"People not writing about Duke has nothing to do with racism, comics are hard to get into and-"
Duke Thomas is the youngest member of the Bat Cauldron in terms of publication history, and one of the few storylines you need to understand his character (We Are Robin) has been collected into only two volumes. Everything else can (at least) be gleaned from a wikipedia page. Due to his short publication time, he is also (arguably) the most consistent written member making a grasp of his personality and motivations easier to get.
In comparison, the other members have more decades of stories, most not as easily accessible through monetary means, yet people have no problem talking/writing about them and their comics despite the different writers they go through and the different changes in their personality.

So those wondering why some are kind of ticked in regards to Cass in regards to Batman #143 Here's a bit more context...
So in the last issue it was revealed the Joker unleashed a virus that turned all of Gotham into Jokers. This issue we found out Selina had captured "most" of the Bat Family (save Duke because due to the virus he's doing some making Gotham eternally night with his powers, unknown what happened to Jason and Steph).
Anyhoot Cass was part of the Family Jokerized:
What has ticked everyone off on Chip Zdarsky's Batman run is that Cass has done nothing but job.
She jobbed to Failsafe.
And Bruce...
Not only that, but Chip basically ignored her being adopted (you know the routine. Bruce only has "sons" aka Dick, Jason, Tim, and Damian. No girls).
The only real "plot" progression he gave was both her and Duke being the only two members who actually escaped Failsafe when the machine took over Gotham. AND... it was never brought up if they saved the Bat Family (along with the heroes it had locked up with them) after Failsafe was defeated or not.
Also the whole "flashforward" could be Bruce stuck in a computer simulation (as there are hints of this issue or the art is just messed Frankstein's monster of traced A.I.).
Though, this is the first time he's referenced Cass fully. I have no idea where Jason, Steph, and Duke are.
Regardless, this current Batman run treated Cass's character like she's cardboard with paper-thin characterization. Hence why I've been poking fun at it with "Card Cain".
Anyhoot, go read Ram V's current Detective Comics run. That's where the TRUE good shit with multilayered characterizations of various characters is happening and oh yes Cass is there too.

Seriously, the last page of the latest issue of Detective Comics, where we learn which two players Selina is gonna bring in to save Bruce… oh man oh man it’s all coming together.

I want more lame comics and comic characters.
Every comic character should be at least 75% lamer and he’s the proof.
[Image ID: An old comic frame of The Riddler, in a green question mark suit, holding a ‘puzzle’ shaped like the united states, there are two rockets with smoke coming out of them attached to it. Across from him are Batman and Robin. The Riddler is saying “Riddle me this, dynamic duo! What state are you going to be in when my Name-The-State Puzzle hits you?” Robin replies: “If you mean the state of shock-“ Batman continues: “ You’ll be in a state of collapse when we get through with you, Riddler!” /end ID]
