Can you do some headcanons where 90’s Reggie takes his girlfriend to a carnival?
jatp!! omg it's been too long since i wrote for jatp
masterlist
Tumblr media
Let’s be real, the carnival is the best possible spot for a date with Reggie
The man’s got an attention span that lasts about five minutes, and the fact that there are so many things to do at the carnival is fantastic for everyone involved
This is only encouraged by the limitless amount of fair food that the two of you will buy
After all, if you’re not hyped up on enough sugar to kill a lesser god, are you even having fun?
Reggie will argue this point for the entirety of the night, even after he crashes and practically falls asleep on your shoulder while you’re on the Ferris wheel
He’s also surprisingly intense about his dedication to win you a stuffed animal from one of the games
The two of you take a lap around the carnival to decide which stuffed prize is the cutest and thus worth the effort of playing the games
However, that just makes Reggie want to win all of them for you, a task which is both unsustainable and almost impossible
Doesn’t mean he won’t try, though!
Reggie also wants to go on as many rides as possible, although he only wants to do the ones that you’re interested in
No matter how much Reggie is loving the carnival, he still glances over at you all the time to make sure you’re having just as good a time as he is
After all, Reggie’s ideal night isn’t just the carnival lights and chipper music and delicious food, it’s you right there next to him
And when the night finally disappears behind you, Reggie’s as glad as ever to have you by his side <3

After the show
Pairing: alive!Reggie Peters x reader
WC: 3.2k
Summary: After being away for a few months you were finally back in Los Angeles, just in time to watch your best friend Julie perform with her band. The first time you got to see them live and get to meet them, including the cute bass player.
A/N: Here's something new which probably nobody still counted on getting from me hahah but writing has always helped me cope with some stuff and even though I hadn't pictured myself returning to this, here I am, dealing with life problems by escaping into fanfictions. So, I hope you guys still read it and like it!!
Tumblr media
It had been a while since you saw Julie last. You had lived with your dad last semester while your mom had to go abroad for work. That left you at the other side of the country, a six-hour flight away from your best friend and your normal life.
Of course, staying at your dad's wasn't the worst. You got along great. One of the only plus sides of that move was that you could spend more time together, but you also had to get used to a new place and new people. And you missed your friends dearly. Daily Facetime calls to Julie and Flynn kept you going, but those declined in frequency as well. Everybody got busy, so these past few weeks it had been, at most, one call a week. With your upcoming move back home to California, Julie's successful debut with her band and Flynn managing them, there hadn't been a lot of time. Until now.
You were finally back in California, basking in the Los Angeles sun. The hot sand beneath your feet warmed your soul. A content smile graced your face while you were waiting for Julie and Flynn to join you. This felt like home. Definitely.
Your serene moment got interrupted as someone practically fell into you, making you tumble forward a few steps. You were able to keep standing with arms still wrapped around you. With them came a squeak and the call of your name before the figure, which turned out to be Julie, came around to your front. As soon as you saw that familiar face you pulled her into your arms again. Yep, home. "Oh my God, I missed you so much!", you said, squeezing her once more.
"Same! I can't believe you're back! Finally!" The two of you let go of each other and settled onto the sand. "Tell me everything!"
"Well, you already know basically everything," you laughed. "I mean, the last time we talked wasn't even 24 hours ago."
"I know!" Julie took ahold of your shoulders and shook you. "Way too long! I need a play-by-play of your flight."
"Uhm ok, so, when I got to the airport..." And so you told Julie everything that happened at the airport, on your flight, at the reunion with your mom, the ride home, just everything up until the point where she had joined you at the beach. "When is Flynn coming by the way? Shouldn't she be here already?" You looked around hoping to catch a glimpse of the girl amidst the other beach-goers.
"Oh yes, I forgot to say! She actually had to hang back for a bit. She was able to get us a gig tonight, totally last minute, so she had to organize some stuff, but you'll see her later when you come to the show."
"Oh, so I'm invited, huh?" You bumped her shoulder.
"Of course, you are! We made sure to have you put on the guestlist. Then you can also meet the rest of the band! They're so excited to meet you. I mean, Flynn and I always talk about you, so they're always on us about when they actually get to meet you." She laughed at the dorkiness of her friends.
She could still picture the first time you were brought up in conversation in front of them. Flynn had been late to watching the practice and when she finally did come in, she looked a little distraught. Julie had asked her what was wrong, but didn't expect that the reason for her distress was actually your distress. You had just broken up with your partner who was not ready to commit to long-distance, even just for a while, so you had called your friends in tears. The boys had immediately told Julie and Flynn to not worry about practice and call you back and be there for you. Since then, you had been topic of conversation a few times.
"Actually," she continued, "Reggie could not shut up about you being at the show today since we found out it's happening, so you can't disappoint my bassist by not showing up." Julie wiggled her eyebrows at you. That's what you get for one time mentioning that you thought the dark-haired bassist was cute and asking about him. You had kept up with Julie's band, watched all their music videos and the private photos and videos that Julie had sent you.
You felt a warmth spread over your neck and cheeks, slighty embarassed by the teasing. "Oh please, Julie, shut up." You chuckled and looked out at the waves crashing onto the beach. "Of course, I'll be there. I'm super excited to meet the band, too. And to see you perform live!" Looking back at her, you saw the spark in her eyes that had been lost for so long after her mother's death, but there it was, portraying her excitement for making and sharing her music.
The moment got interrupted by an alarm sound coming out of Julie's pocket. "Oh ok, that's me. I actually have to run now," she said while standing up and silencing her phone. "I need to prepare for the show, but I'll text you all the details and will see you there tonight! Ok, bye, love you!" She shouted over her shoulder while already walking away in a hurry. You laughed to yourself at her behavior. It hadn't changed in all this time. You stayed at the beach for a few more minutes, before deciding to go home and get ready yourself.
You looked in awe at the line in front of the club the band was playing at tonight. So many people were here to see your friend perform. It was crazy. And you actually got to walk past all these people to tell the bouncer your name and be let in before all of them. The whole experience was so surreal, but it was everything you had ever hoped for your friend. Inside was already pretty packed as well but Flynn had texted you where to find her, so you made your way through the crowd to the roped-off area at the side which was slightly elevated. You once again gave your name to the woman standing there. She scanned her clipboard before she moved aside to let you in.
You spotted Flynn pretty easily in her eye-catching outfit. She was sitting in the far corner, closest to the stage, typing away on her phone. You walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey there, stranger!"
She turned around quickly. Her eyes widened when she saw you standing there before she jumped out of her seat with a wide smile on her face. "You're here!" She pulled you into a hug. "It's so good to see you! Wait, let me look at you!" You were pushed an arms-length away, so that she could check you out from head to toe. "And you look amazing! Perfect! Show-stopping!"
"Well, I hope not. I did come here to watch the show after all." You took the seat next to Flynn's, catching up with her until the lights dimmed and the show started. You and Flynn immediately got up from your seats as the stage lights came on and illuminated your friend and the rest of the band. Julie's gaze quickly flickered up to where you and Flynn were standing before she started playing the first notes of the song. Actual tears sprung to your eyes as you watched your friend live her dream. You were so proud of her.
You watched her interact with the other band members while performing. They all seemed to have so much fun on stage and you could clearly see their passion for music shining through. More than once did your eyes glance over to the bassist. You had to admit that Reggie looked even better in person than on the screen. He had to know what he was doing when he put on that leather jacket for the performance. Damn.
When the show ended, you actually felt out of breath from all the dancing and jumping and singing along you did with Flynn. The whole concert was so much fun and you could not get rid of the smile on your lips. "So, I am in charge of getting you to Julie's for the after-show party," Flynn turned to you and explained.
"Wait, there's an actual after show party at Julie's? And her dad's fine with it?"
"Yeah, it's just a few people and as long as we clean up and don't make too much noise, he's chill. So, you coming?" Flynn held out a hand for you to take and then skillfully maneuvered you through the crowd. The ride to Julie's turned out to be Flynn's mom who greeted you with a hug. You three chatted for the whole ride, mainly about your last semester and the show, before she dropped you off at Julie's. Before driving off she reminded Flynn to be respectful and considerate of the people living in the house to which Flynn rolled her eyes, but promised to be on her best behavior.
After her mom was gone, she turned to you. "Ok, come on, we need to get some snacks and drinks out before the others arrive." She led you to the garage, which you hadn't entered in what felt like years, and pulled the doors wide open. The lights turned on and as you looked around you realized that not much had changed, except for some trinkets being strewn about here and there. You quickly helped Flynn get some drinks out of the mini fridge and onto the table as well as some snacks when the first few people already started arriving. You easily recognized Nick, one of the first to enter the garage. He hadn't changed much from when you last saw him, still had the same Golden Retriever look to him. Carrie was also easy to spot. She spotted the two of you instantly and came over to greet you. From your calls with Julie and Flynn you were already aware that the feud had ended and there was some kind of friendship blossoming now.
"Hi, girls!" She greeted both of you with a hug before she turned to you. "It's nice to see you! How long have you been back?"
"Oh, just today actually. Been quite a busy day." You made some more small talk with her while other guests arrived and Flynn went off to greet them. It wasn't long until the conersations stopped to greet the arriving band with a round of hollers and applause. The guitarist, Luke, you knew, basked in the applause, entering the garage with raised arms and a grin, ready to high-five his friends that were waiting for him. Julie, Reggie and Alex followed. They had the same grin on their faces, the performance high, but passed up on the high-fives.
Carrie excused herself, but you didn't stay standing alone for long as Julie spotted you and pulled Alex and Reggie over to you. "Guys, I want you to meet someone," she exclaimed and proudly introduced you.
Aley was the first to speak up. He had a nice smile on his face. "Hi! It's really nice to meet you! I'm Alex. Julie has told us so much about you, it's like meeting a legend." Julie hit him in the arm for that comment. "Hey! What? It's true! You're always talking about her like she's a celebrity or some kind of myth. No wonder Reggie-" He got cut off by another hit in the arm, this time from the bassist. "Alright, fine, I'll stop stalking! Anyway, nice to meet you. I'm gonna go over there to my boyfriend." He turned and walked right into the arms of a long-haired guy on the other side of the garage who had been engaged in a conversation with Luke.
You turned back to the other two still standing with you, holding back a laugh. Your gaze fell onto the one who had yet to introduce himself. His eyes were still trained on Alex' back, but as he turned towards you, he realized that your focus was already on him and his cheeks turned red. It only took him a moment to regain his cool though. "I'm Reggie. Nice to meet you!" His eyes trailed your body once over. He shot you a smile. "I can't believe you're even prettier in real life than in the pictures." That earned him another smack against the arm from Julie. He yelped. "Hey! That's not how you treat your bassist!"
"Whatever, go get Luke, I want to introduce him, too!" Rubbing his arm he left, pouting, to get the guitarist. As soon as Reggie said a few words to him, he came jumping right over and put his arms around Julie's shoulder, placing a kiss on her cheek. She chuckled a little at the display of affection. "Luke, I wanna introduce you to-"
He cut her off, saying your name himself. "You talk so much about her. How could I not know?!" He smiled brightly and pulled you into a hug. "Great to finally meet you! How did you like the show?"
"Ah, it was amazing! You all looked so great out there! I had so much fun and everything sounded great! You even played my favorite song," you admitted.
"Oh, and which one is that?" You told him your favorite song, him nodding along to your answer. "Yeah, great taste you got there!" He looked around the room as a group of guys called his name. "Alright, I gotta go entertain for a bit, but we'll definitely catch up soon!" He promised with a wink and another kiss to Julie's cheek.
"Is he always like that?" You asked her.
"Most of the time." She nodded before breaking out into a laugh which you joined.
At some later point in the evening you found yourself on the couch with a drink in your hand. Reggie let himself fall into the seat next to you. "Hi there!" You smiled at him.
"Hi!" The small smile he gave you made him look even cuter. "Sitting here all by yourself?"
"Well, I was just waiting for you to come keep me company."
"Oh." That took him by suprise. "Here I am!"
You tilted your head to the side a bit, taking him in some more. He was still wearing the leather jacket you liked so much during the show with a simple white shirt below it and a pair of jeans. "I really liked to watch you play. I wanted to tell you that before, but you left so quickly."
"Ah, thank you! Yeah." He rubbed his neck as his cheeks turned pink. "Sorry that I left so quickly. I actually did want to talk to you some more! Julie told us you were coming to watch us play, so I- we put some extra effort into making this show amazing!"
"You certainly did! How long have you been playing bass for?"
"So long I can barely remember. I learned the guitar first though," he admitted.
"So you play the guitar as well, wow! I've never had any musical ability. Julie's mom tried to teach me to play the piano a long time ago, but it was completely hopeless." You chuckled at the memory. It was right in this room so many years ago.
"Maybe the piano just wasn't the right instrument for you? I can teach you some guitar if you want. Or bass, if you prefer."
"Alright, I'll hold you to it, but really don't get your hopes up. It might end in an absolute disaster," you joked. "Let me actually give you my number, so we can set a date."
"Oh yeah, totally!" He pulled out his phone and opened it to a new contact. You put your number in and called yourself right after saving it.
"Now I have your number as well." You smiled at him before saving the number into your phone as 'that cute bassist'. You hoped he had seen the name but when you looked back at him his eyes were trained on your face.
An hour moved by as you kept sitting on that couch, talking and laughing with Reggie. Luke, Alex and Julie had each come over for a few minutes but left fairly quickly to give the two of you some space.
"Hey, do you want to get some fresh air? It's getting a bit stuffy in here," you suggested to which Reggie agreed. The doors had been closed by now to keep the noise from reaching the neighbors, so that you hadn't noticed it'd gotten a bit chilly. Before you could say or do anything Reggie already took off his jacket and laid it over your shoulders. You pulled it on tighter as you took a seat on the stairs, the smell of the leather enveloping you. It smelled good, you imagined Reggie to smell distinctly of the jacket as well.
"Can I ask you a question?" He asked warily.
"Of course." You assured him, placing a hand on his thigh.
His eyes fell from your face to your hand. "Are you flirting with me? Like, are you actually hitting on me?" His hopeful eyes found yours again as your smile turned wider.
"Yes, Reggie, I have been all evening."
"Oh, ok, good, so I didn't misinterpret anything." He laughed a little and placed his hand over yours that was still lying on his thigh. "You see, I think you're really pretty. I've thought that since Julie and Flynn showed us pictures of you for the first time. And now I know, you're really funny, too, and I'm just totally blown away by you, so I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me?"
"I would like that a lot, yes. You lnow, I've had this little crush on you for a while now that Julie and Flynn have been making fun of me for. There's something about you that really draws me in." You bit your lip, taking Reggie's attention from your eyes to your lips.
"So, uhm, can I kiss you right now?" He asked.
Your lips spread into a wider smile as you shuffled closer to him on the stairs. "Yes, Reggie, I'd love that." There wasn't much of a gap between your faces anymore now, but he took his sweet time letting you feel his breath on your lips before finally connecting them. His lips moved softly against yours. He squeezed your hand on his thigh and brought the other one up to cradle your face.
You pulled back a little to catch your breath. When there was a crash from inside the garage your gaze quickly flicked to the door to check if anyone was coming out. When nobody did, you turned back to Reggie. "Do you wanna go back inside or keep doing this?" You asked him, hoping for the latter.
"I think, I'd rather stay out here a bit longer." He smiled before catching your lips in another kiss under the starlit sky.

