gacha game rambling below

i’m down to 2 gacha games at this point and i’m glad for it. genshin i haven’t touched in. god knows how long honestly. i still have ayakashi: romance reborn installed bc i love the story and want to go back to finish it, but the game is finished anyway so like. its whatever, the eng translation got dropped.

i stopped playing twisted wonderland bc it was going insanely fast to “catch up” to japan and the gameplay is honestly. the worst. the story was fun and i may go back to read it later but the gameplay is godawful.

ensemble stars rhythm gameplay is still fun and so i’ll go into that to play some fun songs from time 2 time but i’m genuinely not interested in the daily login management crap etc. it feels like too many little systems and i truly don’t see a point in trying to get the gacha cards anymore since i don’t have enough space on my phone for them 2 be dancing on my screen and have to have a static background. i genuinely haven’t even finished the main story yet just skipped through it to get rewards. man. maybe if i finish my read of the Basic stories i’ll be interested in picking it back up again full time but for now it’s literally just sitting there unless i’m like ‘hm i want to do rhythm games for like 15 min’

tears of themis is. i was really really deeply into it for the longest time as a fun little romance gacha game but its INSANELY f2p UNfriendly and i’m just. not very invested in the stories anymore. i get the cards and the stories sit for MONTHS until i finish them, i have barely paid any attention 2 event stories, and it’s just........ not engaging anymore. the main story has too many things 2 keep track of i genuinely need to replay to understand what’s going on. i’ll keep logging on and doing my dailies for now (they also take like. 10 min.) bc i have a bunch of those Log In Every Day To Get Premium Currency things piled up, but if i’m still this disinterested when it runs out i’ll be dropping it. (who knows. maybe the next part of the main story will drop and grip me again or at least grip me enough 2 swap to f2p. idk.)

finally honkai: star rail which i just recently picked up and am genuinely enjoying a ton so far. i’m determined to not pay anything and also to not fall into the trap of genshin, where you get a bunch of characters Because You Have To Have Them but then they sit forever underleveled and you never do shit with them. my sister fucking loves genshin but virtually never pulls on gacha and i’m determined to approach it like her. i’m genuinely super engaged in the story and the characters and as long as this persists, i’ll stick with it.

TLDR; i’m doing my best 2 get away from the predatory things in gacha games and only playing those i’m genuinely interested in/engaging with.

Summary: Genshin men taking you to safety after you isekai to Teyvat and get injured in the process

A/n: Sure! I put my own little spin on the teleportation concept, wherein reader gets injured (and his clothes get torn up🤪). Letter event is still up, so you may still send in requests! I will get to NSFW posts soon enough (probably around next week), so in the meantime, check my rules and feel free to send some in!😏

Diluc

You initially teleported from Earth to Teyvat through your computer screen on a normal day, only expecting to log on and do your dailies/resin farming.

What you did not expect when you rolled out of bed, was to land face first on the grass in front of the Starfell Lake Statue of the Seven.

Trying to stand up, you felt a sharp pain shoot through your leg.

After struggling for some time, you found a tree branch to help support your weight on.

Suddenly, you felt a breeze of wind which felt awfully frigid against your legs.

That’s when you looked down, and realized you were completely naked. Somehow, your clothes had been destroyed during the teleportation process.

Not being able to do much about it, you made your way towards Mondstadt.

Arriving at the end of whispering woods, you saw a figure in the distance. Picking up your pace to catch up to it, the realization of who it was made you freeze. Was that…

“Diluc?” you accidentally called aloud.

The man in question, turned around and erupted into a bright blush after seeing your state.

Out of respect, he rushed forward, shrugging off his jacket and draping it over your shoulders.

“I will leave the questions for later, come with me.” Turning back around, he continued making his way to wherever he had been going.

Hearing a yelp in pain, however, made him turn back around to see you wincing on the ground while holding your leg. He walked back towards you and picked you up bridal style.

“I will carry you to safety, there is no need to worry.” The sudden feeling of being in Diluc’s arms made you, in turn, begin to blush. How had your day gone from starting commissions to being in the arms of a strikingly handsome man?

On the road to the Dawn Winery, however, the only thoughts going through Diluc’s mind were who this was, how he had gotten here, and why he had never seen him in Mondstadt before. And, somewhere at the back of it, how attractive this sudden stranger was.

Xiao

Like in Diluc’s case, you had been teleported through your screen, but this time to Mingyun Village.

