion’s body language even though the ninja tried so desperately to hide scars left by Quan Chi on his soul, all those unsaid horrors he experienced, all the doubts and pain and self-hatred that burned as hot as Netherrealm fire that twisted them both.

But those sporadic joint missions alone weren’t what helped them connect once and forever.

Ironically, it was the guilt that let one understand so well the other, to know when it was a good time for jab and when not to speak - not to see - raw pain that both so hard tried to bury under their respective masks, of cold politeness and hot devotion to the past. Surprisingly, it was also the arrogance of united governments that wanted to use them to expand Earthrealm’s control over wild Outworld yet did not see them as human beings. To be seen as a useful tool but never truly welcome wasn’t anything new for any of them. Kuai Liang and Hanzo were a relic of a dark past that should have died years ago yet were too stubborn to just yield and blindly follow orders even again. This burning desire for independence and search for their lost humanity built a common ground, the bridge between past hate and empathy.

This, and their shared disdain for Johnny’s never ending jokes. In the past, every time the Champions of Earthrealm met in the same place and Cage opened his mouth to talk Hollywood's weirdness, Hanzo got closer and closer to Kuai Liang. There was no word of recognition or permission - one look at each other and they understood perfectly it was either stay strong together and endure this senseless, annoying wave of words or do something regrettable.

And because they already had enough guilt to worry about, Sub-Zero and Scorpion simply stood arm to arm, like they did during war. Somehow that comforting familiarity grew up into something much stronger; not yet friendship but unity anyway. Time did not heal them but the mutual hate faded little by little, day after day until pain was nothing more than bitter ache they simply learned to live with.

Despite everything and everyone, Hanzo and Kuai Liang got to trust each other, to rely on a bond that was once a cruel Quan Chi’s joke.

Sub-Zero was the person that accompanied Hanzo to the Shirai-Ryu clan’s ruins, so he could finally bury dead ones left there forgotten by the world. Hanzo should have done that long ago, he knew, but the claw of fear clung to his heart for years and would not let it. The fear that Hanzo Hasashi never truly existed and he was a fraud, another lie begotten by Netherrealm. That there was no Harumi nor Satoshi and in the end he clinged so desperately to a nightmare that never was true to begin with. A nightmare for which he murdered the wrong person and brought someone else this maddening pain.

Seeing the ruins of home - the once so familiar bodies now just flesh spread out, glistening bones scattered everywhere, ripped and crushed, forgotten - was like dying again. Hanzo broke down and for the first time in a decade allowed himself to cry. Kuai Liang was there by his side, offering no wise words, nor comfort. He simply sat there, back to back with Hanzo, so he could know he wasn’t truly left alone this time yet quietly like a shadow to not disturb his grief. Hanzo would never forget this kindness for the rest of his life. He wouldn’t forget the sacrifice made that day by Sub-Zero to come to mortuary ruins, to bury another clan slaughtered without mercy in the name of madness and spite.

But with pain came also relief, that his memories were truly his and not another sweet lie whispered to his ear by a twisted sorcerer.

(Kuai Liang came here because it was the right thing to do. To pay respect and melt the dark past into a better future in which Shirai Ryu and Lin Kuei could be an ally, maybe even brothers in arms. He came for Hanzo, because no one did that for him, when he had countless bodies of comrades to bury after Sektor’s defeat and no one should be forced to do so alone. He came there also for himself, to see and be sure Bi-Han wasn’t part of the heartless crime. The hallmarks of a frontal attack, chaotic destruction and coarse, devoid of surgical precision violence were proof it wasn’t Bi-Han’s work. His brother would never be so sloppy, so random in his attack. He even told so Hanzo, in this moment of relief and social clumsiness and Scorpion just looked at him with the reddened eyes and did not burst in flame of anger, just… accepted the truth and Kuai Liang said no more about it.)

Scorpion was the person that stayed at Kuai Liang’s side when Frost betrayed her master and disappeared without a trace. He never liked the cryomancer girl - she reminded him too much of Sub-Zero who sought him for brother’s death. Young and brash, untamed, always snarling, spitting with venom in their face. But above everything else, Frost’s anger burned too hot like his own and he hated to look at her and to see himself.

Maybe losing such a precious student - an heir - was like losing a child. Hanzo understood this crushing feeling but there were no right words to offer. Even if he knew them, Sub-Zero did not want pity, did not want to talk. All he needed was a space to unleash fury and pain, the excess of emotions too large to bury them in the tomb of a cold heart. And so day after day, night after night, the ice and fire clashed over and over again until all muscles burned and the ache brought finally some peace. Not much, but enough to let Kuai Liang not dwell on his failure and focus on Grandmaster’s duties.

(There was something off about this whole situation but Hanzo couldn’t pick on what exactly. Kuai Liang had secrets he didn’t share, not yet and Hanzo respected his wishes, trusting Lin Kuei’s word. So far, Kuai Liang never had let him down. Scorpion trusted and it was terrifying on its own).

Those were the little steps into a path that brought them closer. It wasn't love for each other then, not even romantic infatuation, but love for the lost one, for family that was once but no longer. They understood this grief too well.

The first time Hanzo felt the pang of love, he and Kuai Liang were debating about the proper course of the upcoming mission. They were sitting in Hanzo’s room, with an open door leading to the Fire Garden. Then, without warning came spring rain and both looked out on instinct. The air was filled with the freshness of trees and flowers coming back to life; a freshness they breathed in greedily to wash out the taste of Netherrealm ash forever.

On that day, everything seemed to be in the right place. Just the two of them, sitting arm to arm delighted by the simplest things in life; a warm rain, nourishing garden, a steaming mug of tea between all of this. There was a peace Hanzo did not feel for ages and the sound of the rain and steady breath of his companion lulled him into half-sleep, half-awareness.

On that day, Hanzo wished to keep this moment forever.

The second time Hanzo felt something toward Kuai Liang, it was on Lin Kuei’s training ground. They spared, like they always did in their free or stressful time, but for whatever reason, Kuai Liang smiled at him, this soft, weirdly cocky smile he rarely shows in company and Hanzo looked at it for a few seconds too long before he understood how fast his heart beat, how warmness filled him - not the Netherrealm fire that burns through his muscles and bones, but warmth that he felt only around his wife and child. He wanted to kiss those lips, to feel its coldness on his own. It was wrong on so many levels and he did what he always does in times of overwhelming emotions he didn’t like. He disappeared into flames and ran the hell away from Sub-Zero’s smile. The burned holes to this day were the proof of his shameful panic.

Where did such obscene thoughts come from, he did not have an idea. But the guilt for having them even for a moment about Kuai Liang - any man, really - was too heavy, too suffocating to face Sub-Zero. So Hanzo avoided him for weeks.

And yet, he came back to Lin Kuei Temple. And again and again and again. Despite the burning shame, he sought out Kuai Liang, because only around him, the Netherrealm’s cursed fire cooled down enough to allow him to breathe.

