Riddle: Shaymin

Shaymin is a hedgehog and since Riddle is the grass gym leader in my au it just worked the best. Imagine it's flower is a rose though. (He probably wouldn't use it for the gym that's too op)

Ace: Scorbunny

I needed a lil rascal for Ace and Scorbunny gives such Ace vibes.

Deuce: Buneary

After the bunny event (can't remember the name of it for the life of me) I had to give him a bunny pokemon. I also wanted it to be a duo with Ace's ace. (tehehe ace and ace) For all you Adeuce-ers I have a drawing vision I'll create one day.

Cater: Ditto

Identity issues. I picture Ditto approaching Cater as Cater and he assumed it was a clone for the longest time. Ofc until he tried making it disappear and it didn't work.

Trey: Chansey

He's like the big brother of the group so I thought Chansey was perfect.

Savanaclaw

I didn't wanna just base them off of their species since I was going to give them Pokemon Beastman types instead. (For example Leona is a Pyroar Beastman)

Leona: Lucario

I wanted a fighting type since he's the fighting gym leader. So when I was playing Legends Arceus and stumbled upon an alpha Lucario I knew it had to be. (Dunno how much it fits tho tbh)

Ruggie: Timburr

I needed a lil rascal for him. Someone who could snag something and run off. Also preferably a fighting type. Timburr fits the profile.

Jack: Lycanroc

He turns into a wolf...this one had to be a wolf. I wanted one that didn't give intimidating vibes and Lycanroc was my best bet. I feel like it's a very loyal pokemon and from what I know Jack is decently loyal. (I'm sorry I don't know much about Jackypoo)

Octavinelle

Azul: Grapploct

I know I said I didn't wanna go species based, but tbh it was either this or Vaporeon and I feel like I could find more similarities with these two. It's pre-evolution is a small little guy who works it's way up to it's strong version, similar to Azul working hard to become the successful man- teen he is today.

I needed something to pair with Floyd and just going for the eels felt too easy. Lapras has this elegance that Jade has so I thought it'd work

I wanted an angry looking pokemon to contradict his friendly optimistic-ness. + elephant. He rides an elephant in Chapter/Book 4.

Come on... Do I have to explain? Oh wait non-pokemon fans might be reading this, yes I do. Rotom can travel between devices and sometimes even the players Pokedex. (Encyclopedia of Pokemon) (Sun/Moon for example)

Malleus: Meowstick♂️

Everyone keeps giving him a super op team full of legend/psuedo-legendary dragon types but instead I made him part Dialga (basically the god of time) so I could excuse it.

I can't see him getting many pokemon, most escaping their balls and leaving Mal down. But this Meowstick lives in his castle. He wanted to befriend it but it was really stubborn. Eventually they became comrades tho!!

Silver: Swablu

He needs an Altaria. It's a cloud bird (technically dragon but shhhh)‼️‼️Swablu doesn't evolve until level 50 though and he's still young so he needs to wait.

Sebek: Pom-Pom Oricorio

I LOVE HIS DYNAMIC WITH ORICORIO!! I picked it because it was an electric cheerleader and he's always idolizing Mal but there's lore origins

Sebek found Oricorio when he was younger and out playing with Silver. It was injured and about to faint (Pokemon's equivalent to dying) Silver insisted on rushing it home and having Lilia help save it. Sebek carried it all the way there and it grew attached to him.

I can see Baul having issues with him having a non-evolving Pokemon but give it time, it'll prove it can be strong

Lilia: Sneasler

Come on...Look at them.

Sneasler is a Hisui exclusive actually, and Hisui is Sinnoh in the 1700s-ish. It also looks like it could be a soldier, look at it. Amazing. Perfect. I love Sneasler.

Extra: (You'll have to look these up yourself)

Crowley: Haunchcrow, it's in the name, it's a crow.

Crewel: Furfrou, dog you get to stylize, perfect fit

Vargas: Machamp (please say I didn't mix it up, the fully evolved one) Human like muscle pokemon absolutely perfect.

Trein: Lucius, Lucius is a pokemon in my au. shush it's just a rare species

Sam: Dusknoir, skull ghost type. Perfect for Sammypoo.

