being a jujutsu sorcerer and a parent rarely ends well. sorcerers who have to fight for their lives everyday barely have any time and energy even for themselves. adding babies to the picture is hard to imagine.

but gojo was determined to balance his work and personal life when you entered his life, which is why he has a baby girl strapped to his chest as he holds up his hand and crosses his fingers, already to send a special grade curse into his domain.

"daddy~" his baby babbles, cheek squished against his purple uniform.

"yes, baby?" gojo smiles down at his baby and gently sweeps her hair out of her eyes. he pays little to no attention to the curse, who had already spread out their domain and is currently sending wave after wave of attacks, all of which gojo repels with a touch. "this is domain expansion," he gently explains to her, smirking at the curse who is obviously offended that he wasn't taking them seriously. "in a second, you're gonna see daddy's domain."

his baby blinks and shuffles around in the strap, whining a bit as she tries to get comfortable. for all she knows, it's too dark and hot and she misses mommy's smell.

before she knows it, the space around her begins to look like the night sky, and she can't see the curse anymore.

"this is my domain," her daddy says, but she misses seeing the sun. why is it nighttime all of the sudden?

"nooo" she whines as she kicks around. where's the ice cream he promised her earlier? and where is mommy? she doesn't want to go to sleep yet!

"not easily impressed, hm?" he laughs, protectively holding his baby's head against his chest as he closes up his domain after finishing off the curse.

"let's go get ice cream, yeah?" he ruffles her hair and holds up her hands, dancing them up in the air with a huge grin. the sunlight hits her face again and a smile quickly reappears. "you did so good today. did you learn a lot about jujutsu fights today? did'ja enjoy our little adventure together?"

"ice cweam" she smiles, doing a few happy kicks. and that's how the tradition of getting ice cream after missions started for the daddy-daughter pair.

I know this is just beating a dead horse at this point but good god Warriors really does have so many opportunities to write all kinds of different complex tales and relationships, even just as shorts, and it makes me so so sad. Even just the smaller things, the ones that almost hilariously ignore the bigger plot going on around them.

We all know Breezepelt, but I personally wanna know about his kids! I want to know what kind of father he is to four whole daughters. He’s the guy known for having daddy issues, is he a terrible father? Is he just an okay one? Is he genuinely trying really hard to be good? I want to know!

What about the aftermath of Brokenstar’s reign? What happened to the apprenticed kits who survived the ordeal? Did they remain as paws but had an extended training time? Were they put back in the nursery and expected to just go on knowing what the outside world looked like until moons later? What about the apprentices named before they were adults, were they changed back to paws? What kind of generational trauma did ShadowClan carry from Brokenstar, from all the children who died and all the ones who grew up much too fast?

Dawnpelt was known for mainly one thing: the cat who believed, wholeheartedly, that Jayfeather killed Flametail. She is now also the mother of Sleekwhisker, a Darktail obsessed villain, Juniperclaw, who briefly joined Darktail, poisoned prey, and is now dead and guarding the border between StarClan and the Dark Forest. And then there’s Strikestone, who joined Darktail for a bit but then didn’t do much else except also die. Thats two children dead, one who is denied redemption despite his willingness to, and a third child whos very murderous. Does that not fuck someone up, at least a little?

Pouncestep is my personal favorite simply because she has become the background character in a family of main characters. Lightleap is slowly getting a little bit of spotlight thanks to Blazefire, but Pouncestep is just...there. Literally what is her life even like, watching all her important family members deal with the worst thing ever five times a week. Is she minding her own business. I hope she’s just vibing. I want a calm short with her ignoring all the plot.

Moonkitti brought this up already, but she was so right for it, cause...what about all the cats named in honor of the dead? Hollytuft? Sorrelstripe? Fernsong? Even new Bristlekit and Stemkit, and so many more---does that not mess with a cat? We know it messed with Nightheart, and while being named after and related to Firestar I’m sure does some things to a dude, we have other cats who do look eerily similar to who they’re named after. Lets not even start with Cinderheart. With this naming tradition becoming more and more common, one has to wonder if ThunderClan is gonna be filled to the brim with cats that have some INSANE identity issues.

