ok, i really believed in the crowley raphael theory actually. like, it made a lot of sense. but ive looked into angel hierarchy and archangels may be powerful, but they aren’t as high in the hierachy.
muriel said to open that file you‘d have to be a throne or a dominion or above. above throne and dominion are only left cherubim and then seraphim.
only from the descriptions i wouldve said that crowley was a virtue, cause they are most associated with nature and stars and planets and run the operation of movement in the universe. that would fit a lot to what angel crowley did before the beginning, setting the engine into motion.
but he‘s higher ranked cause he can open the file.
i would guess, that crowley was either a dominion, who govern the universe, or a cherubim, and they are assigned to protect special places, maybe the universe or earth.
i still think that the raphael theory makes sense to a certain point and maybe they changed the hierarchy in the series but if they didn’t then i dont think that crowley was raphael/an archangel but rather a higher ranked angel

Okay. So. I had a whole 1700+ word essay written about my thoughts on too many bl fans assuming actors are straight but it was very uhhh rant formatted and got too heated so I’m gonna try again and be a little more chill and concise abt it…
Let me get straight to the point. I didn’t mention fanservice or shipping real people in that little post I made (I wasn’t expecting it to get any notes tbh lmao) but that’s very much related to what I’m talking about. In my experience, being vehemently against fanservice and rps goes hand in hand with assuming these actors are straight which is of course heteronormativity (homophobia!).
Fanservice & shipping are a vital part to the bl ecosystem, and they aren’t going away any time soon. And I don’t mean because it’s great for promoting a product or an upcoming series (which, yes, it can be, not denying that) but fanservice, in fact, queers our perception of “truth” and “reality” when it comes to these actors’ lives. When an actor is purposefully vague about their relationship or sexuality, they’re able to simultaneously not put themselves at risk by being “out” in a more traditional/upfront (perhaps western…) sense while also being capable of being perceived as queer to some degree by their audience. Infinite homosexuality glitch! Shippers are important because they play a role in believing their fav bl couple are together for real aka they are gay for real (also it’s just fun to do…). Yes, some people overstep boundaries but for the most part people are capable of being respectful.
I see a lot of people say bl actors are absolutely not dating each other and 99% of them are straight and probably even homophobic etc. constantly but like… who told you that? If anything, a job where you’re perceived as gay while still being not out enough (having such a hard time phrasing what I mean by this lol) to keep your safety would be way more appealing to literal queer people right? And surely most actors know what they’re getting into by partaking? Yes there can be issues with fanservice, rps, etc. but I can’t help but notice everyone seems to be focused on the issues and never the benefits. Assuming the majority of bl actors are straight is just plain homophobic, and I might argue it’s counterproductive to resist and say it’s “none of my business” when they’re purposefully going out of their way to make it our business (if you’re not into fanservice/shipping that’s fine whatever but what I’m saying is they are trying to make a point to be visibly queer on some level). Yeah, not everyone is gay, I know. But I have a good feeling there’s a lot more queer people in the industry than most people assume.

something something..
percy: who's side are you on, anyway? luke: oh [annabeth's]. always
something something..
percy: so if the gods fight ... will it be athena vs. poseidon? annabeth: ... i just know i'll fight next to you.
something about luke picking annabeth's side and annabeth picking percy's and percy picking annabeth's and annabeth picking luke's. and the three of them spinning around and around for years. something about luke betraying annabeth after she's found a new person to fight beside. something about luke calling her to his side again because he misses being on hers. something about luke picking annabeth's side at the end of it all, because annabeth picked luke's, and something about percy picking annabeth's side because annabeth picked his, even if, in those final moment's, annabeth had picked luke's side as well.

Normally I'd consider having breakdowns as a waste of time and a nuisance, berating myself but mostly my brain for being triggered by the most random things ever that I never saw coming and then having a huge dramatic reaction that I cannot find any justifications or reasons for, that even I'm left confused by (so let alone even attempting to explain anything to anyone else).
But, subhanAllah, in Ramadan, even the biggest breakdown over the most unexpected and random thing, feels like it has a purpose and it's not a waste or a nuisance. It feels like your heart is just wanting to be torn open in front of Allah for Him عز وجل to mend the wounds even you can't make sense of; to mend your heart that has been broken in such a way that you don't even remember any of the origins of any of the scars, they've just been there since what seems like forever.
I think, of all the possible times to break down, Ramadan is the most ideal time to break down in front of Allah عز وجل, because this is the month of dua and this is the season of healing and this is the month of Qur'an and we feel a closer connection to our Lord and our Deen than we usually do throughout the year. So even after we break, there's no better time to pick ourselves up and return to Allah with whatever of ourselves and our hearts that remain. Because nobody except Allah can mend and heal us from our deepest traumas and fears and insecurities. May Allah have mercy on us all ameen.

