swati nakshatra 。༶🌬.ع˖⁺
Tumblr media Tumblr media
羊を数えるように like counting sheep by yuka sakuma
disclaimer .. the following is of my own work, observations & research, so please don't plagiarise. if something does not seem to resonate, simple let it go x
swati nakshatra .. 'the self-going star'
vedic degrees (06.40° - 20.00° libra) .. western degrees (00.31° - 13.51° scorpio)
ruling deity: vayu (god of air & wind) .. ruling planet: rahu & venus .. symbol: a flower or blade of grass bending in the wind .. quality: moveable
mythological significance
swati is known as 'the self-going star' or 'the star of independence'. it resembles individuality & ego, vayu (god of air) governing swati nakshatra is quite relevant to this idea. as without breath no life is able to vessel our bodies, our 'individuated consciousness'. the word swati literally means sword, it's ability to cut & create division captures this essence of independence. being positioned within the sign of libra (union & relationships) may seem contradictory to this idea of self, however, human connection cannot exist without individuation. swati is a like a double edged sword. the other side to that being, alienation & isolation, due to cutting themselves off from others. it is key for these individuals to understand that every person is part of the whole, not apart from from the whole
swati people are inherently unique, different & stand out. well supported by rahu (eccentric & unusual) governing this nakshatra. they move against the grain, much like the symbol of a bending flower being blown in the wind. it is a nakshatra of non-conformity & standing out from the crowd. for this reason swati is often related to popularity, especially via social media .. rahu & venus (new aged technology, public acclaim & socialisation).
swati nakshatra has qualities of wandering & moving far places, as wind travels far & can drift spores of flowers to far away places. this can simply mean someone who enjoys adventure & travel or it can create distance within certain relationships in the person's life
the nakshatra symbols are not coincidental at all as they encompass many traits of these individuals. as exemplified by the flower being bent in the wind, swati relates to strength & resilience. they have the ability to 'bounce back' & grow in the presence of adversity
swati karakas .. the word karaka means significator of events or factors in astrology. however, not all swati people share the same interests or karma in life, the following are just some notable karakas of swati
plants, gardening & knowledge of such things
natural liking & appreciation of sharp weapons & swords
popularity & social media
travelling, wandering & walking. especially in nature or foreign countries
textiles, fashion & knowledge of such things
independent or partnered business endeavours
planets in swati nakshatra .. i would also like to note that even if you don't have planets in swati, house cusps are also relevant in their own regard
ascendant or ascendant lord in swati .. these people come across as unique & unusual, but in an endearing way. they are highly individualistic & original in their expression of self. they venture through life independently & has a great deal of self reliance. these people have a sharp intelligence & are progressive with their ideas. they are quite beautiful, sweet & friendly, but will never fail to establish their own sense of identity & stand out for this reason
moon in swati .. from a mental & emotional stand point these people are highly self-reliant & independent. they are taught from a young age that they must 'sow their own seeds' in life, due to a premature individuation or emotional disconnection from dependency. for this reason, they are emotionally resilient & strong. these people may be prone to feelings of alienation & isolation, due to deep inner lack of relatability with others. they may have a distant relationship with their family, particularly the mother, whether emotional or literal. this placement can indicate someone who has fluctuating & wavering mental or emotional state. these people are sweet, delightful & youthful. the person's ideas & mental impression is naturally quite non-conforming, unique, progressive & intelligently sharp, they most likely innately express themselves in this way too
sun in swati .. these people are highly-self reliant, in my observations they are better at 'adulting' than others their age. they never lose sight of their individual identity, tending to express themselves creatively in a way that makes them really shine & stand out from the crowd. they naturally tend to be quite popular or well-liked for this reason, especially via social media. however, this placement specifically must be careful of egotistical tendencies & feelings of superiority. otherwise, they have a very intelligent, delightful & sweet nature about them. something important to note is that sun becomes debilitated in swati, as the planet of structure & stability is not comfortable in such a non-conforming & dispersing nakshatra. for starters, these people may have a distant relationship with their father. they may also struggle against attaining their ambitions & goals in life, whether due to ever-changing desires in life or wishing to pursue a path that is not 'tried & true'
mercury in swati .. this placement indicates a high level of intelligence that can best described as sharp, inventive, original & progressive. mercury in rahu nakshatras will always indicate abnormal & eccentric ways of learning & communication. however, in swati these people are most original. they may literally speak in an unusual manner & become short of breath when speaking. their ideas move against the grain of common thought, so it can indicate a sense of division within their friendships & social connections. positively, this ultimately drifts them closer toward friendships that are not so trivial, rather based on the higher yearning of venus. they are good at keeping it light & peaceful with their friendships. their way of learning is highly modulable & resilient, they tend to never stop learning more in life