I'm sorry (JATP One shot)
So here we go, turns out this has been sitting in my google drive for a while. I found it last night and finished it off. It might seem a little rushed, but time passes differently when you are in danger.
Tumblr media
What actually happened after Luke, Alex, and Reggie ate those street dogs?
It was the tingling in his hands he noted first, it had started not long after he grabbed the hot dog.
He wished he hadn’t ignored it.
If he hadn’t, he wouldn’t be in this situation right now.
He was kneeling beside Alex, who was screaming in pain. He was the first affected. He said his throat felt funny only one bite into the hot dog, now his throat was being burnt.
“Can someone call 911!” Luke tried to call out, but was starting to feel his own throat starting to burn. He watched as the man who had sold him the hotdogs pulled out his cell phone.
“Alex, hang on. They will be here soon!” Luke tried to comfort him. Alex didn’t reply, he couldn’t reply. He was curled up on his side, clutching his stomach. Suddenly, he began violently vomiting with no signs of stopping. He continued vomiting until splashes of red turned into a river of red.
“The hot dogs must have h-had battery acid on them,” Reggie said behind Luke. Luke turned to look at him and noticed he had started sweating. Luke could tell that Reggie wasn't okay, that the front he was seeing was fake. A pit started forming in Luke’s stomach as he realised this was serious. Luke tried to form words but suddenly was overtaken by a stabbing pain in his stomach. It came on so suddenly and painfully that he let out a scream.
“Luke!” Reggie yelled, worried for his friend. Luke tried to take deep breaths, to tame the pain but it didn't work. Instead, he put on a fake smile to make sure he didn't worry Reggie.
This can't be happening
“I'm all good, go, grab my drink. Quickly rinse your mouth out.” Luke told him, hoping it would rid Reggie's mouth of the battery acid.
Reggie nodded his head. He went to stand up but instead crumbled onto his knees before falling forward.
“Reggie!” Luke called out before making his way over, clutching his side. Reggie never responded. He felt down to Reggie’s chest and noted that it was rising and falling very slowly.
How was this happening? What was going on?
Luke tried shaking Reggie awake but he wouldn’t stir. He desperately tried pushing himself up from the ground to try and get back to Alex who had also fallen silent. His arms shook before his body collapsed onto the cold, damp street.
His mind began to run through everything. Everything he regretted. This was meant to be the biggest night of the career, of their lives. Instead, the young boy was lying face down in the dirty street, praying the pain would stop.
Why did he have to be so stubborn with his mom? He knew she only wanted what was best for him. After all, he was her only child.
Oh my god, mom.
Luke had suddenly had the realisation that he could quite possibly die on this street, and his mom would never know. His mom; the one that brought him into this world. The one that coaxed him from across the living room to take his first steps. The one that held tightly onto his hand as he walked into school on his first day. The one that bought him his first guitar. The one that had been there when Shirley, Luke’s first love, had broken his heart. The one who wanted the best life for Luke. The one that was worried that playing in a band wouldn’t support him enough on his own. His mother.
An anguished sob escaped his chest that hurt even more than the battery acid in his throat. He was so caught up in his thoughts he hadn’t even noticed the figure walking towards him.
“Hey kid. You’re okay,” The figure tried to comfort him. The figure mimed taking in deep breaths, which Luke mimicked and stopped his sobbing. “What’s your name kid?”
“Luke,” He whispered, trying his best to curl up in a ball hoping to relieve the pain in his stomach.
“Luke, don’t you worry. We are going to get you sorted.” The figure said to him. He could feel something placed over his face.
"My mom, I need my mom." He cried again.
“Don’t worry, we will contact her when we get to the hospital,”
“No, she doesn’t know where I am.” He tried to say under the mask. He kept his eyes closed, hoping that when he opened them he would wake up at home. He could feel his body being moved onto something softer, and he gathered that he must have been loaded into the back of an ambulance.
The figure continued checking him over, and asking him questions that seemed silly for the situation.
What's your name? How old are you? What's the date today? What time is it roughly?
Luke laid there in the stretcher, shivering even though he was covered in blankets as the person continued to ask him questions. When there was a lull in the questions, he quickly jumped in.
“The other guys, where are they?” Luke finally got to ask the figure a question.
“They are being looked after by my buddies, don't you worry.”
The figure continued to poke and prod Luke. Just when Luke thought the pain was going away, another wave rippled through. He felt as if it was ripping his throat apart. Was it ripping his throat apart?
He screamed out in pain and tried to desperately roll onto his side, hoping he could curl up and lessen the pain.
“I'm sorry kid, you've got to stay on your back."
“Please make it s-stop, please I'm b-begging you!” He screamed.
“I've already given you morphine, I can't give you anymore.”
“P-Please, I want my mom,” he cried, trying to move out of the figure's grasp.
“Don't you worry kid, she'll be here soon. We are just pulling up to the hospital now.” The figure told him. He could hear the unclicking of seat belts, and parts of a static voice in the background.
“Attention all units that attended Sunset Boulevard. This is an update that one of the patients-”
“Alright kid, let's go,” the figure announced, loud enough to drown out the radio. Luke opened his eyes to see now 2 figures working around him, getting him ready to offload.
“I'm gonna be sick,” Luke whispered, but one of the figures heard him and quickly gave him a bag just in time to catch his stomach's contents. The figures seemed to work quickly now at getting the stretcher out of the truck, and rushing towards a set of doors, all while Luke continued the throw up. He dropped back down onto the bed, closing his eyes. He was too tired to open them as he was wheeled into the emergency room.
“3 young males, found in an alleyway after accidentally ingesting battery acid. This is Luke, he has been alert and oriented the whole time,” The paramedic began to say as Luke felt himself being wheeled in before they dropped their tone, in a way so they hoped that Luke couldn’t hear
“I’ve just received word from the other crews who should be here soon. One of the males has been unconscious and convulsing since they arrived on scene, the other male has died on route here."
If the pain in stomach wasn’t enough, Luke could now feel his heart shattering.
“W-What do you mean they died? They couldn’t have. Who was it?” He yelled. All they did was turn and stare at him. Luke pushed himself up, trying to escape the gurney, only to be pushed back down by much stronger hands.
“Please, son. You can’t get up,” An older male said. “I’m Dr Macburn, I’m going to do all I can to save you and your friend.”
He knew that these words were meant to bring him comfort, but instead he burst into tears as the reality of potential death set in.
“I need my mom, please,” He whispered through tears.
“We are trying to get a hold of your Mom, Luke. Don’t worry, she will be here,” The older Dr said, holding onto the young boy’s hand.
Suddenly and without warning, Luke began to vomit. He screwed his eyes up and quickly turned to his side, trying to rid the bile but finding it hard to breath. He felt a tube go into his mouth and suck what was remaining. When he opened his eyes, he looked down and saw the stain that should have been green from bile was actually red.
He laid back down and sighed.
“Ring theatres, he is going to have a scope and then a laparotomy, to find out what is happening. We will most likely have to perform a tracheotomy too.” Dr Macburn called out to someone else, Luke was too tired to even open his eyes to see. “I want you to keep a watch on how much blood he vomits. He is obviously bleeding in his gastrointestinal track.”
“Sir, the other kid. I think we are about to lose him too.”
Luke could hear screaming as his mind swam through his thoughts.
What was going on?
Who was the other one on the way?
Who-
He didn’t want to think that thought.
Who was the one that had already died?
“You’re okay, you’re safe. Your mom will be here soon,” A voice tried to soothe him, he couldn’t tell where it was coming from, his eyes scrunched closed as if it was going to help stop the pain. The voice grabbed his arms and tried to rub them in a soothing manner. “Please, stop screaming. You’re okay. We are going to take care of you.”
Screaming? Was he screaming? That was when he realised the screams he had heard before were in fact his own.
He opened his eyes to see that a young nurse had been the owner of the voice trying to comfort him. He could see it in her eyes, she was worried for him. Did she think he was going to die?
“Please help me. Please don't let me die. Please,” Luke cried, grabbing the nurse's hand, not wanting her to leave him. “P-Please, I want my mom. She doesn't know where I a-am.”
“We've called your mom, she's on her way. She'll be here soon,” the nurse told him, brushing the hair out of his face.
He closed his eyes, imagining that the hand running through his hair was his mother's. Through his sobs, he let out a little whisper: “I'm so sorry, mom.”
Luke could feel his throat closing, he thought it was because he was about to cry but it wasn’t. No matter how hard he tried, he could not take deep enough of a breath. He opened his scared eyes and tried to look for the comforting voice from before, hoping they would help. As soon as he made eye contact with the nurse who was still trying to comfort him, she knew something was wrong.
“Sir, he’s stopped breathing!”
“We are going to have to perform the tracheotomy now! Grab the equipment!”
He closed his eyes again, trying to forget the pain and drown out the yelling that was happening around him. It was if he could feel how close death was, and he actually was wishing it would happen soon. He questioned every decision he had made in his life that led to this moment; dying alone knowing that at least one of his friends was already dead, and the other on the brink of death too.
It was at this moment, he noted the cold feeling spreading across him, as if it was the grim reaper himself wrapping the poor young boy in his arms.
“Mom, I’m sorry,” was all Luke could whisper as the darkness overtook him.
I apologise for any emotional distress this one shot has caused 😂

