Reached monster fucker anon and that made me laugh. From a pr perspective I honestly think with what Wednesday writes her being a monster fucker would be good. I mean- that’s who she writes for, if you really think about it. Her audience is full of monsterfuckers from the normie x monster shit she writes. Sure, she has horror and what not but the base of it is still that. The question isn’t whether she’s a monster fucker it is what monster she wants to fuck her !!!

Oh my god! I got to the stalker lore stuff and I love it!!! I’m very happy to read more of it and now I have such a better understanding. I knew enid went feral but damn !!! There is no getting in the way of Wednesday and Enid. It makes me happy though that they were able to get past all of this trauma to end up in a much better place where they both can physically be together and love each other. It really speaks to how strong their relationship is like there is absolutely nothing that could ever break the two of them apart.

I have to wonder if anyone at nevermore or hell even in Jericho remember Wednesday (she’s hard to forget) and see her as this celebrity figure. Do they talk about it? Do they bring it up? Do they try to say what happened at nevermore? Are the whispers just brushed away as an old classmate wanting to hate on them? Just rumors bubbled up to ruin Wednesdays image? Or, really, would it not even be blinked at because this is Wednesday Addams after all? (some nevermore students and people of Jericho definitely have a “Wednesday Addams traumatized me” therapy group) OH or does everyone think all the old Jericho people are crazy because wednesday turned her school years into books (unknown to the public) so it just looks like they are taking what she’s written wayyy to seriously

Oh my god the short of enid in jail was heartbreaking. It cements even more how much they deserve. Like- Enid in her life has reached a state where she is so overly loved. She can play video games, laugh, smile, be jump scared and run into the arms of her *wife* at the end of it all. You did a fantastic job writing it!!!

as for if jericho and nevermore remembering wednesday? yeah no they definitely know her, with the amount of shit wenclair get up too its hard to forget the werewolf and its master staining their monuments red

they do crow abt it at times but they're so secluded its not really that noticeable. There are the occasional post from a disgruntled adult of long before but that's about it. Definitely looks like an in universe viper roleplayer though!

Last episode HH has dropped the bomb: all that hard training (3 days of it) was to send Erika to Earth for a mission. Everyone is shocked. 

Erika's thoughts on coming back home (her own words, she call Earth her home here) are really nice. Something that resonates well with me. She has spent on Eldarya only one year, and now half of her old friends are dead/gone, her relationship's status is “it's complicated”, andso fat nothing says that Erika hated one of her parent and lived a secluded, alienated life. It is reasonable that she should miss her home and family. This is more logical than whatever she has been thinking in Genkaku (I AM AN IMPORTANT PERSON HERE TM). 

Mathieu tho: 

No, he told you that in Genkaku, when you were discussing chances of coming back to Earth. Amnesia or Alzheimer? 

Which is totally not sus. Not with his “bigger than life, happy go lucky, I am so popular guy” persona he is using on Eldarya. Sorry, but this secret was a bit too obvious. I am not asking for him to be happy about coming back to Earth, he has already claimed he doesn’t miss it, but how about neutral reaction? Meanwhile, Leiftan:

Are they hinting that Tenjin will try to betray Eldarya in last episodes? 

And finally, Council asks their tools mascots guardians from Earth whether they know these symbols: 

Mathieu plays his role nicely. He discusses the problem of many, many, many logos and emblems with Erika, and HEAR ME OUT: this is a good moment. Both of them are talking like they know things, they try diff possibilites and it is good. Too bad that Erika's role this ep will be a glorified fashion designer, because here, she kinda rocks (she doesn't know the symbol, but she is a young civilian woman, so I do not expect her to know secret military organization and it's emblems). 

Is this a moment when they talk about internet and how to use it during mission? Because that would be wise, to plan it right now. 

YEEEESSSSS. Erika using her brain and all her fortes. Erika mentions searching via google image, mentions that they need to take a picture of emblem, now all I need is some shaping this plan: how will they take pic, where will they do their research, etc. So far it's good. 

???? why tho? They got a solution, now they need to shape this plan, ask questions. It's not like Erika and Mathieu said it's impossible. What did they think that two kids with no military training (allegedly) will know military emblems? That they will tell you everything from the start? 

Ah, they are angry, because they didn't understand what they were talking about. And, frankly- they are a bit dumb? And hypocritical?  1) there are lots of symbols on Earth 2) they can use INTERNET *whatever it is to look what that symbol is. 3) they made fun of Erika not knowing eldaryan things 4) they should have know at least basics. Nevra knew “twilight” so he should know what internet is, photos, etc. If only writers knew TO... 

Imogene: on Earth we have a virtual-like invisible, it doesn't exist on physical planes-library. You can find almost everything there if you know how to look and have a special item. And everyone can have an access to it! If it's not a super secret organisation, our chances are that we will get some info about it- as long as we will be able to find that symbol. Ofc, there are some details that we need to work on... Where can we use computer- that’s the item we need? Will we have to buy a phone? Oh, I got an idea- we will use the public library, it’s free! And we will be able to print infos to read them back in Eel! 

Meanwhile, Erika:

Is this a moment when wise HH asks 'but how will we use it, if we don't have said machines'? Well, she asks how long it will take, which is a valid question, ok. The answer surprises everyone, but I will focus on this: my, Chrome has such a big head comparing to everyone else. 

RIP Zifu, are you the only one asking HOW exactly will you use that wonderful Internet? Or is it just google translate misleading me? Nah, nothing comes from his words. Erika sees that Nevra and HH are gloomy af. 

A nice contrast here, children: Jamon, HC, Zifu are in awe of having such a tool to your disposition. They are amazed and impressed. However, Nevra and HH think only about dangerous things and that faeries are less powerful than humans. 

Which, ofc doesn't matter, because luckily for them, the only humans that will fight eldaryans are unable to win against half-drunk wedding guests. 

But wait, in TO Ewelein said that our earth medicine is supbar comparing to eldaryan... and Erika agreed. On the second thought- Erika's knowledge about medicine could be as broad as about physics and science. 

Erika thinks that the news about Eldarya could spread by said internet and that humans are aware of faeries. Leiftan tries to comfort her while desplaying some quick wit: 

I don't know if those lines are exclusive to him only, but if so, it means that players on Nevra's route got almost zero lines from him, Lance was pretty quiet too, and Mathieu...well, same. 

And, finally, it's Erika who points the lil problem: while finding infos on internet will be easy, finding devide/place with internet -not so much. No one paid attention to her words that everyone on earth can have those devices and that they are so small they fit in palms? Not even Lance nor Nevra, nor HC? 

CREEPY TIME HERE:

HH is sending subtle messages to Erika, about fullfilling her destiny. The fate has it for our MC that she will save the world again, because Beemoov's kink is sacrifice, and one wasn't enough. Erika, a walking dreams-come-true of every dictator agrees and gets excited, because she can be an IMPORTANT PERSON TM. 

The idea of Erika being the bridge between two worlds doesn't work for 18 episodes, specially with how hostile she is towards humans (her butler being an example of how well she treats bystanders and civils) and how much disdain she has for Earth. Bridge? More like naval boarding. 

But then we get back to good writing: Erika again takes a lead and asks about portals, wanting for team to teleport in forest (like in TO), for discretion. I am really happy for our MC showing some brain, but the rest of Council is not v smart here. Except Leiftan. For him I got this: 

HH: don't worry, I won't let you go unprepared. 

However, she sends them without any currency, without real plan and v vague goal. 

Creating portal will take a week, so we have whole week to teach our friends ways of humans. Oh, only Mathieu will teach them (HC is not happy). 

OFC, our Erika cannot sit on her ass and dunno, train more. She has to help, she has to be an IMPORTANT PERSON TM!!!!

I agree with Erika here. To prepare outfits during this week sounds a bit lame. It should take one afternoon of intense brainstorm, and Erika should be off to training/teaching faeries. But hey, gropping is important, right? About fashion:

we are talking about 8 years. 

But ofc dressing up belongs to Erika. Well, she is at fault, because it is clear to everyone that she cannot explain even simplest earthly things to faeries, but honestly, I would ask Mathieu to help with boys clothes. Erika admits openly that she is not into fashion too. What are her interests then? She wasn’t into boys, she wasn’t into fashion, she wasn’t into science, computers. Tabula rasa. 

Oh Erika, it's simple. We need to have mandatory smexy scene, and you cannot have smexy scene in classroom (shhhhh, don't tell Brazzers)

HH then acts a bit cruelly, speaking v loudly and clearly to her sister that Mathieu will be her teach, and she has to listen to him. Unprovoked, it was mentioned (see above) that HC remained silent, even if she was unhappy with the situation. Nice way to humiliate a leader and sister. HC is a good sport about it tho:

Erika and HH understand each other without words: it is all to make poor Meow-Mathieu feel better about his failure in the forest. The one who almost killed Erika, and left HC injured. But ofc, it is Mathieu who has to be comforted. Honestly, with how well they treat him after learning about his real story it’s not surprising. 

“It is not my role to question HH” says Erika, who was told in first episodes that she should question everyone, because mistakes happen to best of us. 

We are near the end of meeting, but Erika takes one more chance to impress me: 

blablabla, Purral helped with ingredients for portal, but he is a pervert and cannot be trusted. Ewelein doesn't like him. Why wasting maana on such an unimportant person? Why not adding this episode some Karuto/Zifu romance, instead of cramming it into one episode, so we could cry over Zifu’s death? SPOILERS.

Erika is now sure that Leiftan will follow her everywhere, one episode earlier and one short conversation ago she was all “does he or doesn't he”. Damn, it really shows that there are plenty of writers and that they do not read whatever the others are writing. 

Erika thinks how diff it is to teach others how to act like a human and suddenly she thinks of her as a human, belonging to Earth. Sorry to complain, but it seems like Erika has DID. I like this Erika more, tho.

This is such a random question and I don't know if anyone asked this before but what do you think of the whole "Mori is a sadistic doctor that experiments on people/Dazai for fun" thing?

I encounter it waay to often in fanfiction and from what I remember reading in the manga Mori isn't a person that would do such things?

I mean yeah it's mentioned pretty often that he is extremely calculating and keeps most things (people) out of either interest or because they are useful to him/the mafia but isn't that directly indicating that he wouldn't randomly harm them for his own amusement since he still needs these people for his plans? It generally doesn't make much sense to me?!?

It seems so out of character and stupid to me but it could be that I have missed something?

Hi anon! This was such a cool question, holy shit. Thanks for yeeting into my inbox and giving me something to think about ;)

So, lemme preface this by saying that I don't actually read a whole lot of BSD fanfic and so I can't say I have firsthand experience with the Mori interpretation you're talking about. But from what you've said, it sounds like an interesting take on his character that can be done well--and poorly--depending on what someone does with it.

I don't ever want to police what tropes and characterizations people write. So if someone thinks Batshit Crazy Doctor Mori is a fun thing for them to write, full power to them! Fuckin' go for it! I bet it'll be awesome!

I don't know if it's an interpretation I'd read, though, considering that trope is...ehhhh for me. It's great for standalone horror pieces but I'm not a fan of human experimentation horror in general, it kinda squicks me out.

But as for if it's strictly in-character, I'd say no. I've read the manga a bunch of times and I'd agree with your view on canon Mori. His most defining trait is that he's utilitarian. Not so much in the view of "for the greater good, always" but more that he views humans as pros and cons, always considering liabilities and risky investments. He treats people according to how much worth he's assigned them for a particular venture. Above all, Mori is deeply and terribly practical.

It's why he's a compelling villain. You can see his motivations and his thought process and you can see where you'd go "no, that shit hurts people, don't fucking do that." Because you're not an evil bastard. But Mori is an evil bastard who sees those places too, he just doesn't really give a shit.

This makes him an evil bastard, obviously, because he only considers human emotions and desires other than his own as either a lever for manipulation or a means to an end. He sacrifices Oda in Dark Era because it gets rid of several problems with only an unimportant casualty, he goes to war with the Guild because they're a threat, and he orders his men to help civilians during Q's Rampage because it's worth it to protect his turf.