So he danced, between disgrace and this weird feeling of happiness, of living again. Of seeking out the cryomancer and running away from horrific emotion he didn’t know how to get rid off, how to tame.

(Hanzo loved Harumi with all his heart. How could he love - desire - anyone else? And a man whose brother he unjustly killed?)

Kuai Liang decided to not discuss Scorpion’s emotional swings until Hanzo figured it out for himself what he truly wanted. There was no point to get involved into some sentimental drama if there was no hope for sensible agreement.

The Lin Kuei always desired a new generation of warriors, so sex wasn’t any taboo. Some warriors sought comfort in the arms of strange women and men, some between each other. Sex wasn’t forbidden but the emotions were. To feel loyalty or worse, love, to a fellow warrior instead of trusting the masters was a crime.

Kuai Liang did not feel any sudden pang of love toward Hanzo, nor any desire for physical contact. Romanticism never was part of any cryomancer’s nature. He missed his brother and Smoke, but year after year the pain of loss dulled enough to leave him with nothingness. Kuai Liang knew only this: somehow Scorpion became the only source of warmth that kept his heart from freezing completely.

Kuai Liang didn’t have a proper name for what twirled in his soul - a friendship or a love, how one could tell those apart? He wished his older brother or Smoke was there to tell him it was alright to like - care for - Hanzo, but both were dead and twisted into monsters. It was just him and his fragile, scarred heart to judge what was right and what was not. And hope Bi-Han would forgive him the weakness.

They find the balance that keeps both safe, warming the frozen heart and cooling down the neverending flame of anger. For a decade or so, it worked well.

But then Hanzo killed Quan Chi and ruined the chance to free revenants from sorcerer’s curse. The Champions of Earthrealm never liked Scorpion to begin with, now he was persona non grata. Rightly so. Imprisoned, he awaited their judgment. Scorpion could easily escape but chose not to - he was ready to face the consequences yet there was no court nor punishment. The Grandmaster of Lin Kuei came for him and made it clear to all representatives of the united governments and army that he will with Hanzo at his side, over their dead bodies if need be.

Twenty years was not enough time to forget what they together were capable of in fight. How dangerous and experienced murderers they were. No one dared to stop them when they left military base together.

Kuai Liang did not rely on words to show his feelings. Deeds always spoke more than any pretty speech. He was disappointed yet he still came for Hanzo. He saw Scorpion’s arrogance, egoism, breaking point and still came and that only made Hanzo love him more. For the first time, he did not feel shame or guilt for loving - and being loved - by another man.

Hanzo Hasashi’s choice almost brought destruction to the world yet somehow, this tragedy made them inseparable for good. It wasn’t always easy - they argued, for fun and for real and there were still rare days when it was only wise to stay away from each other. Like the day of Bi-Han’s unjust death and the lost chance to bring Harumi and Satoshi to life. They were beyond the primal hate yet some instincts were too strong to risk destroying what they built for themselves over the years.

Somehow through the years they changed from Sub-Zero and Scorpion to Grandmasters of their respective clans and from those to just Kuai Liang and Hanzo.

Hanzo wasn’t used to being so casually called by name but he liked the change. It was Sub-Zero’s voice, he suspected, that made him feel so attracted. At the same time, he felt honored when Kuai Liang told his birth - forbidden - name. He knew it already, for years, but it was different to know and be told, allowed, to use it freely.

Hanzo’s turbulent relationship with other Champions got worse once his student, Takeda started dating Jaqueline Briggs. The Champions distrusted and disliked him and he didn’t feel any need to reconcile with them. Kuai Liang was disappointed in him for treating the girl coldly but everytime asked why he still bothered to deal with Shirai Ruy Grandmaster, the answer was one and the same - he is my equal. For Hanzo it was the most beautiful and terrifying declaration.

(At the same time, everytime Hanzo heard someone accusing Sub-Zero of being cold, heartless, untouched by trauma, the anger burned him wholly. Who were they to judge, to mock Kuai Liang’s pain that hid so well under polite words and calmness? He did not care what people said about him, but would not stand any mockery against those he respected - loved - so much.)

Then of course another immortal being decided to screw up everything and messed up timelines. The younger, brash and mad version of Scorpion wasn’t something that Hanzo and Kuai Liang actually wanted to see, nor the repeat of Cyber Lin Kuei. Then Hanzo died and woke up, again trapped in Netherrealm. So he ran at the first chance, thinking more about Kuai Liang than about his own fears of burning alive in hell forever. The sight of Sub-Zero in hell should have alarmed him - and it did, for a moment, scare Hanzo that the other man died too which was an unbearable thought. But Kuai Liang was alive and so, so determined to bring him back home. If that wasn’t the loudest, the most tangible declaration of love, what else could it be?

And so, like twenty years ago, they fight side to side, like one body and soul. And destroyed, killed, tore apart demons and hellspawn, everything and everyone that stood in their way to freedom, to safety of Earthrealm’s boundaries. First time in ages, they could unleash their anger at those who hurt them, enslaved, and used. It felt so good, so right to be a storm of vengeful fury that frightened even the mighty Netherrealm. They were alive and together and nothing, no gods, titans or destiny, could stop them.

Kuai Liang and Hanzo did not talk much about their last visit in Netherrealm. What happened there was their and only their moment to relish, incomprehensible for bystanders. It was weird though, to come back to live and face his younger, stubborn self. Kuai Liang did not like this Scorpion much and to be honest, Hanzo did not like this version of himself too. It was Scorpion from the darkest time in their past, when only mutual hate connected them. At the same time, there was something amusing to see himself so awkward and uneasy everytime when Kuai Liang and older Hanzo sat so closely, relaxed and calm, like it was the normalest thing to do. When they acted like halves of the same soul.

Kuai Liang never was keen to show any romantic gestures but sometimes he took Hanzo’s hand to emphasize clearly what they were. Hanzo was always surprised by Sub-Zero’s openness and filled with joy, whereas his younger self was confused as hell. Okay, it’s time for some deep nerdery to speculate about Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 has 30+ characters. That’s one hell of a large ensemble. If Blizzard had any brain cells, they would probably try and take a similar approach to how Marvel handled their large cast in Avengers: Infinity War.

Remember Infinity War? It functioned as a movie by keeping its groups of characters small (at most five people per group) but also by choosing ‘main characters’ that it focused most of its emotional energy on (most notably, Ironman, Dr. Strange, Vision, Thor, Thanos, and Gamora). The main characters were the ones with emotional arcs and therefore had the most screentime. The rest of the cast was quite static. Also, characters in different groups rarely, if ever got to interact with any characters outside of their group, with the rare exception of a quip or two.

My suspicion is that Overwatch 2 is going to do a VERY similar thing. This means that the roster of Overwatch heroes are going to be divided up into groups and assigned either main character or side character status.

So who’s going to be in each group? That I can’t tell you. As Marvel has shown, characters are grouped up not based on character compatibility, or even arc potential, but instead on what would best make the plot go forward. (For example, raise your hand if you predicted that Ironman, Spiderman, and Dr. Strange would team up with Starlord, Mantis, and Drax for the climax. No one? That’s what I thought.)

