Keito: I don’t get the meaning of this. Hmmm, just what in the world is with this guy.

(I’m perplexed. One way or another, it seems I’ve found myself shouldering this unexpected plot twist… And I’ve brought Sakuma-san along. At this stage, I’m in a position where I can’t make a change of plans.)

(There’s no other choice. If there was some freak accident now, it would create a permanent dent in the plan. I must retreat quickly and straighten things up.)

Okay no but like I LOVE my lesbians HC for my fav girls and Kaitlyn is my fav but it rubs me so WRONG when the one women of color in this game who canonically shows interest to the other half of the popular MLM ship gets labeled the lesbian in rylan fics and then just?? They don’t even do anything with that. They don’t do more they just go “she’s lesbian she’s not interested in Ryan!!” And it makes me :))))). Like hmmm

I do really like the fanon stuff about Joshua being musically inclined before he took on the role of Composer, but to me i always imagined it as him feeling drawn to musical instruments but not really being good at them. So to me, Joshua was definitely a piano kid, but did not necessarily take to it easily nor was necessarily good at it. But he loved just sitting there and plucking keys and could do it for hours :)

Polite for all intents and purposes. Definitely a quiet kid imo. I'll be honest and say that i don't really dwell on how Joshua was pre-Composer.

i remember a weird period of time where i saw a lot of joshua and rhyme pairing stuff. idk if that was just me but it was bewildering.

hmmmm well since I've been thinking about it a lot, Joshua and Eri would also be really good friends after Joshua becomes more integrated into the main cast friend group and he is also the one to get her into Tin Pin

well it was his identity as Composer but well we know he told someone eventually. I guess I'd say he would never tell Rindo or anyone else wilingly that he was chosen as a proxy. I don't think Joshua would do that twice. I think in that regard he learned his lesson

29. How do you think they would be as a parent? (and if they are a parent, how do you think they would be if they weren't?)

I think its more I don't think he would ever want to be one. if anything the closest I think he's come close to is being a mentor figure, similar to what Mr. H is implied to be towards him. And while I don't think he'd excel at it I think he would do a good enough job depending on the circumstances. but uh given his proxies I dont think it should be willingly tested.

WATCHED SLEEPING BEAUTY FOR SORA’S SIDE AND I—

there’s so much interesting shit that made me go HMMM. Now, much of this is gonna sound like random bs but i’m putting it all in the post bc i can lol everything is soriku cause i say so

We start with “Once Upon A Dream” as the intro credits song. So that’s great. It reminds me of how Cinderella started with a very 👀👀👀 song as well lol. Without even having to put the lyrics we can already see the connection to /dreams/.

“I know you, I walked with you once upon a dream.” i’ve already posted about how this is basically the kh3 secret ending lol ow 😭

anyway, after the song we get the story book intro, telling the story of Princess Aurora’s birth.

“Yes, they named her after the dawn, for she filled their lives with sunshine.”

One thought i had was that the whole first part of the movie actually reminds me of Riku more than Sora, but mostly bc of personal headcanons. The dawn thing stuck out to me for sure, though, for obvious reasons. *cough* Riku’s dawn imagery *cough* But also yeah, aurora’s life is symbolized by the sun.

The prince and the princess are betrothed, Maleficent curses Aurora, and Merriweather gives Aurora her final gift.

“Sweet princess, if through this wicked witch’s trick, a spindle should your finger prick, a ray of hope there still may be in this, the gift I give to thee. Not in death, but just in sleep, this fateful prophecy you’ll keep. And from this slumber you shall wake, when true love’s kiss, the spell shall break.”

(Baby Aurora being taken by three peasant women to be raised in secret vaguely reminds me of riku’s hercules parallel, and even baby xehanort lmao but that’s random bs.)

The way Maleficent is looking for “a maid of sixteen”, and Aurora says it, too. …How old would Sora be now? 👀

The three good fairies send Aurora, now named Briar Rose, out of the house because they’re planning a surprise party for her sixteenth birthday. The green fairy, Fauna, says she’s gonna make Rose a fifteen layer cake, with pink and blue forget-me-nots.

The red and blue fairies are constantly arguing about Rose’s dress being pink or blue, respectively. So the pink and blue thing just made me go 👀🤷🏽‍♀️ And, seriously? Forget-me-nots?

Sora, forgetting. Riku. Yozora. Being true to the one you love. IM—

Anyway. Meanwhile, Rose is out in the forest, singing. And i wanted to note that it interested me that Prince Philip found Rose because he heard her song.