Mori's a dick (affectionate) but he's not crazy. He doesn't hurt his people unnecessarily. If anything, Mori would experiment with expendables. With enemies. With prisoners. And not even then if experimentation might degrade their usefulness.

To put myself in his shoes (which I do often, considering I adore him and I adore writing him) I wouldn't experiment on my people. I want them slavishly devoted to the Port Mafia. And damn it, Mori's good at engendering loyalty--see Chuuya, Kouyou, manga Tachihara--and that's because he doesn't put his people in harm's way if he can help it. Even at the cost of his own wants and needs! Mori is a damn good leader and damn good leaders don't experiment on their people!

Just look at Cannibalism! He tells Fukuzawa, ostensibly a guy he likes even if it's in a tsundere way, that he should die. He's less important than Mori. Which, sure, you can argue that's him saving his own skin. But his logic is fucking sound. The PM would raze Yokohama to the ground if he died. The ADA would not. In the impossible situation with only two choices, having Fukuzawa die benefits the most people.

Mori is the type of person who considers this and picks it as the better option despite the fact that it means someone he likes has to die. That's how practical he is. And a person that practical cannot possibly be as batshit insane and impractical as a mad scientist who does unsanctioned experiments on his own followers.

So no, it's not in-character. But mad scientist Mori can definitely be played with and written well, as with most tropes and characterizations. If it ain't your thing, it ain't your thing, y'know? I just wouldn't say it's a thing he'd do in canon.

Anyway, those are my thoughts! Thanks again for giving me an excuse to ramble about one of my favorite BSD characters :D

It was just supposed to be Pack support. Just the Bats realizing they had an Omega in their ranks, an Omega who had been more on the outskirts than part of the inner circle, an Omega who had been walking a long road alone. Just the Dick and Jay trying to be good Alphas and take care of him. Just giving in to those crazy instincts.

It was never supposed to hurt. It was never supposed to break him. Not like the first time when he was essentially kicked out of the Pack, when his cape was pulled out from under him, and his place became a question mark instead of a given. (Falling from Wayne Towers because Ra’s is such a douce canoe, he’d been beaten to fuck, blood loss and a real concussion to blame when he wondered if they’d bother putting up a case with his suit, if he even mattered that much to Dick, if he ever really did…)

When he presented, when he didn’t have a hint of a Pack scent, It had taken an embarrassingly long time to feel like he could get anywhere near the city. Long after he’d sent Bruce back home, telling him everything with sparse details, why there wasn’t an R on his shoulder, why he couldn’t be Batman’s sidekick anymore. He’d left all the pain locked in his chest, keeping himself as impartial as possible to deliver the hard facts, ignoring the whimpering, cowering Omega in the depths of him crying out for someone, anyone to want him, need him, keep him.

Working his way back in hadn’t been easy. Keeping his presentation under wraps with scent blockers and suppressants hadn’t been either, but there was no way in hell he was going to let something like the fact he was an Omega be the reason they wanted him back. Fuck, no.

But it happened anyway. Slowly but surely, O called him more often about cases, wanted to know if he had any helpful intel. B dropped by the Tower, more than once, to seek him out, told him how buggy the Batcomputer must be this point, but he wouldn’t really know, Tim, because you always handled that, didn’t you? Dick tentatively showed up in one of his safe houses while he riding an undercover stint, pizza and terrible B sci-fi flicks, looked crushed when Tim closed the door on him by sheer self-preservation instinct.  Jason Todd showed up to fish him out of the middle of the Atlantic when a case of crimefighting gone hilariously awry ended up with a thwarted world-domination plot and his ass landed in the middle of, you know, the ocean and shit. Damian of all people demanded his presence in Gotham for the upcoming anniversary of Batcow’s induction into the family.

(When he’d blurted out, “why would you want me back? Aren’t you the one that wanted me gone in the first place? Well, I mean, got what you asked for, right? How about we pretend this conversation never happened.” 

He had been in no way prepared for the demon himself to come hunt him down with a vengeance. Robin seeking him out no matter where he hopped next on the fight crime, kick ass, and take names train.)

(That kid? Seriously.)

And as much as Dick had apologized after he finally made his way back to Gotham, had said no Omega in his Pack should have been alone, without a Bat safety net (reads as: mother hen), he had seemed genuinely upset Tim had presented outside of Gotham, on his own.

Worse, he hadn’t told anyone. Hadn’t come back.

(Like he thought that was an option at the time.)

It wasn’t until later, after they found out he presented, and were…upset he’d been on his own for so long afterwards, that he’d laughed at Dick’s angry expression, shaking his head.

“Come back? Why? To what? I didn’t have any Pack scent by then, and I sure as fuck wasn’t welcome, so why bother? I did what I had to do. We got Bruce back, didn’t we?”

He hadn’t been prepared for how strongly Dick’s musk flared, how the Alpha went deadly serious, had stepped back and palmed some pellets on instinct when facing something potentially dangerous – like a pissed off, feral Alpha male.

It had taken visible effort for Dick to get a hold of his Alpha instincts, which had absolutely perplexed him at the time because really? They hadn’t been partners, allies, friends for almost two years by then.

“It was…I tried to….Tim –“

He’d just waved off the helpless sputtering because by then, it hadn’t really mattered.

“It all worked out in the end. Don’t think about it all too hard, Dick. I don’t.” Which had been an obvious lie, but had at least appeased the Alpha enough not to viciously scent him or use the dreaded octopus hold until he was cuddled within an inch of his life.

So coming back was…different. Unexpected.

Being the official Pack Omega came with Bats all over his everything. Bats coming out of the woodwork when he was starting to run down, when his Heat was approaching, when he’d been out of the city for too long.

(It was all for nothing in the end. Because they’re only after the Omega now, not the boy that used to wear the R…)

“Heat’s easier with an A, Timmers,” Jay had started that ball rolling. “Ya ever gotta need fer the real thing, betcha I know a few Alphas what might help ya out.”

“I can call some Alphas I trust if that becomes the case.” Had been off-handed in his mind, but it had been something else to see Jason’s expression smooth out, to catch the soft noise of leather when the Red Hood’s hands had clenched into fists.

But against his better judgement, he’d let them into his Heat safehouse. At first just to let them deliver Alfred goodies. Later because they wanted to stay, to spend his Heat together.

It was fine as long as they would just leave afterwards. It was fine as long as it stayed just instincts, just Alphas and an Omega. It was fine because they still treated him like Red Robin on the streets and left him alone when he went blackout on cases outside the city.

It was fine until it suddenly wasn’t.

“Gawd, sweetheart,” Jay moans against the nape of his neck, noses against the base, “ya feel s’ good. My sweet lil’ ‘Mega. My purty ‘Mega, lettin’ me in, givin’ it up ta yer Alpha. Gonna lemme be good ta ya, yeah? That’s right. Perfect fer me, ain’t cha?”

It’s his second day, so he’s with it enough to realize what Jason said.

“Yeah he is,” Dick’s fingers in his hair, nails scratching at his scalp. “He’s such a good Omega for us, isn’t he Jay? He fits so nicely between us. Our cute O–“

“Red.” Tim croaks out from under Jay’s bigger body, the wet sounds of skin slapping fast and furious. He bucks up against Jay with real strength, his eyes already getting ridiculously hot and full.

“Red, dammit! Get the hell off me!”

He yells loud enough to make Jay flinch and jerk up abruptly from where he’d been laying over Tim’s back.

Dick’s hand pauses before untangling from his hair.

And even if the Heat is still burning, his body desperate for the knot that was just seconds ago opening him up for it, Tim pulls off Jason’s Alpha cock wetly, doing it himself while both Alphas seem frozen in their spots, not sure why he would safe word out at all. He seemed to be enjoying them!

Tim’s already clawing and scrambling off the bed, careful not to touch either of them, legs wobbly, messy ass and thighs on display, feeling open and raw and needy, but his chest too tight, his lungs seemingly unable to get enough air.

The bathroom door has a lock. Not that it was much of a deterrent if the Alphas really wanted to get to him, but there’s always the window big enough for him to fit through, too small for Dick or Jay. It would give him enough of a head start anyway.

At one point, he’d pulled a towel off the rack, wrapping it around himself, sitting against the bathroom door to literally block it with his body without being consciously aware of it.

He didn’t move, stayed bare ass on the cold tile floor, concentrated on getting enough air back in his lungs, biting down on his lower lip until his eyes stop spilling over, hot and full, until his chest stops stuttering with half-sobs. Until the Omega in him calms it the utter fuck down.

Soft tapping filters through when the door vibrates against his back.

Dick’s voice filters in while the inside of his head is an utter mess. “… got some pajamas for you, and-and a sandwich. Jay made coffee. Can you let me in, sweetheart?”

“Don’t call me that,” is out of his mouth before he can stop it. “I’m not your fucking Omega. I wasn’t enough to be your partner, your brother, and I’m sure as fuck not going to be your bitch either.”

“What the fuck didja just say ta ‘im?” Jay barks from outside the door.

“It’s just instincts,” he tries to snarl but his voice is hoarse, “that’s all this is. You think I don’t know that?” The laugh is scarily unhinged, “it’s not like anyone chose me, right?”

Because honestly, that hasn’t happened his whole vigilante career.

There’s silence outside the door. Stillness. The Omega writhes inside him, still needs a knot, still wants the Alphas even though Tim knows better than to think they want anything other than a warm hole, another vigilante to share the burden, an Omega’s influence in the Pack.

(He fucking gets it.)

“Apparently, we should talk.” Dick’s voice is flat, something like anger or disappointment.

“Get out,” is what Tim says instead. “Get dressed and get the fuck out. I’ll take care of myself.”

Like I’ve always done. Even back when I wore the tunic.

“Tim, we shouldn’t–“

“No,” and his own scent had changed from candy sweet to alarmingly bitter to his own nose. “You are going to get your clothes on and leave. You two don’t see me through anymore Heats. I find someone else or take care of it myself.”

“What?!” Jay sounds floored, “what the shit is this alla sudden? Ya can’t be serious right now.”

“I’m not fucking around, Jason. You leave, or I will.”

“You can’t go out smelling like Heat!”

“I dunno what the hell’s goin’ on wit’ ya but–“

He stands up on wobbly legs, moves to push the window open, knows they’ll hear the squealing because he’s not trying to be quiet about it.

“Whoa, whoa! All right, all right, fer fuck’s sake!”

“We’re getting dressed and leaving,” Dick is right up against the door. “Don’t go out the window, Tim. We’re…we’re going to go, okay?”

“Then go. Now.” He says from the window without turning around. He can’t chance his inner Omega will push him to whine at the door, to smell like open for business, take me, love me, make me yours because that is not at all where any of them are right now.

He hears them talking, their voices getting more muted as they go back to the bedroom to apparently do as he asked.

Tim climbs out of the tub, window still up, and turns on the shower without getting in, just using the noise as a deterrent.

“Don’t like it, Dickie,” he vaguely catches as the Alphas pass by the door again. “We try ta take care a’ ‘im and that’s what the fuck he says?”

“He safe worded, Jay. What does that mean to you?”

And Tim’s throat gets tight when he thinks about the implications Dick is suggesting.

“Dunno. How ‘bout ya gimme yer theories, Detective.”

“Later. I want to make sure there’s water and Alfred meals left in the feezer.”

“Fine, them let ‘im take care of his own ass. I ain’t never took advantage of a ‘Mega in my fucking life.”

Tim doesn’t leave the bathroom until he hears the front door slam closed. He darts out long enough to reconfigure the security system, makes sure no Bats are getting in without a hell of a shock.

The rest of his Heat is utterly fucking miserable, natch.

He feels wrung out and hurt by the time it’s done and he’s ready to put on the suit again.

