Fanny Price as a Fairy Tale Princess

Fanny Price in Mansfield Park doesn't fit exactly into the Cinderella story because instead of an orphan her parents are painfully alive and she isn't exactly treated as a servant, certainly not scullery maid level. Also, the big ball gets her the attention of a man she rejects, certainly not a prince. However, Mansfield Park it is like Cinderella in that a virtuous and kind girl waits patiently for her happy ending while enduring oppression. But the notes of the story are kind of backwards.

The bigger problem with Fanny = Cinderella is that Cinderella is only out for herself. Not that Cinderella is selfish, because she isn't, but she is an orphan and she doesn't have anyone in her life who needs help more than her. Fanny does.

Fanny also doesn't fit with any of the born princesses, though it occurs to me that Emma is totally Disney's Jasmine.

This is why what I think is more true to Fanny's story is subverting Beauty and the Beast. Fanny, like Beauty, is set up as a civilizing influence, but we are shown through the story how easily even men who respect her can ignore her morality, especially Edmund. We are even told outright that Fanny is supposed to reform Henry Crawford:

"You will supply the rest; and a most fortunate man he is to attach himself to such a creature—to a woman who, firm as a rock in her own principles, has a gentleness of character so well adapted to recommend them. He has chosen his partner, indeed, with rare felicity. He will make you happy, Fanny; I know he will make you happy; but you will make him everything.” (Ch 35)

Fanny rejects this, she basically says it's too much responsibility. Which yeah, it is!

Then when like Beauty, Fanny is offered the choice to sacrifice her happiness for the good of her family, she says no. And it's not because Fanny doesn't love her family, especially her brother William. Fanny has just as much love as Beauty, but she refuses to be a sacrificial lamb. Not that what Beauty does isn't admirable, but it puts the father's life and freedom ahead of Beauty's. Jane Austen is done with that, it is too much to ask.

Fanny will not surrender her entire life for the good of her family, and yet she is still a heroine. She is a heroine for standing up for her values, for holding strong in the face of oppression, and for giving what she can even if the ultimate sacrifice was too much.

Connection Description:

They were 6 they were taken away from Boston and memory wiped by their mother to forget Silas. They also had their last names changed to their mother’s surname.

Their mother refused to acknowledge Jasmine Chamberlain as their half sister, but before they were memory wiped the siblings were aware of her. Update: They are now aware and have been for a year about Jasmine's existance.

Poppy was always the rebel, but your character was always the one who would remove the charm their mother gave them to forget and would remember. So constantly she would be dosing them, trying to alter their memories even more. To the point their memories of childhood would be more blurry and harder to remember.

Which I always pictured him like a season 1 Lizzie Saltzman where he’s always known his brain works different, but still he’s trying and working on his issues. He would probably have a therapist in the coven when growing up, rather he goes or not anymore is up to you.

The mom, Alyssa, probably forced them into spots or any after school activity to keep them busy and to prevent them from being another Poppy, who rebelled against everything. Considering Poppy was their twin I could see them trying to protect her in a way and going along with it.

This is up to you, but I do see him struggling with some type of addiction rather it be a substance or just even magic itself.

He probably would be the least controlled when it comes to magic out of the siblings, but also it comes from his emotions not being in check.

Potential issues with authority/the coven given how they exiled one of his siblings.

More than likely they’re the one always in the middle of the sisters and trying to break up the arguments, they probably get dragged into them more often than not.

When Poppy left and didn’t come back it probably put more pressure on the twin and their mom Alyssa probably had them on a short lease since she already had one child that had escaped town and basically disgraced the family.

Since they are twins I do image Poppy stayed in contact with them even if they couldn’t really visit one another.

Poppy only returned after she’d been attacked and she was pretty much cast out by not only the coven but their mom Alyssa and step dad. How your character felt is up to you, I’m down if they’re mad or if they welcomed her back secretly.

I could also see your character being recently turned via if it was on purpose or even accident. Again you don’t have to do this plot but it is up to you.

Poppy was killed and resurrected in the August 2023 event. As a result since black magic was done by their half sister Jasmine to bring Poppy back their mother Alyssa died as the price.