Another random thing I wanted to mention was the art style of the movie in general. I’m not smart, so i’ll just summarize and say the style of the backgrounds is very geometric and often it’s distinctly square. Square trees, for example. We even saw the style replicated in BBS. So that’s there.

I also thought about how the style allows the movie to really like, distinctly show how Rose and Philip are on like, separate planes? Where Rose is in the foreground, and Philip is in the background? It made me think of how Sora and Riku might be on different planes/versions of unreality. But 🤷🏽‍♀️

Also love how at this point, Rose is vocalizing/humming the song “I Wonder”, on her own. (As she waits 👀) And the lyrics to “I Wonder” are pretty dang interesting.

These lines make me think of Sora if the case ends up being something akin to Yozora somehow getting in Riku’s way, keeping Sora from “meeting” him. All guesswork, ofc.

“Oh…a prince. Well, he’s tall and handsome and…and so romantic! Oh, we walk together and talk together…and just before we say goodbye…he takes me in his arms…And then…I wake up.”

“Yes, it’s only in my dreams. But they say if you dream a thing more than once it’s sure to come true. And I’ve seen him so many times.”

I had to include these because. They’re just so good 😭😭😭 (Also bc of secret ending vibes) Make of them what you will.

The way Prince Philip heard Rose’s song and says, “There was something strange about that voice. Too beautiful to be real.” A strange voice, that isn’t real… HMMM

Rose and Philip finally meet and dance and sing “Once Upon A Dream” which is a (waltz) song too perfect for this earth, once they’re finally on the “same plane”. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️👀

Philip asks Rose “Who are you? What’s your name?” AHHHH and Rose can’t tell him AHHHHH (she knows her name, she just isn’t allowed to. making note of it bc wtf is the deal with names lately???)

Back home, the fairies are breaking their “no magic” rule to plan Rose’s party. The red and blue fairies are fighting over making Rose’s dress pink or blue, and that’s what lets Maleficent find Rose after all this time.

Rose comes home super excited about Philip lol it’s adorable. “Just wait till you meet him.”

“You’ve met a stranger?”

“Not a stranger. We’ve met before. Once upon a dream.” THEY WAY SHE KEEPS REPEATING IT

Ofc Rose, or should I say Aurora, is already betrothed to Prince Philip, though Aurora doesn’t know the prince and the guy she just met are the same person. I thought it was interesting, y’know, that the person she loves and the person she’s betrothed to are the same guy, but she doesn’t know it yet.

On Prince Philip’s side, he’s gone back to the castle to tell his dad that he’s met the girl he’s going to marry.

“Change into something suitable! Can’t meet your future bride looking like that!”

“But I have met her, father!”

“You have? Where?”

“Once upon a dream.”

The prince says he wants to marry this peasant girl. Naturally, the king is outraged.

“You’re a prince! And you’re going to marry a princess!”

“Now, father, you’re living in the past. This is the 14th century! Nowadays—”

“Nowadays, I’m still the king! And I command you to come to your senses!”

Lol had to include this bc it seems very similar to another type of argument (smh). I would compare the king to mickey mouse but mickey is ironically one of the people most supportive of riku’s love for sora LMAO

The fairies at this point have snuck Aurora into the castle, since it was agreed Aurora would return on her sixteenth birthday at sunset. The fairies give Aurora a crown. “A crown to wear in grace and beauty, as is thy right and royal duty.” But Aurora’s duty is marrying someone she doesn’t love, living a life she doesn’t want. Very…sus.

The blue fairy is upset on Aurora’s behalf. “I don’t see why she has to marry any old prince.”

“Now, that’s not for us to decide, dear.”

More sus dialogue.

Then the fuckin—real kicker.

Outside, everyone is celebrating and shooting fireworks, because the princess is supposed to return to the castle at sunset. This is supposed to be her big happy reunion with her parents and her betrothed, her happy ending.

“The sun has set! Make ready to welcome your princess!”

Instead, Aurora is left alone, and Maleficent appears before Aurora as a green ball of light. Aurora follows Maleficent’s light, pricks her finger, and fucking DIES. AT SUNSET. EXACTLY. The camera LITERALLY pans from Aurora’s dead body, to the window of the tower. And we watch the sun set and fade away.

“I’ll never forgive myself.” “We’re all to blame!”