He doesn’t put in the Batcomm, for the first time in months, and it goes back in a drawer before he takes off out the window.

I don’t know where to start.

Perhaps a thank you is in order. Thank you for turning our boy around and marching him back here. I don’t think I could handle losing any of them. Not now. 

Not ever.

But we’ve discussed that before.

You would have been so proud. I know I’ve mentioned how they’ve grown, but in the worst of circumstances…

Our littlest, honey…he is so strong. Even injured, he fought for Virgil with everything he had.

He reminded me of you.

But then they all do.

Gordy continues to surprise me. I know he has experienced more than I would ever have wished on anyone, but there was a fire in our little fish today. I don’t know how to classify him anymore. He is a scientist and an athlete, but this time he was a soldier.

I would never have suspected, Luce. He was always such a happy boy. But life, I guess.

John. Quiet, genius John. Life has taken a toll on all our boys, but the strength I saw in Johnny...god, Luce, I wish you could see them all. I know I’m proud enough for the both of us, but it’s so unfair that we have such worthy sons and you can’t see the men they have become.

I miss you.

God, I miss you.

Did you see Virgil? Did you speak to him? I like to think that for all the pain our son went through that you would have received at least a glimpse.

He reminds me so much of you, every day. He has your kind eyes. 

But you know that.

Jeff paused, the stylus hovering above his tablet. Scott was sleeping in the chair between the two beds despite the regular beeping from the monitors. 

Or perhaps because of that regular beat.

The tablet was having trouble with Jeff’s scrawly handwriting. Usually he dictated these letters in the privacy of his own rooms, but that wasn’t happening today.

And he had so much to tell Lucy.

Virgil was pale and breathing quietly on the bed beside him. Various monitors and IVs were strapped to him, but after some serious surgery, he was breathing on his own and, bar complications, on the mend.

Jeff sighed and shifted in his seat.

He glanced at his medic son almost expecting him to wake up and ask after his father’s health.

He would welcome it.

Virgil’s eyes stayed closed.

Jeff let his shoulders drop.

Luce, I am so proud of them, my heart is fit to burst out of my chest.

On the far side of Scott, Alan also lay sleeping, his arm wrapped in bandages and his own set of IVs replenishing his deprived systems.

Not for the first time in his years of parenthood, he wanted to be in more than one place at a time. But as always, he was outnumbered by his sons. 

Scott had managed to solve a good chunk of the problem by paying the hospital so they could have both Virgil and Alan in the same room. If there was one advantage to having money, it was that.

Virgil still needed intensive care. Consequently, there was a nurse in the room at all times. She sat now in the half twilight reading notes in the corner.

Kayo had gone feral with security. She was horrified by Eos’ report on Anthony Simes. Apparently, the man had been found unconscious outside the main doors.

Why he was unconscious was yet to be explained. Kayo had appropriated the video recordings from the foyer. They simply showed him collapsing where he stood.

John had frowned when Kayo mentioned it and Jeff hadn’t seen him since. Scott said something about his brother connecting with Thunderbird Five.

Jeff just hoped his mother was making sure he was getting some sleep at the hotel. Mom had discovered ways to get his boys to behave that were still a mystery to him.

Alan muttered something in his sleep.

Putting aside his tablet, Jeff grabbed his cane and pushed himself to his feet. Everything ached. Neither his bones or his muscles had appreciated all the crawling around on the floor. Scott had been concerned enough to order in another bed in the hospital room.

Jeff hadn’t used it.

As for Scott, his son hadn’t left the hospital since they arrived here. Scott was exhausted. Between the kick to his abdomen and the strain of all those chest compressions, his eldest son’s body had declared enough and shut him down not long after he finally sat in that chair.

Jeff had no wish to disturb him.

Shuffling across the room, he made his way around Alan’s bed to the other side where another couple of chairs sat waiting for him. Jeff held in the groan as he folded himself with a creak.

His body was frustration itself.

Alan muttered something unintelligible and tossed his head on the pillow.

He was dreaming.

Without hesitation, Jeff leant over and touched his fingers to his son’s pale cheek.

Alan stilled immediately, his frown relaxing. His lips formed mumbled words as he leant into Jeff’s touch.

Ever so quiet, soft and...trusting. “Scott.”

Jeff’s eyes darted to his eldest, still sleeping between the beds.

How many times had Scott sat watch over his brothers like this?

Jeff’s heart clenched as his eyes traced the grey hairs on his son’s temples.

Alan rolled over towards Jeff, dragging his bandaged arm and tangling his IV. He didn’t wake, but appeared to be seeking comfort, his cheek cupping into Jeff’s palm.

Alan’s hand caught at his forearm attempting to pull him closer.

Jeff had the urge to lift him up and curl around him. But Alan was eighteen. No longer the eleven year old he so often pictured when he thought of his youngest.

Instead, he stood up and, leaning against the bed, reached over to untangle the tubing.

It was awkward with one hand.

“Let me get that.” A soft voice and a pair of tanned arms reached in and unsnagged the IV.

Jeff turned to find Gordon beside him. The aquanaut half smiled, dark eyes twinkling in the poor light despite the bruising on his face.

“Sit down, Dad.”

A blink and Jeff did as he was told, his eyes caught between his youngest and the apparition of his older brother. “What are you doing here?”

“Couldn’t sleep. Snuck out. Figured you would still be here.”

The nurse at her station glanced up at them and Jeff felt suitably admonished. He pulled Gordon into one of the empty chairs beside him. “You need rest.”

“Yeah, well, rest is optional apparently.” A glance in Scott’s direction. “He looks down for the count.”

“He’s exhausted.”

“The fact we’re talking and he is still asleep is proof of that. Virgil would be dragging him to bed.”

There was no question of that. A glance over at his second injured son.

Still still.

Still quiet.

Virgil, please wake up.

“Any sign?” Gordon’s voice was tentative.

“No.”

“Doctors have anything to say?”

“He will wake in his own time. It’s early yet.”

Neither of them wanted to acknowledge the possibility of brain damage.

That way lay terror.

“Virg is always a snooze hound.”

They fell quiet for a moment. Jeff’s hand was still wrapped up in his youngest’s fingers and he had no issue about leaving it there. It brought up memories of the toddler who clung to him all those years ago.

He’d lost his mother before he even knew her.

Luce, you would be so, so proud.

He was thinking that a lot lately.

“How are you feeling, Dad?”

The question was inevitable, even if Virgil wasn’t awake. “I’m getting there. How about you?” It was dim lighting, but not enough to hide the doozy of a shiner his son was sporting.

Gordon snorted. “Same.”

“Dreams?” It was one word with so much terror behind it and they both knew it.

Gordon sighed. “Yeah, but I’ll get over it.”

The fact his son said that with so much experience, just hurt.

“You?”

Jeff arched an eyebrow. “Filling in for Virgil?”

“You asked me first.”

“My prerogative as a parent.”

“My prerogative as your son.”

“You have been taking notes off Virgil.”

“Who do you think corrals Scott when Virgil is down for the count? I’m back-up and you’re avoiding the question.”

His sons were definitely a team effort. “Dreams, yes, but they are nothing to worry about.” Dreams had kept him company for many years.

“They are going to be okay.”

“I know that Gordon. And so do you.”

Another sigh. “Yes, Dad.”

Alan muttered against his palm. “I’m sleeping here. Go get a room.”

“Allie?”

The fingers wrapped around his tightened momentarily before a pair of blue eyes peeked out from behind heavy eyelids. “What?”

“You okay?”

They closed again and Alan’s brow crinkled into a frown. “I’m fine, Scott. Lemme sleep.”

Alan was still clinging to his father’s arm.

Jeff blinked a moment. Ever so quiet. “Sleep, Allie.”

He paid no attention to the hand that landed on his shoulder and squeezed just a little.

I stayed up way too late to answer these, it was worth it

Questions by @pauletta-00​ *dances* here we gooo, some cautions before reading the answers: 1) will contain spoilers for much much later in the fic so don’t read the answers if ya don’t want dem spoilers. I’m gonna try and keep ‘em vague enough that they don’t give everything away, cause I gotta make ya go read it, don’t I now? 😉 2) While I follow KOTFE/ET as a loose guideline it is just that. A guideline, in a lot of places we veer waaaaayyy off the established canon because *singing to the tune of a popular song* ✨it’s my fanfic and I do what I want to ✨ so don’t any of y’all yell at me because my headcanons are different pls? ok good :D

With that out of the way, the questionsss

1. Starting with basics. Who is your Outlander (which class, what their aligment)? How did they end up being frozen in carbonite for 5 years? Why did you make them the Outlander?

(my own art because losing an eye is not a scar option in-game and it’s one of her most defining features)

Vano Saal-Shenly - Canon Sith Warrior (alignment: Light IV in game, I class her as Neutral Good) and Empire’s Wrath. She got made the Outlander because it just made the most sense, also there are some parallels between her fate/whereabouts (including the amount of time they were “missing” to each other) in KOTFE/ET and that of her wife in earlier parts of the (class) story that I very very much did on purpose 😉 She was also the Wrath, so it made the most sense for her to end up on Marr’s ship when it went boom and led into KOTFE. Pretty much follows the canon there, Vano cuts her ship loose, tells her crew + wife to gtfo of there, she and Marr are taken prisoner and she gets frozen in carbonite after the dust up in the throne room. Becomes the Alliance Commander

2. Now, to the rest of classes. What happens to them during KotFE/ET? Did they know the Outlander? Were they allies, enemies, family? Do they join the Alliance or have something else to do? Do they play a major or a minor role in the story? Spare no detail (if you wish, of course).

Aria Saal-Shenly: Human, Major role. Vano’s wife, semi-canon Jedi Consular (alignment: Grey/Dark I, Chaotic Neutral) (follows the Consular story arc grey-Dark aligned, is in fact a Sith Inquisitor playing sleeper agent). Alias “The Wrath’s Shadow” (for obvious reasons) Joined back up officially with Vano during the SoR arc, they marry sometime in the interim between Rishii and killing Revan; on the other flagship with Lana, Theron and the others when Vano’s crew returns to give them the news. Inconsolable after her wife’s disappearance and refuses to accept that she’s dead (they share a Force Bond, so Aria knows and becomes increasingly frustrated when nobody will “listen to her telling them damn it!!”), drives Lana and the others crazy by continuing to try and look for her wife and putting herself in danger in doing so. Sticks with the Alliance, of course, her wife’s the Commander XD helps Vano to manage Odessen-side things of the Alliance, specialising in helping Ni’kasi and Sana-Rae at the Force Enclave of course.

Saarai Ahaszaai: Sith Pureblood, Major role. Niece to Vowrawn and twin sister to Ni’kasi (SI). Alt Sith Warrior in-game. Light I/II, Chaotic Good, but hiding out on Rishii to escape being convicted of a serious crime and exposing her family to Vitiate/Valkorion (who would absolutely kill them if he knew) picked up by Aria and Vano during their search for Lana and Theron during that part of the storyline. Joins up with the Alliance because she and her family have a personal vendetta (tm) against Vitiate/Valkorion and she wants to stab that dude too. Eventually becomes Empress alongside Vano who  remains as the Commander (I still need to work out the details but basically it’s like...coalition government style thing and Saarai and Vano are the joint “final decision” voice mm’kay? hopefully that makes sense), with Lana, Theron and Aria to watch as Marr’s ship go boom. Has to restrain Aria when she loses her shit when they try to tell her Vano’s dead, helps Lana and the others to track Vano down and formulate the rescue plan. Stays with Aria to make sure she stays put like she was told while Lana gets Vano out of carbonite.

Ni’kasi Ahaszaai: Sith Pureblood, semi-Major role. Niece to Vowrawn and twin sister to Saarai (alt SW). Semi-canon Sith Inquisitor/Darth Occulus (follows the canon Inquisitor storyline, but is not related to Kallig, instead related to Vowrawn and lurking in hiding under Vitiate’s nose. Ends up as a “slave” when she takes the fall for her twin’s “crime” in order to protect her.), Light I/Grey, Lawful Neutral. With Saarai and the others on the ship when the big bad happens, sticks with the Alliance (and her twin) to try and track down Vano. Tries to contact Vowrawn and the other Dark Councillors etc., but can’t reach them obviously.

