Another story I think about but don't know that I'll write - AU where Ryoko never tells Mukuro that they're sisters.
Beneath a cut because this relies on me changing one thing re: twins' backstory as I plan to use it in the trilogy and then following the major event changes that come as a result of that singular AU change.
Basically, spoilers for that, so don't read if you don't want those.
Mukuro confesses, but Ryoko says no.
Ryoko doesn't go on the family trip because Mukuro doesn't stand up to her dad on behalf of their being sisters.
Ikusaba-sensei doesn't have Fenrir try to kill Ryoko when they come for Mukuro (because he doesn't see their relationship as a threat and because Ryoko isn't there).
Ryoko doesn't run away and change her name or start Junk Co. and subsequently never becomes a fashionista.
Mukuro spends her time super devoted to Fenrir. Thinks she has moved on.
Comes back to Hope's Peak as the Ultimate Soldier in the same class as Ryoko Otonashi the Ultimate Analyst.
Sudden onslaught of feelings because she didn't move on she just suppressed them.
Shenanigans ensue wherein:
1) Ryoko and Yasuke are very dating. Everyone knows this.
2) SOMEBODY tries to get Mukuro to confess again anyway (Ryoko will still say no. She is consist on this front).
3) Real ship is Mukuro with whoever thought she should go confess to someone who is ALREADY IN A RELATIONSHIP.
4) Also Ryoko has glasses because let her be a nerd girl.
5) Also Izuru Kamukura is still a thing and so are the Reserve Course riots because Junko didn't start either of those, she just used them for her own Ultimate Despair benefit. (It is debatable if Ryoko is still Ultimate Despair here or not. I took away the things I used for her catalyst. I don't know.)
The last one really just means examining maybe what the Steering Committee planned to do about all of this. There's no mass murder of the student council (probably?), but Chisa and Munakata and Sakakura are still investigating.
...and Kyoko would be, too, if she knew there was something to investigate without Jin literally telling her.
So like.
Not Despaircest, because Mukuro would endgame ship with someone else (and Ryoko is all in on Yasuke).
But more of a. what if. for my very specific TTLT headcanon backstory for the twins.

If you're still writing for hotd, could you do a aemond x twin brother reader (platonic ofc). When aemond loses his eye, his brother takes his own eye on the opposite side as a form of solidarity. They have a close relationship and reader claims cannibal as aemond claims vhagar. I know it's a lot but I thought it was a good idea. Hope you have a great day

Tumblr media
Pairing: Platonic!Aemond Targaryen x Male!Twin!Targaryen!Reader
Genre: Neutral
Warnings: Gore, taking out an eye, typical violence, threatening someone
Being the twin to a prince was never meant to be easy, well, others at the bottom would say different. That is because they have never been in his position before. Y/n was the fourth child of Alicent and Viserys, the younger twin to Aemond Targaryen.
They said that the gods flip a coin to determine a Targaryen’s fate when they are born, one side was greatness, the other was madness. If this was indeed true, Y/n’s side of the coin would be sadness. There was not a day from the day he was born that he did felt like a void was inside of his heart, and the only way to fill it was to be close to his twin at all times.
Since childhood, Y/n clung to Aemond’s side no matter what they were doing. Training, eating, in the library reading, the one thing they did not do was sleep in the same bed. Alicent tried everything to keep Y/n a part, as she was worried that in the future that their closeness would prevent them from finding wives, however Y/n still refused to let his brother go.
Aemond was dragonless, so was Y/n, they were the only ones without dragons and boy were they bitter for it.
See, Y/n was what you called the ‘the silent but deadly’ type of person. He told everything, every feeling, every emotion to his twin and no one else. And for this, he had no idea how to express himself to others freely.
So, he did it through violent means.
“Behold! The Pink Dread!” Aegon, Jace and Luke all said in a mocking way as the pig stood before them.
Aemond kept his emotions inside, he would not show them that this got to him. His twin however, did not have the same reaction.
Y/n did not hesitate as he grabbed Aegon by the collar, his fist raised as he was about to punch him. Aegon was surprised to say the least, as he flinched back from his brother’s raised hand. Jace and Luke were also shocked to see this, as Aegon was the eldest among them so no one went against him. Seeing Aegon’s own younger brother do that to him was not something they expected.
“Tell me why I shouldn’t make you unable to see Sunfyre for a week, brother.” Y/n spat, his hand did not loosen its grip.
“I-I’ll tell mother!” Aegon said out as a last resort.
“Mother? Mother would thank me for knocking some sense into you.” Y/n’s eyes narrowed, the dragon burned within him brightly.
Aegon managed to shake himself free, himself and their nephews left quickly so as to not anger him anymore. Y/n turned back to Aemond, wanting to comfort him. But, Aemond was already down the pit to see for dragons. Y/n notified a guard and Aemond was taken out before he became ashes.
“What are you doing?! Are you trying to get killed?” Y/n looked him over for injuries.
“I’m fine.” Aemond replied quickly, hiding his disdain for dragging him out.
They were escorted back to their mother who was watching over Helaena with her bugs.
“Do I have to have you both confined to your chambers-”
“They gave him a pig!” Y/n yelled, cutting Alicent off.
Her attention went to the younger, then back to the elder to confirm if this was true. Aemond’s face said everything.