What I can predict, however, is whether each Overwatch hero is going to be given main character status or not. My predictions are going to be based on lore importance and current emotional arcs that have been set up the Overwatch continuity. Unfortunately, fan favoritism or previous screen time is not a good indicator (again, as shown in Infinity War.: raise your hand if you predicted that Captain F*cking America would have less than fifteen minutes screentime?) and therefore will not be counted in my evaluation.

NOTE: It is assumed that the plot of Overwatch 2 will be the plot that was introduced in the Zero Hour short, along with the gameplay trailer.

I’ll go tank/damage/support, alphabetically through each section.

D.va- Oh, poor D.va. Unfortunately, I think she’s just going to be a side character. Being so unconnected with the rest of the cast is a death sentence for plot importance. The only way I can see her being a major player is in an indirect way- if Blizzard decides to focus on the “Omnic From the Sea” they teased at in the short Shooting Star.

Orisa- Orisa is not so cleanly cut. Given that she was created to defeat Doomfist, she has potential to be the one who takes him down. They’re narrative and thematic rivals (an analysis of which could be a whole other post) which made me finally decide that she’ll be main character status. I know that seems like a cop-out, but given how Doomfist is the main face of villainy, her connection with him makes her important.

Reinhardt- I’m going to be massacred for this, but I don’t see any universe where Reinhardt is a main character. His character is static, his connection with old Overwatch is the most flimsy out of the oldies, and most of his backstory has already been explored. He’s going to be a side character, relegated to a mentor to Brigitte.

Roadhog- Nope. Side character. He and Junkrat fall into the same boat. Not being a part of Overwatch and having no connections to any characters in Overwatch makes more than passing screentime impossible.

Sigma- OUR BOY SIGMA is going to get no screentime, calling it right now. He’s going to be firmly relegated to side character status. Why? Although he might be a serious fan favorite, his lore and the conflict it introduces (the cosmic horror of the universe) doesn’t really apply to the rest of Overwatch. We know he’s affiliated with Talon, but more like a weapon than a character. He’s got serious redemption potential, but the arc would be very. . . simple. As soon as he gets to Overwatch the arc would be over. 

Winston- MAIN CHARACTER. Our mans is currently the driving force behind the majority of the plot (that isn’t whatever Talon’s doing). He’s the one who recalled Overwatch. Enough said. If he doesn’t get an arc about learning how to be a leader, I am going to be shocked.

Wrecking Ball- lol side character. Given how Blizzard hasn’t made any attempt to treat him more than a walking gimmick, he’s going to be such a side character that he might blend into the background.

Zarya- This is another character that makes me hesitate. At first glance, she’s in the same boat as D.va in that she has no personal connections with the lore or the main cast. HOWVER, she’s directly involved in the conflict of Overwatch 2 because she is currently fighting Omnics in Russia AND has been trying to track down Talon on her own for a while now. Plus, she also has a very juicy potential character arc: she’s racist towards Omnics. Her comic touched on the fact that she has the potential to outgrow her prejudice. This leads me to believe that Zarya is going to be one of the main characters, if a more minor one than the rest.

Ashe- Side character. Her connection to McCree ensures that she’ll get some juicy interactions, but not enough to be considered a main character. More than likely she’ll be contacted to help out with the plot conflict, but she’s not going to have any sort of arc or emotional connection with other characters beyond snarky one-liners.

Bastion- . . . I hate this, but I don’t trust Blizzard to give Bastion the relevance they deserve as a character. Don’t get me wrong, I think Bastion will be important to the plot of stopping the rogue Omnics, but I think Bastion themselves will be treated as a McGuffin. They’re mute and prone to acting naively, which is not conducive to character agency. I’m going treat McGuffin as a third category to my predictions.

Doomfist- literally the Thanos of this conflict. He’s going to be a main character, but I doubt he’ll get any character development, because that’s what Reaper is for.

Echo- Main character. It’s pretty much guaranteed by the fact that McCree sought her out in his animated short and that she was once the payload of Route 66. The Overwatch narrative also treats her as the “sPeCiAl OmNiC” that’s somehow more advanced/better/more sentient than the rest of the Omnic cast. As much as I think the role that they’re going to give her would be better suited for Bastion or Zenyatta, I just know that Blizzard is going to give her the full main character treatment. She’s going to be the magical bridge between Omnics and humans. Count me mad about it.

Genji- I love our ninja boy, and he’s an honorary mascot of the game, but as far as arcs go he just finished his. He’s finally found inner peace. That’s not a good sign for main-character-ism. However, he has tons and tons of connections to the rest of the cast and the lore. . . but I don’t think it’s enough. I think he’s going to end up as the character that other characters are able to bounce off of. Everybody knows him, so they’ll be talking to him a lot, but he isn’t going to drive the plot with his own struggles. He’s a side character. His brother, however. . .

Hanzo- As one of the two people in the Overwatch roster actively undergoing a serious life crisis, I suspect that Hanzo is going to be a main character. The fact that he and his goals are not connected to Talon or Overwatch is a detractor, but his emotional turmoil as established in the short Dragons is too important too ignore. His decisions, however reckless and hot-headed they will be, will significantly impact the plot. Why? Because his potential for redemption is such juicy story bait. Also, he could bring in an entire other faction, the Shimada Clan, into the plot, and that could be a game-changer.

Junkrat- Side character. The same reasoning for Roadhog applies here. He’s not connected in any way to the cast. The only potential mystery about him is the ‘treasure’ that’s been alluded to over and over again. If he has this story bait, why am I calling him a side character? Unfortunately, it’s because his ‘treasure’, whatever it is, is going to be a McGuffin. Junkrat’s going to be lucky if he avoids the same status.

McCree- A side character, but an important one. This decision was a difficult one. He’s got the lore and the connections to the other characters but not the internal character arc. He was an active player in unleashing Echo, but it’s also hinted at that he isn’t going to join the recalled Overwatch, instead striking out to do his own thing. That’s not conducive to being a major player in the story. However, his connections and conversations with other characters might, in the same way I’ve predicted Genji’s might, motivate other characters to drive the plot forward.

Mei- Side character. Nothing much else to say. Her focus on climate science isn’t going to be super relevant to the Omnic plot. She’s got only a very loose connection with other characters in the form of her Overwatch membership.

Pharah- I hate this, I hate this, I hate this, but she’s going to be a side character, calling it right now. She’s got so much potential because of her relationship with her mom, but that’s about it. Ana is her only connection to the rest of the cast. It’s important that they reconcile, but their reconciliation has nothing to do with any other plot point. It’s isolated. That’s not a good sign for her screen time, especially considering that she’s not looking for Ana and Ana is not looking for her.

Reaper- MAIN CHARACTER. You should have seen this coming. As the primary instigator of the plot (aka the reason Winston recalled Overwatch,) it should be meta-textually obvious why he’s going to have a lot of screentime. He’s directly responsible for a significant chunk of the unresolved lore conflict within old Overwatch. In order to resolve it, we’re going to be seeing him, a lot.