Snowman - Reggie Peters x Fem!Reader
Summary: Luke suggests a snowman building competition and Reader and Reggie do their best to provide the winner
Word Count: 558
Tumblr media
She was sitting alongside Julie and Flynn in Julie’s room, all three girls had textbooks open in front of them as they attempted to get through their homework but it was proving tricky from the moment that Flynn had spotted the snow. This was LA it didn’t snow often so the excitement that was running through the girls was understandable.
None of them were sure how long they had been working for or how long it had been snowing when a knock on Julie’s bedroom door tore their attention away from their work. “Come in” Julie replied, thinking it was maybe her dad but when Reggie’s head popped through the door with a big smile on his face they all knew that their homework was going to have to wait.
“Do you wanna build a snowman?” he sang, making Julie groan. She and Flynn shared a look before looking back between Reggie and Julie. If Julie’s reaction had dampened his mood then he didn’t show it, still waiting for their answer with the same big smile on his face.
“If you stop with the Frozen references then yes” Julie says, her resolve to finish the work first crumbling at the first offer.
Reggie cheers before poofing away, she assumes to tell Luke and Alex the news, as they all pack away their homework. Julie explains her reaction to Reggie’s outburst as it turns out one watch of the movie was all it took for him to be singing the songs from it over and over again, “It’s not just Reggie, it’s Luke as well” Julie divulges as they stop at the bottom of the stairs to pull on their winter boots and coats.
“I wouldn’t’ve thought that it was Luke’s thing” she muses, relatively amused at the thought and Flynn seems to agree.
“Whatchu talking about?” Alex’s voice comes from behind them, almost like he was singing it. Rolling his eyes when Julie mentioned Frozen, clearly it wasn’t only getting on Julie’s nerves.
As they made their way out into the backyard they came face to face with Luke and Reggie throwing snowballs at each other. She notices that the snowball seems to be just phasing through the boys rather than breaking up as it would if it hit her, Julie or Flynn.
“There they are,” Luke cheers as he spots them walking towards them.
“So snowmen?” she says, it comes out as a question than a statement though and she’s not sure who she’s asking.
“Yeah, we were thinking maybe a competition of sorts” Luke reveals, glancing around at the group, “Losers get snowballed” he chuckles.
Breaking up into teams of two, Luke claiming Alex and Flynn claiming Julie which leaves her with Reggie, though she’s not disappointed out of the whole group he seems to her more likely to help her build the better snowman. He’s clearly more excited than the rest of the group which also means it’s going to be a lot of fun for them both.
And when their snowman is called as the winner by Carlos, who was completely unaware whose snowman was whose, Reggie celebrates by picking her up and spinning her around as they both laugh uncontrollably because of his actions. While a down trodden Luke and Alex prepare for the impending snowballs they are to receive as the losers.

JULIE AND THE PHANTOMS AO3 SERIESES
Tumblr media
EVERYTHING FOR JULIE AND THE PHANTOMS
Julie Molina
Luke Patterson
Reggie Peters
(Any of the other characters don't have any requests written nor pending as for now, so I'm unable to have serieses for them as AO3 requires you to have at least one oneshot written to be able to add it to a series, and I can't promise serieses for characters who don't have requests pending/I have no ideas of my own for them)
For anyone who's concerned, THESE ARE NOT ONESHOT COLLECTIONS, they are made using AO3's "series" feature.
If you want to be informed about new fics for JATP or its individual characters, create an AO3 account and subscribe or bookmark any of those serieses listed above. There are buttons at the top right corner for those, or on top on mobile. I do not do Tumblr taglists anymore.
Also, if you're wondering, requests are ALWAYS open and you're welcome to leave one or multiple. Just remember to read my rules and pick a request type from this list.

First Line Game
Rules: List the first lines of your last 10 published fics and see if there’s a pattern. Tagged by the wonderful @floating-in-the-blue
Jatp-oneshots – (last story posted here)
Go the fuck to sleep - (peterpatterlina, T) Julie was just drifting off to sleep when the voice directly behind her said, "What time is our session in the studio tomorrow?
A Day in the Life of a Ghost Bassist – (Rated T)
The alarm on the phone Ray gave him just last week went off under Reggie’s pillow and he pulled it out to silence it quickly before it could wake the others up.
Jukebox One-shots (last story posted here)
I heard you calling - (Juke, G) Julie dug her hands into the sand again and again as the light slowly faded from the sky.
Julie and Luke’s Book of Dares – (Juke, T)
The first few lines aren’t mine (they’re from the show) - It’s the most detestable time of year. The forced cheer, the frenzied crowds. The carolers that have had so much eggnog they’ve forgotten the words and of course the couples that are naïve enough to mistake holiday spirit for being in love.
This is me - Love was fleeting, love died.
Love the way you love me – (peterpatterlina, E)
She was dancing.
The Truth is Finally Breaking Through – (Juke, T)
“Julie this suitcase is way too big and what’s this other bag even for?” Luke pointed at the luggage Julie had just deposited beside the band’s new to them van.
Bad Boys get Spankings – (Juke, E)
Luke was just finishing up working on a new song in the home studio when his beautiful wife came in looking stunning.
Fireworks – (Rarrie, Willex, Juke, T)
“Hey guys, here’s the blanket you asked for.”
To Date or Not to Date, That is the Question (Teen Wolf, Rated T)
Melissa checked her hair and makeup in the mirror by the door one more time before opening it to see her date for the night.
An Unlikely Duo – (Carrie and Willie, T)
Willie was just pulling the lasagna out of the oven when he finally heard Carrie pulling into the garage.
This was fun but I'm terrible with patterns. All I know for sure is if it's not Julie's pov then most of the time it's her who is being spoken of or to for 7 out of 10.

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let's spread the self-love 💗
Let's go let's go let's go!!!!
Hi Aster! Thank you for the ask!! Okay let’s do this thing
These are in no particular order because I can’t do that to myself
1) nothing but your crown on because it was the first smut I ever wrote and it took forever. I wrote most of it in the car on breaks at work, which sure was a choice lol. It’s Julie and the phantoms Julie x Luke centric fic but it’s part of a series that’s Julie x Luke x Reggie, creatively titled “the adventures of a chaotic villain throuple” which is… exactly what is says on the tin, featuring villain Julie, bodyguard Luke & evil scientist reggie.
2) your eyes look like coming home because it was supposed to be short and sweet and blew up into 20k+ and also kickstarted my love for very rare pair poly ships. This one is also Julie and the phantoms fic with Nick x Carrie x Flynn growing up and falling in love. It’s a 5+1 sleepover fic that I love to bits
3) always by your side because I got a prompt and my mind was like how can I make this incredibly ducking angsty and then I did it and made everyone cry and made myself cry. I’m very proud of the foreshadowing and storytelling on this one. Do bring tissues tho 🫶🏻it’s also jatp with Julie x Luke
4) someday (I’ll see you again) because it was a troped challenge and I came up with the ending plot part ways through and made myself cry but I think I wrote it really well and I’m super proud of it. (I did have to cut it down to hit the word count maximum since it was for a challenge so the ending is a bit more fast paced than I would normally do but I still love it) this is also a jatp fic which is fair because I wrote like 60. This one however is a Alex x Willie neighbors au w/ childhood friends to lovers. It’s already tagged but trigger warning for non-physical child abuse, homophobia & conversion camp. No actual camp is featured “on screen” and I tried to treat it as respectfully as I could but it is a plot point so avoid if needed.
5) don’t talk to me or my scary goth gf ever again because it was supposed to be a short crack-adjacent Oneshot that ended up sparking a series. It’s Wenclair fic with the appropriate amount of Xavier bashing (also haven’t reread it in a while but probs not super Tyler friendly??? The joys of being a multishipper 🙃) I’m still working on the sequels with Wednesdays and Weems povs. Anyways it was fun and i enjoyed writing it but was pleasantly surprised it was received as well as it was.

Hello! I’m participating in @ficwritersforreproductiverights to help raise money for organizations that protect reproductive rights! Send me a screenshot of your donation (AFTER removing sensitive personal info) and tell me which idea you would like to see me write! Which ever option has the most votes after Aug 7th will be the one I will do.
The voting options consist of one Ace Attorney oneshot idea, one Julie and The Phantoms oneshot idea, and three multichap ideas for a crossover between the two fandoms! Here are all the options:
1. Edgeworth Goes to Walmart (GONE WRONG!)
Yeah, that’s it. Crack taken seriously, background Narumitsu. I don’t have much else to say.
2. Carlos and Reggie Fantasy AU
Carlos and Reggie being brothers in a fantasy setting! Very fluffy, includes some fun worldbuilding and magic if that’s your thing! Might end up using this setting for something later...
3. Flynn Taylor: Ace Attorney
Rookie defense lawyer, Flynn Taylor meets three ghosts from the old band Sunset Curve that only she can see. With their help on investigations and in the courtroom, can Flynn figure out the mystery of the boy’s death while defending her innocent clients from demon prosecutor and old friend, Julie Molina?
JATP in the AA setting! Flynn as the protag, the sunset curve boys as her co-counsel, and Julie as the rival prosecutor! Will include Julie x Flynn, and probably some other gay ships.
4. Trucy and The Phantoms
After the death of her mother, Trucy has been unable to play or sing. But after looking through some of her mother’s things, three ghosts appear, one looking shockingly similar to a famous musician that died over 20 years ago. Little do they know, these ghosts are not only the spark that will reignite Trucy’s love for music, but also the key to several long lost mysteries...
Ft. Klapollo, bg Narumitsu, and possibly Franmaya. Will include Clay Terran somehow. Other than Apollo, I’m not sure who the other main ghosts will be yet, or even if I should include more ghosts in the main group or not (I’d love to hear some ideas). Klavier will not be part of the ghost band, but he is relevant.
5. Sunset Turnabout
Nick(JATP) is accused of murder! With the help of Wright Anything Agency, Julie’s ghost band, and her friends, proving his innocence should be easy, right? But there is far more to the case than meets the eye, including a link to the death of 3 Sunset Curve members, and much, much more...
A true Ace Attorney and Julie and The Phantoms crossover! A case fic including the entire JATP cast and as many AA characters as I can fit without it getting bloated. Takes place post JATP S1, and vaguely post AA6 after I match up the timelines. Got lots of cool ideas for this one.
--------------------
Whether you’re planning on donating or not, feel free to ask me questions about any of these prompts (or any questions about how the voting works and such) !
(Votes are counted by quantity, not value.)