“You both will have a dragon. One day. I promise.” Alicent brought both of her sons into a hug before leaving to talk to her husband and her eldest son for pulling such a trick on his own brothers.
The dragon did not come to them, even them trying to claim other older dragons did not work. Y/n suggested they go to Dragonstone to take a shot with the dragons there, Alicent allowed after much persuasion.
Once they arrived on Dragonstone, they went directly to where the dragons were kept. The dragon keepers standing there waiting for them.
By the end of the day, Y/n had managed to fly around with a dragon so large that the shadow covered all of Dragonstone. Even the keepers were surprised, and when he landed, everyone was stunned.
Y/n Targaryen had claimed the legendary beast that is Cannibal.
Y/n climbed down from the dragon’s back effortlessly as he pats its side, running to hug his twin and ask the older about his own dragon. Aemond was impressed by his abilities, but rather sad as he himself was unsuccessful as claiming a dragon.
“It’s ok! You’ll have one! You will have a dragon with wars and conquests under its belt! I promise Aemond!” Y/n exclaimed as he hugged his brother tight.
Well, that would come true only a year later as came the death of Laena Velayron. By the end of the funeral, Aemond had run off by himself as he heard the sad roar of a dragon in the distance.
On the other hand, Y/n was freaking out as he did not see his twin anywhere near him. He wanted to go find him but the guard said he needed to go to bed, but how could he sleep without knowing that Aemond was somewhere else? How could he sleep without knowing if Aemond was safe?
Well, he did not have to wait for long, the guards soon came and escorted him down telling him something had happened to his brother. This made Y/n practically run down the stairs to such a gorey sight before him, his twin flame, his brother who he loved so much was sitting in a chair getting stitches across his eye. Running to Aemond’s side, leeching to the elder’s side as he looked him over for other possible injuries.
“How did this- what happened?” He quietly asked. Aemond responded with one eye movement, gaze shifting over to their nephews.
“Which one?” Y/n’s tone now held venom, wanting vengeance and revenge to the one that did this to his twin.
“The one that I broke the nose of.” His response made Y/n realize, of course, it was not hard to see who he was talking about after all.
“Lucerys. Of course. Those..bastards.” Y/n truly hated saying that word, he wanted to be close to his nephews, but what they just pulled was not going to be forgotten and forgiven so easily.
Alicent came over to the twins, giving them concerning glances. Pushing them behind her as she watched Rhaenyra come into the room. The twins held each other’s hands as they waited for what would happen to them.
“My son has lost an eye!” Alicent exclaimed, gesturing to Aemond who sat in the chair.
“It was my sons who were attacked, and forced to defend themselves.” Rhaenyra retorted back. “The legitimacy of my son’s birth were put loudly to question.”
Y/n and Aemond both looked at each other and smirked, they couldn’t help it, everyone who had eyes could see it of course.
“What did you actually do?” Y/n asked under his breath.
“Claimed Vhagar. They say I stole her.” Aemond leaned into his forehead against Y/n’s.
“That’s stupid. You can’t steal a dragon, the dragon chooses its rider. Otherwise, I would not be alive talking. Cannibal would have eaten me.” Both of them then tuned out the rest of the conversation. Well, until their mother decided to grab the dagger sitting at their father’s belt and attack their half-sister with it.
“Where is duty? Where is sacrifice?! It’s trampled under your pretty foot again!” Alicent yelled as her wrist was caught in Rhaenyra’s grip.
“Exhausting wasn’t it? Hiding under a cloak of your own righteousness. Now they see you as you are..” Rhaenyra said back, struggling with holding the queen back.
Alicent yelled as she forced her hand with the dagger down, the sound of fabric slicing and dagger went through the room. Rhaenyra staggered backwards, Corlys was behind her and managed to hold her before she was going to fall more.
Aemond stood up with the help of Y/n, walking over to their mother slowly.
Seeing that Alicent had cut Rhaenyra, Y/n wanted this to end. Grabbing the dagger from the floor before anyone could notice, and what he did next made everyone gasp in shock.
Sliding the dagger across his right eye, with force, the same thing that Luke did to his brother. The blade dropped to the ground again, this time, with way more blood than the last. Clutching his eye in pain, Y/n turned to look at both parties, blood dripping from his socket.
“Now, we are all even. I took my eye, there is no need for Luke’s.” Y/n spoke sternly.
Alicent looked in horror as another son of hers had lost an eye, now it was two eyes instead of one; and it was all from two of her own children and none from Rhaenyra.
“Your mistake has caused my other son to take his own eye. Is this what you wanted? More of my children mutilating themselves for your sake?!” Alicent yelled, and only silence followed.
Y/n was sent to the maester immediately as the eye also needed to be taken out. Unlike his twin however, he screamed through the entire process and held onto Aemond’s hand for dear life. Soon, the same stitches covered the scar over his eye, the opposite of Aemond’s.
For the years to come, the people of Westeros knew the twins as the single-eyed princes. However, no one tried to get close to them. Or rather, it was the twins themselves who refused. They stayed true to each other rather than to marry some stranger they did not know.
Aemond had a sapphire in place of his missing eye, while Y/n had a ruby in place of his.
Two spirits stone cold but the sparks of two stones together burned brightly in between them.
Two of the biggest dragons in the world by their side.
