J-Hope Fic Recommendations (18+)

If you are already following me for quite some time then you should know that I am a massive masochist and I like to torture myself by reading and writing angsty stories. So, most of the stories that I recommended are angsty as well (might as well have sad endings). So please carefully read the warnings before proceeding. Have a happy reading.

And please don't expect much from me. There are several other rec lists far better than mine. The only motive I had behind creating this list to promote some of the stories, which I think are very underrated. especially angsty ones. These stories are beautifully written so.. I just wanted to let the authors know how phenomenal of a job they have done (As a writer myself I know how much this actually means). Thanks to these amazing writers and I am grateful that they decided to share their work here with us.

Part of a series but can be read as a standalone. and Hoseok is a dick in this.

10. Love Quarrels by @mirahuyooo - A, F, mafia au

A cold yet soft mafia husband Hoseok chases behind his angry wife... could there be anything better than that?

11. The Hook Up ft. JK by @minisugakoobies - S

A little bit of a triangle.. but not love? if that makes sense.

12. Entelechy by @drmflm - suggestive (I believe)

Can't call this one angst and neither is this about Hoseok (he is there, don't worry). This one is more about the reader and her growth and it's beautiful.

Jack's Therapy Game (From the beginning: -> here)

After Jack cared for the horses and Lou prepared the room for Jack, they went over to the Pub. Jack didn't get kicked out like Vlad and no one asked about his 'status'.

Jack: "About the money for the room and stuff... I'll get a job right tomorrow morning. I heard the sculptor is hiring." Lou: "Oh no, no one works for the sculptor." Jack: "I don't have problems to take my shirt off." Lou: "It's not this. We don't talk about it. Don't you worry, you can help me at the shop."

Lou noticed Jack's rash. Lou: "Isn't this painful? I've heard about this. Did your Alpha die? If you don't get this treated you might die too, you know that, don't you?" Jack: "No, he didn't die - it's uhm... complicated and yes..." Now that he thinks about it, it doesn't hurt! He didn't even pay attention since he was so stressed about being locked up. But as far as he remembers, it didn't hurt since he entered the game!

Jack: "I'm fine :3 So, are these your horses?" Lou: "No, Lunatic belongs to no one but he kind of lives here and Val is the horse of a friend from the neighboring village. But he's here all the time because they are deeply in love." Jack: "Is that so." Does that mean this friend is NPC Jeb? Well, since Ji Ho and some of their other friends are also here as NPCs, it would make sense. Jack hopes he can talk to one of them soon to see how 'real' their NPC versions are. Tiny Can maybe does this so they feel comfortable in their therapy.

Even the Queen and the Prince Caleb are here tonight. And he's seen NPC Leander, Barfolomew and: Greg -.- But the Queen and Greg don't sit together. Like at the Arena. That's good news! Jack: "Is the Queen married?" Lou: "No. And she's only the Queen here until the Prince gets married to Princess Jihovere." Princess Jihovere? Caleb and Ji Ho will get married here? OMG! And the Queen will not stay the Queen here so his chances to hit on her just increased! (Omg Jack!) ('Jihovere' refers to 'Guinevere', the beloved wife of King Arthur.)

Jack and Lou had a good time at the pub and Jack has a good feeling about this therapy. For once he can try to act like a 'more normal' person in this world and see what he could achieve. No one here knows about his disorders and hardships. And here he can experience what his life could be if he overcame/worked on some of them. He's fully aware that he can't be 'healed' and he knows that his friends love him and worry about him and try to protect him. But he also gets the feeling that this keeps him from prospering. He'll talk about this with the others when he's back. But he's going to stay a little longer because he really likes Lou and they have so much fun together. And the pain is gone. Jack hadn't felt this good for a very long time.

the two share a dog milo, who is the shining baby boy light of ausitn's life and came up no short of two billion times when austin was doing press for his ysl campaign this past summer. we love milo!

(and i also love that austin wears his gf's clothes sometimes, king!)

austin is close friends with ashley tisdale, and has been since the two of them met filming the movie aliens in the attic in new zealand in 2008. he's 'uncle austin' to her little girl jupiter, and they're also distant cousins!

speaking of aliens in the attic, 300 years ago in 2008 austin ran a little blog for his fans throughout filming which is just the darn sweetest most endearing thing to me. you can read the entries that i pulled from the wayback machine here and here.

1 - Talk about someone who changed your life.

Okay. I took far too long to think about this. Since we're all in a post 6x6 and TTPD era, here's a vulnerable, tortured answer.

