Levi winced a little as he limped after you. “Darling, don’t go.”
You fixed your little cape and turned to him to show off your big baby bump. “I have to get some stuff for you.”
He sighed. “I know, but…”
You cupped his face and kissed him. “Go in your wheelchair.”
Levi welled up a little. “I haven’t used that in months. I don’t want to go back.”
You wrapped your arms around Levi and hugged him tightly. “I know, but you’ve hurt your knee.”
“I pushed myself too hard when I trained with your dad.”
You led him to his chair and sat him down. “Levi, there is nothing wrong with not feeling strong sometimes. You can’t always be one hundred per cent.”
He held your hand. “I understand, but you need to rest too.”
“The baby and I will be perfectly okay.” You kissed his forehead. “I’ll go buy your meds and some nice baked goods and I’ll be right back.”
He sighed. “Okay. Kiss.”
You giggled and kissed him. “Love you.”
“Love you always, Mrs Ackerman.”
You winked at him. “That’s right.” You grabbed your shopping basket and pulled your hood up. “Love you, Levi and our baby loves you too.”
Levi blew you a kiss. “Be careful.”
You waved to him before leaving the home. The air was nice and cool, but there was a threat of rain. You were hoping that your cape would protect you. Both you and Levi were excited to have a summer baby. The names you picked were perfect for a sweet baby. You were both hoping it was a girl so you could call her Kuchel. Kuchel was a wonderful mother to Levi. She reminded him of a flower, which bloomed the strongest in summer.
You gazed up when you heard a distant rumble. Thunderstorms were nice and relaxing when you were inside your home, but not so much when you were out and about. You were hoping that you could finish shopping before the storm arrived. You picked up the pace and made it to the pharmacy. You smiled at the man behind the counter who recognised you right away.
He hurried to the collection point and grabbed Levi’s medication. “Here you are, Mrs Ackerman. I’ll also get you some stuff for you and the baby, free of charge.”
Your cheeks burned at his kindness. “Oh, thank you so much.”
“Not a problem. Least I could do for the wife of the amazing Captain.”
You placed the meds in your basket as you felt a little awkward. “Thank you. You’re too kind.”
“Take care now, all right? It looks like there is a storm coming.”
You bowed your head to him. “Thank you. I’ll do my best.”
The air was still outside, which concerned you because it meant the storm was getting closer. You hurried to the bakery and picked a few nice things for Levi and you to share. The last stop was to get something for Bo because he deserved a treat. You picked a few things and became distracted by a baby shop. You slipped inside and bought an adorable blanket, along with things that had references to Daddy.
“Unbelievable.”
You turned and gazed at your ex-best friend. “Claude.”
He scrunched his nose up at you. “I cut ties with you because you got involved with that foul man. I went to your home to forgive you, but you weren’t there.” He glared at your swollen belly. “Are you fucking pregnant?”
You turned away from him and went to the till. You paid for everything as he shouted your name. You were done with this man and his insults towards your husband. You were just done and wanted to go home. Plus, your feet were killing you from carrying a baby in your belly. You tried to ignore Claude chasing after you as it started to spit.
Claude grabbed your upper arm. “Would you just talk to me!”
You yanked your arm from his grip. “I have nothing to say to you! You cut ties. You were done. Once you cut, there is no going back. Release me and leave me alone.”
“You married him. Is that his baby too?”
You placed your hand on your belly. “Yes, and this baby is ours.” You let out a long sigh. “I have to get home to my husband before the rain gets worse.”
Claude snarled as you started walking away. “Get back here! Don’t walk away from me!”
You moved a little faster. “Leave me alone! I’m done with you and you’re done with me. There is no use in chasing me down!”
Claude ran after you as he shouted your name over the pouring rain and thunder. “He will lead to your death.”
You stopped and turned in the street. “No. No, he won’t. Levi is an incredible man who I love with everything within me. You have no say in who I love. We are done as friends. I don’t ever want to see you again.”
“I love you!”
You stared at Claude as he looked at you with pleading eyes. The rain was so loud and the thunder roared through the town. “You’re unbelievable. Do you think I’d fall for that? Even if that were true, do you really think I would drop everything and run into your arms? I want you out of my life.”
“I am not letting you go!”
“If you don’t let me leave, I will contact the authorities.”
Claude moved closer to you. “He’s controlling you.”
You let out a long sigh. “You are exhausting to talk to. I’m going home because I’m sure my husband is worried about me being in this storm.”
“Just listen to me.”
“Goodbye, Claude.”
Claude grabbed you by your upper arm and yanked you hard before releasing you due to the hard whiplash. He flinched when he heard a crack. Your head had hit the wall. Claude shook a little when you slumped to the floor. His heart jumped to his throat when he heard your name screamed by a familiar voice over the rain and thunder. Fear surged through him. Cautiously he turned to see Levi holding his cane with Bo at his side, both of them racing over.
Levi dropped to his knees and ignored the pain shooting through his left leg. He cradled your face and saw some blood. “Talk to me. Come on, darling.”
You opened your eyes and smiled softly. “I’m sorry I didn’t hurry home.”
“It’s okay.” He kissed your forehead. “It’s okay.”
“Claude stopped me from going home.”
Levi kissed you. “Sit there with Bo, okay?”
You hummed. “Okay.”
Levi rose to his feet and glared at Claude. He clenched his cane tightly as his rage consumed him. “What did you do?”
Claude shook in fear. Though he was taller than Levi, Levi was a very terrifying man because of how strong he was and how dedicated he was to justice and what was right. It was very clear to Claude that he was going to be beaten. The first smack hit him in the gut causing him to double over in pain. The second went up against his face sending him backwards and slamming against the floor. A strong and ball-breaking kick connected with his privates, he was sure something had ruptured.
You stumbled to your feet and whined. “Levi?”
Levi stopped his attack and turned to you. “Darling?”
You limped over to him. “Can we go home?”
He nodded and put his arm around you. “Use my cane and me.” He took your basket and held it in his other hand. “We need to get you home.”
You walked together in silence for a while as the storm grew closer. You gazed at Levi to see his stoic look, but you knew a lot was going on in his head. “Thank you for protecting me.”
“I’ll do anything for you.”
“You’re the best. I love you.”
He smiled a little. “Love you always.” He unlocked the front door and helped you inside. “Go change.”
“Yes.”
Levi put the food away and quickly took his meds. He checked your basket and felt his heart flutter at the baby things. “Tch, adorable.” He sighed and looked at Bo. “Your mum is so cute.” He gathered the baby things and the first aid, along with a drink and meds. He moved into the bedroom to see you pulling on your night dress. “Ready?”
You sat on the bed and hummed. “Yes.”
He sat next to you and began cleaning your wound. “I haven’t done this in so many years.”
“Is it bringing back scout memories?”
Levi hummed a laugh. “Yeah, good ones as well. The cadets used to push themselves or do stupid shit during training.” He inspected the cute and saw it didn’t need stitches and only a patch. “I would patch them up.” He placed a patch on your head and handed you a drink and meds. “Hange would too, but seeing as they trained under me, I thought it was best for me to do it.”
You gulped down everything and sighed. “Thanks. I bet you were a wonderful Captain.”
“Sometimes.” He picked up the baby things. “These are adorable. You got all daddy things. What about mummy things?”
“Oh, well I might get those next time.”
Levi saw you fiddling with your dress, meaning you were anxious. He placed his hand on yours. “I’ll get them. I want to buy more for you and the baby.”
You laughed. “You spoil us plenty.”
“I need to spoil you more.”
You giggled as Bo nudged his face against your baby bump, so you fussed him. “All right. I’ll allow it.”
“Thank you.” He pulled his wet clothes off and changed into his night things. “I’ll sort out the washing.”
You hummed. “But your leg.”
He cupped your face and kissed the end of your nose. “You are far more important. Now, I need you to be a good girl and stay awake for a while.”
You nodded. “Yes.”
“Do you have a headache?”
“No.”
“Promise?”
You grinned at him. “Yep! You know why?”
He smiled. “Why?”
“Because I want you to call me a good girl.”
Levi stared at you as his heart throbbed in his chest. “Now, those are some flirting words.”
You giggled. “I’ll behave 'cause we’re both unwell.”
He pressed the end of your nose. “Just wait until we’re better.”
You gulped hard as a tingle went through your body. You looked down at Bo as he gazed at you with his tail wagging. You hummed a laugh and petted him. “Your daddy is a wild man. I love it.”
Tumblr media
Levi was in his massive back garden full of life. He was busy making something special with his carpentry skills. Being retired from the scouts and casually running his shop meant he had a lot of time on his hands. People need hobbies to keep them busy and it is fun to make progress. So, Levi started making things out of wood and had a great skill for it.
He shifted back from what he was making and admired his work. Sweat rolled down his back as the sun beamed down on him. He grabbed his rag and wiped his sweat a little. He grabbed a bobble, pushed his hair back and proceeded to tie it back into a little top knot with a few strands loose. He gripped his shirt and tugged it off. Sweat glistened on Levi’s muscles and scars.
“Sexy.”
Levi turned and gazed at you holding a tray of drinks. “Thank you.”
You waddled over to him and placed the tray down. “I could just take a bite out of you.”
“Please do.”
You wrapped your arms around his neck and kissed him. “Mm, tasty husband.”
Levi squeezed your waist. “You’re the delicious one.”
“Thank you.”
He shifted his hands to cup your belly. “How are you and the baby?”
You grinned at him. “Perfectly well. I am fit to burst though.”
“The little one is overdue.”
“They are.” You sighed and rubbed your belly. “They’re not ready yet and that’s okay.”
He lowered his head. “Mm.”
You cupped Levi’s face and lifted. “I know, I know, you’re excited to meet them. You just have to wait a little longer. You can do that, right?”
Levi’s cheeks turned pink as he smiled. “Yes.”
“Good boy.” You looked around him. “What are you making?”
Levi shifted out of the way. “It’s for you. It’s a rocking chair for you to sit in with the baby. I can use it too, but I mainly made it for you for comfort.”
You welled up. “It’s perfect. Thank you, Levi.”
He held your hand and helped you sit in it. “Comfy?”
You hummed a laugh as you rocked back and forth. “This is amazing.”
“Yeah?”
You nodded. “You did incredible.”
He knelt between your legs. “I’m glad.”
You reached over and petted Levi’s head. “You’re better than you think you are. You have such an amazing talent.”
He rested his head on your lap. “Thank you.” He looked over at Bo staring at him. “No, Bo, this is my lap.”
You giggled at Bo sulking. “You’re both very cute and funny.”
Levi pressed his face into your thighs and lap. “Comfy.”
“I was thinking we go for a swim today. I heard it’s good for pregnant ladies because it eases the weight they carry.”
Levi clenched up a little and lifted his head. “Yes, we’ll go for a swim. Anything to help.” He jumped to his feet and pulled you up. “Do you need help changing?”
You sighed. “I do.” You smiled at the rocking chair. “We should put this in the living room. It’s perfection.” You ran your fingers over the detailed etching. “I love it so much.”
“I’m glad.”
You jumped into Levi’s arms. “My talented and cool husband.” You covered his face in kisses. “Love you.”
“I love you. He glanced and looked at the scar on your forehead. “Let’s get you in that nice cool water.”
You squealed in delight. “Yay!”
Levi ushered you into the house. “Go change and I’ll bring your chair in.”
“I’m gonna add a nice a nice blanket and cushion to that lovely chair.”
Levi blushed at how much you adored something he made you. He lifted the chair and set it in the living room. He added a cushion and a blanket that he knew you liked. “Darling? I made your seat extra comfy.”
You walked out in your swimming things and gazed at the rocking chair. You welled up at how cute it looked. “Oh…oh…oh, I love it!” You hugged Levi tightly. “You’re the best.”
Levi held you tightly. “I’m glad you like it. I’ll make more things.”
You smiled at him. “I love the cot you made our baby.”
Levi blushed bright red. “I’ll make them a rocking horse when they’re older.”
“That’d be perfect.”
He cupped your face and kissed you. “I’ll get changed. Rest for a bit, okay?”
You shifted and plopped yourself on the rocking chair. You moved back and forth as you felt yourself relax. “I love this chair. This might be my new favourite chair.”
Levi joined you and heard what you said. “You like it that much?”
“I do.”
“Mm…” He blushed a little. “I can’t get over this. Sorry, I keep asking if you like it, but I just need reassurance.”
You got out of the chair. “No need to say sorry. I’m the same with food I cook and bake.”
“I love all your baking and cooking.”
You giggled. “Thank you. Shall we take some food and drink?”
“I’ll pack, you rest.”
You huffed a little. “I want to do a few things.”
Levi chuckled as he started to get food and drink to put in a bag. “Well, you need to rest.”
You ran up behind him and grabbed his pecs. “Mean.”
He smiled when you bit his shoulder. “You’re adorable.”
“I love you.”
Levi turned in your arms and smiled at you. “I love you.”
You leaned closer and captured his lips in a sweet and loving kiss. “My Levi.”
He released a happy sigh. “Yours. Now, be a good girl and wait by the front door for me.”
Your cheeks burned at his words. “Yes, Levi.”
He packed the bag and made sure he had things for Bo. He pulled the bag on his back and walked over to you. “Ready?”
You grabbed his hand. “Yes.”
Levi led you through the front garden, across the road and down the beach path to the private spot he owned. He set up the seats always there and made sure yours was extra comfy. “Okay, it’s all ready.”
You pulled your beach dress off and kicked your shoes off. “I’m going for a swim!”
Levi huffed when he watched you hurriedly waddle to the water. “Be careful!” He yanked his shirt off and ran after you. “Troublesome brat.”
You giggled and flopped into the water causing Levi to be splashed. “Got ya!”
Levi dove under the water and swam up to you. “How are you feeling?”
“Much better. The weight of the baby has been eased.”
He moved closer to you. “You’re so amazing. You carry and grow our sweet baby. They must be so heavy.”
You nodded. “Mm, that’s right.”
Levi moved behind you, linked his fingers together and raised your belly. “Oh wow, this is heavy. Our baby is a big one.”
You moaned in delight and leaned against Levi. “That’s incredible.”
Levi smiled and held your tummy. “I’ll do this for as long as you need.”
You closed your eyes and relaxed against him. “Thank you.” You frowned a little when you heard quiet splashing. You opened your eyes to see Bo paddling past. “He really loves the water.”
Levi chuckled. “It’s hard to keep him out.” He sighed. “Little bugger.”
You laughed. “He’s a happy boy. He’ll be a wonderful big brother.”
“I think so too.” Levi lowered your belly carefully, wrapped his arms around you and held you close. “This is the life. I never thought years ago this would happen to me. I thought I had lost everything, but you entered my life and brought light and life into it. You are truly my everything.”
You reached up and squeezed his upper arm. “I can tell you’re worried about something.”
“I am. I’m nothing without you and I know childbirth is a scary thing. I don’t want to lose you.”
“You won’t. I’m strong, Levi.” You turned in his arms and faced him. “I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be right here with you, always.”
He lowered his head a little. “I so desperately want to be a father with you as the mother. However, there are fears and worries.”
You wrapped your arms around his neck. “I understand. I’ll live and we’ll raise our baby together.”
“I just…I don’t want a repeat of my mother…”
You hugged Levi tightly. “I’ll stay with you until we’re very old with lots of grandbabies and great-grandbabies.”
Levi closed his eyes as he imagined it all. He smiled at the wonderful thought. “I can see it now. It’s just perfect.”
“I know you’ve been through a lot and me saying it’ll be all right won’t fix a thing.” You sighed. “But it really will be all right.”
“Yeah, you’re right.”
You hissed a little in pain. “Baby is having a little party.”
Levi placed his hands on your bump. “Relax, sweet little baby. Relax for momma.”
You winced again. “I don’t think it’s them causing this.”
Levi went white. “Are you?”
You groaned. “I don’t know, maybe?”
Levi scooped you up like a bride and ran with you to the shore. “We need to get to the hospital right away.”
“Levi, you don’t need to run with me. I can walk.”
“I know, but let me do this.” He gazed at you with pleading eyes. “Please.”
You smiled softly at Levi. “Of course, my grumpy. I’m all yours.”
Tumblr media
The birth of your daughter Kuchel went smoothly, but Levi was a wreck. When he saw the blood and the mess that came from giving birth, his PTSD was triggered a little. You felt awful that your husband was in pain emotionally. Levi stayed strong though. He held your hand and breathed with you. He held his little girl in his arms and was speechless. Kuchel was perfect and healthy.
You took everything in your stride. Levi was in awe of you. He truly had a strong and brave wife. Though you went through a lot of pain, Levi was with you every step of the way. He helped you through your breathing and he was there to help you go to the toilet in the days after giving birth when everything ached.
Levi went into full caregiver mode. He made you rest as often as possible. He changed Kuchel, cleaned the house and did the cooking as you got all the rest possible to heal up. Your home was filled with laughter, love and sweet coos of a baby. You fell in love with Levi in a whole different way. There was just something about your husband holding his daughter and singing to her. He often rendered you speechless with how impressive he was at taking care of the baby. Levi Ackerman was a sexy dad.
Levi was deeply and completely enamoured by you. He too had fallen in love with you in a whole new way. The fact that you made a sweet baby, brought her into this world and was now caring for her was beyond incredible to him. You were this sexy goddess in his eyes that could create life. He was madly, deeply and hopelessly in love with you.
You rocked in your chair with Kuchel in your arms as she fed from you. Your hand lightly patted her as she happily fed with eyes closed. You felt the loving gaze of your husband upon you. You glanced up to see him staring at you from the sofa. You could have sworn Levi had hearts in his eyes.
You smiled at your husband. “Something on your mind?”
“You.”
You hummed a laugh. “I’m always on your mind.”
“Yes.”
You pulled Kuchel from you and helped her burp. “You’re a man of few words today.”
He moved over to you and took Kuchel so you could fix your dress. “I’m just…you render me speechless a lot.”
“You’re adorable.”
“I love you.”
You blushed a little. “I love you too.”
He gently rocked Kuchel in his arms. “Our daughter is so beautiful.”
You hummed a laugh. “She is. Do you want to go for a walk with her? It’s a nice day and I know Bo has been itching to get out.”
Levi nodded. “I’d like that.”
You got out of your seat and moved around the kitchen to get snacks for a little picnic. You glanced over at Levi as he walked over to the pram with his daughter. You smiled as Bo followed Levi. Ever since Kuchel was born, Bo had been at her side always. Bo used to sleep in your room, but now he slept with Kuchel and protected her. He was the best big brother to her.
You picked up the basket of food and walked over to your husband. “She ready?”
Levi smiled with pride as his little girl in her pram. “She’s all snug.”
You reached down and tickled her cheek. “Precious baby.”
“She’s so cute.”
You placed the basket in the bottom slot. “She’s adorable. All packed.”
Levi pushed the pram out of the home and smiled down at Kuchel as she looked around her in pure awe. He turned to you and pouted when you didn’t walk next to him. He blushed when you giggled and hurried right over to him. You shifted over and hugged his arm as you walked. Bo walked ahead and led the walk into the town. All attention was on the two of you. Most people couldn’t believe the famed Captain was now a father.
You gasped when you looked ahead at the park and saw the cadets having a little break. “Look, Levi. It’s the cadets you trained.”
Levi groaned. “I’m glad to see them, but I was hoping this would be a nice picnic as a family.”
You kissed Levi’s cheek. “We’ll say hello for a bit and then have our little family gathering.”
“Really?”
You nodded. “Yes. Besides, I’m sure they’d love to see the baby.”
Levi blushed hard as he gazed at his little girl. “She is so beautiful. I do like showing her to people.” He smiled. “We made a wonderful baby.” Levi gazed at you. “You’re so incredible.”
You hugged Levi’s arm. “So are you.”
Levi pushed the pram over to the gang. “Morning all, I have someone for you to meet. Tch, try not to crowd her.”
Mikasa looked down at your baby and gasped in delight as a cute blush spread on her cheeks. “Baby.”
Connie shot to his feet. “Baby!? Captain had a baby!?”
Jean frowned. “How did you not know he was going to have one? I told you at their wedding.”
“Ooooooh, yeah I forgot.”
Armin smiled at your baby. “Beautiful.”
You scooped her up into your arms and showed her off. “This is Kuchel.”
Annie walked over and looked down at your baby from behind Armin. “Cute.”
Levi pulled you back and away from Annie, it was understandable that he still had issues with her. “How has everything been for you lot?”
Armin smiled. “Well. It has been hard work, but we’re getting there.”
You moved over to Jean. “I know you love babies.”
Jean blushed as he looked down at Kuchel. “So pretty.” He offered his finger to her and blushed harder when she held onto him. “This is amazing.”
You hummed a laugh. “She likes you. I bet you’d be a great uncle to her.”
“I will!”
Mikasa shifted over and lightly poked Kuchel’s cheek. “She’s so soft.”
You hummed a laugh. “She’s family to you, right? You’re a distant cousin to Levi.”
Mikasa nodded. “Yeah.” She welled up a little. “Family.”
“I’m sure you’ll care for her too, right?”
“Promise.”
Levi placed his hand on your back. “Darling?”
You smiled a little. “We have a little family date. So, we should arrange a time and date for us all to meet again. I think a nice little party should be good.”
“Sounds like a good plan.”
You placed Kuchel back in the pram. “I’ll see you all soon. Let’s go, Levi.” You frowned as Bo was rolling on the grass with everyone fussing him. “Bo? Come on!”
Levi whistled causing Bo to run right over. “Good boy.”
You waved to the group and walked with Levi across the park to a nice shaded spot under a tree. Levi set the blanket up and the nice cosy spot as you gathered Kuchel in your arms. You sat down and lay her on a little bed Levi made her. You snuggled up to your husband once he joined you and relaxed together.
Levi pulled a face. “Do you think I did a bad thing back there? You know, running from them?”
“I think there is nothing wrong with it, grumpy. It’s okay.” You kissed his cheek. “Sometimes you need the company of those you hold dear and love.”
“Thank you for reassuring me.” He looked over at Kuchel giggling at Bo sniffing her. “Do you think Kuchel loves me?”
You gasped. “Of course! She adores you! As soon as she sees you she is so happy! I’ll prove it.” You picked up Kucel and angled her so she could see Levi. Kuchel smiled brightly and reached for Levi. “See? Now, I’ll cover her eyes.”
Levi moved closer. “Yeah?”
You hummed a laugh “She’s calm now, but then…” You lifted your hand. “Daddy!”
Kuchel blinked a few times before squealing and reaching for Levi. “Aboo!”
Levi chuckled. “She really loves me, huh?”
You handed Kuchel over. “She loves you more than anything.”
Levi cuddled his baby. “Oh, well I think she loves you more. I talk to her about you.”
You giggled. “I know, I’ve heard you.” You reached over as Kuchel lit up in delight and flopped her hand at you. “I’m right here, my little flower.”
Levi smiled as tears filled his eyes. “I’m happy, really happy. I am at a loss for words to explain how happy I am.”
You leaned closer and kissed Levi. “I feel the same. We have a long road ahead of us. Just wait for when she can run.” You laughed. “She’ll be running circles around you.”
“That’s a bit exciting. I can’t wait and for more kids, maybe?”
You nodded. “Yes. I would love more.”