Soldier 76- Main character, for exactly the reasons listed above. As Reaper’s foil and the person who’s hunting him down, Soldier is going to be pretty important in concluding that unresolved conflict. It’s destiny. Like in a murder-soulmates kinda way.

Sombra- Tricky, tricky, tricky. . . it’s difficult to say. It all depends, I think, on the amount of emphasis Blizzard places on her conspiracy. If she’s the only character who knows exactly what’s going on, that could set her up to be very plot relevant. However, her relationship with other characters and to the rest of the Overwatch lore is shaky at best. I’m going to leave this one blank. There’s just too much we don’t know.

Symmetra- Here we have the other person in the Overwatch roster that is actively undergoing a serious life crisis that I alluded to. Symmetra might at first seem unrelated to everything- the lore, the characters, etc, but Blizzard has set up a surefire redemption arc for her that needs to be resolved. She is going to realize that Vishkar and Talon are connected, and she is going to make the decision to either go full villain (unlikely) or to turn over all the information she knows to Overwatch. Either way, she’s going to get involved, and she’s going to grow as a character. Main character material.

Torbjorn- Torbjorn, oh Torbjorn. Here’s a case that makes me upset. For all intents and purposes, he should be a main character. He’s the one who helped develop the Omnics, and he’s got an active character arc where he’s trying to undo the damage Omnics have caused. This ties him pretty damn directly to what we know of the plot of Overwatch 2. However, Blizzard lately has refused to treat him with respect, reducing him to a joke character because of his height and accent. Not only that, but they diminished his importance in the lore with the invention of Mina Liao and Echo. I could write and entire post about how the Mina Liao/Echo introduction was made to replace Torbjorn and Bastion’s importance in the potential plot, but all of three people would read it.

Tracer- As the literal face of Overwatch it’s pretty damn obvious that she’s going to be a main character. If you need a reminder, look at the London Calling comics and then the cover art for your copy of Overwatch.

Widowmaker- Widowmaker has literally zero character agency and only very very very loose connections with the lore/characters. HOWEVER, she does have the potential to be redeemed by death (I could make a whole other post on this) but it’s not enough to bring her into major character territory. Side character.

Ana- Side character. Given that she’s avoiding her potential emotional arc by avoiding Pharah and the rest of recalled Overwatch, she’s flat out of luck for main-character-ism. She’s going to be very important to Soldier 76 and Reaper but she won’t be the one instigating any plot points. Unfortunate.

Baptiste- Another tally for the side characters. The fact that it took him a year to even get voice interactions with the rest of the cast reflects this. His arc of leaving Talon is already done, the idea of Mauga being added to the game is history by now, and he has few connections with the current cast and plot. Big F, my dude.

Brigitte- With both her dad and her mentor being important former Overwatch members, it makes sense that she should be a main character, right? Right? Unfortunately, I think she falls into the same pitfalls as Reinhardt. Her backstory is already mostly explored and her dad is better at any plot-relevant mechanics that might be needed. She’ll help her dad, no doubt, but she’s a side character.

Lucio- I really want Lucio to be a main, really, I do, but he’s a side character. He suffers the same exact problem that D.va does. He has very little to involve him with the rest of the main caste. He’ll join Overwatch, sure, but I think it’ll be more of a decorative declaration than anything. His connection with Symmetra is his only saving grace, but even that just relegates him as a side character in her emotional arc.

Mercy- I think she’s going to be a side character, because all of her current content has her separated from everyone else and unsure about going back to recalled Overwatch. I don’t see the narrative following her inner emotional turmoil about this decision very much. She also doesn’t add anything to the potential plot.

Moira- Okay, Moira is tricky, so hear me out: her lore importance is off the CHARTS, and she’s a lot like Doomfist in the aspect that she is quite clearly villainous. She brainwashed Widowmaker. She turned Reaper into what he is today (physically, mind you,) and she probably has something to do with manipulating Sigma. But is being a villain enough? She’s not the one directly orchestrating Talon’s plan, like Doomfist is. And she’s not so directly connected to the fall of Overwatch like Reaper is. I hesitate to call her a main. Narratively, she’s going to get her comeuppance, but. . . (I’m going to leave this one blank.)

Zenyatta- The only true wild card on this list. Sure, I’ve left Sombra and Moira blank, but Zenny boy? He’s literally got nothing. There’s nothing to base predictions off of. No lore to speak of. We know that he mentored Genji. We know that he knew Mondatta. We know that he defends Omnics’ rights to exist. However, I doubt Blizzard has the nuance to tackle his perspective on the impending Omnic war in Overwatch 2. He could be a seriously major player if he was treated with the respect that his character deserves, though! He could potentially have an active role in trying to figure out what’s making the Omnic uprising occur and stopping it in its tracks! There is so much potential there! It’s all in Blizzard’s hands. It’s all about how Blizzard chooses to finally flesh out his character. . . IF they flesh out his character at all.

Mortal Kombat HeadKanon #2: “When you have a childhood trauma induced meltdown. And how your boo handles it.”

Erron Black:

He knows what abusive parents do to their children and the mental toll it takes. He was beaten by his father and hated his momma, so he knows how it feels to be unwanted as a kid. Being the loving partner he is, he takes you in his arms tightly, hoping to hold you together. He places gentle kisses on your scalp and tells you he won’t say your feelings are ever invalid or “In your head” or anything of the like. He will always tell you he loves you and will for the rest of time. And when you ask about children, if you’ll be a good parent, he says you will be since you simply asked him. He tells you that just asking was enough proof you truly care.

Stroking your hair, he holds you until you stop crying placing sweet kisses on your head. <3

Kabal:

He knows what you go through, so he tries to understand as best as he can. He may not say much (because sometimes he doesn’t know what to say) but his hugs and cuddling do the talking. He wants what’s best for you and wants to see you happy. He buys you candy, stuffed animals, and flowers, anything that cheers you up. Even running laps around the house a few times to only run into a wall or do something stupid to make you laugh. He may even let his respirators stabilize to where you find the sound of him breathing to be soothing. Even go as far as letting you grasp his hair (If its not shaved off) and play with it a while. Even discuss your problems so he can help you understand a way to cope and heal from it. <3

Kano:

Kano is very sympathetic to your feelings and will do anything to make you laugh till you cry happy tears. That being said, probably drunkenly tease you or cover you in kisses. Kano will spoil you rotten with affection and supportive of you. He will like Kabal, buy you presents, wine, and sweets to no end. He would willingly even lie close to you feeling you breathe as he holds you. Kissing your eyes, he will lovingly remind you that you’re never alone. Not while he’s around. He’s large and in charge of your happiness and will bend over backwards to get you to stop crying and reliving bad memories. He’d even be willing to do a strip tease letting you forget your meltdown. He’s wild like that. Or even go as far as silencing your cries with kisses, so tender and sweet you can’t resist. <3

Raiden:

Raiden is really sensitive to your emotions so he’s careful to not say anything as to pry at your wounds. He tries to calm you down in a lot of ways. The ABC’s of comfort if you will. He feels the need to stop the tears from falling down your face and dry them ASAP. He will cuddle you and hug you so much you can feel the electricity coursing through his body tickle you. Expect a downpour of kisses from your thunder god! And also, he might as well take the opportunity to turn you into a burrito with a blanket and make sure you’re comfy-cozy. He will make sure you’re hydrated making you drink lots of water to replenish the tears you shed. He’s very sweet to you and will do anything to get you to stop crying. He isn’t exactly human so he has lots to learn to comfort one. <3

Scorpion (Hanzo Hasashi):

“Come here…” This is his first statement seeing you a nervous wreck and crying. He gathers you close, and his above average warmth is soothing to you. He sits down with you in his lap, making a ring of fire around you and him so nothing gets too close. He kisses your tears away, making steam rise from your cheeks. He holds you tightly and his body heat makes you feel comfortable as he whispers how everything will be all right, and he’s here for you. He even summons a small low-level demon to fetch you things he knows you enjoy. <3

Liu Kang:

He goes full panic mode on the inside and tries frantically to figure out how to settle you down. He doesn’t like seeing you like this, at all. It bothers him more than you know, seeing you so fragile and falling apart to him. He tries to quiet you down with hugs and reassurances but it makes him worried sick about your well being, He turns into his dragon form (Animality) and snuggles you with his muzzle. Knowing you feel safe with him in his dragon form, he will bite anyone in two if they upset you more. Making you feel better is his priority, lighting candles with his abilities with fire and feeding you your favorite sweets. <3

(BONUS!)

Bo’ Rai Cho:

He sees that while a crying mess you are, grabs the all the sweets, rice wine and junk food he can find in the house, wraps you up in soft fleece blankets and makes a little cozy nest around you. Putting your head in his lap, you soon find his big tubby belly a soft pillow as he serves you that sweet alcohol. He accidentally farts now and again but its worth a laugh. He comforts you with silly puns and jokes as he strokes your hair, reminding you of the jovial and cute animal called a Tanuki, found in Japanese folklore. The tubby, drunken raccoon-dog yokai. He’s extremely caring and gentle with his words as he eases you back to a calmer state. Eventually you two find yourselves in tipsy laughter as if your meltdown never happened. <3

The DA: O crew as Overwatch players

Sten - Defaults to shot caller in team chat. Doesn't put up with flaming. Can't stand most arcade modes but loves total mayhem because it cranks the difficulty up. Usually ends up main tank but really likes Zarya when he can run her.

Oghren - Only plays comp, and only when completely shit faced. Talks smack in coms. Still somehow manages to get gold elims 50% of the time, but don't ask him what his kill to death ratio is.

Shale - Refuses to play Pharah or Echo on principal - too bird like. Finds no small amount of glee shooting them down as Soldier: 76 or McCree. Loves Wrecking Ball. Dead silent on mic but in team chat listening to calls.

Alistair - Plays Reinhardt every. Single. Match. Tries desperately to be a good main tank, but still accidentally ends up charging into Narnia when he gets overwhelmed. Cheers into the mic when he gets POTG.

Leliana - Generally positive in coms, but will complain about poor team comp or bad teammates after a match. Tends toward DPS like Ashe and Hanzo but can flex to support when needed, especially Brigitte. Emotes in spawn before marches and on the payload after a team kill.

Zevran - Tried Reaper first but found his play style inelegant. The most casual of casual players, until he isn't. Will wipe a team with Genji, Mei or Tracer. Always types "GG ; )" at the end of match. Don't challenge him to death match.

Morrigan - Tried it during a free weekend and hasn't touched it since. Claims she isn't interested in playing and has better things to do. Doesn't mention she accidentally melted her keyboard after being spawn sniped by Widow all match.

Wynne - The designated support main and happy about it. She finds Orisa and Zenyatta's friendship endearing and loves the dialogue between them in spawn. Plays casually but known to venture into comp when a bigger group is playing.

The Warden - Tries desperately to keep the team together even when it's a lost cause. They've managed to pull some flat out ridiculous recoveries during overtime. Has been dc-ed by their dog accidentally ripping out cables more than once.

Can i get Hanzo, Mccree and Gabe as dads?

 So I originally wasn’t gonna do this one, but I got HELLA inspiration from an rp I’m doing at the moment, so I think I can do it!!

Hanzo

He was so scared  when he found out you were pregnant. 

Having a not so great childhood growing up, he was worried what kind of father he was going to be. He wasn’t even sure he deserved to have a loving partner and now a child. 

He did vow that he would be a better father than the one he had, and promised you and his baby that he would do everything in his power to be better.

The day that you went into labor, he wasn’t allowed in the delivery room. He was a nervous wreck; for a man who rarely showed his true emotions, this was completely overwhelming for him. 

He paced outside the room for you, cringing at each scream you let out and each moan of pain. He was barely able to resist the urge to barge in there and make sure you were okay.

After 18 long, grueling hours, a nurse carefully made her way over to him, smiling. “Mr. Shimada?”

He turned, his whole body going still. 

“Are you ready to meet your daughter?” 

The nurse handed him the baby, a swaddled bundle of soft pink blankets. 

“She hasn’t made a peep.” The nurse murmured. “She must have known her daddy was waiting out here for her.” 

Hanzo carefully sunk to the floor, his entire body shaking, the baby carefully tucked into his arms. 

He leaned his head down, his hair falling around them both. He put his forehead to hers, small sobs wracking his body.

“I will move Heaven and Earth for you.” He whispered. “I will climb any mountain, swim any sea, brave any storm, if only to see your smile.” 

McCree

He was so excited when you first told him you were pregnant. 

He waited on you day and night, and got you any small request you wanted. You mentioned you wanted grapes? Boom, grapes were in your hands within ten minutes. You had seen this really cute stuffed bear you liked? Guess what was in your arms the next day?

He kept busy to try and distract himself from the fact that you were pregnant, despite getting literally anything you asked for. 

He was excited, but also worried that something would happen and you would lose the baby, and he would lose the chance to become a father. 

He was a worry wart; he went with you everywhere , even if you begged him not to.

Any little pinch of pain had him taking you to see Angela/Ana immediately. 

It was honestly kind of nice to see how much he cared.

The day you went into labor was the most terrifying day of his entire life.

He was allowed into the delivery room at first, but eventually he had to be removed because of how much he was fussing over you. 

After about ten hours of waiting, Ana made her way out to him with tears in her eyes. They had always been close; Ana was, in a way, his mother-figure.

“Jesse,” She said proudly, “Say hello to your son.” She handed Jesse the blue bundle. “He’s going to be a big boy. He weighed just over ten pounds.” She ruffled his hair, placing a small kiss on his cheek. “You’re going to be a wonderful dad. I’m so proud of you, Jesse.”

Jesse stared down at his boy, his bundle of pride and joy. 

“I love you before I even knew you.” He whispered.