I had a very close friend for several years. My husband and I were very close to her and her husband. Our kids were friends. We went to the same church, all loved to travel, had similar interests and tastes, had all lived internationally, went on double dates, etc. We even considered having them raise our kids if my husband and I both passed away. In sum, we were super close.

Then COVID hit. As a doctor COVID was difficult. I struggled a lot because I was taking care of sick patients. I recall one tearful day of talking to a pregnant mom who was about to be transferred to the ICU and was saying goodbye to her other children. It really wasn't safe or comfortable to go to work for a long time. I wasn't really dealing with it well, especially with the people around me treating it like it didn't matter. I was really depressed for the first time in my life.

This friend didn't understand that or if she did, she didn't care. So, when I said I wasn't interested in going out in public and having any type of birthday celebration for my birthday (who wants to celebrate turning 41 anyway?), she started attacking me on a personal level. I was already in a dark place and instead of being a good friend and supporting me, she just keep sending me hateful messages.

That was the first and only time in my life I considered suicide. I reached out for help and got it. I wasn't in that dark pit for a long time. I'm much better now. I mostly have my sister to thank for that.

I brought her flowers for Valentine's Day with an apology note a few weeks after that. She never apologized. I brought treats to her a few weeks after that with an apology note explaining why I felt so hurt. I tried to call to explain how I felt so that I could heal. She never answered the phone.

I'm still not sure what I have to apologize for or why she never seemed to accept or offer an apology. But that was two years ago. We still don't talk. Our husbands don't talk. Our kids don't play together anymore. For a long time, I didn't like going to church because I knew I'd have to see her.

Most of that is better now. I'm just sad for a lost friendship and for the dark place I had to crawl out of.

I've used a slight modification of her name for a character in one of my stories who betrayed Lucy. I thought that might be therapeutic, but it just brought the situation up to the surface again.

Uhhh... I can't believe I just wrote all of that. I'll try to keep the rest of the answers a bit lighter.

2 - Talk about something you really want to do.

I LOVE to travel. I've been to 47 states and 16 countries. My husband and I had all of our plans in place to get to all 50 states before we turned 40. Then COVID hit and all of our plans were dashed when travel shut down. We're going at a slower pace now, but we're getting close to it. #48 (NM) in October, #49 (HI) July 2025 as a 20th anniversary trip, and #50 (AK) the summer of 2026.

11 - Share something you're proud of.

According to AO3's stats, I've posted over 339k words since I started posting 7 months ago (plus another 9-10k chapter I hope to finish tonight). I know there are those that blow me out of the water (Ahem, ahem @girlintotv and @centralperkchenford) with their numbers, but I'm pretty proud of that as a first-time writer and working mom with 4 young kids.

20 - Share with us a random fact or two.

I'm afraid I've already overshared. *yikes* But here we go.

I'm the oldest of 6 kids. The first 4 of us are all 23 months apart, then 27 months apart, and 25 months apart. So, we're essentially every 2 years for 10 years with all of our birthdays clustered together. 3 boys and 3 girls.

I had the chicken pox for my eighth birthday. My grandparents came to visit for my birthday, but they were afraid of getting shingles. So, I had to stay in my bedroom on the second floor, and they stayed on the first floor for the whole time they were visiting. I still remember standing in the hallway near the dining room while they sang happy birthday. One of my siblings blew out the candles for me and my mom brought me a piece of cake in the hallway. (Man, I'm still rocking those depressing TTPD vibes, aren't I?) I was officially not contagious the day my mom came home from the hospital with baby #5 in our family, and I remember being so excited to be healthy enough to hold my baby brother.

Sheesh. Now you probably won't ever ask me anything again. Between TTPD, 6x6, and the angst I'm supposed to be writing right now, I'm coming up with some strange answers.

hi morgan! i've got my exams coming up in early-mid january, so right now i'm just spending a lot of time on maths! i hope to take a brief break afterwards, though. i hope the end of the year is treating you well, too. thanks for the ask! <3

4: What piece of media inspired you the most?

Well! This is a fun question. I'm going to say Disney's Descendants (I don't know if you've watched it?). Completely out of the blue earlier this year, I was struck with an intense bout of love for Descendants that reminded me that I am absolutely obsessed with Descendants, so I then wrote a small fic and rewatched the first move and spent two months being absolutely insane (and also had COVID at the same time). Looking back I think this was brought on by my May-Jun exams, because the same thing is happening now as my Jan exams approach. Such is life, alas.

