Hey, there!

Not sure if these all count as headcanon exactly, but I love to imagine them as:

1. James naturally being a very 'touchy feely' and flirty person

Like if he likes someone well enough he'll rest his arms on their shoulder, envelop them in a bear hug for no reason, punch them playfully on their shoulder, rest his head on their lap when he's going to lie down

The more he comes to realise Snape is actually a truly decent guy (albeit a rudeass and a weirdo) the more he does this, only further encouraged by the fact that this seems to irritate him to no end

Blowing him kisses, wrapping his arms around him from behind while resting his chin on his shoulder, pinching his cheeks, cupping his face, sitting next to him shoulder to shoulder and knee to knee, even more so than with anybody else

Until he realises he's forming a crush and pulls back immediately to stop it from escalating

But by then Severus is already used to it, confused and strangly cold without James’s furnace body obnoxiously plastering itself all over him

2. Snape having no regard for personal space

While he's annoyed with James’s little shows of affection at first it's more to do with James being James than hating human contact

He does this thing where he will get all up in James's face, to where it almost looks intimate

If he's angry enough he'll grab James by his collar and whisper bloody murder in his ear

This is incidentally James’s bisexual awakening

Severus's speaking in a low, deep voice, his breath beating against his ear and neck, his fist against his chest, his words that can be taken one way or another

I'll just drop this here little gem real quick: x

4. James being a whole Aries

Since we don't actually know all that much about James as a character from canon alone, I love to think of him as your 'typical' Aries. Especially cause he fits the bill so perfectly so far

5. James having to catch himself anytime Severus says something particularly hilarious out of nowhere

6. Severus blown away by James’s ingenuity and intelligence each time cause he acts like a complete imbecile most of the time

7. James getting inexplicably peeved when anyone outside of his posse calls Snape 'Snivellus' or messes with him

8. Snape is autistic and James is a hyperactive mess

James talks with his hands, feet, face, words

He talks stupid fast, with his mouth full, while moving around, he'll draw the thing out on whatever piece of paper or blackboard he can find

It's a sensory overload

Snape looking slightly to the left of James when he talks to understand wth he's even talking about

9. James coming up with the plans and Severus pulling them through to the end

10. Severus being James's impuls control and the one to clean up his inevitable mess

11. James teaching Snape to let loose and not take every rule too seriously

12. James doing little things to take care of him like

Putting more food on his plate

Putting a bottle of water in front of him to make sure he hydrates

Bringing over/making him coffee like an unspoken morning ritual

Covering him in his sleep so he won't be cold

Bringing over groceries every time he visits

Leaving his stuff at Snape's place like shampoo and pillows

"Keep it, I can just use it next time"

And he does so Snape can't argue

13. James going way out of his way for the people he loves without thinking of holding it over them

14. Snape slowly warming up when he notices this

15. And going back to wanting to strangle him when James proceeds to do shit like

Calling him every variation of 'Prince' after learning about his other surname from nosing into his Potions book

Dramatically throwing his jacket over a shallow puddle like the chivalrous knight he is

After enjoying Javerus fic I definitely can't help but changed the Canon past of Harry's parents life but without changing Canon Present/Future much either.

Like Example:

1 AU where Canon cruel past bullying did happen. But when Severus said "Mudblood" to Lily, later James angrily confront Sev saying "I thought you would be different from any Slytherin, but i was wrong." And something like "I should have never fall in Love with someone like you!". And Severus screaming "love? LOVE?! WHAT LOVE?! WHAT KIND OF SICK PATHETIC PRANK ARE YOU TRYING TO PULL NOW, POTTER?!" and there's lots of shaking and clothes pulling and scream "Yeah, Bullying clearly show how much you LOVE me, Potter!"

And since I don't know which year they were when the Humiliation and the Mudblood words was thrown, by the end of their 6th year before ride the train Severus quickly pull James close to him and said "If you really did Love me before Potter, tell Lily that I was sorry. I do not ask for her forgiveness. I would never ask her to forgive me, but I want her to know that I'm really sorry and I never mean to say that. She would always be dear to me and I would never hurt her anymore than that. Even when I'm with the Dark side." James eyes widened. "Congratulation, Potter. You and your friends gets what you want. Next year I and all Slytherin 7th year is the follower of You-know-who. You and all your friends better stay away. They won't try to be 'Nice' anymore." (By 'They' and not 'We/Us' because Severus intend to stay away from hurting people at school as long as they Don't hurt him anymore.)

In this AU Severitus won't happen, so Very Canon aka Severus still die. But Harry would get mind blowing knowledge from Severus' memories where both his parents had Love Severus Snape before! Yes, Lily Love Severus. Harry found out from old diary that Dudley found. Severus though only love Lily Platonically but very very Dearly.

2nd AU where the Bullying is not Harmful and Humilliating like Canon. More like Pranks, but too often and gets Severus super annoyed. Yes, James and Lily is in Love with Severus. So the "Mudblood" scene never happen. Things bad happen and injuring Severus badly. And James and Lily were framed for those event. Severus doesn't know who to believe anymore. But deep down he still like to believe that it was not Lily and James' fault. Severus distance himself from them. James and his friends stop prank him because those painful event. James and Lily married each other because they're bonding for having feelings toward Severus and hard to move on, and since they end up like each other very much too (Love but Not In Love) they decided to stay together.

If James and Lily still died, Severitus happen. And Teen Harry would get to know what his parents like from Sirius complaining about "What kind of Married Couple who Love each other but outrightly said they Love another person soooo much and would like to marry them and have kids with them in front of their Spouse?!". Sirius keep saying how James and Lily never stop being in Love with Severus even after knowing he was Death Eater. And yes Severus chose to run rather than attack them when they accidentally met, still! And Severus was denying the fact that James and Lily have feelings for him. But Sirius was like "Oh believe me i have ALL the memories of James and Lily keep mentioning you and their Love for you in front of baby Harry. Debating who would you chose to be with if you were never injured. They even consider Polyamory for Harry's sake! Like as if there's no Harry they would just divorce and try to fight each other to get you!!! What kind of Married Couple they were!!?".

IF James and Lily alive though, either Polyamory did happen or they did get divorced and James end up with Severus while Lily already move on. (Because like I said, I enjoy Javerus too much now)

18+ fics 4fear is porn lol let's not lie but I usually skip through shit like that anyway but I still enjoyed the general vibe of how they were both written (even tho the majority is sex scenes and I'm not really down for reading explicits I think it was a great story and I skipped mostly all if not more then half of each scene incase you're like me). Soft prongs 17ish+ sex is talked on and written but it's more general and has dialogoues to it. 100/100 reads and I really wanted to highlight em.

Okay, but imagine Harry Potter Omegaverse where Severus is Omega, James is Alpha, and Lily is Beta.

- James love Severus so Pigtail Pulling him. Nothing Humiliating like canon did, but Severus hated his pranks. Though sometimes they do share some close fluffy moments.

- Severus only love Lily platonically. But Lily love Severus romantically.

- Severus is Oblivious with both James and Lily's feelings toward him.

- Something bad happened near the end of their 6th year caused by Peter (and others) who already secretly work with the Death Eater.