WITH LOVE, THE GHOSTS | Julie and the Phantoms - Part One
Tumblr media
not my gif!
.•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•..•´¯`•.
Author’s Note: Gah… I'm such a procrastinating butterfly. I should be writing my Billy Russo series which I'm so excited about, but I just want to be able to read it already instead of having to write first + I'm currently writing each and every chapter instead of the next one (struggles of a fanfiction writer - am I right?). So, what do I do instead? I flew from one of my obsessions to another and got inspired by this week's @flashfictionfridayofficial prompt.
Anyways... This fic will be a little to late for some of you guys, but still: Merry Christmas everyone! And if you do not celebrate Christmas I still hope you have a wonderful day and a rest of the year filled with love and happiness. You did it, you fought through it. I’m sure you had your own pair of himbo ghosts taking care of you.
word count: ~ 1k
summary (and basically background info): Y/N is Julie's & Flynn's friend who doesn’t know about the ghosts (let’s just say she believes that they’re holograms). The boys become attached to Y/N due to her kindness and positivity and do everything in their (ghostly) powers to keep her days sunny and bright, especially in winter.  Or: Two times Y/N is oblivious to the boys 'paranormal' activities and the one time she notices it
prompt: Comfort in the Cold by @flashfictionfridayofficial
warnings: english is not my first language, therefore, typos

#1: Luke
Slowly and quietly you made your way down the stairs of the Molina household, leaving Julie's and Flynn's sleeping forms behind. Even though you had just watched multiple Christmas movies and probably eaten double your weight in popcorn, your stomach was still asking for more. As Julie knew about your habits of needing a midnight snack and since Ray repeatedly told you to make yourself at home you weren't feeling bad about stealing some small bits and pieces out of their fridge or cupboards.
Which is why you were straining your ears to hear any sounds that might indicate that you had woken up either Carlos or Ray, but you were only met with silence. Releasing the breath you were holding you hastily hopped down the last few steps down to the living room, grabbed the stair railing and used the momentum of your movement to swiftly swing yourself in the direction of the kitchen, freezing at the sight that greeted you.
A quick glance at the clock told you it was 2 a.m. and the continuous silence indicated that nobody except you was awake and around. Yet, as you hesitantly took a view steps towards the kitchen counter, pulling your blanket like a shield tighter around your body, there was a perfectly fine peanut-butter/jelly sandwich waiting for you, a smiley made out of Nutella painted onto it. Your favourite midnight snack.
A small note peaked out from under the plate and it took you some time to decipher the chicken scratch. Can't have our favourite groupie going to bed hungry!
Smiling and shaking your head, thinking that either Julie or Flynn must have sneaked out of the room sometime earlier to make you this sandwich you happily bit into it.
If you'd known that there was a brown-haired ghost with hazel eyes sitting opposite to you and watching you with a smile, the sandwich would have probably gotten stuck in your throat.
#2: Alex
Doing multiple Christmas movie marathons would be fun they said. No need to worry they said. Only Christmas cheer and joy they said. Well… long story short, even fun movies can make you bawl like a baby!
A few days after the midnight snack incident, which you completely forgot about, you were once again sitting on Julie's bed. With her and Flynn to your left and right, you had been watching different movies on her computer. Currently, however, you were only trying. Tears were blurring your vision and your sniffles were the only sounds reaching your ear.
Pressing the plushy's soul that Flynn had won you at a fair out of its body and sobbing into it, you felt Julie shift beside you and lay her head in your lap and mumbling something while Flynn was searching for a handkerchief.
"Whose idea was it again to watch this movie?" you tried to ask, but your voice came out all thick and full of emotion, so you weren't sure if they understood or heard you at all.
What you didn't know was that the boys were watching the movie, and now mostly you, with big eyes.
"Remember the day when Julie was crying in the garage and then Flynn came in crying too? Remember how I said that two girls crying are worse than one girl crying? This… this is way worse!" Luke pointed exaggeratedly at every single one of you and moved quickly out of Flynn's way when she left the room to get a box of tissues.
"Dude… they're not actually crying crying. It's just a really sad movie," Alex said and sighed quietly when he heard Reggie whisper, "Do you think that's what Willie meant when he said Caleb floods the place during movie night?"
"That's... no, okay." Shaking his head Alex moved towards the bed and sat carefully at Flynn's place to not alert you of the shift beside you. Then he gently took a paw of the plushy that you weren't currently pressing into an embrace and lifted it to wipe away your tears and free your sight.
You sniffled, too confused and full of emotion to realize what just happened and that it couldn't possibly have been Julie or Flynn, and whispered a small, "Thank you".
Alex smiled, proud of his action.
#3: Reggie
You didn't even bother to take off your shoes or wipe away the residual snow still sticking to your hair as you flopped yourself down onto your bed, groaning into your pillow. Everything was already grey, wet or at least soggy anyway. To say your day had been bad was an understatement.
It's the most wonderful time of the year With the kids jingle belling And everyone telling you be of good cheer It's the most wonderful time of the year
Confused you lifted your head and starred at your computer who apparently decided to become sentient and cheer you up.
It's the hap-happiest season of all With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings When friends come to call It's the hap-happiest season of all
The next thing that happened would forever be burned into your brain. Your favourite pen suddenly lifted itself up into the air and started to scribble down onto a nearby paper. Slowly and unsure you stood up and inched closer to your desk, but as soon as you were able to sneak a peak onto the paper the pen stopped and fell down.
Shaking your head you rubbed your eyes and turned back to your bed. "This is the weirdest lucid dream I ever had." The moment you flopped back down onto your bed you heard the familiar scratching of pen on paper again. Turning your head there it was again - the floating pen. "What?"
However, once again, as soon as you reached the desk the pen fell down, lifeless. “Alright... alright. I understand! Don’t worry, I won’t sneak a peak.”
"I am dreaming... right?" You weren't. Pinching yourself hurt, trying to breathe through a closed nose didn't work and your pointer finger would not move through the palm of your hand.
Shakily, yet weirdly motivated by the happy Christmas music still playing in the background, you picked up the note laying beside the now still pen. "Merry Christmas Y/N! Lots of love from Reggie, Alex and… Who?"
"It told you, Luke… I should just have signed for us all."
"Shut it Reg, I know my handwriting sucks."

damn cute | reggie peters
pairing: reggie peters x fem!reader
summary: reggie has a little problem slipping up by saying things sometimes and it gets worse when he talks to attractive girls like you.
warning: swearing, making out.
Tumblr media
Julie, Flynn, and the boys were sitting at a table of one of their favorite dinners around, Tambo’s. It was their usual program for the weekend, but this time there was something else catching the boys’ attention.
Julie was literally vibrating with enthusiasm. Everyone else seemed to notice that and got confused, exchanging glares and trying to guess what in the world could get the girl suddenly so excited.
“Ok, what are you hiding?” Luke asked and Julie rolled her eyes at him.
“It’s a surprise.”
“You know, i think we dealt with enough surprises in the past few years.” Alex said.
“C’mon, Jules!” Reggie shouted. “Just tell us.”
“Fine!” she blurted out. “So... one of my best friends is moving back here. She’s in her way right now. And congratulations, you just ruined the surprise.”
“Oh my God, Y/N?!” Flynn exclaimed, suddenly interested in the conversation. Julie excitedly nodded. “How did you not tell me this before?!”
“It was supposed to be a surprise!” Julie retorted. The two girls had smiles plastered on her faces while the boys still seemed clueless.
“Sorry, who?” Alex questioned.
“That is it?” Reggie asked looking disappointed. “No puppies? No hamsters?”
“You guys gonna love her.” Flynn said ignoring Reggie’s questions.
“When will we meet her?” Luke asked taking a sip of his milkshake.
“She will be here any minute, actually.” Julie said quickly glancing at the door and turning to face the boys again.
“Where is she from?” Alex asked.
“New York. I met her when i was a kid through Carrie when she used to live here.” Molina answered and Reggie scoffed. “What?”
“New york? Through Carrie? I’m not really into dealing with a rich kid in our friend group.” Reggie retorted.
“First of all, that’s rude. You don’t even know her, she’s not like that.” she defended. “And besides Flynn, Y/N was the only one by my side when mom died, before she had to move away. Now she’s here and you guys better treat her right or i’m dropping you.” Julie said playfully and Reggie just crossed his arms.
When he was about to say something again, you entered the dinner, making the bell on the door ring and catching everyone’s attention.
Okay, you were not what Reggie thought you’d be.
The sweet grin on your face and the way you spontaneously acted made the guys - specially Reggie - realize you were very different from what they thought a Carrie’s friend from New York would be. You held the door open for an old couple who were leaving and murmured a “good afternoon” when they thanked you.
“Y/N!” Julie yelled getting up from the table. You immediately spotted her and smiled at your best friend, walking towards the girl and embracing her in a big hug. Flynn was the next, hugging you warmly and murmuring “i missed you”. They leaded you to the table with three boys who you knew that were part of Julie’s band.
While Alex and Luke watched the whole scene between you and the other girls, Reggie just couldn’t take his eyes off you.
He thought you were absolutely stunning.
Reggie was breathless. The other two boys were smiling when you got closer, and before you take a seat, Julie introduced you to them.
“Guys, this is Y/N. Y/N meet Luke, Alex and Reggie.” she said.
“Hey, guys. It’s so nice to meet you!” you said, shaking hands with each of them and snapping the bassist out of his thoughts. Alex and Luke said it back and Reggie just nodded, not trusting his words and trying to play the cool. “Honestly, i couldn’t wait to meet the guys who brought music back to Julie’s life. You are really important to me already.”
Why did she have to be this pretty and so nice?
What Reggie didn’t know was that you were also enchanted by the boy. You thought he was just so cute, kind of shy but at the same time trying to play the cool since the moment you sat at the table. You also found it really cute how the way he dressed completely contrasted with the way he acted. And God, you couldn’t help but notice how good looking he was.
While you were talking and answering questions regarding your New Work life to Julie and Flynn, Reggie was focused on how pretty you looked. Your hair looked so good, just like your lips. He had loved your clothes and your style. And there was something about your smile, too. You were truly one of the most gorgeous girls he had ever seen.
“My God, you’re so damn cute.”
It took a few seconds for him to realize everyone had stopped talking and was staring at him, while his gaze was still on you.
Oh, no.
He didn’t just said that out loud, did he?
“Very smooth, Reggie.” Luke joked holding back his laugh. Alex had a smirk on his face, while Julie and Flynn looked surprised at first but quickly smirked at the two of you too.
His eyes widened and he quickly started to look for an excuse for what he just did without looking dumb for you. On the other hand, you didn’t try to hide the rosy blush on your cheeks. Instead, you just stared at Reggie with a big - and flirtatious - grin and waited for him to say something.
“I’m so sorry, i-i didn’t... i didn’t realize, you know, that i was... i didn’t mean to say that out-“ he tried to explain himself but stopped as soon as he realized you were looking at him smiling whit your bottom lip between your teeth.
“Reggie... You know, i think you’re damn cute too.” you said putting a lock of hair behind your ear and he immediately blushed at your words. “Can you scoot over? Today i’m sitting next to you, if that’s ok.”
“S-sure!” he answered and offered you a shy smile.
[...]
Since the night you moved back to your hometown and met the guys about two weeks ago, Julie and Flynn wouldn’t stop teasing you about Reggie. The friendship between you two had grown based on flirting. The way you acted and the way you looked at each other made it very clear how not-platonic your relationship actually was.
“It’s finally movie night!” Flynn yelled from the kitchen.
Your friends had decided to organize a movie night and watch a few classics from the ‘90s, your and Reggie’s personal favorites. Everything was ready and you were just waiting for the boys to show up.
“We’re here!” Luke announced as they entered the house.
“Took you long enough.” you sang out from the couch, turning to face them.
“Hey!” Reggie greeted and you smiled at him.
“Finally!” Julie said.
“We brought some snacks!” Alex said putting the bag on the table.
After a few minutes, everyone was ready in their sits. Alex sat in the armchair on youf left and Reggie in the one on your right. You, Julie, Luke and Flynn squeezing your bodies together on the couch since no one wanted to sit on the floor. Flynn finally pressed the play, starting officially your movie night.
“This is going to be fun!” she exclaimed.
They didn’t even get to finish the first movie.
Looking around, only you and Reggie seemed to be awake. While everyone else was asleep, Luke’s body started to lean down towards yours and there was no more space left by your other side. It got uncomfortable enough to make you get up from the couch and decide to sit on the floor. It wasn’t too comfortable either but it was better than having your body smashed by Luke and Flynn.
“What are you doing on the floor?” Reggie whispered from the armchair snapping you out of your thoughts.
“Um? Oh, Luke and Flynn’s bodies were suffocating me.” you answered and he chuckled.
“Come sit with me.” he said patting his thighs. You blushed at the thought of sitting so close to him and shook your head.
“Oh, no. Thanks.” you mumbled a little embarrassed and he just nodded and turned his attention to the movie again.
A few minutes had passed and the floor was getting really cold, making your body shiver. You fought against your embarrassment and decided to stood up and walk to Reggie. You playfully pouted and he looked at you.
“Is your offer still available?” you asked and he just giggled, nodding. You sat on his thighs and he instantly embraced you, putting one hand on your waist and the other one resting on your leg, trying to make it more comfortable for you.
“Is this ok?” he whispered when your body tensed a little and you could feel his hot breath on your neck. You didn’t trust your words that moment so you just nodded, giving him a sweet shy smile.
It was more than ok.
His left hand started to drawn invisible circles on your skin and the gentle touch of his fingers made you melt. Reggie couldn’t care less about the movie on the screen, the only thing he could focus on was how pretty you looked in his arms. After a few seconds you rested your head on his shoulder.
“Is it comfortable for you?” Reggie whispered one more time and in the second you turned to face him to give an answer you realized how close your lips were. You stared at each other’s eyes and mouths for what it looked like hours. Before he could say anything you close the space between the two of you, starting a sweet but passionate kiss. His hand went to back of your neck while his thumb gently caressed your check. Your hands were on his shoulders and neck when you broke the kiss and stood up. You were unsure if what had just happened was right. It did felt right, but you had to think.
“Um, i’m going to the kitchen, i’ll be right back.” you excused and walked away from him, leaving the boy clueless.
You grabbed some water, almost spitting everything out when you heard a voice saying your name.
“Y/N!” Julie and Flynn called at the same time.
“You two literally almost killed me!” you exclaimed.
“You and Reggie had a damn of a moment!” Flynn muttered and you felt your cheeks heat up.
“What?! How the heck did you saw that? You were literally sleeping!”
“Or we were just pretending to...” she said and you raised your eyebrows, knowing that they were fully and completely asleep a few moments ago. “We were sleeping but we woke up minutes ago. Time enough to catch your make out session with lover boy!” the girls grinned widely and you tried to hide the silly smile on your face. “Why did you leave him?”
“I don’t know, i just had to think... I mean, does he feel the same way or was it just a moment?” you sighed. “I like Reggie, i really do. A lot.”
“You do?” you heard a voice say behind you and panicked as soon as you realized who that voice belonged to. Reggie was standing a few steps away from you at the doorway. You turned to face the girls, who just had a huge grin on their faces.
“YOU SET THIS UP!” you yelled and before they could answer you continued. “I’m going to kill you two. Now.”
“Not today!” Julie said leaving the kitchen with Flynn and locking the door with you and Reggie inside.
“Julie Molina, you better unlock this right now!” you yelled, wanting to avoid any embarrassment with Reggie.
“Figure your things out!” she yelled back.
“I think she’s right.” Reggie said, walking to you. “We should figure it out, right?”
“Reg...” you began. “It’s ok if you don’t feel the same way.”
“What?!” he laughed. “Are you really that oblivious? And i thought i couldn’t be more obvious. I like you, Y/N. A lot.” Reggie admitted and before you could say anything he kissed you for the second time that night.
His right hand grabbed your waist and slightly squeezed it making your body shiver. You gently tugged his hair making the boy gasp, earning a proud smile of you. This kept going for a few minutes until you two pull away, breathless and with your eyes still closed.
“What if i take you on a date?” he asked a few seconds after your little make out session ended.
“That sounds amazing.”
“Good.” he whispered relieved and you grinned. He was so pure.
“Julie, you can open the door now.” you said a little louder so she could hear it. Everything stayed silent. “Julie? Flynn?” you tried again.
No answers.
“I swear to God, if they fell asleep...” you started.
“You know, we could at least enjoy our time since we’re stuck here.” the boy suggested using a flirt tone.
“And what’s on your mind?” you said taking a step closer and pulling your bottom lip between your teeth.
“Have i ever told you how damn cute you are?” he asked and you pretended to think. He laughed and leaned down to kiss you again.
“I feel like i’ve heard that before.”