So that concludes all their aces. Funsies!! I'm back in my Pokemon hyperfix so I'm brainrotting. This was one of many...

I have everything planned out but the lore doc only contains up to Scarabia's arc rn. (But still ask about anything I literally have most of it planned)

The Pokemon au focuses on Yuu, who gets sent to the TWST region (shush ik not creative) by Arceus (Pokemon God). Professor Crowley finds poor Yuu and offers to help them home, if they complete the Pokedex. (I had to type that out 4 times I kept accidentally deleting it)

"Ash, I am not getting involved in this," Brock swiftly denied the conversation, preferring to bottle-feed Happiny.

"Oh. Pikachu?" Ash tilted his head to address his faithful companion, "That's a crush, right?"

Pikachu tried desperately to figure out why, exactly, Ash thought he was the one of them who had any romantic experience, and half-recalled a feverish memory of a Magnemite.

"Pi... Pi ka?" Pikachu questioned, in an approximation of a maybe that Ash apparently took as a yes.

Winds of Beginning! The Endless Road!!

It's just me or the music at the beggining was Alola music? If yes.. That's just the cutest. Alola music as Ash's music QAQ

The best part of the episode was the 5 minutes we spent with Ash and Pikachu before the stupid Latias appeared. Add that one to the pokemon I now hate because of the anime..

Man, I'm still bitter those 10 episodes weren't focused on Ash and his Pokemon only. It would've been the absolute best way to use those 10 episodes (and still reach the same conclusion Mezamas as it is reached), why couldn't Ash ever be alone with his mons? He can be enjoyable if the writers tried. Sigh

At least Buizel is here ♥ Also it was adorable to see Noivern and Sceptile in security duty while everyone else slept! Babies! However I'm sad Buizel and Donphan didn't go to cuddle with AshPika and Latias ù3ú

What was the point of all the drama about "Ash's pokemon not being able to attack TR because it could hurt him" when... Pikachu just went and... did just that? (also, Noivern going there and breaking the glass would've hurt Ash less??????) I get they needed "Ash suicidal tendencies make him likeable" moment but gosh, it could've been done better, for sure.

And you know, mandatory Dawn mention, but it's kinda poetic that both Ash and Dawn got done dirty in their final moments because of some stupid legendaries. They're trully one and the same. Even in shitty writing decisions from anipoke staff LMAO

Satoshi VS Kasumi! Seaside One-on-One!!

I know that Misty's metaphor about how her and Clauncher are meant to be is an obvious Pokeshipping hint, of course it is! I know that! but...

Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist but the fact Pikachu ignored Psyduck for Misty, and Clauncher didn't seem at all to reciprocate Misty's feelings is... interesting... Added to that how Ash just replaced her lure with Cilan's is.. Almost like adding to her own metaphor, that while Misty still has feelings for Ash and believes that they're meant to be, because of fate, because she is the "OG twerpette" like TR called her, Ash himself is like.. Pikachu to Psyduck and Clauncher to her. Neutral at most, and with someone else having their favoritism.

And y´know, it's even more interesting that at the beggining of Sinnoh Ash still had her lure (and was protective of it) and immediately after Sinnoh he changed her lure for Cilan's. I sure wonder what happened between those events for him- It's Dawn! its Dawn that happened!

Dont judge me I can make anything be about pearlshipping if I try hard enough.

Shipping aside, I adore seeing episodes with the general same plot but with different characters. Compare this to the Buneary catch and it's really interesting to see just how different Ash acts with Misty and Dawn about the same thing. Him and Misty have a battle about who is gonna get it, which does makes sense, they will resolve all their arguments with battles instead of actual talking and I adore that trait of their relationship~

And even Misty's disappointment at the end, that Clauncher still likes hanging with Corphish is very different than Dawn bringing up her closeness with Ash to win Buneary over. I love those sort of similar episodes, it's great to understand how each character thinks.

Gosh, even comparing to Totodile's catch shows how Misty and Ash themselves have become closer and more understanding of eachother! In here they make rules about how to catch Clauncher instead of fighting the whole time, it's a nice showcase of how they've grown! I'm just sad that Totodile was in this episode and no one mentioned the similarities :T

Also I will never get tired of Pikachu's "Pikachupi"! Ikue Otani does it in the cutest voice and I just want to squeeze the rat's cheeks every time he says it!!!

