Hi, you said in your bio that you're chronically ill. I was wondering if you had any tips for knitting with chronic pain (assuming that's your flavour of chronic illness)? Or do you know anyone who could give me advice?knitting/sewing is my sanity-saver.
I use compression gloves, only knit with specific weights of yarn (the ones that are the least painful for me), and try to take frequent breaks, which for me looks like switching hobbies every 30 minutes or so (knitting to spinning to knitting, etc). I also do my best to be very gentle on my joints when i can, altho i honestly rarely have the choice at work.
Personally i have joint problems and migraines, so thats what im correcting for/trying not to make worse. Helpful advice probably varies depending on what youre trying to correct for. Really my only general advice is "when it starts to hurt, try to stop" and "if possible, save the painfully difficult stuff for when youre doing well, and make the easier stuff your usual work"
If anyone who sees this has got other tips please feel free to comment them

Hello all. If we want tumblr to listen to us then we need to express it in a way that tumblrs 'potential' users (that they care so much about) will see, and will likely prevent from using tumblr until staff fuckin listens.
How?
Tumblr posts are limited to tumblr, any new users won't see as they'll mainly follow themed blogs, so staff doesn't care because it won't affect their goals in any meaningful way. Investors also aren't looking at tumblr posts to decide if they'll invest so tumblr isnt negatively monetarily affected by complaint posts.
Talking about tumblrs downfalls on other sites may help, but unless its a large movement at one time, staff and the general public wont see/care about any complaints.
One thing that new users will definitely see if theyre on mobile however, and investors can check easily, is the rating and review of tumblr on the App Store. This means that the rating/reviews is something that can directly impact whether new users decide to use tumblr or investors decide to invest. So is something that staff should directly care about.
So what do we do?
We rate the app badly.
But not just rating it badly, give a review and explain what problems you find with tumblr.
Some examples:
-bad moderation (incorrect flagging of posts, inappropriate posts not being flagged hategroups not being banned etc.)
-inaccessible (seizure inducing ads and posts, video player etc.)
-bad search function
-tumblr live and all the issues that have been brought up with it
-transphobia (queerest place on the internet my ass)
-anything thats a problem but i haven't mentioned
Why though?
Tumblr staff have recently started trying to monetize the site mote effectively while ignoring the requests/queries from current users in an effort to attract new users.
Since tumblr has many issues that negatively effect any users for the site but ignore any posts about them while encouraging posts celebrating them (think crab day), the only way to really get through to them is by means that will actually affect them.

follow me like the moon (chapter 2)
When Bodhi turns it over to her with a thoughtful, “And how’s everything with you?”—well, Jyn rightfully panics.
“Uh…there was a really hot guy at the diner the other day…well, night. The other morning. Whatever,” she offers, pathetically. After a year of working overnights, you’d think she'd know what to call it.
“Really?” Bodhi asks, obviously intrigued. Because he’s the best, and even if her life is objectively less interesting than his, he still cares about how she’s doing.
“Yep.”
“And?” he presses. “What happened?”
“Nothing happened,” Jyn says, trying not to scoff. “He was a customer. He came in, he ate, he left.”
“Like the proverbial panda.”
“What?”
“The panda. From that joke? ‘Eats, shoots, and leaves?’” Bodhi explains. “Never mind. It’s just a dumb joke.”

anyway: last thing about the fox.
I think the order in which the team reacts to frank fielding* hurting himself is pretty interesting.
Gideon and Morgan are first, simply because they're the ones closest.
Hotch and Elle are next, with Elle a little behind...
But when it comes to actually restraining Frank, Elle, who is still new and less experienced, lingers behind. If you watch the scene carefully, she actually backs away, too.
And finally, Reid stands at the very back. He enters the room but doesn't go any further, and the camera pans down to show him rocking back and forth on his feet, like he can't decide if he wants to run into or out of the room. I think it's possible that Diana self-harmed at some point in the past (although granted, the self-harm in this scene is a different "type") and he may have been having some unpleasant memories.
*the brother of one of the victims, who goes to her house despite her husband not wanting him there, is seen by her through the window, and thinks she mouths "go away" at him when she actually mouths "help me"

wait, why was jeremy at the hospital? i don’t have instagram, and i don’t want to make an account to see the threads thing lol
he was running a bad fever on stream last night, when I popped in it was at 101.8F and then jumped to 102.2. apparently he was on antibiotics for another infection (I think a UTI?) and he had an allergic reaction to them, so he had to take an ambulance to the hospital :(
he's at home now though and doing alright, just not streaming for a few days!!