Gabe

You and Gabe had been pregnant before, but unfortunately has lost the baby. 

So when you told Gabe you were pregnant again, the two of you felt an overwhelming amount of fear and dread that you would lose this baby too. 

Thankfully, your pregnancy went extremely smooth.

Gabe was so careful with you, which honestly pissed you off a little bit. 

You knew why he was being so protective, so you tried not to be super snappy with him.

You went into labour early, much earlier than either of you had expected.

When you went into labour early, Gabe was beyond terrified. 

He had finally allowed himself to be excited again, to look forward to the birth of his rainbow baby. 

But during the whole 9 hour labour, Gabe was a nervous wreck that something was going to happen, and that his child was going to be taken from him yet again. 

Until a nurse walked through the door, carrying a bundle of blue blankets.

“Mr. Reyes? You have a beautiful, healthy boy.” 

Gabe let out a breath of pure relief, rushing to the nurse to see his son. He was small, but thankfully not small enough that he was required to be kept in an isolette. 

Gabe held his son close to his chest, the final piece of his heart that was missing finally falling into place.

Back from my hiatus. I had to take a break after the drama unfolded. Sorry about that guys, will get around to responding to asks/messages ASAP! These are pretty trashy and not that great, but quick lightening headcanons! They are under the cut because long post!

·        Kabal; Pre-Burns; Very confident and suave. He’s very open and to the point about it. If he likesyou he likes you. It’s all relaxed. He tries to make you laugh and smilebeforehand, it’s what attracted to him to you in the first place. He’s sorelaxed and laid back. Will playfully toy with anything on your desk. He iridatesconfidence. But not so much in an arrogant way that it’s off putting. Post-Burns; He’s a nervous wreck. He’s more awkward and almost feels guilty for askingyou out. He’s not confident at all. All of the confidence burnt away when theaccident happened. He’ll fiddle and tear up a receipt, looking down at thefloor and not making too much eye contact. He’s glad you cannot see under hismask so that brings him some solace. When you say yes, he swears he’s hearingshit. So, he’ll ask you to repeat just to make sure his hearing isn’t fucked.He’s over the moon bless him.

·        Sub Zero(Kuai Liang); Windows error noise starts playing. That’s how you know. Because he has no ideawhat the fuck to do or say. On a serious note, it’s a very formal confession,with him pointing out what attracts him to you. Such as your tenacity,strength, loyality… your eyes. What did he just say? Nothing. It’s very sweetbut very formal and awkward. Bless him, he is fucking trying!

·        Smoke;Will use a book quote or something. It worked in his novel, so it can work inreal life! He’s shy but that doesn’t translate to Kuai Liang level awkwardness.He plants it out and he’s a nervous wreck come the day he actually confesses. Alot of smiling, him trying to get his words out and stumbling. But with thequote to describe his feelings, it comes out so naturally. Not as cheesy as you’dhave expected either.

·        Scorpion(Hanzo Hasashi);He’s done this once before. So why does he feel so nervous. He feels guiltyand torn. But he knows he cannot allow these feelings to creep up on him.

·        Bi-Han; ‘I’m hot, you’re hot. I’m smart, you’re smart. Together we are Hort.’ Theperfect match. He basically butchered the English language and confirmed loveis actually dead. On a serious note, he would be very forward about hisattraction and feelings towards you. He isn’t as shy and as reserved as hisbrother. But it will be done in privacy.

·        Rain; Another smug piece of shit. He will literally confess his attraction toyou, by mentioning himself and how he deserves someone beautiful and smart, andhow he see’s that in you. So, sort of a compliment, whilst also stroking hisego. Will ask you to be his queen. How could you say no to a demi-god. Willremind you that he is a demi-god in case you missed the last one thousand timeshe said it.

·        Raiden;Speaking of gods. Raiden is very shy and unsure about what he is saying. Hewas in two minds about taking Johnny and Kung Lao’s ideas and tips to heart. Inthe end, he confesses that he wasn’t sure gods could fall in love with wellanyone. Well, not on a romantic level anyway. But once more, mortals have surprisedhim, and he has fallen hard for you. It’s actually very sweet and well spoken.

·        Fujin; Windows has crashed, clippy the paperclip is here to help! He has no ideawhat he’s doing. He takes some advice to heart. Such as using a line, but heinstead will reference something a little less cheesy. He admits he neverreally had time to fall in love, but you came along and literally knocked himoff his feet… that and you like to play with his hair, he loves that. He’ll usea LOT of metaphors. He’s fucking trying okay.

·        Havik;He’s very forward with his feelings and confessing his attraction right offthe bat. ‘Hi there are you…’ ‘You are water’ It’s a compliment don’t worry. Hewill explain it in time. He’s very much a judge of character, if he thinksyou’re attractive and he has feelings for you, you are in for a rollercoasterof a fucking ride. Expect odd gestures, non-conventional displays of love. Andflowers. They aren’t the best and you’re sure their actually weeds, but he didtry to understand your courting rituals. In Chaosrrealm things are differentand he realises that won’t fly up here. He’s fucking trying, the funky chaoticman.

·        Baraka; I am so unsure if I have done this before. But I have mentioned that I HCthat Tarkatan displays of affection and attraction, are extremely physical andan event. He will show you he is attracted to you and has feelings, by takingpart in a tournament. Trying to impress you and show you he is worthy of you. Whenhe admits it, it’s not very mushy and feely. It’s kind of blunt and to thepoint. He doesn’t do sweet gestures, but he does do things is own way.

·        Hotaru;Had to fill out a form to be able to confess his attraction to you. But ona serious note, I did read that Seidan’s have to request to have relationships.So, he’s filled in forms to be with you and confess said love to you. He wentthrough a bureaucratic nightmare for you. If that isn’t love, then I don’t knowwhat is… then again, he probably liked it. Expect a lot of frilly words, a lotof comparing you to things like ‘Neatly stacked paper’ Which happens to be hisfav smell and sight. Before moving onto nicer things like flowers.

·        Cassie; She isn’t very open with her feelings at first. She has no idea what to door say. Johnny is cheesy, and Sonya has the emotional capacity of a teaspoon.She goes with just admitting how she feels, a little begrudgingly and straightto the point. When she sees you smiling and being relaxed, she relaxes andstarts confessing more. Like how she likes how you can have a laugh and relaxtogether. How she loves your eyes and your personality. She becomes softer asshe opens up.

·        Geras;Actually, surprisingly sweet, to say he hasn’t had much interaction besideKronkia and Frost. Who, lets face it, aren’t the best at emotions. He instead,takes a leaf (Bad pun) out of Cetrion’s book, and uses lovely flower and naturemetaphors to assist him… before figuring that isn’t the best way to do so.Instead, he’s very open and to the point. He always thought he would beeternally alone, but you came along and now he does not fear that. He looksforward to exploring the future with you at his side.

