For the longest time i thought it was a cute innocent ship, yk? And then i rewatched it and fuck did u feel bad for donnie. The level of second hand embarrassment i got from watching him try to pour his heart out was too much for me. I mean i kinda hate how April is written too? I mean they could have done so much cooler with the character! I mean a teenager who is half alien, has physic powers, and is friends with vigilantes is such a cool concept but no they had to make her a jackass to the only people crushing for her + drops her friends the second she feels threatened.

HOLY FUCK AMERI IS SUCH A GOOD CHARACTER but the romance bits popped into the manga make me so so mad like. shes a nicely built character with motivations and flaws and different facets of her personality but the way she pushes a "my boyfriend iruma who i will seduce using the tricks and tips i find in shoujo manga" is so deeply annyoing to me because its all the thinks about around iruma like. if they didnt interact id find it a lot more tolerable, even just funny -- shes a lot like the warden from nanbaka except that she actually interacrs with the crush which sends everythibg downhill for me -- as it is its just downright painful to read. that and the fact that she gets so jealous about iruma interacting with other girls like... girl..... he is not your bf.... calm.... maybe thats just person-with-crush behaviour but holy shit it annoys the heck out of me fr

ALSO the fact that she gets sm screentime when she spends the majority of it fantasising makes me so so frsutrated when we have so many good side characters that nishi could -- and is willing to, but hasnt yet -- focussed on!! like give me more agares backstory!!! ix!!! caim!!!! i want to know more about them, not read more of ameri's reader inseet fantasies with iruma!!!!!

like i know in my brain that thats meant to be part of the appeal for the ship like the gap moe and the cute little crush but it falls so short for me and i feel like its a waste of time especially when iruma has such brilliant chemistry with the love trio already. i think it would function so much better as a friendship purely because they have so much to offer each other. but im also aware that a lot of this ship lets ameris other personality traits shine. its just that i really fucking hate the ship so i wish there could be another way to do that without taking up so much screentime. she is just so so irritating to me and by extension so is the ship. thank you for listeninf to my ted talk

YAE MIKO: She's not a dozen, she's actually very talented, but she sometimes fucks up to see how her fans will defend the stupid shit she does, ik she getting into all kinds of crazy scandals and shit, has 8 dating scandals per year, lazy dancing articles, the thing is sometimes she is lazy dancing because she can't be bothered. she's very uncensored to her fans none of that idol personality and she does as much skin ship as possible (with Ei obvs)

KUJOU SARA: this girl is sick of the shit that that fans are making her do in fancalls and meetings, she expressed her love for birds ONCE and now they making her do bird noises and shit. You can see the life drain out of her everytime she does it. probably lead dancer and main rapper, and trust she writes her own shit. and I know she was going off pre-debut dissing everyone and their extended family. Her reactions to stages are definitely used as memes too.

EI: She's the leader and face of the group, definitely the most popular. She's kinda mysterious in a way that's what most people think, but she's actually really simple lmao, she fine with fanservice (with yae) and does it willingly but most of the time it's just her being her, mukbangs as streams to fans and that are like once every two months, never goes on variety shows but has a lot off modelling opportunities. definitely has the most antis.

AYAKA: her fans are the Ei antis PFFT. she the second most popular and like the nations princess, always lovely and kind unlike her fans lmao, she (and miko) go on the most variety shows, many of her fans feel she's most excluded from the group but in the most indirect way possible she'll try to assure that she's fine but then her fans take that as yeah she's defo in trouble lmao. she's a lil stressed because of all the expectations to be perfect cus all her other members are doing they're own thing but she hangs with yoimiya in her free time then BOOM the teyvat equivalent of dispatch shows up. Has one post on Instagram, it has over 3 million likes. most of her fans are advocating for #AyakaGoSolo

YOIMIYA: An all rounder soloist idc idc she was in a group when she was younger but then turned solo and blew up in popularity not because of her music (because her tt's are sometimes ass (yoimiya gives me hyuna vibes (mid 2010s tho cus her music now is- [train goes by]))) and clear talent but rather for her energy and how fun she is on variety shows, gets along very well with Ayaka and everyone wants them to collab. she unawarely(?) does fanservice but she's the type of person to tell her fans to touch grass and stop thinking of marrying her cus it's weird! loves live streams and vlogs with her dad and has over 3 mil on her YouTube.