I'm going to cheat and give you two more answers, too - in the summer, I read Frances Hardinge's Deeplight (an absolutely fantastic book, I definitely recommend it) and then wrote my junhao fic. I also read Garth Nix's Frogkisser! (another brilliant book) and have since been thinking very deeply about my batkisser wip.

5: What fandom(s) did you write for this year?

So! This year I actually wrote for quite a few fandoms! I had to go back and check, but it's actually been quite a good year of writing, and I've managed to post fics for four fandoms in total: I wrote three fics for Stray Kids (one of which Versity and I wrote together), one fic for Miraculous Ladybug, one for Descendants and (finally, as I've been meaning to finish a wip since 2018) one fic for SEVENTEEN.

23: Share the final version of a sentence or paragraph you struggled with. What about it was challenging? Are you happy with how it turned out?

Since I'm in a Descendants mood, I'll share a bit from my Carlos fic - while I was writing this fic, I discovered that all my previous kiss scenes have had a pattern of not saying much about the actual physical kiss itself - it's all stuff like people discovering what other people's smiles feel like against their mouths, which is all well and good, but I wanted to work on that. Originally, this kiss scene was just going to be 'And Carlos discovered that he hadn't read it wrong at all,' which was perfectly serviceable (in fact, I kept it in the fic, in the paragraph right above the following one), but I wanted to write something that wasn't just "and then they maybe kissed." This might be a good time to mention I've never kissed anyone on the lips. Anyway. This paragraph was a bit of a struggle, but I think I did well enough in the end! It was definitely a good start, in any case.

Jay’s fingers find their way into his hair — gently, far more gentle than Carlos thought was possible — and Jay’s tongue is trying to find its way into his mouth, hot and persistent against his lips (it’s a bit much for this kiss, Carlos’ first kiss with asking and explanations and kissing-just-for-kissing, so he keeps his mouth firmly shut until Jay gets the hint, but it’s exhilarating all the same), and Jay’s other hand finds its way from his shoulder to the notch at his waist, and Evil, this might be the best thing to ever happen to him.

30: What's something you want to write in 2024?

Oh, what a question. I'd like to say Every WIP I Have, but I'll start with some of my most recent ones: the junhao batkisser one, the hyunho owls one, the hyunho catboys catfight one, the jeongho mommy issues one, the soonhoon fairies one (and the likely junhao sequel), the junhao where jun keeps leaving and also there's magic and baby seungkwan, the hyunho camera one and, finally, i'd like to iron out the details and actually star my junhao call off your dog one. Gosh. What a long list. Good luck to me. Oh! And the fic I'm writing with Versity, which we have both abandoned for the time being as, unfortunately, we are both very busy.

Micheal always watched you from a far, not in a creepy way just observing.

Micheal never liked how the other picked on you. You were always so sweet to him the few times you’ve interacted.

So when you were sitting at lunch and someone pours their drink on you, something in Michael snaps. He gets up and storms over everyone looking shocked. “back off.” His voice laced with anger.

The offender backs away returning to their friends eventually leaving. He turns to you and offers you help.

So you took his hand and stood up “here.” He hands you his jacket “your shirt is see-through.”

Ah micheal was never gentle about things.

But there’s something about him you love! Maybe it’s how he never bullied you or treated you like dirt.

Back at your dorm (lucky you have a private room) “thanks for walking me back mikey” he nods “yeah don’t mention it”

You don’t know why but your face heated up and suddenly felt shy.

Micheal looks over at you and admires how adorable you look. “What’s wrong?” He leans in towards your face inches away “hm?” You didn’t know what to say, his blue eyes staring you, his hair framing his face just right, he chucked lightly “adorable. Cant use your words?”

And that’s how you ended up here. In bed with the most handsome guy in school.

“You know how long I’ve wanted you?” His voice low right in your ear.

Scratches decorating his back.