Congratulations on 5k followers! Can I get a platonic 90’s Reggie x female reader imagine with prompt 22? The reader is friends with all the boys from Sunset Curve but is closest to Reggie. They have almost a sibling type relationship. Her boyfriend broke up with her. The boys from Sunset Curve cheer her up by taking her on a road trip. It was Reggie’s idea.
it's road trip time indeed

Tumblr media
You don’t know that you’ve felt this miserable in quite some time, if ever. You were doing great before– wonderful life, passable schoolwork, excellent boyfriend who loved you, or at least claimed that he loved you. Can you see where this is going? Should you, perhaps, have seen it in the weeks before this, when you missed how he was falling out of love with you just as quickly as you were falling in love with him?
Instead, you saw nothing of the sort, and now you’re the one trying not to cry in the corner of your best friends’ music studio. Their invitation has been a constant one, repeatedly extended especially after your boyfriend broke up with you. You figured you could use a change of scenery in the hopes of feeling even a little less terrible, so you came.
In truth, it has done a fairly good job of brightening your spirits. You’ve been friends with the bandmates of Sunset Curve for a long time, Reggie Peters the longest. He was the one you met first, and he’s the one who’s become something of a brother to you. The others are wonderful, of course, but some part of your heart will always associate Reggie the closest with family.
This also means that he’s the most concerned about your post-breakup state. Every few minutes, he’s casting a worried glance your way. He’s been a little distracted for the past few minutes with some business in the far corner of the studio, but you haven’t really been paying attention to the boys’ practice.
Eventually, Reggie comes over to you, the three others hanging back with the smiles of someone who’s got something to hide. Reggie is practically jumping with excitement, and he can hardly sit still long enough to grab a chair opposite you.
You arch a brow at him. “You look pleased. Has Luke finally caved and let you talk him into doing a country song or two?”
Reggie shakes his head sadly. “No, but he should definitely consider it!”
This last part is said in a shout directed towards the others. Luke Patterson, the offending singer, just mouths ‘No way’ at the back of Reggie’s head, and you have to choke back a laugh.
“Anyway,” Reggie says briskly, “how are you doing?”
“I feel like I hate all boys,” you comment matter of factly.
Reggie chuckles. “I think you’re in bad company for that. Besides, I think I have something that could make you feel better.”
You glance at him quizzically. “What’s that?”
Reggie reaches into his pockets, pulling his hands out closed around two small objects. “Are you ready for this?”
Cautiously, you nod. “I think so, but I’m getting worried now. What’s going on?”
“This,” Reggie declares proudly, “is the answer to mending your broken heart.”
He opens one hand to reveal five tickets to a concert by your favorite band, and then turns over the other hand to hold up car keys.
You look between the two objects, stunned. “You got tickets? That’s insane! Wait, but they’re playing one state over. That’s nowhere near us.”
Reggie nods encouragingly, and seconds later, you get it.
Your eyes light up with unbridled joy, all heartbreaking boys forgotten. “Are we going on a road trip?”
“Right on the money,” Reggie says happily, “We could all use a change of scenery, so why not? Clear your schedule, we leave Monday morning. This is going to be so much fun.”
You beam at him for a second longer, then throw your arms around him. “You guys are the best friends ever. I can’t believe this is happening.”
Alex, Luke, and Bobby rush over to join in the group hug. You can feel your spirits soaring with every passing second.
“It was Reggie’s idea,” Alex mumbles, “He wanted to make sure you knew that.”
“Like, really sure,” Bobby confirms, “It was actually crucial that one of us bring that up. My life was threatened.”
Reggie scoffs. “I would never do something like that. I’m sure you’ll live far longer than any of us, Bobby. All that sarcasm is good for your health.”
Bobby lunges forward to swat Reggie on the shoulder, causing all of you to break into laughter. Yes, this is going to be a good trip indeed.
Monday morning finds you with your overnight bag packed, ready by the doors of the studio to take off. Bobby insists on taking the first shift of driving, which is probably for the best. The rest of you are either half asleep or so hyper on caffeine that you might start thinking you could fly.
Alex takes shotgun, racing Luke for the prodigious spot. He only makes it in time by the slimmest of margins, something Luke is quick to point out for the next hour or so. That leaves you, Reggie, and Luke in the back, which you’d argue were the best spots of all.
Alex masters music by default, given his position. The five of you scream out the lyrics to songs playing on the radio for as long as you can until the stations turn to ads, at which point Alex is forced to scramble to find the next channel before an uproar ensues.
You all take a break about an hour or so in, jumping out of the car to run circles around a nearby rest stop. It’s gotten fairly hot by now, so you all grab slushies at a gas station across the street. Luke tests his balance by walking on the edge of the curb, one careful foot over the other. He’s actually pretty good about not falling until Reggie fully tackles him out of nowhere.
They land on the grass with a solid impact, but they’re both laughing so hard that you can tell they aren’t hurt in the slightest. The conflict earns you the irritated stares of a couple exiting a nearby boutique, which only makes your grins broaden.
After you’ve sufficiently rested, you all pile back into the car. Positions are switched, with Alex driving. Luke claims shotgun as soon as he can, fixing all of you with an evil stare, all but daring you to try and fight him for the spot. If any of you raised an objection, you’re fairly sure you’d be taken out within the span of a second.
About half an hour into the second shift, you, Reggie, and Bobby realize that there are levers on the sides of the seats that cause the backs to snap backwards into a reclining position in moments. Thus launches an intensive period of brutal warfare in which all pleasantries are retired. You’ll be minding your own business and then your lever is pulled, causing you to be flung backwards out of the blue.
You and Reggie target Bobby at first, but Reggie decides that becoming a traitor is his best career choice and turns on you when you least expect it. Shrieks of surprise and betrayal fill the air, underscoring the beat of the music. Luke tries to complain about the three of you being so loud that he can’t hear the lyrics, which leads to all of you immediately reaching for the lever of his seat at the same time. It’s simply what he deserves.
You take the next driving shift, as apparently you and Reggie are causing too many problems and need to be separated. Luke retires the position of shotgun to Bobby, but he quickly becomes invested in launching a punch buggy conquest against the boys on either side of him, so he’s not doing too badly, either.
After your driving shift, the lot of you decide to pull in at a local restaurant or some lunch. The five of you get burgers and sandwiches, eating on red and white checkered tablecloths. You’ve been saving up for a while, so you’re all able to get milkshakes for dessert, just because.
Alex drinks his shake too fast and clutches his temples in the agony of a brain freeze. Despite his supposed anguish, however, he seems to have healed pretty quickly and can be spotted drinking again within the span of about fifteen seconds.
Reggie takes the last driving shift, delivering all of you to the hotel. The night passes quickly; although all any of you really did was sit in a car for several hours, every one of you is somehow exhausted. You do hear reports of pillow fights, however, and certainly take part in some yourself.
The concert is the next night. The five of you take the opportunity to explore the town during the day. Luke stumbles upon a mural on a nearby wall and instantly gets the idea for some killer lyrics. He panics briefly, being so far from his studio, but you reveal that you always carry a notebook and a pen for just such a purpose and hand it over. He claims that he’ll dedicate the next album in your honor, which makes you laugh.
Soon enough, the sun starts to fade from the sky, and your merry group heads over to the concert hall. You think this night will go down as one of your best memories, the five of you screaming the lyrics at the top of your lungs. Air guitars abound, drum solos are rapped out against legs, and you’re all so thrilled to be here that you can’t imagine a world in which you didn’t have this.
It’s the most wild night of your life, plain and simple, and the best time you’ve ever had. The five of you are talking about the concert the entire drive back, analyzing everything from dance moves to song mashups to concert attendance. You can tell that Reggie is getting ideas for an upcoming show, but then again, they all are. You don’t see something like that without wanting to live it for yourself.
As for you, you couldn’t be happier. Even when the trip ends, you’re not thinking about any ex boyfriends anymore. You have enough Polaroids to paper your walls, enough memories to keep you ecstatic for years. All of you agreed that you definitely need to do road trips more often, so you can count on something like this in the near future.
After all, what’s not to love? You have your best friends, and at the end of the day, that’s all you’ll ever need. When you’re with them, you’re happier than ever, and you can’t think about a single worry when you’re around them. It’s good, you’re good, and nothing could ever be better.
requested by @thornyrose463, i hope you enjoy!