KOKOMI: The IU of the industry, and shifted from her lil (very popular) acting career to music to see what she truly into, on variety shows she seems calm and loving and all that jazz but ik she's stressed as fuck not to mention very secretive, she hardly tells her fans shit. hardly anyone knows her, but anyway yassss her voice is pretty, 50/50 on the good songs and her stages are fire ik it.

SAYU: She's a teen trainee, when she goes on competition shows to show her skills ik those judges always calling her cute and that makes her PISSED LMAO she's a good dancer but she slacks off and that gets whatever groups she's in mad as hell like that one girl from gp999, yet she somehow manages to eat them up, singing is not her strongest point though, she more of a main dancer and sub rapper if anything

I honestly agree that Tony gets maybe a *bit* too much spotlight (especially after the CACW shit and fans picking team tony/steve), and I hate that Stephen is just used as a plot device. I don't get why exaggerating a char's innocence is a good thing. Especially if they put other characters *too* antagonised and spiteful. It's petty. And putting another character in it (refer this as Stephen) as a plot device to make the main char more angelic is just.... idk. I'm only using rather insensitive words bcs I'm on anon ngl hahahahah.

Which is why, when I found your ao3 profile, I felt like you saved my life. Cus like. Idk. It's rare to find fics alike. Not really good with words so yeah.

Also thanks sm for tagging your fics properly, lest I wouldn't have found your works.

Ik some authors who share the same idea with the matter, but either they wanted to reach a wider fanbase by venturing into ships and fulfilling people's cravings (that require an ooc stephen, wince), or they simply don't have the writing capabilities to match their intentions -- like you do -- yet, I'm not so sure.

So basically yeah. Binge read your works this week. You're doing super great. Please keep going or else I would've probably never been here in the first place.

Hey it's all chill, my anon friend. I really try not to hate on folks, even when I don't agree with everything they say or do. The world needs more empathy after all. And you've done nothing wrong in this ask here.

I personally don't ignore asks. It may take a month or two to get to some as it has in the past during busy or bad seasons, but I get to them. (I also don't get a ton so they're easy to answer haha.) The only ones not answered are short fic prompts that have taken me over 2 years to get to, which I'd like to finish eventually... some day.

I expanded on the topic about other characters in the last ask so I won't get into it again here, but I will say that unfortunately Stephen is not a terribly popular character compared to many other MCU characters like Tony, Bucky, and Loki. It makes finding fic starring him very challenging. He's also a difficult character to write well, though I applaud folks for trying, truly. It's great when people challenge themselves and don't let the fear of failure or judgement keep them from trying.

Anyone who hasn't written Stephen because they're not sure how to write him, or have written him but aren't confident with their writing of him, I recommend rewatching his origin film in particular as that's often forgotten for what we saw in IW and Endgame. There's also some good video essays about the character on YouTube. Some fanfic of him is good, while others are very bad, so it's a hit or miss there. One shot character pieces that are not concentrating on a ship tend to be more reliable, in my experience, for a better character analysis because the goal of the piece as a one shot is more a character study, and without the romance you aren't looking at the character as part of a unit. You need to know the character before you study how he works as a romantic partner, IMO.

I'm hoping his film helps his popularity, but I do have some fears that it will be drowned out a bit by Wanda. We'll have to see what happens on AO3 in particular, which is where my primary fandom interest lies in this case. I really, really want to see fic that isn't just reader inserts. Totally legit fanfic, but romance is already not my cup of tea and, if they aren't just smut pieces, those tend to be caretaker-Stephen fics which are a dime a dozen with his fics with Tony and Peter. So yeah, hopefully there will be more variety in the coming weeks. Of the action/adventure/drama type. A girl can dream.

Non-Byleth Gay/Lesbian Paired Endings

Reposted cus tumblr ate the previous post??? For some reason??

I’ve seen lots of people on tumblr who don’t know about this yet so Reminder that paired endings between students in Three Houses are a thing, ranging from the expected hetero options to wonderfully gay pairs.

Without spoiling the content of the supports or the text of the endings, here’s some of the gayest/most sapphic paired endings I’ve found so far:

Guys:

Caspar/Linhardt: Ikesoren. They’re pretty much Ikesoren except much more lighthearted and with this Soren being taller than his Ike lol. I’m pretty sure these two are a deliberate nod to Ikesoren with how similar their endings are.