·        Sonya; At first, she comes up to you very serious. It’ll be just the two of you,in a meeting room alone. She then lightens up and says she’s joking, beforepulling out a beer and telling you you’re both off duty. She’ll open up to you,admitting that after Johnny she never really thought about the concept of‘love’. But you changed that. She honestly wants to try and make things workwith you, because she feels its time to move on and accept, that she actuallyhas emotions.  

·        JohnnyCage; He will use his movie quotes at first, but if that doesn’t work he’ll turn onhis charm and charisma. Since he’s matured a lot over the years, he feels he’sready to have a full-blown relationship. He’ll pull you to the side and slowlystart confessing how after his first marriage, he never really thought aboutmoving on. But now you’re making him question that decision. He’ll ask you ifyou fancy dodging the paparazzi and making his fans jealous together. He’llalso ask if you fancy being Hollywood royalty.

·        ErronBlack; Let’s face it Erron is the smoothest talking one here. He’ll be very sweetwhen confessing his attraction to you. He’ll be also smooth and suave andfluent with his words. He’ll elude confidence, not so much that it’soff-putting. He’ll use a lot of pet-names, mainly using ‘Sugar’ and ‘Darlin’He’ll talk about how he’s lived a long life before asking if you fancy beingapart of the rest of it.

I only just found the Ouihaw ship but I am already in love with it! What are some of your head canons for them?

OH uh !! i have a few but they are. not that interesting sorry ,,

- this isnt ouihaw specific but it is pertaining to ashe !! she’s got red eyes, which we’ve only seen happen with blackwatch genji and bc of the scars on his eyes we can just kind of assume they’re ocular implants/prostheses bc hanzo probably. wrecked his eyes.  anyways I’ve seen p widely accepted theories that Ashe has some level of albinism/achromasia and in humans that often means poor eyesight and light sensitivity, which....wouldn’t really bode well for a sniper that operates in the desert? so my theory surrounding that is that she had surgery or the same operation that genji did when his eyes were replaced or fixed, although hers was probably from a young age and so the tech was a bit more crude and so while genji’s eyes appear brown again (im. going off of the dragons short so i might be way off time wise), hers are still red. i’m also sure she thinks they look cool and intimidating so she’s not very bothered. 

- amélie’s body temperature is super low (which we know) and ashe runs hot naturally so they’re the perfect thermal equilibrium couple. they can cuddle no matter the season even if amélie’s cold, cold hands wake up ashe sometimes, but it’s also a surefire way to get ashe out of bed. also they hold hands a lot :) 

- amélie’s a super light sleeper but ashe sleeps like a rock. most of the time amélie will just start the day early when she wakes up first but sometimes she just lies there just to stay with her because when ashe wakes up she always just smiles real slowly and pulls her in for a kiss 

- but normally she wakes up earlier and showers and makes breakfast for herself. she makes coffee and brings a mug up to ashe and leaves it on her bedside table to wake up to. 

- ashe does all sorts of solo runs for deadlock, but she always goes out of her way to get something for amélie, like silk scarves or jewelry or special teas or coffee or sweets, especially dark chocolate (which is the best kind and i will not be accepting criticisms on that, ever)

- this one is really just me projecting but ashe is quite the rider and she has her own private place where the rest of deadlock isn’t allowed to go to or know the location of (except a few very high ranking members, and also, a certain cowboy) and it’s a ranch. she’s got cattle and horses and she trains them herself and she’s a reining champion. her show pony is named Ghosttown Gunsmith (which i saw on a sign driving to campus, which i immediately decided would be a hell of a name for a racehorse or just a registered name), and she won’t let anyone even handle her, except for bob and amélie.

-  amélie asks abt the brands on the cattle and ashe explains their purpose and amélie looks down and kind of. rubs her arm and goes quiet. ashe thinks nothing of it but that night as theyre getting ready for bed amélie says v quietly that the  tattoo on her back and the one on her arm were ones that were given to her by talon, and she didn’t remember getting them but that they existed as ways to remember that she was widowmaker, and she belonged to talon, and she feels like she was branded by them. and she asks ashe if she feels the same about her deadlock tattoo, and ashe can’t even reply because she’d never thought about it until then.

- ashe is pretty expressive and while she’s a good poker player she doesn’t have much of a poker face, but amélie hides her emotions super super well but she’s not very good at poker. 

- ashe is fluent in french bc her mother wanted her to be from a young age. ashe also kind of hates french but hates it less bc she and amélie can speak it around others and they (usually) don’t understand

More than once, he’s brought a broken soul to you for help and a bit of fixing up

A kind, strong-willed soul yourself, you take these challenges in stride

When he gets home from traveling and you’re still at work, he’ll meet you outside the compound to reunite and perhaps to go on a date before heading home

Not being together as often makes the reuniting and the time you do spend together that much sweeter

Whether or not you’re a medic means very little in the relationship

The biggest thing is that he’s hella respectful of your workplace

To the point where, if you wanted a kiss, you’d probably have to convince him that “Hanzo, it’s fine, I’m on break, no one c a r e s”

“Hanzo, you are allowed to come into the med bay, it’s a public area”

“Hanzo, you literally came to pick me after work. There’s no one here, you’re allowed to hold my hand.”

At least he’s respectful, though

Once he got injured pretty badly on the field and while he was high on pain meds dude was the most affectionate and touchiest he’s ever been in his lifetime

When he has to leave for shows or tours, he always tidies up the house and stocks the fridge and whatnot so you don’t have to worry about that stuff while he’s gone, at least for a while

While on the road he always sends you clips from shows and videos of him singing to you, and sometimes just “miss you!” selfies

Speaking of that, he almost always pulls you into dancing around the house when you get home from work

Thinks being a medic is a great and hella respective profession

But will also totally take advantage of it to spend time with you

Usually, he doesn’t like to go to the med bay unless he absolutely has to

Comes in even with minor injuries

Calls you or shows up when he’s been drinking a little to much or got into a scuffle with some douche

You can’t exactly complain; he’s taking better care of himself than he ever has in the past

All under the idea of just doing it to see you

Not to mention, being in a small, enclosed area with a pretty shirtless cowman who continuously compliments and flirts with you isn’t often an unwanted event

However, if you’re busy during his drop-by, he often tries to put the facade back up and leave again

The other medics have learned to hold him hostage until you’re free again, unless it’s something serious

Does his best to make sure life outside of work is lighthearted and comfortable as he can, though there’s still the occasional scuff

Tries to keep in tune with your emotions during and after work so he doesn’t overstep and make life worse for you

Never bothers you at work, which is probably a little disappointing on occasion during times where you’re free for lunch and your breaks line up

However, you can’t really be mad

You’re often the one going and checking up on him when you have free time

You bring him snacks and water and the like on breaks if you can track him down

Does his best to comfort and soothe you in his own quiet way

This mainly involves cuddling and massages and ordering good food

Then there’s the days you come home with fire in your eyes, overflowing with pride as you talk about your work

He knows he doesn’t have to be too worried when he sees you like that

Finds your work very honorable and respects it a lot

Probably told you this when the two of you first met and that’s what caught your attention