Speaking of Pikachu, I love that at the very least in those 10 episodes he went back to having some hint of a personality since he hadn't shown much of it for... a long time before it (and remembered the names of the people he cares for. I was so angry at the lack of "Pikapi" in Alola).

Same goes for TR, is nice to see their motto being animated instead of some re-used footage. One of the things that made their apparitions enjoyable in OG-DP was that they always added some personality to it. That was fun to see again.

[ The video opens, light shining onto a young persons face, it appears to be walking down a dark tunnel, hunched over to avoid hitting its head on the roof. Its green and black hair is tied back in a ponytail, it wears a black face mask, and it carries a hiking pack on its back. It's face is drenched in sweat, breathing audible in the video. At getting the light shined on its face, it flinches, a hissing sound can be heard off camera.]

"Shit- fuck- thats so bright... right... This is Delta.. and I'm getting you the footage you asked for, of the-"

[ It grimaces as it hits its head against the roof with a dull thud before going back to talking. ]

"The Jackolopbunny... whatever... this rotom will be filming it... I feel we are almost at the nest... it's getting harder to breathe down here... Risk really doesn't like it..."

[ It's voice is barely more than a whisper, dripping sounds can be heard from the roof of the cave, the audio is muffled, low quality. Several minutes go by in silence, delta begins to crawl, the tunnel only getting tighter. A whining can be heard off camrea, when the rotom turns, there is nothing.]

"Risk- shut up- shut up- I said shut up! ..."

[Another minute goes by. The rotom films fromm infront of Delta as it crawls on its stomach]

"What I'm really worried about, is it being- able to cast illusions... this burrow was invisible to the naked eye... If I'm lucky it'll just be a buneary... and I'll get a photo and get out of here...."

[The footage cuts, it is unclear how much time has passed, Delta looks around at the sudden widening of the passage, standing up slowly and silently, body covered in dirt and sweat. It nods at the rotom who slowly turns away from Delta]

[The rotom zooms in on the small creatures face, the barely audible crunching of dirt can be heard offscreen as Delta backs away. The rotom slowly retreats. All seems to be going well until growling and hissing is heard off camrea, very loudly, causing the rotom to turn suddenly, and Delta, to start speaking.]

"RISK- NO shut up- SHUT-"

[It appears Delta is being dragged back into the hole by an unknown force, and it protests loudly]

"RISK-"

CRACK

[The screen goes black for a couple of seconds, before revealing the unconscious Delta, slumped against the cave wall, the rotom turns to reveal the attacker.]

Pokemon Au for theproject . I think Kronos would one day find like an esprit in a box on the side of the road or something and just absolutely adore it for a few months before being manipulated into giving it up since having a psychic type known for its loyalty makes it a lot more difficult to manipulate the man . After that he’d probably just use temporary rental teams (and accidentally still form bonds with them because even if he knows they aren’t his he still feels cared for y’know? and be really sad when they have to give them back)

He would also own a litwick . Yes, he knows it’s draining his life force he just doesn’t care .

Oulixes would own a growlithe because of how obedient they are .

Dalilah would own a buneary that knows frustration . Buneary is a part of a friendship evolution line but starts at 0 friendship . The fact that it isn’t evolved despite probably being Dalilah’s starter is telling . (She quickly moved onto furrets and linoons) . Frustration also gets stronger the lower the friendship so, as you can assume, it’s at full power .

( though perhaps it would be more in character for her to fake friendship for the sake of evolving it ? Perhaps a lopunny that learns return would be even more chilling in a dramatic irony sort of way .)

You’re so right about Kronos, as per usual you are perhaps ceo of understanding that man. I think oulixes would have a houndoom also. I think it’d be really in character for dalilah to have a lot of pokemon that are basically small animals and then one thing that’s known to be terrifying or something but Yeagh. I love the idea of using the friendship mechanic for it also.

the only one I know a full team for is yuki because I have always associated her with fairy type Pokémon.

