I feel like there is a ladycat out there moving toward my life. I do not know how old she is, what she looks like, or her temperament (I hope she is a judgey type that makes you work for her love, I adore them, I’m a real fawning maidservant of a catmom) but I sense we shall meet soon.

Somebody on the internet said that after your pets go over the rainbow bridge they sit around and discuss you and then keep an eye out and find your next pet for you and arrange your meeting. I would like to believe that is what is going on.

what do you think of an au where marinette has both the ladybug and cat miraculous from the start? marinette keeps pushing herself to fight hawkmoth alone despite tikki, plagg, her parents, alya and everyone worrying about her while she refuses to give the cat or ladybug miraculous to anyone else because she doesn't want to put them in danger but adrien eventually figures out her identity because the boy was very worried about his very good friend marinette and sees her transforming back from being ladycat(maybe? I don't think it would bug noire because she never had chat noir with her) and she doesn't notice because she's so tired but the kwami do and marinette actually passes out from exhaustion and fear at adrien figuring out her identity when she sees him.

adrien doesn't hesitate to take her to the nurse and when she eventually wakes up, he promises to keep her identity a secret (both due to tikki and plagg and because he would never put the love of his life his amazing classmate in danger) and marinette starting to trust him more and more as he always covers for her and helps till she eventually, one night, meets him in his room and

"adrien agreste. this is the miraculous of the cat with the power of destruction, you will use it to defeat hawkmoth and return it to me. can I trust you?" then everyone immediately starts shipping ladynoir while shipping adrienette even more.

do you think it would be interesting? kind of want to write it but physical existence is not optimal sickness is kicking my butt with motivation- being a constant debuff right now, not to mention I'm worried about if I would be able to make them not seem too ooc since we're pretty far away from canon and I don't want to ignore that.

The characters seem quite in character to me so you shouldn't worry at all. Technically, no fan can write the characters perfectly in character because they don't belong to us. Write what makes you happy and what you want to read.

So, Saturday through Tuesday, I nailed down the first chapter. That's a little over 5,000 words of my write-to-spec. I feel pretty good for my first foray into this genre - if it were on Ao3, the tags would be monsterfucking, xeno, consentacles, and oviposition. The editor can use the program to look in on our work and make comments, but I only had a few things they wanted changed.

The kitties are integrating, and at the moment Dusty and Moki are silly-chasing around the house. They bat paws at each other, racing up and down the cat trees and she will hiss at him when he's too rambunctious for a little old ladycat. Beanie is still a holdout, but is less fierce now. He treats her carefully, rolling onto his back and making kitten-mews, extending his neck to touch noses.

Rain is coming, possibly over a week of it. It's been maybe 25 years since the last time that happened. I bought some Quick Dams for the front porch and the balcony, reamed out the drains again, and ought to be safe and dry. The designers of Los Angeles kind of forgot to account for rain. I wonder if Pacific Palisades is going to skid a bunch more expensive real estate onto the beach. Likewise the canyon streets always have landslides, lesser ones, or as anyone with sense would say 'red flags.'

Work is still pretty busy, and we're moving more purchasing over to Mexico. A couple of manufacturers we were dealing with in China have simply fallen off the face of the earth and one of the reps I dealt with just said that he's not working for his company any longer. He did not say it in so many words, but I think they might have gone under. The other one was pushing us to take orders earlier, place new orders before the previous order was even delivered, and tried to change the payment terms. We were going to order after Lunar New Year, but there's a company here in the US with a smaller MOQ - pallet vs. container. Boss is happy about that.

If anything we should be blaming Plagg for not recognizing the Peacock Miraculous. It's not like he wouldn't know what it looks like since they share the same compartment in the Miracle Box. I know Plagg is portrayed as aloof and noncompliant, but come on.

I think there was some excuse about that not being the real peacock miraculous? But it still looked like it and that never made much sense, so eh.

Anyway, there's a reason I had Fu firmly tell Plagg that he's getting remedial lessons on all Miraculous artifacts in Ladycat. He really needs to remember this sort of thing