No one will ever cross them ever again.

This is probably the weirdest request ever but can I request Mukuro, Junko, Komaru, and Sonia with a s/o that turned into a marketable plushy? I don't mean someone made a plushy of them I mean they were transformed into it. I had a nightmare where that happened to me and for some reason, it was the worst thing I've ever dreamt.
Please Don't Turn Me Into a Marketable Plushy!
Series: Danganronpa.
Characters: Mukuro, Junko, Komaru, and Sonia.
Genre: Fluff/Crack.
Reader: Gender Neutral.
Notes: I'm a person who doesn't dream much but even when I do it's usually a nightmare. But this is ridiculous! But like so funny at the same time! But bestie what's going on to be having dreams like this? 😭
Tumblr media
Mukuro
Quite it had been suspicious quite as of late Mukuro had noticed. By now she would have expected you to be by her side. At first she was worried very worried that something could have happened to you.
She knew you could handle yourself but even still she was still worried. The feelings of worry would hold merit in time. As the school day had ended and Mukuro had not seen you she decided to check up on you herself.
Mukuro had texted you multiple times throughout the day and had gotten no reply. Strange as you would always reply to her as quickly as you could. This didn't cause her to panic as there are many suitable reasons why you wouldn't text her throughout the day.
Soon Mukuro had made it to your home and let herself in with the spare key that you had given her. Stepping into your home she called out for you. "S/O?" No response.
She made her up to your bedroom as maybe you had slept in or were sick. Although nothing could have prepared her for what she was about to see. "S/O? Are you in there? I'm coming in." Mukuro spoke as she opened the door to your bedroom.
"Mukuro! Help me!" A voice could be heard in the room it took a second to register. But Mukuro was able to pinpoint the voice with her vigilant eyes.
She looked at the desk in your and a plushy could be seen. No wait a plushy of you surely. However, as she moved closer it became clear that the plushy was indeed you.
"S/O? Is that you? What happened to you?" Mukuro questioned as kneeled to get a closer look at you. "I'm not sure! I just woke up like this! I tried to call and text you but I can't do anything as a plushy!" You spoke jumping up and down your arms flapping up and down like a bird's wings.
"..." Mukuro was speechless I mean who wouldn't be?!? What are you supposed to do let alone say something about this?
After regaining her composer Mukuro picked you put and put you in her blazer pocket. "I'll take care of you for now let's wait until tomorrow to see if you return to normal. If not then we can ask one of the Ultimates for help." Mukuro spoke as a smile grew on your face.
Finally, this will be a great way to see your girlfriend in action as she practices her skills as an Ultimate! A smile began to grow on Mukuro's face as she looked at you somehow you looked even cuter as a plushy.
Junko
You were late...very late! Where the hell were you?!? THE JUNKO ENOSHIMA! had invited YOU!
To be at a photoshoot with her and you were late nowhere to be seen. Heck, she wanted you to join her and get pictures taken! Well fine, be that she if she cares! (Honestly, I would say she does care but it's probably causing her despair by you not being there. So it's probably not affecting all that much but you never know with how unpredictable she is.)
Once this entire photoshoot was over she went to your home and DEMAND an answer! Heck! Screw the photoshoot! She needed her answers now! Confused by her outburst no one could do anything to stop her from leaving.
Loud knocks could be heard at your front door. "S/O? S/O? Open up! I know you're in there! You queen of despair demands to know why you weren't at the photoshoot!" More knocks could be heard after she spoke.
But then loud bangs could be heard from your front door. What was she...was she kicking your door down? She's insane! (Now ain't that the truth.)
She could be heard running around your look for you and possibly breaking a few things along the way. She then made her grand entrance into your room by nearly kicking the door off its hinges. "Hey! Stop it! You'll destroy my home! You've already destroyed some of it!"
A voice could be heard and Junko looked around until she saw a plushy that looked like you sitting on the table. "HAHAHAHAHA WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO YOU?!?! YOU LOOK RIDICULOUS!!" Wow, how comforting...
Junko spoke as picked you by the head and placed you on top of her head like a crown. "Come on my beloved I'll show you what despair looks like firsthand!" Junko spoke dashing out of your room. Will you return to normal? Who knows...
Komaru
Komaru had spent her day drawing manga and well she lost track of time. While she was taking a break from drawing she realized she hadn't heard from you in a while! She has sent you a text. 'Hey S/O! How are you? Are you doing okay?'
She set her phone down and went back to drawing and expected a response soon. Although as more time passed a response never came. Thinking you were just busy Komaru sent another text.
Although more time has passed and Komaru still hasn't heard back from you. This caused her to worry so she decided to leave and go to your home. You had given her a spare key and let her enter your home if she ever needed anything.
"S/O?" Komaru called out to you as she entered the home closing the door behind her. She had gotten no response from you she walked looking for you. Making her way upstairs she decided to check your bedroom as you weren't anywhere on the first floor.
Komaru knocked before entering your bedroom. "S/O? Are you in there? I'm coming in." Komaru spoke as she entered your room.
"Komaru! Over here!" A voice could be heard in the room after looking around for a while Komaru was able to pinpoint where the voice had come from. It was from you or well a plushy that looked like you.
"S/O? Is that you? What happened?" Komaru spoke as she got closer to the desk you were on. "I'm not sure Komaru! I just woke up like this!"
