(if you're in the eclipse path/planning on viewing). please don't stare directly at the sun tomorrow. i am begging you - do not stare at it. if you got eclipse glasses off of amazon/other, please put them on in your house and make sure you can't see anything; if you can still see like regular sun glasses, they are not safe for eclipse viewing, you will burn your retinas, and we cannot fix that. eclipse glasses should be iso/ce certified, and aas (american astronomical society) approved. please make smart choices and protect your eyes. please.

How to Use ISO 13485 Standard For CE Marking Approval of Medical Devices?

If the medical device is manufactured outside of the European Union, the CE marking provides access to European markets for products. Before putting the product on the market in the European Economic Area, the manufacturer shall be required to get and display the CE mark on the product (EEA). This responsibility shifts to the importer if the medical device is brought in from outside the EEA. The abbreviation “CE” stands for “European Conformity,” which is the English translation of the French word “Conformité Européene.

Alas, Franka found a horse to lease that's closer to her. I have someone else coming to try Amba tomorrow, as well as a few backups, but I had to make an ISO post this time and am now getting a headache from monitoring the "So you're expecting someone to train/school your horse for free" and "It's dangerous to ride a horse with EPM" and the "I've never seen a horse with EPM recover" comments despite posting the vet's approval.

Miles G (whispering next to him): Yeah

Ganke M (nodding up towards an obscured part of the school's rooftop): Let's dip and get a better view- you and me, whaddaya say?

Miles G (snorts): You know we're gonna get caught- there's no way I'm sitting next to Ned in detention again

Ganke M (smirking): We won't get caught, and I recognize that second pair of 'special' Jordans anywhere. Trust me- I got a fool-proof plan this time. 1) wait until it gets dark at half time; 2) Cause a distraction; 3) Slip away and parkour to the top

Miles G (shaking his head and smiling): You and your crazy ideas...10 bucks says we get caught

Ganke M (smiling wider): 10 bucks says we make it up and back and no one notices

Miles G: Bet

Ganke M: Bet

Teacher: Alright esteemed students, as you have already observed we are now halfway towards a total solar eclipse! Notice how the sky is now darkening and the glorious rays of the sun are being overlayed just like in chapter 2 of our textbook 'Wonders of the Galaxy Volume II'....

Ned (in front of Ganke and Miles, messing with another student): What a nerd, I bet you like this stuff and want to read the entire textbook again don't ya freak?

Peter (visibly annoyed through his glasses): Stop messing with me and bother someone else

Ned (raising his eyebrows then facing him and poking a finger onto his shirt): What are you going to do about it shortie?

Welp if this was how Peter was going to finally stand up to Ned, he can thank Ganke later

[Ganke shoves Peter into Ned and then grabs Miles G's hand as he slips into the back of the crowd as a commotion starts]

[Miles G crouches down before launching off the concrete and wall jumping expertly from platform to wall until he reaches the roof and sets Ganke down]

Miles G (putting on the eclipse glasses): Welp this is it

Ganke M (with the glasses on, putting an arm around Miles): Heck yeah now this is a view. Here it comes!

[Ganke M and Miles G both look up and watch as the moon covers the sun, and a new aura surrounds the dark moon]

- aenar-andorian. doesn’t have a traditional andorian name due to being raised on earth by a human-vulcan couple. struggled a lot with identity growing up away from andorian culture, but later in life left his first ship (USS cerritos) as a junior lieutenant to live on andoria for a few years before returning to starfleet to assist with conflict. was formerly navigation/command division before switching to sciences, combining his navigation skills with astronomy.

lieutenant commander dhy’la byre (she/her)

- bajoran. very much chill but serious about her work, doesn’t take lightly to messing around during work hours. she’s loud and can yap your ears off, but people tend to enjoy listening to her anyways.

ensign/junior lieutenant rhea m’ghon (she/her)

- orion-trill. likes to stick with herself. doesn’t like most people but still desperately wants everyone’s approval. doesn’t speak much about her home life. admires dhy’la from a distance.

chief medical officer isothaal “iso” ch’loya (they/them)

- aenar. tired disaster lesbian. always in some heartbreak or love triangle. midlife crisis all the time. everyone loves them and they love everyone. they are almost completely blind, only able to detect some light levels through their eyes.

ensign o’lynn maalh (he/they)

- vulcan-andorian. mostly nonverbal. botanist, spends basically all his time in the lab. feels like plants get him better than most people. despite this, shark tries desperately to be their best friend. he does have a soft spot for the andorian and lets her be “annoying”.

junior medical officer shark zh’kayo (any)

- andorian. super high energy all the time. most people can’t handle it, but she doesn’t mind. spends a lot of time with o’lynn and t’penne, although the three were closer before he got promoted.

ensign t’penne (she/they)

- vulcan. t’penne has an untraditional mindset regarding emotions and logic. still stoic and monotonous in her ways, she is much more expressive than vulcans typically are (which, albeit, isn’t much). she believes it’s illogical to repress emotion as far back as vulcans do, especially when it doesn’t cause any harm or disruptions in her life and work.

Okay, I feel like this is my last-ditch effort and it is bonkers that I’m posting about this on my fanfiction blog, but, whatever. People on this site know things and are creative.

Okay, last year I found an XXL Madewell Ridgeton sweater in cream/ivory (note: not the Ridgeton tipped with the green on the bottom; this sweater is all one color) and bought it and it made me feel like the prettiest lady in all the land. It quickly became my favorite article of clothing. I wore it as part of my Confidence Outfit when I was in a Toastmaster’s competition because public speaking still makes me want to throw up. It was just my favorite.

Okay and then something happened. I don’t know if a piece of clothing that was dark blue/black sat on the sweater in the wash or if I let the wash sit too long and something got mildewy (honestly, both are very possible. I was not in a great place when all of this happened), but the sweater got stained in a way that is just not treatable. I did everything in my power to get the stains out and some of them did come out, but there is one rather large one that just won’t budge. I’ve done so much to treat this sweater, I honestly wouldn’t be shocked if it warped in some way.

I have looked for another one of these sweaters in my size everywhere I know to look. Poshmark, eBay, ThredUP. I just got approved for a Madewell BST group on Facebook and made an ISO post but I’m not holding my breath. So now I’m wondering…like, I have the sweater so someone could look at it and pull it apart, right? I know it’s likely machine knit so hand knit wouldn’t be the exact same, but could commissioning a dupe work? Is it even okay to ask someone to do that? I can’t get the sweater in my size from any normal channel that I’ve been able to find, but I also know that trademarking and stuff in clothing is a really complicated issue and I don’t want to like…cause problems. I don’t even know how I would go about commissioning something like this, but it’s kind of the only route I can think of at this point? (And I know that commissioning knitwear from an individual is going to cost way more than I paid for this sweater at Nordstrom Rack. I am very aware. That is how much I love this sweater.)

Anyway…uh…any input or ideas welcome.