Bruh I've known for years that I have visual processing issues (separate from my actual vision problems) but I never really looked into the specifics of how it works before. I know sometimes, especially when my brain is tired, I have trouble making sense of shapes and separating the foreground of images from the background. So I can see the image perfectly fine but I can't make out what it is, even if it's something that should be very obvious like a singer crouching at the edge of a stage (actual example). Those moments are a lot like auditory processing issues, where you can technically hear what someone is saying just fine but your brain can't parse it into words. And when I'm having a lot of trouble with this sort of thing, image descriptions are helpful for me. I figured that was just what visual processing disorder was right?
Well now I'm reading more about it and it turns out that there are 8 different types of visual processing skills and VPD can affect any of them. The issues I just described would fall primarily under visual foreground issues bc it stems mainly from not being able to distinguish the foreground (singer) from the background (stage and audience). But it probably also involves some visual closure issues bc I have trouble figuring out what the full shape is if part of it is cut off (like if the singer is kneeling in such a way that not all of their limbs are fully visible), as well as form constancy issues bc I have trouble recognizing familiar shapes if they're in an unexpected position/context (singer kneeling close to the audience instead of standing on stage)
Reading more about form constancy has got me really mind blown actually. I have a lot of quirks that I always just attributed to autism/ADHD. I can't find objects in plain sight, for one thing, especially if they're in a different location than normal. I can set something down on a table right out in the open and almost immediately lose it if there's other objects nearby for it to "blend into." If I'm looking for something in a cabinet or the fridge or even just on a slightly crowded counter I have to ask my gf to remind me what color it is so I can just pick out the color, bc otherwise I can look forever and not find it. Even if I make a conscious effort to check each individual item, I can look right at it multiple times and still not process that it's the object I'm looking for. I have to make it a habit to always put things back in the exact same spot bc otherwise I can't see them. The other day I went to get a new roll of toilet paper from our toiletry shelf and I thought "damn, we're almost out, I better order some more." I didn't realize until I bought a new box and went to stack it on the shelf that there was already an entire new box right there, just slightly to the left. And this isn't even "tired brain" processing, this is my everyday normal
And apparently... that's all described as symptoms of form constancy issues? Like, some of the things optometrists warn parents to watch out for when determining if their child has VPD are "difficulty finding missing items quickly even if they are in plain sight" and "difficulty recognizing objects when placed in a new location"
Another issue I have is a ridiculous inability to orient myself, know my way around familiar places, or understand where I am in relation to other places. I still have to use GPS to get to shops near my home that I've been going to for years and I have no idea what direction anything is in. My gf and I once had some fun playing a game where we stood in our living room and she asked me to point in the directions of things like "the store across the street" and "the entrance to our apartment complex" and "the mailboxes" and "the dumpster by our building" and I was unable to get any of them correct. Part of it is bc even if I DO manage to memorize my way around somewhere it's just a single-line map telling me when to turn to get from point A to point B and it falls apart if I try to come at it from any other angle, and part of it is due to an inability to judge distances (I have taken the extreme long way around on multiple occasions bc I couldn't tell that "just around the corner of that side of the building" was a shorter distance than going around the opposite side of the building, circling around the back, and then coming in from the other direction)
...Turns out that another aspect of form constancy issues is "difficulty judging distances" and "difficulty picturing objects at different angles." Aaaand during this research I happened to stumble across a site with little baby games to help young kids with visual processing issues practice to improve their form constancy skills and uh. It's kinda kicking my ass 😭
I learned some FUN things about myself tonight lads

Really tho reading stone butch blues n reading leslie feinberg saying 2 the effct of "i dont categorize myself in th ideas of gender thr the western world provides" rlly did change smth in me & make me understand thr gender rlly is nothing more than what ppl seeing u on the outside see . U know in yr heart what u feel & whether or not it fits among what strict boxes Society™️ puts up 4 Us . Ofc its fine if u do feel like u fit into what u were designated at birth but like . At the Very least u have 2 @ least Acknowledge that those boxes will never fit Every single prism of experience encased in each nd every human being. I jus think our need n desire 2 categorize Every feeling n type of person has become overbearing n counterintuitive 2 visualizing a world w/o boundries.....as soon as u understand the needlessness of gender as a whole the sooner u can accur8ly advoc8 4 people who dont find themselves represented in these massive boxes

The format of Dracula daily is something vampiric in itself. Dracula, as it was originally written, was an epistolary. Although we get multiple perspectives, our reading of the novel isn’t in chronological order but through which sequence Mina decides to put them in. One purpose of this is to add to the believability. That these are something real people wrote and recounted. When reread in chronological order, particularly as a serial narrative that comes out as it was written, it returns to older vampiric stories. Specifically: Carmilla & Varney the Vampyre, the latter of which is a penny dreadful. Form is an important thing in vampire tradition. The way a story is told adds as much as the content in it. Our view of Dracula may change because it’s been serialized. If you know the ending, in this form Mina is no longer the one in control of how things are ordered (and therefore can she be trusted any longer with her claiming her scar went away? That things ended happily ever after?) (could she be trusted with that originally?) (her agency is removed). But it might also add to that same believability. I haven’t looked into if it exists but I thought a found footage version of Dracula would be fantastic, especially if it was made in a time before the internet where things could be looked up & revealed easily. We get closer to that through real time updates. Simply by returning to older vampiric storytelling there’s an additional uncanny horror effect. Dracula and Varney are both Byronic. The format is similar, the story is different or perhaps vice versa however you choose to view it, and yet… this Byronic vampire lives forever.

holy shit Pico looks so freaking nice there! Though I have to say that I had a friggin double-take when I saw you mention that he's like in his 20s there. I'm just "wtf I thought he was a bit older here, not friggin younger" lmao
That life-style stress doesn't do him favors, but he's in his maybe late twenties there. I'll admit my art style's in a weird phase right now where I'm struggling with how I want my faces to look (realistic shaped, simple eyes? The rounded cartoony cheeks? Which one?? How do I make it look good???) I'm still in "art puberty" as you can see lmfao, so that's probably why he looked older augh
