There is something kinda terrifying to me about how Ink's magic (as in the whole forcibly giving soulings to people even if they don't want one with ink) works in curiosity and suspect to me

Although I would like to specify- there does have to be an emotional desire to hold a child for a soulling to be forced upon someone (like with Dream and Palette). PaperJam and Acetone weren’t formed by the same kind of magic Palette was. (And later on, unfortunately for Sci, it’ll be revealed that that the only kind of magic they’ll be able to prevent will be the one with the intent to actually create a child.)

PaperJam and Acetone were both results of Ink’s magic mixing together with something it shouldn’t- wether it’s Error’s glitchy magic or a chemical that can remove color, it doesn’t exactly matter.

Ink’s magic was more used to interacting with Error’s, so it took longer for PaperJam to form. It’s also why they didn’t know about him at first! Ink and the other stars typically clean up wherever it is that Ink and Error fight, but since they had fought in the anti-void, the stars didn’t remind I k to clean it and both Ink and Error forgot about it. It took ages of the magics combining in the anti-void before the creation magic within Ink helped form a soul, as a creator wished for a child to be formed from it! (I think we all know who lol. Hi Angel, if u see this).

As for Acetone, their soul and being was formed more as a self-defense against the acetone that had been introduced to the magic ink. The only way to have saved itself would have been to become something that couldn’t be effected by the chemical, so it forcibly took Sci’s magic to make the soul as fast as it physically could. (This is also why Acetone’s soul is transparent, and why Acetone’s magic acts like, well, Acetone.)

It’s absolutely certainly still terrifying, but I promise that the ones that were made without ANY form of consent had a very specific reason for forming, as well as for forming the way that they did. The only monsters who might actually get pregnant from Ink and go through whatever their version of a pregnancy is (varies from monster to monster) are those who genuinely want to bear a child.

Parents

C-P’s birth was natural. At the start, Ink was the one mothering the soulling (child’s soul before birth) but the fact he doesn’t have a soul led to complications of which made Color take the decision to take on the mothering role after a few weeks.

After his birth, although Color mothered the soulling for most of the growth, C-P always referred to Ink as his mom and Color as his dad.

I went really crazy yesterday maybe a little too much caffine. Think I’ll limit myself to one tablet a day.Cant sau wprl was an much as bad as it usually is. Klonopin is fine on a low dose. Nothing bad will come of it. I dont know if I should hang out with Mason. He’s probably up to no good. But I probably will anyway. Don’t know why people hang out with me sometimes. alec givess me confidence. I can be goofy and weird and he still thinks I’m sexy. Gotta do something about this geek stink breath though. Gonna spend all my money on tooth problems.Why cant I brush my teeth twice a day.I hate being myself. Myself wants to become a dark ruler. Myself wants to stay in bed all day with Aaron and not do anything.d The new co worker isnt so bad.Hes good enough to replace me. I wanna know how u think skeleton monster biology works.

oh i would absolutely love to explain how i think it works

okay so personally to me, skeletons are a very. basic kind of monster. without any magic. i mean theyre just... skeletons, right? there isnt really anything that determines much beyond their own conscience and SOUL (which are not exactly linked things, while a SOUL provides emotion that influences the strength of a monster's conscious decision they do not need to coexist to thrive)

skeletons are capable of forming parts with their magic. usually in sexual situations or reproductive situations there's energy that builds up within a skeleton monster's system that gives them the stamina to keep their reproductive parts formed and whatever other parts they choose to form. depending on the health of the monster the stamina can fluctuate, so in horror's sense, because he is not exactly the healthiest of the bunch his magic doesn't last long, and it also doesn't come out a whole lot anyway

but for skeletons like ink, because ink is essentially a very... creative person, to me, i think he has an infinite sort of energy/stamina. so he keeps his body formed at all times. it's not a sexual thing inherently, he just chooses to do so because he thinks it gives him more of a shape and it makes him feel good about himself!

basically because skeletons do not naturally come with any one part or anything, i don't think chromosomes really exist for them either. it all really depends on their SOUL which obviously grows alongside them throughout their lives. so as a result skeleton monsters are basically sexless and genderless by default. (and this makes every single one of them trans. because i'm trans and i can do what i want)

sometimes skeleton monsters will form magic that isn't exactly what they want, and that can lead to a bit of dysphoria if they're that type of person. it can be a little frustrating because magic and the SOUL, despite being connected, are still very separate things and are equally complex! so to always be in tune with each other is kind of impossible.

as for reproduction it's really all about how the skeleton monsters feel. some of them may not want to reproduce sexually (for a plethora of reasons, like asexuality - though not every asexual doesn't have sex!, sex repulsion, or just generally not wanting to), so they go for something related to the SOUL. im not exactly sure how reproduction via SOULs works to me, but going off on a whim here, if two skeleton monsters have their own SOULs then they can sort of merge them temporarily to create a new one that carries traits from either parent. the process of this doesnt typically last long but they both share the SOULling and take care of it together. it can rest inside one of them or both of them at different times until it's ready to form its own body, which is just as skeleton as you'd expect

for skeletons who don't have SOULs, like ink, well... just consider how paperjam was made. you could go with that, or actual sexual reproduction. those are his options pretty much

anyways TLDR all skeletons are by default sexless + agender thereby making them all trans AND they can reproduce via sexual reproduction, SOUL merging, or remnants of magic mixing if one or more of the parents lack a SOUL