And i get that Aurora is the sun, I mean it’s in her name. When she dies, the sun sets. But. I’m talking potential parallels here and. LIKE. OH MY GOD. DUDE. “Lets just have sora fuckin DIE at sunset, too!” BITCH—

But she’s “not in death, just in sleep.” So the fairies put her sleeping body to rest in the tallest tower of the castle *cough* 104 building *cough*, and put the whole kingdom to sleep until Aurora awakens.

And the fucking sonngggg, dudeee. The SONG.

“Lips that shame the red, red rose,

Dreaming of true love in slumber repose.

One day he will come,

As the fairies are putting the kingdom to sleep, the red fairy hears Philip’s father, the king, mumbling about the peasant girl Philip met.

“Where? Where?!”

“Once upon a dream.”

Prince Philip went back to Aurora’s home in the forest, where he gets ambushed and kidnapped by Maleficent (who gives a srsly good but twisted speech 😭). The fairies try to rescue him at the Forbidden Mountain, Maleficent’s home.

The red fairy turns the projectiles they’re being attacked with into bubbles and flowers, and when Maleficent’s army tries pouring boiling liquid onto Philip, the red fairy turns it into a rainbow 🌈 . Which, nice. (they also turn the raven to stone, which, also nice lol)

We know the story from there. The forest of thorns around the castle, the bridge fight, dragon Maleficent—

The fairies arm Philip with a Shield of Virtue, and a Sword of Truth. wanted to note that.

And when Philip defeats Maleficent, her magic dies with her. The thorns fade, and Philip enters the castle.

Philip looks up at the tower. And we see THE SUNRISE SHINE ON AURORA’S TOWER. SPECIFICALLY. In that moment.

I love this detail because even though it was in the song, we also see here that even though Aurora’s life is represented by the rise and set of the sun, PHILIP is SPECIFICALLY the SUNRISE. The sunrise isn’t necessarily Aurora, yet, because she’s still dead asleep.

The prince is the dawn.

Philip wakes Aurora with true love’s first kiss. The kingdom wakes up. Philip’s dad is trying to tell Aurora’s dad about how Philip wants to marry a peasant girl instead of a princess. But it’s weird bc the king has seemingly changed his attitude? And now he’s okay with Philip marring a peasant? And he’s trying to tell this to Aurora’s father:

“Well, after all, Stefan, this is the 14th century.”

“Yes, you, uh, you said that a moment ago.”

“Well, to come right to the point, my son Philip says he’s going to marry—“

But Aurora and Philip come down the stairs before he can finish. They waltz to Once Upon A Dream, the red and blue fairies are still bickering over the pink or blue dress, the scene shows Aurora and Philip waltzing in the clouds, happy endings all around. Yay!

I imagine he also has light scrapes and scars on his legs from falling, both with skateboarding and general Clumsy Shit.

Also this one switches a lot but with Trans Hajime, I can see him with top surgery scars.

Oh ah, I like freckled Hajime!! It’s cute. This one goes with the sports hc, but I like the idea that he’s kinda tanned. Entirely unrelated but I also like the idea that he has calluses from playing guitar.

Mahiru……hmm well freckles obviously dkjfksjd. I think she’s tanned as well since I feel like she likes sunlit shots. Idk I don’t have much. I like to think she’s got a stockier body type though.

Akane!! Buff lady, could probably deadlift me or something. She’s definitely got some scars from running around, especially when she was first learning parkour. Ummm oh, I like to think she has a chipped tooth or smth like that from falling roughly as a kid.

Soniaa <33 in my heart she will always be tall and have at least some muscle. Novoselic is a war country if I remember correctly, she’s definitely got some military training in her.

Idk why but her with heterochromia just popped into my head. That pretty greenish blue gray that she has + maybe brown or hazel? I think that’d be cool. And hip dips.

oooooooooohh nooo thats so cute :(((( what u said abt young eden is so true omgg. they r also def the type of kid that brings stray cats n dogs 2 their home. so evrytime the orphanage carataker hears a meowing or barking inside they r like "gdi eden not AGAIN!!" but it wouldnt stop them lol. they r the type that r immune to scolding. after finishing wth being scolded theyll go back 2 do exactly what they r told not 2 do. oh n also they enjoy rough playing. so on top of being covered in dirt or mud, theyll always have bruises n scratches from getting into fights or just from falling or running around. also they have a habit of like, suddenly disappearing (maybe 2 the forest which makes them hard 2 track).

and lol ye i saw it, it made me go hmmm, a true missed opportunity. eden wouldnt let the chance pass. im manifesting a future update where we could give them oral spiderman style 🙏

a bit off topic but i was wondering if u have any ideas or hcs about eden n baileys relationship/friendship?? idk. eden being slightly aggressive n mad at u after they rescue(???) u from bailey when u miss ur payment kinda throw me off ngl. bc they dont act that way when they rescue you from remys farm or the asylum. like, wtf is going on??? idk. its a bit of head scratcher for me.