Komaru held out her hand and you jumped onto it. "You're so cute S/O! This just gave me a great idea for a manga! Come on I'll bring you to my place so we can work on it together!"
Komaru smiled as she held you in her hands. You were so cute like this and she'd have to take pictures! But most of all she can show you how much of an amazing girlfriend she is by protecting you!
Sonia
There could only be one cause for why you were like this now. Like what exactly? Like a plushy yes that's right you awoke to find yourself now as a plushy.
You knew Sonia was good friends with Gundham but this was just ridiculous! Had something gone wrong while they were doing black magic? Or was this something that Sonia wanted to happen?
Well, you truly had no idea and could only guess and wait. Waiting was all you really could do as being plushy had its limitations. On the other hand, you looked adorable!
You can only imagine how Sonia would react to something like this. Oh well, it's not like you would mind anyway. Being cared for and adored as a plushy while your girlfriend takes care of you?
You suppose there was nothing to complain about although this waiting was killing you! Just how much longer would Sonia be? You need to be with her at once!
Click
However, it seems you were in luck as Sonia has now returned! "Sonia! Sonia! Over here!" You called out to her as you jumped to get her attention. Sonia was stunned for a moment but then recovered from her moment of shock.
"Oh my! S/O? Is that you? What happened? You are simply adorable!" Ah, there is was you expected to find you even more adorable like this. I mean you are her partner so of course you were adorable!
Sonia had moved closer to the desk that you were sitting on as a smile appeared on her face. She held out her hands and you hopped onto them as held you gently. "You are simply adorable! Come S/O I have many outfits your size! You must try them you will look wonderful!"
"But Sonia-" you had tried to ask her if you were like this because of something to do with Gundham and black magic. But Sonia had cut you off before you could finish. "Oh! I must get my camera!" Oh well, you'll deal with that later your just happy to spend time with Sonia.

khr oc: kouki | ao3 series
If asked about the worst time of his life, Kouki wouldn't have to think before saying ‘high school.’ It frightens him sometimes to remember the void of depression and self-hatred that filled those years. He still has bad days, of course—hard not to, when his life now consists of way too many dead bodies—where he thinks he might never be whole again, if he ever was, but the neutral and even good days have become more consistent over the years. Though it was because of the events back then that he eventually reached this point, he still wouldn’t want to relive it given the chance (and thank goodness time travel science is kept under heavy lock and key these days).
So he really doesn’t understand why he’s helping set up their high school reunion.
“You know I’m not technically a part of the planning committee, right?” Kouki says, halfway through searching their old yearbook for classmates he wishes he doesn't remember.
Hana snorts without looking up from the pile of venue research around her. “Yeah, you weren’t ‘technically’ a part of the student council either, but you still helped us out all the time.”
Kouki scoffs. He doesn’t like to be reminded of that either. “That’s because you were in the process of inducting me into your cult.”
“We’re family!” Kyouko interjects.
“Look me in the eyes and tell me the mafia isn’t a cult.”
She pouts, because she knows he’s right. Kouki nods, yeah that's what I thought, then flips a page in the yearbook and makes a face at his own, younger face grinning too-widely back at him in a group photo with some classmates. Some guy had an arm playfully thrown around teenage-him’s neck as the photo was taken. He vaguely remembers thinking that guy was pretty annoying.
“Do I really have to go to this?” he whines. “Tsuna's going too, right? Shouldn't someone stay here to make sure Vongola doesn't fall apart?"
"Reborn will be here," Kyouko says brightly.
"Vongola is definitely doomed."
"Oh, come on, it's just one weekend. It'll be fun! We get to see all our old classmates, catch up..."
"It'll be boring. At least you guys have your partners to keep you company, I’ll be totally alone! While pretending to like all of these people!”
“You led a guy on for a full month to steal company information from him," Hana says.
“I got paid for that.”
A knock on the door interrupts their argument.
“Come in,” Kyouko calls and Mochida enters with a small stack of papers in his hands.
“Sorry to interrupt, but Katou, you have some paperwork.”
“Ugh,” says Kouki, but he beckons him over. “Oh, hey, Mochida, do you want to be my date to my high school reunion?”
Without missing a beat, Mochida says, “No, but I’m sure Rokudou-san would be happy to take you.”
Kouki tosses a pen at his face, which he takes with grace. “Don’t even fucking joke about that, he might hear you and then he’d actually do it just to taunt Hibari-san and I don’t want to get stuck in the middle of their weird courting rituals. Again.”
Everyone in the room shudders at once.
Mochida hands him his paperwork. “Well, I’m sure you’ll find someone. Good luck.” He dips his head respectfully, as though Kouki doesn’t know he’s silently laughing at him, then quickly exits the room before Kouki can throw something else at him.
Hana, on the other hand, laughs openly, and Kyouko says, smiling sweetly, “Date or not, you’re coming. Now start making some calls.”

Oh No, It's Again
Summary: Makoto wakes while everyone slumbers and makes his way to an unlocked kitchen and sees her standing there, bag of Cheetos in one hand and a pair of chopsticks in the other, munching them a little too loudly, and when she holds the bag out to him, he doesn’t take it.
If I kill you, will that stop everything?