Feeling extremely exposed, you heard the familiar screech of hilichurls coupled with the drum sound effect, signaling a fight.

Of course, not being equipped for battle, you screamed in panic and began to run in the opposite direction.

Before making it very far, you began hearing the clash of metal against wood, and turned around to see a familiar-looking green figure swinging his polearm at the enemies.

“Xiao!” You cried out in happiness and relief.

It was only after finishing fighting off all the enemies and taking his mask off, that he turned to you, trailed his gaze down to your -private area-, and with wide eyes, snapped them back away from your form entirely with a dark red blush.

“Um, I-I’ll be back in a bit.” He muttered before disappearing into thin air.

After patiently waiting, the boy reappeared a few minutes later with a robe in hand.

“H-Here.” He muttered shyly while handing out the robe, still looking away and blushing. “I got this from the Wangshu Inn.”

You tried slipping the robe around your arm, but you winced when trying to pass it over your left one.

This caught Xiao’s attention, and he quickly made his way over to you.

After finishing putting the robe on you, he looked up at your face and realized how close you two had gotten.

Turning around, he began walking along his way. “Follow me, I will bring you to the Wangshu Inn, it is safe over there.” He muttered. You found it cute how he tried to hide the ever-present blush along the tips of his ears.

In Xiao’s mind, he reasoned with himself and decided it be best to treat your wounds when you were unconscious, leave you food and water for when you wake up, and not show himself to you again, at least for a while. For now, he would observe your recovery from the shadows. After all, he didn’t know if you were trouble, right? (No other motives Xiao?😏)

Anyways, constantly being horn-knee and adding suggestiveness to fics that don’t even require it is now a daily grind🤪

You adjusted your headphones as you shifted in your chair, seeing your face pop up beside the Genshin Impact opening page. “Alright! While people join in, we’ll start collecting the daily rewards.” You moved to your keyboard to set about doing your daily tasks while watching your viewer number shoot up. You greeted them with a smile while you moved your character to the Adventurer's Guild to get the rewards of the day. After they had been collected, you moved your attention to the chat, where you saw multiple comments asking you to visit other worlds, hoping that one of them would be able to play with you. “So is that what we’re going to do today? That sounds fun! Let’s go carry some people.” You laughed and clicked the co-op button.

“Oh! A Noelle account! Let’s see. Kozukenken, will you let me join your world?” A few moments went by and there was no change in the screen, so you prepared to find a different account when you were suddenly transported to the new world. “Nice! We’re in.” Your character loaded next to the other’s Fischl in the middle of Mondstat. Clicking open the chat, you were quick to send the first message.

Kozukenken: electro hypostasis maybe

Kozukenken: i’ve only been playing for a week so i’m still working on building

(y/n)plays: ofc i’ll help. Let’s go!

“This is it, guys. Finally a chance to show off my new babies!” You cheered, going to change out your characters to Rosaria and Yanfei before you met your new partner near the hypostasis’s location. Awkwardly running around each other for a moment, you both took that as your cue to start the fight. Your partner had their Noelle and Qiqi on their team, which you let them use for a few before you got a chance to use your ‘ult’ skill from both of your girls which finished off the hypostasis, the flower growing nearby. “Ha! One shot! I’m almost as hot as Papi Tartaglia now, huh?” You giggled as you read over the comments, each talking about the previous fight and comparing you to the other well-known players who main Tartaglia and Zhongli.

From there, the two of you fought a few more bosses, hit a couple of domains, and wiped out a handful of hilichurl groups guarding chests, all the while, you both making jokes back and forth to each other through the chat. Your stream chat was blowing up, though you didn’t notice while you were distracted by your partner. If you had just paid attention to the chat for a moment, you would have realized what your viewers did. You just happened to be playing with one of the highest viewed streamers on Twitch.

Hours must’ve passed that you played with ‘kozukenken’ and finally you left their world before you said goodbye to all of the people who had watched you stream. Logging off, you took a deep breath and rubbed your eyes, not realizing how much they were hurting until you took them off of your screen. You went to your bathroom to begin the process of getting ready to go to sleep since it was nearing three o’clock in the morning when your phone chimed to alert you about a new message on Discord. Opening your screen to see the Genshin Impact loading screen you had forgotten to click off of earlier, you almost exited the app when you saw a red exclamation mark by the Paimon Menu. Clicking on it, you saw that you had an unaccepted friend request from the player that you had just finished playing with. With a giddy smile, you accepted it and moved to check Discord.

