No, I am not a misogynist because I hate 2012 April. I actually love literally all five female characters they put in the show except her (Wow writers...) I'm a fucking feminist lesbian. Disliking a female character does not make you a misogynist. I honestly think a lot of her slander is undeserved, but I'd be a goddamn liar if I didn't say I kinda (ok I love it) enjoy participating in it. HOWEVER, I do not think she is a bad person. Is she snippy, rude, entitled, and kinda a brat in my eyes? Yeah, no dip. Do I think she's evil and intentionally trying to seduce every guy she sees into being her man slave? Uh no. I think she's annoying and I dislike her, but I don't want her to burn in hell. I want what I want for every character I see on a show: *clears throat* OWNING UP TO THEIR SHIT AND CHANGING FOR THE BETTER AND NOT BEING A MARY SUE AND MANY OTHER THINGS I DON'T FEEL LIKE GETTING INTO AT 11:30 PM. This goes for literally all the characters on the show. I wanna see Donnie and Casey apologize to April for being weird with her, AND I want April to apologize to them for being weird with them. THEY ALL DESERVED BETTER. They all could have developed amazingly if the writers didn't stick their heads up their asses and spew whatever shit they inhaled onto the script. I have so many other examples of this: I want Splinter to realize the generational trauma he's inflicting on his sons, Karai developing her relationships with all her brothers, Casey going into his backstory, insert other example.

No, I am not encouraging "nice guy" behavior by loving on Donnie. Oh wow, a kid with zero social interaction outside of his three brothers an strict dad gets weirdly obsessed with the first person he develops romantic feelings for? Who could've seen that coming? He should have left her alone when she wanted to be left alone and given her space, yes, but goddamn people, these characters are children. They're always making dumb choices. It's TEENAGE mutant ninja turtles. My boy never once tried to force himself on this girl. Never tried turning her no into a yes. Never wanted her to do anything she wasn't okay with. He's not a "nice guy" or an "incel" or a "stalker" he's a smart boy who made some very dumb choices. So did literally every other character in the goddamn show. You wanna talk creepy? Leo knowingly had the hots for his motherfudging sister but that's a whole 'nother can of worms I ain't touching tonight baby. I just personally think Donnie has so many more redeeming qualities to his character. Honestly, in my opinion, his apology to April was good enough for me. Not perfect by any means, but good enough. Donnie is literally one of the only characters who quickly owns up when he messes up, I think that' worth something considering the characters. Honestly, Donnie is a sweetheart, super smart, sassy, and fun to watch, and I think his qualities outweigh his flaws, unlike how I feel about April. (How I feel about her.)

My morality should not be called into question when I have an opinion on a fictional character for fuck's sake. This franchise is beloved, BELOVE IT. Have your opinions, love April, hate April, love Donnie, hate Donnie, just enjoy yourselves (except you, Tcesters, stay the fuck away from me and my son.) These characters aren't perfect, they're flawed, they're young, they're children. It's not their fault they were written like shit. They're ALL good people at the end of the day.

I hate 2012 April's guts and I love 2012 Donnie to death. But that doesn't mean you have to as well. LOVE YOUR CHARACTERS.

Once Maegor was dead, Rhaena married a younger man, a minor lord's second son, Androw Farman, but it was the WORST KEPT SECRET that she did it because she was in love with his sister Elissa. The three of them moved around Westeros as a unit, eventually finally settling on Dragonstone (where Androw murdered a ton of people, but still). Warrior Nun band AU. Is Lilith the drummer or nah?