“That’s it baby. Just let go”

You were sore for sure but well worth it ;)

Heyaaa, for the wip ask game, I'd love to know about 5, 15, 16, 23, 27! <3 Hope you're having a good dayyy

I am having the best day 🥰🥰 no, seriously, I saw another butterfly that was all black and had little white/pink ornaments at the tip of the wings. I wanted to take a picture for you but it was gone in an instant, unfortunately. And I've just had great food and I got to write a little today, so I am feeling amazing :)

Let's see (I'm gonna do the cat fic bc that is all I am thinking about atm) :

5. What are the main themes?

Trust, Friendship, Manipulation, Identity, Love, Secrets

(In that order of importance, I think. Feel free to ask about any of them and I can tell you more on why I put them here :) )

15. What do you like about this wip

There's a cat! And my favourite characters!! Admittedly, I have quite many of those in dw but I love writing for the fam and River. Always a joy! I also get to focus a lot more on Yaz x Ryan than I originally planned and that is such a treat. They're so good for each other and the mutual support is making me very happy. Also, River gets to be a sneaky little devil and while that is also kinda giving me a headache, I am living for it :)

Plus, writing 'River forces the Doctor to confront her feelings for Yaz' is my favourite thing ever because

she totally would

I kinda want to do it myself (I like how thasmin was executed for most of it but it remains frustrating. I just wanted more for Yaz. I love her. She deserves a happy ever after with the Doctor (and River))

16. What do you find frustrating about this wip

The length! This was supposed to be a silly little one-shot, where did the plot come from?!

The plot itself is another thing : It is complicated to make it work in general and specifically, I wanted to have some alien baddies involved. And like most of what they should have been able to do could have been achieved by either the cybermen - but the fam doesn't know about them until right before Ryan and Graham leave (nevermind that I am busy breaking canon anyway) - or the timelords - which would have been missing a tiny detail and also I did not know who to pick there as - well Gallifrey's gone right?. And then I looked for alternatives but couldn't find any so in the end I made up some species - which I don't feel entirely comfortable with and it isn't like the most inventive idea anyway and doesn't feel necessary you know? Well I kinda fixed that issue but created new ones and just - why does there have to be plot? I'm not a plot writer. I write pretty little pictures of characters interacting. Not adventure stories. Anyway. Good to challenge yourself and stuff.

23. How would you describe your writing style

Kinda messy ngl. I don't have my computer, so I have been writing on my phone. And just. Don't do that?

But well, there are not many descriptions so far - might need to add those - but loads of dialogue and internal monologue. Like, whoever enjoys listening to Yaz having a queer breakdown for pages and pages will have fun with the fic :)

Also quite a few timejumps and 'this is what happened before/after summarised in 2 sentences' passages, especially in the beginning. Complete with Yaz's comments on them. Like, really, this fic is for Yaz fans. (I hope. Unless I wrote her badly, but I really hope I didn't.)

27. Look for three images which best showcase the overall aesthetic for your WIP

I know the last one's not really an aesthetic - not quite sure the second one is either but cats and cozy, you get it - but just imagine I am the safety net that's throwing them there. And then you get an accurate idea if what 50% of the fic is like (= me putting them into a bed together and them being very platonic about it even though the feelings aren't)

[A VIDEO IS UPLOADED DATED 5/10/23 at 8:�3

ID- Simon is filming still from a hospital bed. He has clearly seen better days. Bits of ambient corruption can be seen radiating down his right arm. It rarely seems to want to hold together, flickering with static. The right side of his neck and a bit of his face show some very light signs of partial fragmentation as well, but this seems to be mild. He mumbles to himself, and his voice seems to crackle, sounding vaguely unfocused, as if being filtered through a failing speaker.

Simon: Ok... so if I'm this far away it shouldn't corrupt the video file. That's good to know. Let's try again...

ID- He looks up, adjusts his glasses and looks into the camera now.

Simon: I apologize for my appearance in th s video. But typing has become agonizingly slow. I just wanted to give a quick update on my condition and the state of PT town. The damage was... a lot. There are so many people who have been displaced, left without homes, missing altogether.

ID- He seems to shift uncomfortably. He is trying very hard not to let his right arm touch anything, possibly for fear of clipping through.

Simon: We still do not know the exact cause of the destruction, but thanks to video footage that's remained miraculously mostly intact we have pieced together an approximation of the events. Though bizarrely, even though I can watch back the footage myself, retaining any memory of it is very difficult. I find myself immediately forgetting details only moments later. It could be my condition. Or something else.

ID- He pauses. Even keeping his voice from distorting seems to be taking a great deal of effort.

Simon: There are still victims that are being treated. This incident produced an inordinate number of ZZaZZ victims. They're all currently being treated with medication to aid in the defragmentation process. So far results are very positive, so we have hope all of them will make a recovery. As for myself, it's likely I'll be returning to Hoenn soon. Though I believe I'll need to do a fair bit of explaining about all this. Then again, injuries are not uncommon in my line of work.

ID- He pauses, and seems to think for a bit to himself.

