A light lunch or dinner option for when you feel like something small to eat. . 1 large zucchini 125g beef mince 100g passata Garlic Chilli Salt Pepper @niulife original cocominos 20g grated Parmesan cheese . . Cut the zucchini in half length ways and place in a roasting pan, roast for 25 minutes at 180 or until softened. . Brown beef in a pan and add spices, herbs, cocominos and passata till cooked well. . Remove zucchini from the oven and scoop out the flesh, not all of it, just enough to leave room for the beef, place beef in the zucchini, top with grated Parmesan and grill for 5-10 minutes until cheese has melted. Keto Macros & The Keto Calculator
Our easy Keto Macros Calculator provides you the perfect guide on taking your first steps on getting started on ketosis.  Keto macros can be confusing because the correct balance is so counter to everything you know and have been taught.
Keto or the Ketogenic Diet is referred to by many other names, including the Low Carb Diet or the Low Carb High Fat Diet (LCHF).  Sometimes more scientific names are used such as Nutritional Ketosis. All names refer to bringing your body into a state of ketosis, where your body is fed by stored fat via ketones.
There are also variations of the keto diet.  At Easy Day we focus on the Standard Keto Diet (SKD) which generally targets a caloric keto macros intake of 75% fat, 20% protein and 5% carbohydrates.  We feel this is the best starting point for most adults seeking to increase their overall health.
Do not forget that these are percentages of your daily caloric intake.  To lose weight you need to eat a total caloric deficit under your Active Base Metabolic Rate (BMR).
Macro Keto Calculator

Calculating your BMR
Next, we determine key numbers by asking you a few easy questions.  We will never share your answers.
Men and women burn calories at different rates, so we’ll need to know your gender.  Your height, current weight and age are also needed so we can determine your BMR using the Mifflin-St. Jeor formula.
After we determine your BMR we ask your activity level.  In turn, we make an assumption of how many calories you burn daily beyond your BMR to determine an Active BMR number.  If you wear an activity tracker and know this number directly you can manually add your average burn into the calculator.
Body Fat Calculation
Your current body fat is the next information we need.  Knowing your exact body fat is difficult at best, unless you have it measured professionally.  We provide some visual guides for you to make a best guess.  Be cautious not to believe floor scales that give you a reading, as often they read too high.  We use your answer to determine your lean body mass.  This is important as we use your calculated lean body mass to give you a recommendation on how many grams of protein you should eat daily.  Do not despair if you are off, your best guess is fine.
What Are Your Goals
Last is your weight goal.  If you want to maintain or lose weight.  If you want to lose, how many pounds per week are you seeking.  We do not recommend you restrict yourself more than 20% below your Active BMR. Being overly restrictive will make the diet very difficult and increase your chances of leaving it prematurely.
The calculator will then give you a recommended macro nutrient balance in grams and calories for fat, protein and carbohydrates for the perfect keto macros balance for you.  Congratulations, this is the first major building block to putting your keto diet plan into action!

Why Are Keto Macros SO Different!
If what you should eat on the ketosis diet surprises you, rest assured you are not alone.
The USDA recommends a macro diet of roughly 10% fat, 15% protein, 75% carbohydrate. This recommendation is a far different view of nutrition than what the keto diet suggests. At Easy Day, we believe that knowledge is more powerful than will power.  This is why we are giving you access to this new way of thinking and want you to make the best decision you can for yourself.
It is not your fault that some of the information we have shared may cause disbelief.  Some answers we’ve given you seem counter-intuitive because you have been told and taught many contradictory things for most of your life.  It is all very confusing.  We hope to support you on your journey to health and make it as easy for you as possible.