The two of you talked for a while the next day on voice chat and you learned that he lived only an hour away from you. You also happened to learn exactly who he was when you checked out the link to his Twitch and realized he was one of the streamers that inspired you to start streaming yourself, though you didn’t recognize his username at first. After a brief moment of panic, which he had the audacity to laugh at you for, he made the suggestion of streaming together one day. You were quick to agree.

“So since we’ll be streaming soon, we should plan a day and time.”

“Yeah! And what we’re going to be doing.”

“So I have an idea. Let’s see who can get the most hilichurls. If you win, you get a special tour of my teapot.”

“Kenma! That’s awfully bold! We just met and you’re already trying to show me your teapot; how scandalous!”

“I- that’s- wait.. I didn’t mean.. That’s not-”

“I know what you meant, Mr. Freaky.”

“You know what I meant, (Y/N). I’m going to sleep since you have nothing better to do than tease me.”

“It’s just too easy, Kenma. Anyway, I’ll talk to you later!”

He hung up the call, leaving you staring at your phone slightly awestruck. He wanted to game with you again. You found a hard time comprehending that. Letting out a laugh of disbelief, you flopped back on your bed and closed your eyes until a ping from Discord let you know of a new message.

Kozukenken: “I’m looking forward to our teapot date :)”

I swear Kenna’s Genshin team is Noelle as the DPS, Fischl as Sub DPS, Jean as support, and Qiqi as healer bc you know he’s not f2p 😩

Also, I used my main team for the reader which is Xiao as DPS, Yanfei for Sub DPS, Venti as support, and Bennett as healer

BNHA characters and their genshin experiences

I've been way into genshin for the past couple months, if anyone wants to play with me message me (I'm lvl 45 rn) but be warned I have shitty internet and am a partial razor main

but this is mainly characters I can see actually putting time into genshin

Bakugou

Mains: Yanfei

his main has probably been most every pyro character at some point

he wants diluc so bad, whenever someone else complains that diluc ruined their pity he wants to ruin their existence

before yanfei his main was probably hu Tao

hed definitely play klee if he had her lmao but he doesnt and is patiently waiting for her rerun

he has a lot of 5 star characters and is f2p, he can always get banner characters within at least the first pity, but for standard 5 stars hes gotten keqing and qiqi way too many times and hes livid

especially as a previous hu tao main, he was begging for Jean, still has yet to come home

hes probably a very high level, not fully maxed out considering he hasnt been playing all that long, he was probably forced to start when the rest of the bakusquad started playing it and he just took off

has really shitty artifact luck though, like his characters arent bad or anything but they could be so, so much better

and ugh hes livid

explores everything, has 100% exploration everywhere, but hes not bored hes still got artifact farming to do and he enjoys terrorizing enemies

in co op he will set you and everything around you on fire. cope.

Todoroki

Mains: Xiao or Ganyu

probably only started playing because Izuku asked him to

kaeya has also been on his team since day 1 and he is never leaving doesnt matter his friendship has been level 10 for weeks now who cares

was f2p until xiao, who didnt want to come home at all, and he finally got him on his 180th pull

now he doesnt care and will buy primogems whenever hes bored

he has a lot of constellations on kaeya and hes so proud of that, probably c4, is considering buying way too many primogems just so that he can hopefully get his c6

now his artifact luck is godly, you'll go into a domain with him and be like ugh I got nothing and hes like I got a 4 piece set with all attack or crit rate/damage main stats like haha I hate you

but yeah his characters are very strong cause of this, but he doesnt put effort into building a lot of them, he only levels up and gives good artifacts to his team and a couple other characters he likes but everyone else just sits there for a while

hes not super obsessed with the game, but he does think its funny seeing bakugou get so upset whenever they do domains together

doesnt even bother doing daily tasks really unless hes trying to save primogems

Midoriya

Mains: Venti

hes so good at building characters, like he looks up builds online and watches those "do INSANE damage with these tips" videos - and he sets out to get them done and he does

bakugou is once again livid whenever they play together, because Izuku barely has to try and can do so much more damage than him

he does have to put in a lot of work for his artifacts though because he doesnt settle for the okay ones he needs the absolute best

he builds his favorite characters the most ofc, but he evenly distributes things to other characters he knows can be useful- those characters might not have insane stats but they're still good