Ooooo boy Eden and Bailey's past is something I often think about.

Under a cut for sheer length

Okay so I think they are about the same age (late 20s to early 40s) and that they grew up in the orphanage together.

I think Eden was there since very young/birth, but Bailey came later.

Eden not having sole primary care takers fucked up their socialising skills and they felt more comfortable on their own (read:fear of abandonment).

Bailey I think came from a really abusive impoverished home, and thats what made them obsessed with money. They have a weird vendetta against their birth parents to be 'better' than them.

Eden had a stray dog they cared for, but one day when they were running through the forest, a wolf got at it. Hence their 'non of these would survive in the wild' line at the pet store, and their obvious interest in puppy play.

After that, Eden started to shut off even more, being aggressive with the other kids, until Bailey started hanging out with them.

Bailey was angry to be in an orphanage and could see that Eden obviously wasn't happy, so they sort of gravitated towards each other.

Bailey was also the only other kid that didn't cry when Eden hit them.

They're the only two people that know each other's birthdays, besides anyone who looks at their very real legal documents.

As they hit puberty and start growing, they get competitive. Both are rather controlling, so they make a ton of bets against each other. One of them being who can lose their virginity the fastest.

Eden is rather blunt at asking, scaring a lot of the potential partners off, while Bailey is smoother about it and of course wins the bet.

Some fellow orphans start going missing, making everyone uneasy.

This is also when they start noticing the rampant sexual assualt in town, travelling as two most of the time so they can fight people off easier, if needs be.

Terrible at school. Eden was great at English, decent at history, but good luck making them show up half of the time. Eden had a talent for art, however, particularly carvings.

Bailey was there to socialise and steal lunch money, but they had okay grades.

If this is set in England, they would have gone to a secondary school with a sixth form. This means ages 11-18 as students, and I hc that when they were in year 7 (1st year of secondary) Leighton was in sixth form (years 12 and 13). They did not get along for the brief time they would meet in the halls.

I also think Eden would have dropped out in year 11, at age 16, and probably had an apprenticeship with a woodworking company (explains making the coat rack and love seat).

Bailey starts getting into more and more criminal activities, dragging Eden into them too, until a local crime boss notices them. The boss takes Bailey under their wing, thinking Eden won't be right for the job.

Instead they ask Eden to get a job at the police station and help them get further footholds there, that's how Eden has all of those collars (inspired by that one anon), and possibly their rifle. Alternatively, Eden leaves for the military and comes back later.

It works, and they end up covering a lot of their tracks. It's probably around this point that Landry does a few smaller jobs around the place and starts hearing about the Boss' new protégé.

They both have money now, for the first time in there lives, and this is when their differences start to show.

Bailey wants more and more, where as Eden wants to be comfortable.

Bailey fits into the mobster life fairly easily, but instead of the drugs that a lot of the others peddle, Bailey specialises in extortion and blackmail.

They slowly end up getting quite a few powerful figures under their control, and when the boss dies and Bailey ends up in charge of the money? They buy the orphanage.

I think Bailey might have cared for the orphans at one point, in their own ways, but their greed got the better of them.

Working under the mob and the corrupt police has Eden start to hate and fear the town. The only place they felt safer was the forest - which was full of deadly animals. But Eden could protect themselves now.

Being tall and muscular means that Eden is often sent to intimidate or even physically hurt people, often times getting hurt as well. Not to mention when arresting people, some are rather adverse to going to jail and take stabs at them.

If I go with Eden joining the military, they come home hoping to have a familiar setting calm their nerves, but it doesn't. Working for Bailey to earn money also doesn't help, one job having them break into the police station and setting fire to their files (that's another way Eden could find the collars, think of their old dog, and take them in nostalgia).

Eden cracks when they're asked to kill someone off, only to realise its a kid. That's too far.

They go to Bailey and tell them they're done. They need an out, they're fucking miserable, barely sleeping, constantly anxious, and Bailey tries to convince them to stay at first, before realising that they could lose their best friend once and for all if they force them to stay.

So they start planning together what Eden should do, and eventually come up with the cabin. Bailey has Quinn/their predecessor in their pocket by this point, so some cash and threats have some builders help make it, including running water.