#villains are destined to die #i can't help it he has a character design that hits all of my likes T_T #in all seriousness though i do like all of the Eckharts for different reasons #Reynold after the attic scene where he has a moment of realization and does start to truly look out for Penny #and his hatred of her was understandable - he was 14 years old his little sister was missing a lookalike was brought in to be his new siste #and the lookalike prays that the og sister is never found/is already dead #that is a very good reason to become resentful! #meanwhile the duke is just neglectful. and knows he's neglectful and tries to (originally) make up for it #by letting Penny buy what she wants and run wild #but once he's forced to also come to terms with how he's been treating his daughter #you start to see that he's well aware of how he's messed up and he does actually really care about Penny as a daughter #and striving to do better #(i get the feeling that unlike Derrick he genuinely did not know the details of the incident with Emily) #meanwhile Derrick is..... Derrick. i love him but i also want to stab him #but the really biggest tragedy of it all is the isekai element #where the heroine finds out that while Penny's family was awful to her they are not as awful as her own #and are capable of treating her the way an adopted daughter should have been treated #but Penelope will never receive those affections and the heroine will never get this kind of closure from her own family

Currently thinking about Sparrow dooming an entire world to suffer and die to "protect his family". ya know, the family where he forced his daughter when she was very young to murder animals with her bare hands, his son who was a unwanted pregnancy and ended up hating because he was too unapologetically himself/not easy to control and his brother who fucked his wife for years and knowingly hurt him. And finally his father who he has never respected or liked and has felt neglected and made helpless by.

What happened with the flesh monster Normal released was obviously incredibly bad. But considering that it was in containment already, they clearly have beaten it before already. This wasn't some hopeless fight where Sparrow had no choice by to enact Code Purple. He just didn't want to have to put the hard and painful work of fixing his and brother's mistake.

It's why Lark never told anyone what The Doodler really was, it's why Hero was born, it's why they betrayed Nicky and it's why Sparrow committed genocide. Because it's easy. If they knew that The Doodler was just a scared child that desperately needed help then that means We Have To Help It and that's more complicated then killing it. Hero was born as a copout so the twins wouldn't have to fix this themselves and could just sacrifice their daughter instead. Nicky and Code Purple was just their way of shoving all this responsibility under the rug and getting to pretend that if they can't see it then it's not real anymore.

None of this was ever about Family or protection. It was always Lark and Sparrow trying to find a way to make this no longer their problem. The twins have always been selfish and violent. At at the end of they day they were both adults when they made all these choices and as painful and unfair as it is when you've been through trauma, you have to fix that shit yourself. You can't keep blaming your childhood or parents, you can't keep the cycle going and going on forever just because you're family didn't break it first.

I just........... he's probably been doing it since she was little too, cuz she's always reminded him of you. No matter how much people talk about her being his carbon copy, the way she pouts, stares, and yells at him is alllllll you.

And he never does or has ever done anything big or torturous, just like... poke at her and then pretend it wasn't him, or steal carrots off her plate when she's distracted at dinner... but the way she'll glare makes him sooooo soft inside (in his own bakugo way, ofc).

When she was smaller, joking with her was kinda fun because he’d always get to hold her and make things all better again… but now that she’s a teenager it’s probably not as easy to make her laugh or smile again after getting her favorite PJ pants all dirty with muddy, hose water.

Still, for every little fight they get in (that’s mostly just her snapping at him while he admires how strong she’s gotten and how much she’s grown to look like you)… he still always makes it up to her with bowls of fruit in warm afternoons or big scoops of ice cream delivered straight to her room after dinner.

Adorable is so right!!! They just love each other so much, is all😭😭😭

Lilith is by far the more emotionally involved parent with Charlie, Luci hit the depression thing really hard and kind of like, forcibly kept himself out of Charlie's life Never Love An Anchor by The Crane Wives style, hes afraid of being like HIS parent (god) and being too controlling so he ended up being absent instead.
