Can u give us disturbing and wholsome facts about both the SK boys plssssss
I'll do wholesome facts first:
~ Sun will visit shelters to spend time with the cats. He will even help out with adoption events to make sure they go to loving homes.
~Sun and Moon will babysit for parents who need someone to watch their kids. Those are hilarious and interesting adventures on their own.
~Sun's cheeks are buttons. When pressed at the same time, his rays spin.
~There is an annual fair that happens in town. Sun and Moon help fund it and provide entertainment for kids, reliving some of their daycare days. They will act as clowns.
~I've mentioned this before, but the boys will often help around with charity work, acting as good Samaritans.
~Sun owns lots of sweaters, some he owns multiple pairs of because they're his favorites.
~Moon still has his music box. He will play music to calm and comfort an upset child.
Disturbing facts under the cut:
~Sun has an extremely morbid curiosity, and will often act on those thoughts. He sometimes gets carried away and needs Moon to pull him out of it, otherwise he will...indulge.
~Sun and Moon will sometimes make games out of their torture sessions with Rulebreakers. Games sometimes lead to sibling banter, and often express their frustration on the Rulebreaker.
~Sun has once stabbed a Rulebreaker with one of his own rays. Repeatedly.
~Both Sun and Moon have broken, torn and bitten off fingers of Rulebreakers. Their bite force is strong enough to do so.
~Sun and Moon's mouths can open. Nobody knows, except for Rulebreakers.
~Moon has a great many knives at his disposal and will use them for various uses. Flaying, slicing, stabbing, etc.
~Sun and Moon have practiced body anatomy on cadavers, learning where to cause damage without immediately killing their targets. Example, they know where the main arteries are, so when they slice or stab, the target doesn't immediately bleed to death.

It is time for a word on Echinococcus multilocularis, sometimes referred to as the fox tapeworm.
Be warned, the following will include discussion and images of a deadly parasite and its effect on the human body. TW: body horror and gore are relevant.
E. multilocularis is a rather small and unassuming tapeworm. Unlike its cousins, it is not exceptionally long.
Tumblr media
That’s them next to a paper clip. The largest ones will only reach 6mm long. In truth, these adult worms are not the dangerous form of the parasite. These only exist in the definitive host, something like a fox or a dog.
Tumblr media
Zooming in further, we can see the structure of this parasite. As with most parasitic works, the vast majority of its body is dedicated to reproduction. The segments of its body are called proglottids, the largest proglottid at the end is gravid which means it is full of eggs. This proglottid will eventually break off, and the previous will become gravid as a new segment is formed from the neck. The proglottids that are broken off are passed through the digestive tract and expelled with feces, after which the proglottids break down and the eggs mature. After a time, a rodent or perhaps a rabbit will accidentally consume the matured eggs while foraging or grazing. That is when things grow horrific, and in the case of the rabbit or mouse, when they get eaten so the parasite can mature in the gut of a fox and live a happy parasitic worm life.
Tumblr media
A lot of the terminology on this life cycle is a bit alienating for laymen, so to simplify: think of an oncosphere as a hatchling worm, a protoscolex is a fledgling worm, and a scolex is a juvenile. It’s not a perfect metaphor, but genuinely the life stages of cestodes are weird enough they require their own post.
You may notice another term on that chart— hydatid cyst. First and foremost, this is the part that makes my little metaphor fall apart, but it’s also where things get rather disturbing. A hydatid cyst is something like a gigantic egg sac of sorts. The oncospheres escape the intestines after hatching and travel to the liver by burrowing into the intestinal wall and accessing the bloodstream. In the liver, they encyst and multiply within the cysts such that the cysts begin to grow. In this species, the cysts cleave into new cysts as they grow too large to prevent rupture. Each cyst contains countless little proscoleces, sometimes called hydatid sand because if you cut a cyst open it looks like it has sand stuck to the walls.
Tumblr media
This is the inside of a liver filled with hydatid cysts. Note that these cysts completely filled the liver. The most common cause of death from this parasite is liver failure for obvious reasons. These cysts have the consistency of water balloons, and usually have to be removed surgically in conjunction with anti-parasitic medication. The fragility of these cysts makes removal without rupture a very dangerous and tedious procedure in most cases.
It is most common for this parasite to infest the liver, but it has also been found to affect the lungs, heart, brain, and even the optic nerve, showing it is perhaps not all that picky.