venus in swati .. as venus is in it's moolatrikona sign, these people have a great sense of balance, resilience in love. they tend to be very beautiful, possessing a sweet & charming nature. these people can be very popular & sought after in love for their beauty! although, they are not the kinds of lovers to be overly dependant, they prefer freedom, given the free-flowing & wandering nature of swati. they like to keep their independence alive, being able to balance love & friendships well in life. although, they may easily become bored when it comes to love & pleasure or even material satiation. they can fall in love with someone who lives at a far distance from them & motivates them to become an independent in life. lastly, these people have amazing artistic & creative potential that can be best described as original & well-received
mars in swati .. people with this placement act on their own accord, given the high synergy of independence. they have a great capacity to pursue their ambitions & set action into motion. one of their biggest struggles may be where these aspirations & their energy should be directed. however, when these people resiliently choose a path of non-conformity or independence they are able to reap their success. is an amazing placement for independent business endeavours. as both swati & mars indicate strength & resilience, i noticed that these people can amass muscle on their body easier than most & exceptional at competitive sports or games. they are usually open-hearted, active & are very good at motivating others
jupiter in swati .. this placement indicates someone who has very open-minded & balanced outlooks or philosophies in life. they tend to be seen as unique & original when they express these more spiritual or religious topics. they may be particularly interested in foreign cultures & beliefs. however, jupiter is not just an esoteric planet, it also resembles politics & education. so their political ideologies are also formed independently. their perspectives are refreshing, balanced & unique. they may also struggle a lot with deciding what to study or whether to in the first place, given the non-conforming & dispersing nature of swati. lastly, as jupiter resembles husband in a woman's chart, these people may end up marrying someone who lives far away from them or of a different culture
saturn in swati .. these people have amazing work ethic, they have the ability to remain resilient & strong in face of struggle, determination & ambition. this is due to saturn being exalted in swati, so it is a great placement for saturn. as saturn becomes fruitful for most later in life, they may find their unrealised potential of becoming independent & free when it comes to work life. they work better than most in independent & partnership endeavours, given they are not self-serving & are concerned for other's welfare. they suffer for reasonable & good cause in life. it is best for these individuals to align their efforts with what serves their personal duties & concerns. working under others may not be so fruitful, it's important that they realise they do posses the potential to be free!

Random Astrology Observations:
I've noticed that Moon-dominant people tend to be extremely attached to their families even when their families are kind of toxic, holding them back or messy, they overlook all flaws to project this image of coming from/belonging to a very happy well adjusted home.
Moon dominant people are often born to mothers who did not want them or felt trapped into having a baby/were forced to stay in partnerships/marriages because of the baby (obviously not every Moon dominant person will relate to this but yeah)
I've always thought that Zendaya and Jennifer Lopez sounded alike and turns out Zendaya is Purvaphalguni Sun and JLo has Venus atmakaraka
The people whose art/work really resonate with yours either have your Venus or Ketu placement in their big 3 or Mercury/Venus (since both these planets affect creativity and communication)
Rat yoni people are the most sexually perverse. I said what I said.
Dog yoni people tend to be very androgynous
I feel like Ketuvians struggle with their gender identity more than any other planetary dominance
Ashlesha placement works better for men than women because women really internalise that poisonous nature and it corrodes them from within (if imbalanced)
Here are some memes for diff placements just because:

Astro Observations 2
- cancers and people with moon in the 1st house/conjunct ascendant often have very soft, plump physical features and their weight fluctuates a lot.
- 5th house moons are obsessed with youth and sometimes even afraid to grow up. the 5th house represents children, fun, and play, so these people always feel like kids at heart and don’t want to get older and deal with serious adult life.
- virgo moons love to read and write. i notice that these people are often very passionate about literature and language.
- taurus moons are often passionate about fashion and beauty. they have great style in my opinion and a taste for luxury and the finer things in life. however, sometimes these people have a problem with spending too much money. the same can be said about 2nd house moons as well. examples of famous people with taurus or 2nd house moons are emma chamberlain, elvis presley, and trixie mattel.
- people with sun in the 4th house are often shy. however, if they have placements that make them more outgoing, like moon or venus in the fifth or ninth house for example, this may not be true for them.
- sagittarius suns and risings tend to have very long features. they are often tall or, if they are short or average height, they have long limbs that make them look tall on camera. they also often have large/long feet, hands, and fingers. they can also have long faces and facial features.
- women with rahu ruled (0°31 - 13°51 of tropical cancer, scorpio, and pisces) placements, especially rahu ruled suns, are often funny.
- cancer women (sun, moon, and/or rising) often have bags under their eyes. ardra (early tropical cancer) women in particular tend to have them, often along with large eyes. ardra is ruled by rahu and rahu women are known to have large, sort of bug eyes. i always recognize ardra women by their eyes. examples of this are aubrey plaza, phoebe waller-bridge, selma blair, and nicole richie
- scorpio moons are often very self-assured. they know themselves and are not that bothered by external opinions. they are also often very intuitive/psychic.