Caspar/Ashe: Although this one reads a bit different cus of the wording, I almost kinda wonder if Ashe is the “Ranulf” to Caspar’s “Ike”.

Dimitri/Dedue: Beautifully worded and wholesome, probably the most openly gay male pair the game has. The ending has a touch of sadness in it but is still super soft and sweet, brimming with tenderness and devotion. Their A support has some very touching, precious moments as well. Highly recommend these supports + ending.

Dimitri/Felix: Overall kinda angsty and intense with somber, darker supports but still a good and well written ending, just a bit melancholic in its implications. Even with the angst of the text, their joint ending expands a bit on how deep Felix’s softer feelings for Dimitri are beyond what their supports show (without having Felix’s tsundereness getting in the way) and implies an extremely deep bond was made over the years that was obvious to everyone around them.

Sylvain/Felix: Needs special requirements to happen but if fulfilled, its probably the most overtly gay of the male paired endings after Dimitri/Dedue. The A support is split up in two parts (so it’s basically a branch with A and A+ supports) and the second part really pleasantly surprised me with how cute and heartfelt it was. The wording in their ending slide gives this pair a very “fated/meant to be” vibe that not even explicitly romantic hetero endings give so I definitely recommend trying this one too.

Hubert/Ferdinand: One I personally did not expect at all but boy does it really deliver. They get so close to each other that it’s even mentioned that Edelgard herself feels jealous of how great their relationship is. Their supports are adorable and they get all flustered and cute around each other. Very quality gay, highly recommend as well.

Girls:

Dorothea/Petra: Sweet paired ending in which they are very openly girlfriends and they don’t give a fuck about what anyone thinks of their relationship. Dorothea is a bi icon and honestly pretty much all of her pairings with women are just good food.

Dorothea/Edelgard: Not Dorothea’s most sapphic ending but definitely one of Edelgard’s. Dorothea lays it on thick in their supports and makes her crush on Edelgard very obvious.

Dorothea/Manuela: Age gap. They end up very openly in love and very happy together though.

Edelgard/Manuela: Age gap. Still one of Edelgard’s most overt paired endings with women that makes sure to specify neither she nor Manuela ever married men.

Mercedes/Anette: These two have around a 6 year age gap and they’re more like just BFFs before the timeskip maybe because of it but it’s made pretty obvious that they end up having a much deeper relationship later on in life.

Catherine/Shamir: Their ending together is not overtly open about the nature of their relationship BUT their supports are seriously sapphic af so with that in mind, I think they absolutely are in lesbians together in their ending and not simply as business partners.

There’s maybe more paired endings like these but these are all the ones I know of that are the gayest. Share/reblog to sail a ship and you can add more in the notes if you know of more.

- el looked over at yeonjun who was doing the same to you, remembering going to the ramen restaurant once a week. thank god it closed at 4 am, or those fun times would have ceased to have existed. the owner of the restaurant would ask if el and jun were dating, and their reactions would be the same disgusted but bright red faces. then not going to the restaurant the week before monthly evaluations to stay up and work out so the trainers wouldn’t get suspicious. bringing the other members along too and getting shipped wAYYY too much, both of them secretly enjoying the thought of people thinking that they would make a good couple. during snow days, they’d have snowball fights after eating to “burn off calories” ksndxbsb. + yeonjun inspiring el to write songs

- el knew jun were thinking of those same memories just by the way he was looking at her

- tbh it didn’t come as a surprise. both had been telling the members of txt abt how perfect and amazing each other were. and who in the world would trust the members of txt to keep a secret snndbsh. ngl both el and jun had thought it was a joke at first, that such a dorky, talented, beautiful person would like them, until bin kyu tae and kai set up multi-step plans to make each other unintentionally confess their feelings

- it took them like 3 weeks to come up with some shit ass plan but at least it worked

- the reason why they still didn’t confess was cus they were just too shyuyhyyyy awww 😩

- but hey they finally confessed yay :))

- they had decided to keep it a secret (that they confessed) to mess with the members. and tbh they rly liked it when they were shipped sndbdbshwidk

- so jun and el started datinggg big happy

- except el was so busy and she couldn’t reveal to the public that she’s dating either...

- but they made it work :((

- jun and el would go to the ramen restaurant as regular dates