Hello!! I’ve gone through and read so much of your aot stuff! I absolutely love your writing and you deserve so much love!
I read the dad Eren post and I’d really love to read about dad Levi when his wife goes into labor! How that is the only time you’ve ever seen him lose his composure, he’s almost freaking out more than you are. But in the end he walks up and down the hallways with you, massages your lower back to help ease the back labor, and is nothing but the best supportive husband while you’re pushing.
Dad Levi makes me want to be pregnant so bad 😭
Thank you so so much, it's really small compliments like this that helps us writers keep going <3 Hoping not to disappoint in the future !
genre : fluff
warnings : none
A protective arm rests around your waist as the two of you rush out of Hange's car and to the hospital. A pained groan from you urges him to scoop you up in his arms, panic and urgency rippling in his eyes as he runs you inside.
"We're here, okay ? We're here, mon amour. Just hang in there." He reassures in a breath, heart wild in his chest and on the verge of giving out as another hiss slips from your lips through gritted teeth.
And as he passes the doors, Levi doesn't even need to say a word for the nurse to pick up on the situation. Thankfully for him, as no words came out of his throat, too shaken by the raw emotions swarming inside of him to find his voice.
He holds your hand all the while, barely wincing when your knuckles turn white from the tightening grip as pain rips through you, sweat coating your forehead and brows as the nurse encourages you to push. Worry churns in his chest as he watches over you.
He bleeds as another agonising scream tears your lungs and scratches your throat, your eyes clenched shut and features contorted in pain. He hates seeing you like this, unable to take the excruciating pain of labour from you even though he swore to protect you.
“I’m here. Hold onto me, okay ?” He says, so supportive as he brushes matted locks of hair from your features, unable to hide the anxiety in his voice, “You’re doing so well, mon amour.”
And for a second, as he catches a glimpse of the doctor’s blood soaked gloves, fear swallows him whole and his heart drops at the pit of his stomach. The terrible images that’s been haunting his nightmares since the day you told him the big news coming out of the shadows to play his worst fears on loop in his head.
What if you died, just like Kuchell had ? What if you didn’t make it out ?
A cold shiver steeled up his spine at the simple thought of never seeing your loving smile, never hearing your voice, never tasting your lips on his and never touching your skin. A world without you.
And suddenly, his head cleared, the very first cry of your daughter ringing in the room like a wake up call.
You fell back on the bed, exhausted. Gently, the nurse placed the bundle of joy in his arms, Levi’s eyes wide and trembling with emotions he could hardly untangle as he stared down at your child, the product of your love for one another.
Shock, joy, fear, happiness.
It all swirled and swirled in his chest, vision blurred by welling up tears as he smiled down at her for the first time.
“Bonjour, mon coeur.”

I saw your requests are open so here I want to give my little scenario a try! 🕳🤸🏽‍♀️ I thought abt this last night, I’m currently rewatching AOT after 6 yrs and yet to finish season 4, so sorry if I’m wrong abt timelines/the plot? My request is the reader was with child with Reiner, but b4 reader told him, he betrayed and exposed his mission. Levi stepped in to help reader. And btw, I just finished watching ep 3 of season 4, so maybe Eren telling reiner abt his child and he regrets leaving the reader? And reiner jealous at the fact Levi is most likely considered his child’s father at that point. I can’t come up with an ending, so I’ll leave it up to you if you do take in my request. If this isn’t your type of writing I totally understand!
Note: This story is canon divergent. It is set in season 4, but in a universe where Reiner is not revealed as a traitor/the armored titan until a few months before season 4 takes place, as the reader was having relations with him until then and did not know his secret. I’m sorry if that change bothers you, I just wanted to write this as sort of its own story. This story contains season 4 spoilers! It also has nothing to do with the canon ending of AOT.
---
Dear Reiner,
I hope this letter somehow gets to you, I don’t quite know where to start.
In a perfect world, I would be so happy to tell you this. You’d be ecstatic too, I think. And before you try to second guess me: I’m sure by now, don’t worry.
I’m pregnant.
I guess we weren’t careful enough before you left. I feel like an idiot. And lost. But I’m not hopeless. I know myself, I can make it work somehow. With or without you.
I’m still in shock about you. How could someone so close hide so much? You’re a talented spy I suppose, a great asset to Marley. You made me trust you with my entire life. You made me love every false thing about you. And this is the rude awakening I get in return.
I’ll raise our child to value honesty and kindness, all in spite of you.
Sincerely,
Reader
---
The paper was damp with tears after you lifted your pen for a final time. You wished you could just keep the whole thing a secret: go make a quiet life for yourself somewhere else. It wouldn’t be right. Not after all of the dishonesty that man had spewed to you over the past few years. You had to tell him.
The door to the office room you’d settled in to write the letter creaks open. It’s Levi. He looks at your puffy eyes somberly, sympathetic. He was the first person you had told about the entire situation. Not because you were close, just because you needed help.
You fold your letter and stick it into a sturdy envelope. Levi takes it in his hand.
“That piece of shit doesn’t deserve a thing from you. Not a letter. Certainly not tears,” Levi says, using a clean handkerchief to wipe a stray drop from your cheek, “but I am proud of you.”
You take the handkerchief from him, feeling more tears stream down your face.
“Proud? I’m a fucking idiot,” you say through your sobs.
“Don’t even try to pull that self pity shit with me. Things happen sometimes. And you’re strong enough to commit to getting through it,” he responds.
You stand up, pushing your chair out. You look at him as you dry your face off again.
“I’m alone. How the hell am I supposed to do this shit alone?”
“You are not alone,” Levi replies. You’re shocked when he pulls you into a hug. “I’m going to help.”
You had never seen this side of him before. You look at him as you pull away slowly, tears still welled in your eyes.
“Are you sure? That's a big burden, Levi. None of this has to involve you.”
“Not the biggest burden I’ve ever taken on,” he shrugs. “There’s a lot of death around here, Y/N. Everyone is going to be happy about the little bit of life you’re giving us.”
You chuckle. He’s cynical, but he’s right.
He licks the envelope as he walks toward the door.
“Want me to run you a hot bath or something? Is that the type of shit pregnant people need?” he asks.
You laugh, a little harder than normal. It felt so relieving to laugh.
“Sure, Captain,” you respond softly.
---
Dear Reader,
I received your letter before the battle in Marley. I actually got to hand it to Reiner myself. He knows everything now. He broke down in front of me after reading it, going on about how much he regrets everything. How he wishes he could change things and be there for you. He begged me to kill him right there.
The world will eventually not have suffering like what you are going through now.
Eren Jaeger
---
Your jaw had dropped reading it. He begged me to kill him.
You hand the letter Levi had just delivered back to him. He reads it with a furrowed brow.
“Do you think…” you begin, your voice shaky, “do you think I could send another letter?”
Levi purses his lips, “Possibly. I can ask Jaeger. But right now, you need to bring your blood pressure back down.”
You were over seven months along now. You had found out about your pregnancy late, after being in denial for four whole months. Hange insisted on checking you out after you’d thrown up every morning for a week.
Levi had since gone on a parenting book reading spree; he made you read several of them too. He knew just about everything you needed to do to make a healthy baby: what to eat, what not to eat, how to exercise, when to go to the doctor, etc. It was really sweet how much he cared. You knew it gave him hope, something to fight for, something to come home to.
You were terrified when he left for Marley. You kissed him for the first time when he returned. Just about everyone you knew had to fight. You wished you could be out there fighting with them like you were supposed to. Maybe you could have made a difference.
Levi takes your hand, squeezing it to bring you out of your thoughts.
“What can I do?” he asks.
“Get me a glass of wine,” you grumble.
“Absolutely not.”
---
Dear Reiner,
Reader does not know I’m sending this. So keep it that way, or I’ll kill your sorry ass. Or maybe not, you’d probably enjoy that. In that case I’ll get creative.
How does it feel? Being a fucking deadbeat? Is it everything you’d thought it’d be and more? Fucking her and leaving her with nothing, like she belongs in a whorehouse. Reminds me of what happened to my mother. Pieces of shit like you came in and sent her to her death, leaving her kid behind to starve.
I wasn’t about to let her suffer like my mother did. But you were. I’m glad your choices haunt you, Reiner. You fucking deserve it.
I’ll be there for the both of them from now on, doing everything you were never capable of. She’s due any day now, I’m sure she’ll try to write to you.
Levi
---
You feel your first contraction while napping on the couch with Levi. You were settled in between his legs, your back leaning up against his chest. He had his hands on your stomach; he loved to feel the baby kick and tell them some of the happier stories in his memories.
The two of you had grown so close over the past few months. You slept together every night now. You didn’t want to leave each other’s sides if you didn’t have to. Levi would cuddle and massage you any time your pregnant body was ailing you.
You had fantasized with him about life after the war. He wanted to be a husband, a father, to live peacefully in the countryside. And he wanted more than anything for you to join him.
The first contraction wasn’t painful enough for you to make much more than a grunting noise, but Levi woke up the second he felt your stomach contort a bit. He was on very high alert these days.
“Holy… shit…is that what I think it is?” Levi whispers, “Don’t answer. I’m getting Hange.”
He crawls out from behind you and sprints out of the room.
The pain worsens and becomes much more frequent while he’s out looking for Hange. You stand up eventually after getting the urge to walk around - and your water breaks. You start panicking, unsure of how dilated you were and how much time you had left before pushing. You really wished you’d done more than just skimmed through those birthing books right about now.
Levi and Hange eventually come sprinting back into the room with a wheelchair and cold rags to find you whimpering in pain on the couch, trying your best to control your breathing.
You’re rushed down the halls to the Scout’s infirmary, where Levi had made sure the perfect room was set up for you - and it had been that way for two months.
The next hour goes by in a blur. Hange knew the biology of how to deliver the baby, and Levi knew how to coach you. He helped you hold your legs back when you pushed, and helped you count out your breathing. Hange attended to everything that might have made Levi faint, like checking your dilation and making sure the baby was coming out at the right angle. You got lucky having these two by your side.
Through all of your efforts, you finally hear a cry. You look up to see Levi holding your tiny new baby as Hange wiped them clean. He was smiling, way bigger than you’d ever seen him smile before, with tears in his eyes.
“Here,” he says softly, handing her to you.
You cradle her on your bare skin. “She’s so perfect, Levi! Look how sweet she is!” you coo.
“What are you going to call her?” he asks, stroking your hair as you gleam down at your baby.
“I was thinking,” you smile, “Kuchel.”
Levi lets out small gasp. Tears start streaming down his face, his efforts to stifle them failing.
“Really? I think that’s,” he wipes his eyes, “a wonderful name.”
—-
Dear Reiner,
She’s finally here! Oh my god, she’s precious. Levi and Hange helped to deliver her. Labor went smoothly. Levi started to cry when he saw her for the first time. She really is just that perfect. We are calling her Kuchel, after Levi’s mother. He cried when I told him that, too (don’t tell him I’m sharing those crying details.) I've decided to give her Levi’s last name as well.
Levi set up the perfect nursery for us.
If you really did feel guilty for leaving - don’t be. I’m happy.
She has your eyes.
Sincerely,
Reader
—-
Dear Reiner,
Kuchel said her first word today. Of course it wasn’t mama, she’s such a daddy’s girl. She started crawling awhile ago, we are now working on standing up on our own. She has all of this blonde curly hair, too. She’s growing up so fast.
Reader
—-
Dear Reiner,
Levi proposed a few days ago. It was so perfect. We found a nice house with room for a farm that will be perfect for a family.
I can only wonder how you’re doing, now that the war is over.
Are you even alive?
Reader
—-
Dear Reiner,
I’m expecting again. Levi is beyond excited. I am too, of course. Kuchel started school this year. She is such a smart kid.
I still wonder about you. After all these years.
Reader
—-
Message after message, word after word. No response. You had decided he must be dead. The devastation after the war would argue that he was.
That is, until you found yourself rummaging through one of Levi’s desk drawers, looking for baby Isabel’s lost pacifier.
You felt the bottom of the drawer shift. A false bottom?
You pry at it until it comes open.
Letters.
Dozens of opened letters. With Marleyan postage stamps.
You pull out the first bundle you see. They’re all from you. Unopened. Unsent. You set them aside, your jaw quivering.
You pull out the second bundle and gasp.
—-
Dear Reader,
Eren showed me your letter. I am terribly sorry. Let me fix this, somehow. You can come to live with me in Marley. I will take care of you. Please.
I’m not just a traitor, a liar, a farce. Everything between us was real. I can explain everything. Just trust me.
Love,
Reiner
Dear Reader,
Do you get my letters?
I’ve only heard rumors about our new baby girl. I wish I could see her. Just once. For a second. Do you have a camera? I know they’re hard to come by in Paradis. I can send one.
I’d do anything to change this. You know I would.
Love,
Reiner
—-
To Levi,
You son of a bitch. I know exactly what you’re doing. You think this is protecting her, but it’s not. Just let her talk to me. She would listen, she would understand. You said yourself that she writes. You manipulative, sick bastard. That is MY child. She will never be yours. No matter what you brainwash her to believe, your dirty Ackerman blood does not run through her veins. She deserves to know. You are the farce, Levi.
Reiner
—-
There were dozens more. All opened. All from Reiner.
You sink down to the floor, tears spilling from your eyes.
You are the farce, Levi.
But, why? He was just protecting you, right?
The office door opens. You jump, shoving the letters back into the drawer.
“Mommy, why are you crying?” Kuchel asks.
You take a deep breath, staring down at the letters, thinking about everything that could have been.
“Are you happy here, Kuchel?”
“Yes!” she chirps, “Every day!”
“Then it’s nothing, baby. Mommy just got hurt. She’s better now.”
Your daughter giggles and skips out of the room, leaving you to hide away the rest of the letters.