- scorpio moons also tend to really enjoy life and have fun? strange because this is a sign that i don’t really think of as the most fun loving, i would expect fire moons to be more that way, but i’ve noticed that scorpio moons in particular really enjoy living. i guess since they’re not bothered by much externally that makes it easier for them to enjoy life?

𝐌𝐨𝐨𝐧-𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐮-𝐊𝐞𝐭𝐮: 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦
the prominent themes of vampirism such as desire, hunger, mystery and illusions tie so perfectly with the moon and its nodes. it wasn't surprising to find the nodes dominating this genre the most, along with the luminaries (moon & sun nakshatras, but more fittingly the moon). i will not be touching on the few sun nakshatras playing vampires, as the moon makes far more sense symbolizing true vampiric nature.
Tumblr media
So many vampire movie posters have this luminous glow to them, likely done consciously because of these creatures' affinity for nighttime, and generally being nocturnal as they're extremely sensitive to any type of sunlight.
Tumblr media
I've once briefly mentioned, in my "Moon Dominant Themes" post, that lunar natives can operate very secretly, such as 'working in the shadows'. And the whole lore of vampires always emphasizes their ability to hide themselves while still living among humans.
Tumblr media
Vampires undergoing periods of dormancy and resurgence is interesting as that can also be linked back to the moon's cycles of waxing & maning. The influence that the moon has on vampires, in some legends, is during certain lunar phases in which they become more active. A full moon could literally mean that their strength has enhanced, whilst a moonless night could mean their desire for blood is heightened.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rohini Sun Colin Farrell
Tumblr media
Claire Nakti explored, in her "TOP 3 Most Magical & Mystical Astrology Signs | Cults, Divination, & Occultism | Part 2 (Nakshatras)" documentary, on the ability of Moon nakshatra natives to brainwash/mind control/hypnotize.
daniel kaluuya is a hasta moon, not rohini.
As these natives are often cult leaders, their ability to influence the mind goes back to their lunar-rulership. The Moon rules over the mind, emotions and subconscious. A vampire's ability to hypnotize humans and other lesser beings is in parallel to the Moon's influence over the psyche and subconscious.
Tumblr media
This illusory nature found in vampires can be connected to the shadow planet, Rahu. As Rahu is illusions, desire, hunger. Rahu is very seductive and tempting; this could tie back to some legends in which vampires lure their prey giving them promises of pleasure.
Ardra Sun Tom Cruise.
Tumblr media
In "Interview with the Vampire", Tom Cruise plays Lestat who is an overindulgent, greedy vampire. Rahu governs desires and the pursuit of worldly pleasures. It's related to insatiable cravings that lead to greed. The lustful nature of Rahu is seen in Lestat's intense bloodlust and the chaos it brings.
Tumblr media
Rahu's associations with eclipses relates to their ability of being hidden in the shadows. Another hint is in Rahu being a Shadow planet itself, just like Ketu is which is also related to vampires.
Tumblr media
The story about Rahu's head getting decapitated by Vishnu for trying to get a drink out of the nectar of immortality can be brilliantly paralleled with vampirism. Due to Rahu's consumption of the drop of the nectar, he became the infamous dismembered immortal. His dismemberment a symbol of the detachment from humanity to vampirism.
Tumblr media
Rahu is considered an entity of darkness and malevolence, preying upon cosmic forces and defying the natural order of things (such as vampirism which does defy nature itself, ie. the dead becoming undead) in pursuit for immortality. Vampires are literal parasites, and Rahu is also parasitical. Vampires feed on humans without providing any benefit in the ecosystem in return, a one-sided relationship which resembles one between a parasite and its host. Rahu is depicted as insatiable and consuming, feeding and draining one's energy. It creates a cycle of thirsting for more without any fulfillment, a predicament vampires find themselves in.
Ashwini Sun Luke Evans
Tumblr media
Rahu and Ketu represent the lunar nodes, respectively depicted as the head and tail of the celestial serpent. Their energetic interaction can be likened to the endless chase between a vampire and a vampire hunter, villain and hero, the friction between unlikely lovers. It's obvious in how Rahu embodies the insatiable hunger for experiences and the craving for fulfillment that it can be the vampiric force in such a dynamic. Like a vampire, Rahu relentlessly pursues its desires, often leading to greed and excess. And then you have Ketu, on the other hand, which embodies detachment, spirituality, and liberation from worldly attachments. It quite literally symbolizes the renunciation of desires and the quest for enlightenment, opposing Rahu's restlessness for more. Ketu is a cutting force, and like a determined vampire hunter, is skilled in tracking down illusions and breaking free from temptations.