When in town, Eden supplies Bailey with animal furs for custom coats. Bailey gets Eden new books, cans of food, more bullets. And if you miss your payment, Bailey eventually gifts Eden with a spouse.

Eden gets angry if they 'rescue' you from Bailey cause its a reminder of the past they try to avoid, and they take it out on you. Of the fear they had as a young orphan of disappearing, something Bailey is now enforcing on more orphans. They take it out on you because violence has always been a way they've coped.

Occasionally, maybe on one of those birthdays, they sit at the lake and drink some whiskey together. They don't talk about their feelings, they're both too stunted for that. But it's comforting knowing each other is still alive and well.

Hmmm well, it's been forever since i've watched anime other than my big 3 (Haikyuu, One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen) but let's see if I can wrangle up any memories of anime I've watched in the past lmao....

One anime that ALWAYS comes to mind when people ask for recs is B Gata H Kei (Yamada's First Time), especially the English dub, because it's so fuckin' funny. It's about a high school girl trying to lose her virginity so it's got a lot of sexual themes but I feel like they're portrayed really well and so, so embarrassing. Every time I watch it, I cringe through the awkwardness but unlike other things that give me secondhand embarrassment, I just LOVE it. I've literally cried laughing while watching this show and I even bought it on Blu-ray, which is a huge compliment because Im a cheap ass who only buys anime that I REALLY love (Haikyuu)

Another great comedy is Space Dandy, which I also enjoy watching the dub of. Space Dandy is my partner's favorite so we own that one too lmao

If you like the classics then obviously Trigun, Samurai Champloo, and Baccano! are on the list for me. I believe it is very difficult to find Baccano to watch though. Like, it's probably on some unofficial streaming sites but it's nowhere legal like crunchyroll or funimation or what have you. At least not when i last checked. I actually wanted to buy Baccano because I love it so much but it's just... not around lmao rip

If you enjoy some more serious stuff then I really enjoyed 91 Days.

Erased is another good one, though beware because it does contain some dark themes such as child abuse

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijo (Daily Lives of High School Boys) is a fun comedy that always makes me laugh

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun is so so good too

If you like really peaceful anime then Natsume Yujin-cho is 👌👌

Usagi Drop is soooooo cute but DON'T LOOK UP THE MANGA. Seriously, just enjoy the anime for what it is and pretend that there is no manga because that shit got ruined and just knowing how it ends almost ruins the anime for me lmao just kill your curiosity rn

I never finished it but Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken was really good from what I saw of it. I'm just terrible at finishing things lmao

It's been a long time since I've seen it but I remember really liking School Rumble 🤔

Ohhh and Megalobox! Love it

Gakuen Handsome is a true masterpiece, a work of art, so I def recommend that one too

danny phantom 14-20 thoughts!! I finished up s1 :D these last few eps were actually really really good!!!

-did. did tucker really just say esperanto was a dead language only spoken as a secret code between geeks. google says around 100,000 people actively speak it. oh my god...it being an auxiliary language doesn't mean its 'just for geeks to speak in code' ...it helps bridge gaps between people who don't have a language in common...

-danny really isn't pulling punches when it comes to fighting the ghost-cop possessed people huh. like he SLAMMED KWAN INTO THE CONCRETE SO HARD. HE THREW PAULINA INTO A BILLBOARD. will that...I mean it WOULD carry over to their bodies non-possessed, right? like if the ghost piloting their bodies gets hurt?? itd be so upsetting to be possessed, lose time, then wake up covered in bruises (and possibly, broken bones??) real horror movie stuff im sure wont be addressed in any way

-fright knight's murder castle reminds me of the booby trapped murder castle in zexal!! another supposedly 'for kids' show with murder/trap castles! we love that. if you are a dp fan reading this, give yugioh zexal a try. its also got 13-14 year old protags and involves (alien) ghosts. the cardgame is just a vessel for the plot, which is really good. (I just want more people to watch my fav yugioh, man)

-johnny and danny bein friends and staging a fake fight (which danny takes too seriously, once again this child has aggression he NEEDS TO WORK OUT) I hope these three stay friends, I said it before but danny needs more friendly ghosts to hang with.

-at this point, Danny's ghost enemies are a lot like, I dunno, batman's rouge gallery is the first thing that comes to mind. they all have their own gimmick and unique designs, but most of them are easy to beat after learning the Moral Lesson. I still get excited when any of them show up again, though. 18 is another valerie episode!!!! :D skulker really said you two will get along if I have to handcuff you together <3 and the gym teacher really said, youre married now, have a flour baby! ngl, I'm not really watching this show for the shipping stuff (which I am very scared to look at the fandom for after I finish this watch through- I feel like there's probably discourse/arguing about ships...) but. I'm gonna put my opinion out there. valerie/danny > sam/danny. maybe I just really love the enemies to lovers trope. And the secret identity stuff adds Extra Flavor.