I REALLY HOPE I understood your request, Anon! I actually had a lot of fun writing this. It isn't something I would normally think to write, but I'm so glad you shared this idea! Sorry for the sad ending, I love playing w people's emotions ;)

A thousand burning suns III

A thousand burning suns III
Her parents named her Mikasa after the strong resolve of the Ackermans. If anything, Mikasa lives up to her namesake. After all, she’s what remains of her family. She thinks about this as her fingers skim the scorched wall of her family hall- the spot where Levi’s portrait once resided.
Her fingertips come to rest on a spot where the paint is stubborn- in it, she sees the greys of his irises.
I found your daughter. She’s grown now. She says, the last grain of anger slipping through her hands like sand. He had left her alone. Alone to bear the responsibilities of being an Ackerman. And yet, Mikasa finds herself wondering if his daughter looks anything like him. I will fulfil my promise to both of you…
The girl is a strange mix of of her father and her mother. Behind her smile, a resolve that can only be an Ackerman’s, and behind her calamity, a storm that can only be conjured by a Zoë. And Mikasa’s breath is caught in her chest when she realises the girl has eyes are that are grey like Levi’s.
Mikasa draws her sword before her- the girl with the fire that can change the world. And her tribe kneels behind her- with her.
I am Mikasa Ackerman. Princess of the old tribe of Hizuru. Sister of Levi Ackerman.
And I pledge my allegiance to you.
“You don’t look like my father…” the girl says. She has the bluntness of both her parents combined and Mikasa rolls her eyes.
“My father had two wives...”
“Politics?”
“Foolishness.” Mikasa corrects. She doesn’t yet know what to think of the girl. All she knows is that her place is beside her. She doesn’t dare second guess her own decision. To do so meant the destruction of her people. “Just like your parents…” she adds.
And the girl laughs. She understands- there’s no denying that she’s the product of said foolishness. But a foolishness so beautiful she grows up with stories that furnish her parents’ absence. The girl grows up on love that transcends the melancholic ache of loss.
And Mikasa sees this. She sees this in the way the girl speaks to her following. Gentle like her mother, with a strength only Hanji wielded. And she feels the guilt clawing angrily at her guts. She had hated Hanji. Hated her brother because of Hanji. She never understood how a princess from across the sea with wild hair and the most boisterous laugh she’s ever heard had managed to bewitch her brother. The Ackermans have always been loyal. They’ve always been. Her father- to his dying breath- had been loyal, even her mother who had charged into battle with him. But everything changed when the Princess from the port kingdom set foot on their shores.
She remembers Hanji’s smile, which she regrets not reciprocating enough. But Hanji never minded. Even when Mikasa’s scowl intensified as Levi continued to get closer to Hanji.
This woman will be your downfall. The words never quite materialised, but Levi hears it nonetheless- he sees it in the disappointment on Mikasa’s face when she catches him slipping out of the queen’s quarters in the middle of the night.
But she holds her tongue only because she’s never seen her brother quite so-
Alive.
Her brother who has only moved at the whims of the crown. Her brother who had never been selfish. Her brother who had taken the blame for all her mischief, her misdeeds since they had been children.
Mikasa holds her tongue.
“You are a pain… Just like your mother…”
Mikasa says to the girl one day. And the girl laughs, the same rambunctious laughter, so much so that Mikasa aches. But Mikasa maintains her frown, chides the girl when she rides off in front of her. She’ll have to learn that a leader follows their own orders.
And Mikasa can’t help but think of Hanji. Of her carelessness, her inquisitiveness, her insatiable appetite for the world. Of the bouquet of gardenias and hyacinths that Hanji had given her when they rode out to the valleys.
Mikasa learns gardenias mean you are lovely, and hyacinths mean please forgive me.
The supply routes have been compromised. The guards have overrun the underground but the girl insists on dropping supplies. “They won’t last the week,” she says, resolute, “we are doing this.” It’s a close brush but the girl makes swift work of the guard before he can swing his sword.
“Focus Mikasa…” the girl teases and Mikasa, past her own shock, shakes her head in annoyance, “you’re a pain just like your father!”
But the supply routes have been recaptured. The guards will try again, but for now the vigilante network can hold them off. The girl- her resolution- the reason people have sworn their loyalties. She demonstrates the brilliance of a thousand burning suns.
You are just like your mother… Mikasa says again later when the girl leans her head on her shoulder. Thank you…
Levi grew up in the underground. His father sent someone to fetch him and his mother when he realised Kuchel had borne him a son. He meets his step-sister for the first time at his parents’ wedding. Little Mikasa Ackerman, hiding behind her mother’s dress.
And Mikasa remembers looking at him- the boy from the underground- raven hair like hers, but eyes that have seen much, much more. She remembers the thirteen years between them. She remembers her hand in his when they had announced her parents’ deaths, and later, Kuchel’s death to an unknown disease. She remembers the smug lift of his lips when he had owned up to breaking one of the vases in the palace when it had been her. He was beaten. She sees the extent of the wounds this kingdom can inflict. And she knew it’s her and Levi against the world.
But he falls in love with the Queen, their Queen, of the crown her family has sworn to protect.
Hanji is expecting…
Levi says to her one day. And Mikasa waits in anxious anticipation. She doesn’t want the words to come. Because everything will change.
The child is mine…
The world stops spinning. Mikasa wants to cry. She lets a tear slip when he tells her she has to run away. When the baby is born she has to run away to her mother’s tribe. To fight their wars and serve as their Princess. And they will protect her. They will keep her safe.
But all Mikasa has ever known is her and Levi against the world. Her heart sinks.
And it aches when she finds Hanji alone one day, looking at the stars, and Mikasa can think of nothing but her own anger and Hanji’s impending doom.
But Hanji calls out to her, with a smile that has never wavered in her presence. And Mikasa goes to her, sits with her, and listens as she talks about the stars. But her eyes stray to the slight curve of Hanji’s belly.
“You want to feel her moving?” Hanji asks when she catches her looking.
She nods, and Hanji takes her hand in the warmth of her palm, placing it on the swell. There’s a smile that breaks on Mikasa’s face when she feels the baby move. This child, made with so much love that death will trail in her wake. This child can only be brilliant.
Mikasa looks at Hanji, and she realises she has never admitted how beautiful her Queen is. She understands why Levi would fall for her. There’s a certainty in her steps, comfort in her mannerisms, and a charm that comes easily to her. There’s a slight curve of her lips- this smile- just for her brother’s lover.
Hanji cradles Mikasa’s cheek in her hand and the warmth spreads and Mikasa will regret not apologising to Hanji. Not telling her she’s sorry for being so cold. For acting out. But the moment has passed and there’s jauntiness in the way Hanji smiles back at her-
“I hope you get to meet her one day…”
After they take the castle, people are shouting through the streets- the king is dead, the king is dead, the king is dead! And the kingdom thaws from its endless winter. The night begins with music, with a steady flow of wine, with dancing.
The three flags raised above the walls bear witness to the festivities. They represent the alliance of three kingdoms-
The flag of the Zoës, her mother’s people, who have sailed across the sea to fight her war, to fight in memory of her mother,
The flag of the Hizurus, a tribe revived and restored to its former glory by its Princess,
And the Wings of Freedom- the flag of the resistance.
The throne room needs to be cleaned out, but for now, Mikasa leads her inside, fetching her a crown from the vaults. The girl knows it was her mother’s. The crown now sits on her head.
Welcome home, Princess.
Your mother loved this place. She called it “Little Sea”.
Mikasa tells her when they are at the lake. The weather is mild enough to sit on the grass and they are talking about everything. When Levi and Hanji had been killed, their bodies were burnt so as to avoid attempts at martyrdom. But the servants had scattered their ashes into the lake.
I want to tell you about your parents- of Hanji Zoë and Levi Ackerman.
Mikasa says. And she does. She tells her how her father, who never had any interest in girls, fell in love with Hanji Zoë. Oh how terrible he had been at wooing her, how clumsy he had been. Oh the suffering of everyone who had to bear witness to her brother’s attempts at romance. But she fell for him regardless. And it feels nice to finally admit that it was a love that was meant to be. That had to be. It’s a good love, she thinks, and Levi deserved a love like that.
“Your mother… She made my brother very happy… I’ve never seen him so happy…”
“I heard he wore a perpetual frown…”
“The ugliest one…” Mikasa giggles, “but she made him smile…”
The girl beams, and Mikasa sees Hanji- her effortless charm and the sense of comfort that follows. If anyone deserved to be happy, it was Hanji.
As the sun sets, the girl, the last of Mikasa’s family, reaches her hand out to her. Mikasa takes the girl’s hand, looking back only to set the bouquet down where the water meets the earth. For all the words left unsaid-
Camellias for admiration,
Blue salvias for I think of you, and
Hydrangeas to mean thank you for your forgiveness.