Ski Trip
Summary: when the reader agrees to go on the annual ski trip up to the mountains with her boyfriend, Luke, and her friends she expected to go looking at mountains. But what she ends up doing doesn't require much hiking
Pairings: alive!Luke Patterson x reader
Words: 2.4k
Warnings: THIS IS NSFW FOREPLAY SMUT PEOPLE
If any of you have ever had a conversation with me and you read this fic, no you didn't
...........................................
"What are you two doing tomorrow?" Julie asked you.
You rolled into your stomach and propped your head up in your hands. “I’m not sure, but I know what we're doing next weekend, unfortunately.”
That peaked Julie’s interest, you weren’t usually much of a complainer. “Why unfortunately?” she questioned.
“Because I'm going on the Ski trip with him,” you whined. You wanted to spend time with Luke, you just didn't wanna go on the trip.
“Oh my god, you get to go?” she excitedly asked.
“Not helping,” you commented.
Julie smirked. “Sorry not sorry, I’ve been trying to get you to go for the past two years. And the first year, I couldn’t even go,” she pointed out.
“Yeah, so why would I have gone if you and Flynn weren’t even gonna be there?” you asked. As if on cue, Flynn walked down the stairs.
“Heard you guys were talking about me, all good things I hope?” she spoke as she walked down the stairs.
“Always,” you said, somewhat sarcastically.
She motioned for you to scoot over so she could have some space on the couch.
“So, if we’re done talking about me, did I hear someone say something about the ski trip?” Flynn questioned.
Before you could open your mouth Julie was already telling Flynn about how you were coming on the trip.
“You are?” Flynn squealed.
You tried to not get excited from their joy, but it was impossible; they were contagious.
You shyly smiled. “Yes, I’m going.”
“Yayyy!” Flynn yelled. The girl was practically jumping up and down.
“Oh who are you sharing a room with?” Flynn asked.
“Luke and I are,” you answered.
The girls exchanged a look you knew all too well.
“Shut up!” You covered your face with a pillow.
“We didn’t say anything!” they protested in almost complete unison.
You could feel your cheeks burning up. “Yeah, but you thought it,” you argued.
“Well whether we thought it or said it, you’re sharing a room with your boyyyyyyyfriend,” Flynn sang.
“If you guys start sing teasing me, I will leave,” you threatened.
“Don’t you need us to pick out your outfits?” Julie remembered.
“Oh, shit, yeah.”
“So in other words you have no leverage?” Flynn realized.
“I’m your ride home,” you reminded her.
“Outfits it is, but do not think we will be forgetting about this!” Flynn cried as she walked up to your bedroom.
“Whatever Flynn!” you yelled back.
“She’s right you know,” Julie slyly commented.
You just huffed in response.
The two of them did a very good job at helping maximize your california wardrobe for the mountains. Granted you had to go buy a couple things in advance, but overall, you felt confident that you could bear the cold of the mountains.
“Alright, I think you’ll survive,” Flynn proclaimed.
You closed your suitcase, and surprisingly you didn’t even have to sit on it.
“Thank you guys, I really appreciate it.”
“No problem, it was our pleasure, especially since you’re actually coming this year,” Julie said.
You dropped them both back off their houses and they were nice enough to spare you from embarrassing you in the car ride.
...........
You heard someone creeping up behind you as you grabbed your stuff to head to your second class, and as you felt arms wrap around your waist you knew it was Luke.
You turned to face him. “So I was thinking if we get one of the window rooms then we can see the snow when it falls,” he proposed.
Your face lit up. “Wait, it’s gonna snow when we’re up there?” you excitedly asked.
He happily watched your beaming face “I mean that’s what the weather said.”
“Oh my god! I haven’t seen snow since-” you paused, “actually I don’t remember, but it’s been awhile.”
“Well there’s a good chance that’s gonna happen,” he said.
“You know you’re actually required to show up to school for them to allow you to come right?” you teased. Though originally it had been a legitimate concern.
He licked his lips. “I’ve been coming everyday so I could come on this trip,” he defended himself.
“Coming to school and staying in school are two very different things Patterson,” you playfully reminded him.
He leaned in closer and his voice got quieter. “And what’s that?”
You resisted the urge to swallow and pulled away from him. “One is what I’m doing right now, because I need to go to class.”
He pulled his lips tightly before sighing. “You got me there,” he admitted.
“I always do,” you said, as you started walking off. You turned around to see him still standing there, you would be lying if you said it didn’t bring you joy.
“Go to class Luke!” you yelled back at him.
“You got it!” he saluted you and walked the other way.
You playfully rolled your eyes. That boy would be the death of you, but you supposed there were worse ways to go.
That Friday you didn’t have any school since the school board figured it was pointless to send a bunch of kids to school the day before they went on a ski trip. There wasn’t going to be any actual learning anyway. You usually would’ve spent some of the day at Julie’s; which you did, but today it wasn’t in the studio for practice. You figured since she had helped you pack, you could at least keep her company as she packed.
“So who are you sharing a room with?” you asked her, as she sorted through her jeans.
“Me and Flynn just figured we’d share one,” Julie said offhandedly.
You chose to not comment on how she was obviously forcing herself to be casual.
“Ah I see, do you know if Alex and Reg are coming?”
“Yeah, and get this Alex and Willie are sharing a room,” she gossiped.
“I’m calling it right now, they're gonna start dating by the end of the weekend,” you hypothesized.
“I 100% agree.”
The two of you spent the next hour or so just discussing what sort of things you wanted to do while you were there over the weekend, and of course how much Flynn was running around her house frantically changing outfits. You actually were excited about going, not necessarily about the actual trip, and about dealing with certain classmates, but you were looking forward to being with Luke and hanging out with your friends.
For some reason when you woke up the next morning you were a little nervous, you supposed it was because you had never been skiing or snowboarding for that matter.
You got ready pretty minimally considering you were soon to be on a five hour bus ride. None of your family was up yet so when Luke pulled into your driveway you slipped out the door.
“You got everything?” Luke asked.
“Everything except my chill,” you responded with a smile.
“You’re gonna be alright, and you don’t have to do anything there you don’t wanna do, so if you don’t wanna risk a broken leg, then don’t.”
Despite your anxieties, you knew he was still right.
“Thanks Luke.”
“Anything for you.”
When the two of you got to the bus everyone else in your group had already gotten there. You, the rest of the band, Flynn, and Willie had made a plan for the bus.
“We have arrived,” you announced to your friends as you and Luke took your spots.
“And just in time too, people kept trying to take your seats,” Willie reported.
“Thanks for saving them,” Luke responded.
The two of you continued chatting with the rest of your friends until the bus driver instructed everyone to take their seats. The majority of everyone slept on the way up there but you were too anxious to get there to sleep. Instead you watched youtube as Luke napped on your shoulder.
“Luke, Luuuuuuuuuuuke, Luooooooooooooooke,” you spoke. You were trying to wake him up quietly but you were starting to realize that wasn’t going to work.
Luckily Reggie was awake. “Oh he’s a heavy sleeper, that’s not gonna work.”
Reggie basically got himself so he was dangling off both sides of his chair before yelling in his ear.
Luke awakened with a jolt, looking fairly startled.
You weren’t entirely sure whether you should laugh, throw Reggie under the bus, or maybe both.
“What happened?” Luke asked.
“I woke you up,” Reggie answered innocently.
“By yelling in my ear?” Luke groggily questioned.
Reggie quickly tried to backpedal himself out of this situation. “I mean I don’t think the method is relevant, the important thing is that you’re up.”
Luke wasn’t awake enough to deal with the situation at hand. He just chose to lay his head back on your shoulder.
By the time you had made it to the hotel you were ready to collapse. Luke laughed when you flung yourself onto one the beds.
“Should I be worried?” he asked, mostly as a joke.
“No,” you smiled and rubbed your face, “I’m just really tired.”
“You couldn’t sleep on the bus?” he guessed.
“Yeah,” you groaned.
“You know what would help?” he asked.
“Do tell,” you inquired, from your face down position.
“This,” he said, before he jumped on the bed beside you. He curled his warm body around you and pulled you in.
“Better?” he asked.
“Yes,” you responded. You attempted to melt further into him. You laid there in a comfortable silence for a couple of minutes.
“Luke we should probably go do things,” you suggested. You attempted to get up but he pulled you back down.
You stayed with him but you turned around so you were facing him. “Luke?”
“Yes, y/n?”
You bit your lip, you had to admit, it was pretty cute. “Are you going to let me get up?” you asked.
He looked into your eyes lovingly. “Well if you’re trying to leave then no.”
“So that would be a no.”
“Well if you look at it that way then yeah,” he admitted with a mischievous smile on his face.
“Luke come o-” the rest of your sentence didn’t quite make it out. Your smart boyfriend decided to use your weak spot on your back against you.
“You wanna go now?” he teased.
“Not necessarily,” you lazily responded.
You could feel your willpower fading as the light stokes up and down your back sent a calm wave of chills through your body. But you knew if you didn’t use your chance now there was a good chance you weren’t getting out of that bed today.
“Luke come on we gotta go,” you whined. It’s not like you weren’t enjoying yourself, you most definitely were, but your friends had to be wondering where the two of you were.
“Alright, alright, fine,” he gave in.
“Can I have a kiss though?” he sweetly pleaded.
You gladly agreed, but you realized his plan of not leaving the room hadn’t quite ended when the kiss started leading down to your jaw.
“Luke you’re not sly,” you laughed.
“Oh is that so?” he asked, as he moved down to your jawline.
You nodded your head.
“Then why aren’t you moving?” he purred.
Okay, so he maybe had a point.
“You can tell me to stop,” he reminded you. He looked into your eyes for any sign of you wanting him to stop and waited.
“Unless of course, you don’t want me to stop?” he asked, with the biggest smirk you had ever seen on his face.
“Not necessarily,” you said, completely avoiding his eye contact.
He crawled over top of you, “What was that princess?” he asked.
You forced yourself to look into those beautiful blue eyes, and that devilish smile. “No, I don’t want you to stop Luke.”
“That’s what I needed to hear.” He bent his head down at your jawline, this time starting on the side of your jaw bone. He sucked at the skin and you bit your cheek down on a moan. He moved down from your neck pressing harder and making it harder for you to control yourself.
“Luke,” you moaned.
“Yes?”
“No marks.”
He smirked. “It’s a little late for that one.”
You rolled your eyes at his antics. “You suck.”
“I don’t think you're exactly in the position to be saying those sort of things,” he warned.
You raised your eyebrows. As if he thought you would back down that easily. “Really?”
He licked his lips and shrugged.
“Make me,” you insisted.
“Bad choice of words,” he threatened. In a second his shirt was off and one of his arms held your’s down and above you.
This time he noticed when you swallowed. “Nervous?” he asked, his lips quirked up.
He might’ve been starting to get to you, but you weren’t going to admit to it. “You wish Patterson,” you tested.
His head dipped down towards your collarbone. He lightly sucked on it and gradually increased his intensity until your body unwillingly gave you away and you gutturally moaned.
He jutted his chin out, the fire in his eyes on stage was nothing in comparison to this. “What about now?”
“Yes, Luke,” you groaned out.
He somehow managed to pull your shirt off with you laying down, and managed to unhook your bra with minimal difficulties.
His mouth softly sucked on the very top of your nipple.
“Fuck,” you moaned.
As he continued sucking at a rapid rate you felt the knot in your stomach twisting further, just as you thought it was going to release Luke stopped.
“How much do you want it?” he asked as he slowly pulled your pants down.
You were not going to give him the satisfaction of begging.
You felt a finger glide across your clit ever so slightly and back and forth he kept going, ever so slowly.
A whimper escaped your lips.
“Beg for me, that’s all you have to do,” he promised. He was most definitely enjoying himself.
He moved back up to your nipples but instead he moved as slow as he could, he was trying to break you.
“Come on princess, you know you want it,” he taunted.
A sole finger swiped down your pussy and your breath hitched.
“Luke please,” you moaned.
“What please? I think it has something to do with fucking you silly,” he hinted. He once again crawled over top of you to be able to see your face. Like a predator stalking prey.
“Please rail the shit out of me Luke,” you whined.
“That was all you had to say princess.”

