Since I’m spectacularly 3G to the fandom I’m sure this has been brought up before but I just noticed it so I was wondering if you might have any thoughts about it:

When Olivia walks out of the beach house with Nick in Surrender Benson, and when she comes to a stop with Tucker to say “thank you” in Townhouse Incident — in both of those scenes, the moments where she’s just gone through a horrible trauma, and the immediate threat has just been eliminated, she has her hands out, flat, with her fingers spread wide. It’s almost identical, in both scenes.

The obvious explanation is probably shock, but, I don’t know — I feel like there’s more there.

It seems to me like maybe it’s “holy shit what have I done” or “okay I might be dead but i know I cannot touch anything, evidence this is evidence” or “no one touch me my hands are dirty i will make you dirty if i touch you I need to clean my hands right now”

I don’t know, I just think it’s interesting that she does it both times; I’m curious if that was on purpose or if that was how Mariska felt Olivia would react.

I think you're absolutely right; like yes, it's shock, but it's more than that. she knows she's evidence, now. I'm thinking about when Sonya died, and she bit the attacker, right, clawed at him or whatever, did anything and everything she could as, she was dying, to collect some last bit of evidence to be used against him. and I am thinking about Olivia saying that's what I would do. Olivia has thought about this before, about what she would do if she were attacked like that, and she knows she would do whatever she could to preserve the evidence. just like she does here. and you'll note nick and carisi and tucker are careful not to touch her hands, either, probably for the very same reason. that is bleak but a fascinating piece of character work.

Okay so I didn’t think much of this event. I wasn’t even going to do it since I was never really a Satan simp. He’s perfectly my type but due to past experiences I’m kinda traumatized from blonde men so 😀 he just got dealt a bad hand. I was perfectly content with this until I actually did the event.

The other brothers [ besides our old man Luci ] were particularly being a pain in thy ass. Even I felt myself getting pretty annoyed but when Satan got mad in defense of us I was like 🥺 you didn’t have to- but then with the options him and mc were given?? that was pure softness. This event fucking took me by my neck and said we got reverse comfort babe come check it and I followed like a damn dog. Also it does not help that Satan’s lines have always been more graceful / romantic [ at least to me that’s how it is, but that’s probably because of the nerd and his books. still would smooch though tbh ] and I just can’t my heart cannot with this today.