Merak Shenly: Mirialan, Minor role. Younger brother to Vano and friend to Aria as they briefly worked together before Aria returned to being a plant in the Jedi Order, Smuggler, Grey/True Neutral (mostly non-canon as of yet, I need to fully play through the Smuggler story and see how much of it I can graft into the fic-verse if it works or not), takes Aria’s side and works tirelessly to help them track down his sister, is likely the one to find the lead that takes them to Zakuul. Joins the Alliance and works alongside Hylo to run ammo/supplies etc. to the Alliance as they need it.

I haven’t yet played the Bounty Hunter or Trooper storylines, and my only current Imperial Agent is Aria’s mother (Light V/Lawful Good); she runs semi-canon in that she defects to the Republic, but is instead found out by the DC and Aria is sent to kill her as part of her Sith trials, so she’s dead long before KOTFE/ET happens.

I have a Jedi Knight too, but I honestly couldn’t figure out how to put him into the plot so I just left him out for now, I guess he was recruited and is probably in the background somewhere idk sjhsdyuidg

3. What about companions? Do you follow their in-game story or have headcanons for them? Did they stay with your non-Outlander characters or not? Why?

Mainly managed to plan out for the Warrior/Consular companions, haven’t thought deep enough into the Inquisitor companions yet, though I imagine at least Andronikos, Khem Val, Talos and Xalek will likely return to join the Alliance or at least ally with them somehow, because I love them ;-;

Qyzen: Stung by Aria’s betrayal and “leaves” for a while, re-recruited to the Alliance as canon/in-game and the two eventually patch up their relationship (as best they can, but are not as close as before). Tharan/Holiday, Felix, Nadia and Zenith do not return in my fic-verse. They cut ties with Aria after they find out her true loyalties are to the Empire and not the Republic.

Vette: Stays with Aria, Saarai, Ni’kasi etc. initially, eventually goes missing during their searches for Vano and loses contact with the rest of them, ends up teaming up with Gault and returning canonically/as in-game.

Quinn: is court-martialled and thrown in prison after the Quinncident. Released sometime during the five-year carbonite shebang, becomes an officer/aide to Darth Vowrawn, later joins the Alliance along with Vowrawn on Iokath. He and Vano reconcile of sorts, though she no longer considers him a friend and simply a “tactical advisor”. Quinn knows he fucked up so he doesn’t dare complain about it, or Aria will absolutely E N D him.

Jaesa: stays with Aria and co,

4. If applicable: how your characters react if the Alliance joins the opposite faction on Iokath and after that? For example: how do Sith characters feel about joining the Republic? Will they stay or leave (if it’s too spoiler-ish, then feel free to skip this)?

Aria was never truly on the Republic’s side, so she very much supports joining the Empire. Saarai and Ni’kasi originally came from the Empire so of course they’re enthusiastic. Merak is skeptical, but trusts his sister (and sister-in-law) so doesn’t protest even though the Sith do scare him, a lot.

5. If applicable: if your Commander decides to be a saboteur, would they tell anyone (PC or companions)? Why/why not?

Haven’t got this far yet to be able to plan this out, lemme get back to you when I do lol

6. How would your characters react if one of their companions is exiled or dead because of Outlander’s choices? For example: sith warrior’s reaction if Commander doesn’t save Vette?

Aria pretty much only cared about Qyzen out of her companions, he comes back fine in the end so she’s a-okay. Other than that the only person she would be deeply affected by losing again is Vano herself. She will fucking kill as many someones as she can get to before Saarai stops her if they let her wife go bye bye again.

don’t have a bounty hunter to be upset about Torian. I don’t hate him, he’s a great guy and I really enjoyed his character, but I cannot bring myself to not save Vette ;-; Vette and Vano have a sisterly-like relationship and her lock-picking etc. skills are very important to the Alliance. That Twi’lek ain’t dying on nobody’s watch hahahaha

haven’t yet had a chance to plan out anybody else’s, don’t think there are any choices in game (or that I’ve planned out in the slightly-altered fic timeline) that would affect this. May change as I get that far ahead and add or change things to fit!

Kara raised her hand, poised to knock, but before her fist had even struck the door, it swung open, inward. She took a step back.

The woman in the doorway wasn’t exceptionally tall, though by seventeen-year-old Kara Zor-el’s standards, anyone was tall if they were over five foot. And it wasn’t so much her height, but the way she held that height, looking almost regal as she studied Kara with one hand holding the door.

“Kara, is it?”

Her voice wasn’t at all what Kara expected, and it was a hobby of hers to study voices. She knew that not every voice was as superb and talented as hers, but a Dominant ought to have, well, a dominant voice. This woman’s voice wasn’t thin, but it wasn’t rich either. Nasally, but with a strength and command that Kara couldn’t help but shiver as she nodded.

Wait, no. Nodding wasn’t good. She cleared her throat.

“Y-yes, Ma’am.”

There was no question in Kara’s mind who this woman was, and the respect that she was to be given.

She smirked. “Very good. Come with me.”

She turned on her heel and walked into the house, seemingly not even caring whether Kara was following behind or not, and Kara realized it was because she expected her to follow behind. Which she did, and it gave her ample time to somewhat study the woman with whom she’d be spending her next few days.

She had dark hair that nearly reached her shoulders and curled in loose waves around her ears, and she was wearing a blue silk blouse with a black (very tight, Kara noticed, and she swallowed hard) skirt. Black pantyhose and black heels completed the ensemble; her heels sounded noisily on the marble of her foyer as she stopped, and turned to Kara.

She nodded at her. “Kneel.”

It was a simple command, one that Kara had known to expect, the only command that she expected. And it went against everything Kara knew about herself. This was not who she was, she was not meant to kneel for someone, anyone. But she also knew that this was why she was here, this is what she had to learn. Her cheeks flushed crimson, and she knelt.

She didn’t realize her gaze had lowered until she saw the same black heels come to rest next to her, and she felt a soft hand in her hair, stroking gently.

“Excellent, little one. Now we can begin.”

“Kara, sit.” She turned, and, seeing Kara’s hesitation, smirked. “Please.”

Kara rolled her eyes and sat on the plush red couch, crossing her legs. She accepted the glass of wine that was handed to her, and smiled when the other woman sat next to her, so close their knees were touching.

“It’s so good to see you, Lena.”

“Don’t think I didn’t catch you rolling your eyes at me. That ought to land you over my lap.”

Kara nearly choked on the wine, and fought not to roll her eyes yet again when Lena patted her back, laughing in triumph. “I haven’t been over your lap in years.”

“Well then we have a lot of catching up to do, don’t we, little one?”

“Lena!” Kara finally laughed herself. “Stop that, or else your girl might get upset with us both.” She looked around, searching for any sign of the submissive Lena had had for the last year. “Where is she, anyway?”

“Oh,” Lena mused, running her index finger over the rim of her wine glass before taking a sip, “She’s a little tied up at the moment.” Her eyes glinted mischievously at Kara.

Kara shook her head, then suddenly grew serious, leaning into Lena. “I’ve missed you,” she said, a bit of disbelief creeping into her voice. She hadn’t given it a second thought, but now, sitting next to the woman, Kara realized just how much she’d missed the comfort and companionship. “Don’t let me go another year without seeing you. I’m sorry,” she added regretfully.

Lena kissed the top of her head, a gesture left over from Kara’s training years ago. “I could have called you just as easily as you could have called me,” she admitted. She pushed gently until Kara sat up fully so she could look at her. “Are you alright?” she asked, and Kara smiled to see the old concern return to her friend’s face.

Could she really call Lena a friend? She could call her her Domme, but aside from a week when she was 17, that had never been true for Kara. She could call her a lover, but that had been over long ago, too. Maybe a mother figure, but given the other two options that was just too weird. Mentor, perhaps. Confidante. No, friend worked. It had endured ever since Kara had first set foot (and knee) in Lena’s mansion on the edge of town.

“I’m fine,” Kara answered, smiling to show Lena she was telling the truth, because if there was anyone who could see through her just as well as her daddies, it was Lena. “But I’m not here just as a friend. I need your help. Or your advice, something.”

It felt like she was 17 years old again, then, as Kara sat and spilled everything to Lena: about the House, about Y/N, about Finn. One thing she loved about Lena was that Lena knew when was best to let her ramble, and when was best to interrupt her, and to her credit, she didn’t interrupt at all while Kara was speaking. Kara watched as she talked, saw Lena nod her head as she made soft humming noises of sympathy, and saw the woman’s hand tighten around the wineglass when she spoke of how brutally Finn had treated Y/N. Everything tumbled out about Alex's reluctance; Y/N’s fear of being alone with people like Brainy; how she’d reacted when Maggie had gotten herself in trouble with her Ma'am. Still, she couldn’t help but smile proudly when she told of Y/N’s progress learning how to walk again, or of them going shopping together. She found herself blushing and looking away from Lena as she recounted how Y/N had gotten her a flower from the vendor, how Y/N had said she was special. Part of Kara was aware that Y/N just might not like her telling a complete stranger – well, to Y/N, anyway – her story, but if there was one person Kara trusted, it was Lena. Sitting in her car just minutes earlier in the parking lot to Mount Overland House, Kara had realized that of all the people in the world who might be able to help her help Y/N, it was the woman who had put her on her knees when she was seventeen years old.

Not much had changed since then; Lena was the same as ever, perhaps with more laugh lines than she used to have. But she was still strong and constant, and the connection with Kara was such that it was like they hadn’t been apart for a year, but only a few seconds. Lena’s house was still gorgeous and rich, with its marble floors and double staircase leading to the second floor. She remembered most everything in the house, as if she’d never left it. Kara knew nearly every room of the house – intimately – and aside from the one spanking she’d received that week, each room held a cherished memory. Kara knew that most Dominants rarely went back to the people and places of their training, but for some reason her connection with Lena had held, even after her training was complete. And Dominants didn’t usually start love affairs with the people who had trained them, either. Still, she hadn’t stopped contact even when that had ended, two years ago. She knew she wasn’t a submissive, knew she could never be, but there was something about being with Lena that made Kara feel… different. It was safe, a chance to be on equal and-yet-not ground with someone, a chance to be both Dominant and also taken care of by someone who knew more than she did, had more experience. It was that experience and knowledge that had her looking helplessly at Lena, as she finished telling her Y/N’s story.

“Well,” Lena said, finishing her drink and setting the empty glass on the coffee table. She shook her head and wrinkled her nose in disgust. “I’d advocate castration but it doesn’t sound like he has all that much to begin with.”

Kara snorted. “It’s not him I’m worried about; I’ll let the government deal with him. Though we know how well that works. It’s Y/N who has my concern.”

“It’s you I’m concerned about,” Lena said, casting Kara a knowing look. “You seem to be quite easily jumping into this, Kara, and that’s something you can’t do.”

“I’m not-“

“Don’t interrupt me, please.”

“Yes, Ma’am.”

Lena stood up, beginning to pace across the floor in front of Kara, a movement that told Kara one of two things: she was angry, or she was deep in thought. Possibly both. She briefly wondered about Lena’s girl, who was “tied up at the moment.” Kara hoped she hadn’t interrupted anything; that would be embarrassing. Then she wondered if Lena was using the silk ties, and she blinked, trying to return herself to the situation at hand.

“Kara.”

And there it was, that power to make her shiver, that power that she wondered if she herself held. A power that all Dominants were told that they should hold, that they should use and be proud of. The ability to make all thoughts stop, just at the sound of a name, delivered quietly and with command. A tone that brooked no interruption, no disobedience, nothing but complete, utter compliance and devotion. It was the sound and its delivery that had Kara ducking her head and lifting her eyes to pay attention to the woman stood in front of her, her hands on her hips.