She grins.  Won’t know if you won’t try, will you, lucky boy?
~
Inspired by this post, but absolutely nothing like it.
Mostly.
Rating: M for graphic depictions of violence and general Danganronpa reasons.
AO3
The first time Makoto falls down the garbage chute, still locked to a desk that, along with him, was meant to be crushed by a compactor, he reminisces about when he first came to Hope’s Peak Academy.
Then he hits the floor head first and has just enough time to hear the cracking of his skull, the sharp shattering of his spine, before everything goes black.
~
The second time Makoto falls down the garbage chute, still locked to what is probably that exact same desk, he has a sharp sense of déjà vu.  He muses on this for a few seconds, brow furrowing, until he lands, again head first, his neck snapping at a sharp angle.
This time, though, his eyes are open, and he sees everything, but not enough.
~
Makoto doesn’t eat a lot of food, but he finds himself throwing a lot away.
A lot of trash.  A lot of excess.
He feels bad about it, at first, because it’s just such a waste of food, and there are starving people all over the world, and it doesn’t really matter that they for some reason have unlimited food in Hope’s Peak (maybe, if they weren’t in the middle of a Killing Game – and what sort of person refers to this as a game? – it would be great to bring everyone here.  Unlimited food!  No one would need to starve! But first they need to get out of this alive)—
It’s not like he knows why he’s doing this.
Just something…something in him tells him that there needs to be more trash.
More trash.
Like it’s some sort of life-or-death matter.
~
It takes at least another seventy-eight respawns before Makoto survives in the garbage chute.
(Then she temples her fingers together and leans forward with an intrigued grin on her face.  Finally, something interesting.)
~
The first time Junko faces the trash compactor, she glances up, waiting to see if Alter Ego will appear to save her the same way it saved Makoto.
~
Sayaka Maizono hesitates before attacking Leon.
He catches her in the attempt, and he attacks back.
She dies in the bathroom of the boy she’d meant to frame, blood-tipped finger trying hopelessly to write her murderer’s name on the wall beside her, everything going black before she can finish.
~
The second time, Junko doesn’t even glance up.  She knows how this story ends.
She also knows how to get out.
Ultimate Analyst, baby!
~
Sayaka Maizono hesitates before attacking Leon, and when he attacks her, she has a strong, strong sense of déjà vu.
Unfortunately, she is not the only one.
Leon cuts her fingers off while she’s still alive, but he’s an idiot and tries to throw them in the incinerator, too.  A few of them make it in, sure, and there’s such a stench that everyone complains as soon as they wake up.  The problem is that not all of them make it in.
Makoto might be a lot of things – he might even be a murderer! – but no one believes that he would chop Sayaka’s fingers off.
Or try to burn them.
~
Chihiro doesn’t ask Mondo for help; he asks Taka.
Mondo, desperate to keep his secret exactly as it is, strangles Byakuya for being a prick.
(She laughs a bit at that.  She’s been waiting on someone to shut him up.)
Unfortunately, without Byakuya to mess with the scene, Mondo’s caught easily.
Kyoko, impressive as always, matches Mondo’s fingerprints to the bruises on Byakuya’s neck.
Before they get to the trial, Jack snaps.  Mondo isn’t killed with the same care and consideration that her other victims were given.  In fact, the only reason they even know that the bloody mess is Mondo is because he’s the only one missing.
(It’s the most gruesome murder she’s seen, and she’s seen a lot of murders.)
Jack cackles as she’s led to her death.
Except that she sneezes, and Toko doesn’t know why she’s being flayed alive with her own scissors.  She doesn’t know why, but she understands, and the despair on her face when she finds out that Byakuya, too, is gone—
(Oh, if only it could be like this every time.  But, then, she’s seen this now.  It won’t be as good next time.)
~
Sayaka Maizono doesn’t hesitate, but she hasn’t thought through the follow-up.
Everything else proceeds as normal, other than killing her at the Class Trial instead of Leon.
She dances herself to death with red hot iron shoes, her screams tuned into music.
(She’d been proud of herself for that one and glad to find an opportunity to finally use it!)
Makoto doesn’t get enough trash in the garbage this time, too distraught over Sayaka actually killing someone, and breaks his neck.  This time, some of his brains splatter out!
(This would be a lot cooler if she hadn’t seen that thirty respawns ago.)
~
Sayaka Maizono succeeds.
Everyone votes for Makoto as the murderer.
She didn’t realize her success would mean everyone else dies.
Rather than graduating at the top of her class like a good girl does, she jumps down the garbage chute.
Now, Makoto definitely has not had enough time to fill the garbage with enough trash to soften that blow, but Sayaka doesn’t land on her head.  She breaks both of her legs and starves to death after eating what garbage can be found.
~
The next time, Sayaka realizes enough to throw herself in the incinerator instead of down the garbage chute.
It’s immensely painful, but it doesn’t last nearly as long.
(She snacks on Cheetos after the Trial, licks the orange dust from her fingertips with a sigh, and resets the chess pieces.)
~
Makoto, tired of falling down the garbage chute, doesn’t sacrifice himself for Kyoko.
Of course, he can’t remember falling down the garbage chute, but something in the back of his head says, Hey, don’t help Kyoko.  You’re going to die if you do, and she’s not worth saving, and for once in his life, he listens.