OHOHHO love band aus. but it does depend on what instruments u think a band should have like. how many guitars, is there a piano/keys? drums, like u said. tbh, i dont see lilith as a drummer, but the vibes are there. the sound, the power of it, she likes drums but!!! what she LOVES is making some crazy eletric guitar riffs. now THATS what she likes. its intricate, but superrr intense. also, women + guitar = super hot.

might be an unpopular opinion but!!! camila as the drummer. i find the concept of such a tiny adorable sweet girl going absolutely HAM on a drum set. like. crazy levels ham. something possesses her when she plays, its an entirely different person. she, ofc, also does vocals, n in calmer songs where a drummer isnt necessary, camila takes the stage with her beautiful voice. she's very versatile in that way.

we could go the classic route n say "beatrice plays the keys/piano cuz its more refined n classic n calm etc." but i want her also on a guitar. i want beatrice n lilith guitar duo. they go crazy, they go ham, they work rly well together since they have such different vibes n different ways of playing the same instrument, it creates a great contrast on stage. but she also plays keys if its necessary. she did learn guitar after the piano as a rebellious act

mary is bass, ofc. its just so her. shes the backbone of the band, the bass is soooo important but often overlooked almost?? ppl focus more on the guitar or the vocalist, but the bass is what pulls it all together. also: woman + bass = hot as fuck. so. she also does vocals. her voice is deliciously raspy. definitely the sexual awakening of many girls, let's just say that

i feel like ava needs a weird instrument. she does vocals, sure, but she also plays that weird. keys thing. thats kinda like a guitar n a piano mixed. ava is the wildcard of the band cuz u know that girl has some crazy instrument with her. you that lil guy that does weird sounds? that has a lil face?? ava brings that to the stage.

Mostly, she was turned into The Most Important Character with no flaws, who's plans always succed(they never did before), very smart and thoughtful, who easily solved everyone's problem as if they were non-existent to begin with(we talk about serious alcoholism, complexes connected to self-worth, abusive relationships and many other serious psychological and not only problems). Not only that, but also got Rose's character rid of her purpose(Rose's character also suffered a lot of changes. She was basically flanderised into soft lesbian. While it WAS part of her, there was SO MUCH MORE to her before retcom) and nullified ANY threat from Gamzee(you couldn't even feel afraid of him anymore), the closest servent of Angel Of Double-death AND FOOLED OMNISCIENT BEING BY SIMPLY EXISTING. She lost her sharp edges, she gained abilities she didn't have, she lost all of her weaknesses, the whole plot began to revolve exactly as she wanted. HI MER!!!!!!!!! i haven't got many thoughts other than it is not headcanon it is simply fact mary winchester IS a lesbian. i think her story is ultimately a tragedy of epic proportions: the angels force her to love a man solely to create the vessels they want to wage their war through. and that's fucked up and that's never massively unpicked in the show!!!!!!!!!!! i know a lot of annamary looks at this in more depth which is think is so necessary because anna questions her faith because of mary and mary's love for her. they were the template for destiel. i also have so many ellenmary ideas that follow the same vein. like mary spends her whole life trying to unlearn comphet and accept that she truly loves another girl, and then. and then she does but the angels get her and one day she wakes up loving john and she doesn't know why and she's so confused. and it undermines everything she thought she understood about herself. and ellen, who was her girlfriend, now has to deal with the fallout of mary just falling out of love with her and marrying a guy. because in order to make mary marry john, the angels can't just give her love for john, they have to strip her of her love for ellen. this precious holy lesbian love which mary has finally come to treasure is RIPPED from her by literal religious beings and mary and ellen don't even know, mary just has to look ellen in the eyes and say she doesn't love her anymore. like what the fuck. and then this mary who now has all these radical ideas about comphet has to put herself through being a good wife and mother and it's not even in her control. i'm going to scream okay maybe i do have a lot of mary thoughts. and i think when she comes back the angels haven't got control of her anymore so she can once again fall in love with women and unpick the further years of comphet she went through with john. but she spends the entire time she's dating jody fearing that what if she just wakes up one day and doesn't, what if she has to tell jody what she told ellen. and i think that haunts her for a long time

Aoi- I don't think I need to elaborate much but this fucker is somehow the very definition of comfort character to me sibling of all time and god how did they fit so much survivor's guilt and gender swag on this one guy

Akane- She's honestly one of the fictional characters of all time for me not even just in the sense that I'm emotionally invested and like to project on what I relate to her in like just literally no one does it like her and it's so fucking awesome how much nuance she has