“Do you remember what it was like, that first day with me?”

“You’re scared.”

From her position on the floor at her feet, Kara wondered how Miss Lena knew. Was she trembling? She dared to slightly lift her hand and look at it; she was. But then Miss Lena took her hand and gently placed it back on Kara’s knee. Form was important, she had told Kara just a few seconds earlier, and it was even more important that it was maintained.

Kara forced herself not to nod her answer. “I’m scared, Miss Lena,” she agreed.

“Why?”

The Dominant – her Dominant’s – voice was calm and soft, and for a moment it confused the girl kneeling for her. Wasn’t a Dominant supposed to be stern and exacting? Oh, the books from school stressed sustaining a balance, but there was also more emphasis placed on order and obedience. But this Dominant… was being nice.

“Answer me, Kara. Why are you scared of me?”

“Because you could hurt me.” Kara’s voice was tiny, barely above a whisper as she spoke the thing she had been most afraid of in the days leading up to her training.

Her fathers had simply kissed her, said they would see her in a week, as they left her standing with her suitcase on the doorstep of Miss Lena’s house. She knew the rules for her training said that parents weren’t to coddle or coo over their children at the moment training was to begin, because that would set the wrong tone. But she couldn’t help wanting a hug or a kiss, some reassurance besides “see you in a week” that she’d make it out of this alive.

She was a Domme. She had the mark on her ribs to prove it, but here, on her knees in front of a couch, a strange woman’s hand in her hair, Kara didn’t care that she was a Domme. She didn’t care that her daddies had vetted potential trainers for four months leading up to her birthday, that the three “possibles” had undergone every background and personal check known to Lima. Kara may have been a natural Domme but here in her training she couldn’t object, she couldn’t protest unless something went terribly wrong, and she wasn’t even comforted by the safety measures that were in place to ensure that nothing would go terribly wrong.

The only thing she cared about was that she felt at this woman’s mercy, and Kara had heard the stories of Dominants taking advantage of the trust placed in them. Kara didn’t want to be one of the statistics in a commercial on television.

“You’re right. I could hurt you.”

The dread slid over her like ice water, but Kara was surprised when that same hand in her hair gently pressed until Kara’s cheek was against the woman’s thigh. The motion was soft, kind, and Kara closed her eyes, trying to concentrate on the warmth and the feeling of fingers stroking.

“I could hurt you, and perhaps if I have to punish you, I will hurt you. Punishment isn’t meant to be nice. But it isn’t meant to be brutal; it isn’t meant for me to go over the boundaries we will set together for this week, and none of this training means I’m allowed to mistreat you. Look at me, Kara.”

“Yes, Ma’am.” She hastened to do what she was told; Lena’s eyes were a deep brown, twinkling and almost loving as she stared down at Kara.

“I’m going to take care of you,” Lena said quietly, and those words, coming from her, were enough for Kara to let go of all of her fears and put her trust in this woman, this stranger who held her close to her thigh and was still playing with her hair.

“I’m going to take care of you.”

“It was silly of me to be so scared,” Kara said with a little smile. “I should have known you’d never hurt me.”

“But you didn’t know. And what if all you’d ever known was hurt? Could you really have trusted me not to abuse you? And what would you have done if I hadn’t known what I was doing? How could you have recovered if I broke you?”

“I know, but I’m diff-“

“She can’t trust that you’re different,” Lena pointed out, sitting back down next to Kara. “If this is what you really want, Kara, this is going to be a long, slow road for you. I just don’t want you jumping headfirst into it, for her sake and yours, because god knows you’re impulsive and don’t think half the time.”

“Hey!” Kara protested, even though she knew it was true. Continuing to see Y/N, bringing the girl to visit with her for a week, all of it she’d done without really thinking of the ramifications. She stared at Lena, realizing the point the other woman was trying to make.

Lena smiled and reached out to touch Kara’s cheek with her hand; Kara nuzzled into it, yet another feeling left over from that week years ago.

“I couldn’t bear it if I hurt her,” she admitted. “That’s why I’m here, Lena, I don’t know how to be her Dominant… I mean what if she does something wrong? How do I spank her when I know what he did to her?”

“That’s easy enough,” Lena said, taking her hand away, and Kara was disappointed at the lack of contact. “You don’t.”

Kara tilted her head. “I don’t punish her?”

“I didn’t say that; listen to me, little one.”

“Lena.”

“Habit,” Lena said with a smile. “But I didn’t say you don’t punish her, I said you don’t spank her.” Seeing Kara’s confused look, she explained, “Punishment isn’t always physical, Kara. There are a number of ways that I could have punished you, but physically, for you, was the most effective.”

“Well, I’m certainly glad for that,” Kara muttered, remembering, then giggled a little when Lena tapped her knee.

“This is what I mean when I say you can’t jump into this. If and when you’re ready to claim someone you have to tailor your methods to their needs, to their boundaries. You know being a Dominant means you don’t have free rein to do whatever you want, however you wish to do it.”

“I know,” Kara agreed quietly.

“And if that person is Y/N,” Lena pointed out, “You’re going to have to rethink absolutely everything you’ve learned and known up to this point.”

Kara stood up and began to mimic Lena’s earlier action of pacing across the floor. “Even what you’ve taught me?”

She didn’t think she could let go of that. She’d centered her entire life, her entire concept of claiming and relationships, around what she’d learned at Lena’s feet. Books had only been able to tell her so much, but actually being shown, experiencing it… those were the lessons that Kara felt like she’d never want to forget, or be able to. Lena had taught her so much, simple things like the power that came from kneeling. Who was really in control of certain situations. The importance of rules. How aftercare was imperative. Kara had learned that knowing she’d disappointed Lena was worse than the spanking she’d received, and that forgiveness afterwards was stronger than any guilt she could’ve ever carried. It was through Lena that Kara felt like she’d really learned her true nature as a Dominant. Letting go of that knowledge… Kara felt like she’d be lost, and she didn’t know how on earth she’d be able to find her own way. She’d come to Lena for help, for extra guidance, and suddenly she felt as if she’d just been thrown to the wolves.

“Not all of it,” Lena shook her head. “You can find different techniques, different safe words, different ways to train and discipline and punish. But the care, the concern, you don’t ever unlearn that, Kara. You never stop caring; you never stop making the well-being of your submissive the number one priority of your life, have I made myself clear?”

Kara grinned a little even as the tone made her shiver again. “Yes, Ma’am.”

Lena stood up and crossed the floor to Kara, placing her hands on the girl’s shoulder and gently kissing her forehead. “You’re a Dominant,” she said. “It’s here,” she tapped Kara’s temple. “And you need to act with your head first, because you don’t want to hurt her. But more importantly, you have to know with what’s in here.” She gently tapped Kara’s heart. “Here is where you’ll find what you need. And if what you need is her, then that’s where you’ll also find what she needs. Because what she’ll need, more than any discipline, more than any rules, more than anything else, is you.”

“When did you get so wise?” Kara asked with a sniff, laughing a little as a tear streaked down her cheek.

“Right about the time two girls came into my life. You might know one of them, a loud little blonde who’s far too stubborn for her own good?”

Kara smiled when Lena wiped the tears from her face with her thumbs. “And the other?” She grew serious as she asked, “She makes you happy?”

Now it was Lena’s turn to blush and duck her head. “Yes, yes she does,” she said, and moved with Kara to sit back on the couch.

“Tell me about her.”

“Sure you don’t want to see her?” Lena asked with a smirk. “She won’t mind being looked at.”

Kara’s mouth dropped open in shock. “No, no, that’s okay,” she said hastily. “I’m sure she won’t mind being looked at, but I rather mind looking.” She grinned a little sheepishly. “I’m afraid there’s only one girl I have my eye on.”

“And does this girl know you’re here?”

“Not yet. But she will.”

Suspend Your Disbelief

Note: Does this make sense? Unlikely. I wrote it instead of doing prep work for my finals. But I’m still posting it. Summary: Logan just wanted to eat lunch, not have some crazy hotshot sit down and start pushing the magic agenda on him. Good thing he was never going to see him ever again. Right? Warning: Non-consensual kissing (they both end up fine with it but it does happen), a few swear words

   Logan hated him. Utterly despised the smug bastard that was Roman whatever-his-last-name-was. Logan didn’t catch it and he currently didn’t care.

   “You have absolutely no proof of anything you’re saying.” Logan said angrily, gesturing around him. “I, on the other hand, have a plethora!”    “You only think you do.” The cocky arse replied with what Logan refused to describe as a winning smile. “But I can explain everything with one word.”

   “Don’t you dare.”

   “Magic.” Roman said with jazz hands, as if he were offering a movie option and not attempting to drive Logan mad.

   “Gravity?”    “Magic.”    “Plant growth?”

   “I’mma have to say magic.”

   “Rainbows?”    “Gay magic.”

   “Atoms!?”

   “You won’t believe me… but… magic.”

   Logan slid his seat back to faceplant in the table. Three science degrees, for this? To fight with some hotshot who recognized his face from his lectures and decided to ruin his lunch with this nonsense?

   “If you’re going to tell me you honestly, seriously believe this, this, insanity then why, pray tell, did you come over to talk to me?” Logan tilted his head to glare at Roman. “I’m a scientist. I actually use my brain.”

   “Not properly, clearly.” Roman replied, infuriatingly. Logan couldn’t even tell if he was joking or not.

   “I-”    “Oh, sorry Microsoft Nerd, but my ride’s here.” Roman interrupted, picking up his phone as it dinged. He patted Logan’s elbow with a smile. “Think about what I’ve said, would you?”

   “You’ve spoken only gibberish about magic.”

   “Only gibberish to some.” Roman replied while he got up, pulling a twenty out of his wallet and throwing it on the table. “Whatever you’re getting’s on me.” And with that, he twirled away from the table and headed off towards the parking lot.

   Logan resisted the unprofessional urge to growl as the near stranger wandered off. Sitting up in his seat, he crumpled the twenty in his hand. He hadn’t ordered anything yet, and after that conversation, he decided he’d prefer to eat at home. At least there was someone rational there.

   As he pulled out his own wallet to put the money in, he stopped when he found a white note coupled with the cash. He squinted at the excessively swirly writing.

Prince of Magic, Gay, and Truth- Roman

   Logan frowned at the note as if it was Roman’s face and he was still blabbering about the world all being run by magic and nothing else. He was sorely tempted to rip it to shreds and let it blow away in the breeze.

   “Sir, are you ready to order?”

   Logan stuffed the twenty and the note into his wallet instantly, looking up to answer the waitress, “I’m just going, thanks.”

   Slipping his wallet back into his pocket, he headed in the opposite direction of the parking lot, trying not to think about the stupid note from the stupid man in his pocket.

   “And you know what he said?”

   “Lemme guess.” Virgil deadpanned from where he was lounging on his bed, swiping through his phone. “Magic?”

   “Magic!” Logan rubbed his forehead. “Honestly, Virgil, he was the most infuriating person I’ve ever met! You two would get along splendidly, I’m sure.”

   “I’m insulted, Logan. I’m supposed to be the most infuriating person you’ve ever met.”

   “He’s an extremely strong contender.” Logan huffed. “Besides, you’re annoying simply because you’re annoying.”

   “Aw, thanks, Lo. I didn’t realize I meant that much to you.” Virgil cooed.

   “Just like that.” Logan said. “But Roman? He’s just wrong. Or pulling my leg. Or perhaps both. And he’s so cocky about it, like he knows everything, smiling the entire time, stupid winning smile and bright teeth he doesn’t deserve to have-”

   “Lo, have you considered you have a crush?”

   Logan jerked out of his position of existential crisis on the floor to face Virgil. “Are you mad?!”

   Virgil rolled his eyes. “God, Logan, you gay disaster, when’s the last time you had a crush that you can’t recognize one?”