HE REALLY NEEDS A LESSON IN MANAGING COLLATERAL DAMAGE!!! So does valerie!! They're both pretty focused on each other. I mean it's good of Danny to say he's trying to make sure PEOPLE don't get hurt, but... (I mean I guess it's not something 14 year olds WOULD worry about, but as an adult im like, who's going to fix that? how much money will that take??)

-TUCKER MAKING BANK. and sam and tucker being super emotionally attached to their flour baby and being pretty good parents. that's cute...also him just straight kissing her and being like. WAIT. O_O JDSKAFHD. his mom baking them into cookies was the funniest possible result. tbh I dont feel like this is on tucker, if anything the other kid's shouldve been more responsible! He was just taking an opportunity to get that $$ which I respect

-Danny being more understanding of Valerie's situation in the end (helping her at her job, too, and trying to keep that a secret for her!!!) And seeing them work together this ep, and also her letting phantom get her out of the ghost zone...was very sweet. LOVE that. more valerie eps pls

-'my family has controlled ghosts with this for generations!' WAIT. WAIT FREAKSHOW /ISNT/ A GHOST? I didn't expect that...he's just a fucked up guy controlling ghosts? anyway watching danny shoot at police cars and rob banks while mind controlled. its like, the most stereotypical 'bad' things lmao. (tbh an evil ghost circus troupe is a sick concept)

(also fully gonna answer the one u sent me i just had a busy night 💚) — hmmm would personally love to hear more abt the Matthews-Faulkner-Stanheight-Blank family dynamic? esp maybe Daniel + Art, but rlly just anything u wanna talk abt there! maybe if they have any sorta family traditions, what holidays look like for them, that sorta deal

also oooo I love this question okay. so like u mentioned this when I asked abt what Eric n Daniel's relationship would b like post-trap, but I think it's very very good fr Daniel 2 like. see tht Eric has ppl who love him n who don't mind helping him when he needs it n who are THERE fr him bc again, like you've mentioned, seeing a parent so utterly shattered th way Eric was after his trap is incredibly difficult, esp for a kid (though Daniel is like. at least seventeen? still). knowing tht his dad has a good support system n is surrounded by ppl tht care abt him helps put him at ease bc he knows he can trust Adam n Art. he knows they'll keep Eric safe n tht they'll help him to heal, tht they love him n want 2 see him do well n get better. plus, Daniel knows tht if he needs to talk 2 some1 abt how difficult seeing his dad like tht is, he knows both Adam n Art r there fr him and tht helps a lot. of course, he also has Rigg + maybe Hoffman (until th whole. u know.), but they don't live w Eric. they don't see him every day th way Art n Adam do. that's not 2 say they don't know Eric is struggling, but there is a difference btwn them n Eric's boyfriends. basically, Daniel is very much grateful fr Art + Adam.

I feel like Art wld be VERY good at lending an ear fr when Daniel needs 2 talk. whether that be abt their trap + tht whole experience, Eric's trap n the consequences/rough aftermath, just plain venting, etc.; Art is there 2 listen to them + offer a solution if they want one. most times I think Daniel just wants to b listened to, esp when it comes to what they went thru in the Nerve Gas House - tht's smth they don't feel comfortable discussing w Eric right away fr obvious reasons, but therapy can only do so much. I think th two of them have more in common than they might realize at first, bc hey, Art Killed A Man Because Trevor Was Going To Kill Him If He Didn't, and Daniel Killed A Man Because Xavier Would Have Killed Both Them And Amanda If They Didn't. I feel like Art is like. very reserved abt th details of his first trap + how they affected him (and th second one tbh; it's not smth he vocalizes often at all), but fr Daniel he wld gladly talk abt it if it meant Daniel didn't feel alone. if it meant it could help them, reassure them that hey, it wasn't yr fault, u did what u had to, n I know tht can be hard 2 believe right now n that's okay. u need to process things at yr own pace.