Mary- From Ib obviously. The concept of a painting come to life is one thing but also matching that with intense loneliness and abandonment issues because the artist was neglectful and the way she doesn't even know what life is like but wants it so bad and how the thing with existing even works in the gallery is just so interesting to me and I never saw the concept done like that again

Ships is interesting because I am not overwhelmed by choice and have few I ever liked lmao

Soriku- I don't wanna make statements on what they have going on exactly but it is some shade of true love and regardless their relationship is just so precious to me like the Disney vibes really make me feel things

Garnet- aka Ruby and Sapphire from Steven universe and that is simply because I remember crying when they came on screen for the first time kissing and being worried for each other and realizing at the tender age of thirteen on the spot that I did have romantic feelings afterall but I just never realized girls were an option

Junepei- These two are so messed up whatever they have going on isn't precious in the wholesome sense at all and I'm living for it they get to be awkward and cute and each other's first real crushes but also horny and terrible for what else they bring to each other's lives and still the only thing to keep each other from giving up on other people altogether and they're liars and manipulators and they never once harm the other out of spite and it's a runaway and a detective and just a caring brave boy who met a lonely smart girl when they were in elementary school and a control freak mastermind that's half dead and waiting for him to save her and a normal spontaneous person who's pulled into all this when she kidnaps him and GOD

Aoilight- They're also complicated but not as much as those other two I'm tired from typing that out and I did already make an essay on these two so I just think them together would be sweet and funny and they'd be more on the same page about healing than junepei if the circumstances were okay

Strelrena- Okay hear me out this rare pair has so much potential because I believe marluxia and larxene to be the gay lesbian solidarity duo and streli is canonically queer for her crush on player and Elrena was the only one she really talked to omg they were party mates and she was along for the ride to help her brother find her from day one and she only avoided the war because streli talked fondly about her enough for lauriam to remember and go to her and her chirity is so funny about teasing her about caring about anyone at all while looking for her and her doing a one eighthy and being bitter and awful at the very notion of having a heart makes sense with this whole thing and in her files she talks about something previous to her but that still gives her mixed feelings and some of those could still end up being about marluxia and I would not like that but for now I can only hope for kh to have a single wlw pairing that works for me

Shovel (a short story)

  He called his wife on the phone. There was nothing else to do.  He had masturbated two times already that day. Not a thing on the television and besides it was raining out. Nothing inside, nothing outside.   She picked up and said hello. The second he heard her voice he regretted calling. He could have gone out and stood naked in the freezing rain. He could have swallowed a fist full of sleeping pills and unplugged the phone. He could have tried to get it up one more time and go for three strikes on hid belly. But he didn't. He called his wife and now it was too late to turn back. "How are you doing Marie?" A loud and long sigh came from the other end. He heard her suck in her breath and he braced himself. "Well, you know the guy downstairs is supposed to shovel the walkway. The motherfucker pays less rent than I do because he's supposed to help around this shithole apartment. I got home from work to find that not only was the sidewalk not done but the son of a bitch never got around to the driveway. I had to park on the street with all the other assholes who live on this godforsaken road. So I went to his apartment to find out why nothing had been done. You know me, Vince, you don't want to piss me off! So I go and bang on his damn door. Blam blam blam blam! His wife answers stinking of booze. That lady is fucked up. Do you remember the time she came up to my place when you were over fixing the sink? She started screaming at me to keep the banging down and I was like "listen lady, my fucking husband is over here fixing my sink and if you don't like the fucking sounds you can kiss my big fat clogged up sink of an ass!" Holy shit that was a riot! Anyway, she opens the door and I ask her why her fucking husband has not shoveled the sidewalk and all. I mean he had 24 hours to get the damned job done. Of course, I didn't say that! I just said: "hey, is Frank around? He was supposed to shovel and all." And then, you know what she said to me? You are not going to believe this. She said that Frank cut his fingers while slicing a fucking ham and got 66 stitches on his left hand! I almost shit myself! So, of course, I asked her how he was doing. Just to be human, you know? She said he was in the tub relaxing with a drink. And you know what this means? Don't you? This means that no one is going to shovel the fucking snow! I'm going to be parking on that street for weeks! Jesus Christ. Why me? Of all the places I could be living, I live in this stink-hole place with a sloppy meat cutter as the handyman idiot." "Why don't you call the landlord and let him know the walkway is not being cleared. I'm sure he would want to know."