LEVI ackerman knew he wasn't a good person. he knew from the moment he watched his uncle slaughter a man in front of him at the age of eight.
levi knew the moment he killed a man for theft. he knew the moment people would cower before him in highschool when he'd walk through the halls. he knew the moment he was sucking the smoke from a cigarette into his mouth.
he knew the moment he found himself fighting police officers. he knew the moment he was pushed against the hood of a car with his hands cuffed behind his back.
he knew the moment when erwin smith sat down in front of him with no emotion written on his face. the moment when erwin said he knew levi had done it, but he would be defending him either way. the moment when levi disobeyed the oath as he spat out his testimony. the moment the gavel was slammed down along with the verdict of 'not guilty'. the moment he stepped into the sunshine, erwin's hand in his, for the first time in months, knowing damn well he didn't deserve it.
but levi didn't care, he never did. the world he was born into was cruel. he had to fight for his place at the top, for his food, for his clothes, for everything. if no one cared about him, then why should he care for others.
but as he stares down at you trembling from fear on the floor, he can't help but think that he's incorrect.
"please don't hurt me again," you plead in a whisper, tilting your head to the floor.
levi only sighs, walking in and shutting the door behind him. he crouches in front of you, hand now awkwardly stroking your head.
"what happened," he asks, and it's something that comes as a shock to you. you were slightly prepared for a beating.
you snap your head up to look at him in shock.
"what have you got in your hands," he points at the scrapbook held to your chest.
"oh!" you fumble to show him, "i saw this earlier... i wanted to look but i didn't think you'd allowed me. i'm sorry, please don't hurt me."
"i would've let you, i barely look at this thing anymore. can you tell me what happened now," he scoffs at the front cover of the scrapbook.
"when i was going to put it back, a book on the shelf fell. then another book on the top shelf fell off, so i used the lower shelves as a ladder. as you can see, it didn't work," you look ashamed while you gesturing towards the shelf.
he just huffs, "go sit on the couch. we can look through that book after i clean."
you obey and watch levi heft the bookshelf back onto its legs. his fists clench as he looks down at the pile of books surrounding his feet.
hastily, levi's picking up the books by the color and placing them back onto the shelf. when he's finished, he takes a step back to look at it. he's unsatisfied, instead more frustrated as he starts to take all of the books off of the second bookshelf he has.
but in the middle of taking the books off the shelf, he twitches and taps the book against the wood five times. he's putting the books back onto the shelf, going back to the other bookshelf and taking all the books off of that.
you stare in absolute bewilderment. the shelves had looked perfect and identical to you, not to mention clean. as he's in the midst of taking the books off the shelf, he taps the book against the wood again.
and with that, he's placing it all back onto the shelf again. he sighs in relief after he's checked everything, finally trotting to you and plopping down next to you on the loveseat.
nervously, you scoot closer to him in order for you both to be able to see the scrapbook. he watches you flip it open past his baby picture, instead turning to the page that showed his mother feeding him.
"that's my mom, kuchel," he gently rubs his finger on the photograph, "think i was around a year at this point."
humming, you flip to the next page. when you realize it's the picture of levi at his mother's funeral, you try to flip the page but levi stops you.
a sigh, he explains, "my mother always had a very weak immune system, according to my uncle. because of where we lived, we both ended up getting deathly ill and we were too weak to get any help. i had to watch her die and wait for someone to come check up on us."
"i'm assuming it was your uncle," you tilt your head.
"it was. he took me in afterwards, gave me food and a shower. he even taught me how to hold a knife and how to fight for future reference. he had some work to do while i would fight for food."
you point to the one of levi standing in front of a building. to which he replies with, "first day of kindergarten. my mother was still alive back then so she decided to take the picture."
he turns the page for you, a relieved look in his eyes at he stares at the next photograph. it's a picture of levi, in high school, wearing a tux while standing next to another man with a bubbly girl holding onto levi as she holds up a peace sign.
the boy, who's also wearing a tux, has ice blue eyes and wavy dirty blonde hair that obviously hasn't been styled. he's got a gentle smile on his face while he looks at both the girl and levi, someone who levi was obviously fond of.
the girl has dark red hair in low and loose ponytails with freckles painting her tan cheeks. her eyes shine an emerald green along with her pearly white teeth.
"that's... isabel and farlan. met them in 8th grade, and we were at junior prom in this. farlan took me as his date while isabel went stag. i'm glad i still have this picture."
you resist the urge to fight back the joke of his type in men, instead asking, "are you not friends anymore?"
levi stays quiet for a moment, "they died in a horrible car crash a month later. some asshole decided to drink and drive while driving a semi. rear ended them at 45 miles per hour and killed them on impact. isabel was slouching in her seat and farlan was hunched over the wheel apparently. it was gruesome."
"i.... i'm so sorry," you reluctantly touch his arm.
he waves his free hand up and down in dismissal, despite hurt he actually was, "it's fine. happened years ago."
he turns the next page in order to distract himself from the sheer awkwardness that bathes the room. the next picture is of him, around the age of 24, standing in the sunlight while he smiles softly to the sky.
"erwin was my attorney, before he became a prosecutor, when i went to jail. he proved me not guilty and this was the picture he managed to take of me right after we left the courthouse. it was the first time i'd seen the sun without handcuffs on in months," he huffs with slight annoyance at the memory, something that surprises you just a bit.
"why'd you get arrested?"
"nothing you need to worry about," telling you would only make you fear him more. and that would be a pain to deal with.
the next page after is blank, along with the rest that follow.
"i stopped because i thought it was stupid," he crosses his arms, nudging the back of the scrapbook with his knee.
"i don't think it's stupid," you shake your head, fingertips gently tracing the grainy and textured paper.
"why's that?"
"well," you smile a bit while your mind wonders to the scrapbook pieck made you one year for your birthday, "it shows you the good memories that you might've missed as the time passed. reminds you that there's something in every little small day. it helps you keep the memory alive, even if some of it is upsetting, and i think it shows how much you've changed as a person."
levi stares at you, slightly flustered at your words as you relook at the photographs with gentle hands.
he stands up, "i just remembered the tea." ah, a sound excuse. if only levi had made tea.
you watch as he seems to rush out of the room, something you shrug off while gently putting the scrapbook on levi's desk and laying back down on the couch. you play another movie on the television that hangs on the wall, perking up when levi walks back into the room with a tray. it holds finger sandwiches and some lettuce mixed with some fruit in a small bowl along with tea. cracked sunflower seeds sit on a small plate on the side, and you feel yourself droll when you realize at there's cheese, lettuce, and ham on your sandwich.
levi places it on your lap, simply nodding at your kind, "thank you, levi."
he doesn't answer and just goes back to his desk, while you chew quietly.
it stays that way until erwin comes home.
————
it isn't until your eyes are fluttering open that you realize you've fallen asleep. you flinch at the sight of erwin's face close to your's, but slowly relax when he pulls away.
"i'm sorry, i didn't think my kiss would wake you," he places a loving hand on your head.
"'s fine, probably needed to get up anyway," you reply groggily while rubbing an eye, "how long have i been asleep for?"
"levi said since a little bit after lunch. it's only three o'clock at the moment," he sits on the edge of the couch, smiling at how you shuffle to accommodate him.
"sandwiches must've been tasty.... did you just get off work," you sigh and snuggle up under the thin blanket that's been laid on top of you while you were sleeping.
erwin lays his large hand on your cheek, which has you tense for just a moment and then relaxing.
"i got off a little while ago but i needed to run errands," a thumb strokes at the apple of your cheek, something that you disgustingly find comfort in.
"where did levi go?"
"went to make himself some tea," he chuckles with a shake of his head, "he claimed that he felt withdrawals."
you shake your head while laughing, "i doubt he said that. how was work?"
"i guess i can say it was adequate. i missed you and levi the whole day, but would often get distracted by my clients and their necessities. i'm dealing with a kidnapping case at the moment. a girl around your age named ymir was recently found by her girlfriend, historia. i can't say anything more," he pulls his hand away from you and uses it to pinch the bridge of his nose.
you feel yourself get the chills.
he's.... working on a kidnapping case.
he's prosecuting.... a kidnapper.
he's punishing someone who's doing the same thing as him. someone who took away a girl and kept her trapped for months. god knows what the man did to the girl.
and here you are, letting erwin hold your cheek and looking through an old photo album with levi.
you feel sick to your stomach, shooting up while slapping a hand to your mouth and grabbing at her's shirt.
"i'm gonna throw up," you barely are able to speak without the feeling of your food coming out of your stomach.
startled, erwin stares, "what?"
"can... need a can," you gag and lean over the edge of the couch.
erwin gets up when he realizes just what it is you're asking for, rushing across the room only for you to spill your guts out onto the floor.
it's been forever since you've thrown up, minus when levi kicked your stomach, and it has your whole body shaking. the intensity of it all has your nose dripping with blood and tears falling from your eyes, forcing you to seal your eyes closed.
"what happened here," levi sounds scared as he stands in the doorway, but before erwin can even finish his sentence levi is slamming the door behind him while he storms out.
erwin sighs with frustration, helping you scoot down the couch so he can place the trash can in front of you without the bottom being dirtied. with shaky hands, erwin's pulling all of your hair out of your face while you sob and gag into the trash.
it's ten more minutes before you're able to lay back down. blood and tears stain your face and you dazedly stare up at the ceiling.
"i'll be back with a towel and some water, levi will be back soon with an avalanche of cleaning products," erwin reassurances while he stumbles out of the door.
just as erwin leaves, levi enters. he's got a mask that covers his nose and mouth and rubber gloves that match with his cleaning apron. he's carrying a sponge, some spray, a towel, a broom/dustpan, along with some breath mints.
levi squats on all fours, scrubbing at the floor aggressively as he rides the room of the stench and the stain.
"s... sorry," you croak and levi grimaces.
he ignores you in order to keep scrubbing at the floor just as erwin rushes in with a warm towel and some water. he wipes off your blood, tears, and the mouth to rid you of your vomit. you look at him dazedly as he helps you drink the water he's given you.
levi passes a few breath mints to you when you're done drinking the water, which you eagerly take. you plop them into your mouth, sighing as you rest back against the couch cushions.
"take her to her room," levi orders erwin while spraying the spray onto the floor and couch.
erwin does so in silence, carefully carrying you to your room and laying you on the bed.
"levi won't hurt me will he...? please tell me he won't," you grit your teeth while holding onto erwin's shirt sleeve, tears welling up in your eyes.
"no, he won't. he's just scared," erwin grabs the hand on his sleeve and holds it in his own.
"of what?"
"uncleanliness. a while after he started living with me, i took him to a psychiatrist as i had noticed strange behaviors. he ended up getting diagnosed with ocd, and the psychiatrist thought it had to do with his upbringing in poverty. if things aren't a certain way or clean enough, it causes him to spiral," erwin explains carefully, trying to find the correct words and meanings as he speaks.
"doesn't that... give him more of a reason to hurt me...?" you squeeze his hand tightly and pulling it closer to you in fear.
"it doesn't. why are you insistent at how levi might hurt you," he bunches his eyebrows up in concern while scooting closer to you.
"he's done it so many times before... remember? if i say the wrong thing... i'll get slapped. if i make a mistake, he'll beat me.. i just don't want to hurt anymore," you sob hysterically, bringing your free hand up to your face to cover your eyes.
erwin stares in bewilderment. he hadn't realized just how much levi's beatings effected you. of course, they were supposed to affect you in some way, but not enough where you were terrified of making a wrong move.
"he won't hurt you unless you've deserved it, and you've done nothing in a while. he loves you," erwin stroked his thumb across your skin.
you raise your hand from your eyes to stare at him, heat swarming your face, "he does? he doesn't act like it.."
"of course he loves you," erwin smiles, "i love you as well. we'd never hurt you unless given a reason."
something about his sentence makes your head throb in pain. maybe it was the secret confusion that lingered in your head. they said they loved you, even though they kidnapped you and beat you half to death. but then again, they did provide you with things you'd mentioned to them before in order to keep you happy. they even bought a grand piano for you.
it has your heart speeding up and your body hot, bashfully looking to the side.
you loved them back didn't you? they'd treated you with such care, hadn't they? bathing you, feeding you, dressing you, and even visiting you. anytime they were around you, your heart would speed up and you'd get a weird feeling in your stomach.
that meant love, did it not?
subconsciously, you furrow your eyes and grit your teeth. they didn't love you. they were just crazy.
well, maybe they weren't crazy, maybe just misled. you've yet to learn about erwin's past, but based on the way he acts, you assume that it might be a sensitive topic. that had to be the only logical solution, right?
but if they weren't crazy, they'd let you outside, right?
but then again, the outside world could be dangerous at times. when you went outside last time, you did get scuffed and bruised because of the concrete. maybe they just wanted to protect you? that had to be it.
you open your mouth to reply, but the sound of your door opening and closing has you slamming it shut.
"she's still crying," levi asks while walking closer, frowning at how you grip erwin's hand tighter.
"it's best if i let you and her speak about it," erwin says sadly, letting go of your hand and making his way to the door, "alone."
you gulp as soon as erwin shuts the door behind him, staring at levi anxiously. he plops himself next to your body, just like erwin did before.
"please don't hurt me..."
sighing, he lays himself down next to you and pulls you close to him.
"i'm not going to hurt you," he pulls your head into his chest and wraps his arms around you, "not unless you deserve it."
"but...," you quiver, "you were so angry earlier."
"i wasn't angry. i was just... nervous, i guess. and it wasn't at you, or because of you, it was at the mess."
a silence floods the room as you relax in levi's embrace, heat once again spreading to your cheeks.
"what made you puke? i know lunch wasn't that bad," levi grumbles while rubbing your back, arm slightly stiff.
"erwin... was telling me about his case. the one about the girl getting kidnapped...," you tense up again while levi sighs.
"why would he tell you that? i swear he's gonna end up shooting himself in the foot one day," he shakes his head, "you're not like that girl."
"how so..."
"we did it because we love you, not because we wanted to use your body," he scoffs, "surprised you think of us that lowly."
"n-no! i-i don't," you exclaim.
"i know, i'm just teasing. but don't doubt us like that. we want to love you and care for you, not use you," you trace your finger in a circle at levi's sentence, embarrassment washing over you like a wave.
"you love me?"
"yeah, wouldn't do what i did otherwise."
"i think..." you furrow your eyebrows, unaware of the slightly shocked expression of levi, "i think i love you too..."

After his mother passed away when he was young, Levi was taken in by his uncle, Kenny, who was the head of a criminal organization. Kenny knew Kuchel wouldn`t want her son to get caught up in his lifestyle of crime, but he still taught Levi how to fight, at least to protect himself from the danger that came with being associated with him.
When Kenny was ambushed in their home by a rival organization, Levi managed to disarm one of the men, and when he pulled the trigger to save his uncle, he felt like he traded his soul away. Thinking he was damned already, Levi asked Kenny to join him on the day after. His uncle didn`t deny his request, as apart from himself, his nephew was the strongest man he knew. Levi became Kenny`s right hand in a matter of months, taking on missions by himself.
Levi drowned himself in his work, not caring much about his personal life. The only indulgence he allowed himself was his daily routine of having a cup of tea and a croissant at the cafe run by pretty ginger. Levi tried to stay away from her, being content with just watching her making small talk with every customer who crossed her threshold. Petra sensed Levi was closed off from the start, but that didn`t stop her from giving him a bright smile and wishing him a good day every time he came by. Levi was usually cold when a stranger tried to make small talk with him, but he couldn`t find it in himself to be rude to Petra. Most of the time, he just nodded at her in response, but she was happy to get even this reaction out of him.
Petra lost her parents in a car accident when she was little, and she went to live with her grandparents, who ran the cafe before her. She used to help around after classes, but her favorite part was baking with her grandmother. Petra moved to a bigger town for college, and after she finished her law studies, she decided to move there definitively. She found a good job and moved into an apartment with her best friend, Nifa. After she lost her grandparents, Petra struggled with the choice regarding her inheritance. Nifa advised her to follow her heart, and she realized how much she missed being in her childhood town. She reconnected with her childhood friends, Oluo, Gunther, and Eld, who helped her run the cafe.
After a particularly sour mission, Levi felt the need to drown his sorrows in alcohol. He was already half a bottle of whiskey in when a pretty girl sat next to him at the bar. Petra was already tipsy and was drawn to Levi`s dark aura instantly. She figured she could try her luck and asked the handsome stranger if he would buy her a drink. The one drink turned into two, and then three, and after they finished the bottle, Levi asked her if she wanted to go back to his place. It took them an hour for a ten-minutes walk because they couldn`t keep their hands off each other. Levi stopped her and kissed her every chance he got, and he got so impatient, he took her up in his arms and carried her upstairs. They were both so drunk and so into each other that they didn`t recognize they had met before.
Petra woke up with a headache and ten missed calls from the guys, and she cursed herself for oversleeping and ran to work without bothering to wake up Levi. She left him a note with her name and her workplace to come for coffee if he wanted to. Levi was a bit disappointed to wake up to an empty bed, and he was shocked when he found the note and realized whom he slept with the previous night. He liked Petra, but she didn`t deserve the darkness he would inevitably bring into her life. He got dressed and decided to go end this as soon as possible.
Levi felt worse when Petra greeted him with a big smile on her face when he entered the cafe. After she got his order, Petra was about to say something about the previous night, but he cut her off and told her that she was nice, but he wasn`t looking to get into a relationship. Petra deflated instantly, but she told him she understood and didn`t bother him until he left. Levi stopped coming to the cafe after their encounter, and Petra found herself missing even the scowl he used to give her other customers. Levi`s mood got even worse to the point that even Kenny asked him if someone pissed in his tea.
Petra didn`t think much about her night with Levi until her missed period the next month forced her to. She stayed in front of the supermarket shelf for an hour before she got the courage to pick up a pregnancy test. Petra called Nifa for moral support after she took it, praying it wouldn`t be positive. Her whole world turned upside down when she found out she was pregnant with a stranger who decided he didn`t want to be part of her life. Nifa came to stay with her for a few days to offer her support while she decided if she wanted to have the baby. Petra didn`t consider Levi when she made up her mind, but she did try to find him after she decided to keep the baby. But since she only knew his first name, her search proved unfruitful.
Levi tried to keep his distance from Petra and try to forget her, but he still felt drawn to her. Seeing her was the highlight of his day, and one day, he gave in, and he only planned to watch her for a bit through the window of her cafe. Levi even gave a small smile when he got a glimpse of ginger hair, but when Petra turned around, he felt dizzy at the sight of her bump. Levi did the math, and when he realized there were high chances of him being the father, he strolled around the cafe for what felt like hours to him before he got the courage to go in.
Petra gasped when she saw Levi come through the door, especially a Levi so pale she was worried he was going to pass out in front of her. She hurried and took his hand in hers and sat him down at one of the tables, and asked someone to bring him a glass of water. After Levi calmed down, Petra confirmed that it was his baby and told him she was going to keep the baby no matter if he wanted to be involved or not. Levi cut her off and said he would be present in his child`s life without hesitance in his voice, and Petra had nothing against it. She told Levi she tried looking for him, and he apologized for making it hard on her. He decided to come clean from the start, and Levi told her everything about his background. Petra was shocked, but she told Levi she didn`t care about it and only cared about his safety. Levi asked her when he could see her again, and she told him he would find her at the cafe whenever he needed her.
The first place where Levi went after was his mother`s grave to announce that she would be a grandmother. Levi decided then and there that he wouldn`t put his child through the pain of losing his parent and made his way to Kenny`s house. Kenny choked on his saliva when Levi announced he would be a father, but the news that he wanted out of the business was not as surprising. Kenny told him he would try his best to protect them but advised him to be careful. He asked Levi to bring Petra for dinner, and Levi refused until Kenny worked on his fucking manners.
After Levi announced to Petra that he quit his criminal life, she asked him what he planned to do next. When he replied that he`s still thinking about it, Petra shyly let him know that there was an opening for a job at her cafe. Levi accepted it on the spot, eager to spend time with the mother of his child. When Petra entered the cafe and found Levi fighting with a stain on her floor, she just touched her tummy and whispered to her child that she hoped he wouldn`t inherit the cleaning freakiness from his father.
They spent their free time between customers getting to know one another, even if it mostly consisted of Levi asking Petra questions. Petra realized Levi wasn`t very talkative, but he was trying his best to be open to her, and she appreciated it. Levi decided she was a crazy woman the moment he realized she liked his toilet humor. Levi insisted to walk her home every evening, and Petra always invited him up for dinner. It became a habit for them to cook together, and most of the time, he ended up sleeping on her couch.
Levi never missed a doctor`s appointment. He was both ecstatic and terrified at the thought of being a father, and after he found out that they would be having a baby girl, he went home and spent all night reading about parenting. Levi even bought a doll so he could learn how to braid hair.
Petra`s friends were cold towards Levi at first, and after Petra convinced them that he didn`t know about the child at first, they warmed up to him. They started hanging out at her cafe after work, and Oluo especially took a liking to Levi. To Eld`s surprise, Levi asked him to hang out at the bar one evening. Levi told him he cared about Petra and that he wanted to ask her out on a date, and Eld just answered that he`s a blind bastard if he hadn`t noticed how much Petra likes him. He asked Petra out the next day, and she answered his question almost instantly.
For their first date, Levi took Petra to the diner she used to come to with her grandparents when she was little. Levi liked Petra so much he even agreed to share a milkshake with her, but still with different straws. Petra pouted when he asked her if she was ready for leaving, thinking the date would end so soon. But Levi drove outside of town, on a hill where they would get a good view of it. They laid on the hood of his car and stargazed together. When she laid her head on his shoulder, he cupped her face and kissed her. Levi told her he liked her, and she knew this was the equivalent of Levi`s "I love you". Levi asked if she would like to go on a second date with him, and she asked him if he would stop paying rent for an empty apartment and move in with her officially.

