Not just in the art, btw. They actually mention it: "Starlo's left hand is shaking."

It always intrigues me whenever a character is drawn as being left-handed. Since most people are right-handed, many artists tend to draw characters as right-handed. The decision to draw someone as left-handed is usually a conscious one. And especially in Star's case. Now, I know very little about Clint Eastwood, I've never even seen any of his movies. But I do know (thx to Back to the Future 3 and an episode of Supernatural) that the poncho and the music and few other things in Star's design are references to Eastwood (I wouldn't have the faintest clue which movie, tho). So I checked and it looks like Eastwood is right-handed.

So the decision to make Star left-handed was a conscious and deliberate one. They weren't just copying Eastwood there.

It always stands out to me when someone is left-handed, because I've always been fascinated by the idea that lefties are especially creative. This does hold true in Star's case- I mean, the guy built the entire Wild East based off a few old gunslinger movies.

I wish I knew how to reach out to the devs. All I knew to do was leave a comment on GameJolt. And I'm not on Twitter or anything like that. My best guess is that Star's designer might be a leftie, and they based Star on that. Or perhaps it's a reference to a different character.

At any rate, whether it's a reference, or has some meaning, or whatever, I think it's a very cool detail. Star has a very big personality, he's someone you simply cannot ignore, and frankly, I think he's just plain cool, anyway. Making him a leftie just made him that much more unique.

EDIT: I was so goshdarn curious, I sent an ask to the official Tumblr for UTY. Crossing my fingers and hoping they reply.

me personally, i just think that the entire yamato gender arguments are completley unecessary

like there are so many different and interesting aspects of yamatos character other than their gender identity that people can argue and have different types of disscussions/opinions about but no you just want to sit here and bash eachothers heads over whether its a boy or a girl because oda made a color spread that if you really think about, has nothing to do with yamatos overall gender identity and was most likely made for profit/fan content

Laudna and Ashton

Out of all the Bells Hells, I’m most obsessed about Laudna. I mean her motto at least wheat she keeps telling herself, the worst thing that’s ever happened to her has already happened which is why she presents such a happy nature. Even without the whole Delilah in her head i still think she would be my absolute favorite. I’m wondering when she will acknowledge that her death still traumatizes and affects her, because I really believe she’s trying to bury those feelings as it’s obviously very painful and wants to avoid recognizing them.

Ashton comes in second for me because yeah he’s portrayed somewhat of a criminal for hire, but he has his morals as well. Taliesin says this is someone who’s never had anything good happen to them, and makes me so invested in knowing more about them and figuring out what the fuck happened to them.

Unpopular opinion: Imogen’s story is probably the one Bells Hells member i’m not completely invested in yet, i don’t know what it is but i’m not completely draw into it yet. Not saying i don’t like the character, but her whole mind reading thing isn’t selling it for me yet.

i will say, altho i think its cool that there are still scene kids, i also think its rly sad that theres no like....unique subculture created by youth today?? like when ppl dress "scenecore" theyre just trying to wear a perfectly curated caricature of wat ppl used to wear in 2007. and same goes for the adjacent "-cores". its all cosplay.. but like cosplay thats so overly perfected it removes the essence of ugliness that used to make these styles so endearing. when i think back to being scene during the 2000s, it felt like, so cool because it was this new thing that we all created together. by the uglies, for the uglies..sure it was loosely based on punk fashion or whatever but. it was repurposed and evolved naturally into a new style. i feel like kids now dont do that anymoe? like theres no social capital in it so they dont bother. its kinda depressing.

The base game of Sonic Frontiers completely spoiled this fandom.

Is Final Horizon difficult? Yes. Do I suck at it? Heck yes! But do I hate it? NO!

So far, I've only gotten past the first trial tower. And yeah, I do wish Sega had warned us that the new DLC would have a MAJOR difficulty spike. I thought I was doing badly as Amy, Knux, and Tails because their stats weren't levelled up and I was having trouble adjusting to the new abilities; and that could be some of it, but even playing as Sonic is more difficult than the base game.

I've seen a lot of people say that Sonic fans are lousy gamers in general, and... I think they're right, ha! Some of the platforming in Final Horizon feels like a 3D Metroid or Hollow Knight- one slip-up and if you're not dead, or you've at least lost several minutes' work.

Don't even get me started on those Cyberspace time trials, ugh. I only opened 1 portal, and never found the goal.

Even the map is more difficult. The puzzles themselves are much more challenging than in the base game, and they only reveal about a half dozen map squares.

But... it makes sense. For one thing, this was where the Ancients gathered for prayer and reflection. The people gathered here would have no means of defending themselves; and besides, this seems to have been the center of all their knowledge and technology. So, it HAD to have the most sophisticated cybersecurity (which, for the Ancients, extended into the physical world as well as the digital- hence the lunatic platforming). Anyway, Elder and Hermit Koco already said Ouranos was designed to hide and protect the Emeralds.

The story gets even more complicated when you start defeating the Trial Towers (I've only defeated the 1st one) and you have to fight the Titans' pilots. The other Koco might be forgiving of Sonic for what he did to the Titans, but not the ghosts of the pilots. Makes sense to me that they might be influencing cyberspace and even the Ouranos security system to keep Sonic from doing any more damage.

As for the gameplay itself- yeah, it's hard. But I don't think it's unfair (altho, again, I think Sega should have warned us about the difficulty spike). Given time, I think I can figure out how to get thru these. They're not too much worse than some of the Special Koco from the 2nd DLC, or the Rhea Island towers.

And am I complaining a lot about it? Yeah, I am. But at the same time, I can admit that the main problem isn't the design, it's my skill level (although I will forever complain about Sega's camera angles...). The level design is actually not bad, IMO. I just need to learn how to use it.