"What do you think I am? An idiot or something! I called him. Of course, I called him. Jesus! I called him the second I got my boots off. He said that as long as Frank is laid up...that's what he said! Laid up! What a moron! As long as Frank is laid up that maybe I could shovel for a while. He said he would knock off 30 bucks from the rent. The fucking gall of that fat bastard! Who the fuck does he think I am? Some lesbian butch? I told him to cram it. I said he could stick that rickety old shovel up his over used asshole. That's what I said Vince. So help me, that's what I said. He couldn't believe it! He went silent. Then I said, "No way, Jose" and slammed the phone down. I nearly busted the fucking thing! Haha! So, hell, I don't know what to do. Hey, hold on for a sec."

He heard her put the phone down on the table. He knew that table well. He bought it about 5 summers ago at the local Kmart. He carried the damned thing stuck in some cheap box up two flights of stairs in a horrible heat. Dragged it into the kitchen and put it together by himself. Alone. A very big accomplishment for a man who needs instructions for a hammer. This was supposed to be a surprise for Marie. She had been bitching about the old table ever since she had moved in. She came home that night. Put her keys on the table and without even looking at Vince who was sitting in one of the chairs said: "Jesus, Vincent, where the hell did you dig this nightmare up? Kmart?"

But still, to this day the table sat there. In his old apartment. A testament to his failures. He lit a cigarette and as he placed the match in the tray he heard her cough into his ear. Then curse and then, much to his dismay began to speak again.

"My God. I finally got out of my dress. I don't know why the hell I still, wear this ugly old thing you got me. I do know this though, I have to shave my legs. They are getting mighty hairy. Hey, you still like my legs, Vince? You used to go on and on about how much you adored my legs. Back in the early days. Before it all went to shit. Ain't that right Vince? So, you still like them? Do you think about them when you try to fall asleep on that bed of yours? Do you?" "Yeah, I guess I do. I don't know. Sometimes, I guess." "You guess? You guess? What kind of answer is that? Jesus, Vince. You are and always will be a real twit. You know that don't you?"

"Yeah, twit with a capital T."

  An hour later they hung up, or actually, she hung up on him. Pissed off about something or other. He stripped out of his sweat soaked shirt and decided to have a beer or two. Topless at the kitchen table, Vince sat with the bottle of Miller and stared out the window. The rain had turned to a very light snow. The street lights were just coming on and soon he would have to get ready for work.

  What the fuck happened to me Vince thought. How the hell did I become a third shift jackoff with an insane soon to be ex-wife and a car in danger of being taken away by the bank? It was too much for him apparently as he stood up and with the bottle in his hand, went to the bedroom where he fingered through a stack of books on the floor. In fact, the room was surrounded by books. Like ropes in a boxing ring. All four walls tattooed three feet high with books of every color and size. In no particular order, one could see. He grabbed Albert Camus's 'The Stranger' and flipped through the pages. He put it down and turned around. He put the bottle on the nightstand and walked over to the corner by the window. He kneeled down and searched. After a while, he picked the book he wanted. Terry Anderson's memoir 'Den Of Lions'. He opened the book and found the bent corner and read:

"Prayers in the night hurled fiercely at an absent God; plea's, promises, bargains offered, but no answers."

He picked up a shirt laying on the bed and put it on.

  Eating a bologna sandwich alone at work, Vince sat reading the paper. More bad news. Unemployment up. Riots in Germany. Bombs in the Mideast. The president is still a moron and worst of all the paper yanked Doonesbury from the funny pages after a controversial strip. Garfield is not funny, it's downright depressing he thought to himself. What is this world coming to? He gathered up his empty paper plate and coffee mug. Walked over to the garbage can and threw them in. Shit was rumbling. His stomach felt ill, so he headed off towards the men's room.