Levi, ever since he could remember himself, was lonely, neglected by life and stripped of anyone he ever cared about. The cruel unfairness of life was something he was forced to accept from the moment he came out of the womb; whilst other children had a last name to claim themselves with he was just Levi, Kuchel's bastard son.
Thinking back, life was the most unfair for his mother as well. The way he would hear men would treat her, hidden underneath her bed, or sticking his head to her door while supposedly playing with other little bastard children. Children of his fate that he couldn't remember the face of. Did anyone remember his own face? Deemed ugly, unbelievably short, dirty and incapable of being bright, that's what life had set for him from his very first breath.
Everytime he had refused to accept his fate another tragedy would curve it's way on his body and soul, staining him with little reminders of how he should sit back and crawl his way through what was simple meant to be. Indescribable gory deaths had happened before his eyes, taking any blue hue he had noticed and liked away from them. Insufferable agonies in the form of nightmares haunted him during the night, his mind didn't want to let him rest.
His heart had to become cold and hard as stone, but the humane of his nature only managed to plaster this longing of his on his face. Perhaps being human was a punishment everyone endured, whether they were born noble, loved by everyone or in a brothel, with almost no one to want them in this world.
Only two years after he had set foot and is remaining days in the Survey Corps were never certain. He was aware that it was a given profanity at his agreement to join, and egoistically he would have chose this any other day over counting down days in the underground. In that rat hole, he was expected to fall ill and possibly dead at any given time in his late twenties.
He still looked like a phantom in the mirror. Whatever concluded his being was set and done unfairly, from the way his skin was as pale as snow and so sheer that made his purple veins show practically everywhere to his lacking height caused by malnutrition and lack of sunlight. Was it the veins around his lips or the ones under his eyes that perfectly blended with his sacked under eyebags? Was it that his nose was small if looked individually but looked elongated in the context of his face? Maybe it was that he was filled with scars.
Oh, and that he looked atrocious with those dark locks in combination with light eyes.
Despite never doubting his abilities, or letting insecurities get the better of him it was in moments like this that he felt broken.
By setting his clippers down on the sink, after making sure there was no single coarse hair on them, he slipped in his usual light gray button down shirt. He didn't bother to secure any strap of his gear on him yet; it was this early in the morning that no one was probably awake yet, only him and his throbbing head, so strapping himself with the gear could easily be avoided for the time being.
The flames flickered inside his cobblestone fireplace demanding to be fed with fresh logs in exchange for his warmth. His hands worked mechanically, throwing logs I the crevice delicately careful not to fill the room in ashes. With a maneuver stir the flames roared with rage, engulfing the wood almost too pleasantly to eye. He didn't hesitate to plouch down on the wooden floor, legs crossed and hands stretched towards the newfound warmth in an attempt to ease the lingering cold of his fingers.
Usually this was the time for the first tea of the day. Under any other occasion his brain would munch on him for the lack of the hot copper liquid in his stomach, but today was different. He contemplated on weather this mere fire could ever warm up anything other than tea but he refused to seek the therapeutic feeling of hot water entering his body. If he couldn't warm up on the outside why would he put any effort to do so in the inside.
The throbbing in his head ravaged the insides of his skull with striking rushes of pain at random places. When he went to rub on his forehead his ear would screech in ache, testing to see if his patience could handle such tag game.
Refusing to soothe any part of his aching body meant that he'd have to physically suffer throughout the upcoming day. Had he been any more grumpier he would be thinking about assigning everyone with another cleaning task, nontheless it didn't fit the nature of his mood. He felt like locking himself in his office to avoid as much human interaction as possible, he wasn't social to begin with so why shouldn't he be granted some days to recharge his ability to utter anything else than a grunt.
He sighed, head falling to face the floor as his eyes were framed by his ebony locks. He seemed to despise them, today more than ever. Was it because of you? It was a question that puzzled his mind for a couple of days, eating away any spare piece of logic he was ever left with. The only thing he knew, or supposed was that this feelings were probably meant to feel like that, at least for him.
Him, who shall never enjoy a simple pleasure of life such as experiencing the feeling of falling in love and having a lover to tend to his soul's wound. Of course he had to be dense enough to let such opportunity go as only a question arose days after day he'd spent with you. Did he deserve to be loved?
Yet those days with you, those days that he cut absurdly were fidgeting with his mind in the worst way possible, trying to torment him over the memory of your face.
It had started off as a simple admiration of your combat skills. The intimidating brushes oh your skin on his everytime he chose to spare with you out of all member in his squad, the sweat that dripped off of your forehead as your eyes gleamed with the enthusiastic power gathered in your fists.
Then, it was the way your hair flipped off of your shoulder when you would wrap your camel colored jacket on your form under the lingering tingerine lights of the sun setting behind the walls. The way it bounced on your back as you gripped the reins of your horse, leaving small encouraging sounds of victory as it seceeded its training tasks. He had taken notice of how well kept your hair was, always fresh and squeaky clean as it framed your face loosely.
Levi was smitten, wrap around your little finger in the blink of an eye, his nights agonising, his days filled with you mellowy blendind in any scenery and he couldn't get you out of his head. Your affections towards him were meticulously counted at first but he had sat back down and watched as you let yourself go around him, sparring smiles and watery glances to him during meals.
Before he knew it he had found himself longing to be in your arms every single moment of the day, much like a lovestruck teenager. As much as it seemed embarrassing for a man his age to swoon and melt like a candle at the sight of such youthful and sweet woman, he couldn't help it. His loner's manners had started to abandon him in your presence, the persuasion of your soft eyes had him giving in. The sweet touches of your hand on his cheek, allowing his head to rest on your palm as he talked about the enormous work Erwin had assigned him with, curved in his head forever, replaying every time he seeked some form of comfort.
Had it not been for Mike and Hange entering his office unexpectedly that one day he had forgotten to lock, he wouldn't have been forced to leave it all behind to avoid spoiling both his and yours reputation. It haunted him; they way he longed for you as his heart clung into his chest like a prisoner, but his words to you as you cried your eyes out that sunset kept reminding him he was not deserving of anything.
When news spread like a plague in the higher ranks everyone had turned on him and seldomly to you, whispering heart rotting comments. Among them that you were no good for eachother be it due to appearances or the context of your backgrounds. Levi knew the oxymoron of those dynamics, yet why did anyone have to point them out, to make him feel smaller than he was whether it was for teasing or not, he couldn't phantom.
Not only life was unfair to him, he had to strip his own self of the only thing he had a positive effect in his life just to go back to being a what the Scouting Region wanted him to be. Humanity's Strongest. The man with no weaknesses who slaughtered the gigantic beasts with skill and determination. His heart was supposed to belong to humanity, not you, not anyone else.
It hurt. To watch you give out your beautiful giggles to someone else through his office window ached him restlessly. The imagery of your sweet affectionate movements was right before his eyes, directed to someone else this time, during those beautiful November sunsets felt like gunshots aimed anywhere in his vital organs.
You had fallen for someone else, those were the news going around the squad lately. Petra bubbled enthusiastically about Gunther's encounters with you in the small alleyways of Trost on your day offs. Eld would scold you for dressing up appropriately for your dates and Oluo would miserably immitate him, giving you playful comments about reeking shit while biting his tongue. As Petra had informed him, his affiliations with you unbeknownst to her or any other cadet in the picture, Gunther was treating you perfectly, almost too good to be true. Something that made his heart fall into pits of darkness, all masked safely by his humane flesh and skeleton combines.
Would anyone ever treat you like he did? With such serenity? He knew, despite how short lived your fling had ever been, there would never be anyone like him in your life. And for that he had to be the one to punish himself. His fate would be pleased if he turned on himself wouldn't it?
Upon hearing the knock on his door, his mouth automatically spat the familiar inquiry on the knocker's intentions. It felt deaf to his ears; his mind was working on its own while he forced it to torment him with more what ifs. As his fingers brushed brushed underneath his nostril to scratch away any awkwardness that had gathered in the spot with a buzzing feeling.
"It's cadet (L/n) sir" he heard you yelp as you paused, unsure of what to say next. "Personal business if you don't mind!"
When you entered at his command, his eyes didn't dare to spend a second fixated on your bouncing locks. Instead they blinked into your (e/c) ones, staring at the melancholic expression that was plastered on them. Lower on your face, your lip trembled, teeth biting hard not to allow it to show but your efforts had already fell into vain as he quickly noticed it.
He hadn't realised you weren't sitting on the chair before his desk until he got up from his position on the ground, eyes immediately noticing you in his usual spot. You were curled up in a ball with your knees fitted to your eye sockets, silently suppressing what seemed to be the start of a brawling session as he sat there and watched, not daring to touch your back with his hand.
What had happened so early in the morning that had sent you in his office? The two of you weren't much on talking terms nowadays, a restriction he had forced on you from the day that he ended your shared endearments. As potential scenarios chewed on his thoughts your whimpers only grew louder and harsher.
"Don't you dare ask why I'm crying!" You spoke, small hiccups leaving the back of your throat as each time it roared with another wave of sorrow.
"It could be helpful to know."
His steel eyes never met yours as he spoke with his typical steady voice, although this time he had tried to take any nasal sound away from it.
"You're the reason I can't have anything work for me. Gunther said so himself." Another crashing wave of sobs overcame you and he watched frozen, unable to do anything just yet. Confirmation on your status had to be spoken, he wouldn't love to be touchy with another man's woman even if ever cell in his body ached for her.
"You're achingly beautiful, my heart will forever be yours and you knew it. Gunther' isn't fit to be a replacement for you. You get to be the one who comforts me for this breakup, for our breakup up, I can't talk about that shit with anyone else. You're all I ever had and you left me to pretend to be that weapom they want you to be." He had expected you to winch, to flinch or have any negative reaction to his touch on the back of your head, he had prepared himself for it, he had planned the words he'd say but such a reaction never came. You only have in to his lingering touch, hand reaching out for his in an attempt to pull him close.
He didn't feel the pain of his knees hitting the wooden floor as he coarsed you to his neck in full might, he ignored the heart that beat fast at the sound of you admitting you weren't over him, he chewed back at the thoughts that mocked you for calling him achingly beautiful.
The fidgeting of your fingers on the button of his shirt served as an action of your nervousness but all he could care about was that he could feel your heart beating at the right side of his chest almost in synch with his.
"I'm here." He soothed, one hand running through your soft locks as the other one pressed you to his chest. "I'm sorry" he admitted. Whether it was too late was up to your heart's desire to decide.
"You better be." You sniffled the goo that threatened to fall on his shirt.
"You should know by now. I can't bear to watch you thrive with anyone. Tch, I'm a smug runt myself for that."
He fell in silence as you tried to give into his caring comfort. It all felt too familiar, too rushed and too bitterweet to be real. He blinked at the thought and slightly bit his tongue to confirm he wasn't sleeping.
"I thought we belonged together, I thought... I thought I found something in you that was mine."
As your eyes brawled with hit tears once again your fists came to clench onto his shirt. There were distinguishable pauses in your crying; rashes of unspoken pain inside your chest that burned you to think about. It was all too familiar of a feeling to him and it only ever made him press you impossibly closer to his form.
"If it helps, I did so too."
It's only when your face lifts up for your wide eyes to look into his that he realises how much you've cried. Despite the practical darkness of the room your eyes are obviously bloodshot, painted with agony as they burn holes onto his skin, making him shut his in defense of his soul.
"I miss you so much and I can't sleep at night. I can't look at anyone and pretend they are you, they all see through this. I still love you and it hurts. I don't want it to hurt, Levi." Your confessions striked that particular nerve in him that made him numb, frozen on the spot, dumfounded over your words. Had he knew he'd be the reason that love pains you he would have never lead you on, he would have never looked at you with small looks of adoration as you ride your horse's together and most importantly he would have never let his filthy lips touch your angelic ones.
But he didn't find it in him to regret any of his actions.
Not now, not when his lips were begging him to be interlocked with the only pair then had declaired a match.
"I know I came here all of a sudden but it's been nights I haven't slept and I can't do this anymore. J-just hold me and once the sun is out I won't bother you anymore." Even if you tried to speak that nonsense with him you should have known better that it wouldn't work. He could already see the faint purples in the horizon, glazing over the glass of his windows as they lightened by every passing moment.
He knew why you were in his arms, he knew that pushing you away was never an option either. Thus, his hands came to rest under your face your face to tenderly direct it to his. His mouth opened but the words that he spoke took hours, years, eons to come out.
"What if I told you that I still love you, what would you say? Would you press your lips on mine and want to start over?" He inquired as he swallowed the hard lamp that had gathered in his Adams apple. "Would you speak your words in actions?"
The first light of the sky protruded behind the mountains, spreading a yellow light evenly around the sky. As you nodded and tugged your head close enough that your nose touched, your lips faintly brushed against each other's and his heart sped in unimaginable paces.
In the moment he wasn't a doomed underground ugly thug, his nose wasn't misplaced on the context of his head. He wasn't just Kuchel's bastard son that everyone wanted dead. He was that part that you had claimed as yours.
Small victories against his fate didn't always leave him hollow with unbearable loss after all.
My requests are always open, if you want to drop anything I'd be more than happy to write what you want ❤️

Why do I love Levi Ackerman so much?
There are plenty of reasons I love Levi and they're not as shallow as He's So Hot aNd BadaSs. I love his character because despite everything he's been through he never gave up.
First, he's a fatherless boy born in the Underground. A penurious, unsanitary, crime-ridden hole. Basically, the worst of society gathered in one place. And our precious boy was born here, surrounded by poverty and unhealthy conditions, without the right to feel the sun caressing his skin, bereft of his citizenchip and his last name. (Kuchel kept it a secret to protect him from the Ackerman persecution) Hence, dreams and goals were an unaffordable luxury for him.
Then, all he managed to earn in his life was taken away. Kuchel, Kenny, Farlan, Isabel, his squad, his comrades, Erwin, all the people he shared a special bond with just vanished, yet he kept fighting. He kept fighting for them and their dreams. (since he didn't have one on his own) I know many fans were not content with SNK ending, but Levi, at least for me, got a good closure. (Thank you Isayama for not killing our short king). He got to live a peaceful life in Marley it seems, and now he has the time to discover the world he was missing inside the walls, like new advances in technology, new places, languages, cultures and even new tea blends :). I know he's not in his best physical condition, but hey! he's not invincible, he's human after all.
Anyway, I love Levi because behind that stoic, expressionless facade; and ruthless, ill-mannered demeanor, he's actually very caring and protective, putting everyone before him. He also deeply cares about children. Remember when he supported Historia with the orphanage for the underground kids since he didn't want them to go through the same hell he'd been through. Also, the expression on his face when he spotted that woman in Trost with child in arms, I know he was thinking of his mother and himself. Plus, during the rumbling he protected Gaby too. I believe he holds a special place in his heart for children, not only due to his harsh childhood, but because of Kuchel. I mean, he was loved by his mother since the moment she decided to keep him despite her job, the bad conditions, and the objections coming from Kenny. She still chose to bring him to this world and raise him on her own. Wherever she is now, I'm certain she's proud of his son's achievements and is still looking after him. :')
Finally, I'm so glad he made it to the end of the series; sadly, it seems he didn't get to open his tea shop. (Honestly, I wanted to see that)
OUR BEAUTIFUL SOLDIER BOY DESERVES THE WORLD.
____________________________________________________________
That's just my humble opinion on him. I'm sure I left many things out because of my shitty memory, though.

Crown Jewels. Part Two.