Thinks much more highly of you than himself

He probably catches you in the hall during work or pops in when he sees you free through the med bay window, but otherwise doesn’t often bother you during work

Occasionally takes you to lunch or walks with you to the cafeteria if he’s too busy to eat lunch that day

The two of you kind of take turns taking care of each other

Helping each other through everyday stresses and making sure you’re both treating yourselves healthily

Similar with Genji, Zenyatta’s travels and your busy schedule make spending time together difficult on occasion

His permanent home is a sanctuary, so you’re often not alone with him either way

Plus there’s various pleasant, relaxing things to do there, such as meditate or tending to the gardens or simply chatting with the visiting people and sharing a bite

Regardless of how frequently the two of you are physically together, you keep in touch

A constant stream of letters and when he has the time and service, Zenyatta often calls to check up on you

Tries to always call in the morning, on your lunch, and at night but different time zones and both of your works being pretty fluid, that’s not always possible

If you want some time truly alone together, your place is the spot to go

17 - Who’s your favorite NPC

It’s between Efi and Maximilian. Efi because I love the raw chaos an 11 year old genius building a robot just to wreck one man brings to the table, and Maximilian because of the pure eroticism a shitty Robot man in a suit offers.

At the end of the day, I’m probably going to go with Efi, just because she makes Doomfist even more entertaining as a concept. His “your doing great sweetie” attitude as she builds a robot specifically to kick his ass is quality content.

20 - Who deserves a new skin and what would you design for them?

Baptiste?? Baptiste has, like, no good skins. Talon and Pirate might be his only decent ones and even then they’re not great?? I’ve seen people mention a life guard Baptiste skin, and that’s all well and good, but I’m such a sucker for causal skins.

Let Baptiste wear a hawaiian shirt, some shorts, and some flippy-floppies and I’ll be happy. Let him chill. He deserves it.

I was wondering what's your take on the kombat krew having to deal with s/o being held for ransom, fighter or non-fighter is up to you!

Hey, anon! For this one, I may say their fighting ability wouldn’t matter much, but for now, let’s assume they’re non-fighters. This is really interesting and I haven’t written an hc like this before…so get ready!

Scorpion/Hanzo: *inhales* How do I say this gently? This kombatant would teleport to wherever his significant other is, slicing and dicing anyone in his way with his katana and would be like “GET OVER HERE!” when he sees his love. At least that what we’d wager Scorpion would do…hehe…*scratches head*.We could tell you more about how Hanzo would handle this predicament. It would be an extremely emotional experience as well as a triggering one. I don’t care how hardened Scorpion looks with his mask and his rope spear. When it comes to affection seldom does he let people into seeing that side, so love is a rarity. And someone is threatening to take all of that away from him? Taking away your presence is enough but the knowledge of the possibility that he wouldn’t see your smile again breaks him. That is before it infuriates him. He is in a mode where you come first. Himself and his clan are the last things on his mind as Hanzo knows loss, and he damn sure isn’t letting something like that happen again.

Sub-Zero/Kuai Liang: He’s shaken up the situation and almost has a lack of reaction. He distances himself from his emotions because Kuai knows himself well…he’s a worrier (dude would have an iPhone case for his iPhone case). He worries so much despite appearing as calm, cool and collected and practicing meditation regularly. He’s just used to hiding his vulnerability like that and it can easily be confused with insensitivity, but he tries to handle the situation as rationally as possible. He’ll start with a reasonable bargain or two, risking his most prized possessions and secrets in exchange for you in attempt to pay the ransom. But if push comes to shove, he will be willing to get down and dirty if it means having you back at the temple safe and sound.

Kabal: You wouldn’t have to tell him twice to save you. Pre burns, he would be especially furious making sure to make who’d ever dare hurt you suffer. In this stage in his life, he is mighty reckless, so like Hanzo, his own safety has been thrown out and obliterated. Again he is reckless, so he’s in a point in his life where he doesn’t understand the value of the little things, your presence included. After the experience, he bonds to you like glue. Post burns his approach is more different. He isn’t just pissed. He wouldn’t know what he would do if you got hurt…or worse. He would fight for you in a heartbeat but knows there is safety in numbers. Though the black dragon go by a certain code or lack thereof, he’d pay off and pawn anyone he’d have to before paying the jerk who stole you (only if he knew it’d grant him assistance). After the experience post burns Kabal is also more affectionate, but this time he knows that if he has you, he’s definitely a man with something to lose.

Brokeback Mountai – Err I mean McCree – No! Erron Black: Someone had the goddamn audacity to not only steal you, but put you in harms way in the means of money??! Let me tell you something…they have fuckarood with the wrong cowboy as anyone who crosses Erron black should be “as jumpy as spit on a hot skillet” (the cowboy’s words not mine). Little known fact, Erron can be quite the hothead, like almost scorpion level hothead. If you have his love, expect it to be real and intense, but if it’s the opposite of that…hoo buddy is he a force to be reckoned with. In his long life, he has never met someone like you, someone who has slowly taught him that the world isn’t just black and white. Though you’re not as old as him, you’ve exposed him to so many colors, flavors, and textures that life isn’t the same without you. You are his light. And he’ll be damned if he didn’t fight for that.

Kung Lao: The snarkiness has evaporated. The fun and games are just his surface, as he has learned to smile through the painful moments in his life and when things seem the most dire, find something to boost morale. He always loved making you smile. Though you weren’t some defenseless princess, he would remember a running joke between the two of you when he’d tell you that he’d be the Mario to your Princess Peach (regardless of gender). But it is no doubt that he’d rescue you from that castle from Bowser. When the situation calls for it Kung Lao knows when it’s time to grow up and swallow his pride as he’s already fairly disciplined from being a monk. Going off that, he doesn’t particularly enjoy hurting people even if they’re bad. Should there be any physical altercations in the way of collecting you, he will knock out or wound, but killing would be the last resort. He’d be lying if he said he wasn’t afraid. For himself and for his beloved.

Jade: Jade is someone who is loyal and kind to the end and that means she will be extra protective, but not to the point where it’s suffocating. When she learns you are being held for ransom, she tries her best to keep cool like Sub-Zero. She has so much love for you that if she let her emotions get in the way of what she has to do, she’d be a wreck. She was an assassin after all and very professional and knows exactly how to handle the matter at hand. She’s also extremely smart, so she may not even need to get her hands dirty. But if she did, you would be more than worth it, as you’re irreplaceable to Jade.

Mileena: Much like Erron, whether Mileena loves or hates you, expect the relationship to be intense. She is probably the most possessive out of the bunch. Because of her femininity, (particularly with her mask on) Mileena is not perceived as much of a threat, but this Tarkatan queen would start a massacre over you. The people holding you for ransom knew what they were getting into for taking the lover of Mileena (and if they don’t she will definitely show them) and will get you back by any means necessary and then some. But fret not, as they will get exactly what they deserve as she firmly holds, the eye for an eye belief (and so what if the world goes blind? Kenshi exists and he’s just fine). After the experience, she’s much more protective and will treat you like absolute royalty.