will not kill timmies pigeons, hell hunt birds in the wild for fun though

definitely a food hoarder

also does a lot of exploring and probably has at least 90% for each area

Kaminari

Mains: Lisa

he is 1000% in love with Lisa, he took her quest very seriously

and so many people say shes horrible, he hates it, hes made her crazy strong out of spite

his team consists of only his wifus- meaning lisa, beidou, rosaria, and mona

for a long time beidou was his second but then rosaria came along and hes like ugh big tiddy goth gf, but lisa still remains queen

these are the only characters hes built though, save for a couple like probably razor and xiangling that he used before he fully got this team

is an ayaka saver

he doesnt care too much about most 5 stars but will sometimes get them just to say he has them, but they end up just sitting there rotting away because he never puts work into them

he does have hu tao though and would get ganyu if she ever had a rerun

Kirishima

Mains: Diluc Razor or Beidou

they're all on his team, the last person switches out but it's most likely zhongli or childe

hes all about dps, support who, he just wants to hit hard and do insane damage , so yes he made dps zhongli

except his builds arent that great, with some help his builds are decent, but on his own hell be like ugh that's some sexy 300 damage

probably didnt know what 90% of the stats even meant and just put random attack ones on people and went yeah that looks good

doesnt really care though and is just having fun so hell play how he wants (as he should) but he does have to ask for help when farming bosses

loves exploring but misses so much, hell get distracted easily and end up just messing around

honestly probably hasnt bothered to ascend his world since he got to level 35, if he did the quest hed probably go straight to 45 and even then hed still have extra exp because hes been there for so long oml

but eventually he would have to and hed be trying to do it like :,) this is fine and it takes him a lot of tries but he gets there eventually,,, only to immediately have another one waiting for him poor baby

Mina

Mains: Klee or Xiangling

thinks baizhu is hot (and is correct) so shes desperately waiting for him

was a I must play 24/7 player until after the last story quest, then she got kinda bored but still plays frequently so she can save primogems and likes playing co op

goes into random peoples worlds a lot

shes got some pretty strong characters and is proud of her account

definitely makes tiktoks of her playing with the bakusquad cause it's always v chaotic (it's probably only denki and kirishima most of the time, but sometimes either bakugou or sero will join in)

does all the genshin tiktok trends

shes a pretty high level since shes probably been playing for a while and has most everything done

she loves helping lower level people though she thinks it's so cute and loves the power she feels when she one shots things

Sero

Mains: Xingqui

hes a pretty casual player, kinda only plays when hes bored or the others make him play with them

but his stats arent too bad, they're fairly average but he gets by

has so many primogems because he doesnt bother to wish on anyone, probably wants kazuha though

he does get super invested into the story though, hes so curious about the world and where the story is gonna lead

probably watches a lot of genshin theory videos and now he over thinks everything in the game

he explores a lot, not so much to find every single thing but more so just because he likes looking at everything, hes very excited for all the new places

Shinsou

Mains: Childe

hes a very thorough player, he explores a lot and puts a lot of work into building his characters

most of them arent all that great but he has plans to fix them

his main team is very well built, not the best, but still good

he struggles when he has to switch someone out for a domain or something because his other characters are so painfully mediocre right now and he feels so bad

shinsou, playing a character that can do like max 200 physical damage and biggest damage is like 2 thousand, repeatedly saying I'm sorry, I'm sorry, you deserve so much better, I'm so sorry

even if it's not the worst damage by far, he feels bad about anything under his main team's stats because they're just so much higher

broke. has no primogems. spent them all on childe and his constellations. does he regret it? well he sure does appreciate his c6 so- hell manage

yes he spent real money on his stupid mass murderer who he loves very much

fights childe every day even though he already collected the treasure, he is but a humble simp

probably decently lucky with wishing like he can beat the 50/50 almost every time

Tamaki

Mains: Chongyun and Sucrose

he only started playing recently, probably kirishima got him into it, but he immediately fell in love

kirishima was like tell me when you're level 16 so we can play together !!! and 2 days later tamaki was level 16 and kiri was shook because how the hell did he do it so fast

hates domains, the dread he feels when he realizes the lower level isnt going to give him anything anymore, and he has to move up to the next, and the next,,

asks kirishima to help him only to realize he isnt much help, is too nice to say that so he let's kiri keep trying- one day kiri gets deku to play with the two of them and tamaki almost cries because finally he can get through the level 90 domain and actually get things ugh

cannot get xingqui to save his life he refuses to come home and poor tamaki is so sad he wants him a lot hes even got all his materials saved up