Tumblr media
Although it sounds like a more fitting interplay between Rahu as the evil force and Ketu as the hunter, it's actually more seen in the other way around.
Tumblr media
It is more so that Rahuvians are the vampire hunters, which I found so intriguing; showcasing how Rahu is both the parasitical (illusory), and also the one to be rid of parasites (disillusionment). And I have explored this particular theme in my Rahu post -- how Rahu natives experience a lot of disillusionment from their reality, wanting to cast away the illusions that drain the life force.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The reversal of roles showcases the fluidity of the nodes; their roles almost always expected to reverse, illustrating just how Rahu and Ketu are deeply intertwined with the concept of karma, representing the push-&-pull between cosmic forces of destiny.
Tumblr media
More nodal-vampire movies, and other examples in which Rahu & Ketu find themselves on opposite sides of the same spectrum in which they are both vampires, similar to the friction seen between Louis (Ketu) and Lestat (Rahu) in "Interview with the Vampire".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the film "Fright Night", the one who has to kill the villainous vampire is an Ashwini native. It is also interesting how in "Queen of the Damned" (above, right), the villain is a Magha native who must be stopped by her Mula lover -- both being vampires.
Tumblr media
As mentioned in the figure image about the film "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter", where a nodal-ruled native is paired up with someone who is lunar-ruled, this is a type of pairing seen a lot in these supernatural stories.
Tumblr media
Similarly to "Twilight", as Edward was the one to turn Bella into a vampire, we see the planetary reversal of this in which the lunar-native is the one who turns the nodal-native.
Tumblr media
Or the film "Vamps" in which Hasta Sun, Shatabhisha Moon native Alicia Silverstone turns Mula Sun, Magha Moon native Krysten Ritter into a vampire.
Tumblr media
It isn't a surprise that the moon and its nodes are related to the extremities of the mind. These energies can cause isolation due to how polarizing they come off in regular society (furthermore validating its relation to vampirism), so they become attracted to one another -- especially the nodal natives to the moon natives, because of how much they feel magnetized by them, and vice versa.
Tumblr media
The presence of some Sun nakshatras in vampire stories is present and that could tie to the Sun's influence over the Moon despite the fact that solar symbolisms regarding vampirism don't exist, and vampires are far too sensitive to the Sun so much so that they get sunburn during the full moon where the sun's light reflects (interesting to think about). The whole point of a vampire is to lurk in the shadows or during nighttime, so the strict avoidance of the Sun could make sense in there being solar-natives in vampiric roles. It makes for an interesting contradiction, certainly.
Tumblr media
Ketu is the body of the severed demon Rahu following the consumption of the elixir. Much like Rahu, Ketu is also associated to darkness and illusions. But it symbolizes the darker, unseen aspects of reality -- all the hidden forces and energies as I've touched on in my Ketu exploration. Ketu and Rahu are two sides of the same coin, it isn't surprising to see them share many vampiric roles/stories.
Tumblr media
Ketu is about spiritual liberation, detachment (in this context, becoming a vampire means a harsh detachment from normality/the old life), transcendence; these existential themes are found in vampirism.
The character Louis in "Interview with the Vampire" played by Mula Sun Brad Pitt describes his existential crisis as a vampire to a Magha Sun human who interviews him.
Tumblr media
The enhanced strength, agility, speed, hearing and all these abilities are gained after the painful transformation process, going from human to vampire. This process is seen in the film "Interview with the Vampire", Mula Sun Brad Pitt's character going through excruciating pain when turning. My mind immediately takes me to Claire Nakti's first Mula nakshatra exploration, in which she touched on the interconnection of pain and evolution for access to more powers.
Tumblr media
robert pattinson is an ardra moon, not sun. and i accidentally used jk rowling's face as l.j smith, ugh! 💔
Vampires are caught between worlds, trapped in a liminal space between life & death. Ketu can cause feelings of entrapment. The yearning for release from their eternal existence is a common theme, as Ketu wants to escape its body. Louis de Pointe du Lac is the best character as example of rejecting one's own nature and wanting to cease to exist.
Mula Sun Brad Pitt
Tumblr media
nodals being so emo jfc
notes: colin farrell's birthtime accuracy is botched, he's definitely a mula ascendant. tom hiddleston stays a possible ashwini moon until he's not (until his birthtime is available and accurate).

An example of how Moon in the Venus-ruled sign Libra / Taurus or Venus-ruled nakshatra Bharani / Purva Phalguni / Purva Ashadha and/or conjunct a benefic like Jupiter, Venus, or the materialistic planet Rahu can show growing up with luxury wealth as a child
Moon is your immediate environment / emotional experience, child/teen development while Libra is a sign of luxury. Jupiter, Venus, and Rahu represent wealth.
