Keep in mind that I never go out of my to antagonize the Nalu fandom. I make my posts with the correct tags and (one or two) fans come after me. These aren’t even responses to the posts I’m harshest towards Nalu or in extreme support of Nali. You’ll see...

First, an easy one.

For contexts sake, this is the chapter where Natsu was surrounded by “women sleeping in his heart”.

He burned them all at the same time, Lisanna was the first to disappear because she was under him. I thought Natau pushed Lucy because the breast was on his face 😂 But luckily for him he enjoyed the real one few chapters later. Which I don't like his sexual comments. But I liked what come from the fight! And I actually find it quite disgusting that anyone will ship Wendy! Even during the OG, the writer tried to point out that wendy loves Natsu!

Let’s go at this bit by bit.

True, but he didn’t punch all of them at the same time. (That’s still hilarious almost two years later.)

Lisanna was the first to disappear because she was under him.

“Enjoyed” is an interesting way of putting what happened in chapter 74. I’m not even bothering with this.

But I liked what come from the fight!

I wish I could agree. Aquarius coming back is hype, but we got robbed of an actual fight between Natsu and Lucy. Wonder what that would look like?

And I actually find it quite disgusting that anyone will ship Wendy! Even during the OG, the writer tried to point out that wendy loves Natsu!

Hey, we agree on something! According to chapter 423 of the original, Wendy doesn’t see Natsu as anything more than a big brother figure. Thank goodness for us all.

As far as these kinds of responses go, this isn’t the worst thing ever. Like, I don’t think this in any meaningful sense necessary. But I’m not too bothered by what I’m seeing here.

While Lucy was ready to die to rewrite the demon, Lucy's mom died to bring those kids to present and she still love those kids and forgive them, Zeref even talked about heartfilias being caring people, and Lucy was ready to fight for Natsu's pride because was called a demon even after knowing he was a demon.

I don't care honestly about you hating Nalu, because it is obvious you will not like the counterpart of your OTP 😂 I don't care, I know who is canon and who is not, I just want more girls having friendship moments over love moments between the bois and gurls.

First off, I’d likely ship a toaster with Natsu, provided it’s name isn’t Lucy Heartfilia. I cite as proof the post you’re replying to.

Speaking of which, this reply should be about some of the crazy other ships in this post. I’d understand if you said this about shipping Natsu with Hisui, Cana or Juvia. You know good and well there’s not nothing to people shipping Lisanna.

Second, I’ve never denied the friendship between Natsu and Lucy. It’s one of my favorite dynamics in the series. Ironically, it’s one of the biggest reasons I don’t ship them. I can’t see them having a romantic relationship because of their friendship.

As a whole, Nalu fans need to stop interpreting Lisanna saying “take care of Natsu” as “I have no interest in Natsu, you have my blessing to marry him”.

I guess? I could technically say that he already met a Heartfilia in Anna. Or that this is justification to ship him with Anna or Layla, as much as with Lucy. (If only there was some way we could tell how I felt about shipping Natsu with OTHER Heartfilias?) But that feels like splitting hairs.

Instead, I’d say that “fate“ as a reason to ship characters is ironic for a reason you’ll bring up later on.

You do realize you’re saying this on a post ranking the different Natsu ships, right? I mean, I’m part of the fandom that headcanons him as ace. But you have to recognize the irony of this statement.

Remember what I said about fate? Honestly, this makes the idea of shipping them a whole lot cooler. It shows growth in Lisanna’s perception of demons. I actually might have to write something with this in mind. Thanks for the interesting idea.

I wouldn’t go this far, but I do agree that the most important people to Lisanna are her siblings.

It’s almost as if I can admit people can be important to others without shipping them.

Or that I’m not threatened by the idea that Natsu isn’t the most important person in the life of the person I ship him with.

Apparently, failing to fight back tears while realizing Natsu and Happy are here is the same as not caring about abandoning them. Good to know.

In all seriousness, what does this matter? Can’t she have her family AND want to be with Natsu? That was the whole point behind Natsu and the Dragon Egg.

She was willing to rewrite the demon. I don’t know that she was exctied to save Natsu at the cost of her own life.

Also, something something Graylu saves the day.

While Nali is my favorite ship for both characters, my favorite ship in the series has long been Albis. My story “Shot in the Dark“ is one of my favorite stories to have written.

Even if that wasn’t the case and Nali was my Fairy Tail OTP...

REMEMBER THE POST YOU’RE REPLYING TO! It should say something to you that I like a number of other ships involving Natsu EXCEPT Nalu. Again, I’m shocked that you’re not focusing on that.

I know who is canon and who is not

As of the time I’m writing this, Nalu is not canon. It MIGHT be canon, but I’m not convinced it will be. This is despite rumblings about Mashima’s recent words on things I’m not currently willing to look into. He’s got to do something in the sequel to convince me he’s changed his mind.

I just want more girls having friendship moments over love moments between the bois and gurls.

Fair enough.

So, let’s review.

Your first mistake was being a Nalu fan.

Your second mistake was getting upset about a post about my personal opinions.

Your third mistake was picking a fight with someone who’s been arguing against Nalu in great detail for more than seven years with no real evidence.

Your fourth mistake was being a Nalu fan.

Your fifth mistake was coming to a post that only barely is about either Nalu or Nali and making near uniquely about both.

Your sixth mistake was assuming Nalu is currently canon, despite Mashima not intending to make it canon originally.

Your seventh mistake was being a Nalu fan.

Your eighth mistake was showing little to no reading comprehension while criticizing the ships I like in a work of fiction.

Your ninth mistake was pressing enter on the replies, thinking I wouldn’t respond.

Your tenth mistake was being a Nalu fan.

Four years ago, I questioned why the Nalu fandom leaves me alone. I figured it was at least, in part, because I leave them alone.

It looks like I jinxed it.

Since then, I’ve gotten quite a number of Nalu fans challenging me with subpar points and lackluster insults. This despite the fact that Mashima is moments away from making Nalu actually canon with every chapter. And that the thing I’ve been pouring the most energy into regarding Fairy Tail since then is tweaking the entirety of canon. This has forced me to rethink a number of my past views on the series.

And I STILL don’t like Nalu OR see it as canon in any meaningful sense.

Recently, I’ve been thinking that Nalu happening might not be as bad as I’ve made it out to be over the years. But if fans are going to act like this over people not liking it, I continue to hope Mashima destroys any doubt of its impossibility before putting the series to pasture.

By the way, I absolutely welcome people coming to my posts to disagree with me. It gives me a reason to continue writing about this series, outside of rewriting the whole thing.

But a word of advice, to anyone stupid enough to try this. If you’re going to be annoying and reply to my posts, at least be as memorably annoying as Chris was.

As it stands, these aren’t the best set of messages I’ve ever gotten.

These aren’t the best negative responses regarding me shipping Nali over Nalu.

These aren’t even the best negative responses to my views on the Natsu ships directed soley towards me. (Frankly, this isn’t even close to the second best. Or third.)

If you’re the person who wrote this and are somehow reading this, I hope you have a terrible day, Nalu doesn’t happen, and Mashima turns the last chapter into a 50-page Nali hentai doujinshi. Leave me alone and never try this on anything I post ever again.

And if this ends up starting something else, I’m going to be even more pissed off than I am in this post.