Monoma

Mains: Ningguang

honestly doesnt play all that much but takes pride in making his account seem v good, is a whale

but hes very good at the game, didnt know what the artifacts were for at first and gave people ones based on how they looked but once he figured it out hes fixed them

is a very standard player, logs in every day to do his commissions and use his resin then logs out, he doesnt put too much time into the game and doesnt worry if he misses a day or two

worships ningguang, also really likes xinyan, his other team members are probably venti and albedo

has every single banner 5 star that has come out since he started playing, probably doesnt have klee though and is v upset about it, and is thanking the heavens for all the reruns lately

also doesnt have keqing and wants her a lot cause he likes her

accepts every single co op request he gets, and despite what a lot may think hes actually a very nice person to play with, not toxic at all - unless you're someone he knows then he might be mean to you shshshsh

Shigaraki

Mains: Razor

haha isnt it so odd that they sound so similar haha (if you dont know they have the same japanese va and I'm guessing hed play it in Japanese)

obviously he can be kinda busy ya know being a criminal and all that but when hes not he puts a lot of time into genshin

sadly doesnt have very good luck when it comes to characters or artifacts, but hes doing his best even with 0 primogems and his 50% crit rate

doesnt explore all that much, most of the exploring hes done came from him trying to get all the oculus

his razor is so good though, except that's the only character hes put tons of effort into

except for now zhongli, hes not replacing razor but ugh does he love zhongli

but his other characters are pretty mediocre at best, he could build them if he wanted to, hes good enough at gaming to figure it out, he just doesnt have the time to spend to do it so he focuses on his main team

also (spoiler alert kinda) when we had to go to the wolf spirit to fight the abyss herald and razor was there, afterwards how razor was saying how he was too weak and stuff and was super sad, at that very moment shiggy decided the entire abyss order had to be destroyed - sorry aether (he chose lumine) but razor is more important than you

Genshin battle pass breakdown

The battle pass promises a bunch of rewards for completing certain tasks, but isn’t exactly up-front about how much you’ll get and how much work it takes to get it, so I thought I’d break it down into the average daily returns and workload needed.

The standard battle pass period seems to be 2 months – the current one is shorter, presumably since they wanted a neat 6 periods within a year. This working assumes a 2-month pass with the same quests as the current one.

What do you get per day?

Assuming you reach level 50 on the battle pass, the free rewards give you approximately:

Character EXP: 3 of the mid-tier item per day

Weapon EXP: 1.5 of the top-tier item per day

Mora: 12k per day

Rolls: 5 acquaint fates, which translates to about 13 primogems per day

The paid tier adds on approximately:

Character EXP: 2 of the top-tier item per day

Weapon EXP: 5 of the top-tier item per day

Mora: 36k per day

Rolls: equivalent of about 25 primogems per day

Character upgrade item: 1 per week

You also get your choice of an exclusive 4* weapon upon hitting level 30 on the pass. It’s up to you whether this is all worth $5 a month (or for consistency, 17 cents), but for comparison the other $5-a-month option is equivalent to 100 primogems per day.

These rewards are concentrated towards the higher levels of the pass, so the next question is:

How much work does it take to clear the pass?

Each level takes 1000 points (assuming it doesn’t crank up on later levels), so you need 50k points over 2 months to get everything. If you completed every single mission, you’d get over 80k points, so clearly you can ignore the harder ones. In particular, you need to worry much less about managing your resin use than the task list suggests.

Case 1: The Casual

You’re just having a good time running around the countryside, completing some quests. You log in each day, do your commissions and mine 10 items (mineral expedition rewards count). Each week, you cook 20 items and harvest 100 specialties from Mondstadt and Liyue. This alone already takes you to level 35 over the complete battle pass period.

Case 2: The Mid-Level Player

You’re a little more invested, so you’re spending some resin to upgrade your characters, though you don’t worry too much about how you do it. As well as the Casual tasks, you spend at least 150 resin every other day, totalling at least 5500 over the entire period, and you complete one of the 450-point combat missions each week. You’re also investing in your characters, so every other week you spend over 500k mora. You’ll now reach level 43.

Case 3: You’re Good at Video Games

You’ve figured out how to beat the harder challenges, and you enjoy doing so. As well as the Casual and Mid-Level tasks, you beat either Wolf of the North or Stormterror Domain once every week. You’re now earning more than enough points to reach level 50.