   “I’ve not had a crush since first grade.” Logan responded. “And even then, really, he was just very good at drawing scales. Even with crayon, really, it was masterful-”    “I thought CIL-D (Classmate of Interest Letter- D) was just a good artist?” Virgil said with a shit-eating grin.

   Logan glared at him. “Shut up.”

   Virgil looked like he would not be shutting up about this for the foreseeable future. “Sure. That aside, I hate to break it to you, Logan, but you’re totally head-over-heels for this ‘prince.’”

   “I despise him with every fiber of my being.” Logan responded.

   “And yet, you still have his number.” Logan scowled at the white scrap Virgil was toying with in his hands. Showing him that was a mistake, apparently. “And despite the fact that he is, allegedly, an absolute fool, you won’t stop talking about him. Or thinking about what he said, even though it’s bullshit. And you just spent like a solid minute describing his smile.”

   “It’s a stupid smile.”

   “You called it winning and his teeth bright.” Virgil responded, flopping over on the bed to look at Logan while he taunted him. “You’re gay for him, Lo.”

   “Even if you’re right- and I am admitting on zero levels that you are- what does it matter?” Logan asked. “He just wanted to taunt me with his silly ideas. I highly doubt he’s interested.”

   “I’d say he’s super interested.”

   Logan leaned back on the nearest wall, which wasn’t very near, leaving him with just his head propped up as he met Virgil’s eyes and said, “Really? Virge, buddy, I know it’s hard living with a genius when all you do is dance-”

   “Now is not the time to mock my job and you’re just trying to avoid the real topic at hand.”

   “-but this is just getting to be a bit too far of a reach, don’t you think?” Logan finished, ignoring the interruption.

   Virgil rolled his eyes. “Logan, you’re one of the top scientists in the country, and yet, you refuse to talk to practically anyone.”

   “I speak with those who can stimulate my intellect.” Logan responded. “And you.”

   “Ha ha. Logan, those who stimulate your intellect are down to about five other scientists and people who ask super weird questions to frustrate you.” Virgil waved the phone number. “This Roman guy probably thought you looked cute and knew the only way to catch your interest was to be so incredibly stupid you couldn’t let the matter drop.”

   “I disagree entirely.” Logan replied, offended. “I don’t continue interactions with crazy fools for the sake that they’re incredibly foolish.”

   Virgil raised an eyebrow. “The concept of the sun is just a lie that the government uses to convince us that the ‘sun’ warms us, and not the radiation they leak into the atmosphere.”    “...There are so many things wrong with that, just to start with ancient peoples beliefs and sun gods before the government could exist to do anything about it,”

   Logan went on for a good three minutes before he recognized the grin on Virgil’s face. “I’ve been played.” He said immediately, cutting off a rant about how does one even fake the sun.

   “Yep.”

   “I hate you.”

   “Sureeee.” Virgil replied, swinging his feet off the bed and dropping the number on Logan’s lap. “Listen, Rem and me’s dance number starts in fifteen, so I’ve gotta go, but you should call the cute idiot while I’m gone.” Virgil winked as he reached the doorway. “Who knows. Maybe I’ll be the right one for once.”

   And with that comment, Virgil was out of the apartment. Logan frowned, turning back to look at the paper.

   He did not have a crush. Roman was infuriating. He didn’t have a nice smile, he didn’t look cute when he mocked Logan, he didn’t walk with a perfectly exaggerated swagger, and he wasn’t at all deserving of the princely title he had given himself.

   But it was Logan’s duty to at least and try to crush ignorance. And if Roman was going to be the most ignorant fool of them all, than Logan was practically legally responsible to properly correct him.

   With a deep sigh, he picked up his phone.

   Logan kicked another pebble. He was slightly (read: extremely) early for his meetup with Roman. Only because it worked better for him to take the earlier bus. Not because he was nervous. As he had pointedly told Roman multiple times via text, this was an informational conference to discuss his awfully flawed view of science and the natural world.

   Roman had eloquently responded with, “So, a nerd date?”

   Logan told him to come to the park if he cared or not before promptly turning off his phone. He felt foolish immediately afterwards, and turned it back on to check Roman had confirmed he’d be coming.

   Not that Logan cared if he came or not. He just didn’t have that much time in his life to waste.

   Logan realized he had been glaring at the poor kicked pebble for a few minutes at the same time he realized a car was entering the parking lot. It was a bright blue minivan. Logan wasn’t one hundred percent it was Roman’s style, per say (not that he cared what Roman’s style was), but when the idiot himself bounded out of the passenger side, he was forced to accept this was his ride.

   Out of the driver’s side came an equally energetic person wearing an oversized sweater and a ridiculously large smile.

   “See, Pat, I told you he’d beat us here.” Roman said while looking at Logan. Logan rolled his eyes.

   “I like to be punctual.”

   “If you say so.” Roman said, same stupidly egotistical etched on his face. “See you in a bit, Patton!”

   Patton waved at both of them. “Okay, Ro! Have fun on your date!”

   “It’s not a date!” Logan protested immediately.

   Patton giggled. “My mistake. Bye you two!”

   Logan turned his glare upon Roman while Patton drove off. “A date? Really? I thought we went over this.”

   Roman shrugged. “Patton gets the most absurd ideas in his head.”

   “Why do I have a sneaking suspicion you’re the reason he had that idea in his head?”

   “No clue, I’m sure.” Roman replied. “Now, shall we stroll gayily through the park and discuss matters of magic and fake science?”

   “Gayily?”

   “You know, happily?” Roman said, arching an eyebrow smugly. “What? Haven’t heard the definition?”

   “You’re a twat.”

   “So I’ve been told.” Roman started heading into the park. “Onwards!”

   Logan huffed before hurrying to catch up with him. As they walked past the flower beds that were planted at the park’s entrance, Logan took in disdainfully the casual dress Roman was wearing. Not that there was anything wrong with dresses, but the light pink-and-white colours with golden crown designs splattered across it were about as professional as a picnic.

   Roman apparently caught him staring, smirking at Logan as he said, “See something you like?”

   Logan immediately fixed his gaze forward, replying, “You’re dressed quite casually.”

   “It’s a walk in the park, literally.” Roman replied. “Unlike someone here, I don’t enjoy taking those in pressed slacks and ties.”

   “I had a meeting before this.” Logan lied. He didn’t have a meeting beforehand, he just refused to in any way, shape, or form play into Roman or Virgil’s fantasy that this was a date. “We don’t all have time on our hands.”

   “I’m insulted.” Roman said with an exaggerated gasp. “Us actors as very busy.”    “You’re an actor?” Logan said before mumbling to himself, “That explains a lot.”

   Roman caught the whisper. “Does it?”

   “I see now your imagination has run away from you, as I’m sure it’s prone to do living in the land of make-believe, and has given you the foolish idea that magic rules the world.” Logan explained.

   Roman rolled his eyes as he moved off the path to stand on the small observation deck sticking out of the park land and over the little lake that bordered it. “You know, I’m not the only one with these ideas.”

   “The world is sadly filled with a lot of weirdos.” Logan said, not minding the stop on the deck. It was slightly humid and he was starting to regret the slacks, anyways.

   “Well not everyone who believes it is a weirdo.” Roman responded. “Ever heard of Dr. Emile Picani?”

   Logan waved a hand. “Pretty top notch psychologist, yeah. Don’t tell me you think he believes this nonsense.”

   “No, I don’t think so. I do know so, however.” Roman grinned as if he had won the whole argument. “Talked to him a few days ago.”

   “Listen, I respect Emile. The fact that he’s so heavily incorporated Disney into everything he does is great. But it only stands that if he’s willing to be so deeply invested in such silly tales, then he might be swayed to believe in a world of magic.”

   “Silly tales? I’m sorry, are you insulting Disney?”

   Logan raised an eyebrow. “What? Irked they’ve yet to pick you up for roll of Evil Stepmother, Princess?”

   “An insult and a complimentary nickname?” Roman winked. “Careful, Teach, I might start thinking you’re flirting.”

   “That wouldn’t be very professional.”

   “That was a weak excuse.”

   “It’s not an excuse.” Logan corrected. “It’s the reason why I cannot currently be flirting with you. That’s not even getting into the fact you’re a self-centered, egotistical, half-brained fool who thinks he can prove any stupid idea with a nice smile and confident attitude-”

   Virgil had always said Logan ranted enough the only way anyone would ever be able to shut him up was by kissing him, teasing that would be his first kiss. Logan would roll his eyes and point out that no one these days had that type of confidence or desire to kiss a talkative nerd. Besides, slapping people was much more fun.

   Apparently, Roman whatever-his-last-name-was was part of the small percentage of people who had that confidence and possibly the only person who wanted to kiss a talkative nerd.

   Logan had just barely became aware of the fact that lips were pressed to his when Roman pulled back, lacking, for the first time around Logan, confidence.

   “I shouldn’t have done that.” Roman all but stuttered, blushing as he apologized. “God, I’m such a-”

   Logan wasn’t completely processing everything at this point but he had figured out not kissing Roman had left him feeling very put out and, hey, turnabout’s fair play, right? Roman seemed just as surprised as Logan was but neither of them pulled away before they needed to take a breath.

   Logan had instantly turned crimson before he turned to face the lake. Roman was the first to speak, with a light chuckle, saying, “Not flirting with me, eh?”

   “You kissed me first.” Logan responded, still not facing him.

   A beat of silence before, “Want to do it again?”

   Logan faced him once more, the front of his dress crumpled from where Logan only realized now he must have pulled him down to kiss him back (it wasn’t fair, really, Roman being a head taller than him) and that smug smirk back on his face.

   “You really are insufferable.”

   “You realize I did make up the whole ‘everything is just magic’ thing, right?”

   Logan pulled Roman down by his dress again, stopping right before the third inevitable kiss to ask,

   “Then what do you call this?”

   Roman’s mouth was immediately too preoccupied to answer this question, but to Logan, this time magic might have been the only realistic answer.

Ladynoir Month: Homework

First off, I wanted to say thank you to Starlin's ghost, for pointing out the error in the last chapter, I plan to go fix that either thoughts, or tomorrow morning. I greatly appreciate it! :D

Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy! On with the chapter.

In all honesty, Marinette had never been a fan of homework. It was a pain most days and when she slept in late— or was busy being Ladybug—she would always miss the lesson in class, thus leaving her clueless as to what to do for the assignment.

"Marinette," Tikki called softly over her shoulder. "You have patrol with Chat in ten minutes."

Oh, shoot. She had forgotten about patrol with her boyfriend— wow, that, that still felt weird on her tongue, a good weird though— And she really didn't want to cancel. They weren't even a month into their relationship, and she wanted to spend as much time with him as she could, seeing as they couldn't see each other as civilians.

That was the one part that really sucked.

Marinette sighed. "I know, Tikki. I just have to finish up this homework, it's due tomorrow."

Tikki fluttered around, and she knew the little kwami was thinking of ideas. "You could just take it with you."

She knew Tikki wouldn't have suggested the idea if she didn't think her identity was at stake. She was the one that always voiced the safety of identities. But Chat was a trustworthy partner, she knew he wouldn't peak, and Tikki knew that, too. "I know." She sighed. "I also know Chat wouldn't look, but the thought of bringing something so personal.."

"Marinette." Tikki's tone was understanding, but firm, unwavering. "As much as I worry a little from you two being together, if you're gonna be together, that means actually seeing each other. And you have so little of that now, why make it less when you can simply tell him that it's your homework and not to look."

The young designer knew she was right. "Yeah, true. Okay." She gathered her things and transformed in a flash.

Existing out her balcony, her excitement grew at the idea of seeing Chat.

Patrols may be their only thing considered as dates, but it was part of making the most of them and that was the best.

"And here I thought the only beautiful thing I would see tonight, were the stars from the heavens above, but then my girlfriend appeared and put them all to shame."