Hello everyone! You can call me Fluff, after my old warrior skitty sona Fluffstep. I’m...not really sure what else to put here. Unovan-born, Sinnohan, and disabled. She/her pronouns please, TERFs are not welcome, and I’m something of a pan disaster. I like media analysis in my free time, and I’m a softie who wants to pet all the pokemon in the world, even the scary or dangerous ones. My pokemon friends consist of:

Lola, my alomomola. I was like seven when I named her that, and she’s my dearest and oldest friend.

Sakurako, my cherrim. She’s a little grumpy and craves sunlight a lot, but I do my best to take care of her!

Leo, my lopunny. He’s a dramatic little guy who I fed when he was just a buneary, and then he kept coming back and uh. Well I have a lopunny now!

Riza, my pachirisu! Yes I named her after my gay crush from Fullmetal Alcremie. I think she’s a teenager or thereabouts, and she’s a very sweet, energetic, snuggly girl.

Walpurgisnacht, my spiritomb. Nacht uses she/they and is rather ominous, but I know they care for me a lot, and have a strong sense of justice!

Madeline, my rapidash. Yes, I know what I said about open flames, but this is a personal matter. I’m working on managing my triggers so that I can take care of the pokemon who take such good care of me.

Anomalocaris, or just Cari, my togetic! She’s baby and I love her and I wish she would stop trying to eat rocks.

Edit: yes, I was a former member of Team Plasma. I’m still recovering from that, and it’s a bit of a sensitive subject.

i needed to take a break from pokemon on my switch so i made pokemon teams on my computer for each mainstream ac protag up to syndicate

some random ideas i had while making these below the cut:

-Altaïr's Crobat doesn't evolve until he has been forgiven and forgiven himself for his events in Solomon's Temple and bc he learned kindness and friendship which makes a Crobat evolve. Also Talonflame feathers are almost a calling card, but by the time you see them its too late.

-Ezio only had his Ponyta after he began traveling around and it never evolves but his children have fun playing with it. Grovyle also kind of just fell into his lap as a Treecko but it's so quick that he loves exercising with it.

-Yes Connor has a Cubone. It was actually his first Pokemon and he's very very fond of it, and cares for it deeply. His Mudsdale will buck anyone off, including him, if they try to ride it, and you Just Have To Accept That. Staraptor was not long after that as a Starly, and when he was a teen he tried to see if it could carry him but he fell pretty hard. Now that it's fully evolved but he's six foot something he doesn't want to try again.

-Raticate snuck aboard his ship and Edward was like "Lol bet". Trumbeak eventually evolves but for the most part he likes having a smaller bird to fly around and it's not his battling Pokemon, so it takes a while. His ace is Banette and Banette is great to scare weaker-willed people away from treasure, provided it gets a share, but as he matures into the Creed he mainly starts to use Banette for Assassin/Templar use.

-Almost all of Shay's Pokemon, except for Gumshooes and Mimikyu, tend to just sail in the water next to them and he doesn't really do Pokeballs unless they're in a naval battle, he's going really far inland, or the weather is extreme, and even then he has Ice Pokemon that are pretty okay. Gumshooes makes himself useful by keeping things in tip-top shape and watching over the sailors.

-Arno got his Piplup from his father. Aurorus was a gift from de la Serre once Templars found out how to bring fossilized Pokemon back. The other Pokemon he ended up just finding around the Cafe and they decided to go with him or at least fly with him. The Lopunny was Elise's, and most of her Pokemon live and help the Assassins, but Lopunny was her first as a Buneary and they were pretty close.

-Evie and Jacob both got Rookidees when they were old enough, and Jacob loves both of them (that's why they're the Rooks, bc he knew it was smth he shared with Evie and it was supposed to bring them together more). Jacob is sure his Wheezing helps mask them with its smog (though they always end up coughing and it doesn't work anyway) and Evie's Arbok is able to get in for good support, but it evolved rather quickly and she can't always control it, even though it is loyal and in a real mess can and will defend her.

Alright, rapid fire.

Azurill, the Polka Dot pokemon, is its first evolution. It's considered a baby pokemon by most people. When evolving into Marill, Azumarill's second evolution, female Azurills have a chance of becoming male if the conditions they live in call for it (or, just by pure chance.)

