(this is sort of silly & i feel like a lot of people talked about this but i really wanna share my thoughts on it too)
i really like how their curse techniques are quite literally the opposite of each other. but somehow, some way, when they fight together it just resonates.
suguru’s curse technique : has to involve swallowing, absorbing, getting close with the curse, literally eating it.
meanwhile :
satoru’s curse technique : literally untouchable to ANY curse, object, person, being, et cetera.
—
yet somehow, some way, it resonates with each other.
A warm smile shines brightly against Suguru’s unusually soft face. He doesn’t know why or what took over in those exact moments, but all he knew was that he began leaning forward to capture Satoru’s lips in a soft yet surprisingly gentle kiss. Simple intimate moments like these are what he craved at most times, but pride and self isolation caused him to deny any sort of affection Satoru often gave.
Then in that moment, He ushered words from his lips that he had not once spoken before, not even when they had started their relationship. “I love you.”
Satoru returns the kiss gently, allowing himself this brief moment of tender connection. He can feel the trust and care behind Suguru's words - a rare intimacy that remains profound despite their outward egos. "Yeah.. you too." His normally slick voice comes out hushed, for Suguru's ears alone. They both know such open expressions of emotion don't come easily to either. But in the quiet dark of night, sheltered in each other's arms, their facades matter little. Here is a place of refuge where their true selves can surface without judgment.
Satoru nuzzles his face into the crook of Suguru's neck, breathing in his scent as strong arms wrap protectively around the one he loves. No further words are needed - their hearts understand each other without speaking. In the privacy of night, hidden vulnerabilities can be soothed. Tomorrow the sun will rise, bringing new struggles, but for now, joined souls find solace in shared rest. The dawn will come soon enough.
The opening song for the Shibuya arc came out and what I liked the most was this cover. Guys, watch your eyes, because there are a lot of references here.
Some I found were:
- Satoru Cube;
- Sukuna's fingers;
- Mahito Domain Expansion;
- Malevolent Shrine;
- Inumaki's megaphone;
- Jogo;
- Dagon;
- Maki's spear;
- Nanamim's knife;
- Nobara nails;
- Mei Mei's Axe;
- Hanami;
- The transmuted people;
- Mei Mei's crows;
- Megumi's shikigami (Mahoraga's wheel, the rabbit's escape, the frog and I think Nue too);
