Mika Schmidt Headcannons

y'all

This guy is giving me so much brainrot. So suffer. Here we go, Headcannons.

Mika covers for his brother. Yes, he does. In his letters to his parents, he'll say that Huffman is nice, that Huffman does his responsibilities and that he even does some of Mika's chores sometimes. When he was younger, he'd use stories he heard from the other kids for things to tell his parents - oh, Huffman took me to the ice cream place today! We went on a picnic today! Of course, it was never true.

Only those closest to Mika can ever sense the fake smile he gives when talking about his family. don't get me wrong, he LOVES his family, but the fact his parents left to go adventuring and the resulting actions that led to Mika raising himself AND his older brother (who was supposed to be letting him be a child instead of worrying about taking care of a drunk brother all the time) leaves him with a feeling of emptiness.

He overcompensates his own lack of childhood by letting Klee have as much fun as she could dream of. He's yet another big brother to her, who'll let her blow up the landscape of Mondstadt and wordlessly change the maps of Mondstadt with a soft smile.

He feels unworthy of his achievements, and those feelings only intensified when Varka took him on the expedition. And although he gained more confidence on the trip, he's still too nervous to stop the nasty rumors that spread claiming he fought a fatui harbinger head on (he didn't, Varka had remained calm and settled the tension between the two groups)

He pays all the bills. Obviously, his parents send home Mora every now and then, but his checks from the Knights of Favonius go straight into the household. After all, his brother is wasting all his money getting drunk...

Sometimes he lets Diona come over to de-stress over the fact her dad is a raging alcoholic. Although they don't talk often, they have a closer connection to each other because of the fact their families suck.

He makes Bennett maps everytime he goes out, and always has a few extras in case Bennett looses them, or ruins them, or his bad luck does SOMETHING to them.

He helps supply Timmie the amount of money needed for all the bird seed he feeds the pigeons on the bridge.

My guy is so precious and depressed and anxious and Mika angst is now my favorite thing okay bye

a yandere!huffman

he has an awful character trait of being dense, which is just made so much worse on a yandere- you know he doesn’t connect things as fast as other people, if at all, but is that really the case for all these murders, or is he only pretending to be obtuse?

huffman has an absolutely stellar reputation. barbara says he never crosses boundaries and doesn’t get carried away, kaeya says he’s quite serious (maybe too serious?) over important matters, and albedo outright says he’d spend half a day sketching huffman. everyone likes huffman (which albert abuses a little, boldly proclaiming the barbara fan club has him as a member). on top of that, he’s a knight of favonius, protecting the people of mondstadt. he’d never hurt a citizen… right?

huffman, ever reliable, would never abuse his authority or his good reputation to get away with slaughtering a travelling merchant that looked the wrong way at you. the slight smirk and roving eyes and hands that were clearly being held down by thin strings of self control just rubbed him the wrong way, is all. so what if he’s a merchant that regularly transports wine back to liyue? he shouldn’t have let himself be distracted. it’s his own fault.

killing men gets a little harder if they have a vision. doesn’t mean he won’t do it, though! they’re probably good people- he just can’t risk them hurting you, is all. and any man that’s not him will hurt you. they don’t know what you like, or what you don’t like, or how you work. only he understands you, just like how only he would be your perfect other half. he’ll just have to, well, lure them outside the walls and slit their throat. throw them into the lake. and make sure you don’t find his own personal graveyard, of course.

the captains start to notice that a large amount of people are dying within mondstadt territory, but they can’t seem to figure out the pattern. that’s fair- they don’t notice the things he does. nimrod has a wife- the next time huffman spots his eyes on you is the time he signs his death warrant. you mention you’re a little worried about all the killings. huffman tells you that he’ll never let anything happen to you. you flush a little and he thinks about how lovely it would be to wake up to your cute face every morning.

it might’ve been hard in the beginning, but albedo was far too trusting with giving away his alchemy knowledge. punishing those who saw fit to hurt you takes a little bit of violence to be effective, you know? he doesn’t see anything wrong with it. after all, he is your knight in shining armour.

Mika Headcannons pt.2

Since y'all enjoyed the last one so much, I got some more Mika brainrot today.

He helps Noelle with her duties. Like, all the time. Mika needs to be doing something, or else he'll feel his depression and anxieties, so on his off time he's helping Noelle clean up around Headquarters, or stack boxes, or clean shoes.

He doesn't like others cooking. I know in his voicelines he says that they always take turns after plucking petals from a flower, but this kid feels bad when others cook for him.

He tried to run away before, but ran into Razor. Ever since the two have been pretty good buddies, going on adventures with Bennett, Fischl, and Mona. He still wants to run away often, but he'll never say so out loud.

Mika has to be called into Angel's Share to pay off his brother's tab occasionally, usually using money that he'd saved up to buy himself something. Curses to that brother.

He feels a bit jealous of Collei, because her struggles were visible, and who is he to complain when all he feels is inside? He doesn't use a sword because he's scared he'll hurt himself on purpose - using a spear and a crossbow make it hard to.

He feels unheard. Like, all the time. He's just a quiet, sad lil boy. The weight of expectations suffocate him, the burden of taking care of Huffman suffocates him, everything suffocates him. But he has no one to turn to for help

Not as good as the last ones, ngl I'm just waiting for genshin 3.6 maintence to finish so I can try and get Layla. Enjoy