Unclear what Moon nakshatra Isabella Barrett is, but she does seem to possess Vishaka-like eyes, and Vishaka is an ambitious and entrepreneurial nakshatra especially in the sign of Libra. Jupiter is in the Rahu-ruled nakshatra Swati of Libra which gives one mass / luxurious wealth.

Jihyo Chart Reading
Jihyo vedic birth chart is so easy to read because everything Onces know about her translates so obviously in her chart.
Libra Ascendant; lord in 4th house
Indicates Jihyo life focus is on her deepest inspired self or her private life. The 4th house represents emotions, privacy, lowest point, imagination and inspiration, and lineage or other aspects of us we were "born into" (nationality, culture, etc)
1st house is our energy and physical body. The "front gate" of our birth chart. Having it focus in the deepness of the 4th house can indicate a weak ability to preserve self against people, life dilemas or just any obstacles that prevents a person for living life (stress, closed-mindedness, skills, wealth, etc) but because the 4th house is good for grounding it's something that can get better with age
Capricorn Sun in 4th
Sun is weak in the 4th and Capricorn is one of the signs Sun feels weak in (because Sun and Saturn are natural enemies) so this means there is issues with confidence, happiness, and insight
Capricorn in 4th can indicate feeling restricted or overpowered in private life. On the reverse having Sun her can indicate an ability to gain power from restricting self or hard-work
Capricorn Sun is typically a placement that gets better with age because Jihyo's conscious may be very focused on restrictions and limits put on her by society or people with authority over her but may have learned to use restrictions as starting blocks or guidelines for greatness and power
Sun rules 11th house
Jihyo soul in this lifetime is focused on worldly success and fame. Sun is how we intrinsically desire to be (its our soul) and how we aim for honor in our lives by living up to our own standards and heart's desire. So Sun here can indicate a person getting honor and confidence from connecting with or seving society in a big way. Humanitarian vibes or society's muse
Sun being in the 4th and ruling the 11th creates a natural relationship that acts like a conjunction between Jihyo's private life, family or mother to her . Usually indicates gaining wealth or favors from family, lineage, or imagination. Can also indicate private life being very restricted or structured by society or fame
Libra Moon in 1st house
A lot of artists have Libra Moon (or sun) because there is comfort in creating beauty having Libra Moon in 1st house means jihyo focuses a lot on what she finds pleasing and giving art to share with others. Libra is also about justice and balance so Libra Moon. Which for a lot of celebrities shows up as being activists or another senario is always striving for greatness to balance out recieving great success
Moon rules 10th house
Moon ruling the 10th house means there is an emotional need to project life in the highest way to make a impact on the world. Or could mean there is a natural skill in expressing self in the public.
Moon being in the 1st and ruling the 10th creates a natural relationship between the two houses that acts as a conjunction between Jihyo's life direction, physical body, and persona and her career, public image & honor, services and contributions to society.
Usually indicates a natural inclination to "making it big"
Tumblr media
Chitra Ascendant (Star of Oppurtunity)
Ruled by Mars (aggression, courage, and energy)
Jihyo directs her life towards being creative in a very meticulous way. Feels inspiration (because Chitra is "demonic/body/desires" focused) but wants to master a physical manifestation of beauty (because chitra is guided by Tvasthar: architect of the universe). On top of that Chitra symbol is a beautiful painting or pearl (two beautiful things that takes time to create)
Chitra people are also said to have sudden crude moments where they will trigger or anger others through their insensitivity (I think also having the tiger as the yoni animal of Chitra indicates a sort of aggressive or intimidating nature) speaking of having tiger as yoni animal may indicates a majestic sexual appeal
(Nakshatra Lord) Mars in 12th conjunct Rahu
Gains and projects energy into fantasies, creativity and/or spirituality. Rahu influence here may indicate a materialistic obsession with these things and an intense desire to make these things a tangible thing in their life or to be complete immersed in these things
Shravana Sun (Star of Learning)
Jihyo soul aligns with the "star of learning" quite a few other celebrities have shravana on their Sun or Moon because it's ruled by Moon (emotions, devotion, and inspiration) but also resides in Capricorn giving a influence of Saturn(restriction, building stregnth, & lessons) This indicates learning to cater to the masses and Shravana symbol being "the ear" can, to some extent, mean being formed or greatly influenced by authorities of society or your culture (the deity wish of shravana is "may i stay in good favor of the public and not have any shame)
the combination of Moon and Saturn can also mean jihyo has a big influence on the masses because anything Saturn touches creates strgnth and power with time and discipline so jihyo can be seen as very powerful and event authoritarian herself
Moon in 1st
Moon is better understood as "your existence on earth" which is similar to how it is seen in western astrology but in vedic astrology there is an understanding of how much the moon actually represents a person's personality as it is the entire spectrum of a person's ability to experience emotions. Moon is often called the "emotional mind" because it's understood how you can emotionally experience the world turns into how your entire being is formed.