Simon: Oh, did I mention I don't have a findable pulse anymore? Apparently data fragmentation can interfere with medical equipment when trying to detect a heartbeat. Who knew? But I think that's all for now. I'll update you all further if there's anything more to report on!

lots of talk about ken recently and i'm wondering your take/general analysis of his whole 'the digital world is just a game' shtick compared compared to yuu's. i've seen a couple comparisons here and there but i'm sure they're different when you go deeper in?

I think there are similarities, and since there are times Xros Wars seems to be deliberately keeping older series in mind, I've sometimes wondered if the reference is intentional (the target audience for Xros Wars would be far too young to have ever seen 02, so it wouldn't be a bad thing to bring this kind of plotline to a new audience), but as you said, there are some key differences.

The main points in common are that both are said to have originally been kind and gentle kids, and that both of them went to the Digital World hoping to have some escapism where they could destroy anything without consequences. There's also the fact that both of them fled into the Digital World in response to grief about "death" in some way, and are snapped out of it when their partners die due to their own mistakes. But the biggest key difference is that for Ken, the idea the Digital World is just a "game" is an excuse, whereas for Yuu it's the premise.

Ken's flashback in 02 episode 23 showed that when he first went to the Digital World and met Wormmon, he either didn't believe or didn't care if it was a game, and treated Wormmon accordingly; on the flip side, there's the infamous puppy-kicking scene from 02 episode 3 where he undoubtedly harms what is a living thing. Everything he was doing was for self-gratification and to make himself feel better based on his own inferiority complex; he was chasing the image of Osamu glaring coldly at him (from the 02 episode 23 flashback) thinking that Osamu at his worst represented his ideal of "perfect" and "strong". So you basically have the side of Ken that wants to lash out and throw a tantrum and destroy everything to be "strong" versus the side of Ken who wants to be kind and treat everything well, and the excuse "the Digital World is just a game I can tailor to my tastes" was the flimsy excuse he gave himself to keep his own better nature at bay and justify why his increasing cruelty and coldness should be okay -- it’s fine as long as he keeps it to the game, right? But it was a flimsy excuse to begin with, and, faced with incontrovertible evidence in 02 episode 21, his better nature won out.

Yuu, on the other hand, was much more consciously aware of himself and where he stood from the get-go; in fact, the circumstances around what happened to him happened because he was arguably too self-conscious about this. He even refused to join in play fighting because he hated the idea of hurting others so much (Xros Wars episode 37), and in Xros Wars episode 47 we learn that Yuu had been holding back on everything so much that the pent-up frustration had brought all of the worst out of him. In this case, Yuu was directly fed a lie about the Digital World being a "game", and moreover, not only did he not have an inferiority complex, he was so confident in his own talents and abilities that he’d been overly self-conscious about the idea of constantly beating others (meaning that he could worry less about that risk if he were in a “game”). And he really, truly did think he was in a wonderful place where he didn't have to worry about the concept of pain or death until Taiki wounded him in episode 47; it’s only after that when Yuu started going into denial, but in this case it was because he'd now gone so far deep in that the retroactive understanding of everything he'd actually been doing would be too much for him to bear.

So the base outline is similar, but in some aspects they come from almost opposite directions; Wormmon sensed in 02 episode 3 that Ken didn't actually seem to be that much happier as the Kaiser, and the first half of 02 involved Ken himself getting progressively more and more miserable as his attempts to be "strong" did absolutely nothing to fill the void. Ken was already well on his way to realizing this wasn't working out for him; it's just that the realization that Digimon were alive was the last straw (and that the other kids and Wormmon were able to intervene before he really did end up going beyond a mental point of no return). On the flip side, Yuu's crusade in the Digital World had him venting out everything he'd had pent-up to the point he really did enjoy being as sadistic as he wanted, and he probably would have continued doing so without issue had it not been for the fact the initial premise he was fed by DarkKnightmon turned out to be false.

Now that you do bring it up, though, this makes me think about this line from 02 episode 23:

But kindness alone isn't enough. You have to become stronger, or…Or you'll be overwhelmed by your own kindness.

In 02′s context with Ken, this ends up referring to the fact that Ken ended up becoming emotionally vulnerable enough to be manipulated by others and exert all of his emotions in the wrong directions, but interestingly enough, Yuu’s take on this concept seems like a more literal version of this -- his own “kindness” in constantly holding back and being afraid to hurt others caused the resentment to build up in him so much that he succumbed to sadism in order to vent it all out. His own kindness really did overwhelm him.