Said girlfriend rolled her eyes and skidded forward plopping down next to Chat, crossing her legs in front of her, settling her backpack into her lap before she leaned in sideways to press a kiss to his lips in greeting. "You are too cheesy sometimes, kitty."

He chuckled. "Nah, that's Plagg. He's too cheesy. I'm just the right amount."

She snorted, leaning into him as an arm fell to wrap around her waist. "How is Plagg by the way? I haven't seen him since Style Queen and that was a while ago."

Chat always told her how he loved her laugh, but she knew it had nothing on his. Her heart squeezed and expanded, almost knocking out her lungs, everytime. She hoped to hear it more often. "He's good. Demanding his cheese like usual. How's your kwami…?"

"Tikki." She supplied.

He nodded. "Tikki. How's she doing?"

Ladybug smiled as she cuddled closer, and was beyond pleased when she was rewarded with a small pur that began to vibrate from his chest. "She's good. Loves her sweets, but she's even sweeter than them."

If she thought his laugh was amazing, and his purring calming, it was beyond anything she could explain when both were happening. "She sounds pretty awesome. Wanna trade?"

She reached up blindly to boop his nose. "Nope," she laughed at his grumble of playful disappointment. "But she is the reason I decided not to cancel tonight."

He stiffened, and realized her bad choice of words. "Nothing because of you, kitty. I had homework," She hastily amended, "and I'm wary about bringing something like this by you, but I trust you. Just.. no looking."

They parted, and he nodded in understanding. "Of course, bugaboo. No worries." As if to emphasize his point, he covered his eyes. "See?" He said as he lifted his pinky to make sure he was looking, before lowering it back over his eyes. "Can't see a thing."

She covered her mouth to muffle the giggles, but a little still slipped through her finger cracks. "I know. But you don't have to cover your eyes. Just don't look down." He let his hand fall as she began to unzip the plain old backpack that she had stored away in her room. She was so thankful that she had it and it had nothing identifying her on it.

Pulling out her tablet, she paused as she realized that sitting in the position she was, would turn uncomfortable fast. She tapped his knee so he would part his leg, and have them on either side of the beam.

He did so without hesitation, and she turned her back to him, and scootched until she was snuggled comfortably against his chest. She could feel his chest contract at her touch, and she had to stifle her giggles before they got the better of her.

She turned her head halfway to get a sideways glance at him. "This okay, kitty?"

His body deflated as realized that this was okay, and she was happy within his space."Yeah." Chat's arms slipped securely around her waist, as she felt the little weight of his chin resting on top of her head. She could imagine him having his eyes closed so he couldn't see her homework below. "This is perfect, bugaboo."

Turned out, homework wasn't so bad, as she once thought.

An hour and a half later, and her homework was finished. Chat had actually helped with two physics questions that she just couldn't get down. Thankfully, they were pretty random questions and if he noticed them being anything similar to a possibility— because she had come to terms with the idea that there was a chance— he didn't say anything.

But what Ladybug did notice, was that he was a whizz at physics. Apparently, he had a knack for it, and loved it more than he let on. Which brought her to the question of if he might want to be a physic teacher one day.

That obviously stumped him as he openly gawked at her. It saddened her heart that that seemed to be the first time anyone really asked him that. "I… I don't know. Never really thought about it, honestly." He muttered.

Her frown drooped lower. Well, they were gonna have to change that, now weren't they? "What do you want to do?"

Chat's eyes went out onto the city as he really, for the first time in his life, thought about what he wanted. "I'm not sure. I've always been in the headspace that I'll be working for my father's company for a long time, and after that, he would be the one telling me where I'll be working or what I'll be doing with my life."

Her tongue clicked, and she felt the anger start to rise. "That's just not gonna do." She turned to face him, eyes deadlocked on his, and nothing but strong will dancing in the iris. "You, Chat Noir, have so many choices ahead. Whatever you wanna do, you're gonna do them for you. Be it, a physics teacher, swimming, basketball player, whatever."

His eyes held tears, but they didn't fall. "No one's ever given me that choice before."

She wanted to hurt whoever was supposed to care. "Well, now you do. Whatever you wanna do, for you." She brought her hands up to cup his face. "And I'll be there to support you all the way. That's a promise. Because whatever future has in store for us, we'll face it together."

His catty smirk wiped away the solum hold on his lips, and her heart nearly burst, because there was her kitty. "So, what you're saying, is that you see yourself in my future?"

Heat instantly flooded her face as she began to stutter. Dang, it. "I-I mean… of c-course. If.. you think.."

He laughed, drawing her into him and nuzzled her head. "You're something else, m'lady. Of course I see you next to me. Our future together. I do like the idea that. I know that while I may have other options, teaching sounds really cool."

She smiled as she dug her nose into his chest a little more. A few seconds later, and a yawn came barreling out of her mouth followed by a quiet sigh.

Because whenever she yawned, Chat knew. "Looks like a certain little bug is getting tired."

"No." She grumbled. Tightening her arms around his waist. "I want to stay here for a little while longer."

But he was insistent. "You need sleep, bug. C'mon. We'll see each other soon enough."

She huffed, but relinquished her hold and pulled back. "Fine." She stowed everything back into her backpack, and got ready to take off for home. "Stupid cat boyfriends and caring about their girlfriends." She mumbled under her breath.

He still heard her and laughed. "And, bug?" She turned back to look at him."Thank you. For making me realize I have options in my future, for always believing in me."

"Someone has to." She teased as she leaned up to press a tender kiss to his lips. "And I always will."

What would your ideal drarry fic be? Like, how would they get together, what tropes would be involved, what would be your ideal story line? Any squicks or triggers or things you aren't interested in? Any HC's with the two of them? :D

THIS IS THREE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED AND SIXTY SEVEN WORDS OR SOMETHING HELP ME

Whoo boi, honey, lemme tell you, this answer gave me some s t r e s s. Tumblr, can you just...idk, have a save drafts option for asks? No?

Anyways, back to the point. Snuggle down into your blankets y’all, ‘cause this is gonna be one long post.

What would my ideal drarry fic be? Okay, siriusly, legit anything with angst. Copious amounts of angst. Drown me in the angst. I’m always willing to read an angsty fic, almost always as willing to read a fluffy fic and occasionally have an urge for smut but that’s like…every three months or so lmao. I prefer a story that isn’t based on the size of one’s cock. (Sorry if that’s a little crude). I’m fine with any length of fic, as long as it has a good story behind it and if it hopefully has some heart-wrenching moments that make me feel like I might have a soul after all. I love fics that keep their character – not too much, though – and have them arguing with each other all the time – its more real to me, and makes me laugh. I love drarry because of that, because it’s that ship that will keep their relationship, unlike idk shrek and Fiona who fall for each other and lose their old self completely. Drarry is that ship that stays intact and old and new at the same time, and that’s why I love it. 

How would they get together? I have this vision of the two getting together slowly. First it’s banter, insults, hexing, all the while having miscommunication and some serious pining because I’m an absolute sucker for that shit. As I said, angst. Hate turns to like and death threats to exasperated, witty little replies, private jokes between the two of them – a Malfoy Stinks embroidered on his robes in place of Healer Malfoy.

I love fics where there’s just that one, final leap of – I have to do it, otherwise I’ll never get another chance, I don’t care about the consequences. If it’s a kiss that gets them together, in that ‘final chance’ way, I love it when the other is too shocked, and the first person just loses all hope (I mean until like two seconds later when they’re snogging the life out of each other lmao). Basically just a slow build and all the sass 😊 

Tropes? Okay, I’m gonna admit that even though I’ve been in the fandom for a few months, I still can’t define so much, but I hope most of what I write here is legible.

I love coffeeshop Aus, I find them really cute and sweet, and a blushing Malfoy is always a bonus. Eighth year is my absolute jam, unless it’s a drinking fic in which case no thanks. I love friends to lovers or enemies to lovers – the slow build, especially if the author has timed it perfectly, is just argh, I love it. Pining has been mentioned like a hundred times already but I’m going to say it again just because. Roommates are okay, I guess, but not exactly my go-to. I do like muggle Aus, and even though I think Potter should be a teacher, I enjoy the action in an Auror Partners fic, too. Also uh..oops? This was supposed to be tropes that were involved not the tropes you like you dumb butt. That’s not what Nonny asked.

My ideal storyline for a drarry fic? Not sure if this is what you’re asking but I’m gonna go with it and if I’m wrong then I’m wrong y’know?

As I said, I like fics with pining. I love a number of storylines, but I’m just gonna choose one for this thing since it’s already almost if not over two thousand words (is anyone even reading this? Who cares, I’m having fun) okay I checked its like over 2600 help me. Also this turned out into a fic not an ideal storyline hhhhhhhh

I guess I like fics with slow-building pining, going from meeting together at work or having to work together for some reason in eighth year, or just seeing each other in eighth year. PTSD gets them together, but so does the (admittedly weaker) banter, since nobody understands either of them – the Saviour and the Ex Death Eater. The press is still going off about the war, and everyone has their own ways of coping. Soon enough, they’re friends – (ok let’s pretend this is eight year) and helping each other through the bad days. And soon enough, the insults that hit closer to home for others but not them, the inside jokes, the love of Quidditch, the homework assistance – all this time around each other turns to pining. Malf-Draco, with his white-blond hair and black turtlenecks that he kept even though that was what he wore as a Death Eater. With his now self-deprecating jokes instead of hurtful insults. With his smile, that shows his sneer lines of the past. With his blue-gray eyes. With his knowing smirk when they’ve done one of their own eighth year pranks. Even with his wonky Charms and obsession with stroking the Dark Mark and the way he stops in front of the Room of Requirement every time they pass. And Harry, with his mop of untidy hair and glasses that have had Reparo used on them who knows how many times by now? With his bright green eyes, with his surprisingly pale skin, with the way he disappears into the forest every now and then, staring at the clearing where Voldemort once thought him dead. They pine, they’re oblivious, and finally, Pansy spills it to draco, an exasperated ‘will you kiss him or not’ just as Harry rounds the corner in his invisibility cloak. ‘are you stupid. Pans? We’re just friends.’ (wow ideal storyline this is a mini fic by now what am I doing with life my math sheet is like right in front of me I should be doing that). The questions, that night, in their respective beds. And the finale, with Harry rethinking ‘we’re just friends’ in his head in the final Seeker-to-seeker game, Draco leaning in.

Finally. 

Okay, squicks. Here we go. First of all, I don’t really like fics where they speak really…I don’t know, childishly? To each other eg. too many cheesy pet names (‘Hi hun,’ he giggled, taking the offered plate), since my idea of drarry is a couple that banters all the time, not one that sits around squealing at each other. That’s the main reason I ship them, after all.

Another squick, although this just annoys me more than makes me uncomfortable, is when there’s a fic involving children where the author makes their speech like that of a baby. Five year olds and younger can make legible sentences, so it’s sometimes irritating when eight-year-old Scorpius is saying ‘dada give h-h-hoog’ if you get my drift.

Daddy kink is another thing. If you like it, good for you but personally, I- *shudders* no thanks. It’s just – okay, my dad’s like over fifty, and that’s what I imagine if I think of that. Sex with my dad? I’ll pass. Calling your boyfriend your ‘daddy’? I- no no no just no I’m sorry but no.

Okay, I’ll rephrase. Most, if not all kinks make me uncomfortable – I’ve said daddy already, Parseltongue (just any other language) is just weird to me (it’s not disgusting, I just find it kind of dubious I guess.), any sort of pet play is similar if not worse than daddy kink, choking or breath play sounds more like rape (I’m crude, handle it), lingerie is just hella weird and I don’t even want to know what tentacles are, thank you very much. I’ll stick to my vanilla sex.

Any sort of sex toy/tool use is also a squick (including painful BDSM stuff), but I’m not sure if that’s kink so I’ll just add it here.

I don’t mind OOC fics, but, again, if they’re too soft (unless it’s some sort of caring angsty oneshot e.g. most of @rose-grangerweasleyisbae ‘s ones) then they most likely don’t work with me either. 