On his way, he ran into Marcella. She just lifted herself up from the water fountain and spotted him charging down the hall like a moose. "Vince! Hey hey, you, Moose? How are you?" He slowed down. Stopped actually and greeted her in return. "Marcella. Fine. I am fine. Did you hear about Doonesbury? The paper axed it, man." "I know. I read about it this afternoon when I woke up. It's an outrage! It was always the first thing I'd read when I got the dumb old paper. Hey, you in a hurry? Got time to grab a smoke outside? I'm dying for a cigarette."

His bowels churned. Bologna and depression do not mix. His belly was bursting, screaming for relief. And yet, he said: "For you, my friend, of course. I could use a dose of Turkish gold myself. I just ate."

Marcella smiled and pulled at his arm. "Ok then, Mr. Moose, let's go smoke."

 Outside they stood on the truck delivery station. Pallets laid around them in the snow among the discarded cigarette butts. Just a sliver of moon hiding behind the clouds made it a dark evening. Or morning.  It was around 3 AM and it had stopped snowing. They stood there silently smoking. Vince looked up at the sky. He wanted to see stars but it was impossible. It was too cloudy. "I wish we could see the stars but it's too cloudy." Marcella exhaled a puff of smoke and laughed "What is it with you and the stars? Every time we come out here you always talk about the stars. Just why is that Vinnie?"

Vince flicked his camel into the air. It landed with a suicide grace. He watched it as it slowly went out in the snow. "I don't know. I think I just like things that are far away."

"Interesting Mr. Mooseman. What about me? I'm right next to you. I bet you don't like me, eh?" She smiled and poked her elbow into his side. She laughed. "Well, out with the answer Moosey!"

He stood there silent. He reached into his pocket for another smoke. Lunch break was almost over but there was time for at least one more. He would have to wait two more hours before he could use the bathroom though.

"Marcella, may I ask you a question?" "Sure...why not! It's Friday and I'm in a good mood! But you're not ducking my question are you?" "I'm glad you're in a good mood, Marcella."

He lit the cigarette and put away his lighter. His fingers were getting cold and he wished he had brought his gloves from the car. His head tilted up as his lips opened. "Marcella, do you shovel your own driveway?" She laughed. "No, no. My son does. He's good at it too. Every time it snows, he's on the job! What a silly question, Mr. Moose. Why do you ask?"

He took a drag from his smoke and flicked the half done thing onto the ground. He turned away and began walking back to the building. No reason, he said. Just simply curious.

He opened the door and felt the heat hit him hard. He had a minute left to punch back in. He walked quickly to the time clock. There really was no time to do anything else. --------------------------------

GUMIIIII GOOD LIRD giga & kira especially tune her so fucking well it helps that she has an insane amount of voice banks and appends but genuinely her voice has so much weight to it and it can literally be used for ANYTHING without drawbacks it's incredible. I haven't used her myself but I've heard she's easy to tune so that's a bonus

I only just watched Ordeal by Innocence because I, like many other lesbians, are really compelled by Ella in Yellowjackets and I was trying to spread out the filmography so I’d still have things that’s she’s in to watch, and I was not expecting much, but holy shit that show caught me off guard. Just fuck, and I know I’m there for Ella, but Hester!! Hester, who suffers so much in that her mother bribes her husband, Drugs her!, and then has the doctors perform an abortion! Like that whole last episode I was like give me Hester what the fuck is this girl thinking and feeling and obviously Kirsten too, but fuck all of these kids are so fucked up, man rich people are crazy

Finally got my real lesbian pin and trying to get out of unstable life episodes.

To be honest with all of you, the reason I created this blog was to remind myself and my best friend Mari who also reads this blog that it’s fine to feel left out due to comphet since it has started to affect us more severely last months mostly due our “friends’s” TERF opinions and her view on lesbians and m-spec people as a whole. It’s not like I’m questioning at all (I don’t because I at least see how is attraction and emotional bond is for me). I think time has come to share what this “friend” tells me:

1. She believes that all men, regardless of their deeds, thoughts and life situation should be dead. And if I think otherwise it makes me less lesbian somehow? I just don’t like men in sexual and romantic way but in platonic I can be good and even close friends with them.