Now, though foxes are the favored definitive host, this parasite can also mature and produce eggs inside the bodies of cats and dogs, which is where most humans contract it. The primary way to mitigate this is to monitor your pets and not let them consume any part of wild animals, especially rodents. Getting your pet regularly seen and wormed by a vet is important, as is washing your hands well after cleaning litter boxes or backyards. This parasite can also exist in soil where fox feces has decomposed as the eggs can remain viable for a long time. Always wash your hands after gardening, and avoid touching your face when working in the yard. Fox tapeworms are almost never detected until it’s late enough to have caused serious damage.

Y'know, I started listening to The Magnus Archives because Julia Drawfee said she was listening but didn't start at the beginning cuz it was bad. Which meant I had to listen to the first episode, for morbid curiosity.
Personally I enjoyed the podcast from episode 1 but I understand the desire to skip filler eps so no hate to Julia or anyone else who didn't start at the beginning but...
Now that I'm on episode 121 I can't help but ask: if not the beginning where do people start? Squirm? After Prentiss? I'm so curious.

I've been seeing lots of reports of "presumed" human remains found in the wreckage of the Titan Submersible. I was under the impression that they had turned into "pink mist". So how did they find human remains? I'm morbidly curious as to what was left of them.

Inspired by that one ask in the fairy au but this time i wanna ask a similar question to the SK au (if that is alright and if you have the time ofc.)
I have always been someone who liked gore or injuries and all that. Even when i was a kid i would be a little extroverted weirdo. i was not afraid to ask my teachers (science teachers to be specific,) weird questions. such as "if i take all the organs out of their chest will it be hollow?" or "if you behead someone, will their blood actually squirt?" and similar questions. although i pull away when i know that person is getting uncomfortable, i would still ask other kids in my class thoughts on cannibalism and what they think would be their favorite human part to eat. If my little weird self were to meet the SK boys i don't think they will stop asking such questions because they are robots, they must know a lot. so how would they react if my little self came up to them (maybe during sun's book stuff or if I'm lost in the theme park with moon guiding me,) asked such weird questions. (sorry for the long ask, and thanks for reading all that just to answer with probably a simple paragraph or two.)
I think Sun would be a touch concerned about your morbid curiosity, but I don't think he would ever tell you to stop thinking in such a way since those thoughts are usually normal. Surprisingly though, Sun would have likely asked himself such questions and found out during torture sessions.
Moon would absolutely answer your questions, in as much detail as you wanted. He is into the dark stuff. Sun honestly is, too, but he worries about the lingering effect it would have.

letting my tapeworm eat me to own the omnivores
That’s another interesting factor. A tapeworm is an animal, T. saginata is also almost never dangerous outside of the occasional stomach ache and you may need to eat more to keep from losing weight. Of course, the ARA answer is going to be “Uhm ACTUALLY you get those from eating ANIMALS so we wont ever get one” which isn’t technically true as tapeworm eggs can contaminate crops and many veggie dishes aren’t cooked traditionally, but even if we ARE limiting it to the more common mode of infection and Tapeworms Georg eats a raw steak, what would the ethical vegan next step be should TG want to convert to a vegan lifestyle after this? Would keeping the innocent worm alive and content be the noble act? Or would murdering it be justified because it’s inside your body?

I don't know what these trees are called, but I suffer everytime I walk past them in the spring because their white blooms smell EXACTLY like a drowned corpse. It frustrates me that others don't seem to notice or know that's the smell they're smelling!!! 😣

I had a thought earlier today
"Someone has probably posted Gollum x Reader fanfiction based on that one line from the 2023 Gollum game about the breeding halls"
So, because of morbid curiosity, I looked. Yet, for some reason, I couldn't find anything.
