thinking about noble bell college’s uniforms
In the story event Glorious Masquerade, the NRC guests fight fire lotuses/crimson flowers, which are depicted in battle like so:
As you can see, the flowers are in red robes. This design appears to be an intentional callback to the red robes of the worshippers that chant in the song Hellfire:
Idia comments that the fire lotuses/crimson flowers “wormed their way into some of the [NBC] students’ robes”. He then theorizes that there must be lingering magic in the robes which attracts the flowers, whether that magic is from the mages that once wore them or imbued in the cloth of the robes themselves. The latter is true of NRC’s ceremonial robes (and their dorm uniforms, as we learn in book 6).
Just looking by at the ceremonial robes vs the red robes, they’re similarly shaped—though of course NRC’s are much more elaborate, given that their school is larger, more prestigious, and likely received more funding. NBC’s robes are a plain solid color and appear to be longer in length (though maybe it just seems that way because the flowers are low to the ground??? It’s hard to gauge scale).
Since Idia brings up a potential comparison between NRC’s ceremonial robes and NBC’s red robes, I wonder if those red robes are NBC’s equivalent of ceremonial robes?? Like, is that what NBC students wear for important events or when they’re representing their school…? Because if that’s the case, I swear I didn’t seen any NBC mobs or the student council wearing it to receive their guests.
The only prominent red I see on their outfits looks too short to be the same red robes the flowers crawled into… It looks more like a shawl or caplet with a hood, and it’s not quite the right color (more maroon than red)… Maybe it’s the lighting?? It could be the same as the red robes, it could not be 😣 I’m not sure!
Something else I noticed is everyone seems to wear the same uniform except for Rollo, which makes sense given his position as student council president. Their school only has one prominent historical figure they look to, so that’s probably reflected in a lack of dorms. Azul likens Rollo’s position to the status of dorm leader, so it feels like a variation of a dorm leader uniform while the NBC mobs wear a more generic “dorm uniform”.
If these standard clothes and the red robes are two separate outfits, then I’d wager both are like NRC’s dorm uniforms and ceremonial robes respectively (ie NBC’s uniforms and robes are also infused with magic). So… uh… if that’s true, I wonder if Rollo’s skin crawls whenever he has to wear his school uniforms… 💀

Kuma Gives A Great Shut Up Hannibal Response To Saint Saturn
He might have still been a kid, but he understood the messed up world they lived in already and he was doing everything in his power to change it one way or another. It's almost as good as Esmerelda's speech against Frollo where they bravely stand up against a bigoted pos who talks about justice yet is cruel to those who are in most need of their help.

What are some of the important differences between The Hunchback of Notre Dame by Victor Hugo and Disney's animated version?
In the novel, Claude Frollo is an archdeacon, not a judge. He actually saves Quasimodo as a child and does not murder Quasi's mother (he still ends up as a villain).
Phoebus is a complete jerk who first tries to seduce the fifteen-year old Esmeralda and later deserts her when she is in trouble. In the end he marries a rich girl for dowery and social status.
Pierre Gringoire is another male character who deserts Esmeralda when her life is in danger, although she has previously saved his life.
Unlike Disney, it all ends tragically. Quasimodo is in fact closest to the book's original character, loving and devoted to Esmeralda.
It is a great classical Ghotic novel, wonderfully written. The only parts that I found too long and tedious to read were those were Hugo describes the 15th century Paris in great detail and discusses architecture. But the book definitely provides you with a much more profound story than Disney's animated film.
Which one did you prefer?

I knew Belos remind me of someone
The two hate a group of people for the stereotypes they were taught, Judge Frollo to the gypsies and Belos to the witches.
The two have tried or are trying to exterminate them.
The two are in charge of a boy who they do not let out and manipulate with their lies.
Put Phoebus and Quasimodo in a blender and you will have Hunter...
He is indoctrinated by Belos but also serves as his right-hand man, as Quasimodo and Captain Phoebus were, And considering that he can't do magic, it could be considered a disability.
And what they have in common too...
The two are "witches" hated by both, Frollo for being rejected but also because she is a gypsy and she made fun of him and Belos because she represents what he hates most... Witches, sent by the devil to deceive men, mostly his brother and now hunter
Now I understand why I like Belos so much as a villain, he is bad but to the core.

twst stream spoilers 👁 👄 👁
BRUH 😭 SO MUCH CONTENT DROPPED dshfkyoasidbasidvsi sorry for some of the mixed image quality, I was so excited throwing this summary post together
***Obviously, MASSIVE spoilers ahead!!***
It looks like the masquerade event will be the “Halloween” event for 2022 (ie multiple SSRs, half the cast gets cards, etc.). There was even a new animated video for it! (You can probably find it floating around Twitter or Youtube eventually.) Presumably, the rerun or new masquerade event next year will give us cards for the other half of the cast???
HOT NEW CHARACTER????? TWISTED FROLLO????/ He’s school president of “Noble Bell College” and invites the NRC students to some kind of school/student exchange program. He sinisterly says he looks forward to meeting Malleus in particular.
I DIDN’T CATCH THIS GUY’S NAME NOW AND I’M SAD 🤡 THEY DEFINITELY SAID IT ON STREAM??? It sounded like “Rollo Flamu” or “Lolo/Roro Flammu” to me, but I’m not sure how it is spelled.
R cards (Riddle, Ruggie, Rook, and Silver)
SR cards (Deuce, Jamil, Epel, Sebek)
SSR cards (Azul, Idia, Malleus)
Masquerade line merch!!
Main story episode 7 trailer 😳 (Again, it will probably be reuploaded to Twitter and/or Youtube soon!)
Malleus repeats his line of “let me show to the true happy end” (paraphrased, I don’t recall the exact wording) and ominously mentions putting people to sleep for 1000 years with little to no effort 💤
Chapter 7 will be called “Ruler of the Abyss”. Hold your horses though!! No date has been announced for its release; the TWST team is still working on 7!

Ever since reading your Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 rewrite, I like to imagine that whenever Quasimodo and Madellaine get married in several years, their wedding is on Zephyr's birthday. They don't originally plan for the wedding to be on that day, but once they realize it's going to be around that time, Quasi suggests to push it off for another few weeks so it's on the same day. This way Zephyr can have a new, happy memory to associate with his birthday, instead of just a sad one.
That sounds like a suggestion Madellaine might make. They'd likely ask Esmeralda and Zephyr for permission first.

Tristan’s Unique Magic
My hand hurts from the latest comic thing of Tristan’s so instead I must vomit everything I like to think about this oc that’s totallyyy mine ssksks
His Unique Magic: Cacophony of Delusion
Basically an AoE attack that starts with very loud Bell’s ringing over and over disorienting people and warping their perception around them. It’s kind of an ode to what Frollo does with his power in Notre Dame. The church in that story is used to flock people and control them hence since Tristan’s last name is literally Kampana I thought it would be fitting and compliments Rollo.