I hope these examples show that it’s not all that unreasonable to get a high BP level without obsessing over beating lots of missions.

Of course the current BP might be exceptional beyond just the shorter duration, but I hope this will at least help give a rough idea of what you’re dealing with.

Genshin Impact Summoning & Economics Guide

I’ve been playing Genshin Impact since the 22nd of November, 2020. I have every character except Klee, Jean, and Mona. Tonight, Eula will be joining my collection. With that in mind, and roughly $600 Canadian invested into Genshin’s mesmerizing online world, I thought it might be a good time to talk about how I decide what I want to invest in when I’m playing the game.

The first thing I want to make abundantly clear is that while I have chosen to spend money--the funds I use to use to buy new dolls or vintage My Little Pony figures--you don’t necessarily have to. You can earn 60 primogems--the game’s equivalent of one US dollar--every day by completing four daily quests and then turning them in at the Adventurers’ Guild. There are also generally a few events each month that offer primogems as prizes, helping people stack up a nice amount with absolutely zero effort.

The Welkin Moon

Want to kick it up a notch? Invest $5 USD ($7 Canadian) on getting the Welkin Moon. You get 300 Genisis Crystals (which can be used for packs in the shop or converted into those sweet, sweet primogems) up front and then 90 primogems a day over a 30 day period. Meaning, you’re getting 3,000 primogems for $7. Considering that 3,200 gems--the amount needed for 20 wishes--goes for $50 USD / $70 Canadian in the shop, this is a solid value. It will also increase the likelyhood that you’ll log in each day--which, in my opinion, should be a big deciding factor in whether you want to invest in this game.

The Battle Pass

Another potentially valuable purchase you can make is investing in the monthly battle pass. For $10 USD or $13.99 Canadian, you can receive a variety of wishes, mora, xp books, weapon crystals, a unique 4 star weapon at rank 30, and fragile resin which will make your in game experience run much more smoothly. To be clear: everything you can get in the Battle Pass--minus the weapon--can be found either in the pass’s free version or elsewhere in game. But as a long time player who has purchased the Battle Pass four times now, I find it to be an excellent cost-to-content value.

Go Big Or Go Home?

Anything from here out is going to start costing a more sizable sum, which some will and others won’t be comfortable with. One of the most important things to recognize is that Genshin’s Gacha system has a fail-safe on its 5 star characters. But it IS an expensive one. Every 80 pulls, you will receive at least one 5 star character. When you receive a 5 star character, that will reset your pity to 0, regardless of what number of pulls you were at when you got them.

At full reset, you have a 50% chance of getting the banner’s featured character, and 50% chance of getting (currently) one of five 5 star characters: Diluc, Keqing, Qiqi, Jean, and Mona. If you get one of the 5 alternate characters, your next 5 star will be a banner character. If you are pulling on the same banner, you will get its character. If you wait for a different featured character and pull, you’ll get that character instead.

It costs $100 USD / $140 Canadian for 50 wishes. Which means that it costs roughly $300 USD or $410 Canadian to guarantee you will get a specific 5 star from 0 pity at worst case scenario. (I’m ignoring roughly 10 wishes total here, but odds are good you’d have those, so let’s keep the math simple.) Personally, the only things I’ve purchased in Genshin aside from Welkin Moon and Battle Pass are characters, with the recent exception of getting constellation c1 for Childe and for Zhongli.

In Conclusion...

At the end of the day, what every person’s budget is going to be for a game like Genshin Impact will be different. The good news is that the game itself is technically free to play, and it does a great job at allowing a player to figure out whether they are really interested in it or now.

I went into Genshin Impact figuring I’d try it for a week and be done with it. It’s not in a genre of gaming that I tend to natively gravitate toward. Yet here I am, almost six months later, and I have not missed a day. I actually run two accounts right now, because my BF is paused on Genshin and is busy fishing in Final Fantasy XIV. For me, the time and funds I have invested in this game--and the passion I have for the game and for interacting with the community--are an excellent value.

However, that does not blind me to the dangers of any type of game that has a gambling mechanic of any sort in it from word go. If you are going to invest in Genshin--or any other game with micro-transactions--make sure you’re not spending money you cannot afford to lose. And do not let anyone make you feel bad if you can’t buy the latest and greatest character, weapon, or anything else.