Moon in 1st or Moon conjunct Ascendant can indicate having your true deepest self align with your life direction. It can also mean jihyo feels a little unrest because the moon (which is passive and needs calm energy) is in the active and exposed part of her chart
Moon on 1st house gives a charming apperance
Swati Moon (Star of Independence)
Jihyo's deepest self and main being is focused a lot on freedom and adaptability.
Swati being ruled by the Wind God (Vayu) it shows up typically for swati peoplr that at a young age they could of felt very easily swayed or pushed around by the world around them (almost being as light as leaf having no power or stability) (which comes from Swati being ruled by Rahu the part of us that is susceptible to influence of society or pop culture)
The deity goal of Swati is "May I move freely in all the universes" which indicates an ability to master any environment or situation. This may come from Swati being in Libra there is an influence of Venus giving a feeling of pleasure from the influence of the world around them. Swati people get use to this "easily moved" aspect of themselves through socializing, and the "high" of romantic feelings.
Rahu in 12th with Mars
Rahu in 12th means there is an obsession with fantasy or most hidden desires. Having Mars here can add to the flame but Rahu is very fragile and really doesn't feel comfortable with Mars force. This can result in a lot of uncontrolled energy and indulging too much in desires against better judgement. Having moon in Rahu Nakshatra can indicate a little mastery over this aspect of jihyo though

moon through the nakshatras p2  ੈ༺
Tumblr media
♡ these are just my personal observations and opinions, so don’t take them too seriously! ♡
moon in vedic astrology signifies the person’s mind and their emotions. it also symbolises their home and mother. what follows is a description of fundamental characteristics of the native. although can be interpreted as traits of their mother and home environment as well.
+ some nakshtras are split into two signs, whatever sign moon is placed will effect nature of moon. i do provide a brief description of the distinctions for the dual signed nakshatras.
art source ♡
♡ moon in magha (0° - 13.20°) leo
(symbol: throne), (lord: ketu) ~ “the magnificent”
as the throne represents royalty, these people possess a kingly mind. they tend to have a healthy sense of security over one’s self. they do well in any kind of authoritarian positions for this reason. inclination towards the occult and natural connection to their ancestors/ lineage. if negatively inflicted they can believe they are superior over others, otherwise they empower others.
♡ moon in purva phalguni (13.20° - 26.40°) leo
(symbol: front of bed), (lord: venus) ~ “former reddish one”

who tf do ketu men frequently date? 🧍🏼
so i decided to check the charts of ex/current partners of some selected well known ketu men.
See, Timothee Chalamat having dated Rahu and Jupiter girls kinda validates my theory of Ketu men going for these planetary archetypes. I also see Moon and Mercury nakshatra women.
He dated Shatabhisha ASC, Vishakha Moon Lourdes Leon. Was with Eiza Gonzalez who has Shravana Sun & a possible Purva Bhadrapada Moon. His iconic pairing with Lily Rose Depp who's Rohini Sun & Swati Moon and Vishakha ASC. And finally Kylie Jenner -- Ashlesha Sun, Swati Moon.
Avan Jogia, who is Ashwini Moon, is dating Punarvasu Moon Halsey -- and she also has Hasta Sun AND Swati ASC. He's also dated Zoey Deutch who is a Vishakha Sun. He dated Swati Sun Cleopatra Coleman. He had a thing with Vishakha Moon Miley Cyrus 💀
Ben Barnes, who is Ashwini Moon & Magha Sun, dated Ardra Moon Tamsin Egerton. Then Shatabhisha Moon Felicity Jones. And also Vishakha ASC AND Hasta Moon Julianna Hough.
Possible Magha Moon Robert Sheehan with his long-time girlfriend Revati Sun Sofia Boutella.
Idris Elba's -- who's Magha Moon -- current wife is a Punarvasu Sun AND a Jyestha Moon mwahaha.
Ashwini Moon Benedict Cumberbatch's wife is a Purva Bhadrapada Sun AND Rohini Moon.
Ashwini Moon Michael C. Hall's first wife had Revati Moon, name's Amy Spanger. Then he married Jyestha Sun Jennifer Carpenter who ALSO has Punarvasu Moon and a Hasta ASC.
Ashwini Moon Matt Dillion had dated Vishakha Moon Denise Richards. Also Punarvasu native Cameron Diaz. And I believe his recent partner is Vishakha Moon Roberta Mastromichele. He'd dated Ashlesha ASC, Swati Moon and Shravana Sun Heather Graham.
Magha Moon Paul Wesley was married to Hasta Moon Torrey DeVitto. He was also engaged to Punarvasu native Phoebe Tonkin.