2. All trans women are predatory men who just want to invade lesbian spaces and do horrific things to them.

3. That if I like trans women = I’m bisexual only since all lesbians “must” like only AFAB people.

4. Only radical feminists are normal people and if I want to meet a girl she “must” be only of these views because others, according to her, are bad people.

5. She believes that I also share these views while I just say that I don’t find men attractive at ALL due to simply being lesbian and having HUGE standards when it even comes to aesthetic attraction to them.

6. All women are holy, great and just beautiful people even if they fuck up in life, it’s all society’s fault since it affects them and it only makes them do what they do. Listen, many people can be bad people as any person of any gender. Double fucking standards.

Do you see how many “all” are in her thoughts - I get that she is radical but radical feminism shouldn’t be upfront hating all men just because of their gender. I’m a feminist myself and I despise people who do bad things, who make women seem unworthy and just overall not like people at all. She, in fact, isn’t a radfem to me, she is just a men hater who hides behind feminism. She just sees a person she doesn’t know and automatically assumes stuff like that of them.

i like it (high tier) 9.5/10

too many small things (early on especially) held it back for me, but it did pick up down the line and stayed mostly solid bro moment, girl moment, lesbian moment, bi moment, feminist moment, gay moment, dad moment pretty good in those regards

was really confused to see Eternity with hair and then her in its place, but the end makes sense of it; but wtf, though? was that a condition of the rebirth/resurrection? the ending also makes sense of the dialogue exchange between Mighty Thor and o'dude (Gorr), 'cause~ dat was confusing af for me but not at all in hindsight 🤷🏿‍♂️ faked us out with rock-dude (Korg)'s death, but it did feel a bit cheap before that Thor's revenge felt like a reminder of his anger early on in Ragnorak (and his comment about meditation making him angry aswell 🤔)

Just realized the movie's too short for Mighty Thor's story and arc, let alone her relationship with Thor. We should've gotten to see her grow into the position more and then love eachother for longer. Like, dafuq; this dat shit a YouTuber talked about with Spiderman No Way Home's Mary Jane problem. 🙄 [Saving MJ: The Feminism of the Spider-Man Films by verilybitchie] Could've been so much more, especially considering the subtitle. My 2020 top 20 movie list

(Disclaimer that most of these weren't made in 2020 but I just watched them this year. These aren't also really in a very particular order but they are lowkey ranked) (i also had to be choosey with the images i out cause of the limit, but yeah dont mind that)

20. The perfection

The plot twist in this movie is *chefs kiss* there was no way for me to predict the ending, bug as far as thrillers goes, it is brilliant. And also, lesbians. It can be a pretty triggering movie for ab*se and general gore, but really I love the pacing and the thrill of it.

19. The shining

Ah yes, a classic horror, and though I may feel iffy about Stanley Kubrick, this movie was pretty good. But I am saying this as a person that didn't read the book. The blood rushing down the hallway was really my favourite visual on the movie. It was a movie that made me felt genuinely scared while watching it, like hiding behind my blanket but also sweating scared, the suspense was pretty thrilling though

18. Doctor Sleep

Man do I love Danny Torrance, and Abra, fuck I love them both. Again, I never read the book, but my ignorance keeps me in bliss. The visuals of this movie are also great, and the emotions this movie puts through? I'm just glad headcanons exist, but really I did enjoy this movie even if it wasn't what I was expecting.

17. Birds of prey

Harley deserved a movie, and the fact that it was directed by a woman makes me love it so much more because we just got to see harley doing the things that she fucking wanted. This movie is wlw solidarity, from Margot robbie to Mary Elizabeth Winstead, women with crossbows? Sign me the fuck up. And from all the DC films I've seen, it's so much brighter, in the visual sense, there's colour! There's character! And not everyone is just brooding in darkness, its the type of movie that would make me actually watch and enjoy DC films.

16. Charlie's angels

Firstly, lesbians. Thank you. But really, its a good action comedy and really I'll jump at the chance to see women kick ass.