and so Art tells them abt the Mausoleum, bares a part of himself he keeps locked away where he doesn't often give it much thought/actively ignores it. n I think tht's healing fr him too, maybe. there's solace in tht shared experience, as horrible as it was in th moment. 2 know there's someone out there who has even th faintest inkling of what u went thru + what u had to do to survive. of course Daniel relates 2 Adam fr this reason too, but like. Art will use his Lawyer Voice n make sure Daniel understands tht what they did doesn't make them a bad person or confirm tht Jigsaw Was Right And They Deserved It. n tht's rly important fr Daniel 2 hear, esp early on. it's honestly one of th first times Art is truly honest abt his feelings on th matter + the Mausoleum, n it's just. a step tht much closer to healing for both of them.

family traditions!!! they do have a few! in the summer, every sunday they have Daniel w them, Eric Art n Adam go out fr ice cream, even if they get it at the drive thru n eat it in th car bc none of them want 2 be around all th people/sit outside in th muggy weather. it's a good way to get them all out of th house fr a little while, something enjoyable tht doesn't require too much energy or even interaction. it's just smth nice they can do where they're all together n chilling n just enjoying each other's company!

this is mostly a Daniel one but every year around April Fools he just. puts fucking googly eyes on everything. n every time some1 discovers some, it doesn't matter where in th house he is, u can hear him cackle abt it. Adam thinks it's an absolute delight n has assisted on multiple occasions. tht's abt as far as pranks go fr them, bc none of them like surprises like that, but god is it ever hilarious 2 hear Eric frm the kitchen while Art Adam n Daniel r in the living room when he says "I found another one!" while he's looking fr smth in the fridge kjdkfsf.

holidays!! every Christmas they all sit down in th living room n watch a couple of movies w the blankets spread out on th floor w snacks n hot chocolate. the first Christmas following his trap, Eric was sat on th couch between Adam n Art while Daniel chose to sprawl out on th floor, n he just looked around at his boyfriends n his son n the fake pine tree they had all decorated together n he like. needs to take a moment bc this is it. this is all he cld ever want out of life right here. this is a level of peace Eric never knew he wld ever be able to reach after what he went thru fr those six months. n he just sort of presses his face into Art's shoulder n breathes thru it. he doesn't even have to say anything fr Adam n Art to know what he's thinking bc Adam's hand is on his arm n Art's resting his cheek against th top of his head, n he might cry a little, but he's happy. surrounded by th ppl he loves n who love him, love him enough to keep the lights down low n the volume on th television soft, to use subtitles so he doesn't get overwhelmed, Eric realizes he has a home n it's just. oof.

fr Valentine's Day, this one was actually Adam's idea initially: wht they do is take sticky notes n write little affirmations on thm fr each other, n stick thm in places where they'll see it. sometimes Daniel joins in on this one, but usually it's an Art Eric Adam thing. so like it'll be little things, like a note frm Adam telling Eric how proud he is of him, or one from Art letting Adam know he couldn't have had a better best friend, or th one from Eric that thanks th both of thm fr helping him w his rashes + helping him 2 accept tht part of him n start to see it as nothing to be ashamed of. it starts on th first day of February and ends on Valentine's Day itself, n sometimes they get those packs of cards u get fr kids just to write goofy shit on thm to pass back n forth n make each other laugh. they also get th discounted candy!! (Adam steals all th twix bars tho. tht's okay bc Eric likes snickers anyway n Art is fond of reese's peanut butter cups. they share th sweet tarts + conversation hearts!)

Halloween is when they get a big bowl of candy 2 leave on th porch fr the kids who're trick-or-treating while th three of them stay inside (+Daniel sometimes!) n watch some classics, like their Christmas tradition. they Also add in some bad movies 2 mix it up a lil bit bc sometimes u just need a laugh. I am like in Lov w the idea u had abt Eric n Adam sometimes building cozy pillow forts, so they do tht n the three of them just vibe in there n lay together n look n talk. n like it's So Much Fun 2 have ppl to like. discuss movies w while yr watching them! esp when they're ppl who won't be annoyed w u when u wanna share a thought! like Eric n Adam will get into this deep discussion abt horror movie decisions n Art will just lay there n listen bc he loves them so much n loves hearing them get amped up abt things. he'll offer his own two cents if asked too! mostly he listens, but he can definitely contribute.

inevitably at some point, someone's hand ends up in Eric's hair n he's just. asleep not too long after that. usually on someone's shoulder or against their chest, n depending on who's still awake, they either try 2 move to th bedroom or they just sleep in th living room (i.e.: Art will try to convince Eric n Adam to come to bed properly, whereas Adam will just b like "fuck it" n pass out right there. has this led 2 them waking up sore b4? absolutely. but it's like. "we r adults who live w our decisions n this one happened 2 be sleeping on th floor" so.