Kyoko dies, and the only thing they hear before everything goes black is, “Boring,” in the voice of someone who should have been dead weeks ago.
~
Alter Ego steps in to save Kyoko, but Makoto doesn’t have the skeleton key, and she dies of starvation in the garbage, like Sayaka did, only without her legs broken.  Sometimes she yells through the hatch, sometimes she makes it all the way up the ladder and bangs on it, but Hiro’s still alive and he calls it a ghost in the system.
It doesn’t matter, they still don’t have the key, and it’s not like they can convince anyone else to jump down to save her.
(She leaves it running just long enough to hear Kyoko’s wheezing gasp and then restarts the Game.  It makes her stomach churn.  Almost as much as seeing the image of her own skeletal frame mimicked in Kyoko’s body.
There’s nothing fun about seeing someone you love starve to death.)
~
Sayaka succeeds.
Sayaka succeeds, and she doesn’t try to kill herself because even though she didn’t know her actions would cause everyone else to die, she did, somehow, and so she’s prepared for what it means to graduate, what it means to win, what it means to get out alive.
Sayaka looks up at the Mastermind with eyes wide with recognition and hears, “Can’t end the show on one episode!  Sorry, babe.”
(She’s cruel when she says that Sayaka’s band members are all dead.  Her despair is warm as a beating heart.)
~
Makoto doesn’t switch rooms with Sayaka, and when Leon goes to meet with her, they have a nice conversation about music, and nobody dies.
Makoto doesn’t switch rooms with Sayaka, but Hina still hides herself with Sakura, and instead of waking up one day to Leon or Sayaka’s murdered body, they wake up another day later to Hina having disappeared and the school smelling of burnt flesh.
The thing is, they all know what happened to Hina, but none of them actually discover her body, so there’s no announcement.
It feels a bit like this isn’t the right ending.
~
(This time, she gives Sakura explicit murder instructions.  No throwing bodies in the incinerator.  You have to die this time, Sakura.
Sakura tries to strangle her instead, which is a fun thought, except that she grins and grins and grins.)
~
(This time, she tells Sayaka that her band members are all alive.  Safe and sound.)
~
Makoto doesn’t switch rooms with Sayaka, and Makoto convinces Hina to sleep somewhere else, and Sakura rips off Celeste’s fake hair, and Mukuro looks up at the cameras with eyes that clearly ask, Is this what you wanted, sis?
~
The next time, Mukuro hesitates before the Spears of Gungnir hit her.  She looks up at the cameras and blinks twice.  Her head tilts ever so gently to one side.  Then her gaze flicks to the spears.  Her mouth makes a small, Oh.
(She hits the respawn button so hard that it nearly breaks.)
~
(It doesn’t matter.)
~
Mukuro hesitates before stepping on Monokuma and decides against it.  She doesn’t know why.  She trusts her sister, obviously, but something says not to provoke her right now.
Even if it is scripted.
~
When Chihiro doesn’t die, Alter Ego is a lot more aggressive.
(Unfortunately for them, she has her own Alter Ego by this point, working in the shadows, stopping them at every turn.)
~
Unfortunately for Mukuro, when she doesn’t get killed by the Spears of Gungnir, Sakura kills her instead.  Grabs her head between both hands and presses together until—
Well.
Mukuro tries to stop her.  Claws shreds in Sakura’s legs with the razor sharp bear claws she’s been given in the place of fingernails.
Her head explodes, eventually.  Blood and brain mixed together all over the walls.  Not as cool as when Jack killed Mondo, of course, but still pleasantly appealing.  It’s hard to even tell the difference between the pink of her blood and the pink of her brains.
Kyoko finds the small bits of flesh under Mukuro’s fake fingernails, notes the gauze wrapped around Sakura’s legs, and puts two and two together.
(Maybe next time Sakura should kill Kyoko.)
~
Mukuro turns before Sakura can grab her head between her hands, but it doesn’t do any good.
Sakura grabs her head between her thighs and smashes it faster.
(She’s not gonna lie – that was impressive.  She should save a video of that just for her own personal use.)
~
Sakura tries to strangle the Mastermind, and a still living Mukuro slits her throat before any harm can come to her.
Unfortunately, this is still considered a murder.
The Spears of Gungnir make a return!  It’s not as fun this time.
~
(This time, she tells Sayaka the truth: There is no escape.)
~
Sakura strangles Kyoko, and none of them are smart enough to figure out that she did it.
Sakura confesses at the end because, unlike Sayaka, she will never find it acceptable to sacrifice the rest of her classmates just to find out the truth.
~
Hina drowns in the swimming pool.
Chihiro is impaled with spears that, really, no one else should have access to.
Makoto thinks he’s seen all of this before, his stomach cramping with nothing but déjà vu.
~
(The Game is boring without Kyoko.
The Game is worse when she has the same memories everyone else does.
The Game suffers because even without her memories, Kyoko can’t be anyone other than who she is.
The unfortunate thing is that this has never worked out for her.  If she lost her memories, she would be an entirely different person.  But no one ever takes her memories.
Yasuke tried, sure, and would have succeeded if he had figured out a way to make it permanent.
Unfortunate, then, that she was the one to figure it out.
It could have saved so many problems.
Not least of which is how bored she is getting with this entire thing.)