Tumblr media
“I can’t just leave here, Levi.” Y/n says while holding his hand, taking it away from her face. “Yes! Yes you can!” The duo turns to the jumpy voice which belonged to Nanaba. “I mean, Didi I will take care of the shop. You deserve a break.” Nanaba says as she puts her hands behind her back. Y/n laughs and Levi smiles a bit. She faces Levi and crosses her arms. “I don't where you’re going to take me, but if this “serendipity” is as good as I think it is, I might consider saying yes.” She says and Levi raises his eyebrow. “ “Consider”?”
He asks and she nods. “I don’t know you, Levi. Regardless of you being a prince, I’m not going to just run off with a complete stranger!” She exclaims. “Understandable. So, let’s get to know each other.” Levi grins and holds his hand out, palm facing upwards. Y/n glances between his hand and face. She doesn’t answer and Levi rests his elbow on the counter.
“Trust me when I say that I’m not leaving here until you agree.” Levi tells her and she scoffs. “You really are something, you know that? Tell me why so many girls are swooning over you again?” She teases and he puts on a thinking face. “Probably the same reason why we almost kissed just now.” He remarks and she gasps, putting her hand over his mouth. “Shh. What if my father heard you?” She asks, panicking. Her body was close to his now. If he wanted, he would wrap an arm around her waist and bring her closer but instead he just smiles underneath her hand and lays a gentle kiss on her palm.
She gasps softly and pulls away, only for Levi to take her Punjabi shawl from her neck. It was a lovely shade of red and he wrapped it around his hand. “Hey!” She pours as he pulls his hand away from her grasp and she glares at him. It was almost as good as his. “You’re very weird, Y/n.” Levi tells her and her mouth gapes like a fish. “What??” She asks, offended and he chuckles lowly. “I don’t know what it is about you. Making a prince’s heart beat like this.” He says and takes her hand and places it over his heart. “I barely know you and you did this. Now imagine if I knew you, inside and out. What could you do to me then?” The way he said it like it was the most unromantic thing in the world. But his eyes. Those steel blue eyes held every single word in them and Y/n was mesmerized by them. She was at a loss for words. Who would’ve thought that Para’s most wanted bachelor was such a sweet talker.
“L-Levi.” She stutters and he shakes his head. “You don’t need to say anything. I’ll be back. Keep this for me.” He takes off a bracelet and ties it around her wrist. It was a gold snake with blue jewels that shimmered with every movement. It looked freakin expensive. And Y/n panicked.
“No, Levi. This looks way too important for a mere villager to take.” Y/n tells him and he clicks his tongue. “You’re not just a villager. Not to me at least. Bye, Y/n. Take care of that for me.”
Levi whispers and leaves the shop, leaving Y/n shocked at what just happened.
“I think he likes you.” Nanaba says and stands next to her sister. “I...I…” Y/n stutters, clearly dumbfounded at this prince. All Nanaba does is laugh loudly and Y/n slaps the back of her head. “Shut up.”
~~~~
Levi smirks as he rides back to the palace. The bright red shawl flew in the wind but he held tighter than he had ever held anything before. It had her smell. Her unique scent of mixtures of tea. Erwin welcomed Levi into the stables and he jumped off his horse. “Levi. How was your trip to the town?” Erwin asks while Levi petted his horse's mane. “Fine.” He answers and Erwin smiles as he looks at the bright red in the prince’s hand. Erwin knew better than to ask. It’s not like he didn’t know already. That girl in the shop they had visited caught Levi’s attention which, to Erwin, was quite a shocker. No girl had been able to do so.
The girls that had been interested in Levi were princesses from neighboring countries. All were just after his name and wealth. But Y/n. Erwin knew that she wasn’t interested in all of that. If she was, she would have spoken in a much flirtier manner with Farlan and Levi than just ask what they wanted.
“Is the palace preparing for Holi?” Levi asks and Erwin nods. “Yes. Your mother is making it extra special for Raja and the welcoming of Isabel.” Erwin says and Levi looks around. “Are we inviting people this year?” Levi questions. “I’m not too sure, your majesty. I highly doubt so.” Erwin replies. Levi thinks for a while and finally comes to a conclusion.
“Thank you. Tell me when dinner is ready. I’ll be in my room.” Levi tells Erwin and Erwin bows. Levi walks through the palace and into his chambers and goes straight to his wardrobe. Never did he think that he would celebrate Holi like this.
~~~~
“Y/n! Come quickly! The powders are selling fast!” Y/n’s dad calls for her as he sells each bag of color powder.
Holi was finally here. The village was beaming with colors and many people were laughing and enjoying this special day. Y/n hadn’t seen Levi for days. It made her shake her head at her expectations. Why would he keep his word? Not like she was anyone to him regardless of him saying otherwise. A prince wouldn’t waste their time on a mere pauper.
“Yes! Coming!” She answers and walks to her father. He looked at her twice and smiled at what she was wearing.
A white Punjabi. But not any Punjabi. It was her mother’s. “How do I look, papa?” She asks and tears pricked his eyes and he kisses her forehead. “Just like her. Now hurry and sell these so you can go celebrate.” He tells her and they both work. Nanaba comes down and also helps when she looks out and sees the colors being thrown. “Didi. It’s starting. Let’s go!” She says and Y/n looks at her dad. “Go. There’s a little left here. I’ll handle it. Be careful.” He kisses both of his daughters goodbye and they hug him back.
“HOLI HAI!!”
The crowd chants and everyone is having a blast. Levi walked down the stairs where many people walked in and out preparing. He looked at the entrance and saw Farlan walking in with Isabel on his arm. “Farlie. I’m so scared. What if they don’t like me?” She whispers to Farlan who punches her cheek then kisses it. “Stop it, Bel. They already love you. And look. There’s Levi.” He points to his brother and Levi walks down to them and hugs Isabel. “Welcome to the family, Isabel.” He says and Isabel looks at Levi. “You knew too?! How did everyone know except for me?” She asks, making them laugh. “Farlan?” A kind voice rings through the place and Farlan looks up to see his mother and father walk down the stairs. “Ma. Papa.” He greets and touches their feet. “We’re glad you made it home safe.” The king says and looks at the girl who stood nervously. “Is this..?” He asks and Farlan nods while looking at her. “Ma. Papa. This is Isabel. My soon to be wife.” Farlan says and holds out his hand for Isabel, telling her to come.
She walks slowly to Farlan and takes his hand. “Greetings, Raja. Greetings, Rani.” Isabel says and touches their feet, but Kuchel and the king both stop her. “Welcome to the family, Isabel. Come. Let us celebrate Holi together.” The king says and Isabel smiles widely. “Is there laddu?” She asks abruptly and quickly covers her mouth. Kuchel only laughs and takes her hands. “I made extra just for you. Farlan told me how much you love sweetmeats. Come.” She takes Isabel and wraps her arms around the girls shoulders. “Levi? You coming?” Farlan asks and Levi shakes his head. “I have Holi to celebrate somewhere else.” He says and bids farewell to Farlan. He smirks to himself and goes to join Isabel. “Where’s Levi, Farlan?” Kuchel asks and he shrugs sitting down. “I don't know. You know how he is.”
Y/n looked around and saw how everyone threw colors and water. She avoided getting caught multiple times, mostly because her mind was preoccupied with the thought of a certain man. She walked with Nanaba as she twirls the bracelet on her wrist. “Come on, Didi. Stop being so glum.” Nanaba elbows Y/n’s side and she winced. “I’m not glum, Nana. Just annoyed.” Y/n replies and looks ahead. “Well stop being annoyed because,” Nanaba takes some green powder and throws it on her sister, “IT’S HOLI!” She shouts and Y/n gasps. “You little-!” She yells and runs after Nanaba. The powder of every single color was thrown in the air and Y/n chuckled to herself.
Y/n walked down stairs and when she reached the bottom, she stopped dead in her tracks.
Levi stood there with a pure white shirt and black pants. He was clean, meaning not an ounce of color went on him. Y/n breathed heavily as she tried to catch her breath and look composed at the same time.
“You.”
Y/n said and Levi leaned against the wall and looked at her. “What about me?” Levi asks and Y/n scoffs and looks away. “I didn’t think you’d come back.” She says and glances at him. He frowns and pushes off the wall and walks to her. “I did say that I will be back. Didn't i?” He says and she looks back at him. “I didn’t know you would keep your word.” Y/n spits out, clearly annoyed. Levi begins to walk around her, eyeing her up and down.
“I am a man of my word, Y/n. When I say something, I mean it. When I say I’ll do something, I do it.” Levi commented, making Y/n roll her eyes. “Oh whatever, Levi. Why are you here anyway? Doesn’t the palace have this big celebration for Holi every year?” Y/n asked when Levi stopped in front of her. “Yes. They do. But I don’t. My parents are into all of that. But I wanted to celebrate with you.” He charms and Y/n turns her head away, avoiding his sparkling eyes. “Why?” Levi quirks an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”
“Levi,” she begins, “I’m not anyone someone like you would be interested in. I’m poor. I support my family for as long as I can and however I can where you..” she drifts off and he urges her to carry on. “Where I..am a royal who has everything done for them, correct?” He completes her question and subtly nods. “Tch.” Levi scoffs and Y/n sighs. “Yeah. Thought so.” She concludes and begins to walk away.
Suddenly, her hand is caught by his and he pulls her into him, their chests touching. She looks at Levi and he smirks. Lifting his hand, he wipes the red colored powder on her cheek and across her lips. “Don’t think of my interest in you as some charity event. You’re the only woman who made me act like this. I don’t care about the differences in our lives. Prince or not, I still would’ve been here with you.” He whispers against her cheek. Y/n closed her eyes as his hands made their way to her hair, untangling it and opening it.
When she opened her eyes, Levi kissed her forehead and her nose. They stayed like that until Y/n smiled and threw her green powder on him. He stepped back and smirked. “ITS STILL HOLI, LEVI!” She shouts as she runs away from him, laughing. “Brat.” He mumbles and grabs colors on his way to her. Y/n runs through the crowd, looking back to see Levi catching up to her. She dodged people and walked through alleyways but Levi followed her. Almost no one recognized him, since he wasn’t in his normal attire. He didn’t want the unwanted attention. He only wanted Y/n’s.
“Get back here!” Levi shouts to her and she laughs. “No! You’re going to have to catch me, Rajkumar!!” She teases and throws more color on him. “Shit.” He chuckles and he reaches out and grabs her shawl. Y/n still continues to run, through buildings and in between stalls. He almost lost her but he saw her h/c flow and he ran to her.
He chased her all the way out of the village to a nearby river where Y/n was catching her breath. Levi quietly moved behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist and twirled her around. “Caught you.” He whispers in her ear and she giggles. “Yeah, yeah. You won.” She mutters and he sets her down. Y/n quickly threw a few more colors on him and Levi stood there, letting her do what she wanted. “You done?” He asks and she shakes his head. In her little pouch on her hip, she took out red and wiped it on his face and down his neck. “Now I am.” She finishes and smiles at him.
Y/n looks around and sees the river. She leans down and begins to wash her hands and Levi sits next to her. Y/n looked at him while Levi looked up at the sky, exposing his bare throat. Biting her lip, she cups some water in her hands and pours it down his shirts. “Ah. Damn, Y/n.” He shivers and looks at Y/n who was laughing. “You didn't even react! What are you?!” She giggles out and he rolls his eyes. “I’m not one that feels anything. I don’t know if it’s an Ackerman thing but pain and stuff doesn’t bother me.” He says as his shirt begins to dampen. Nodding, Y/n spills more on his shirt and he glares at her. “You’re going to regret it if you continue, brat.” He threatens and Y/n smiles as she continues. “Try me, royal.” She teases and he wakes up and throws water on her.
The water fight escalated and Y/n slipped on mud and almost fell into the river but was quickly caught and pulled into Levi, who fell on the ground with her on top. “Well this seems familiar.” He says as he rests his hand on her waist and one behind his head. She laughs and slaps his chest. “You’re such an idiot.” Y/n remarks and Levi hums.
A slight breeze flows and Y/n shivers as her eyes begin to close. “Cold?” He asks and she nods. “Just a little. Levi,” she walks up from his chest and looks at him, “it’s getting late. We should go. And it looks like it’s about to rain.” She continues and looks up at the sky. Grey clouds formed, a big difference from the bright blue sky from earlier. “So?” He asks and she tilts her head. “Levi. Your family must be worried about you.” She sighs and walks up. But Levi had her shawl wrapped around her waist and he pulled her back into him, making her squeal. “You’re beautiful.” Levi suddenly says and she feels her face burn up. “If you continue saying those things, people might think we’re together.” Y/n warns and Levi scoffs. “Let them. At least something would be true.” He replies and Y/cups his cheek. “You really are something, Levi.” She leans down and kisses his red-stained cheek.
Thunder sounded and Y/n flinched and hid in Levi’s chest. He chuckles softly and holds her tightly. “Be mine, Y/n.” It sounded more like a statement than a question and Y/n tore away from his grasp and sat up, facing the river. He frowned but woke up and sat next to her. “I, don’t know, Levi. Do you know how complicated our lives will be? Your life will be? We live on two different ends of society and I can only imagine what your family will say about me.” She exhales and holds her head in her hands. Levi didn’t want to say anything. He just let her say whatever she had been holding in her heart for what seemed like years.
“It scares me.” She whispers and sniffs. “It terrifies me that I like you because my whole life, I’ve been working so hard for my family. I wanted to stay with them and take care of them ever since my mother passed. She was our rock. Our glue that held us together and after she left, I had to take care of everyone. It’s been like that for more than a decade. And then you come along,” she looks up at Levi’s face and smiles, “and made me feel all of this.” She concludes and Levi smiles. He grabs her waist and pulls her onto his lap while he holds her mendhi covered hands. “I’m sorry. For your loss, for having to take the responsibility of a family at such a young age. You didn’t deserve that. So let me take you and show all the things that you missed out. Please?” He asks as they both feel droplets of rain fall. Y/n smiled shyly and hugged his neck. “Ok. But take me home first.” She giggles and Levi hugs her back. “Yeah. I don’t want your father to kill me.” “Trust me. It’s my sister you have to be afraid of.” “Yeah?” “Yeah. She almost killed a boy once.” “You have to tell me that story one day but now,” Levi wakes up with Y/n still in his arms, “let’s get you home before you get sick on me.” Levi teases and Y/n pouts.
After a long walk with rain pouring down, Levi brought Y/n back home and stood by the door. As Y/n dried her hair and Punjabi, she looked at Levi who had his hands in his pockets. “Do you..want to come in? For some tea? It will warm you up.” She proposes and Levi quirks his eyebrows. “Are you sure?” He asks and she scoffs. “If I wasn’t, I wouldn’t ask, Levi.” Y/n tells him and he smirks. “Fair enough.” He responds and walks to her and she brings him inside. It was dark, since everything was closed. Y/n lit a lamp and looked at Levi who’s eyes glanced around before falling on her. “Come.” She tells him and takes his hand. He looks down and sees his bracelet he gave her. He wanted to say something but chose to remain quiet. Nothing needed to be said anyway.
Y/n took Levi upstairs and looked around. “Huh. Looks like everyone is asleep.” She whispers and looks at Levi. “Let’s go to my room. We won’t disturb anyone that way.” She leads him to her room and Levi really was enjoying being dragged around by her. When they entered her room, it was a reasonable size but it had a few leakages in the roof. Y/n let’s go off his hand and go to put the lamp in the middle of the room. “Sorry for the mess.” She mumbled as she was cleaning up. Levi instantly stopped her and sat on her bed. “It’s ok. Don’t apologize.” He tells her and she smiles. “Let me make your tea. I’ll be back.” She wakes up and goes to boil the water. Levi sat and looked around. He saw her books and novels and woke up to check them.
He was fascinated by the books she had. All were about harvesting, some autobiographies, tea. “A tea book?” He asks himself and opens to look through it. He saw her little notes on the sides and smiled to himself.
Y/n came in after a few minutes with a tray with a teapot and cups. She puts them on a little table and looked at Levi. “Oh. You found the tea book.” She comments and walks to him. “It’s very interesting. Mind if I borrow it?” He asks. “Not at all. I actually don’t need it anymore. Come. Have some.” She says and pours the tea in a cup. “Sugar?” He shakes his head and sips the tea and sighs in content. “It’s amazing, Y/n. Unlike anything I’ve ever tasted.” He looks at her while she smiles. “Thank you. Oh! You’re soaking. Wait here.” She quickly wakes up and gets a towel for him. Y/n also got another shirt for him and placed it next to him. “It’s an old shirt. But please use it. You’re going to get sick.” Y/n tells him and wipes his face and hair. Levi puts his cup down and holds her hands. “You’re also soaking, Y/n.” He comments as he looks at her wet Punjabi which stuck to her body.
“O-Oh. Yeah. I’ll go and change.” She whispers and her and Levi don’t move. It feels nice to have someone this close who makes you feel so happy inside. Levi cups her cheek and moves her closer to his face. She doesn’t stop him, her heart telling her to kiss him. “Y/n..” he breathes out and Y/n gulps. “Y-Yes?” She answers and he bites his lip. “Can I..?” He leaves the unspoken words in the air, knowing she knew what he was going to ask. She nods and Levi pulls her in for a kiss. It’s soft and they both molded into each other like clay. Y/n’s hands made their way to his shoulders and his around her waist. They both back onto the bed and Y/n pulled away. They both panted as their chest heaved. The only sound filling the room was the sound of rain and thunder. Her eyes were locked onto his and Levi moved up and captured her lips again. She tasted so good. It was long before he got addicted to her. “L-Levi.” Y/n pants as his lips made their way to her neck. Her blouse was in the way but it was low cut so he took advantage of that and kissed her chest and marked her.
Y/n leaned down and kissed all around his face. Forehead, cheek, nose and his lips once again. When they both pulled away, she smiled at him and he returned it. It was too late to turn back now.