Their bouncy little tails act as a weapon and as a way to store nutrition. it's pretty much all fat reserves in there, which build up more and more as they evolve.

They hunt and travel underwater, and can swim at speeds up to 30mph, and stay underwater for a total of 40 hours as an Azumarill. Their blue and white coloration acts as camouflage.

Yes, Azumarill hunt. They're omnivores. Though they're mostly piscivores outside of the underwater plants they eat.

Their shiny form is yellow, which makes it hard to hide from predators and hunt, so most wild shinies in the Azumarill line don't do very well for themselves. They're much better off in captivity.

They're part of the lagomorph family of pokemon, so they're similar in biology to pokemon like Buneary.

They have three abilities, Thick Fat, Huge Power, and Sap Sipper- Which you don't see often, it's a hidden ability.

Up until Fairy Types were discovered, they were considered pure water types. That's since changed though- and uh. Explained why they were never bothered by dragon types before.

They are surprisingly soft (except for their tails, which dont have fur) and their fur is waterproof, like the bidoof line's.

They can take down your psuedo legendaries easily with the right setup. You should be very afraid, they are 3 feet of terror in a battle.

How did you met Bun-bun and Vivi?

I'm so curious!

Hi!!! I spent the last few days working on my biology term report. I'm finally done now, so I can get back to answering questions! Bun-bun was my 12th birthday present from my parents! My birthday was only 3 days ago on the 28th of November, but they gave her to me almost a month earlier since they wanted her to warm up to me. This way, she can celebrate my birthday with me! Apparently, Buneary take quite a long time to get along with their trainer, so that's probably why.

I'm not sure where Bun-bun is from, actually. I checked and it turns out that Buneary aren't native to Kalos. Maybe I should ask my parents.

I actually caught Vivi as a Spewpa, but I had no idea what to name him at the time. To my surprise, he evolved super quickly into a Vivillon just after a few days! So of course I had to name him that, haha.

I encountered him at the berry fields on Rivière Walk when he fell out of the Pecha berry tree I planted. He was sooo cute!! And yes, I am planting my own Pecha berries. Hopefully I can make them into Pecha cream-filled Poképuffs!

Farewell to You, ch 4

"Toge?"

A Togetic perked up, sensing something terrible coming. Seems like she wasn't the only one. A few other Togetic perked up too. This was the Togepi Paradise, protected by Misty's Togetic. But several of the Togepi had evolved into Togetic and the eldest had evolved into a Togekiss. The Togekiss flew over to Misty's Togetic. She seemed to be sensing the same thing. She seemed to have nodded to the guardian. It was time. The guardian seemed to have understood and made itself a portal. She knew what she had to do. She had to find Mama.

...

Pikachu, Buneary, and Piplup were starting to sense it too. Ash and Dawn both perked up.

Dawn asked, "Piplup? Buneary?"

Ash asked, "Pikachu?"

Misty frowned, "Their faces look familiar."

Brock agreed, "Yeah, they do."

Brandon turned to Anabel and Looker, "Didn't you two have news?"

Anabel explained, "Yes Mr. Nanu had told us that the temperature in Alola, near the Wela Volcano Park had been increasing."

Looker added, "We originally thought that Solgaleo had been up there but that didn't make any sense."

Lillie was admittedly worried about Solgaleo. She had a feeling that the Psychic/Steel type had gone back to Ultra Space with Lunala. Gladion saw her face.

He asked, "Worried about Nebby?"

Lillie answered, "Yeah but I'm pretty sure it went back to Ultra Space with Lunala. So it couldn't be our suspect here."

Looker stated, "Oh, we know. We think Moltres is hiding there."

Lucy frowned, "Moltres?"

Anabel confirmed, "Yes and not just any Moltres. The one you and your friends encountered years ago."

Tracey started to say, "You mean where..."

Anabel interrupted, nodding, "Where Lawrence was starting to collect the legendary birds."

To that, everyone paled.

Daisy pointed out, "But isn't, like, he still in jail?"

Looker stated, "You are right Daisy but we don't want to rule anything out."

Melody told them, "Lugia did ask for the trio to go hide elsewhere since Shamouti was no longer safe. And to take their treasures with them."