OMG!! she's probably very used to hearing it from Lochy but it will still make her jump up, grab him by the neck and yank him down so she can noogie his head and yell "I LOVE YOU TOO BUDDY!!!!" way too close to his ear. every time. I think... in some far off future where some lucky lady might finally say it to her romantically, Babs'd bury her overwhelmed excitement and hide her teary eyes behind a strained, shaky-voiced "NICE" accompanied by a tasteful fist pump to herself and herself alone

9. What part of their appearance do they pride themself in? (Sly)

Sly doesn't care for appearances at all (and thinks caring about fashion is a waste of one's energy - looking at Jin) - but there's a type of pride she takes in that sentiment, too. like... the pride of being a walking staple of what it means to not give a damn what anyone thinks about how you look, lol. so in that case, every messy hair, skin mole, blemish or wrinkle, fat roll, and well-worn-looking piece of clothing ironically become her fashion statements haha. she hopes to inspire others to be as liberated as she :-)

I DO think she'd like showing off her ceremonial necklace piece, though! it's very important to her, I think she takes good care of it.

18. What's their biggest secret? (Jin)

whewf, hmm... Jin's a very guarded person but I'm not sure she's so secretive - she'll tell you things about her life if she thinks she can trust you, but she's naturally private about things she deems not worth sharing. she's great at keeping secrets for others - she's been keeping all of Timmy's for YEARS and he made her regret it everyday, lmao.

I think she'd probably be very embarrassed about having been a soldier for Dafoe in her past... she's worked through it all emotionally with herself and in her inner circles but just like, having THAT stamped on her life feels totally humiliating to her. she's probably super stressed about word getting out and ruining her reputation in the independent journalism industry 😔 especially with how it made her treat her girlfriend when they first met - and Sly does not let her live it down, LOL

23. Do they like musicals? If so, what's their favorite? (Kenny)

(THANK YOU.) he doesn't just like musicals. he's a freaking connoisseur. which means he has VERY strong opinions about which shows are good and bad - unlike Babs, who pretty much just likes anything with stage lights and dancing. he's guarded about who he'll share them with, though - if you asked about his favourite, he'd probably give you a non answer, like - well, Little Shop of Horrors is always a classic, or he thought Spies Are Forever was pretty good because it was gritty and tragic while still being a fun watch.

but if he was honest, he'd be forced to admit that he listens to the soundtrack to The Little Mermaid on Broadway at least once a month. note - LISTENS to, not watches - he has visceral takes on the many flaws in the TLM franchise and would much rather make little self-indulgent rewrites and AU's in his head, finding new ways to weave the songs into his much superior narratives. he probably skips all of Skuttle's songs, though.

What did you get me for Valentine’s Day?: Some antique books on star formations, a nice fountain pen, and a new leather bound notebook! I hope you like them! <3

He had heard the 'application' trend running around through civilians lately, and Zack had certainly shown his amusement towards them. He had expected enough interest in the other man to see this result eventually...and he wondered how silly it might be, given he'd also left his own for Zack somewhere. Would the ravenette be reading his just about this same time as Sephiroth read Zack's?

Even simply on paper, the others energy was brimming with his special warmth, and Sephiroth couldn't help the small but tender smile on his lips. He could only laugh at further evidence that they were...severe lacking in culinary experience, if he himself only knew a few meals, and Zack regarded him as the better cook. They would need to fix that, together.

All in all, Zack's application was more than satisfactory and far better than Sephiroth's own. There was more clear, fitting effort and thought. Even the idea for a date was fairly appealing--not a place overwhelming with loud people, and perhaps a chance to rewrite some experiences with libraries...

And the gifts were sweet and thoughtful. And had more use than Sephiroths. Granted, the collars for Zack's canine companions would hopefully be useful....but a teasing collar for Zack himself, well...he would have to wait and see. But there was more to his gifts. Three more, to be exact. A far more secure medic case for work on the go, to ensure Zack's materials would be safe. A new pillow, because he noticed how difficult it had been for Zack to sleep some nights and not only was this one different in how firm but adjustable it was, it also had a sort of scent release affect, with calming fragrances. And then of course a small picture book. He thought he'd noticed Zack considering filling his space with more memories, now that they were getting more comfortable making them. Perhaps this would show his support of that.

Well, he supposed they both gave what each other would expect. Either way, he folding up the application, and stalked off the find the man to show him how much he 'accepted' said application.