Hey!! I love your work so much, and I've become very invested in "I love the man that you are"
I'd love to see a part two, are you planning to write that? It would be lovely to know how levi goes while working alongside reader
Don't feel pressured to respond or to write a part two <3
Happy to make a part 2! He's a wonderful man and he deserves the world. We're gonna make this all cute and sweet with the marriage, working together and a mini Levi child.
Tumblr media
I love the man that you are part 2
Pairing: Levi x reader
Genre and tags: love, being in love, developing relationships, post-war Levi, living in Marley, Levi is learning to love, the child is mini Levi, happy good vibes, cannon world post manga, married life.
Concept: You and Levi have been together for a while and he's learning how to let himself be loved by you. The two of you make sets in your relationship, like running a tea and bakery shop together, getting married and having children. Each step is a big one for Levi because he doesn't think it's deserved, but you are his rock through everything and his supporter.
Levi watched you like a hawk as you moved about the bakery. "Can I help?"
You lifted a box, then carried it over to him. "I'm okay, sweetheart."
Levi blushed at the pet name. "Tch, brat."
You placed the box on the table next to him. "I got you something and I think you'll like it."
Levi moved his wheelchair to face the table. Today was a bad day for his knee, so he felt a little defeated. He let out a long sigh and looked at the box. "Okay."
You opened it up, then jumped up and down. "Look at them!" You tilted the box so Levi could see. "Ta-da!"
Levi's eyes widened as he stared at the name on the bag for tea. He picked it up, then smiled softly. He ran his fingers gently over the name. "Kuchel." He fought his tears. "You did this for me?"
You nodded. "Well, I might have read your tea notebook and saw you designed one for your mother. So, I asked a company to brand bags for me to put your tea in. We'll make the tea and place it in these special bags. I've made some nice lemon squares to pair with it and I was thinking that maybe half of the proceeds go to helping women in sex work."
Levi started shaking as tears filled his eyes, then he dropped the bag on the floor. "I..."
You knelt in front of him. "Levi. Oh, I'm so sorry Levi. I took it too far."
Levi shook his head and sniffed. "No."
You panicked. "Oh! Do you need your medicine?" You shot up and ran for your bag. "I'll get it for you."
He pushed himself up onto shaky legs, then he limped over to you as you searched your bag. He called your name, then grabbed your arm and pulled it out of your bag. "Stop."
You looked at Levi. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be." He wrapped his arms around you. "Don't be sorry for what you did for me. I was in shock, but I'm really happy. Thank you. You've done something so wonderful for me."
You sighed and relaxed in Levi's arms. "I was so scared then." You hugged Levi tightly. "It'd kill me if I ever hurt you or upset you."
Levi smiled softly and your kindness and love. "I still don't think I deserve you but thank you so much."
"It's a pleasure." You pulled back. "Now get back to your wheelchair. You have a bad knee today."
Levi sighed. "It's not my fault I have a bad knee."
You folded your arms. "Oh yeah? Then who was it that wanted to go for round three last night in bed? I asked you if your knee was going to be alright and you told me it'd be fine."
Levi blushed, then rubbed the back of his neck and looked away. He pouted a little. "Your fault for being addictive and cute."
You let out a long sigh, then guided Levi back to his chair. "I swear you are getting worse. You used to be so shy about your body and nervous about how you'd perform in bed, but now you are unstoppable."
Levi sat in his chair, then watched you walk away and enjoyed your bum. "Being in a chair some days isn't so bad."
You looked back at him. "Hey, eyes up here."
"Can't help it. You're in my line of sight."
You sighed, then made a cup of tea for you and him. You grabbed a lemon square for you and him, then brought it all over to the table. "We're testing everything out tonight and if you like it, then we'll start selling tomorrow. Is the charity okay?"
Levi nodded. "It's perfect." He frowned when you pulled out a chair next to him. "What are you doing?"
"Sitting."
He shook his head and patted his lap. "You know very well where your seat is, brat."
You hummed a laugh, then sat on his lap. "I am sorry, I forgot for a moment." You handed him his tea, then you picked up yours. "Let's try your Kuchel tea." You sipped it and hummed in delight. "So good. It's so light, floral and sweet. Yet, it's not overpowering. It makes you smile and feel warm inside."
"I'm glad you like it."
You nodded and picked up a lemon square. "You made it well. I can tell you put your whole heart into it."
Levi smiled softly. "I did."
You offered him the square. "Open up."
Levi blushed, then opened his mouth and ate what you offered. He hummed in delight and smiled. "It's so good."
You kissed him and put his square down. "I know you love lemon and you smell like lemon and honey a lot of the time, so I thought I'd make lemon squares. So, people have mother and son together in the name of charity."
Levi smiled. "I really don't deserve you."
You pinched his cheek and wiggled. "Stop saying that. This isn't a matter of deserving. We're together because we love each other. Simple." You put yours and Levi's teacups on the table, then threw your legs over the arm of his chair and wrapped your arms around his neck. "I'm not leaving you, ever."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Levi limped into the back of the bakery where you were and smiled at you in a cute apron with your hair messily tamed. He frowned when he saw your wedding ring was not on your finger. "Tch, oi brat!"
You jumped at Levi's tone. You placed your hand on your chest. "Goodness, you scare me Levi." You laughed, then walked over to him and kissed him. "Is everything alright up front?"
Levi grabbed your left wrist and lifted your hand. "Where is it?"
You hummed a laugh, you thought Levi was so cute and sweetly possessive of you. "It's in my apron pocket." You pulled out your wedding ring from your pocket and showed him. "I put it in there while I'm baking so it doesn't get dirty. I'm protecting it because it's precious to me."
Levi let your wrist go, then he hugged you. "Sorry. I just got worried."
You rubbed his back. "I'm with you for life."
"Me too."
You pulled away and carried on baking. "So, how can I help you?"
He stared at you, then realised why he'd come in here. "Ah, the lemon squares are running low. They're in high demand and so is my tea. Could you make some more?"
You nodded. "Of course. Do you want to help me? I'm sure my front of house staff are alright without you there."
Levi smiled a little. "Yeah, I'd love to help."
You grabbed him an apron, then tied it on him. "Sorry it's a cute one."
"I don't mind at all, because it's your apron and I get to wear something that's yours."
You stared at him and slowly blushed. "You are too cute." You kissed him. "Wedding ring off."
He pouted and pulled it off. "Worse part."
"I know." You patted his bum. "Go wash your hands and I'll get everything we need out."
Levi did everything you asked of him, then he stood waiting for your command. "You're so pretty."
You smiled and handed him a few things. "Thank you. If you're saying all this to get kisses from me, then you're doing very well."
Levi smiled as he felt exicted and proud that he was getting kisses as rewards. "Great."
You and Levi worked together the whole afternoon just baking together. You taught him everything and he soaked it up all with a spark in him. You had never been loved as much as Levi loved you. It was really breath taking how he gazed at you. You would often get flustered by his actions because when you met him he was a shy guy, but now he was very filled with love and wasn't afraid to hug you from behind, steal a kiss or just straight up grab your bum.
You left Levi in the kitchen to clean as you talked to your staff at the end of the working day. You sent them off with words and goodbyes, then you locked up and started the cleaning routine that was up to Levi's standards. You made sure the front was all perfect and everything that couldn't be out front was moved to the back. You checked on Levi to make sure he was okay and he was in his element.
You walked up behind Levi and hugged him with a happy hum. "You smell so good."
Levi blushed a little. "Thank you." He placed his hand on yours. "But you smell so much nicer."
You rubbed his pec. "How's cleaning going?"
"I've finished."
You let him go, then stood at his side and leaned your hip against the counter. "You do love cleaning, huh?" You slipped your ring back on in front of him. "I love that about you."
Levi grabbed you, then lifted you up onto the counter making you gasp in surprise. "I love you."
You blushed. "Levi, you shouldn't have lifted me like that. You might hurt yourself."
He placed his hands on the counter on either side of your hips, then leaned close to your lips. "You're not heavy. You're light."
"Levi..."
He kissed you. "Don't you dare say something mean about yourself. I won't allow it. Husband rules."
You linked your arms around his neck. "Fine. I won't say anything about it." You smiled at him. "Just be careful with your knee and you have two missing fingers on your right hand."
He showed you that part of his fingers were there. "Not fully gone, but enough that I can't use them on you."
You snorted a laugh. "Pervert."
"Not a pervert." He kissed your neck, then slowly ran his lips up to your ear. "I just really love my wife."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You held your son's little hands as he stomped his feet on the wooden floor at your house. He was your perfect little one year old and a perfect copy of Levi from his cuteness down to his chubby cheeks. You were helping him walk about after a little bird who'd gotten into the house. You and Levi had cared for the birds so much, that they would sometimes come inside for food and a pet. You held your son's hands so he wouldn't hurt the bird by accident.
Levi limped into the kitchen to see what a beautiful sight you were with his son. "He loves the birds, huh?"
You looked over to Levi. "Hey honey! How was the doctors? I should have come with you."
He limped closer. "I know you wanted to, but it was just a quick check-up. Plus, I love coming home to you two."
You smiled at him. "What a sweetheart you are." You crouched down by your little cute boy. "Erwin? Daddy's home."
Erwin turned and looked at Levi, then lifted his arms and ran to him. "Daddy."
Levi picked up his son and smiled in pride at his son, and the fact he manged to pick him up easily. Levi was so scared when you told him you were pregnant that he wouldn't be able to be a typical father to his kids because of his injuries, but he seemed to be doing okay and getting stronger by the day. He wanted to badly to get strong because he wanted to protect the last two good things in his life. He hoped to have more kids, because he had so many more names for them. He knew he'd call his daughter after the greatest smart woman he'd ever known, Hange. It was no brainer when you had a boy that he wanted him to be called Erwin and you happily agreed.
Levi smiled at his son and tickled his cheek. "You running circles around your mummy?"
You hummed a laugh. "He's not. He just acts like you and follows me everywhere. When I put him in his little pen or seat so I can work, clean or cook he just watches me. I swear I've given birth to your double."
Levi looked down at his son and saw what you meant. His little boy looked just like him when he was a kid, he even had that same deadpan look in his eyes that Levi normally had, but when he noticed you he lit up in delight like Levi would. "He's adorable, but you are right. It's like looking at my past."
You walked over and played with Erwin's raven hair. "He's my sweet little baby bird." You kissed his puffy cheek and smiled at his cute giggle. "I just wanna cuddle him all the time." You kissed Levi and smiled. "You too." You sighed. "So, what did the doctor say?"
Levi limped to a set in the kitchen, then sat with Erwin on his lap. "That my knee is getting even better. He says the limp will probably never go." He frowned a little. "He said I might be able to get prosthetic fingers. I saw two testers. I could have wooden, or metal."
You made two cups of tea and a drink for your son. You brought it all to the table as you thought. "Well, it's whatever you would prefer."
Levi helped Erwin with his drink. "Maybe metal. I think metal will last longer and it might feel nice for you."
You blushed bright red. "Levi."
He glanced over at you. "I meant for when we hold hands. Why, what were you thinking?"
You narrowed your eyes at him. "You know you can't lie to me. You were being dirty."
He hummed a laugh. "I was." He looked at his right hand. "On a serious note. I'm going to go for it. Having fake fingers will help me so much and help you. I'll be able to do a lot more than normal."
You reached over and held his right hand. "I'll support you no matter what. I love you for everything that you are, you know that."
Levi smiled and squeezed your hand. "I know you do." He lifted you hand and kissed it. "I love everything you are as well. You gave me so much hope and life. After the war, I really thought it was over for me. I was so empty and sad, but you made it all wonderful and bright. Thank you."
"Don't thank me. Thank yourself for being so handsome, kind, smart, funny and lovable." You leaned over and kissed him.

Do you think levi will d** in the end?
Hi buddy! :)
Well Levi and the d word is really something..
Tbh i don’t know...
Levi being considered the strongest soldier of humanity thanks to his physical and moral strength always puts him in contradiction with the countless deaths in this manga.
Frankly, Isayama has made a massacre in his characters since the beginning of the manga.
It's really hard to ask myself if Levi will disappear in the end, if we count on the fact that only one side has to win, that is, the Alliance against Eren, then if Eren wins 100%, then yes Levi will certainly be part of the losses.
I explain myself here: Eren has already won more or less in advance if we assume that no matter what happens to Eren, if the Alliance wins this fight, the fandom likes to think that they will end up being acclaimed by the rest of humanity for saving it. (Which I don't think so at all. But I'm going to make a little diatribe about it that I'll post on @erenspaths).
I've come to wonder why Yams kept Levi alive when he clearly should have died so long ago and even more since his last fight with Zeke on the wagon before the explosion.
3 options are open to us:
- He kept Levi alive, so that he could be among the saviors of mankind, his ultimate goal in life, his only reason for still being alive in truth.
- He kept Levi alive for a confrontation with Eren, but I feel Levi completely destitute lately, he lost the gleam of will that he had so much, it's not the same Levi anymore. His obsession with Zeke's death reveals many things:
He wants Zeke's death as his personal revenge for putting him in such a state.
He wants Zeke's death to avenge his men, his comrades and of course to honor his promise to Erwin.
He wants Zeke's death because he is trying to find a pretext, at least an alternative not to attack Eren. Not out of fear, because I don't think Levi is afraid of Eren, but I think it would tear him apart to have to kill Eren, honestly.
- He kept Levi alive in order to make him one of the survivors of the rumbling and to be the guardian of the memory of his comrades and their struggle, a little like "the last soldier still standing", the last trace of a tumultuous past, he who at the base was doomed to die so young in the filth of the Underground if Kenny hadn't saved him.
In another sense, I want this man to survive, that he finally deserves a little happiness, a little sunshine in his life, after all the pain he has suffered. He is one of the most tormented and tortured characters in this manga. The guy is cursed to see his loved ones dying around him and despite his great strength, he is helpless in the face of it.
I'd like to see Levi start to discover life, the pleasures it can offer, because right now he's fighting for the survival of life but he never really lived. That would be his best conclusion.
And in yet another sense, Levi would do better to die, what else could he offer than his life as a sacrifice for the ultimate goal of his life: the preservation of humanity. The strongest soldier of mankind falls in the battle of his life. I know that if Yams kills Levi, he will offer him a spectacular death, worthy of Levi -fucking- Ackerman. That's why his death related to Zeke's explosion was meaningless to Levi, it was the stupidest death Yams could offer him.
Levi's death could also offer him a nice conclusion. He will be reunited with all the people he loved in the afterlife, his comrades and friends on Survey Corps, his friends Isabel and Farlan (who died too soon), Erwin his faithful friend and commander, Hange, his faithful comrade and friend, Kenny Ackerman, his mentor and uncle and finally the person Levi loved most in the world, his mommy whom he lost too soon too, Kuchel. And tbh Levi is so freaking depressed (like all of them yep but..) tired and sick of this life. (Watching him, sat in the sand, made my heart broke a little, I must admit.)
I have faith in Isayama and his judgment just as Levi had faith in Erwin and his judgment, and if Yams decided to keep Levi alive so far it is for a specific reason that I am eager to find out, nothing is ever done randomly with Yams, everything follows a logical sequence.
In the hope that I’ve replied to your ask buddy, because that’s truly what I think about Levi and the d word.