n then a minor one is on their birthdays, some1 (usually Art, to be completely honest w u) will cook tht person their favourite comfort food fr dinner n they all help make cake/cupcakes/cookies/something dessert-related of their choice. so like Art rly likes brownies, Adam is fond of strawberry jello poke cake, n Eric can make some RLY good carrot cake cupcakes w homemade frosting too. it's just smth fr them to do together + like! it's celebrating! they've all been thru so much hell but they're still here! n that's rly th focus for the three of them. sometimes they have ppl over too - like Rigg, Gibson, Brit, Mallick, Lawrence, William (all of them best-case, obv); it's nice 2 have a lil party sometimes! after what they've endured they've kind of earned it I think!

good news, sluts! my brain's no longer being completely stupid (only mostly), i've seen the new asides and...have some thought-y thot thoughts:

Okay, first things first: this art style is soooo fucking cUTE and I'm a jealous, squealing bitch. Anyone who knows who the artist is, could you link me to them, stat? I think Thomas mentioned them at the beginning of the ep, but nYeh, brain hurt, doesn't wanna do wooork-

Okay, I'll admit, I was a little...apprehensive when I first saw the thumbnail and title. Part of it's just me being a bitter Remus Stan, but also...okay, deep breaths, controversial opinion time, get ready:

I don't ship Prinxiety.

Like, at all.

I can see the appeal, and these dorks were so very, VERY cute in this particular ep, but I was honestly turned off by the ship long ago due to how overwhelmingly popular it is and how some fans characterize these two and treat this relationship as if it's the only valid one, y'know, the works—slight tangent, but that's also why I don't ship Logicality or Remile. I honestly vibe much better with ships like Roceit or Analogical, y'know?

Cutting in for another brief tangent: I'm surprisingly okay with Demus/Dukeceit/Receit/Trashnoodle/Whatever-Their-Ship-Name-Is-Oh-God-Why-Do-They-Have-So-Many-Fucking-Names; maybe it's cause they haven't actually interacted in canon and the fan content gives me such good Gay Disney Villain content, idk man im weird—).

Still, their interactions were both hilarious and sweet and like I said, I see the appeal, it's just not my cup of tea. y'all Prinxiety fans got fucking FED and I'm happy for you nerds. Enjoy ze happy boys!

I guess another factor in my...low-key hesitance when I first saw what the ep was about is that...okay, get ready, another controversial opinion, le gasp: well, I'm not a big Virgil fan. In fact, at times, he swaps places with Patton as my least favorite sides—especially with some of his recent behavior in eps like DWIT (the "prohibit your breathing comment" really triggered me, for example). Sometimes, his attitude, especially around other sides like Roman or Janus, reminds me a little too much of my sister, who I don't have...a very good relationship with. Add to that how the more...intense side of the fandom has a disturbing tendency to turn him into the 'uwu precious woobie emo baby who can do no wrong' while unnecessarily villainizing other CERTAIN sides in the process, and...I think you all see where I'm going with this little rant 😅

However, upon actually watching the ep, he wasn't...that bad? I don't think? I enjoyed watching him be a flustered, disaster-y mess and genuinely excited at the end, his interactions with Roman were nice enough, and him literally pushing Thomas to make a move with Nico despite his obvious panic attack was a nice moment of genuine character development. I like seeing that, that's the good shit right there. And him being all flustered and shit, and smiling so much at the end of the vid was just...well, adorable. This man has no fucking right to be this cute, my god

AHAHAHA YESSSSS oh my gosh i love the royal tenenbaums so much!! like my favourite wes film is either fantastic mr fox or rushmore, but yes!! grand budapest is rly pretty tho and i think that’s why so many people gravitate towards it yk? I DID WATCH BURNING actually i was super lucky and got to watch it at TIFF before it ‘officially’ premiered + there was a lil q&a with the cast and director (w a translator ehehe) but it absolutely blew me away. i’m just in love with korean cinema as a whole. i have yet to watch a korean film that i don’t like!!

little women is just !!!!!!! i love greta so much and i can’t wait to see what else she creates; i just feel like greta is a woman director creating films FOR WOMEN. does that make sense??? well-known women directors are already so sparse, but there are some (ie bigelow) who create uhhhhhh films that cater more towards men and the masses??? and that’s not to say that bigelow isn’t a fantastic director, because she IS, but i really like sofia coppola and greta gerwig because their films are so feminine and focused on feminine issues and relationships that we really don’t see on widespread/popular screens (like at first run theatres ie multiplexes).