~
Makoto wakes up.
Makoto walks into the front room to meet all of his new classmates.
Within thirty seconds, every single one of them is impaled.
He doesn’t understand what’s going on.
Blood trickles from his lips.
He looks up at video cameras and wonders who, in their right mind, would enjoy this sort of thing?
(No one.  She doesn’t even enjoy this.  She just had to do it.  At least once.  Just to see what would happen.)
~
This time, only most of them are impaled.
Makoto and Kyoko are both left alive.
Mukuro tries to pull a Sayaka and write something in her blood, but another spear stabs direct through both of her hands, stopping her.
Even without her memories, Kyoko knows enough to know that Makoto didn’t do something like this, although she doesn’t know how – or why – she knows this.  It’s baked into her blood, after all.
It’s not baked into Makoto’s blood, though.
He drops to his knees and sobs.
(There’s something fun about seeing Makoto break, she can’t deny that.  But even that gets boring after a while.
When Kyoko figures her out, she yawns.  She waves her fingers at Kyoko, who stares at her through the video cameras, and resets the Game again.)
~
Once, Mukuro points a gun at the back of the Mastermind’s head.
Enough.
The Mastermind just laughs.
What’s enough?
The Mastermind resets the Game again before Mukuro can stop her.
(Then she makes some changes in the code so that can’t happen again.)
~
Sakura catches the Mastermind exactly once.
She pops her head between her thighs with a strange sense of déjà vu.
But with the Mastermind dead, that should be it, shouldn’t it?  Everything should—
(She had to know.  She had to know what it felt like.  She planned it so that her hand would fall on the reset button as she died.)
~
Junko resets and she resets and she keeps her memory of every Game and she has clips here and there and everywhere.  When she gets bored, she replays some of her favorite moments, but they don’t have the same appeal they once did.  Unfortunately, she can feel herself growing tired even of those.
And while there are still a lot more versions of the Game she could run, a lot more deaths she could see, she’s….
Tired.
Sure, sure, in a real Game, there would be a secret ending to unlock if she got every ending, but let’s be real here, how long will that take?  And it’s not like there’s a guide for this, or anything like that.
Junko runs the pad of her thumb on the button and wonders just what would need to happen for Makoto to kill someone.
Then, she grins.
~
Makoto figures it out.
Kyoko doesn’t figure it out; Makoto does.
It’s something he can’t even name, something about seeing Junko’s freckles and Junko’s magazines, and it hits him like a wave of…of something.
That’s not figuring it out, of course.
He’d say he was remembering it, but it feels like…like there’s a lot he doesn’t remember.
~
Makoto wakes while everyone slumbers and makes his way to an unlocked kitchen and sees her standing there, bag of Cheetos in one hand and a pair of chopsticks in the other, munching them a little too loudly, and when she holds the bag out to him, he doesn’t take it.
If I kill you, will that stop everything?
She grins.  Won’t know if you won’t try, will you, lucky boy?
~
A complete set.
Junko looks at a complete set and lets out a sigh.
That’s fine, then.
She can be done.
This time, when she resets everything, she wipes their minds again.  Sure, sure, it’ll play like it did the first time, probably.
Unless she makes some adjustments.
~
(Makoto doesn’t know what he needs to do to keep himself from dying.  She’ll fix that.  But nothing else.
That Game wasn’t the most entertaining, but.  Well.
She’ll give them the highlights of the other Games afterwards.  Won’t that be fun?
Oh!  And she’ll reset it and let them out.  A final prize!  Everyone’s alive!
But all of you have killed each other so many times.
That will be fun to see!
Puhuhuhuhu….~)
~
Junko has seen these executions hundreds of times, knew how to beat them after once.  Ultimate Analyst, baby.
It’s only the compactor that she has no real control over.
Of course, by now, Junko knows how to beat it, if she wants, but she’s playing it like she should have that first time.  Instead of pulling out the button and triumphantly pushing it right as the compactor falls (resetting everything and saving herself the pain of being crushed), she lets it fall.
(She has already been crushed by the compactor.  It hurts, but not in the warm, comforting way that having her head crushed by Sakura’s thighs had been.  This way, she’s conscious enough to feel every single one of her bones break, splinter, cut through her fragile skin.  Sometimes, her teeth shove up into her brain instead of simply cracking.  Sometimes both.  Her fingernails split down the middle, tear through her skin.  What a way to go.)
And even still, she looks up.
Maybe Alter Ego will save her this time.
It happens, every now and again.
(Sometimes, her own Alter Ego saves her, too, and she sees the despair of there being two of her entering all of the survivors before she resets the Game.  It was splendidly thrilling the first time, but even that has lost its luster.)
But no.
She set this to end the way it should have the first time Makoto was smart enough to save himself.
It’s not the most painful death.
But it will suffice.
~
When Junko dies, crushed beneath the compactor that should have (but did not) crush him, a red button skids across the floor, spattered with her blood.  Makoto picks it up, only for Kyoko to take it from him.  She comments on how the button itself seems well-used, how this is not a brand new shining button but that the color has started to fade, how some of the patterns around it have worn off from use.  She puzzles over that; it doesn’t make sense that the button intended to let them out should look like this.
But the others don’t care, but Makoto doesn’t care.