Ashwini Sun Machine Gun Kelly (who also dated Punarvasu native Halsey), was with Ashlesha Moon Megan Fox. Daniel Day Lewis' wife is a Revati Moon. Cilian Murphy, who I also believe to be Ketuvian, is married to a Jyestha Moon woman. Christian Bale's -- who's Ashwini Moon -- wife may have Revati Sun (she may also be Ashwini Sun if she was born past noon).
And Ketu men also go for Ketu women. Justin Trudeau's wife is an Ashwini Sun. Machine Gun Kelly dated Ashwini native Amber Rose.
Ashwini Moon Milo Ventimiglia's wife, Jarah Mariano, is a Jyestha Moon. He's dated Ashwini Moon Alexis Bledel and also Hayden Panettiere who's also an Ashwini Moon with Magha Sun.
Ashwini Moon Boris Kodjoe's wife, Nichole Ari Parker, is a Mula Moon with a Hasta Sun.
Magha Sun Andrew Garfield was with Magha ASC, Swati Sun and Hasta Moon Emma Stone. He also dated Mula Sun Shannon Woodward. He'd been with Ashwini Sun and Vishakha Moon Phoebe Dynevor. Also Ardra Sun Alyssa Miller. He got on with Ashlesha Asc & Purva Bhadrapada Moon Rita Ora too.
Mula Sun, and confirmed Ashwini Moon, Jared Leto, had dated Vishakha Moon Scarlett Johansson. Then Ashley Olsen who is literally a Magha Moon with Ashlesha ASC. He'd been with Punarvasu ASC Cameron Diaz. He was also linked with Ardra Sun Lindsey Lohan. Had an iconic love struck moment with Shatabhisha Sun, Hasta Moon Lupita Nyong'o. I think Valery Kauffman too who's Rohini Sun and Shravana Moon. Reminder that he's a Krittika Asc, he's a Sun nakshatra and my god he's got a running list of hookups I can't deal with right now so Valery is where it ends. It's honestly giving Leonardo DiCaprio lmfao who's also a Sun nakshatra (can't stand solar males💀).
If I stumble on more Ketu men, I'll probably keep editing this post. But there's a pattern here. It's Rahu, Moon, Mercury, Jupiter and Ketu nakshatras that frequently pop up in the women they date. Honorable mentions are Sun and Mars nakshatras. Seriously, I find this fascinating.

FULL MOON IN SWATI ☆
Tonight we have a full moon in swati nakshatra eclipsed by Ketu. Ketu has been transiting in the sign of libra since April of 2022. Ketu ruling detachment and spirituality has pushed us to pay attention to our bodies more, through what we eat and by being more active. This has been a time of self reflection and accepting the comfort of being alone. This full moon wants us to release any pent up emotions or limiting beliefs we’re still holding onto. Swati gives us meaning and purpose in society, it gives us free expression. It sets us out on a journey to learn more about ourselves and what we’re capable of, in relation to a wider reality. We learn how to live with others as with ourselves. Swati gives bodies life, each life is it’s own reality. Ruled by the diety Vayu, the god of wind, swati is the breath of life. Its symbol is a shoot of plant blowing in the wind, it is the “self going star”, independent and free. With the combination of rahu’s innovative nature and the intense pleasurable nature of venus, swati brings their dreams to physical reality through creativity. Venus rules the arts and creation, and is heavily tied to feminine energy. We as women, want to connect to our wombs (the place of our feminine energy) which holds both of our sexual and creative energy. Through breath work whether it’s through meditating, yoga or dancing, we learn to flow with air. By being more fluid with your body, you achieve grace and balance. Walking slower, speaking slower, in general not rushing life and letting things flow to us we tap into our receptive energy. We need time to rest and to rejuvenate, to ground our energy and enhance our intuition. So crack open a window, or sit outside in nature and breathe air into yourself, after all it’s what keeps us alive.

Hi!!! Just wondering what a person with Vishakha Pada 1 Libra Moon in the First House conjunct Ascendent in Swati Pada 4 Libra would be like? It’s my sidereal star placement but I’ve never really understood the descriptions, I’ve always resonated so much with my Western double Scorpio moon and rising ! Thanks so much!
Hey!
Our moon's not just our emotions, but also our mind. It's how the world nurtures us. Western astrologers often treat it as innate. It's not - you are your moon because it's how you were raised. Your childhood makes your moon. Your Ascendant is what's innate - that's what you were born already being. The rest of your chart is the story of how your life and the world impacted this.
Essentially, the moon is our entire interior - it provides the foundation and structure of our past.
Moon in Vishakha may feel like an outcast, and is driven to create due to a yearning for purpose. They find compromise difficult and tact, if not pointless, then strenuous. They are fond of ceremony and festivity. They are talented at aggression and assertion. They are open to new experiences and hate feeling weak. Pada 1 is ruled by Jupiter but also Aries, giving you even more fire than most Vishakha moons, and even more spontaneity.
