Zeus: Hades, man! Come join us in tormenting this Odysseus guy!
Poseidon: Yeah, he's coming to your kingdom next. It's your turn now!
Hades: I don't know, seems a little unethical-
Persephone: *pushes Hades aside* Sounds fun! Can I join?

I will never understand how Odysseus has all the braincells while also having none of them at the same exact time. He is an amazing war general and is insanely smart but has the attention span of a rat fuelled by the need to cause chaos simply because he is bored. He can't listen to one thing while getting distracted by the thing he was specifically told not to touch.

what if the odyssey read like doctor seuss like. Tell me O Muse! Of a many-deviced man who wandered full many ways, and liked green eggs and ham.

no because literally, icarus is such an emotionally charged story. bro spends his life trapped, longing for escape, and when his father finally invents one, he struggles to maintain the perfect balance between the sky and the ground. even in his freedom, there are conditions, and they are arguably more limiting than those he endured during his captivity. not to mention the fact that his father's freedom is on the line as well. he's got so much riding on him, and little to no guidance on the matter

AITA for killing 108 men then insulting their parents?
I know the title looks bad but let me explain, l(45M) am married to my wife(45F), Penelope. After a war, l tried to reunite with her, it took me 20 years but l got back to my home in Ithaca. When l arrived there, 108 men were not only trying to marry my wife by claiming my death but also eating my food and disrespecting my son(21M). I was wearing a beggers disguise thanks to my patron goddess(??F) but l revealed myself to my son and we reunited. l talked with my wife and she held a contest to see who would string my bow and shoot through 12 axes, she then went to sleep and l won the contest. After winning l got rid of the disguise and started to kill the suitors with my son, then l reunited with my wife but the suitors' parents were upset. Then my patron goddess came and convinced the parents not to kill me, after they obeyed her(like a little bitch) l started to make fun of them and my dad(idkM) said l was being disrespectful, so AITA?

Odysseus: *Gets Palamedes framed and stoned to death after he threatened his son*
My reaction: "Damn, I wonder who he got that from-"
Athena: *Drives greater Ajax mad to the point that he kills a bunch of sheep before then killing himself all because he was hostile towards Odysseus.*
My reaction: "Oh, that's who"