15. My octopus teacher

I've never cried over an octopus before, so that was an experience. And even though this is technically not a movie, I still wanted to put it on here cause it was really just a great documentary, especially since it happened in my home country and im very oddly proud of that fact.

14. Knives out

Murder mystery and chris evans go so well together. I have made a longer post, but to sum it up, like most of the movies on this list. The colours and the pacing and just the atmosphere of the movie was spectacular, and even though I couldve guessed the ending, I was still on the edge of my seat for most of it

13. Ready or not

I love this new wave of eat the rich media. Samara weaving is a great actor and I am in love with her and this whole movie. It really was something that I hadn't actually seen before and the fact that the whole curse thing at the end was true was really just wow. Along with eat the rich, I love the feral female energy lately, and the whole white clothing slowly but surely being covered in blood.

12. Geralds game

The line "youre only made of moonlight" lives in my head rent free. This movie, was really an experience and for a movie with only two people in it for the majority, it is really well done. I'll always feel iffy about a man writing a woman's experience (specifically) but I do love the way this movie went, yeah I hated the "Hand" scene, but I still enjoyed the after math of it.

11. The old gaurd

Again, more lesbians, what more could I ask for? The concept for this movie is brilliant, immortal mercenaries is the only trope I want from now on, and found family.

10. Parasite

Again with the eat the rich. This movie was mindblowing, and just, the imagery!! And im glad they didn't dub it in English cause fuck that, I enjoyed it perfectly with subtitles.

9. song of the sea

This movie, this movie! Is so precious and I had that song stuck in my head for days.the name Saoirse is also so oddly pleasing to hear. This story is so beautiful, the music is amazing and it makes me want to be a fae.

8. Scott pilgrim vs the world

This movie really did pass what my expectations for what I thought it was gonna be, the music was amazing, the transitions and editing style was *chefs kiss* and even though I felt like I was in a fever dream the whole time, it'd be a fever dream I'd gladly rewatch.

7. The imitation game

Thank you Alan Turing. This movie recked me, like emotionally, I was a mess when I was done with it, but damn was it good, like I really just felt something while watching it, I mean most.of the movies on this list did, but this one just really hit me in some way.

6. Klaus

At least there are still good Christmas movies being made. Actually, I was a mess for this one too, the second that child got that sleigh thing it was over for my emotions. The whole sirge of turning Santa into this big macho dude really is working out and that's how Santa should always be depicted. I could gush about the animation style of this movie all fucking day, I love it so much (and the shadows!!! Ahh the shadows!) It really is just incredible.

5. I'm thinking of ending things

Hey man, I knew this was gonna fuck me up just by looking at the trailer, but there was absolitley no way to prepare for whatever was about to happen. Even after watching it, I have no idea what happened. But I still found it great, I love movies that give me an existential crisis.

4. Spirited away

All I wanted to do, was eat everything in that movie, even if it would turn me into a pig, holy hells this movie is good. There was just this satisfying appeal to it that I can't quite put into words. Its beautiful like everything studio ghibli movie ever.

3. The Willoughbys

I never knew I needed a found family movie with a bunch of kids that were already family. I've made a longer post about this movie, and I dont think I could really say more, this movie is so fucking touching and I love the direction it went in plot wise.

2. Howl's moving castle

Again, I may not have understood wtf was going on, but I'll be damned if I didn't love every second of it. There is no doubt that this movie is stunning, and I really am a suckered for early 2000's 2d animation, because!!! Look at it!!! Studio Ghibli films always just floor me with how good they look. I really wanna read the book, because I would absolutley love to see a feral Sophie giving howl shit for crying over hair.

1. Us

This movie will always be my no. 1 it is amazing and I love everything jordan peele has done with his movies. Especially for it to have a full black cast, and those black people have darker skin than what is normally shown in media. The feral but also calculated nature of each character is beautiful and nothing can ever make me hate this movie

I hope you enjoyed this incoherent "review" of my favourite movies I watched in 2020, its been a shit show and movies really have been a place of comfort for me. But stay safe and happy new year!