JEALOUS | Luke Patterson
Requested by anon: “5 times Luke gets jealous and one time he doesn’t have too. Luke x reader?”
PAIRING(s): Mercer!fem reader x Luke Patterson WARNING(s): angst, fluff WORDS: 2.3k SUMMARY: Five times Luke Patterson gets jealous and one time he doesn’t have to.
A/N: hi! sorry this took so long, lol. school sucks. :/ i promise im gonna be posting more frequently from now onwards! anyway, decided to make y/n alex’ sister, bc i’ve been wanting to try it for a while. hope u like it!! <3 also, song used is carry me by kygo ft. julia michaels.
Tumblr media
1.
The first time that Luke Patterson feels that scorching, smoldering rage in the pit of his stomach is when he notices Y/N Mercer stare at his bandmate, Bobby Wilson, for the entirety of their hour-long Literature class.
At first, he doesn’t understand why he feels this way: Y/N’s just as much Bobby’s friend as she is his. Well, not really – Luke likes to believe that he is the one that she is closest to in the band, other than her brother, Alex, of course. Sure, Bobby and Y/N are friends – they say ‘hi’ when they pass by each other in the hallway, she helps him out with his Physics homework when he asks, and he asks her how her day’s been – that sort of friends. They’ve never really interacted more than it was required, and Luke knows that if Bobby wasn’t a part of their band, Sunset Curve, or if Y/N wasn’t their drummer’s sister, those two wouldn’t be friends.
Anyway, he thinks that maybe it’s because they are supposed to be partners, working on their assignment together – and instead, she is choosing to abandon him and stare at one of his best mates, instead. He thinks that maybe he’s mad because she promised him that she would help him out with this assignment, which is particularly hard, and now, it feels like he’s ditching her.
Instead of thinking about why he is so bothered at the fact that Y/N is staring at Bobby, Luke chooses to elbow her instead.
“What?” She whispers, a blush covering her cheeks.
“Can you focus?” He snaps as she rolls her eyes and opens their textbook.
“You’re annoying.”
2.
“Alex, Alex, Alex!”
“Luke, I’m sitting right beside you – you don’t need to yell.”
“There’s something that you should know.” Luke whispers, conspiratorially. Alex, who’s sitting beside him on the couch in the garage where they rehearse, leans forward, intrigued. “What?”
He points at Y/N, who’s sitting in front of Reggie in the opposite side of the room, strumming a guitar – Reggie’s teaching her how to play. Unlike her twin brother, she’s not naturally gifted in music, which is pretty evident from her occasional frustrated huffs, and the obviously off-key tune. Rather, science is her talent, and has always been. The top spot in their class has been permanently occupied by her ever since their first exam as freshmen.
“She!” Luke whispers. Alex furrows his brows. “Yes, I know that she has no musical talent whatsoever –”
“No, no, no. I mean, yes, she doesn’t have that – but you wanna know what she does?”
“I have a feeling that you’re gonna tell me even if I don’t wanna know.” Alex mutters.
“She has a crush on Bobby!” Luke scrunches his face, a disgusted look taking over.
The drummer raises his brows and bursts out laughing. “Really, dude?”
“No, no, no, I’m not lying, okay! I’ve seen her stare at him!”
He raises his brows. “So? She stares at a lot of people.”
“It wasn’t that way, okay? Last week, in class, she was ignoring me and staring at him. Plus, yesterday, when you were god knows where, she and Bobby were having a conversation. An actual conversation! I’ve never seen them talk that much. They were nerding out over Star Wars!”
“Dude, are you…” Alex pauses, looking around, “… jealous?” A smile spreads over his features.
Luke’s eyes widen, and he looks horrified. “What? Me? Jealous? Huh? Me? How?”
Inside, he is panicking. He hadn’t considered this possibility. Is he jealous? No, that can’t be. Y/N – he’s known her forever, and he is supposed to think of her as his sister. He does think so. He’s sure. He can’t – he doesn’t like her. She’s just… Y/N. Sure, he’s always thought that she’s beautiful. And smart. And so, so kind. He’s always admired her. OK, he might have had a little crush on her. But, in a totally harmless, admiring way! (In the way everyone seems to like Winona Ryder these days. Nothing more than that. Absolutely.)
She’s just Y/N.
Y/N, who’s always there for him after he has a bad day. Y/N, who’s the first person he hugs after playing an intense show. Y/N, who’s the only person who can understand his silence. Y/N, who makes sure that he knows that she appreciates him. Y/N, who he knows like the back of his hand.
Before Luke can panic any further, Bobby enters the garage, and Luke notices her attention immediately shift toward him. They exchange a smile, and Luke feels that rage, yet again.
He falls back on the couch, locking eyes with Alex, who is silently watching with a soft smile on his face.
“I’m not jealous.” He says weakly, and Alex nods – but he knows that it doesn’t convince either of them. His friend lays a hand on his shoulder, whispering, “It’s okay.”
3.
By the time the next month rolls around, Luke is positive that he’s jealous: so, he’s resorted to not thinking about it, her or even interacting with her – which is hard considering that she’s always around.
Now, he feels like shit. For their junior year, they are supposed to do a report on a Victorian era novel of their choice, with a partner. He and Y/N were supposed to partners – they had decided months ago and have also done previous assignments together. But now, since he hasn’t even dared to look at her in a month, she’s now doing the report with Bobby, of all people.
As he watches Bobby and Y/N sit next to each other with their arms brushing, he feels that rage again, and curses himself. Could he not have behaved like a normal person? He knows that she is confused as to why he’s suddenly ignoring and avoiding her – she has even asked her brother about it. But Luke had threatened Alex that he would tell everyone about his crush on Reggie if he even said a single syllable.
(Although Luke knows that he would never.)
He sighs, dramatically, and searches for someone else to pair up with, ignoring the way his heart clenches at the realization that he may be losing her.
4.
“Luke?”
He looks up and feels a rush in his veins.
“Are you… mad at me?” Y/N asks tentatively, standing at the door to his bedroom. Her eyes keep flitting between his face and around his bedroom, and he hates the fact that there seems to be an ocean between them.
“Uh…” He scratches the back of his neck, not knowing what to respond. She looks down at her feet, biting her lip and Luke feels a tug on his heartstrings at that. It’s been so, so long and he has so, so much to tell her, but he doesn’t know how to bridge the gap that he created.
He builds up his courage and says, “Yeah. I was kinda mad at you.”
Her eyebrows furrow, and panic flows into her e/c eyes. “What – what’d I do?”
Luke inhales sharply and wonders what he’s gonna say. It’s not like he can say that he was jealous of the fact that she liked Bobby, nor could he say that in the past month he has realized the fact that he may have a tiny, little crush on her and had to avoid her at all costs because she will never like him back and it’s too embarrassing?
He clears his throat. “Uh. It’s because you promised that you would do the English project with me but you’re doing it with Bobby.”
“But I’m only doing it with him because you won’t even look at me! Why won’t you?”
“I… You also ignored me for Bobby the other day?”
She throws her hands up. “What other day?”
“When we were working on the Shakespeare thingy!”
“I was not – now you’re making –”
“Forget it. Just go home, Y/N.”
A look of hurt flashes over her eyes, but she quickly clenches her jaw, and stands straighter, masking her emotions. “Asshole.”
She walks out his door, slamming the door shut behind her.
For the rest of the day, Luke lies on his bed and stares at his ceiling, and when Reggie comes over, he tells him that he’s ruined everything. Reggie lies beside him and asks softly, “You okay?”
“I think I like Y/N.” He whispers.
“We know.”
His lips part and he says in disbelief, “Alex told you?!”
Reggie shrugs. “He didn’t need to. Everyone can see the way that you look at her.”
Luke sighs, too tired to argue.
“Hey. It’s just a date, alright? It’s not like they’re getting married.”
Luke props himself on his elbow. “What?”
“Y’know, Y/N’s really picky –”
“What date?”
Reggie’s eyes widen. “Y-You didn’t know?”
Luke raises his brows, urging his friend to continue. He purses his lips and says, “Y/N and Bobby are on a date right now.”
Instantly, Luke feels as if his world has drained of every colour. Reggie looks uncomfortable, and whispers, “I thought you knew.”
“I, uh, I didn’t. Obviously.” He whispers, falling back on the bed again. His heart physically hurts, and he can feel tears prick at the back of his eyes. Mostly, he feels anger – at himself, and regret.
As jealousy claws its way to the surface, Luke mutters, “I hate Bobby.”
5.
Luke sits cross legged on the floor of the garage, with a Spanish guitar perched on his lap. His hands dance over the strings, trying to find the perfect melody for the song he just wrote.
Writing songs has always been his way of dealing with his emotions, especially when they got too intense. Right now, the situation with Y/N is exactly that.
His eyes dance over the notebook in front of him, and he closes his eyes, trying to forget everything that’s happened in the past couple of days.
“Cause I don't know how we How we got so far, you and me Almost like there's oceans between us, us So I need to know Could you carry me? Back into your heart again Could you carry me? Right into your distant hands Could you carry me? Right back to where we started from Could you carry me?”
“That’s beautiful.”
Luke’s head turns sharply to the side, and of course, it’s her. He clenches his jaws, and says, “What are you doing here?” He hates the fact that she looks so pretty, wearing a beautiful red sundress.
She bites her lower lip, and says, “We should talk, Luke.”
“There’s nothing to talk about.”
She giggles. “You’ve always been the jealous type.”
He raises his brows, opening his mouth to deny whatever she was about to say next, but she raises a hand to stop him. “Alex and Reg told me. They said that they’re tired of seeing you mope every day.”
“I –”
“Hold on. So, for the past month, you’ve been mad at me because you thought I like Bobby?”
Luke lowers his head, choosing to stare at his open palm instead.
“You ignored one of your best friends for more than a month because you were jealous, and you were too much of an idiot to tell her the truth?”
“Well, you don’t gotta be so mean about it.”
She laughs. “Luke. Bobby and I – we’re just friends, okay? I was staring at him because I really liked his hair. And you have to admit it – it’s nice. I actually asked him for his shampoo, too. But, well, you and him both thought that I liked him. That’s why he asked me out to the movies last day. But... uh, well, it didn’t work out.”
His heart races at the last sentence. “Why?”
“Because I like you, Luke. I always have. I thought I could like Bobby, I really did – but all I could think about last night was you.” She shrugs, and Luke feels like he’s falling. He thinks that the universe is playing a prank on him, but when he sees her crimson tinged face, the vulnerability in her eyes and her fiddling with her hands, he allows himself to feel the slightest amount of hope.
She looks down, continuing, “I, uh, I always thought that you only saw me as your best friend’s little sister. I didn’t ever think that, you know, that there could be something more. So, I kept it to myself and only Alex knew. But, last night, Reg came over and they were screaming for a while, about you and me, so I went to find out what happened, and they told me that you, uh, liked me too.”
Reggie. He must have told Alex that Luke was ugly crying on his shoulder.
“Please say something, Luke.”
He releases the breath he didn’t know he was holding. “I – I feel like you’re pranking me.”
She grins. “No. No, definitely not.”
“Y/N, god, you have no idea how difficult this past month has been for me. I mean, I never realized that I liked you that much until I saw you with him, you know? I always thought that I had a tiny, little crush on you but I never… and I thought that Alex would kill me if I did anything, but he’s been oddly… nice about all this.”
“He’s just tired of hearing me talk about you.”
“Probably. But yeah. I think you’re brilliant, Mercer. And I really, really, really like you.”
She jumps a little, and whispers, “I really, really, really like you too.”
“Do you maybe wanna go to the movies with me?” His wide grin matches hers.
“Only if we watch part two of Father of The Bride.”
“Deal.”
+1.
Luke watches Bobby smile at Y/N, looking at her as if she’s put the moon in the sky. Although, this time, he doesn’t feel the rage. He doesn’t need to, really, with Y/N’s hand wrapped in his, and the ghost of her lips still lingering on his.