SnK ch 125 Spoilers Ahead.
About Levi
I haven’t been in the fandom for too long, but SnK has become an addiction (laughs in suicidal) and I want to share my thoughts on the latest chapter, mainly Levi. I know I won’t say anything new, but I have the urge to write about it.
First off, they’re back, yay! Maybe we can say that 2020 started in a promising way. Maybe.
Second of all, Levi is a burrito and I see way too many people being overly excited about him going back to fighting when/ if he gets better. No. Please, no.  Levi is not a killing machine. There is so much more to him than just being a soldier/ captain. But, let’s start from the beginning.
LOSS
Levi’s life has been heavily permeated with loss and abandonment since he was born. Kuchel died when he was very young, but old enough to remember her. Knowing what having love means and then losing it is devastating. To top that off, when she died, he had nowhere to go, so he just lived for, we don’t know how long, but even if it was just a few days it’s still heavy, his mother’s dead body in a small room in a brothel. After that, Levi gets saved (let’s put it like that) by Kenny, who teaches him how to survive, but eventually (yes, for a sensible reason) he abandons him, too. Levi learns the reason only after it is disclosed by Kenny many years later, but up until that point Levi only knows he was abandoned and that’s it. His life in the Underground can’t have been easy, not matter how skillful a gangster he was. I feel suicidal if there are more than three days in a row with no sunshine, he lived with no light for years. There he has two friends, Farlan and Isabel, whom he also loses after they’d joined Erwin. He’s left with two people he’s close to – Erwin and Hange, and he’s also left with that damn syringe Kenny gave him, which eventually led him to decide who lives and who dies. The syringe was an insane cycle. Levi gets it from Kenny, gives it to Erwin and Erwin now only entrusts Levi with the fucking thing, he also entrusts him with the decision to use it as he see fit. And, yet again, Levi loses the person he deeply cares about – Erwin, just this time it was Levi’s decision. Like, fuck. Now, these are just some major losses in his life, but we can’t forget about his comrades and the life he leads as a soldier.
IDENTITY
For the longest time he lived he was Levi, just Levi, not even knowing his last name. Then he becomes Heichou and Levi Heichou and only later in the story he is someone with full identity – Levi Ackerman. There are many other things that constitute our identity more deeply than our name, but our names are the first things we learn about ourselves. I guess we have them for a reason. Another important part of his identity is Humanity’s Strongest, and while he does deserve it, it’s vital we see beyond it – he’s a human person. It’s also vital to take a look at how much pressure this puts on someone, no matter how mentally strong they are. Having only one person rely on you for something puts you under pressure – let’s try to imagine having entire humanity rely on you for, no less than, giving them freedom. We see Levi fight and we see him live, but the question is – what does he live for? Does he live for himself among other things, or is his every move carefully calculated so he could survive to go to yet another battle? Does he see himself as Humanity’s Strongest and nothing more? His current burrito-like state and the final sentence of the manga sound ominous to me, because no matter how precious someone is for the world, their inability to keep doing something they did for the longest time hopefully won’t make them lose their sense of purpose. We don’t know what is going on in Levi’s head, but for the fans, really, there is so much more depth to him. I hope that, if he can’t fight anymore, he won’t think that this is the end for him, that his purpose is lost, and I sure as hell hope the fandom won’t be disappointed, because:
SELFLESSNESS
What Levi did with Erwin when he let him go was a prime example of selflessness. There was literally nothing in it for Levi except guilt, pain and more loss. Had it been me with that syringe and one of my friends, I’d be like: Bitch, you’re getting the serum and you’re staying because I can’t face yet another loss (this is probably why no one will ever do a manga about me lol jk). Levi lets him go, he lets Erwin find peace, he puts what is most important for Erwin above everything else, himself included. Giving someone up to let them die in peace/ be happy/ find their sense of purpose/ really whatever requires superhuman effort and loads of selflessness and that’s Levi for you.
CARING
No matter if you only watched the anime or also read the manga, Levi is extremely caring towards his comrades and friends. On countless occasions he stops Mikasa from getting hurt or killed, because she’s incapable of not following her impulse. His priority is to minimize the loss of human life and he does everything he’s capable of to keep his people alive. When Eren was to seal the hole in wall Maria, we see Levi mention Hange’s group and wondering if Hange is alright more than once. He takes care of them like they’re his responsibility, he protects them and he genuinely cares.
PATIENCE
Even though he comes off as impatient and blunt, he actually rocks the role of a teacher. He takes pastor Nick to see for himself what people have gone through and he does the same with Dimo Reeves – he just talks to them, no aggression, no threats. He lets people choose, and this is really something I admire about him; he lets Eren make a choice when they face the Female Titan for the first time. He keeps saying that no one can know what the right choice is, he doesn’t force people to do as he says (okay, a small exception being Historia becoming queen).
EMOTIONAL and COMPASSIONATE
Yeah, not the first adjective you’d associate to Levi, but let’s remember his reaction when they all learn that the titans are actually humans, when he realizes he’d been killing humans all along. His reaction to Petra’s dad when they come back after fighting the Female Titan. The fact that he collected Ivan’s patch and what he told Dieter and Jurgen.
BRAVE
Okay, no need to overanalyze this, obviously, the man is the epitome of bravery, but he’s the one who assumes responsibility for Eren, when we just learn Eren can become a titan, before anyone, Eren included, knew what he, as a titan, could do. And it’s also Levi who guards Zeke, and we all know how well that ended for Levi.
MODEST
Levi doesn’t claim that he knows what the best or the right thing to do is in many situations. We don’t hear him speak a lot, but he does say more than once: “Who’s to say what the right choice is.” “Make a choice you’ll regret least”, etc. He doesn’t try to enforce (again, the situation with Historia is an exception) his views on anyone.
And so on and so forth.
So, wouldn’t you agree that it’s been enough, that he deserves to keep living in peace? I’m afraid that he’s one of the most underappreciated characters in SnK, and I claim that he’s the most tragic one, and making him a one-dimensional killing machine simply isn’t fair. Levi is a deep, multi-leveled character and he deserves all the appreciation we can give him. And I can’t emphasize this enough - he’s human.
If Levi can’t fight anymore, his role won’t be any less vital - he’s already done a fuckton of things for humanity, maybe more than anyone, both as a soldier and as a person.
He deserves happiness and peace, he’s got Hange by his side (if I’m inspired and not lazy I might write a few things about Hange these days, I feel they’re also quite underappreciated), which is a good start. Levi is comprised of unbelievably many qualities we don’t see in people too often, please pay more attention to him.
I will wholeheartedly support fanart and fanfics that give Levi and Hange happiness and if I do write more fanfic, I solemnly swear the two will always be happy. And if it’s okay to ask, Isayama, please, do the same.

To the man who has a strong heart, yet, also fragile in the same time.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR OUR HUMANITY'S STRONGEST SOLDIER, CAPTAIN LEVI ACKERMAN!!🎉🎂🎁
He always loses people he loved ever since he was a kid and suffers so much, but he never gives up to fight for freedom and humanity. He hides all of his pain behind his expresionless face and decides to keep moving on with pride and without any regrets. Some people said that he is a rude and heartless person, but that's not true. He truly has a deep concern and empathy, especially towards his comrades and subordinates. He just couldn't show his emotion clearly.
He deserves to get much love and big warm hug instead of hatred from those who think that "he is useless now and it will be better if he dies soon because now there is 'Eren the GOAT' who has a powerful control over the world". They might be forget about everything that Levi has done, not only for Eren, but also for the entire humanity within the walls. If he has to die, I guess he deserves to get a better death. Even the GOAT himself won't be lived now if he never has people who protect, support, saved, and teach him before.
Anyways, thank you, Kuchel Ackerman, for giving a life to this legend. You were a great mother.
After all, thank you for being born, Captain Levi. Come back soon, please. You haven't build your own tea shop like what you dreamed about, right? I'm—no, WE ARE—waiting for you. We do love you, and we miss you.
"I don't know which option you should choose. I could never advice you on that. No matter what kind of wisdom dictates you the option you should pick, no one will be able to tell if it's right or wrong till you arrive to some sort of outcome, resulting from your choice. The only thing we're allowed to do, is to believe that we won't regret the choice we made."

allllllrighty~ here’s my tHING~<3 i recognize that i talk pretty fast (and i was also trying to be hushhush so i probably didn’t come out as clear as i wanted to) so i’m including a script under the cut~
Tagged by @momtaku, @laffitine, & @dirtylevi ~ ♡ //thank y'all smmmmm// Tagging @shuuhuu @madcapraccoon @matcha-castella @starry-raven & everyone else on here who needs an excuse to do it and wants to. i’ll share the love and peer pressure asdkjfnak
'Aight, so here's my stab at Mamataku's SnK Voice Meme 4.0! I wrote a script to try and keep myself on track, but... the fuck if I ever know how to play right, so here we go~
State your name and username. 『sal, fivefootab-i-tch』 Is there a story behind your user name that you’d like to share? 『it's from an o.g. fandom video called "More Sassy Levi (Ezekieru Outtakes)". this was way before i was more or less tumblr savvy and i've gone through variations of it before settling on this one to mimic Ezekieru's pronunciation of BITCH. i'd wanna have a completely hyphenless version of this url to make my presence easier for the tumblr system to SWALLOW, kkkk but it's taken. the version of it with a 1 instead of the i isn't though... so maybe i'll switch to that one, i dunno. what's a brand?』 Where are you from? 『i'm from the states, southern california, bordertown asscrack of the U.S. you might get that lazy, high as balls, surfer feel from my voice since i've been here all my life』 How long have you been a fan of the series? 『i'm about two years late from the anime release, and i only know this because i immediately started writing fanfiction after binging the series in summer 2015. so... coming on 4 years? damn.』 What is your favorite and least favorite Arc? 『my favorite arc is the uprising arc, a pretty popular opinion, for a lot of reasons: the sudden turn of events, levi's collarbones, levi as a kid, KENNY, the characters all having their own unique identity crisis as their morals are suddenly taking turns, historia reclaiming her identity... (which was something that hits a little too close to home for comfort, but what's a good series that doesn't rip your personal feelings to shreds?)』 『i'm not a big fan of the marley side of things, another pretty popular opinion. for me, suddenly switching to a new cast of characters and setting after so much was accomplished in the uprising arc and return to shiganshina felt like betrayal. i mean... they get to the basement, which was the whole ass goal of the entire series up to that point, then we suddenly screech to a halt to tell someone elses' story. i can understand it... theoretically? i guess? bbut the whole time i was still like "wait a minute, what happened with the main cast?" bits and pieces of it have grown on me since, but i still have a ways to go to invest myself. politically, i just realized... marley really grinds my gears. why did i have to realize this? i'm shook. i can't believe this. i'll process it later.』 Do you have a favorite moment in the story thus far? 『eren screaming "the world outside the walls is my birthright" for... reasons. historia reclaiming her identity for... reasons... i've found myself hyperinvested in this series for immensely personal reasons i hope to eventually see through in my own life. i wanna be free, too. i also liked the moment in the uprising arc when levi thanked armin for saving jean. it was rough, but something he needed to hear. also any moment levi praises people. it's really cute.』 If you could resurrect one dead character who would it be and why? 『kuchel, because not only does levi deserve his mother but i would've loved to see more of her and how she raised levi into the compassionate kind of guy he is now. that side of him survived the tough love kenny put him through, so she must've breathed hella life into her kid and that's something i'd love to have seen more of』 Who is your favorite character and why? 『levi, for a lot of obvious as well as not so obvious reasons.』 『obvious reasons: he's pretty fucking cute. his sass and one liners are hilarious. his sense of humor's a clusterfuck of bad shit jokes and dark takes the people around him don't understand half the time and that's pretty funny in itself. he's o.p. as hell but the way the story makes it not matter when it comes down to it (because the universe is just THAT fucked up) is really something. he's in a league of his own but the depth of his characterization and development shows that's only a small part of who he is. the story demands so much more of him and the ways he rises (and sometimes falls) to the occasion makes me really like him. he's showcased as Humanity's Strongest but he's still human and flawed as fuck.』 『not so obvious reasons: he says fuck gender roles. he's short and makes the trans guy side of me feel pretty good. that particular character trait isn't just a gag for me. he started from the bottom now he's here. he always sides with the powerless, the helpless. he (to his own personal moral code) uses the strength he has for good as opposed to using it to keep people below him, something he could very well do if he uncritically internalized everything kenny spoonfed him, and wanted to. he doesn't sit on a moral high horse. he's open minded and accepting of letting people decide things for themselves. he's humble. if he doesn't understand something, he'll look to other people and he does all that while remaining confident and assertive in his own abilities. he doesn't hold himself above doing the dirty work if he feels he's best suited to do it. he genuinely cares about people and does his best to talk them through their issues when they need it, even if he's clumsy while doing it. it's really inspirational and personally validating .』 Any OTPs? 『erejean hits me a certain way. they're everything "boys will be boys" is SUPPOSED to mean, and i still can't get over jean calling eren cool. they're just so funny and i love their dynamic. hange and petra hits too for a reason i don't really understand yet. i don't get super invested in pairings, but i do like seeing character dynamics being explored in different lights and stuff. **** i bonded with my partner over roleplaying an au ereri thread, so that pairing's pretty special too. i didn't ship it at first, but being open to it has led me to getting to know this amazing person, so... yeah.』 You are able to transport to the SnK Universe for a day. How do you spend it? 『helping out. i don't know what i'd be able to contribute, but i'd want to be doing something to make the lives of the main cast easier. they have it really hard, and so many times i wanted to be able to do something for them. so i write my original characters into fanfiction. on the other hand, if it's a world where i'm independent and free to live whatever life i wanna live, i'd wanna go absolutely apeshit first. see everything there is to see and live all the life there is to live. ****perform a strip tease at a scout party and have the officers stick bills into my boobs.**** THEN commit myself to some sort of social or military work for the scouting legion. ****be their comfort... if yaknoe what i mean. it's good honest work~♡****』 Eren Jaeger did nothing wrong or Eren Jaeger did everything wrong? 『eren jaeger is what eren jaeger does. i can't vouch for whether or not he's right or wrong because there's no way i can really put myself in the situation he's in. mass genocide is very wrong, without a doubt, but something tells me there's something else going on and his real intentions are more complicated. a pivotal point in the series for him was his tribunal, where levi played the role of the arrogant wank to save his life and beat his ass before the whole military court. i think there's something similar going on here. he could be playing a role too, but it still stands that i have no idea. i'm not so invested in condemning or glorifying him, because the things i enjoy about his character aren't really going to be influenced.』 What is your favorite song in the series? Feel free to sing an extract 『i love them all. hiroyuki sawano makes such amazing soundtracks and all the vocals are powerful and chilling as fuckall hell. some favorites i do have are red swan, Vogel im Käfig, Bauklötze, call your name, it's answer song call of silence, youseeBIGGIRL, the spanish version of so ist es immer. so uh... even though i'm not very good at it, i do really love singing, so... i'm gonna try and sing some for y'all. i know a lot more english, japanese, and spanish than i do german so... i'm sorry!』 ****『Like the scarlet night veiling the dark You can hide your fear Can lie, my dear Kono mama yume wo mite Chi darake no tsubasa Hirogete』**** 『Las sillas ya juntas están Charlamos toda la noche  Este lugar no esta nada mal  Y creo que nos llevamos bien ****Solo estamos nosotros  Siempre es nuestra luz  Cantando y bebiendo, puedes estar tu Bajo el cielo azul  Siempre estamos asi  Y largas son las noches aqui』 『Ist das der Zerstörer oder der Schöpfer?』**** 『one of these days, when i feel more bearable to listen to, i'll... try and do some full ass covers, if y'all would be down for that ♡』 Bonus: What would Erwin do? 『about... what? everything going down now? i dunno. all i can offer is a dream daddy reference. he's chilling in Margaritaville somewhere... 』 Say the following: Wall Maria, Jean Kirschstein, Reiner Braun, Ymir, Theo Magath, Onyankopon, Kiyomi Azumabito, Hajime Isayama, Shiganshina Trio, Shingeki no Kyojin, Shinzou wo Sasageyo

People can hate Kuchel if she want. She’s not a real human.
I know that, pretty sure that everyone knows that one can hate a character and that the characters are not real. But i’ve always been that type of fan that says “i’m cool with you hating a character but if you gotta hate (insert character name here), you need to have a valid reason.” And well, this person literally has no valid reason to hate Kuchel. At first, i tried to spot a negative trait about her and i found nothing. She is a side character. We only got to see her twice, two times in one episode, she hasn’t made an actual appearence and she doesn’t even have a voice so how can one get to the conclusion that she’s a bad mom? We have no reason to hate her since Isayama hasn’t given us one. Character hate without 0% hate reasons is one of the things i hate the most.
The first time we see her:
Tumblr media
The last time we see her:
Tumblr media
We know nothing personal about Kuchel. What we know of her is that she was Kenny’s younger sister, Levi’s mom, a prostitute working in a brothel in the underground and a poor woman that had to move to the underground and changed her name to “Olympia”. Beside begin her prostitute name, she did it so she wouldn’t get caught and killed just because she was an Ackerman. Kuchel was someone who valued life even before it came into this world. She wasn’t ungrateful. A life is a life, born or unborn. She gave everything she had so Levi would have a chance to live on. She loved him and fought tooth and nail for him. She let countless men rape her and abuse her so she could feed him and clothe him. And in regards for wanting a kid? She had no one. Kenny pretty much abandoned her, pretty sure she didn’t know that Mikasa’s dad even existed so she didn’t have him. She wanted someone to love and care for. Is that so bad? And no, the circumstances weren’t the best but in the world they lived in were they ever going to be? She knew she couldn’t give him a life as good as they deserved but to bring a little bit of happiness into the world? To give some happiness back to a child who adores her? Isn’t that enough? She is not selfish. She did not ‘put him through hell.’ She did her best to raise a baby, alone, in a shitty situation. She had a child because:
1) It was her dream
2) Getting pregnant because of the job can happen
3) She wanted to bring some happiness into the world and these “fans” gain nothing from villianising her from that.
She decides to try her best and give her child a life instead of getting a life threatening abortion or killing him after birth or kicking him out on the streets where anything could have happened to Levi, but she didn’t. Kuchel may not be perfect but she did her best. Levi showed no signs of suffering with Kuchel. He started to suffer after she died. Kenny also suffered. You see the way he let himself go against the wall and slowing falling down? her and Kenny weren’t on good terms, but Kenny tried to save her cause he still cared about her but he came too late. Isayama didn’t portay her as a bad mom. Also, what gives people the right to determine what a woman does with her body?
Do you see how happy she was when she was holding Levi?
Yes, maybe she was selfish for wanting a companion to get through that hellish world, for wanting to have something to cerish and hold when she’s sad,  for refusing to kill an innocent life growing inside her womb.
But she tried her best to take care of her baby.
She loved Levi to the point where she refused the little food she had to give it to him, which resulted in her dying from her illness AND starvation. If she didn’t do so, Kenny would have found Kuchel AND Levi dead.
Like, do you ever wonder how the hell can Levi have a kind and caring (even though he doesn’t show it often) side? See how much he cares for Isabel and Farlan? for his old team? for his current team? for Hanji, Mike, Nanaba and Erwin? Who taught him to care for other people? Kenny? nope.
If it wasn’t for Kuchel, there would have been no progressive accomplishment in the favour of humanity. There would have been no Levi for all of us.
The fact that “she’s not a real person” doesn’t mean that those insults get a pass. Because in real life, many women who work as prostitutes have children, from the job or not, who probably are or were in the same situtation as Kuchel so those insult aply to real life as well and it’s disgusting.
If you want an example of a bad mom, here it is:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Don’t bother arguing, cause i’ve already won by showing nothing but the truth into some “fans” faces.
Yes, this is for every “fan” that hates Kuchel.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk. Have a good day.
Pretty sure that if i put the anon off, this ask wouldn’t have appeared.
