As the hydra's heads continue to devour the seaside cattle, a hidden triton warrior raises her bow. A quick whistle echoes across the water, and ten sets of eyes look her way. A flurry of arrows with the cold of the depths sink themselves deep into each of those ten heads, and the Wavestrider swims back to her underwater home.

I have always felt that a ocean or water-themed Ranger is loss since overdue. I hope this scratches that itch for folks who feel the same! I focused on motion and distance, which seems fitting and also something else that is missing from the current roster. the changes to the dnd game license are SUCH a perfect example of corporate greed. imagine having such a huge and dedicated fanbase buying your product that podcasts spring up for it, and instead of recognising how lucky you are for that free publicity you try to claim 25% of their profits - which will almost certainly prevent many creators from using 5e as their game of choice. and then, on top of that, you implement an anti-homebrew policy.

Ttrpg searching

I once again find myself returning. I am looking to start two different tabletop groups, both of which I would like to run as podcasts.

Ttrpg 1:

This tabletop would be played Sunday mornings, 9am-12pm est. It will be using the D&D (Dungeons & Dragons) handbook. It will be homebrew, in world and lore, some rules, some races and classes. 19-26 age range, please. Be LGBTQ+ friendly. And be ready for some sensitive topics to be mentioned. I'm looking for about six players.

This tabletop will be played Monday nights, 8-10pm est. The rulebook I have personally written and will provide to the players. It will be set in the modern world (our world) with the premise of a college surrounded in mystery, with Gods, supernatural beings, and demigods. With some time traveling shenanigans. 19-26 age range please. Be LGBTQ+ friendly. And be ready for some sensitive topics to be mentioned. I'm looking for about six players.

someone please look at this the pdf was a huge ass and a half to download because google docs doesnt allow you to download docs of a certain size as a pdf which. god. someone help me. I had to upload two seperate docs and then stitch them back together like victor frankenstein if victor frankenstein was asian and deeply stupid. it also meant i couldnt put in page numbers. how do people do this shit man.

As the beholder cackles, a shimmering violet portal begins to slowly open in the underground chamber. The elven woman grabs her dagger, and seemingly drops it carelessly from the rafters. The beholder laughs, but in a flash of rainbow the dagger becomes a flourish of movement and the elf lands on her feet, wiping the blood from her blade.

I am working on putting together another large collection of material, this time a wide variety of subclasses, and this is the first! A rogue companion to horizon walker ranger, I have always found the interplanar guardian subclasses to be very interesting. hey thanks for pointing out those 2 things about the bladeborn, im trying to actually think of how you could get some form of armor and i want your opinion on what sounds better -Reinforcements that take smithing tools to attach and cost the same as the armor they give the equivalent ac to, does kinda not make sense what the different of half plate and plate is on a sword though

-any + enchantment on whatever enchantment you currently have also adds to armor class as long as you are not puppeteering anything, does kinda make it hard to be any heavy armor focused class though

Some potential solutions re: Bladeborns and armor:

1. Similar to barding for animals, armor can be modified to suit you. Could potentially be flavored as reinforcement or a special scabbard, though you're right that it kinda falls apart if you ask what the difference between different armor types is. Not to mention a good number of weapons wouldn't use scabbards, like bows. A "work with your DM to determine the presentation of this feature" wouldn't hurt.

2. Flat AC from your race, similar to Tortle, makes a decent amount of sense, given that most weapons are primarily made of metal and designed to clash with other weapons. Tortle isn't exactly a shining star of balance, but that's more because of how it interacts with casters, which the Bladeborn isn't synergistic with (kinda hard to hold a focus without hands). Being unable to benefit from most magic armors designed for martials is kind of a bummer, though.

3. Natural armor, scaling with either Dex or Con (as with Lizardfolk), could work - forces you to at least invest a bit for the benefits of AC. Similar problems with magic items remain, however. Actually, given that youre a sentient weapon, you also have similar problems with magic weapons as well - other people could be getting handed Flametongues and Frostbrands and you're stuck just being a normal sword. Perhaps the ability to absorb/transform into other magic items that you attune to in order to gain their benefits? Probably want to be careful with how that works, but that's not an uncommon trope for cursed weapons. Also, trying to possess a weapon that's already sentient might run into some. Interesting issues.

4. Possibly in conjunction with any of the above options, an AC bonus based on how many hands it takes to wield your chosen weapon? All else being equal, you're basically forced to go for a two-handed weapon since you (presumably) can't dual wield or use a shield without hands, which forces you to go for a Strength build. If you want to be a flying rapier, getting a +2 AC to mimic the benefits of a shield would be nice. Though then you can do something cheesy like Great Weapon Fighting style on a longsword, effectively letting you benefit from both a two-handed weapon and a one-handed one simultaneously... Might need a stipulation that you can only wield yourself in one "hand" to get that bonus then?

oh sorry i missed this. it rhymes with dancer and is abt robots, ppl were mad it has a post-scarcity fallacy government thing going on. i love the game bc the robots are extremely cool and the combat allows a lot of player expression and i appreciate something approaching worldbuilding in space. and like, if u hate the funny Dutopia government, make yr plot be overthrowing it, or working against it, or whatever. it's just structures.

#Homebrew on the 3DS took a while. #While Flashcards like Gateway were already Possible #through a combination of two Cards #One that installs an Extremely Large String in the DS Modes Status #And another that abuses the Now compromised 3DS to run Pirates Software. #However this Exploit could not install Homebrew. #Homebrew without Hardware Modification only became Possible shortly before the New 3DS Release. #Through an Exploit named Ninjhax. #This Exploit abused an Major Vulnerability in the Terrible 3DS Game Cube Ninja. #Cube Ninja was a Game that was mostly played using the Gyro Sensors #and it included a Level Creator that would save Levels as QR-Codes that you could share. #However there was no Limit on the Size that these Levels could have. #So using an Custom QR-Code The Game generated an Ridiculously Large Level #that Compromised the Console to the Point that First Homebrew Became possible. #Cube Ninja quickly became the most sold game on the eShop #before Nintendo took it down that is. #Eventually Ninjhax became Obsolete with the discovery of easier and more powerful Exploits. #But thats a Story for another Time.