Snow Angels - Reggie Peters x Fem!Reader
Summary: The first snowfall of December and Reggie’s eager to make the most of it.
Word Count: 668
A/n: This was wrote in about 20 minutes so I apologise if it sucks.
Tumblr media
It had been less than five minutes since she’d arrived at Reggie’s place, not even long enough to warm up from having been out in the chill before Reggie had seen the white flakes beginning to fall and had pleaded about going out in it until she caved. It wasn’t often that they got snow so she didn’t blame Reggie’s enthusiasm but she preferred to sit in the warmth with a mug of hot cocoa watching it fall than chilled to the bone with the possibility of being pelted with snowballs.
Reggie on the other hand was like a child who was seeing snow for the first time, filled with so much wonder and joy at the cold white flakes that it was impossible to deny him. His face adorably flushed with the cold as the snow settled on his lashes making him look ridiculously cute, well more so than usual.
Tugging the beanie hat down over his ears, he flashed her a toothy grin before racing out the door into the more heavily falling snow. With a roll of her eyes she followed him out only to narrowly miss slipping on the steps outside the door but Reggie for all his eagerness to get out into the thick of the snow is quick to turn and catch her before she hits the floor.
“Well I guess you could say you’ve fallen for me” he says with a cheeky smile followed by a wink. She lets out a groan at his words, though the smile is evident on her face as she pushes at his chest in a silent hint for him to let her go, not that she doesn’t miss his warmth when he does.
She waits for the initial over-excitedness to settle within him, watching as he spins in a circle with his arms spread wide and head tilted back to feel the snow falling on his face. When he finally stops spinning she pulls out her phone, sneakily taking a photo of him with his head thrown back and tongue sticking out to catch the freshly fallen snow, knowing that he'll be clueless about it until he saw her lockscreen in a few weeks time maybe.
Pocketing her phone, she shivers from the cold just as he turns back to her with his eyes shining brightly and cheeks glowing red from the bitter cold. “I have one request before we go back inside” he says, waiting for her to nod before he carries on, “Snow angels?” he asks hopefully.
Reluctantly she agrees, letting him take her hand and lead her to where the snow seems to be the deepest before he lets go, sinking down into the snow and wincing at the cold. Looking up at her with big round pleading eyes, she gives in and follows his previous movements, leaving space between them so that their forms do not overlap.
“Ready?” he questions, preparing himself to lay back fully in the snow.
“As I’ll ever be” she jokes, laughing as he begins to count down from three and they lay down on the count of one. Hissing at the cold as she follows his lead and begins to move her arms and legs, “You owe me cuddles” she calls, turning her head to the side so that she can see him and finding him with a large smile on his face.
“As if you had to ask, you should just expect them” he laughs, his arms and legs still flailing around for a few more seconds before he heaves a sigh, his breath coming out in a white cloud and she swears she sees a shiver as if he’s just now starting to feel the cold. “You think they’re done” he asks and she nods, now starting to feel her teeth chattering, “good because I’m cold” he adds.
“Inside?” she suggests, already sitting up.
“Inside” he agrees as they climb up out of the snow and head back towards the warmth of his home.

Requested by anon: “Can you do a Reggie Peters x gender neutral reader with prompt 103?”
Warnings: yelling, verbal fighting (I don’t know if it’s necessary to tag that, but just to be sure)
Pairing: Reggie Peters x Patterson!reader
WC: 1.4k
Summary: Your brother, Luke, and your mom are fighting once again, so you go over to your boyfriend’s house. When Luke goes to pick up his friend for band practice the next morning he doesn’t expect you to be there as well.
Tumblr media
It was never supposed to be a secret. When you had first started going out with Reggie, you didn’t tell anyone because you didn’t want your brother or the other band members to get involved. You wanted to see if it would work out without their intervention. And now it’s been two months and you were ready to reveal it to them but could never find the right moment. At this point you weren’t looking forward to telling your brother. You usually didn’t keep secrets from each other and you didn’t want to hurt him. He fought with your mother more and more, so you didn’t want to add on to that.
You were lying on your bed when it started again, the yelling. The raised voices were slightly muffled by the walls, but you could still make out all the words. Once again it was because of the band, because of his dream. Your mother didn’t understand and didn’t seem to believe in it. It was always the same. They would talk first, then they would yell at each other until one of them would run out but you weren’t about to wait and listen for that to happen. You got up from your bed, grabbed a pair of shoes and opened your window. It was no problem to climb out of it with your bedroom being on the first floor.
The night was lit by the full moon and the stars twinkling in the cloudless sky. Nobody was out at this time apart from the occasional car that passed you on your way to Reggie’s house. It was quiet, eerily so after the screaming match between Luke and your mother. When you got there the house was shrouded in darkness. The crashing of the waves in the background and the smell of the sea already calmed you. You walked around the house hoping to see Reggie’s room still illuminated. When you saw the lit-up square of his bedroom window you smiled. You picked up some small rocks that were lying around and threw one up. You missed. The stone hit the wall next to his window and fell back down to the ground making a barely audible sound. The next one didn’t miss its target, clanking against the window. You waited and dropped the other stones when his face appeared in the window. His eyes searched the garden for a moment before they landed on you. You lifted your hand to give him a little wave.
He opened his window and leaned out of it. “What are you doing here?”, he whisper-shouted, happy to see you even though it was the middle of the night.
“Mom and Luke fought again. Can I come in?” He nodded and told you to come to the front door again.
You didn’t have to wait on the front porch for long before the door opened and Reggie invited you into the house. “My parents are already asleep,” he told you in a hushed voice before he gestured for you to go ahead to his room. You let yourself fall onto his bed letting out a deep sigh. Reggie watched you from his spot in the doorway, equal parts amused at your display and worried about the reason why you were at his house. He followed after you, closing the door after him, and lay down next to you on the bed.
“Do you want to talk about it?” he asked.
“Not really.” You looked over at him. “Can I sleep here tonight though?”
“Of course.” He got up with a groan and walked over to his closet. After some shifting through his clothes he threw a shirt and shorts at you to change into.
You got changed before crawling under the covers next to Reggie. You were lying on your back staring up at the dark ceiling. “Thank you, Reggie,” you broke the silence that had filled the room.
“What for?”, he asked.
“Well, for letting me sleep here, first of all.” You shifted to lie on your side, looking at Reggie now. “And for being with me. You make me happy,” you admitted, placing your hand on his which was resting on his chest. Unbeknownst to you, because of the darkness of the room, his cheeks flushed and he tried hard to suppress the wide grin that was threatening to show on his face.
“You make me happy too.” He lifted his body to hover over your reclined form and kissed you. It was a sweet kiss, your lips moving against each other. You smiled at him when he moved back and pulled you into his side. You rested your head on his chest and fell asleep to the beating of his heart.
The next morning you were harshly woken up by the door being thrown open. The sound of it meeting the wall had you sitting up staring at the person standing in the doorway. Luke’s breath was heavy. He was in the middle of a rant about Reggie missing band practice when his eyes fell on you. The words left him as he took in your appearance, clad in Reggie’s shirt. “It isn’t what it looks like!” He tried to save the situation, but was at a loss of how he could explain it instead. “Okay… Maybe it is…” he finally resigned after Luke urged him to keep going.
“Let’s talk,” you said getting out of the bed and pulling your brother out of the room with you, so that Reggie could collect his thoughts and get dressed. You walked down the stairs, past Reggie’s parents who you wished a good morning, and out to the front porch where you finally let go of Luke’s arm. “So, Reggie and I are dating, but I guess you gathered that.”
“I did. But how? And how long is that going on?”
“Well, we got along well the times he was over to meet you, so we went on a date and now here we are, I guess. That was, like, two months ago.” You shrugged, but smiled thinking back to your first date.
“And why didn’t you tell me? I mean, he is my friend. I wouldn’t have had anything against it.”
“Yeah, well, I don’t need your approval on whoever I’m seeing, but I didn’t tell you because we thought it would be best to start out without you guys knowing and maybe interfering or anything, I don’t know. And then it had been going on for a month and we realized that we really liked each other and it wouldn’t change if you knew but I never found the right moment to tell you. You were always either busy with the band or fighting with mom, so I just kept not telling you. But now you know. Even though I would’ve preferred you finding out a different way.”
“Look, I’m sorry. You seem to get caught up in the middle of it whenever mom and I fight and I’m so, so sorry that happens.” He pulls you into his side, the two of you looking out at the ocean and the few people already going about their day. “And you and Reggie, that’s great, but, please, keep your hands to yourselves when I’m around.” He joked. You fought your way out of his embrace to hit his shoulder but laughed all the while. “Now, go tell your boyfriend he needs to get ready for band practice. If he’s any later, I won’t be the only one coming after his ass.”
“Right. He’ll be there soon. Bye, Luke.” You left him standing there and made your way back into the house and up the stairs.
“How’d it go?”, asked Reggie as soon as you stepped into his room.
“It was fine. You need to go to practice though or Luke – and I quote – ‘won’t be the only one coming after your ass’.” It brought a smile to Reggie’s face. He was already dressed and basically ready to go, but he waited until you changed into your pants from yesterday and another one of his shirts.
“Are you coming to practice with me?” He wanted to know.
You shook your head. “No, I should go home and tell my mom I wasn’t kidnapped or anything. But I’ll see after, ok?” He nodded in approval. Before you parted ways, you pulled him into one last kiss, whispering your goodbye against his lips.