Alyssa was the only one in the coven to note vote bringing Poppy back, while the other siblings and coven all wanted her back

Hey everyone since I’m into posing now I wanted to share one of the photo sources I use and follow for myself. @/modelsof-color on tumblr is a fantastic blog full of just pictures of people of color in the modeling industry. They have all kinds of poses both dynamic and static as well as portraits. There’s both street wear and high fashion from across the decades. You can see models of all skin tones, models with disabilities, models who incorporate religious wear like Hijabs, plus sized models, mixed race models etc. They also cover a variety of locations for shoots, not just a studio or runway. And you can do it without solely looking at the White model dominated spaces of the industry.

Some of my favorite models of color include Imaan Hammam, Anok Yai, Alton Mason, Malika El Maslouhi, Naomi Campbell (the legendary supermodel), Adut Akech, Jasmine Tookes, and Aweng Chuol.

If you want a model blog that also includes White models, then @/distantvoices on tumblr is great. They include photo shoots featuring celebrities. Some of my favorite White models include Trish Goff, Kate Moss, Cindy Crawford, and Shalom Harlow.

Hopefully this makes it easier to pose a screenshot while serving as a look into the world of fashion.

Kyra Kardashian: the youngest Kardashian

Keeping up with the Kardashians first aired when Kyra Kardashian was 17, and viewers got to witness the behind the scenes of Kyra's entrance into the fashion and acting industries.

Although younger members of the family didn't feature as much of their life on the show, Kyra said she "loved filming" KUWTK, and allowed the camera's to roll during the filming for her hit movie, Lemonade Mouth (2011) and the process of collaborating with H&M and Forever 21.

Most of her early career was spent as a brand ambassador, appearing in runway shows and various campaigns for high-end fashion lines such as Chanel and Hermes. Kyra is credited with the popularization of collecting Hermes bags and having "shopping mall" sized closets that many influencers would come use as a symbol of wealth.

Kyra became a Hollywood sensation when she appeared in the live-action remake of Aladdin as Princess Jasmine in 2019, and the action-comedy film Charlie's Angels the same year. Kardashian has not appeared in any major films since 2019, stating that she wanted to focus on her fashion line, թալար, better known as Talar.

Aside from her professional career, Kyra's personal life has been broadcast to the world via the tabloids, gossip sites and KUWTK. Kardashian has been in several high profile relationships since her reality television debut in 2007:

Kyra confirmed her relationship with NBA player Stephen Curry at one of his games in 2009 when the couple shared a kiss after the Golden State Warrior had won. The couple featured on Keeping up with the Kardashians and engagement rumors were sparking in 2011, however the couple would split just weeks after the rumors began.

Shortly after Kardashian began dating actor Chance Crawford after being introduced by younger sister Kadence. The pair shared an on and off romance for several years, reconnecting in 2017 but parting ways permanently two months later.

In 2014 she began seeing rapper MGK better known as Colson Baker on and off. In 2016 she was reportedly pregnant with his baby and rumors circulated until Kyra addressed them in 2018 stating that she had a miscarriage back in 2016, not naming the identity of her would-be baby daddy. MGK and Kyra split officially in early mid 2018.

Kyra did not debut any new beau for a year until she confirmed her relationship with footballer Travis Kelce in may 2019. A year into the relationship Kyra was seen sporting a ring that led fans to believe the couple was engaged, but no official statement was made by Travis, Kyra or representatives for either.

The pair seemed to have split by 2021 when Kyra stopped attending Kelce's games and he stopped liking her posts on social media. This was confirmed when Kyra started dating Romanian actor Sebastian Stan in july 2022.

Kyra True Kardashian (October 14 1990) went to Bel Air Prep, Saint Martin of Tours School, Daniel Webster Middle School, A.E. Wright Middle School, and Montclair Prep. As a teenager, she attended Sierra Canyon Highschool.

In 2018 she launched her clothing brand Talar (թալար), specialising in Armenian inspired casual and formal wear, as well as formal wear in general. The company was a success upon it's first launch and is worth 3.9 billion as of 2023.

Since joining instagram, Kyra has amassed a following of 330 Million followers on her account @.truelykyra

As of 2023, Kyra's networth is estimated to be around 478 Million USD.