Byakuya snatches the button from her hands and marches to the door, pretending to be their leader again when everyone can see that he very clearly wasn’t.
They gather in front of the door.
He presses the button.

Hello their sir/friend, I saw that you're writing for Danganronpa and I got giddy so hope your not busy at the moment, Mukuro and Kyoko with a Male Reader who's the ultimate martial artist, but, with a twist, (Spoilers for Kengan Ashura/Omega fans) he uses the "Formless Style", a form of martial art that is made for adaptability, and having a wide range of moves to choose from, like an instinctive reaction, going limp to avoid, withstand, or deflect attacks, and striking at the first opportunity almost instantaneously, but, the "training" is both worth it and not worth it at the same because of the "Gu Rituals", a fight to the death where all students are placed in a single room and forced to kill each other and only one survives, so what would happen if those two learned about the Gu Rituals and the scarring things the reader had to do in order to make it out alive? Thank you for listening and have a good rest of your morning/evening/night :)
Life or Death

Kyoko
Kyoko and always been observant she had noticed your well-built stature. To anyone else, this was clear as day your height and muscles far surpassed most others in Hopes Peak Academy. Kyoko could tell there was to you wanting the strength that muscles gave you.
While Kyoko had the means to figure out why it wasn't her place. You were her boyfriend so whether you wanted to talk about it to her or not was entirely up to you. Little did she know it wouldn't be long until she found out the truth.
It was a day unlike any other for Kyoko nothing special or bad about her day as of yet. Currently, she is in her dorm room reading. Just then she heard a knock at her door putting a bookmark into the book she got up from her desk to see who it was.
"Hi Kyoko can I come in? You aren't busy are you?" You spoke and smiled at Kyoko but she could tell something was off. "No, I'm not busy I was just reading. Come on in S/O."
You entered and walked over to Kyoko's bed and sat on it. Kyoko closed the door and then walked over and sat next to you. "Is everything alright S/O? You don't seem like yourself."
"Ah, so you've already noticed? I just wanted to talk with you about something. It's something that happened today." You spoke as you looked down at the floor.
Kyoko said nothing in response instead waiting for you to continue talking. "As you know I'm the Ultimate Material Artist. It's something I'm proud and not proud of."
"Why is that?" Kyoko spoke looking at you as you were trying to find the words to continue talking.
"The form of Material Arts I practice is Formless Style. For this form of Material Arts, I'm able to go limp to avoid attacks, withstand, and deflect attacks attacks and train me in speed being able to attack almost instantly.
To be able to do any of this I undergo training it's something I'm grateful for but it's also something I hate. Me and many other students take part in Gu Rituals where we have to kill each other until only one is left."
As you finished Kyoko kept her usual stoic expression however just because she had this expression did not mean she did not care. Kyoko was worried she was really worried. Worried about that if you were forced to do it or not she was worried about the injuries you had gotten from these Gu Rituals.
"S/O I can see how these Gu Rituals can help enhance your strength, speed, and agility. However, that doesn't deny the fact that they are incredibly dangerous and deadly. But despite this, I admire your determination and perseverance to overcome these trials. But just know I'll be keeping a closer eye on you from now on and supporting you however I can."
Kyoko spoke as she rested a hand on your shoulder. You smiled at her and then hugged her as tears fell down your face. She wrapped her arms around you and you felt safe in her arms.
Mukuro
Mukuro had always seemed to keep a close eye on you and you were never sure why. Of course, you never had offended her in any way and yet you could always feel her eyes on you. You had brought this up with Sakura when you were training.
Sakura suggested talking with Mukuro after all if don't this will just go on forever, won't it? So that's exactly what you did after you finished training with Sakura. You wanted to know why Mukuro seemed so suspicious of you and if you had done anything to offend her that you weren't aware of.
However, you wouldn't have to go far to find Mukuro as she was outside of the gym where you are Sakura were training. Was she waiting for you? Oh well, that's not important but what is what you need to talk with her about.
You were worried as you feared you had done something to upset her. But the both of you did trust each other no matter what. So there's no reason to keep secrets isn't that right?
You were about to speak but Mukuro spoke before you got the chance. "Y/N why is it that you train so much? Is it for strength? To defend yourself? Or something else entirely? " Mukuro was no fool just like with Sakura Ultimate Talent she knew why you trained however there was more to that wasn't there?
Mukuro had observed you and Sakura closely because of this she had noticed the difference in your style of fighting. "Well ever since I was younger being the Ultimate Martial Artist was expected of me. If I didn't hold up those expectations there would be dire consequences."
Mukuro said nothing as she stayed silent letting you continue to speak. "To gain my strength and abilities I was...forced to take part in something known as Gu Rituals. I and other students are placed in a room with each other and are forced to fight to the death.
That is how I gained my strength and that is how I gained these abilities. I'm not proud of what I've done but I only did because I was afraid I didn't want to die all I wanted was to live and to no longer take part in those rituals."
Mukuro was speechless for a moment and that could be seen on her face. So you've killed people? Even if was against your wishes it's something she didn't expect but she wouldn't hold it against you after all she is no different.
"Thank you for opening up to me Y/N and I'm sorry if I seemed pushy about the subject. However, I just want you to know that you're strong and you being here today proves that. As long as you are here with me I'll protect you from having to take part in any more of those rituals I swear it."