Triggers? No, I haven’t read any fics that have triggered me in any way and I’m not sure if I have any. Most are squicks.

Fics, or tropes, I guess, that I’m not interested in would include either one being some sort of Magical Creature (although there are some exceptions – some writers make really good fics with these tropes), and by that I mean any humanoid creature such as a werewolf, vampire etc. Veela especially. Also, anything with mates. (Fun fact, in my first answer that got deleted, I wrote a headcanon fic thing with draco as a bowtruckle since I said I don’t know if that’s a squick bc I’ve never read it and decided to do it for fun)      

Dunno what this is, but I’m gonna include it as well – I also don’t like fics where their entire supposedly ‘loving’ relationship is completely based on sex. I’m okay with it if they’re supposed to be fuckbuddies at that point in the relationship, but if this is what the author is calling their ‘established relationship’, I don’t really like it. 

Any fic that loses the banter after their getting together, where their world and source of happiness is completely revolving around the other – that is also one of my disinterests. As I said, I ship drarry for the sass and banter (and angst). Not the sappy love. 

I don’t really like unhealthy relationships – I read a fic where the whole reason Draco allowed Potter to date him was because he complimented his flying skills, not because he liked him. That’s a really minor example, but basically any fic without actually liking each other or as I said, an unhealthy relationship, doesn’t take my fancy. Unless, of course, they’re fixing it. 

A fic that starts somewhere in the books, eg. third year or something, don’t normally take my fancy, but, again, there is the occasional exception that I turn out to love.

Not exactly Drarry but any poly relationships with the two of them are also a disinterest – I feel like they’re the ones for each other. Dunno if this sounds polyphobic or whatever it’s called, and it probably does, but that’s not it. I just personally don’t think Drarry need another person. Other ships, maybe. Drarry? Not for me. 

Eighth year fics that are based on drinking and drinking games also aren’t my thing (omg there’s like eight million alsos here what am i doing don’t shoot me please (ok i fixed it)). I just don’t like them. 

And fics with any sort of bonding lose my interest pretty quickly, especially sexual magic bonds. Mpreg, as well, again, I’ll read the occasional fic but most of the time I don’t really like it. 

Age difference, again, are something I find strange, and I can go on for hours but this is now around three thousand words and I should stop so y’all can go read your fics lmao.

 And um I’ll give you two headcanons as my way of apologising for the unbelievably late reply

 Harry, lying on the ground, blood dripping from a massive slash in his stomach, chest barely moving, lips slightly parted, tinged red with drying blood

Malfoy, now just a colleague, they’ve lost the schoolboy animosity, hovering over him, wand casting diagnostic spells even though he knows they’re no use – he knows the curse but he doesn’t know the exact variation – and the wrong healing spell will kill the Saviour – he can’t take that chance.

‘Scared, Malfoy?’

His head jerks up, pale eyes widening at the old question thrown back at him. Shoulders slump, his lungs heaving from all he spells he’s cast

‘Yes’ 

Idk just the idea of that final admittance – yes. Idk, just, my heart, man.

Okay headcanon 2 which is more of a fic by this point (someone help me im so bad at headcanons. Like this is all fleshed out in my head but ugh)

Eighth year holidays, Draco is sitting alone at the blazing fire in the common-room, strangely enough knitting, as he talks, friendly but quiet to a surprisingly happy Moaning Myrtle (the common room is where the old bathroom was)

Hermione Jean Granger sits down next to him and he flinches, almost expecting a slap like third year – he’s had hexes from Muggleborns who had nothing to do with the war, and here’s the Saviour’s friend – of course she’s gonna –

She pulls out a massive textbook, quill, inkpot, blotting paper and three rolls of parchmment from her bag, tucks her bushy hair behind one ear, and starts scratching away

He’s surprised, but still too nervous to ask why

It becomes a habit, her sitting there there, him as well, talking to Myrtle, doing Potions work, knitting as well

They start talking to each other, he finds out she Obliviated her parents and doesn’t want to come back just yet, even though she knows the Dark Lord’s gone

She finds out he’s too scared to go home, with all the memories

They become friends of sorts, helping each other when they can

When the holidays end, there are a few double takes, but nobody really questions it. After all, it’s Hermione, she never was too against Malfoy (nobody really saw that slap) and she’s always been a rule-follower. They assume its part of Mcgonagall’s asking for peace between Slytherins and Gryffindors

I mean, Ron does complain about her hanging about the ferret nowadays and not around her boyfriend, but he gets it. Besides, their ‘sessions’, if you will, are always when there’s Quidditch practice for Harry and Ron (they help train the younger years)

So yeah, it’s not too bad (and this isn’t Dramione I promise although I do ship it occasionally)

One day, though, she brings out a bundle of knitting herself. To his surprise, she knits a single sock and puts it in a box

He asks her why

‘For Dobby’

And he remembers. He remembers the strange little house elf, the one he loved as a kid but had no way of showing it. He remembers his father’s hatred of that elf in particular He remembers scowling at the poor thing, ranting to it – it was a way of venting, but in true Malfoy-raised fashion, he’d been so cruel to it as well, laughing as it jammed its fingers in doors, encouraging its pain.

He leaves the common room early that night

Next day, the Golden Trio isn’t there. Hermione (no longer Granger) isn’t there

He knitted a single sock that morning himself. He’d heard the story from their talks. He wanted to contribute. A way of apology, if you will. If it even counted. Today’s the day the elf passed away, and Hermione had said she put a sock in there for everyone

It’s pretty obvious where they’ve gone. He Apparates there after class, and finds the grave easily. It’s got a bundle of Conjured flowers, stems wrapped around the rock that serves as a headstone, and the box of socks is right there too. (what am I doing this is meant to be a short drarry hc and I haven’t even brought potter in yet help)

He starts crying

He spent last night remembering. Remembering how even through all the pain he caused that elf, a single smile, a single ‘thanks for listening, Dobby’ would make the elf bow and weep at his feet. He remembers how cruel he was, how the elf just…took it in his stride. He remembers losing the house elf, realising Potter had stolen something else of his. He remembers

And he lets it go. He spills all of it to a gravestone, apologies and ‘I know it won’t mean anything’ and ‘I didn’t know but that’s no excuse’ and ‘you always listened, how did you always listen?’ and ‘thank you’ and most of all ‘I’m so so sorry’ stumbling over each other as he tries to explain, to finally let it out

And Malfoy uses his own spell and a litre of Sleekeazy every morning

But since everyone else cuts their own hair, it looks as bad as each other

After-thought inspired by The Sleeping Realm Theory

Spoilers for anyone who hasn’t read this detailed theory about Kingdom Hearts 3.

Props to the people who compiled this theory--it was very convincing and really interesting because it took factors from KH3 and previous games that I missed or haven’t thought of in that way. 

Also major spoilers for anyone who hasn’t played or watched the cutscenes of KH3, 

So here’s my thought after reading The Sleeping Theory twice now. 

There’s a section specifically talking about Kairi and the unusual Dakrside you fight in the very beginning of the game--in the Final World. 

According to the Theory as well as Tetsuya Nomura during an interview, The Final World is the last stop before death. Keep in mind that in previous KH games, we’ve been to the Station of Waking several times--the dark space that’s then alighted with stained glass. 

In the very beginning of the KH3, Sora is taken to The Final World after the player has chosen their stats. Just like in KH1, we are to fight the Darkside.

Normal Darkside. 

But the Darkside in KH3 is different:

 As you can see here, this Darkside is indeed abnormal. 

In the Sleeping Realm Theory, the authors note that Kairi’s death (#longlivequeenkairi) is very strange. She was struck in the back by Xehanort’s Keyblade to make the final key to create the X-blade and to motivate Sora. 

But when she died, her body became very transparent, crystal-like ice that shatters. This is first seen when Xion’s replica body was destroyed in 358/2 Days--ice-like crystals begin to encase her body until she finally shatters and she went back to Sora. 

For Kairi, her heart wasn’t present or released when her body shattered. So the Theory authors and many fans are asking the question: where did Kairi’s go?

Then there’s the section about Kairi’s Chirithy ears. 

(Honestly, ya’ll can read the Theory on your own to find out what I’m talking about.)

The point I’m trying to get at is: what if after Sora defeats the abnormal Darkside in the very beginning does represent Kairi in some way? No, i’m not saying that Kairi has darkness in her heart because of her status as a Princess of Heart. Rather, what if the abnormal Darkside is defeated and brings back Kairi?

Bare with me here. 

At the end of the battle against Xehanort, Sora leaves to find Kairi. And in the very ending, we see those two sitting on the paopu tree holding hands. But then Sora fades away, leaving Kairi alone sitting on the tree. 

(Sora: Kairi, I don’t feel so good...) Too soon?

Interestingly enough, the Theory authors actually note a very important piece that’s easy to miss unless you’re paying close attention. 

In the ending where everyone is playing on Destiny Island, the sky above them is a sunset hue consisting of orange, pink, and yellow.

The picture with Isa (gloriously basking in the sunset) shows a clear shot of the paopu tree. 

the picture above clearly displays Kairi and Sora on the paopu tree. But notice the color of the sky--along the with sunset hues of orange, pink, and yellow, there’s also a splash of blue/periwinkle . 

If you compare this picture to the previous sunset pictures, there’s no hint of blue or clouds blocking the sun. 

you could argue that the Sora and Kairi pictures occur the same time that the sunset is transitioning to night time--meaning that a few minutes after everyone has had their fun and they look towards the shore, Sora and Kairi appear on the tree. 

However! the Theory authors notes that everyone else appears to be looking at something else--the ocean and not the tree. Except for Roxas, Xion and Namine who all appear to be looking at the tree. The Theory authors make this statement:

“ These are two different points of a sunset, two different times, and two different worlds. “

If what the authors are saying are true, then Sora and Kairi would be in different Destiny Islands than everyone else or vice-versa. 

To sum up my point: What if the abnormal Darkside is Kairi? If The Final World in the very beginning of KH3 takes places after the game, that would mean that Sora has used the Power of Waking one last time to find Kairi.

He went through the Station of Awaking--the dark space with stained glass--first then went to The Final World and fights the abnormal Darkside. After he defeats it, he and Kairi somehow end up in a different Destiny Islands, only for Sora to fade away and end up in Shibuya.

What do you guys think? There’s still a lot we don’t know and Nomura hasn’t confirmed anything about the abnormal Darkside or how Sora manages to find/ bring back Kairi, so this post is just my thought. I could be wrong; who knows?

Additionally, now that it’s been speculated and confirmed that the Station of Awaking takes place after each game and is a reflection of Sora’s thoughts and feelings of the journey he just went through, it got me thinking about the Others: 

-BBS:This Station of Waking is different from what we’ve been used to because it doesn’t go through the same motion. Instead, you pick between Terra, Aqua, and Ventus who you, the player, will want to start the story/game. 

-KH2: Roxas enters the Station of Awaking and has to fight the Nobody called Twilight Thorn. Is this a reflectio/Chi-n after Roxas left the first Organization 13 or is it a reflection after KH2?

-KH Union X [Cross]: in this Station of Awakening, the player is introduced to the power of Light, the Keyblade, and are given an option to choose which Union they want to be in (#vulpesunion). Once you’ve chosen your union, you also fight a Darkside. So is that a reflection after the player’s death in KHU/Chi?

Qurosuke would walk to the opposite side of his King-sized bed, the place where his cat Gano was sleeping soundly and peacefully. In terms of length, he was taking 1/3 of the bed despite being king-sized. Qurosuke would then frantically shake the black and white cat in an attempt to wake him up.

Almost in an instant, Gano woke up in surprise in his sudden break from his slumber but quickly calmed down when he saw that his master was the one that woke him up. Gano groaned in annoyance while speaking " Master, you almost scared the crap out of me. I was having such a good dream too. Why'd you wake me up like that at 6:00?