Rudy commented, "So we at least know where Moltres is. Just in case things start going south."

Mahri turned to Melody, "Guess you practicing for hours on end might be coming in handy."

To that, Melody blushed.

Lily said, "But we only know where Moltres is. Won't we also, like, need to know where the others are too?"

Before anyone could say anything, Looker's Pokenav rang.

He answered, "Hello?"

Nanu said, "Looker. Anabel."

Anabel blinked, "Mr. Nanu!"

Nanu stated, "Heads up. We've got an airship heading towards Lumiose City in Kalos."

Clemont was confused, "Why would someone be headed towards our hometown?"

Bonnie thought for a moment, "Wasn't there a lot of surges of power there before we left...?"

Serena confirmed, "Bonnie's right. Maybe Zapdos is there."

Ash stated, "I think we ought to split up. If this is really starting again, I'll need more help."

Pikachu said, "Pika pi."

Piplup said, "Piplup!"

Buneary said, "Bun!"

Nanu commented, "Good luck kid."

With that, he hung up.

Professor Kukuki asked, "Want us to check out Wela Volcano Park?"

Ash answered, "Yes please. And be careful."

Professor Kukui nodded as the Alola group headed out first.

Goh asked, "Where do you want us to go?"

Ash told them, "I would rather some groups hang back. We still need to find Articuno and Lugia."

Chloe stated, "We could do that."

Ash regarded, "Thanks."

Clemont told Ash, "Then we'll head out to Lumiose City."

Ash said, "Thanks Clemont. Be careful."

To that, he nodded. Bonnie and Serena followed him. Serena had a blush on her face when Clemont passed by her. Misty saw that and grabbed Serena real quickly.

Misty whispered, "Tell him!"

Serena yelped, "Right now? While we're on a mission?"

Misty stated, "You'll regret it if you don't."

Serena replied, "Speaking from experience much?" To that, Misty didn't deny it. She added, "Look, my crush on Ash ended a long time ago. When I realized that he had feelings for someone else, it took me a while to move on. And when I started to, Clemont was there for me." She blushed again, "And you know something? I'm glad. It means you can finally ask him who he has feelings for."

Serena gave Misty a quick hug before running off to catch up with Clemont and Bonnie. Misty knew that she was right but how was she going to ask... Before she could say anything, that's when they saw the weather changing. It was starting to rain. The population of Pallet Town ran off inside.

Delia stated, "I can't believe that this is happening again." Ash hugged his mom. Delia returned the hug, starting to cry. Ash rubbed her back, holding her close. She sniffled, "I miss your father."

Ash admitted, "Me too."

Pikachu looked up at the two humans sadly. None outside of Pallet Town actually knew what had happened to David Ketchum. Not even Misty knew.

Iris was very hesitant in asking her question, "So, if I'm asking the wrong thing, just let me know. But uh..." She paused as she played with her hands. She looked Delia in the eyes and finally asked, "What happened to your husband? Ash's father?"

Delia looked at her son for a minute, the tears in her eyes. There were tears in Ash's eyes too. Professor Oak looked at the two, as if he was seeking permission to tell the group. It was Delia who nodded.

The professor answered, "He died...a long time ago. When Ash, Gary, and Erika were all three years old. He had cancer."

...

Everyone was oddly quiet. They had no idea. Misty placed her hand on Ash's shoulder. Ash looked at her, sniffling. Misty gave him a small smile.

She admitted, "At least you remember your father. I...barely remember mine."

Daisy started to say, "Misty..."

Misty looked to her oldest sister, seeing the sad look on her face. Lily and Violet had the same look.

Gary asked, "I hate to ask but what happened to your parents anyways, red?"

Misty looked at him, back to her sisters, and then back to him. Daisy placed her hand on her little sister's shoulder.

Daisy answered, "Our mom was in a bad accident. And our father tried everything to help us but...he eventually left."

Erika raised a brow, "He just left?"

To that, Daisy just nodded very sadly. Tracey was instantly at her side.

Daisy sniffled, "Sorry, I don't like talking about our parents much."

Erika understood that so she just nodded. She decided to change the subject, "So...what now?"

Ash sniffled, "Not sure, Erika. Not sure."