Vishakha is associated with Indra, the highest of the gods, and Agni, the god of fire and thus life's passions.
Swati is ruled by Rahu, and Pada 4 doubly so, though that Pada is also associated with Pisces. Swati wants desperately to carve out its own destiny. It is individualistic and protective of its rights. They shy away from overtly displaying aggression, however. They are impulsive, but also social, poised, and imaginative. They can be prone to over-exertion or extremes.
These are very, very basic definitions - the lunar mansions are not like the signs because there's a lot more shared territory between them and mythology behind them. (I suggest looking up KRSchannel for more on that.) Here's more based on your house system in tandem with these placements.
You likely were raised in an active and aggressive household. When you were younger, very young, early childhood, you likely chafed against this slightly, not naturally dominating others harshly, and instead preferring decisive but peaceful cooperation, but passion is a tenet of the house you grew up in, and you quickly, very quickly adopted both passion and ferocity as crucial to your identity. It defines you, and this perspective is completely inextricable from who you are as a whole.
Likely, it was your mother or maternal line that you took your cues from. If not, it was severe lack of a maternal figure, and the need which arose to fulfill that role yourself. You also might want to consider whether your father or paternal figure ever filled a more traditionally maternal role for you - he was likely moody but protective, perhaps also more of a comfort than your high-minded mother. Both would have had a big impact on your self image. Cancer is ruling your 10th, and with the 10th house's lord in your 1st, you also probably find yourself attracting public attention when you least expect it, just from acting like yourself.
This won't be an entirely perfect reading, because I obviously am only working off of two placements and a general idea of the house system's layout. You should check where your Rahu/North Node, Jupiter, and Venus are placed - possibly Saturn as well, since Cancer's in the 10th. With closer investigation, you can get more specific about what specifically is at play.
It is very possible to practice both forms of astrology, just so you know! Personally, I advise it. I see the tropical natal chart as more accurate 'vibe'-wise, in the moment, whereas the sidereal is more in tune with overall practical realities.
Now, I happen to share a large amount of my major placements between both charts, which makes things easier, and makes sense for me as a person. But for example, my Ascendant in Vedic is Gemini and in Western it's Cancer.
This lines up - overall, I've always been a curious person with a quick tongue, sharp mind, and knack for writing and speech, but I tend to feel and come across more immediately as considerate, creative, moody, maternal, and thoughtful. I didn't understand at all when I saw I was a Gemini Rising in Vedic! It scared me off for a while, to be honest.
But I can admit the accuracies in both after taking a step back, away from my personal perceptions and toward what I know my real, objective impact to be. To be fair, this approach might be more difficult for a Moon-conjunct-Ascendant native - my mother has the same so it wouldn't surprise me (I say w love ofc ♡♡♡)
Also, keep in mind that most Libra moon descriptions written by western astrologers are totally out of tune with how Vedic treats the signs, so don't read (most) Tumblr astro posts about Libra moons hoping for accuracy. It's unlikely.
Libra is super white-washed in general, as is Venus. "Scorpio is where true passion lies - Libra is boring, superficial romance." I see this attitude all the time. It just isn't true. Really, Libra yearns to be a part of a team, to be partners, to be able to trust. Meanwhile, an unhealthy Scorpio's doubt can be fatalistic. That sounds romantic but what it actually is, is tedious. Libra is as much a master of manipulation and social play as Scorpio, and they tend to make a lot fewer snap judgments, romanticized as 'intuition'. And there is no sign or Nakshatra incapable of passion and intensity.
There's plenty of good points to Scorpio that Libra isn't privy to, but I wanted to clear that up above because you mentioned certain descriptions clicking and not clicking. Astrologers are so, so biased all the time. I'm not as above this as I'd like to think I am, for sure - but my point is, this is why the best way to approach astrology is by reading and researching on your own, or with the help of an astrologer you trust, to fine-tune your own understanding, which you can then check and balance by referring to other astrologers you also trust.
Hopefully this was helpful, thanks for the ask, feel free to drop in again if there's anything else!

James Maslow looks like a mix between a Bharani of Aries and having the beauty / attractiveness of a Swati of Libra, so when I saw that he was a D1 Bharani Moon, I intuitively guessed that he had D60 True Node Ketu in Swati of Libra and was correct. D60 True Node Ketu happens to be conjunct Venus.
He has large, physically attractive Venusian features (including eyes) that are also masculine at the same time like a Bharani male and he has a strong physical beauty / attractiveness / balance of features like a D60 Ketu in Swati of Libra. Venus’ conjunction to D60 Ketu in Swati of Libra heightens his beauty / attractiveness.
